Sub: Request for ensuring honorable behaviour towards the passanger and TTE ASKING FOR THE MONEY TO CONFURM THE TICKET

Respected Madam,
I ASHIS Kumar DAS from KOLKATA like to write this letter to you requesting for ensuring a honorable and graceful behaviour towards the railway passenger. Indian railway is the largest railway system around the world and it have its glorified histroy. People expect a good service and a honorable behaviour from the railway authority and the staffs. But unfortunately this expectation badly hurt sometimes ( very often !!! ) by the dishonorable and shameless behaviour of the staffs of railway daepartment.In this context i would like to say that the behaviour of TTE in YESHWANT PURA like train is very different to other train's TTE.The TTE in YASHWANTPURA are very RUDE and NONcooperative and tried to make money using unfair means.MY PNR NO WAS [protected] AND THE TRAIN NO WAS 12864 MYWAITING LST WAS 6&7 BUT THE OTHER PEOPLE WHOSE WAITING LIST NO WAS MORE THEN OURS HOW DO THEY GOT THE TICKET CONFURMED
I therefore request you to take examplenary action towards these behaviours and acts, as these kinds of acts should not be happened in the future.

    Dear sir,

    i use to travel between warangal to secunderabad regularly, atleast twice in a week.
    but actually the train timings of some particular trains are running late on a regular basis for example the train like Krishna express(17405), the actual arrival time for this in warangal is 16.57 and it should reach secunderabad at 20.50 where the journey time comes to 3h 53 mns, this train will be late atleast 20-25 minutes everyday.

    in fact the passenger train journey times are :-

    warangal-hyderabad passenger 3h 35 mns and
    kakatiya fast passenger is 3h 40 mns

    but for this Krishna Express is 3h 53 mns

    please take action,

    so that either Railways speed up the train / make it as passenger

      Recently I had to travel to coimbatore and back by Duronto express. The train was a refurbished old Shatabdi train discarded by Northern Railways. (just the vinyl sheet of duronto was pasted on the old coaches). The Airconditioner was not working properly. The seats were not comfortable. The pushbacks were not working, the cushions were not good.

      After that the food they serve was so horrible, The IRCTC should change the contract immediately. They should change the menu to South Indian from the horrible dal, curry and roti.

        Sir,
        I was taken a ticket of Rajdhani Exp bearing PNR no[protected] from Dibrugarh to Katihar. My journey dare was-24/05/11. Afrer preparation of chart my ticket was still waiting (WL/10) in status. I went to Tinsukia Stn (near by) for cancellation of that ticket but Railway clerk at counter at first told the ticket should be cancelled from Dibrugarh stn. only, then he agreed to cancel the ticket cutting 50% charge of the waiting list ticket.The very next day in morning I send my representative to Dibrugarh stn but Railway booking clerk told the ticket should be cancelled from Maligaon Railway division only. They pushed my rep counter to counter and after hues harassment agreed to give 1000.00 Rs.From railway counter refund of 1000.00 Rs has been made but no cancellation ticket has been issued also the original ticket was kept with them.
        In such circumstances my earnest request to the Railway authority please let me know the actual cancellation charges & the procedure of cancellation and please investigate in this matter and do the needful.

          Railway minister,
          I could see many of the trains in southern railway zone as no Dust bins in Sleeper class coach and only few trains have dust bins ,that too many of them doesn't know that even in Sleeper class coach has dust bins like AC coaches below wash basin.

          Please make aware of dust bins in SL and also provide necessary boards indicating not throw any waste outside coach through windows especially food wastes.Make environment green and India Green.

              I am Shahab Khan From Mauranipur Dist Jhansi Up India I am a citizen of India and our family belong to Mauranipur Dist Jhansi our Rly Station Is Mauranipur (Mrpr). IN a few days The Rly Reservation of Tatkal Quota not booked properly for general customers due to havy black marketing of ticket. Mr Sachin Sharma are placed on the reservation counter he have approx 5-6 from already bring up from Jhansi and booked them first after it Tatkal Quota is fulled so the general customers bother. And his behave for customers not well please give the training of proper Beauvoir.

              Sir Kindly given the instruction of Station Head Master and Reservation Head Clerk for repair these things I will obliged you.

              I have seen blackmarketing of railway tickets in new Delhi railway station and outside of reservation centre where touts openly asking passenger for tickets which cost is rs 100 to double of actual fare. Interestingly they have a contact with a rpf, grpf, ticket booking clerk and other railway staff. They are daily present in same place and frequently used railway campus for their goal. No one try to investigate or stop or complaint to their senior about all this matter. Their office is near by station at both entrance gate. I think there is someone who will be executive officer of railway and police involved in all this matter. Or any political party leader may be involved. Therefore lower designation staff of rpf, grpf, and railway employee ignore them. Actually they all knew that who are touts or agent and from where all this blackmarketing of ticket is taking place.

                Hello,

                Basically am from Bidar and am studying Diploma in one of the reputed college in bangalore. This is the case everytime i get a railway concession form duly signed by my coleege authorities (Without any problems). But the problem is, i should GO to only SBC majestic and stand in Long Que (almost more than 30 mins) when my turn comes the ticket issuing authority will give silly comments like date is not written properly (eventhough it is visible with normal eyes) OR seal is not proper etc etc. Eventhough i go back to college and get the things as the issuer asked, still whole process needs to be repeated (like go to SBC, stand in QUE) AND even after that you get few more comments.
                At the end i have to book a proper ticket by paying full price.

                My complaint is either close this process of issuing Concession tickets OR make the process which is much more feasible so that there wont be harrasement on the name of giving concession rate Ticket.

                Its been 3 years the same thing happening to ME. Please Help the Students NOT trouble them whatso ever.

                  Subject: Complaint against RPF personnel, TC, Bail provider in seladah station for not providing receipt against Fine (because I guilt to boarded on mahila special train with ticket)

                  Respected Sir/Madam (Whom it may concern)

                  I am very disappointed to inform you that today I was travelling from Jadavpur to Sealdah at 10:10 am with proper ticket, when I reached to Sealdah then some TC and RPF personnel misbehaved and humiliated me and informed me this is a ladies Special Train (Matribhumi) and then charged rupees 550.00 as a fine but not provided proper receipt against it . Actually Sir I have no information about this train earlier and I got no any announcement given by Jadavpur station about train that it's a ladies special train. actually sir, I am very hurry to catch my train and there were lots of male passengers boarding on that train. Sir, I was not getting proper information written on train that it's a ladies special. I know it's my fault to boarded on train without getting proper information about it. I have given proper fine against my guilt but was not getting fine receipt. When I wish to get receipt then they misbehaved and said go away otherwise I locked you inside the jail. I was very mentally torchered by them.

                  Sir, For your kind information, I convey you that in which rule of railway receipt not provided against fine? Sir, because I was guilt and I paid fine but it's my right to get proper receipt. I want to suggest railway to give proper announcement about train and must to write about it's specialty on body of Coaches (train bogie). Because most of the indian people not know more information about railway rules so, It's a duty of Railways that must to convey proper information to their passenger and proper announcement for types of train. Railways has no right to humiliate and em-brassed the common Indian people who is ignorant about it.

                  I have no information about all the RPF personnel and TC but I know one among them. I am going to give his details below:

                  Ladies Special — Fine

                  Fine for male passengers in vendor of ladies special should gbe closed otherwise there should be no ladies compartment in any trains......if this will not stop there will be a dangeorous for railway adminstrators
                  Hello!
                  I am, Sandip More, a senior research fellow in Calcutta University, West Bengal. I strongly condemn the fact written about railway fault. In India, everyday everywhere these nagging acts are performed by govt. authorities and this should be immediately stopped. These fraud people should be punished. Our govt. is doing nothing but giving big hope to common people. A student, named Bithin Majumder, who unknowingly traveled in a ladies special train, can't be fined Rs. 550/- without any receipt. But he is abused as victim of the worst situation by railway authorities who are misusing the power and position.
                  If govt. does not take any prompt action then the youth will shout for their right and will also inform all higher authorities of the country.
                  I strongly support the bithin mojumdar. Because, I was also harassed, embrassed, humiliated by railway staffs like TC, railway police in many occassion.

                  So, I want railway management to take hard to hard action against those employees involved in mal-practices.

                  I am looking forward to a prompt action

                    Its not the first time on hoshiarpur station this lady misbehave lot of people
                    Sir if you don’t trust me then you may also verify from people who came to station to book the ticket there is no law .
                    It is my kindly request please take the necessary action against the hoshiarpur(HSX) railway station .

                    आज दिनांक २७-११-२०११ को मेरी पत्नी श्रीमती सुभद्रा शर्मा जिन की उम्र लगभग ६१ साल हें मेरे मामा की लडकी श्रीमती ,चन्द्रर कांता जो स्वयम लगभग ६५ वर्स की हें, २९०३ गोल्डेन टेम्पल से भरतपुर से मथुरा के लिये टिकिट क्रमांक[protected] लेकर पीछे महिला कोच में रवाना हुई , भरतपुर में ही ट्रेन के गार्ड ने आकर एक महिला व दो पुरुषो को महिला कोच में चढ़ा दिया जिन पुरुषो को गार्ड ने महिला कोच में चढाया था वह गाढ़ी चलते ही महिलाओ के साथ अभद्रता करने लगे जिस पर कोच में बेठी सभी महिलाओ ने इन दोनों यात्रियों का विरोध किया इतने में ही गाढ़ी भरतपुर मथुरा के बीच मुड़ेसी रामपुर नामक स्टेशन के पास रुक गयी तब उक्त महिला व दोनों पुरुषो के पास पुन: ट्रेन गार्ड आया तो महिलाओ ने ट्रेन गार्ड से दोनो पुरुषो के महिला कोच में बैठाये जाने का विरोध किया, इस पर उक्त ट्रेन के गार्ड ने अन्य महिलाओ के साथ ही मेरी पत्नी व मेरे मामा की लडकी चन्द्र कांता के साथ अभद्र एवं अश्लील भाषा का उपयोग किया, व गालियां दी ,जो की अत्यंत ही अशोभनीय एवं शर्मनांक ही नही एक क़ानूनी अपराध भी हें जो की आप के ट्रेन गार्ड ने किया हें ,
                    १. पहले तो महिला कोच में पुरषों को बैठा कर ट्रेन गार्ड ने असम्वेधानिक कार्य किया व अपने पद का दुरपयोग किया हें !
                    २. महिलाओ के साथ ट्रेन गार्ड का अभद्र एवं अश्लील व्यवहार करना व गालियां देना ना केवल गलत हें वल्कि यह एक कानूनन अपराध भी हें !
                    अत: श्रीमान जी से अनुरोध हें की उक्त ट्रेन गार्ड के विरुद्ध अवलम्ब कठोर क़ानूनी कार्य वाही करने की क्रपा करे |

                    दिनांक १० जून २०११ एवं ३० मई २०११ को भेजे गये ई- मेल एवं दिनांक १६ जून २०११ को आपको एवं कम्पनी के मेनेजिग डायरेक्टर को लिखे पत्र पर आज दिन तक आप अथवा कम्पनी के मेनेजिग डायरेक्टर ने कोई कार्यवाही नही की हें, साथ ही दिनांक १३.०६.२०११, एवं २०.०६.२०११ को कम्पनी के टेलीफ़ोन ९१ १२० ६४८०७९४ से किसी अनिल कुमार ने सर्विस चार्ज के रु० ३००/- की रसीद दुसरे ही दिन भेज देने का आश्वासन दिया था, वह रसीद भी हमे आज दिन तक प्राप्त नही हुई हें ! इस प्रकार आप के कर्मचारी भी ना केवल झूठे हें, वल्कि वितरक की जालसाजी में भी सम्मलित हें ! और आप भी पत्र का उत्तर नही दे रहे हें, अत: कियों ना इस सम्वन्ध में वैधानिक कार्यवाही अमल में लायी जाय|
                    i m 23 year girl i traveled from super fast from mumbai to chennai in last month i was in 2nd class near gundakal local passangers boarded the train near the coach was full of crowd a boy was standing near to me i pollitely told him to move a bit i was getting disturbed but the guy started rudely said i cant move i said him to move he stared using bad words and i got fustrated so i complained it to TT but he said to complaint to next TT WHO WILL CUM BUT HE made the boy get down but he went down n he slapped my uncle who was with me suppoting me he even tried to break the glass near my window a police man came i he took a complaint written next TT came to whom i tried to explain the condition but he said he i will get ur complaint but it wold be of no use he added that has no security this made me insecure i plzz u to do needful take this to the place were action can b taken i just request to place polices or armed police in atleast 2 coaches in every train i am really worried were is the security system gone i girl cant even safely travel plzzzzzzzzz do needful

                      sir/madam,
                      i would like to draw your attaintion towards the mis deed carried out by railway officials in case of sumeer special trains. these are run to clear the passenger rush but the trains go missing on the 139, and also on the indianrailways.gov.in. there was no information for the said train till 2.30 till the train 01041 arrived at patna junction. thus showing that how neglegent the railway officails are and how much do they care for their customer
                      please look into the matter and also provide some other nos for every railway enquiry system so that passengers can phone in to get the details as 139 is not properly updated

                        This is Vikas from Kotma Colliery. We are facing problem at reservation counter almost regularly.The situation at kotma station is people will be inline starting from 6 O'clock in the morning for Tatkal Reservation Ticke,.But the Railway Reservation staff placed at Kotma station will not open the curtain of the window till 8:05 or 8:10. They are getting extra money from some of the agents or from general public to do tatkal reservation for them, first they will finish their tickets after thet they will open the curtain of the reservation window.This is how the people who are on the Q from morning 6 will be struggling for the confirm tickets.

                        I know this is a low level of corruption but this needs to be stopped as soon as possible.

                        I went to book tickets for myself and my parents.
                        Status was waitlist.
                        But the person on the booking window informed me that one of the three tickets can be booked in senior citizen quota as my father is a senior citizen.
                        I said ok.
                        So he gave me one confirmed ticket separately and two waitlist tickets.
                        But for this simple suggestion that person charged me 80 Rs more than the total amount printed on tickets.
                        This happened at Anand Railway Station.
                        Later my friends informed me that this happens normally.

                          My aunt Mrs. Jyoti Shrawagi was travelling from Nashik to Nagpur on 25th May by Sewagram Express in coach B1. She is a 47 yr old woman and has a severe backache problem. When Nagpur station came she required help with her luggage and that is why she asked the train attendants present there at that time if they could help her. They however were very rude and straight away refused to help her out by saying that it wasn't their job. I wonder if these people act the same way with the other aged people or people with some health issues. I would hereby request you to tell these attendants to keep their behavior in check.

                            Subject: Complaint against a TTE who tried to misbehave with me (Female - age 21 years) on knowing that I am travelling alone on 25thMay 2011 from New Delhi to Jammu Tawi on Train No. 12445 Uttar Sampark Kranti.

                            Respected Sir

                            As a reponsible citizen of India, I would like to bring your kind attention towards an act of sheer disgrace and shame in the name of Indian Railways. Sir, I have been a frequent traveller of Indian Railways but this incident has left me helpless and I really feel that this matter be looked into on a serious note.
                            Sir, it was around 10pm when I had just finished my dinner and was on my seat(SU berth no.6) when Mr. Daljeet Singh (CIT) on the AC-2 coach came to my seat and started talking to me. In some time he asked me to come down on his berth and on my refusal he went away. He again returned after some time when I was fast asleep on my berth, he woke me up and again insisted on the same thing. He went on to the extent of saying that he'll stop the train at Ludhiana for sometime for tea and all. I again refused and told him to go off to sleep. This TTE came to me the third time and held my hand and insisted that I come down on his seat for atleast 10mins. This act was very offensive and it infuriated me to the core. On this, I came down and went to seek help from a lady and she let me sleep on her berth. Sir, I slept on her berth for the rest of the night but I would really like that a strict action be taken against Mr. DALJEET SINGH so that such people do not get a chance to exploit young women ever again.
                            Looking forward for co-operation from your side so that the confidence of the Indian people in the Indian Railways always remains high and we continue to be proud of it.

                              i have to give A complaint About Raver Railway Station Railway police.
                              I Always UP-DOWN From Raver to Dadar by train no. 11058 Amritsar express.
                              there are many womens who takes vegetables, Leaves of Banana & NEEM & BELL, Flowers illegally. And for same Railway police of RAVER STATION takes Rs 20 for each box or bundles. 1 women take two or three bundles daily and sell them in mumbai ( kalyan , dadar, thane ) Raver rail police ask compulsory money other wise he through their bundles out of train. womens who gives money call him MAJOR DADA. and because of this DADA the passenger who travels with SECOND SLEEPER CLASS troubling much. passenger purchase Sleeper ticket to sleep and safe comfortable journey but due to railway police they cannot travel comfortably. daily from DADAR AMRITSAR EXPRESS about 720 passengers travel with sleeper class. We are suffering from this MAJOR DADA.

                                  This is to inform you that as per the railway budget 2011, presented by our respectable railway minister, has indicated the senior citizenship of the ladies from the age of 60 to 58 for availing the reduction in the ticket rates and for men the percentage deduction was from 30% to 40%. But no development has taken place regarding the execution of it.
                                  Therefore, kindly look into the matter and response at the earliest.

                                    My friend Mr. Vilash Patil booked one ticket in "Tatkal" sceme of Indian Railway on 19.05.11 from the Bistupur booking counter. The ticket (PNR No.[protected] was for traveling from Tatanagar to Howrah on 21.05.11 by Steel Express (Exp departure at 6.15am on 21.05.11). At the time of booking of the ticket, it was WL6.
                                    Unfortunately, till the time of his travel the ticket was not confirmed and he had to travel with a new second class travelling ticket.
                                    The same day at 10.30am, when I went to the same counter for the cancellation of the ticket, it was told to me that the cancellation of the ticket is not possible as it was booked in tatkal scheme and they also told that it is too late for the cancellation. However they advised me to go to the Tatanagar Railway station counter for the cancellation. When I reached the Railway station counter for the cancellation, they said the tatkal ticket, even if not confirmed can not be cancelled after 3 hours from the time of departure of train.
                                    If the same is true, then how come somebody travelling to a destination (Which require more than 3 hrs travelling time), will be able to cancel their ticket. For any traveller, the first intension is to travel & not the cancellation of his ticket. In this case, if the travelled had to cancel his waiting list ticket, he could not have done it before 11:00am (When he reaches Howrah Station).

                                    Please look in to the problem and raise the issue to the proper forum, so that atleast 2/3 days time is given for the cancellation of waiting list tickets, from the time of actual departure of the train.

                                    I had booked two tickets from IRCTC website (PNR no. [protected]) and of the two only one got confirmed and the other one was in waitlisted after the chart was made. I filed a TDR (No. ekt[protected]) for refund of my waitlisted ticket a year ago, but till date have not received the refund. TDR history says regret and refund will not be made.

                                      1 - When i want to catch train at platform no 15th the Ac 2 tier coach shown 3rd from the engine so we go there but after that it came last third from the engine during the short time we have transfer our huge luggage through a whole platform and unnecessary extra amount paid to the HAMAL

                                      2 - When i am traveling in train i ask pantry boy to give me a drinking water bottle so he replie me there is no drinking water bottle in the train its finished i replied ' how its possible its long journey and we face shortage of water so i tell him please give me complaint book to lodge a complaint so he reply me with anger that ' TAKE A BOOK FROM PANTRY CAR DONT ASK ME ' is this kind of facility which i get in 2A(TWO TIER AC)

                                      AC 2 Tier Coach codition is not up to the standard. Rats are roaming in the coaches. No Water in the lavotary on 27 Feb 2011 in train number 12515 TVM Guawati Express. Please take care of Indian Railways.

                                        Sir, it was my first visit to BCT railway station for TATKAL ticket for Mumbai to Delhi, I came around 5:30am in railway station there was around 15 people front of me in waiting line, But till 6:30 I was on 50 number in line, Police is very corrupt, so many agents is here, there is very good coordination between agents and police, ticket mafia is here, there is a gang of ticket agents mafia, I use to think that Mumbai police is very good and they make good system But it is only myth, here Police is very corrupt, it is not only coordination between police and agents but also railway officers involve in this corruption because one agent submit 3-4 forms which is illegal one person can submit one form, so I think Mumbai central railway station is hub of corruption. I belong from delhi and I thought that Mumbai is safer from delhi as my friends also says. But it is not. So plz take action for this if you are not a part of this coordination.
