    Dear Sir,

    I have received electeric bill Rs 11000/- due to faulty electric meter. Then i inform to nearest MSEB office & inspected electic meter by MSEB person, he found meter is 97% faster & given report copy. Thenafter i received elcetic bill of Rs. 83000/-. Normaly we received elactric bill in the range 3000/- to 5000/-

    Who is responsible for this? Who will pay this money?

    Can u advice me what to be done?

      My meter reading on 3-apr-10 was 7482 units & it went up to 11892 units. Which is around 4000units due to faulty meter.
      If you see the areas average billing unit graph no one exceeds 600units! Therefore this meter is faulty & iam not eligible to pay this amount. please

        The people residing in mumbra kausa have to face untold hardships due to unwarranted and untimely loadshedding. Severely affecting children, housewifes, small shop owners and trade in general. As the onset of a hot and sultry summer taking a heavy toll on peoples daily life as vegetables, grocery and foodstuffs stored in refrigerators got spoilt due to non availability of electricity. Electrical appliances are damaged due to sudden switching off of vital electricity. The plight of the people in this reason is pathetic as they are all silent sufferers for the past several years. This region which consists of substantial minority community people are given a step motherly treatment. People are wondering when this suffering will end ?

            MSEB Complaints - 7hr 30min Load shedding & Frequent electricity failure in Kausa - Mumbra Division


            This is regarding electricity failure & electricity load shedding problem in Mumbra - Kausa,
            In mumbra-Kausa there is frequent power failure for a long time. also now load shedding times also got increasea by more 1 hr, now load shedding is morning 9:15am to 1:00pm afternoon, & again 2:45pm to 6:30pm. total 7hrs 30min load shedding in mumbra in day time, whole day we have to stay in hot temprature , without FAN.
            as compare to Kalwa load shedding time got decrease.

            Sometime even power cut hit for more than 10 to 12 hours which is affecting most of the people whose office, business and workshop depends on electricity.



            I have also seen power failure happening due to poor transformer performance which tends to fails frequently in most of the areas of Kausa – Mumbra. It seems proper maintenance and routing checkup may solve this issue, however it doesn’t happen in Kausa – Mumbra. In case of transformer failure we have to call MSEB 15 to 20 times to come and fix it, instead they don’t turn up and we have to go at their office located at Bharat Gear and bring them.



            I request you to look at this issue with priority and take appropriate action on MSEB employees.

            I agree with you MR.AHMED. we the people of mumbra, india we should raise the voice & get our justice of being indian to get all facilities what rest of mumbai is getting thru BEST/RELIANCE. How our kids will get educated whats the future if it goes like that.

            Whr is our politicians they only come out of the A/C house when they need our vote. Please help us even we want to grow.

            yeh mseb wali sale dalle naas peete haram zade kamine kutte light aise band karte hain mumbra kausa ki jaise inke biwiyon ne dahej mein leke aayi hain. iske bawajud bhi bills 3000 rs. niche nahi aata
            Now the revised time of load sheding is 06 AM to 10 AM & 02:30 PM to 06:30 PM (Total 08 Hrs)
            the revised time of load shedding is 06 AM to 10 AM & 02:30 PM to 06:30 PM (Total 08 Hrs) and bonus 2 to 3 hours due to poor transformer performance.
            though its due to unavailability of Coal but what about poor transformer performance.

            MSEB — frequent load shedding

            There is frequent load shading in kalwa
            on 27 june night approx for more than 5 to 6 hours power supply is not there
            Its unable to sustain in this climate and no one is seeking out the reason for frequent cutting of power supply....

              I am Anju S. Ingle staying at Nalasoapara w since 4 years. Now a days here there is lots of Load Shading is started. Earlier also there was load shading but due to winter season we did not realised it but now its summer season we are facing lots of problem.

              They cuts light in mornging at 7to 12 & in afternoon 3 to 5 also in evening from 7to 8.30 its really very painful for us.

              Request you pls look into the matter. resolve the issue asap.

                we stay in 603, pecan , marigold, kalyaninagar, pune and my msedcl consumer number is[protected],PC 5.since last year i am following with mr jadhav of msedcl,kalyaninager pune for refund against abnormal units recorded for especially two months (1000+ units and 600+units)where my average consumption per month comes to 250 units. this firm has taken rs 7500 and rs 3500 approximately for these two months where usulay i pay something between rs 1200 to rs 2000 per month . after lots of persuasion with mr jadhav (MOBILE NUMBER [protected]),my faulty meter was changed and from then onwards my meter reading is okay. but whenever I am asking mr jadhav who is the officer in charge of kalyaninager as i was told(i have till date made 20 calls to him) --recently he is asking me to speak to his boss DEPUTY EXECUTIVE ENGINEER mr dusane--today when i followed up mr jadhav told that he will speak to mr dusane again but at the same time he is telling that mr dusane has been transferred--when i spoke to mr dusane(mobile number [protected]) yesterday he told he is not aware of my case though mr jadhav told me that he has updated mr dusane on my case--today mr dusane is not attending my call--this is a strong case of mental harassment --this refunded money will not make me rich --i want to protest msedcl , pune that it is collecting all wrong money from people without reasons and the system is totally without discipline (please go through page 4 of today's pune mirror where a big news has come about msed cl faulty reading at mr rajendra pawar's house at kalyaninagar,pune (this story is exactly my story)and this firm not paying the excess amount to mr pawar at kalyaninagar pune itself;
                KINDLY HELP ME TO GET THE EXCESS AMOUNT BACK WHICH IS PAID TO MSEDCL AT THE EARLIEST --THEIR OFFICIALS SHOULD TAKE THIS DECISION AND GIVE ME THE REFUND AT THE EARLIEST --ANY LAYMAN GOING THROUGH OUR CASE WILL UNDERSATND THAT TWO TIMES EXCESS HAS CHANGED WHICH IS NOT ATALL MATCHING WITH OUR AVEARAGE MONTHLUY CONSUMPTION--KINDLY TAKE UP MY CASE AND HELP ME AT THE EARLIEST

                  I got the first electricity bill & it has been charged as per the average unit of 50 per month. The bill is for 4.43 month & the reason has been given as no reading available. But I would like to inform you that nobody is staying in that house & thats the reason no electricity has been used. I request you to kindly make the adjustment in the electricity bill for the month of march 2010.

                  I am stay at pune location at chichawad, and house owner they are changed for electricity bill for montly fix rate 6 RS per unit .

                  mean only for 30 UNIT 30*6= 180 RS AND SUPPOSE 200 UNIT FOR 200 * 6 = 1200 RS .

                  They are fix rate given mean its very highly charged so pl advice what suggestion for owner ..

                    I have been harassed by MSEDCL staff threatening disconnection to my premises of the Hariganga site, Yerawada under Vishrantwadi SDN by Mr. Pawar and hisaccomplices on couple of ocassions.
                    For all MSEB complaints, refer to Electricty consumer's - Rights statement which are approved by MERC governed by Electricity act 2003. For the unyielding officials. First file a complaint and follow up with an RTI application. It takes just Rs.10/-. It is mandate that all complaints regarding meter reading has to be attended within 3 days.                     The staff at the Wadia Division is of the same character, they are busy in discussing the marriage parties and how should we go and attend the marriage party, they are not at all interested in doing their work and the consumer is standing in front of them, most of the time the employees viz. Kulkarni, Neelam, Mohsin and the Executive Engineer Mr. Rai is unavailable to hear the consumer complaints, they only interested in doing the work of the Electric Contractor who pay them a huge bribe.

                    The innocent consumers receives a huge amount bill but the big fishes who consume the more electricity because of this kind of corrupt officers are left free and all the amount is been collected from the poor ones.

                      This is inform that the load shedding which happens in Dombivli is far more than load shedding happening in any of the suburbs.

                      In Dombivli daily there is a load shedding of 3 hours that too during peak hour of the day (8.30 to 10am & 5 to 6.30pm).

                      The load shedding has to be uniform everywhere.

                      There is hardly any load shedding in the greater mumbai & western mumbai suburbs.

                      The major usage is the greater mumbai & western mumbai suburbs where majority of commercial offices & companies are functioning.

                      Requesting you to maintain a balanced load shedding schedule for all.

                      The load shedding in Thane district is far more than in Mumbai district where as consumption is not even 20% of that of Mumbai.

                      Hopping to find a solution to this problem which worsens in summer & rainy season specially.

                      Mumbai is a land of big pockets so they enjoy ! we on the other hand are mere mortals who work from the morning to the night come back home to get some sleep and then go again!.

                      BTW, its not 3 hrs for your kind information it was around 6 hrs
                      4 hrs in morning and 2 in evening or viceversa it was so every day!
                      now it is back to 4 hrs
                      with weekly or bi-weekly scheduled the so called "LOAD SHEDING" for 8 or 9 hrs!!!

                      try getting an invertor you will feel the pinch lesser.
                      kalyan dombivli is a valley actually in economics, we give but we dont get anything in return, we suffer with no end in sight, we pay our taxes to some unscruplous beer bellied people who show no regard for infrastructure!
                      no electricity no development no infrastructure no place to breathe !
                      part of life which cant be given up!

                      moreover there are private parties in play in mumbai. MSEB saves power from us and gives it to them and the surplus they sell it to other states!
                      see now where our electricity goes--> into mseb's stomach!
                      Dear Sir,
                      This is not only complaint but a thought of Indian Rural Education Development. I surprise that MSEDC Ltd, started Commercial Rate to Rural areas Schools and High schools.
                      In rural areas there is a regular load shedding. Because of it these schools cannot use this facility regularly.
                      2nd thing that in rural areas non on people use this schools for their recreation purpose.
                      Non of the rural people use this school without permission of Education Officer. So there is no chance to use electricity in commercial purpose.
                      MSEDC Ltd. started to give the bills commercial rate from August 2007 as per high court order.
                      In City area there may be attitude to use schools for Marriage purpose is
                      possible.
                      Please you think on this because in rural area schools and high schools established for educate the rural people those who are poor and below poverty line. Poverty developed because a lack of education.
                      These schools and high schools established by govt, some educational institutions or Non governmental agencies.
                      They run these schools only govt. payment support and donation by the local people. Now govt also stopped to give grant for rent to these schools.

                      In 21 century we are giving education by computer and media based. There the electricity must.

                      In Zillha Parishd schools they get some computers and media equipment as a teaching aids and very small amount for sadil expenses.
                      How they pay these bills. Those teachers have not attitude to raise the money support so after some days they stopped to use of electricity.
                      These schools are used by government when there is elections how we can use this service at that time if they didn't pay the bills.
                      I think there are experts but what happened that they forget the that is a human right of every Indian to get education.

                      So your company think on these problems and support rural education policy other wise many students stop there education because of lack of educational activities. It makes in rural area and number of dropout students may be increased. And affected to suffer the nation.

                      Please read these points very seriously and take positive decisions to do something for rural education development.

                      The above paid amount is shown as arrears in this month bill . When contacted on phone no[protected], which is displayed on hard copy of bill,

                        As my home is outside the village so need light at night due fear of Tiger already & having single phase connection ,but MSEB people not providing Single phase supply while load shading,they just ignore the request.and told that your home is away from main DP.but actually it is closer to DP.

                          Faulty meter recovery charges added in the electricity bill even though meter was not faulty.
                          I was out of town for 2 months hence there was no consumption of elecricity, when contacted MSEB they told to prove me that I was not at the residence for 2 months by getting the letter from society which subsequently got and submitted to MSEB.
                          But the report which was suppose to go from MSEB maintenance engineer to the billing section which he didn't send and told me that it has already been sent.
                          When I approached MSEB complaint section regarding bill overheads, they told report is not received from maintenance section.
                          I wasted my 2 leaves from office to run here and there for getting the things done from MSEB. But invain, now who is responsible for this.
                          Why should I prove that i was not at residence and meter is not faulty.
                          What these MSEB people are doing if they can't verify whether meter is faulty or not.
                          Whose job is this?
                          Why did MESB gave next bill with correct readings from meter if the meter is faulty?
                          why MSEB engineer didn't send the report to billing section even after fifteen days of submitting the required documents?

                          Even with us same problem, within 8 month meter replaced and give heavy bill no one listening to complaints.
                          Very very bad service of navi mumbai MSEB.

                            I am a tenant staying at A3-302 Parkwayz, Nr. Hinjewadi Petrol Pump, Thergaon, Wakad, Pune - 411057. The home is registered under the name of Smt. Pooja Gupta


                            Last month the electricity was cut by MSEB on the fact that the bill was not paid. I had already paid the bill through Internet, but was not reflected. To get it started, I pay additional Rs. 550 as cash at Kalewadi office the very next day. Still then the electricity was not restored. On later investigation, I came to know that the meter for which I was paying the bill was not connected to my home (A3/302). This was certified by people whom you had sent the last time.


                            Yesterday again, the electricity was cut. I believe the person who is using my meter has not paid the bill for which I am undergoing inconvenience. Yesterday, I have written my flat number on the correct meter.


                            I had informed the builder last time itself, but seems they have not taken any corrective action.

                              My name is Arun Purushottam Dhabarde. I am residing at Jijau nagar, manjari (Budruk)

                              The matter of concern is that for last 6-7 days my electric supply is disrupted and in connection with
                              this I had raised complaint with customer care on the number[protected].
                              I have told them that Please resume my electric supply as I have paid my bill in total.

                              I literally called up 10-12 times and so called agent over the phone assured me that my
                              problem would be resolved. However till date no one has turned up to my place and resume my
                              Connection.So due to this it has caused great inconvenience to me as my concrete work of foundation
                              had to be stopped and my cement bag are lying un-attended, so I am at a loss.
                              It hurts me lot why this injustice is done to me since I have paid my dues and I am in grave
                              trouble.

                              Hope you will do the needful/Otherwise I need to escalate this issue.

                                Dear Sir,

                                My house is closed and no one stays there since December 2009 month. But still I get hefty amount of electricity bill. MSEB has declared the meter as faulty since December and has charged 43 numbers o[censored]nits per month.

                                I request the MSEB to clarify this overcharging of the bill.

                                Please note that I wasn’t there in my house from April 2009 to October 2009 period as well, but that time bill was charged at nominal rate.

                                  I am retired person and harashed by MSEDCL, I an living in Badlapur, in february my wife is ill so i go to my sons house at Washi, so my room is locked and there is no use of electricity, but when reading is taken my person he remark that the meter is faulty and give mi average bill acording to 50 units, when i come to MSEDCL to pay bill i ask the officer why not taking the meter reading and what basis you give mee bill on average basis, they told that you pay this bill after next month amount will be reduced to next billm but in the next month same thing is done ,i repeat meet him but no reply from this person ,they also said that in next month bill will be recovered from last bill pay, but i am old person every month how shall i come only for this complaint, please do somthing for me.

                                  we have been paying our bills regularly and our consumption is always around 300 to 400 units but the bill for jan14 shows a consumption of 1819 units as we were told by your karjat office which is not possible because we are situated in an area where your office has as a policy enforced load shading and also in the past when we had faced the same billing problem it was observed that the meter at that time was 78% fast. we request you to kindly have our meter examined and have it replaced if neceesary and we shall pay the necessary charges. kindly note that we will not pay this bill unless our meter is examined and confirmed. we assure you prompt payment only after the necessary examination of the meter and rectification of our bill. we request you not to disconnect our supply till then and oblige.

                                    I had an OLD Analog meter which froze after reaching 20, 000 units. So, we replaced Analog meter with a brand new digital meter. As, it is a NEW meter the reading started from 0 (zero). But, MSEB system had the old reading (20, 000) in the system. Because of which MSEB system says the meter is faulty.

                                    We made numerous trip to MSEB, mumbra-thane office but no one helped in fixing the reading in MSEB system. We also, spend upto 25, 000 to different inviduals who assurred to fix the issue but nothing happened.

                                    Currenly, I am helpless and dis hearten by the service we are getting from MSEB mumbra. I have a good hope in writing this email to you for your kind help. Please do the needful. Since, the issue is at the MSEB system and my new meter is functioning as expected therefore i can not do anything on my end to fix the issue.

                                      Late night I am just watching an Movie on my laptop and its suddenly got burst because of the high voltage on the electricity supplies we are facing this problem of High voltage from last so many days.

                                      After that there engineers have resolved this problem while setting the new connection lines on the meters itself.

                                      But on my Laptop Model HP 6100 , Motherboard/TV Tuner got burst due to the said reason and for repairing it will cost around approximately Rs 12000 , Please let me know who should bear the said expenses..?

                                      Do i get the said compensation to repair mine laptop.?

                                        I am vikas kale from A/p atake tal:- karad Dist Satara, I am working at pune , I am facing much probelm from MSEB borad Oglewadi (Karad) , My Father (57 Yrs) & My Mother (50 Yrs) are leaving at village Atake Jadhav mala road.
