Dear Sir,
My native place is Nagercoil ,Kanyakumari District. I am working at Coimbatore. From the last railway budjet our honarable railway minister Thiru.Lalu anaunced Coimbatore - Nagercoil Express Daily night Train. Immediately southern railway anaunced Train Number,Train Timing,Train Fair.Around 10 months left.So for train running date not anaonced.Around 50% of the total population of coimbatore is south tamilnadu people. They are doing business and jobs at Coimbatore.But so for no night train to south tamilnadu. But new and new omni buses are introduced with high travel ticket fare.In coimbatore ,so many meetings and fightings were conducted. But no use. Please look in this .

World Phone — Lack of training of railways employees

This is a very bad experience regarding your services . it has been finacial loss and more of a mental harrasment. I have booked an i-ticket of 11th november 2007 of Shane-punjab. from Phagwara to New delhi. On reaching the station the train was late for more than 6 hours. So we caught a deluxe bus from jallandhar to delhi and had given the ticket to my brother for cancellation. So he went to jallandhar station to cancel the ticket and he was told that this ticket is from phagwara and will be cancelled from there. So he went to phagwara and the guy over there told that this will be cancelled over internet only like it was booked. It is well known that i-ticket is cancelled from the counter itself accross the country and only e-ticket is cancelled on the net. . 4 days back I have cancelled my shatabdi i- ticket in the same way. Now the ticket is in punjab without been cancelled . There was no reply from customer care dept. after several reminders.

I Vinay Sukla running a business in bangalore and used to travel a lot by train and get my tickets on my own at Banashankari Complex reservation office and I have been observed this particular lady is behaving in a rude manner with all the passengers who is comming to book tickets.

This is to inform the officials who is reading this mail as this is my 2nd complaint about rude behavior of a railway staff at Banashankari Complex reservation office, Bangalore of south western railays. On 07/11/2007 the lady who was issuing tickets in the counter No.1 had an argument with a boy who had come there to take some tickets and that boy seems to have used some bad words on her for that the lady had come out of the counter and hit that boy who is aged about 23-25 years with her slippers in fromt of so many public who had come to book tickets. even when we trid to convince her to get herself cool but she used bad words to even some senior citizens who tried to convince her and later she dragged that bot in side tthe cabin and tore his shirt, the tickets booked by him also was torn. when I tried to make this as a complaint I happend to Speak to one Mr Dattathreya i was told that he is a vigilence officer of indianrailways he gave ma a Number of Divisional Railway manager where we can book a complaint because this happend to be a disipline matter of Railways. When i tried to call up that particular mobile number to book a complain noone was picking up the phone.

All my worry is that I had been to Banashankari Railway Reservation Office I could see that lady behaving in the same rude manner with a senior citizen who had come to book his tickets. This show that no action is been taken on that lady,(If any action were to have taken she must have changed herself to a polite manner atleast with a Senior Citizen ) We being Indians should have some culture to respect Elderly persons and even if we cannot do good things to them we should not do things by misbehaving with the Senior Citizens.

I think this is a shame full matter for Indian Railways for having hiring such ill mannered people at a public place.

Hope some body to take action and get the respects restored to our senior citizens.

Aag kal jo horaha hai ohe Indian Railways ke lieya bhut hi kharab dik hai. All reservation seat 1 month pehelei bik jata hai. 1 month pehele reservation karke confirm nahi hota hai lekin paise dene se 55-10 minuts pehelei reservation mil jata hai. Pure dalal na kharid leta hai yea keya Railways ke lieya aacha hai? Agar iska koi karwai hai to please kare or Indian Railways ka nam roson rakeh Thanking you

Today morning (29/Dec/07), I had been to the Malleswaram Railway Station alongwith my father (a senior citizen) to buy tickets. There were very few people in the station. I was the only one to sit in the queue. The 10-15 other people in the station were queueing up at the counter directly. The Railway officer (SANTHANAM) issuing tickets asked everyone to sit down. I was supposed to be at the first of the queue, but SANTHANAM insisted that I go back to the end of the queue, which was unfair. When I tried to explain the situation, SANTHANAM misbehaved with me and my father and asked us to go back to the end of the queue (which was already about 15-20 people).
I request Railway dept to review these cases and take necessary and immediate action. Also, please keep us informed of your actions.

On 26/12/07in bhopal railway station in the monring we r coming from new delhi to bangalore in karnataka express in ganeral boggy.im slepping in the bed.suddenly Railway police are come & beat me &they taken my 300 ruppy.same place last year 04/11/06 in goa express in 12;00 am in the night.im going to goa.police beat me by stick &they taken me near toilet&they taken my 500 ruppy.same types of so many case heppening in bhopal,itarasi&bhusawal.we can't get the e-mail address for complant last year.so we r complaning this year.we r came from north side .sir we can't get the identification of raiyway police.plese help the passanger.how they r taking illigal charge from we.we don't know about railways rules.

I would like to draw your kind attention that all Patients from Northern & Eastern Part of India are been harrash by the TT's of Katpadi Station( Vellore). Some how they take money from the patient's or attendors and they don't give any receipt. But unfortunately they don't harrash the people who can speak Tamil. This is very unfortunate that at CMC Vellore arround 80% patient comes from Eastern & Northern part of India.

You are farvently requested to do the needfull at the earliest.

I have booked tickets for my mother in Feb'08 for the travel in Apr'08. My mother happens to be a senior citizen and when I had booked the tickets I got 30% off. With new rules in place she should get 50% off.

I would like to know how to claim the refund.

Most respectfully n humbly i would i like to say that i want a complaint registered against the railway consumer forum. the incident goes this way i Tarachand Chhajed n my wife were travelling from suryanagri express from Mumbai to Jodhpur on 20/03/2008 and had a ticket with waiting list nos 5, 6 respectively in 2-tier ac, the PNR no is [protected]. When we boarded train from mumbai the T.T did check our ticket for 1 hour n then when he checked he started behaving in very rude manner n started abusing my wife n then made us to leave the ac compartment n then were shifted to the sleeper class bogie, the T.T's name was "RAJKUMAR .P. MEENA". So my request is that please take strong actions against that T.T and refund us the difference money because we travelled in second class compartments and got mental harrasments also so please react on it as soon as possible and reply me as soon as possible...

hi sir,
iam living in Chandigarh.I want to complain about the attitude of railway reservation clerks at sector 17, chandigarh. they dont bother to come to their duty in time. Their work speed is too slow. They should get some commission so that they come in time and try to change their culture.
In the Railway booking counter at sector-11 Rohini, delhi, the couter clarks are not behaving well with the public. They are shouting at every one. They are not guiding the public properly. Their speach also not audiable because of their age (about 59). As a result of their mis-guidance, one person has lost about Rs. 480/- because of booking of six tickets in wrong route and subsequently cancelled. Public who are dare enough are also shouting at the staff for their mis behaviour . complaints book is not available (or they hesitate to give). Some vigilance officers from Railways are to be deputed to watch the scene atleast for 15 minutes so that they may understand the problems faced by the public. (This is fourth such nature of complaint by me for the last two years. but nothing is responded) My request is, this may atleast be seen by any responsible railway officer.

Southern Railways — complaint regarding no answering of enquiry telephone number and rude replies

this is regarding the working condition of tirur railway station in malappuram district in kerala state under sothern railway.. they even not answer the telephone numbers for enquiry at any time [protected] is there enquiry no: and also 131.
Respected Sir/Madam,

On[protected], I planned to travel from Madurai to Chennai Egmore by

Rameswaram Express. I went to the station as per the timing printed in the

ticket. But I couldn’t catch the train on that day, because the departure time

of the train time was changed on that day. I enquired in Madurai Junction

Enquiry in person, they told me that the departure time of train was changed

from that day, asked me to write my name & other details in a Register and

guaranteed to refund the charges.

After that, I went to the Madurai Divisional office more than five times to get the refund. They have

given a reciept and whenever I went, they told me that the train ticket charges will

surely be sent to my residential address as per the receipt. I am still awaiting

for that.


Each and every time their told me that, go and come the next week… still

now your query is processed. I can’t believe that.

Mumbai Nagarcoil Express which travels from Mumbai to Nagarcoil the trains provided to the passengers is really in a very bad conditions so i request you to provide new train or the train which is better conditions so that the passengers can travel comfortably, And we also want good food to be provided in the canteen and it should be charged reasonably. And there is more frequency of the train. So plz do the needful.

Respected Sir,

With due respect we Citizen of India, want to bring in to your kind

attention about the problem we faced during the journey from Mumbai to

Baroda JN. on 10/05/2008 by train Gorakhpur Avadh Express. Following

trouble we faced in General Coach No. G-2.

2. Toilets were so dirty and impossible to use .
3. Language problem with the attending person .
4. police men on the duty was act very badly it also threating some

uneducated people who travel from general class they also ask for move

from their compartment from some specific people and they offer seat to

some people ...what we think about it ? ist it ...Bri...?
5 police men on duty it also behave very badly with two or three people

and even they beat them ...it this democrat country why we tolerate

such behavior we excuse u to take Quick Action Against this type of

government officer...they are recruited for serve the public not for

suck the public...

please take action against so no one threaten and no one ask fpr

With reference to the above subject, we the daily travelers would like to bring you a few lines for your kind consideration and favorable action in this matter please.

Sir above 10, 000 people are traveling everyday to Bangalore, who are working for various sectors for their livelihood by purely depending on Suvarna passanger Train .No.523-524, we hope you might have also aware of it. But recently the Kolar Bangarapet passanger was extended up to Bangalore(BNC), Which is run by within 5-10 minutes gap before Suvarna passanger. And also we are observing that it is not in proper running condition and most of the time it has got breakdown, so obviously it affecting the other trains espically Suvarna Passanger.

Because of this problem, we are not bale to reach our offices inon time. we would like to inform that,

the train is getting delayed everyday, sometime the train reaches the Bangalore city around 9:45 - 10:00a.m in the morning, Sir we leave our home in the early morning around 5:50a.m to catch the train,
And in Night times the train reaches Marikuppam station around 9:45p.m -10:00p.m, and this creates a lot of problems to the Lady Travelers, and many of them comes from a far village, and they don, t have the proper Auto facility at Night times, we reach our home around 11:00p.m & leave our home 5:50,

we are suffering a lot of problems due to the inconvenient,
and we are into a lot of mental illness and stress everyday whether we reach the office in/on time, And most of the employees have lost their employment due to the cause.

And some time the Suvarna passanger is run on time it is upto KJM (Reaches by 8:40-50) and after that it takes 35-50 minutes to reach SBC in the morning time.

So we kindly request your good self to look into this application and take the necessary / seriouse action to run the above said train in/on time on pripority.

i aslso want to let u knw all people that i was travelling from ashram express on 21-05-08 in 2 a.c from ajmer to ahmedabad
and in route my mobile N-73 was stolen.i reached ahmedabad on 22-05-08 morning i went home and find bill copy for that mobile and went to rpf kalupur on 23-05-08 to lodge a fir
i was surprised when the police official said it is uselss to lodge fir go and purchase new mobile, what happen if its lost, why have u not come on the same day, now leave we are not going to register ur fir. this type of sentece was told to me
it is very shame full to railway system and all plice official
they creat and encourage crime tendency in public
police is responsible for all the crime they all know who is responisble but money matters
police only want to make money nothing else they are on platform to harrase pasengers open there bags and ask for some money for tea.

Angadippuram Railway Station Revenue must be not bad for the present time to Railway Business in India. 10 trains passing through the station between Shornur and Nilambur. Most of the People from Perintalmanna, Malappuram, Manjeri used to travel this station without any problem to anywhere in the India.

But the Counter for ticket is too small and two personnel sitting to issue the ticket always getting delay to the passenger even most of the time train leaves the platform and passenger running with ticket or without the ticket.

Better develop the ticket counter area and place more staff for ticketing and minimise the long long troubled this situation in that railway station.

This is to inform you, we frequently travel by train, my family (my husband, my kid 9 year old and brother and his freind) were traveling to Amritsar dated 31st May, 2008 by Golden temple to Amritsar by 2AC from Mumbai, we had ordered lunch on 01 June, 2008, in lunch we found a dead cockroach in food, which was pathetic surprising. When we had requested for a complaint book the service boy denied to provide that. He took luch and breakfast money and left.

Is their any other way to complaint such kind of incidents, We expect for a long journey atleast the quality of food should be good.

Saurashtra Janta Express — Worst Sleeper Coach

Saurashtra Janta Express towards Jamnagar-Mumbai-Jamnagar sleeper coaches are worst. It seems they are never cleaned. You can find mosquito, insects, mouse etc during your entire journey. It would be highly appreciated if certain action is taken on this.

It may be appreciated that only one train runs between Madurai and Bangalore i.e., 6732 Tuticorin Exp and on its return 6731 Mys Exp. SImilarly between Tajore / Trichy and Blore only Mayiladuthurai exp runs. (6231 and 6232)

First of all getting ticket in these trains has become next to impossible. Either Railway shall increase the number of Coaches (say till S13 / S14 like in KK express) or introduce more trains between these destinations. Out of which increasing the Coaches will be easier option. Because now only S9 is the Max coach available in 6732 / 6731 if railway can add 5 more bogies which in deed increases capacity by almost 60%.

Further once they leave Blore Cantt next these trains stop only at Hosur and vice versa in between the train crosses almost whole of East Bangalore and South Bangalore where more of our IT / ITe Service people stays who forced to come to Cantt / City stations. Instead if the trains stops at Byappanahalli and Sarjapur Road stations which will ease lot of problems to people who stays in these localities. Especially for Trichy bound people they are forced to take one hour permission / half day leave to catch the train. If railway introduces these stations and stop for 2 min lot of Man Power as well as auto / taxi charges shall be saved.

Kindly intimate us whom to contact in this regard and if required we will run a "Signature Campaign" among all the people who are struggling due to the Chronic Issues.

Dear Sir,
I have lost my money bag at new Delhi railway station while entering into KArnataka Expres on[protected] at 9-30PM. Since the train arrive to the platform late, every was trying to enter the train. It was heavy rush. Some body has taken my purse . I have lost worth of Rs[protected]/ . I have done FIR, filled the form and handed over TTE and Manmad Railstation. I have given complain to Manmad Rail police. Kindly take action and arrange to pay me the compensation as it all happened due to late arrival of train at New Delhi RAil sation.
Railway administration should keep tower security point in all Railway station in India so that they can keep eyes on whole area
of Railway station.

Dear Sir

I would like to bring to your notice the sufferings of the RESERVED TICKET holders in the train ML50, which departed from NCJ to Melmaruvathur on January 18, 2008.

My PNR #[protected]. The tickets got confirmed by 11.30 hrs. on Jan. 18, 2008. We were allotted S4 55 & 63. We boarded the train, there started our mental strain. One Melmaruvathur devotee came with a TTE in NCJ, to check my ticket; the TTE confirmed our seats in S4. Even after that also, they were not satisfied.

We came to know thro one of the passengers named Mr. Rajendran, a lawyer that the train was booked only for Melmaruvathur devotees by paying Rs.700000/- (Rupees seven lakhs) and not for any other passengers. Later whoever crossed, questioned and checked our tickets and started arguing till Madurai (22.00 hrs.). More than 20 devotees would have questioned and argued with us for nearly eight and a half hours. One co-passenger Mr. Sivarajan suffered a lot, he was even pulled by one of the devotees from his allotted seat.

The entire journey was full of mental agony. Nearly 15 devotees sat in each and every cabin of S4, which was more congesting than unreserved. There were two types of coupons among the devotees. “Berth coupons” and “Ordinary coupons”, Though the devotees had “ordinary coupons” they were in this S4 compartment only.

Later boarded at Tirunelveli an old lady aged 75 and her son of 52 yrs. There both were pulled out of their seats by a few devotees and was allowed only to sit the entire journey till TPJ, though they both have confirmed seats. There were no TTE or RPF to rescue the old people. It was much worse.

At Madurai Junction a few of the reserved passengers were not allowed to enter into S5, they were man-handled by the devotees. I am not sure, whether they were allowed to enter into the compartment or not.

Problems might have been solved or even not raised, if
a. The entire train ML50 was allotted only to Melmaruvethur devotees (or)
b. The train was not listed for the public to book tickets (or)
c. Proper instruction would have given to the Melmaruvathur representatives as other reserved tickets were also allotted (or)
d. Any TTE or RPF is there for the rescue

None of the above instructions were given to them, and so, it added fuel to the issue of fire.

The purpose of mailing the above mentioned sufferings might be for your attention and necessary reaction. It would definitely help to protect the passengers in future, if the problems were rectified.

Hope to get a response in this regard.

Indian Railways — Worst behaviour of attendant and TTE

I with my family were travelling by Jammu Tawi Express (Train No 2472) in Coach No B4, Seat Nos. 50, 51, 53, 54, 56 on date 28/03/09 from Jammu to Kota.
My coach attendent Mr Shashi Shekhar was worst attendent I have ever seen. His behaviour to me and other copassengers was like that he is a relative of Lalooji. Despite little kids travelling with us, he did not provide us Bedsheets, pillows etc. till New Delhi. After New Delhi, he provided us stinking bedsheets, pillows and blankets which were unwashed for several days.Which were unable to use. When we tried to lodge a formal complaiint, he said talk to TTE. I talked to TTE, who was minting money by allotting tickets to unconfirmed outside passengers, he said that he is too busy and cannot give complaint register to me. TT name is Mr Sohan Lal Sharma.He also said that your complaint will be thrown in dustbin as always.

Other copassengers who were frequent in the train said that this is a routine practice in this coach and this duo of Mr Shashi Shekhar and Sohan Lal Shekhar is taking passengers for granted.

A lady special checking officer got in to the train @ siganallur (Coimbatore), she asked the ticket with my wife, she showed the E-ticket & a color Xerox laminated ID proof as a identity, but she disagreed the duplicate ID & asked for a fine of 410 Rs, finally she collect Rs 300 considering as without ticket travel & important is she collected the Xerox copy of E-ticket.

My Q?
Why TTR allowed the Xerox, he don’t have right to collect the ticket? He knows the genuineness of the person….

Why the special officer is there, they don’t have work so they are rechecking the ticket which has already checked by TTR? Are railway people don’t be live their TTR’s?

Why she wrote without ticket & collected the Xerox copy without returning?

On what basis she reduced the amount by 410 to 300? What, pocket money aa?

Or she wants give the account saying that she wants to catch hold these many peoples per day? Hope some rule will be there in Railway department is it so?

One thing you know? I lost my PAN card which I kept in my valet while travelling in the same train; I know the difficulty how I got duplicate of the same? So we prefer to keep a color Xerox with lamination, but you people’s rules & regulation makes the people to hate railway department, now I hated your railway department.

If possible please answer my questions for my satisfaction, we are middle class people we know the value of 300 Rs…

Indian Railways — Cocroaches in the train, bad behaviour of attendant

Dear Sir,

I have recently travelled by the grand trunk Express 2616, from Bhopal to Nagpur in the 2nd ac compartment on 29th june 09. We faced a lot of problems.

- Firstly the coach was filled with lots of Cocroaches
- The attendant was not knowing any langauge except TAmil.
- On asking for bed Roll, he provided us after half an hour which was is bad shape.
- The TT never came, we went searching for him, as from our 2 tickets, we had only 1 seat s no.

The coach was A2, my PNR is [protected].

If railways is providing such bad services what is it charging us for in 2nd ac, NO CLEANLINESS, NO BED ROLLS, NO PROPER RESPONSE from the staff.

(GPV[protected], along wit that my luggage worth 5200 was stolen(2200 in cash), when contacted old delhi police officers they said that lodging an fir is useless and you are not going to get these things back, and instead of FIR they took a written complain about lost of my mobile phone, my sim cards and voter id which i lost during the journey, without mentioning theft any where, so that no one can use it unauthorised, in other way round is that they dont have to investigate the case, sir this shows how the police is "friendly& responsible" towards public . i want the case to be investigated get the culprits behid barso that these kind of incidents be controlled.

Two days back, my wife was travelling from howrah express 2833 with e-ticket-3rd ac and carrying Xerox copY of pan card as ID Proof. TT came and asked for ticket and also asked for id prrof, she showed the xerox copy .. but TT told to produce the original copy of ID proof. She told she is not carrying .. but TT forced her to discontinue her journey or purchase a new ticket from her with fine.
I want to know how authenticity of rules behind this? secondly Is TT have rights to tel pessengers to dicontinue the journey. or purchase new ticket? Thirdly TT told to my wife that she can get back the money if she claims from Indian Railway after 6 months?
Fourthly suppose any pessengers is not carrying his original ID prrof and Carrying Xerox copy ATTESTED from NOTATRY OR GAZT OFFICER'will that be consider as Original?
Fifthly if pessengers carrying xerox copy which is not attested, will that be considered? ON THE WESTERN SIDE OF THE TICKET COUNTER THE RAILASY BOOKING STAFF ARE VERY RUDE AND ASK CHANGE OF 1 OR 2 OR 3,ETC AND HARRASS PASSANGERS.ALSO ON SUNDAYS THEY OPEN ONLY 4 COUNTERS INSTEAD OF MANDATORY 8 COUNTERS SINCE THE BORIVALI SIDE OF TICKET COUNTER IS CLOSED FOR RENOVATION.I HAD TO WAIT FOR 20 MINUTES FOR A TICKET WHICH OTHERWISE SHOULDN'T HAVE TAKEN ME 5 MINUTES.

Indian railway, tatkal ticket — Management is very bad

My comment on directly to mamta benarji. I want say her to leave the seat from railway minister. If she cann't even see basic think n solve the problem den what is the use of seating on seat. e; what is use of giving tatkal ticket,if No one will get the ticket rather den broker. Even all staff of ticket counter n police are packed with dem. Its very shame to vote for politition and say proud to be an indian. Not only this thing this kind of many things to improve in india.

Am from pondicherry, but now am working in chennai T.nagar, one day i traveled to Mambalam to chennai Fort(Egmore) in local train. I bought return ticket also, after i return to Mambalam, i was caught by Ticket checker, he told why you are traveling in first class coach. Then he said you should pay the fine amount Rs.250. plus ticket balance Rs.37. total Rs.287. fine amount i paid, But what i was feel is, in that Mambalam station there is no enquiry counter, And how uneducated people will bare this kind of activities and no one respond properly, they said this is the rules of Central Government to collect Rs.25, 000. of every month. they simply said like that. Is this the way they behave with passenger? Is it Government or Private concern? they way he is behaving is not proper with passenger, and even they said ask with Minster Mamata banerjee. There is no proper Banner, there is no proper answer, there is no enquiry counter. So please kindly take this as complain and do the needful. Arrange the proper enquiry counter in all local train junction. Please display the ticket rates and classes for local trains.

Dear Sir,

I am Sangeetha, Project Manager in a MNC, residing in Nungambakkam. I would like to file a case against the Railway ticket counter staff in Nungambakkam, Chennai. I have been observed this particular lady, in counter 2 (name unknown, age should be 50 plus and wearing specs, slim and she comes in the general shift) is behaving in a rude manner with all the passengers who is coming to buy tickets.

On 9th September 2010, at 9.00 am (Friday, last week), I went to buy a ticket. But there was a very long queue. Out of two general counters, only one was opened. We stood in the queue for more than a hour. This is happening everyday which causes inconvenience and delay to work to everyone.

I just enquired that lady staff, about the reason for not opening the other counter. But unexpectedly, she started shouting at me, and used more nasty words. She was so arrogant, used more bad words in front of everybody. This lady behaves in the same way with everybody and every complains about it.I think this is a shame full matter for Indian Railways for having hiring such ill mannered people at a public place. This was highly immoralising and harassment.

Just because they are the Government staff, they are taking more advantage, since we are in position to buy the ticket for that time.

I would really appreciate if the higher official of Railways take some necessary action against this lady staff, so that we can restore our respect to Railways.

I totally agree with contents of above complaints generally the staff of travelled coach is like the beahaviour quoted in above complaint. It gives much fruitfulness if this complaint also lodged to Chief Commercial Manager, Northern railway, New Delhi.
We requested station master to switch ON the cieling fans at waiting room, or ticket booking area, but he refused to do it, "Please note his head was under a running cieling fan".

I dont know the name of the station master, but he is young chap from whom we are expecting a desent behaviour, he was in night duty on[protected] at Kanhangad station.

Inside the platform area too many beggers are fighting each other through out night and nobody was there to control them, too many passenger family and kids are forced to sit in between them.

Station complaint book is "not available"as per teh same station master.

I travel from Muzzaffarpur to Hajipur every day, except Sunday, at 7 AM. The train never reached on time and moreover, the disatnce is just for 45 minutes but it always takes more then an hour and a half. The trains are very dirty.

My self and my family frequently travel between Bangalore-Chengannur by train no16526 & from Chengannur to Bangalore by train no 16525.
On 30/5/11 we were traveling by train no 16525 from Chengannur to Bangalore in
ES1 sleeper coach.The compartment was so dirty and cockroaches and other flies were in full.To add our problem one of the fan was not working and the other fans which is working was in slow motion.From the starting point there was no water in the toilet.
Besides this one of the toilet door was bend and could not be closed properly so that it could not be used.

It was a terrible journey by train.I request the concerned authorities pls look into this complaint before issuing a train ticket with "SUBHA YATRA".

When i said what gang, and which gang, then he slapped me, and abused me many times. after that he and his friends, who are also in a Railway Police said give me 2000/- Rs. otherwise i will take a action against you and make a charge sheet. Dear Sir/Madam, they are full with Alcohol. are they charged me 1350/- Rs. and also taking my Cell Phone. dear sir/Madam is it right? they do't have any right to misbehaviour with a Student and a local public like this, so take a necessary action against them.

This is to inform that SR (Southern railway) is not enough working or speedy working in laying New tracks through Villupuram - Tirchy, And through Chengalpattu - Villupuram. Very Very slow works and also for laying a single track, they take minimum 14 - 30 months. just to cover a distance of 100 - 250 Km. Not only the above section works, And also the Salem- Nammakal - Karur section railway lines are delaying years together. And also From bangalore There is only one train to Tuticorin (Via madurai) But there are no trains to travel long distance to Tirunelveli, sengottai, Nagercoil. These requested are complained from long long years ( from 1990s till date). But no action taken, Thousands of passengers travelling daily along these routes though private buses only. Even in allocating trains there is a partiallity shown among our railways sectors ( eg. Southern railway & southwest railway). These are the main sectors to be said as worst sectors in indian railways.

And also not only in the express trains, Even in SUB_Urban trains in CHENNAI there are shown EGostic type OR SELFISHNESS kind of characteristics among the southern railway and the other Union members ( SMRU etc..). Only there are 4-5 trains are allocated to Beach from route avadi - Villivakam - jeeva - Beach. There are NO beach trains available after 9.20 am till 11.48 am. Based on railway employees shift these trains are operated. But not for Public. people. ITs very much ashamed to say these kind of selfishness among our people are existed. The Best kind of Humanity, Truthfullness in work, Characters kind of people are said to Japanese. They are the only people in world having these kind of well characteristics people. And work is their GOD and they worship whatever they work.

These kind of activities will be existing even for 100s or 1000s of years in our country.

So please be patriotic to nation and to your work and to your country.

I have travelled from Lonavala to Adoni by 16381 Exp. On 14.12.2011 in Sleeper class on PNR No.[protected]. I have boarded at Pune on the ticket from Lonavala to Adoni, duly endorsed on the ticket. At DAUND, TTE, Sri K. Rathode has demanded the ticket for verification. I have produced the ticket along with ID proof of my PAN card Xerox copy, Voter ID Xerox copy and Original Driving License. Even then he has demanded and said that the ID proofs are not valid and threatened me to hand over to RPF. Out of fear, I requested him like anything and subsequently while the train entering SOLAPUR station he has taken Rs. 500/-(Rupees Five Hundred only) and got down from train without issuing any receipt.
I request you to please take necessary action in this regard and show mercy by refunding the amount duly collected from him. That action taken may please be intimated to my address. So that in future I will intimate my friends and family members to wake up in this aspect. Also please intimate the ID proofs to be produced for Tatkal ticket.

IT IS NOT SUFFICIENT FOR ALL PASSENGERS. NORMALLY TO GET ONE TICKET AT ANY TIME PASSENGERS MUST BE WAIT IN QUEUE MORE THAN HALF AN HOUR. This is a serious complaint against a railway employee on reservation counter located in Manduadih, Varanasi. I had gone to book my taktal ticket today from Varanasi to Kanpur and me and my elder sister stood in the queue from 6am in the morning, which broke just after main gate opened. There was no surveillance and proper management to make the line organized and there was a huge line of men standing on women and senior citizen’s counter. My sister went and asked the ticket booking officer if there is any ladies line and officer rudely said that he doesn’t know and when we asked who knows then he not only arrogantly told that we are no one to ask, but also asked to go back to stand in a queue again as he wont book the ticket. My sister and my-self got very puzzled, heights of everything when officer denied booking the ticket to my sister and him any question but he also threatened us that he won’t book our ticket unless we come in the line from behind again. He also asked us to come behind the counter threateningly. We had to literally struggle with him but officer kept arguing showing his tantrums that we are nothing but a beggar. Even all this while, all the inside staff favored him and asked us to go out and used inappropriate language which definitely doesn’t suit the govt. employees. There were only two women on reservation counter today and all the men started shouting and abusing and no action was even taken by the constable who just roamed and laughed at the situation. Somehow we managed to get to the counter again to finally book the ticket. I had to travel from Varanasi to Kanpur which I had also filled in the form properly without a mistake, officer was still taunting at us and gave us the ticket asking more money, we were already traumatized by now and since it was tatkal ticket, we thought ticket cost may have increased but when we got the ticket in hand, we found that officer had booked me from Varanasi to Delhi. I told him that he has booked me wrong but he didn’t listen and asked us to move away. My sister insisted to correct the mistake, for which he replied that its now waiting and asked us to stand in the queue again from behind. We were completely frustrated by now and left with the ticket, which officer forced on me revengefully, it didn’t only cost me double but killed the chance of someone who must be in need to travel from Kanpur to Delhi.

I want to raise an alarm that how can a govt employee treat with common people insensitively like this, especially when they are responsible for such important things. The whole system has not only become corrupt but also dogmatic. People who sit behind the counters are not only incompetent but also less educated to even speak to people nicely and answer them properly. Being a citizen, I want strict action to be taken against such officers, as well as I would request authorities to make proper guidelines at reservation counters which can be followed by general public strictly in the common interest of the masses. Making a constable stand like a puppet doesn’t help anyone. Please do the needful as this is the story of most of the urban and semi-urban reservation counters. Hope it will help railway to become better for people, for which it is made.

Dear Sir,

This is in reference to the above subject and to bring to your kind attention that the above train was cancelled on Indian Railways behalf and I, Subrata Pal along with my other two co-passengers Mr. Bhupesh Sharma and Dr. Ajay Kumar was literally embarrassed because we had to attend a very important official meeting in Delhi on the very next day in our office. But we could not attend the meeting due the train cancellation and we suffered a huge loss for that.
What added more pain to it that when enquired to IRCTC about the refund on 13.03.2011, I came to know that refund could not be given because ticket had to be cancelled within 72 hours of the scheduled departure time and failing to do so TDR had to be filed within 30 days.
Being a normal passenger
• it is not possible for everyone to have all the information and a person is in the idea that as the train has been cancelled by Indian Railways, it is the moral responsibility of the Indian Railways or its ticket booking agent ( in this case IRCTC) to refund the fare.
• it is not possible for everyone to have all the information of cancelling a ticket while a train is being cancelled. He or she normally remains in the anxiety in searching the alternative option of coming or going back to their respective places.
• carry a laptop or mobile internet with them to cancel the ticket instantly
• if he or she is in official tour of 7-15 days and not possible to reach home within 72 hours
• As IRCTC send sms alerts to every customer when a ticket is booked. Similarly it is the moral responsibility of Indian Railways or its ticket booking agent ( in this case IRCTC) to inform each and every customer about the cancellation/refund/TDR processes.
• When a passenger is unable to travel, it is his responsibility to cancel the ticket on his own.
Now at this juncture, when contacted IRCTC customer care, they are either not showing any intention to resolve the matter or arranging to refund the fare.

I would like to bring to your notice about the incident that my parents
and other people had to face while traveling in Garib Rath Kochuveli
Express Train No: 12202 on the 25th June 2012.

There was a big problem with the hygienic condition on bogey no: 03 & 12,
as per the information given by the TC both the bogey was replaced in
Chennai.

The problem the people faced in both the coaches was of "BED BUGS", people
including my parents could not sit or sleep for a second because of it. A
small child was bitten so badly that she got rashes all over her body.

The toilets were not at all clean and were stinking. If this is the
condition people would think 10 times before making any reservations.

Would request you to kindly look into this mater and oblige.

Tiruvannamalai, in Tamil Nadu, is one of the most sacred pilgrim centers of India for Siva worshipers.
Millions go there, every day, on pilgrimage.But there are no trains to it from Chennai and other important places.My suggestion is, please start trains immediately, at least from Chennai?

    Why r u not raising a voice aginast a black market, which occuring for the Railway tickets, mostly at Mumbai Central for the busiest route of the nation. This black market which occurs with collobration of Railway officers, raises many difficulty for the normal public. Hope u would raise a vocie for this social issue.

    it is not possible to eradicate black marketing of tickets in Mumbai central because the majority of public try to book tickets for a same train at a time and hence the black marketers got easy chance for their income.

    am from Tamil nadu chennai, going to tell about agents booking the maximum tickets,and they are selling double th amount on the festival times. we are the publics we use to go to south side up to(madurai) on festival timings, we cant able to get the ticket frecuntly! when the starting day all the tickets booked with in 15mis, why u cant control this! railway deportment for publics or agents?

    The tatkal scheme has been the main area where the black market targets. The ticket reservation starts at 8:00am. Even if a queue is maintained at railway station the agents manges to club up in between the queues. By the time RPF(railway police force) reaches they would come first in the lines. All the first that reaches at the counter are of the agent people and sometimes they submit around 3 to four forms at a go. At each counter there would be around 4 people of agents. that would mulitply to 4(people) x 10(counters) x 3(forms)=120 forms submition. bytthe time it reaches the public, the tatkal seats would have been filled. The number is just for one station. Recently i had complained to the railway master. But i don't feel it is going to help.
    I AM RESIDENT OF INDORE. HERE PUBLIC CAN NEITHER BOOK TATKAL TICKET THRO NET NOR THRO RAILWAY WINDOW. IRCTC WEBSITE NEVER WORK PROPERLY IN THE MORNING SESSION.AND WINDOWS ARE ALWAYS FILLED WITH BROKERS.

    ONE OF THE BROKER AT 564 M G ROAD, INDORE IS FLUENTELY AND OPENLY ARRANGING CONFIRM TATKAL TICKETS EITHER FROM KHANDWA OR INDORE DUE TO SETTING WITH HIGHER AUTHORITY OF DEPARTMENT AND CHARGING MORE THAT THOUSAND RUPEES PER TICKET AS EXTRA SAID TO BE PAYABLE TO THE AUTHORITY.

    MY REQUEST IS TO CLUTCH SUCH TYPE OF BROKERS AND YOUR STAFF INVOLVED IN THIS FRAUDULENT PRACTICE. DEPARTMENT NEED TO EXAMINE THE ACTIVITIES OF BOTH THE GUILTY AND ARREST THEM WITHOUT DISCLOSING THE COMPLAINT.

    BUT HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN, WHEN THE ENTIRE WELL FILLED WITH "BHANG". I DON'T EXPECT BUT STILL THERE IS HOPE, SOME PEOPLE REALLY FEEL THE PROBLEM OF GENERAL PUBLIC.

      reservation clerk ne aapko jabadasti ticket to diya nahi hai, aapne khud hi liya hai.

      By the way, I am sure that you will never be confirmed bearth in your bodhigaya express from NEW DELHI to SASARAM. Yaad rakhiye ki kabhi bhi AC3 tier ya AC2 tier mein WL-5 ya us se upar ka number confirm nahi hoga (aur woh bhi is CHAAT ke season mein to bilkul bhi nahi).
      So, dear friend forget about your confirmed bearth in your journey and try for alternative solution :))

        my name is swanand IRCTC says all the biscuts chocolates and paked itmes should be sold on printed MRP rates. but the IRCTC food stall at solapur station charges more than MRP rates. this is not a good sign of business and all the railway working staff is courppted even the catering inspector Mr Kamthan asked for bribe of Rs 3,000/- per month from a Canteen owener at gulbarga station. The station supritendent of gulbarga railway station makes sure that most of the tarins are blocked on platform 2 and 3 when platform No 1 is emepty where the passenger cant get anything. when requested him to block trains on platform 1 he asked for bribe of 2000 rs. so please have a look in this matter.
        Dear Sir,

        I went to Kirti Nagar, New Delhi Railway Reservation Counter on dated 9.02.2008 & 10.02.2008 for ticket booking for Train No. 2555, Gorakhdham Express from Gorakhpur Jn. to New Delhi jn. for the journy date 20.02.2008 and for Train No. 2556, Gorakhdham Express from New Delhi to Gorakhpur Jn. for the journy date 14.02.2008.

        Before going to reservation I have verified the availability of Seats on the Internet, I have found that 79 Seats are available. But the reservation clerk forbidden to give me the ticket and told me there is no ticket in the date of 20.02.2008 and he also told me that waitting tickets are also not available in this date. He has given me only waiting ticket from one side New Delhi to Gonda Jn. for the journy date 14.02.2008.

        I think this is the most currepted behaviour by the Indian Railway's Employees and management.

        You are kindly requested to search the booking clerk and do the needful action against him/her.

        Hope for your neccessary action against this type of curruptions in the Railways.

        Indian Railways — corrupt officials

        At palanpur railway junction (banaskantha, gujarat) the ticket booking counter has corrupt officials..they book the tickets of agents but refuse to book the tickets of simple person.they will mishandle them but will take form of agents from behind the counter.

          I was Traveling in Train No. 2716 Sachkhand Express on dated 03.11.2007.
          From Phagwara to New Delhi With a general ticket no.56407419.
          At Rajpura station one sarclar T.T.E comes to S5 Bogie (where I was travling)
          and asked me that with general ticket, you can’t travel in sleeper class. I agreed his wording and replied that o.k. am shifting to general bogie. but he told too pay me Rs/-100 as this thing when I refused to pay this thing he called his 3 colleagues from rajpura junction who were immediately started expelling me towards doors. After that they all have started beaten me foolishly. and in presence of all passengers they were given me many kinds of threats. after that they taken me in penetary car bogie and there they further started beating till ambala station comes.and in that bogie they have created so much pressure to given sorry in written from my side and they were succeeded in this respect. during that phase they have seen my pocket and my official files(which were with me)and by getting Rs/-320 as extra fare with receipt no.907948.when I reached Delhi Railway station I immidialy given my complaint to deputy S.S Commercial’s office and told the entire issue to him.
          In net shell I have suffered pains which perhaps I can’t tell you in words, so kindly for god sake give me justice and take necessarily actions against them. Hope fully you will take some action.

            I booked a ticket from Delhi to Dound by train number 12628 Karnataka express, travel date as 22 Dec 12, and PNR is[protected]. However it was not confirmed and stopped at WL 8,9,10,11. I got this info when I reached New Delhi station at 8:00 pm, and I checked with TT on station and he suggested taking general ticket and checking with TT on train whether any seats are available help with accommodation. When I checked with TT on train but was not traceable at the time of train departure, hence we sat in general compartment (with two female member, two kids and luggage). I noticed that, it was not at all possible to travel further in General compartment, I got hold of TT at Bhopal and got a receipt to travel in Sleeper class without confirmed ticket and I moved my family to sleeper coach and travelled sitting at various seats whichever is vacant. During getting ticket at Bhopal I asked TT/TC about the refund for this non confirmed 3AC ticket and he confirmed that, full amount will be refunded and can be done at Pune.
            I checked at Dound after getting down at 9pm on 23 Dec 12, at Ticket reservation counter ticket issuing officer told me that cancellation counter is closed now, come at 10 pm tomorrow i.e. 24 Dec 12. As I am residing at Pune I checked at Pune station and Mr. Tiwari at first floor of internet ticketing counter, told that “this ticket cannot be refunded here you have to contact Delhi station for this”.
            I don’t know what is the procedure to get refund for this ticket? When I checked online I found that tickets can be cancelled at any station. Ultimately I spent around INR 8500/- (5570+936+2000) to travel to Dound that too sitting in general compartment and sleeper coach. This is not at all justifiable.
            Hope you understand the situation and expect that you will help me getting this refund asap.

              Dear sir, I want to inform you that on 21st Oct 07, we travelled by the Janshatabdi from dadar to thivim. but the catering in this particular train on that day was really really terrible. the food was unpalatable as it was not tasting good. the veg fried rice was just boiled fat fat rice with some miniscule pieces of veg in it and it tasted bad. The waiter were wearing yellow T shirts and were very very lethargic. Infact when we came back by the madovi express on 1st nov from thivin to dadar the food was delicious. even k0nkankanya has some good caterers and good food. so please please sir kindly look into this matter and check for your self as i feel they are only cheating public but charging too much for this lunch even their seera upma was bad. not like the others. i hope you will look into this as the next time we travel we can have some good food thank you very much.

              I the undresigned Vinay Sukla is working as a manager in a pvt firm as Executive Marketing & I am a regular traveller in train to various destinations on official tour. on 07/11/2007 I had been to your Banashankari Reservation office around 2.45 p.m and was waiting in the line to get my turn to book tickets. I noticed there was an argument between the counter clerk lady who was sitting in the counter No. 1 and the passenger (who was aged around 22-25 years old Boy) and the passenger seems to have used some bad word (if I am not mistaken) for whiich that lady had come out of the counter and hit him with her slippers. even when I tried to convince her along with the other passengers who had come to book their ticketsshe was not convinced and dragged that boy inside the cabin and tore his shirt and tickets too. even after this scene she refused to give him a duplicate ticket. I would like to bring to your notice that in my so many visit to the Banashankari Reservation office i found the same lady is very arragent with even senior citizens also many times i skip my turn if i happened to go to her counter. after seeing this in the reservation office i didnot book my ticket and had to go to my destination by air. after my return i tried to lodge this complaint one of my friend gave me a mobile number [protected] which happend to be a vigilence officer Mr. B.N Dattatreya he said we have to contact only Divisional Railway Manager for these kind of complaints and he is taking care of complaints only in the case of curruption and he gave me Divisional railway Manager's No. which is [protected]. I have been trying to get in touch with that number nobody is lifting the phone. I am writing this letter as a comlaint on the lady who was working on couner No 1 on that day on be-half of the entire public to take action against that lady to avoid such shameful activities in the public place in which elderly persons are respected and also to get a good disipline with public servents.

              I was traveling from Lucknow to Howrah by upasana express sleeper class with my family that is myself and my wife and my daughter on 11.11.2007.
              The ticket was booked on 28.9.2007.
              I narrate below the horror and horrible journey detail.

              1. The train reached late Lucknow by half an hour and when we reached near our seat with great difficulty coach no. S 6 berth nos. 21,22, and 24. We find it was occupied by the unreserved passengers who did not care to give the seat to us despite our confirmed tickets.
              2. The train waited for 10 minutes at Lucknow and left . No TTE was visible.
              3. There were about 200 approx unreserved passengers in the coach and you can understand our position that how the journey was undertaken with no seat despite having confirmed tickets. I had to travel till Varanasi in a standing position with my family. It was a 5 hours journey . It was night time . My wife was not keeping well and my daughter got a nervous break down. At the same time , we had worries that how safe is our luggage which was dumped.
              4. Like me there were several other passengers who had confirmed tickets but occupied by the miscreants who did not have any tickets at all.
              5. The railway failed to provide me the reserved seat booked about one and a half month back.
              6. The railway failed to provide reasonable safety to me , my family, and my luggage.
              7. The toilets were soiled and broken . The luggage was inside the toilets also kept by unreserved passengers and there was no toilet available which can be used by the passengers.
              8. The railway failed to provide basic amenities like clean toilets , water etc.
              9. there was no RPF men , no TTE throughout the journey
              10. Somehow at Varanasi , we could get sitting place but no place to sleep because still our berths were occupied by the unauthorized passengers.
              11. The train reached madhupur late by 1.30 hours at 12 noon [scheduled time 1030 hours ] and halted there. One hours passed , two hours passed but the train did not start. There was no announcement .
              12. As stated earlier due to this trauma , my wife health deteriorated further. Still there was no TTE . It was 4 p m that is train halted for 4 hours at madhupur without any information. I took a risk and went to the main platform to ask the reason . There was no response from enquiry . The person directed to station master who was not on seat. The deputy station master stated that he can not say when the train will start , despite halt of 4 hours . He told that there is Bengal bandh problem . The train may leave even after 12 hours. When we asked why there is no announcement for this . He stated that it is not his job.
              13. As my wife was not keeping well , I decided to break journey as I can not wait in the train for an indefinite period.
              14. I requested to permit break journey as the condition of my wife was not well , the Dy stationmaster who directed to enquiry who again directed to Dy station master but he did not permit for break journey as it is not in the rule.
              15. But halting the passengers who paid due fare without his fault is not the railway problem.
              16. Then I asked to refund the difference fare at least . this also out dy station master and ticket babu refused that it is not in rule as the train is not cancelled [ even though it delays for 12 hours , the customer is at railway mercy he has to be caged in the railways]
              17. The name of person to whom I talked at madhupur , Mr. Ranjan TTE of madhupur station. Station master not on seat , Dy station master did not tell his name [ may be not in the rules of railways], s k shyamal Bose ticket clerk.
              18. I enclose the photocopy of ticket you will find no endorsement of any TTE
              19. I enclose letter written to madhupur station master for refund who stated refund is not possible. The complain book was also not available at dy station master.
              20. in view of the difficulties stated as above faced by me , I seek following remedies:
              a. Rs 50,000/- as compensation for mental agony , harassment faced by me , my wife and my daughter .
              b. Refund of fare Rs 1137.00 in full as railway did not provide me berth despite reservation.
              21. I seek your immediate reply failing which , I may be constrained to take steps with Ombudsman / under consumer forum.

              I also like to know about the steps taken against the delinquent employees who failed to perform their duties.
              The complaint/ claim is sent by e mail followed by hard copy and documentary proof

              I am residing at Ekambarakuppam village - Nagari Mandalam - AP. which is onthe way from chennai to tirupathi, next to tiruttani station. Our village has well developed in last 10 yrs b'coz of railway department hence Most of the trains stopping are there like SAPTHAGIRI EXPRESS, GARUDARI EXPRESS, TIRUPATHI FAST PASSENGER, KACHIKUDA EXPRESS AND ETC... and our people use the above trains to reach chennai within 2 hours travelling for hospitalisation, for business and for education. But last 10 yrs our People are suffereing very much because there is no platform ( which under half constraction nearly 5yrs, still it is not yet completed).
              Hope the honorable ministry & honorable concern department officers will take the favourable and necessary steps immediately.

She was not having that much amount with her she requested and told frequently that she is having valid passes still my daughter was abused like third class mentality. she was crying, requesting to her as she was not at faultand she wanted to go by Dadar Nagpur train. Still your Sr. T.C. Mrs. Mhatre detained her unlawfully and mentally harassed her and gave her wild treatment. your other staff members also supported Mrs.Mhatre and tortured her illegally for which they can be prosecuted for is use and abuse of power. when she contacted me over phone I could here the conversation going on with them and crying and convincing talk of my daughter. Your staff refused to talk to me over phone and threatened her to send to custody and snatched her hand. This type of behavior is very illegal and shame full.

              Latter on your staff realized the mistake asked her to pay Rs. 50/- for no-fault. when she asked for receipt your staff gave receipt for false charge of excess luggage in fact there was no luggage with my daughter.

              This type of behaviour is illegal and liable to be prosecuted under criminal law. Before taking any legal action against railway and concerned staff if written apology is received from your staff within 15 days from receipt of this notice not received legal action will be initiated accordingly.

              Have had a bitter experiance today morning at the Chennai Central Railway Station & wanted to convey the same to the authority. We (Myself & My wife Archita) were at the station today morning to see off our parents, and a bit late to accommodate them to board in Coromondal Express scheduled at 8:45 a.m. to depart.               I Sannkalp Kapoor booked 2 ticket from IRCTC on Monday, December 1, 2008 for[protected] journey from Kanpur (CNB) to New Delhi (NDLS) via PNR No: - [protected] Train no: - 4005 (LICHCHAVI EXP).

              On[protected] train was late by 8 hours so i cancelled the ticket and filled TDR for that but since then i haven't received any refund in against of this. When i look in to IRCTC it says "Refund is under process" and now it's more than 120 days and no action has been taken. Whenever i send mail to [protected]@irctc.co.in ; [protected]@irctc.co.in & [protected]@irctc.co.in nobody care about responding me back and suddenly i receive a mail after a month stating that we are refilling your application for refund.

              i travelled today with parents via train no.12131 from Dadar to kopargaon with pnr no.[protected]. Train departed kopargaon at 30min earlier to its schedule time 3:30. i could not board at my destination.                 Internet booking

                If the railways cannot operate a web site then theyshould look at outsourcing the same to a private operator.

                The situation is so pathetic... For the last 3 and a half hours I have been trying to book a ticket and just when you have completed all the details they say service not available and the page goes blank

                Also when one books on an I ticket these guys just take you for a ride ( especially on wait listed...

                Non refund money of e-ticket

                Due to wrong information provided by inquiry counter about the departure platform for the train no: 403 A on 12 th of August we have missed the train. We were told that train will depart from platform number 10 and it departed from no: 11. Display board on platform no: 10 displayed train no: 403 A even after an hour of departure of train from the train from platform no:11.

                Inadequate security provided in Train

                Was traveling in Tata Nagar- Yeshwantpur train from Jamshedpur to Bangalore on 5-Oct-2007 and lost our luggage. Due to inadequate of TTE and security personnel, I lost my valuables and luggage between 11 PM and 3 AM in the morning. From 3AM in the morning we tried to lodge a complaint to the TTE, but in vain.                 Dirty bedding

                I have been travelling regularly by Dehra Dun AC special - leaving from NZM to Dehra Dun at 11 PM. Dirty bedding is being regularly provided on this train and no action is being taken. On complaints - TT clains that it is private suppliers and on asking for complaint book it is said that it will be provided later. Kindly look into this problem and arrange for a clean bedding....

                Booked 2nd class sleeper class ticket (PNR[protected] well in advance i.e on 14th par 2007 for 25th may journey. Waiting list no 47. today is 16th may 2007. And waiting list shows 37. Could you please educate me on what basis this waiting list prepared/cleared or quotas alloted first excluding common/general public.

                Its really creates lot of doubts of malpractices by railway dept. As per my experience, when person travel by waiting list ticket, he has been treated very badly in the coach by TC as well as by Confirmed seat passengers.

                I venture to bring to your kind notice that i with my family members were going to Delhi From Abohar by 3008 [UATE] On[protected]. Our Coach No. Was-AS-2 and Our Bearth No. Was 1,2,3,4. Our P.N.R No. Was[protected]. The Condition Of the Coach was Worst. Earlier We Didn't Face any Problem But Later We shocked to SAW That there was Numerous Of COCKROACHES And INSECTS around us. Secondly the Bedsheets Which Were given by the Coach attendant were Wet. The coach was also in very Dirty condition, celling and woodwork of the coach was also not perfect. One of my family member was at the problem of BACKBONE. He Was totally restless because of the coach condition. The whole night we took care of him only. We Didn't sleep even. We felt mentally harassment. It was looking like a 3rd Class coach. First Time i was travel by this train and specially i booked the AC coach for my Convenience.What is the use of this. I think this is the wastage of money. It was better for us to travel by Road transportation. Will u take strict action against the liable authority or i have to do it. IN FUTURE ALSO WILL THE COMMON MAN FACE SAME MENTALLY HARASSMENT.

                Sorry to be rude... but sometimes it hurts that with all brouhaha about India growing and Indian rail improving... the ground reality is totally opposite...
                I have booked 3RD AC waiting list tickets from Banglore to Hyderabad on 10.06.07 by Kacheguda Express with PNR number[protected]. The status after chart preparation is RAC & WL1, so Mrs. Rama devi who is supposed to travel canceled her journey by seeing the status. I requested TTE many times to give endorsement for cancellation but he dint, I came to know only 25% of amount will returned on travel less ticket. Pl do the needful.

                Hi,

                I am an engineer working with GE-countrywide here in delhi. This is regarding my train journey from delhi to rudrapur on 29 may 2007, by the sampark kranti exp between delhi and kathgodam.

                The train is a chair car, and i purchased a ticket for ordinary chair car and boarded the train, however as it was very hot i thought of checking if i could get an upgrade to a AC chair car by paying the difference in the amount subjected to the availability of seats in the AC coach.
                so i went to the AC coach and spoke to the TTE, who asked me to wait for 15 mins while he is done with checking the tickets.

                So i stood outside the AC coach... near the toilets... and the train by now started moving, now another person... who i guess was not a TTE, but a pantry superintending supposedly, asked me why was i standing there... So i told him the reason... he called another TTE who asked me Rs 500 for a seat... I agreed... but he said he would not give me any kind of a receipt for the same... i asked him... Why not... he said... he will allot me his own seat and cannot give a receipt of the same... I then asked him... what if the checking squad comes in.. he said.. he'll manage that.... i however wanted a receipt for the price that i paid him... to which he did not agree... And asked me to get out of the place... i said the TTE has asked me to wait and he'll find out if there is any vacancy... the person than told me there is no vacancy and he himself is a TTE...

                The entire passage between the coaches was blocked with the stuff from the pantry and no space to move out... i asked the TTE to ask the pantry guy to remove the stuff and clear the way... the pantry owner and the person than said its all from the pantry and cannot be moved. They started abusing me... and said... why did i board the AC coach... and that they would impose a fine on me... the language these people used was not at all...
                parliamentary... Then I asked them their names... and said i shall complaint about them... I also took some pictures of the blocked passage, through my cellphone... Then they snacked my phones and started pushing me out...The other TTE meanwhile came from the coach... and i complaint about these guys asking me money... TTE then got the passage cleared and asked me to sit in the ordinary class... which i did...

                I however wanted to complain about these corrupt people... so at Rampur (one stop before RUDRAPUR where i had to get down)... I went to the actual TTE and asked him the names of the two people... The TTE asked me to forget about it and said "galti ho gaeee sir unse, ab jaane bhi do" i said i will not let it go... And shall definitely complain.. about them... i asked his name as well... He neither told me the name of the 2 people nor his name... instead threaned me... That they can get me arrested if i asked their names... i said i have not committed any crime... and i will definitely complain about them... as i was about to get down at my station (RUDRAPUR) 2 police cobtables... came to me and said... you are confined shall be handed over to RPF at the station... i said that is OK... i am not afraid... as i have done no crime... by asking their names... The RPF took me into their custody at the Rudrapur station. When i asked them my fault they said... they have been told that i was interfering in the government work.

                I then asked them to call the TTE and bring them before me... and tell me how exactly was i interfering... except for asking their names... When the RPF personnel asked the TTE about it... they had no answer... all they said i was creating a disturbance... how exactly... they had no answer...

                The RPF personnel... then asked them... when did i create a disturbance... they said when the train started from delhi... The RPF then asked them... If it was at delhi why did they not inform them at that point... and why did they have to wait for 5 hours before informing RPF...

                Bottom line: They complaint to RPF only when i asked their names... at RAMPUR... the RPF did not find the TTE convincing and allowed me to go home... I wanted to complain about them at the rudrapur railway station, however was told that it cannot be done... They even did not have the names of the TTE... and i shall have to complaint either at delhi or at Kathgodam.

                ALL THIS TIME NOBODY TOLD ME THE NAMES OF THE 3 PEOPLE INCLUDING THE TTE...

                I have however taken the pictures of the blocked pantry and the 2 people... in my phone... i can send those...

                As one of the pantry boy informed me... The name of the 2 people were:
                Mr SHARVAN, and MR RAMNIVAS (i am not sure if the names are correct though)

                I am an educated person and understand its my duty to point out the wrong and question it... It was very easy got me to pay them Rs 500 as others did and sit comfortably in the AC. i am bringing this to you so that a strict action can be taken on these people... So that... we do not have to see the wrong examples everywhere. And so that the TTE's can stop filling their pockets out of the public money!

                1. Can a TTE ask for money for allotting a seat, without any receipt.
                1. THE TTE's should be asked why should they not reveal their identity. if its as simple as their names... also they did not wear any nameplates .
                2. Are the TTE's supposed to misbehave with a passenger and get him arrested for no reason... if they had a reason, why was i released by the RPF.
                3. TTEs should be asked what exactly did i do that was termed as interfaring with the government work "sarkaari kaam me baadha" !!
                4. If i interfered with the govt work... why did they not inform the RPF then and did that only when the train reached Rampur... that was when i told them that i was going to complain about them and asked their names...
                5. Aren't TTE's supposed to check the tickets of the entire train...the TTEs actually never came out of the AC coach.. and when i went there to see if a seat was available... they said i was not allowed in the AC coach... how then do u talk to TTE???

                IMPORTANT: WITH ALL THIS DRAMA... MY TICKET WAS NEVER CHECKED THROUGHOUT THE JOURNEY !!

                We beg to inform you that inspite of three letters given to you regarding the construction work adjacent to railway land within 30.0 meters without obtaining railway N.O.C from railway authority.
                On 2nd October 2007 the private builders came to do the construction work on plot numbers B/12/2 to B/12/6 near the seawood’s darave railway station (EAST). The persons from SADGURU, OMKAR, SEAWOOD and TRIVENI SAGAR HSG SOC asked the builders to show the railway N.O.C but the builders replied that letters of railway authority have been filed only by the CIDCO (city and industrial development corporation) and NMMC(Navi Mumbai Municipal corporation) and nothing will be done in practical.
                We are hereby request you that quick practical action should be taken by the railway authorities otherwise we shall highlighted the matter through media.

                i want to know why from darbhanga(dbg) to sakri(bihar) there is only one train in day time. when there is need of 3-4 trains. i heard private transport company has paid railway authority to not provide too many trains from darbhanga to sakri, so that they can make more money...please try to verify why it has done so... each & every person has this question. i am waiting for reply
                i was trvelling in a special nagerkoil train, my destination is ariyalur, we does not know that train will not stop at my place, so we traveled till the next station trichy.tell me how much wee should be fined.is that sure we should be fined for it or it is enough to pay the difference amount.
                why not u have a seperate counter at ur stations where fines can be paid, so that we can avoid cheeting of people with duplicate bills.

                i am running a regd. consumer welfare organization consumer welfare mission in madhya pradesh.
                shivpuri is a district that rail department given the facility a ticket reservation counter. only the person who sitting on the window having very rough and poor behavior with public we have received so many complaint about him. Public is very aggrieved and and getting harassment continuously
                he never return change 2 to 4 Rs to consumer he always said if you have change pay me otherwise left me.
                he always quarrel person never inform the vacant seat position.

                Indian Railway — Malpractices and corruption

                This is for your kind information that I have witnessed open malpractices by TTE staff in the train no. 3164 running from Saharsha to sealdah. On 07.06.09 I was suffering from Maheshkhunt to Sealdah Jn in that train. After boarding the train at Maheshkhunt, I observed that Sleeper class was almost vacant according to reservation chart but there were no avability of seat for reserved seat passenger. I any how managed to sit on my own reserved seat. I didn't bother that, but what I saw was surprising. TTE were collecting Rs.10 to every passenger except reserved passenger without giving them any receipt. Upto Katihar this malpractices were at its boom. Passengers were happy after giving only Rs. 10/- and TTE were enjoying it with great pompous.

                In this regard I want to know the reason behind this malpractices and corruption . I felt that Indian railway is loosing a lots of revenue by this. TTE and other supervisory staff are getting much benefited but passenger are bound to sustain inconvenience.

                I have the honour to inform you that while traveling with my 3 nos of family members bu 2424 Rajdhani express from new Delhi to New Coochbehar your staff Supplied only 4 nos of drinking water bottles worth Rs 15.00 / bottle in market during our journey from 2.20 PM of 30/09/09 to 2-30 PM of 1st Oct/2009 . That sir My reservation was upto Dibgrugarh instead of New coochbehar and that was under TATKAL CLASS IN AS-3 TIRE. Bearing ticket no 71239690 PNR NO:[protected].
                I even tried to purchase water bottle from your staff by cash but your staff did not respond even denied to supply water bottle for which other passengers also tried to get water bottle.

                I, therefore request you kindly to take necessary immediate action to avoid future harassment for the valuable customers of your department. I also request you if possible kindly to increase the ticket value including cost of sufficient drinking water bottle so as to make passengers to keep themselves in dark in respect of corruption in your department .

                Daily I travel from Chamrajnagar to Mysore passenger train. Due to small ladies compartment all the women who travel from Chamrajnagar, nanjangud...etc are suffering lot because there is no place even to stand. Its so small compartment only 20-25 women can sit or stand in that compartment. Daily quarrels are going on due to this problem.
                We request you to kindly make a big ladies compartment to us & its our humble request.
                Its a small complaint for you but we travel daily and suffering lot.
