Ref.: electricity connection consumer no.[protected] area code 4734

Dear sir / madam,

I am currently residing at sai srishti chs in bhandup west, which is having electricity connection bearing consumer no.[protected], area code 4734. I was shocked to receive the current month bill (No. [protected]) for an amount of rs. 11, 460.00. My monthly electricity bill amounts generally range between rs.3000 to 3700 and consumption units 330 - 390. The bill for june 2020 is almost thrice the amount of my regular bills.

I investigated the matter from my side to find out the error and i noticed that the meter consumption unit for the current bill is excessively high compared to previous consumption units. Please refer the below table:

As you will notice there is clearly error in it. I therefore, kindly request you to correct the current bill and issue a fresh bill for the current month. Otherwise, please adjust the excess amount to be paid by me for the current incorrect bill amount in the next month’s bill amount and later.
I hope my complaint will be resolved as soon as possible.

    In the bill for may - 2020, the old reading was considered 10937 and an approximate unit for 136 units bill was charged. The corresponding amount rs. 1070 was paid within time.
    However in the month of june - 2020, again the old reading is considered 10937 and 375 units are charged based on the new reading of 11312. Hence the132 units charged in may month bill are again charged in june month bill. Since electric charges beyond 300 units are much higher, i request immediate correction of my june bill and refund the appropriate amount on an immediate basis.

    The same issue is seen in the bill for the march and april month bill. The march month bill has charges of 86 units from base unit 10621. The charges of 590 rs were paid on 6th april. Again in april the units were calculated from 10621... And this time 316 units were charged. Hence would need appropriate correction and refund of the amount from april bill.

    Hence an overall issue of 86 units in april bill and 132 units in june bill are charged duplicate.

      Over the last one year i have been getting an average electricity bill of 80 to 150 units depending on the season and use. Suddenly during june 2020 my electricity bill spiked to 947 units in one month!! When complained to mseb they provide no response or clarification on such a high bill and ask you to pay for it regardless.

        My consumer number[protected], my regular monthly electricity bill with reference to unit consumption is around 150 to 200 units, use to come rs 1000/-, you can check my history.
        Secondly i am regularly paying my electricity bills without fail, even during present covid 19 condition, check the records.
        Require immediate corrective action on my june electricity bill, which is 3 times more.
        Iam ex defence veteran on pension still paying the electricity bills, do intervene and refund extra wrongly billing amount.

            I have paid the electricity bill in every month since april2020 and in junre2020 itis again addition of all 3 months bill.
            This is additon of firat 2 monghs again.

              I refer to your bill no.[protected] dt[protected] for rs 22430/-
              I have a strong feeling the energy bill has been generated without taking actual meter reading. The bill is disproportionate to the actual power consumption. I would like to state before pointing out the factual positions before pointing out anomalies. I am a software professional and has been working from home since last almost a year i. E. Much before the declaration of the lock down declared by the government of maharashtra and government of india from 22nd march, 2020. The possibility of abnormal increase in power consumption is totally ruled out during lockdown period.
              My power consumption is on and average ranging from 250 units to maximum of 300 units except 525 units shown in june2019. My kitchen was under major renovation during 1st week of may2019 to first week of june 2019. The gas connection was disconnected. The electrical cookers were used for preparing food boiling milk and tea for almost a year. The power consumption was possibly doubled during the bill period of june 2019 bill. It is for this reasons the bill for june 2019 is 525 units as against average consumption ranging from 250 units to 300 units.
              I have been paying monthly energy bill regularly - the record is available for verification. Further, the computation of power bill is also incorrect even if you reading is assumed as correct. The no. O[censored]nits should have been accounted for while calculating each month bill before raising the same. As per payment history mentioned in your bill is as follows

              March. 14626. 238 - 1760

              April. 14626. 247 2720
              May. 14338. 247 3890

              You will observe from above the consumption for march 238 units and april 247 units whereas reading remains the same as consumption shown for march 238 units and april 247 units. The unit consumption for may is shown as 247 units where as amount of bill is rs. 3890 for may as against rs.2720 for april. The unit consumption has suddenly jumped to 2219 unit as against unit consumption on and average 250 units for the previous months – the rise is almost 9times. My basic complaint is against abnormal rise almost 9 times the normal average power consumption which has never exceeded beyond 300 units. It clearly indicates error in meter reading. I request you to depute your concerned executive for taking actual reading. I will pay the revised bill upon taking fresh reading immediately

                Issue is regarding the meter faulty and it has replace also in january of both the meter but we have paid the amount before the meter faulty it has not adjusted in present bill

                And not getting help from badlapur division billing desk we are going to our concern and billing desk is treated us like beggar... We have told them many times our complaint has been registered but they doesn't bother about thr complaint

                Telling on one sentence amhok yahi kaam hai kya... Kitne online complaint athe hai hum dyan nahi dethe. Billing desk madam has told us

                We esclated this matter to chairman of mseb in january and this we had shown to khadtare sir and jacky

                And belive on sunday mseb work is closed they had change the meter on sunday when we had complaint against jacky at that time..

                We want meeting with badlapur division with time and date to show the bill and evidence and want resolution from badlapur division offficer

                Because 1.5 year we try many times to meet them not get the possibility to meet them and want to share many feedbacks with them so it won't happen again and also won't happen to other customer

                Please sir tell us when they will meet to us regarding our both bill concern we just want to meet and show the proof

                Want meeting with badlapur division officer with time and date... We are at home ready to come in badlapur division office any time to get resolution from them

                      For last few months in my residents area the regular power cut in the early morning (Before sunrise) and again in the evening (After sunset) for around 4 to 5 minutes only sometime may be around 10 minutes.

                      I don't know what maintenance are you guys doing during that period. Due to this electricity fluctuation my many electronics devices has been badly effected got damaged due to which i incurred heavy loss of money in repairing those devices.

                      I am not demanding for compensation but i need a reply for this electricity fluctuation.

                        In this lockdown period mahavitaran electricity person not visited for bill generation. So they generated bills every month for average units taking consideration of past bills and units. So i paid every bills. There was no last meter reading mentioned on the bill. However in the month of june they calculated the last reading which was before lockdown and billed me for whole 3 months again which was a big amount. This is completely cheating/ scam by mahavitaran electricity board. They are looting public money in this worst situation.

                          Hello my consumer number is[protected] and my name is inarmal chauhan. This complain is regarding high bill charge in the month of june 2020. If you check my past bill on an average 600 to rs 700rs, but this month i got 2880rs which is but higher than an average, according to them unit reading price had been increased but it is increased in paisa not in rs. They shared unit utilisation of 504 unit. But through our life we haven't cross 210 unit.

                            The recent bill is being excessively charged for the month of june july 2020 for amount of ₹ 27660/-
                            Also the no. O[censored]nits consumed has also been excessively mentioned.

                            Kindly look into the matter for excessive light bill.

                              There is increase of in bill amount for the month of june 2020. Even the tariff is increased 4 times, how can anyone think of increasing the tariff in this pandemic.

                              I had raised complaint on mahavitran portal[protected] but received standard reply "bill is not subjected to any revision and the complaint was closed.

                              For the past 7-8 months, have never crossed 200 units. Now suddenly how can it cross 1100 units. The maximum bill i had received so far was 2050/- this month i have received 7750/-.

                              There is no due, i had paid my last bill for may as well. Even though i am getting this huge amount. There is serious issue with the mseb software wherein they are not able to correct it. No one had come to take the reading, it was averaged then it should have been 200 units.

                                Msedcl gives meter reading job to some agency, most of them are fraud operators. Bills don't come with the picture of meter reading.
                                Customer no :[protected], zone 4636 shangvi, pune.
                                Actual meter reading as on 10 th july 2020 at 11 am 2406 units.
                                Where as the bill received on 16 th june, payable by 8 th july shows meter reading of 15636 units as on 9 th june.
                                I have a sms from msedcl saying the meter read on 9 th july 2020 at 9.58 am 15861 units, if found wrong, i have to revert to 1912, the number you can never reach.

                                Can we call it a day light roberry method of msedcl to loot the innocent customers with a threat of power disconnection if bill not paid. Msedcl needs to be sued and the authorities made accountable for the poor administration. Why can't you go for smart meters, modem connected for remote meter reading instead of depending on scoundrals to read and report.
                                A frustrated customer. When will the good days come as the pm preaching.

                                    Mseb charged us tripple bill, during lockdown due to covid-19 period they can't take unit.
                                    They have different charges for unit count.
                                    They assume 108 average units in april and may month.
                                    During remove charges of overall unit capture in june bill they just remove rs.1296 and charged rs.3111 bill. We have same use of light in all month.

                                    Please assist us from mseb bill.

                                      Dear sir / madam,
                                      This is in line with the attached `bill details' which is downloaded from `mahadiscom' website.

                                      Please note that previous reading and current reading of months march 2020, april 2020 and may 2020 is same (12932) everywhere, and still units consumed is mentioned as 85 units per month. And we had paid for these 85 units every month.

                                      If last reading of march 2020 is noted as 12932 and msedcl is charging for 85 units, then obviously current reading should have mentioned as 12932+85=13017
                                      Based on above last reading of april 2020 should have been mentioned as 13017 and current reading should have been mentioned as 13017+85=13102
                                      Similarly, last reading of may2020 should have been mentioned as 13102 and current reading should have been mentioned as 13102+85=13187

                                      Hence, based on above details last reading on bill of june 2020 should be mentioned as 13187 and if current reading is noted as 13685 then total units consumed should be 13685 (Current reading) - 13187 (Previous reading) = 498 units.

                                      Whereas in bill of june 2020 also, it is showing current reading as12932 (Which is actually an old reading taken in february 2020).
                                      85 units each of march 2020, apr 2020 and may 2020 = 85x3 = total 255 units (For which we had paid time to time) are not deducted from june 2020 bill

                                      Hence, we request you to kindly update the bill of june 2020 based on above details and send us the revised bill at the earliest so that we can pay it immediately.

                                        We have received high electricity bill for the month of may 20. Meter reading taken on june 15. No o[censored]nits consumed have doubled this is not possible. We have people at home all the time lock down or no lock down. Fixed charges have also been charged twice in the bill. I request all consumers to check the fixed charges in there bills. Amount is rs 110 + 16% tax but if this done to all the consumers it is a big issue.
