Dear Sir/Mam,

The problem we are facing is that,after our possesion of the flat in 2006, we found out
that our meter was faulty as it was giving a much lower reading for our electricity usage.We complained
to MSEB Thane & the meter was changed by them to a new one which gave appropriate readings.
Now suddenly in November2010, we get a bill of the Rs.5000/- even after paying the bills regularly every month. Till Oct,2010 we used to get a bill of around Rs600-700. When we went to MSEB Thane, with this bill for complaining, we were given the following reasons.

1. Our meter has been changed in Feb2010, because we were charged Rs.600-700 when we should be charged a bill of Rs.[protected]. The amount of Rs.5000/- is the total of the differences in the bills up to
November,2010

2. The meter can be changed anytime they want to.

3. We are getting such big amount because AC in our house.

My complaint here is,
1. If the meter has been changed in Feb,2010 then why are we charged all the amount in November,2010.
What were the MSEB officials doing all this month?

2. The bill that MSEB charges should depend upon the actual usage of the electricity & not upon the judgement of the MSEB officials.

3. Although we have AC we didn't use it in Monsoons's, Also we are working people & most of the times we
are not in our home.We try to save electricity by switching off Ac, fridges, Tv when not in Use

4.If the meter is installed by MSEB in 2007, then how did it turn faulty, this time the MSEB is also at fault for installing a faulty meter.

5. If such things continue, MSEB will keep changing meter anytime without prior notice & harrass the consumers by charging higher bills. How can a person who earns a salary of Rs10,000 per month afford to pay such bills.

6. Why did the MSEB charge us wrong bills from Feb,2010 to Oct,2010 even after a meter change?Why it didn't keep a check on the bill amounts all this month? Whose fault is it?

7. Why didn't the MSEB communicate the meter change in writing to the consumer?

8. The MSEB officials are also talking very rudely to my mother

My mother is harrased this time & i need help as the MSEB officials have done mistakes & they
are troubling the consumers for their mistakes. I also need assurance from the MSEB that they have installed a meter that gives actual readings & that it will not be changed in future considering it as faulty.

Also the government urges us to save electricity & if do so we are told by MSEB that just because we have
AC in our home we are supposed to get a higher bill & not a bill of lower amount.Is the MSEB charging people on the basis of their judgement of the bill people should be getting or on the basis of the reading the meter is showing.

    MY consumer no is[protected]
    i paid my bill(rs 1230) which was due on 16 august 2010 on 1st augusst 2010 thro interne banking
    this amount has been debited from my bank account but all the electricity bills which i received afterwards had this amount as unpaid.i mailed [protected]@ho.mahadiscom.in but was of no use on 1 october,,
    i even went to the exchange, they just made me run from one exchange to another.They nw say it needs to be cleared from rassta peth centre,,pls help..

      This is to bring under the notice of concerned authorities that every month the electricity bill is recieved after the due date.
      our area is Nehru nagar,Kanjurmarg (East)

      why should we pay a fine every month when it is the sheer negligence from the person appointed to deliver the bill's. inspite of repeated complaints the same is being repeated time again.

      I request you to please do the needful at your earliest.

      MSEDCL — Due to

      On September-2009 MSEDCL has given me bill of RS.5300/- saying that in past few month they had given me average meater reading and from now onwards we will start with correct meater reading and i paid the amount on Octomber-2009 again MSEDCL given me average meater reading bill of Rs1080/- in the month November-2009 they sent me bill of Rs3110/- calculateing adjusted meater reading for MSEDCL's failure in service of collecting meater reading why i should bare huge cost after two or three month if they collect proper meater reading every month then i will not have to pay huge cost at a time
      on march 2010i have fill form for light connection but at that time doesnot give sthe light on my home

        I am having MSEB electric supply at my residence 5-B wanwadi Road, AFMC Pune.

        The voltage fluctuation in electricity is very disturbing. It also leads to many appliances going bad.

        My Supply is from St Mary's Church/ Rastapeth office.

        MSEB officials are requested to kindly rectify this problem at the earliest.

          Dear Sir,

          My Name is Mr. Guddu Horilal Hedau and living in airoli from last 12 years. My address is Mamata Society, Row house no-10, sector -2 airoli, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra-400708.
          Electricity supply of only house in the society is cut off without notice on dated[protected] around 4.00 pm. After almost 18-20 hrs electric supply is again started. On that day my family is danger as some peoples want to kill my family. I have already complaint in the Human Rights Commision and in ploice station also. Human Rights case number is 2692/2010 and enquiry of this is continue. Also copy of this is send to the President and Prime Minister of India.
          Some politicans with the help of MSEB officals trying to kill my family with the planning. There names of the MSEB officals are as follows:
          1) D.R. Basu (Chief Engg)
          2) C.R. MIshra (Executive Engg)
          3) J.R. Reddy (Deputy Engg)
          4) V.L. patil (Engineer)
          5) Dattu patil (Lineman)

          Maharashtra State Electricity Board — Power Cut

          Hi,

          The due date for the submission of bill is 24th of feb 2009. where as the person from the dept comes on 17th it self for cutting the power.

          Infact there should have been some prior intimation before taking this act.

          There may be some proper way before taking any harsh actions.

            This complaint is regarding excess bill of electricity imposed on Us for October month which is nearly 2000 Rs for 336 units of Power consumed. we Live at 1 BHK flat in Pune. Generally Bill varies from 150 to 500 for 50-116 units at most. All Electric appliances we used were same as before but this is too much in our Bill history. We have paid the amount already but I want to draw the kind attention of Maharastra Government toward this problem. The people who have not time to investigate ,pay amount without any hassle which is not fare.I even wrote the application but nothing happened.

            i have complain against kalyan msedcl as they are sending useless bills to the people recently we got a bill of rs 3070 . in that bill showing we have used 534 units in month of july 2011 . in which we have a single 10 by 10 room in kalyan where how we can use this much. as last two month we have consumed only 130in may &122 in june 2011 respectively .but the msedcl accountant does not have sense about billing because they send us the bill from may 2011 to july 2011 as per the units comsumption . i woud like to mention it as per month

            in may 2011, 3544 to 3674 = 130 units and in month of
            june 2011, 3674 to 3796 = 122 units and in month of
            july 2011, 3585 to 4119 = 534 units this much useless people working in kalyan msedcl. tell me how does it happen.

                My consumer no. is[protected]. From last so many months I am getting excess bill amount. But always I ignore it. But last month I get surprised to see that this month also I get the same amount of Bill as I was not at home for more than 15 days. I live in LIG-52 HUDCO COLONY, LONAVLA-410401. Pls. look into the matter and do the neeful. as my neighbour are getting Bill only for Rs.500/- to 700/-. They are and I am using same electric appliances. Althogh mostly my home remain closed as my wife and me both are working.

                Nov'11 (Units 211 & Rs.1420.00)

                While I have AC and Geyser, I dont use them. I am out most of the time and only the fridge is running and when I am at home one fan and two lights.

                  I have paid my Bill payment of Rs.1360.00 on[protected] as shown in attached sheet. Yesterday and today I went to your Khanda Colony office and requested to revert back the power supply. I am staying here with family and a kid. It is very difficult to stay without power even after making the payment on time. Today also I went the same office. But they said the office is on holiday today and it is not possible to clear it today. What is the solution to get back my power connection? These people says it is because of Online payment. I use to make the payment directly this time I was in Kerala so I made it through online. I think this is a basic need to check the payment history of the consumer before cutting his power connection. Now I will have to suffer for three days. Please do the needful at the earliest.

                  MSEDCL — fluctuation in supply and low voltage

                    WE, RESIDENTS OF AVINASH COMPLEX S.NO. 7A HINGNE KHURD, NEAR GANADHISH COMPLEX , ARE FACING HIGH VOLTAGE PROBLEM SUPPLIED AT OUR BUILDING SINCE LAST ONE MONTH. HENCE WE HAVE TO FACE CAPACITOR BURNING PROBLEM AT LIST FOUR TO FIVE TIMES IN A MONTH . WE HAVE CONSULTED ELECTRICIAN AND HE ADVISED THAT THERE IS HIGH VOLTAGE SUPPLIED TO YOUR BUILDING , IT IS ABOUT 250 KV WHICH RESULTS IN THIS PROBLEM.

                      sir,
                      I am Rajendra kumar verma c/o Mr Shantaram Kalu Sawant PLOT NO. 22 Swamy Samarth Nagar Ozar Shivar/ozar 422206.
                      Incedent is like this that in oct 2009 I was out of station and there was a lock at house door as it is shown in the bill print out .The next month when I was back home I received two bills from oct 09 and nov 09 of 294 units each .I deposited the bill as it was due from two months. In the next month dec 09 again a bill for 294 units was sent then I got some doubt that why again and again only 294 units bill is being sent ,then I check my meter personnely then I found meter was running very fast and it has run 4040 units in the month of oct 09 and nov 09. I ran to the sub office at janardan swamy nagar ojhar and trie to meet the concerned authority but only one wire man Mr puri could meet me. I narrated the matter that meter has gone faulty and need to be changed soon. He told sahab abhi nahi hai , do one thing provide the xerox copy of oct 09, nov 09, dec 09 and deposite the bill for dec 09 ,He will takeup the matter when sahab comes and next month meter will be changed and the reading will be adjusted but I did not deposite the bill when he felt that I will not deposite the bill one day he came to my house and asked my wife to pay the money to him and he will deposite the money to the bank. My wife was annoyed very much and asked him to go back then he threatened her that if bill is not deposited supply will be cut , on this statement I have diposited the bill. But in the next month jan 2010 again a bill of 294 units was sent . Again I ran to the office but the concerned JE was again missing only Mr puri again met me ,I was bit annoyed over him and asked him what happened meter is running with its own speed and nothing is done . Again he dogged me and asked a copy of jan 2010 bill and asked to deposite the bill and assured that in the next month surely meter will be changed.I was back again with doing the same as he has said to be done.In next month again nothing was done bill for 294 units was sent ,this month I decided not to deposite the bill but Mr puri this time approched to my house owner directly that I am not depositing the bill in time so he should do the needfull then I narrated whole story my house owner and still deposited the bill for feb 09. After feb 09, I was adament that till meter is changed I will not deposite the further bills .When I did not paid the bill for mar 2010 and Apr 2010 then in the month of may 2010 the power was cut from the poll witout any written notification by Mr puri of its own saying that he was under pressure and actual bill of 9311 units was sent to me costing Rs 57980.This time new Junior Eng Mr veirgude was available at sub office and matter has gone to him then he odered hime join back the connection as matter was under pursue. I narrated whole evidence , After seeing all the records he said he has been told that there was a fault at the house that is why meter has run this much . This was fed to him by Mr puri as he was going to be asked about the delay for the matter. Then I requested to concerned officer to visit my house and see the power load how much in house hold can consume then he also said that in normal house hold this much meter can not run then he advised to sent the meter for checking in the month of june 2010. On 02 July 2010 meter was taken out and sent for testing and the new meter was installed.when old meter was tested it was found faulty ,the report about this was told to puri then he was unable to speak anything and submitted to the office at Kanal Bagaitdar main office at Ojhar on 21 July 2010 before this there also the concerned officer Mr Richwal could meet only once, he also said that there have been some fault at house that is why meter has run so much then I asked him whether he has appointed somebody to check my house then he was quite on that move and said that as per the meter testing report bill will be adjusted . The meter report says that meter was running 27.67% fast but I requested him to pursue the matter by seeing my previous records, always bills have been deposited in time , no bill has been made pending in previous time, as meter has run so much due to dogging of Mr puri as he has been assuring me to do the needful for five months meter could not be changed and reading has gone so much high that can not be deposited and I was not at fault but he was not convinced by my statement and said only he will trust meter report nothing else and assured me that the needful will be done very soon and you will get the corrected bill. After that I kept running neither any correction has been done to the bill nor I could meet the concerned authority Mr Richwal. In the first week of oct 2010 I visited the office then Mr Angle met me and said that I have to meet to Mr chaudhary who was not available that day so I have to come next tuesday .Last event on 16 oct 2010 in my abscence my wife ran to office , there Mr chaudhary assured her that bill has been corrected and kept on the table of Mr Richwal for last three days but he is unavailable so report can not be sent to nasik office so again it is pending. To day 04 nov 2010 the new bill for Rs 65020 is being sent .
                      The new meter instaled is running correctly as 259 units in july 2010, 220 units in Aug 2010 ,131 units in sep 2010 and 155 units in oct 2010.
                      The older meter actual running status is like 4040 units in oct 09 & nov 09,1747 units in Dec 09, 1637 units in jan 2010, 751 units in Feb 2010, 348 units in Mar 2010, 440 units in Apr 2010 ,552 units in May 2010 ,355 units in june .
                      By seeing the running record it can be understood that there have been some critical fault to the meter which is unnoticable and due to that it has jumped up so much and come down again of its own . House side there is no fault which has been noticed by Mr veirgude the new Jun Eng at sub office at swamy janardan nagar ojhar.
                      I am in a great tence and under depression as amount is piling up and no one is hearing my plea. my few points to be noticed:

                      1. why elecricity department has not sent the actual bill in the month of oct 09 and nov 09 when meter has run for 4040 units why only for 294 units for respective months .
                      2. Mr puri is to be charged heavily as because of him only this piling o[censored]nits has been created. His role becomes very suspesious as he is the incharge of this local area and he has tried to show that he can do whatever he feels like. In the same row house meter is transfered from insaide to outside as he had tried to show taht I have been ding something wrong. Further I feel he wanted some bribe to resolve the problem but when he has seen that he can get nothing he has fixed me to create all this.
                      3. The reading of new meter installed should be taken in consideration as it is running properly and bill is to be prepared accordingly from mar 2010.

                      I have received a bill of amount 5400/- for the month of Feb '09.When I am complaining the same, they are telling it is averaged for the last 17 months because the meter is faulty.But I have paid the bill regularly.So to whom I can complain on this .

                        I realise there is load shedding across the city (and country) but I do know it follows a schedule.
                        Now I dont notice exactly when as I work and hardly at home during weekdays. I do know Thursday ifs a day when it happens at our place (Kunal Icon, Pimple Saudagar). When I called the Pimpri sub division complaint numbers for Kalewadi to find the schedule for today I was told load shedding DOES NOT happen by schedule!!! I was shocked.
                        I politely asked how I can schedule some electricity work if I dont know when I wont have power (and that too for 3-4 hrs). I was told "aapko batakar thodi power cut karenge"

                        I am VERY deeply shocked and surprised that such is the state!

I already lodge Complaint in sabegoan (Diva) and they have send NOC To BHARAT GEAR Office but they still not have entered My detail.

                        Kindly look at this matter and give me Proper Guide

                            I have a similar grievance .I am resident of Thane with consumer number[protected]. I have recieved monthly electricity bill of about 36500 /-, which MSEB is forcing me to pay saying that the reading of the meter was faulty from last 1.5 years.

                            I was regularly paying bills which were around 800 rupees every month which i think were appropriate considering my electricity usage & that i dont even have AC's/Geyser or any other appliances which consume much electricity.
                            Adding to it, we all are working @ home, so i need to know where should i for getting justice.

                            There is complaint against not receiving bill copy month of may-2012. and june-2012, consumer no[protected]
                            so pls send bill copy of our residential address, as soon as possible to earlier.

                              Im Manoj from Ambernath doing a Computer business. I am suffering heavy losses due to MSEB load shedding. Inverters are also not able to support. Moreover the electricity bills are going on rising day by day. This MSEB babus are fully of corrupted people they just need bribe for any small thing they does. Pune was facing a load shedding problem earlier but stopped this exercise only after public bursted there anger on mseb people and offices by beating the babus and destroying the office. Now they are happy to see that there is no load shedding. I cant understand whats happening to Ambernath public they are just forgiving everything there is nobody who could support or come out in a crowd to teach mseb babus a lesson.

                              Because of this load shedding many people who is struggling for bread and butter is getting affected. When will this change and those people including people would be able to do work unaffected due to this mseb monopolies. I just need to say if this will continue like this MSEB is making on profit day by day but the people like us close down the business.

                              I would like to appeal the people of Ambernath just get out of your home and protest against the illegal stand of MSEB. I am willing to join such crowd...Jaago public Jaago...

                              Yes i agree with manoj. I am seeing how the electricty is wasted by MSEB board. streets lights remain on for the whole day in sai section, and the residents have to suffer load sheeding. If the street lights are put off on time, that electricity can be used for avoiding load sheeding. But, no one appears to be bothered.

                              Me too being in the computer field. I need a stable internet connection to work on. Though my Inverter does keep my WiFi & Computer up and running but the network switch at my neighbours has no power. This problem has often ruined my hours of work.

                                i m customer of mseb thane., i am staying in Kisan nagar no.3.they are sending us bill as a faulty meter and our meter is working properly and after that month they are sending extra amount bill, this problem is about they sending person for collecting meter reading do not work properly and they don't have proper idea about it. our reagion officer is mr. s.s.patane. He is also behaving irresponsibally.

                                    FAULTY METER NOT REPLACED SINCE 3-4 MONTHS.
                                    I am Haribhau A Gabhale, living at Asangaon, thane. I have made a written complaint for my higher mater consumption in last 3-4 months. After following personally so many times they have checked the meter and found faulty. Now I am waiting for my meter replacement since last 3-4 months have passed . I have contacted Shri Rathore, Officer-In-Charge and Shri Vishe but in vain. Bill amount is piling up and every month. I am going to every saturnday and shown the problem. MSEB staff is check and promiss to replace the meter. but till date no solve the problem. I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH TIME IS SUFFICIENT FOR SUCH ISSUES BUT CERTAINLY NOT 3-4 MONTHS.

                                    My consumer no.[protected], in the name of Munesh P. Walmiki, regularly paying your dues as per your bill. I don't get the bill for the month Sept-12. I saw the bill online then i surprised because you have shown our total units 464 that is not possible. In that you have shown the Adj. Units=155 (from where you get adj. units, please clarify)&(Previous Reading 1, Current reading 155, on that bases the units should be 154, but have shown consumes 309 Units (309+155=464 total units).
                                    Sir, please look in this matter & clarify me why you show 309 Units & what are adj. Units in the bill.

                                    I am herewith attaching bills for the Aug-12 to Oct-12 & Bill history from Nov-11 to Oct-12. Please look at the major difference in the month of Sept-12.

                                    We had already given application to MSEB, Shahpur regarding our cubicle box short circuit(blast issue) on 7 th of May 2014.

                                    After we found that no actions has been taken by Mseb, we gave another complaint on 10th May, so that MSEB people will resolve our issue, but still it hasn't been resolved.

                                    From last 9 days we are just waiting for resolutions for our complaint but no assistance we got.

                                      I use to pay MSEB bill online. While paying the Bill amount before 15th of every month, a discount of Rs.10 is being offered when we pay across the counter manually. Whereas when I pay the same thing, online I am not getting that benefit. Normally I use to pay the bill between 10th to 13th of everymonth online. As a sample I have attached the scanned copy of this month bill ( September 2010 ) for which I have paid the bill amount of Rs.1060 ( displayed as a default, which cannot be altered ) on 11th October instead of Rs.1050.                                         I'm a resident of Kondhwa and have faced this problem a couple of times. I'm somebody who is very particular about paying bills on time, as I hate the hassles of running around from pillar to post paying the late fee etc. But I feel extremely dejected when on Friday evening I come back home to see mine is the only flat without lights!! My immediate reaction was to call an electrician to come and see what the fault was. In the meantime, I go down to the meter box and i'm aghast to see the wire has been cut. I was then told by my neighbours that the MSEB Van had come and cut the electricity, of all those people who had not paid the bill. I was agitated and went to the close by MSEB office with my bill, which clearly stated I had paid it on time. The man at the counter was least interested and all he said was that I had to go to some far off place to get it fixed. It was 9 PM by then, and after reaching that place I was told it will be done by next morning. I had to literally plead when one agreed to come and get the work done. Though I'm grateful to that gentleman to have agreed among the other 5, what I did not understand was of paying travel and service charges to him...

                                        All this for paying the bill on time!!

                                        The best way is to allow private operators to distribute electricity in a similsr way as there are a number companies offering mobile services.
                                        I am residrnt of dhanori. I had similar experience evrn after paying they
                                        Cut electricity. Thry even did not inform us. This is pathatic.
                                        I came across the fact that mseb has contracted some part of work, billing to Third party.
                                        TheseGuys Comes on time even before time 8AM. But MsEB folks Comes At 11am. They Start 9.0 am but you
                                        need to wait till 11. Bad thing.
