Ihave booked a europe trip on 2015 aug with my brother subham puhan. As per their schedulethey have taken money i. E. 3lakhs 2 thosand from me saying to book europe trip they also took our visa. At the end moment they told that your visas are cancelled. And since 4years they are telling u will refund the money. Always when i call them they just make some excuse.

    Booking id-nn[protected] on makemytrip india.
    On 7th september 2019, i had made a round-trip flight booking from mumbai to mauritius with air mauritius via makemytrip india. The total amount paid to makemytrip india by me was rs. 41, 537 (Invoice photo attached).
    The total amount was debited from my account at this point.

    On 18th september 2019, at 8:39am (Ist), i received an email saying my flight cancellation request is submitted and refund of rs. 5423 is in process (Photo attached below). However, i had not requested for this cancellation. I am based in doha, qatar, and according to indian standard time 8:39am, it was 6:09am where i live when i received this email.in order for me to request for cancellation, i would have to log into makemytrip and enter an otp for the login, however, i had not logged into my account, nor did i receive any otp in my emails from makemytrip at that time.
    Attached below is a screenshot of my email inbox (From [protected]@rediffmail.com) where the first received otp from makemytrip on 18th september 2019 was at 9:53am qatar time (Ist: 12:23pm). As per the email sent to me, i have requested for the cancellation on 18th september 2019 at 6:09 am qatar time (Ist: 8:39am), however i could not have logged into my account without an otp. This proves i did not log into my account on 18th september 2019 before 9:53am qatar time (Ist: 12:23pm) and have not requested for this alleged cancellation of my flight tickets.

    When i called makemytrip india's helpline on 18th september 2019 and spoke to suman krishnan, i was not given any complaint id and the customer service refused to file a complaint on my behalf stating that this cancellation was done through a website or app, so they insisted it was done by me (Email photo attached). They even sent me an email the next day saying this issue is resolved and they are closing the case from their end! This email was sent from swagata (Email photo attached).

    On 21st september 2019, after waiting for their response from the higher authorities; i demanded for an ip address, date and time of the computer that requested the cancellation. I also provided all proof from my end with images and pdf files proving this cancellation was not requested from my side (Email photo attached).

    On 22nd september 2019, i received an email on [protected]@yahoo.com, stating that makemytrip will provide a refund of rs.15473 to my account. No explanation was provided on their end, and no refund tracking information or details were sent to me.

    On 23rd september 2019, i got a response from swagata stating there will be a refund of rs. 20, 876 processed to my account. There was no explanation for this random amount refunded, and she said there would be further validation needed to refund more amount (Email photo attached).

    On 25th september 2019, i received an email from sachari majumdar from makemytrip, saying that they will need another 24-48 hours to resolve my query (Email photo attached). I sent an email demanding explanations for the inconsistent refunded amounts to different emails and asked for proof of refund transactions (Email photo attached).
    However, i was not provided with any ip address, date, times of the computer that requested this cancellation.

    On 26th september 2019, sanchari briefly explained that rs.20, 876 was a total of rs.5423 and rs.15, 473 provided by makemytrip. There was no explanation given for the terms and conditions as to why these refund amounts were processed (Email photo attached)

    I responded to her email on 26th september 2019, stating my urgency to book another ticket as i have already made hotel bookings worth rs.80, 000 in mauritius and have taken leave from work. I requested for the full amount of my ticket refunded and to give me details about the ip address of the computer. Since makemytrip was taking this situation very lightly, i decided to investigate this situation myself and demanded for the ip address. (Email photo attached).

    I got a response from anamika sen on 27th september 2019, saying that they have requested a supervisor to call back (Email photo attached).

    On 27th september 2019, after i spoke to abhijit basu via a telephonic conversation, he said he would provide me with the ip address of the computer that requested the cancellation. I also asked him to send me phone numbers and emails of his seniors at makemytrip so i could escalate this fraudulent issue myself. He wasn't giving me any details via the telephone and said he would email all these details.
    I received an email from him on 27th september 2019, with the ip address and date and time of the cancellation request (Email photo attached). However, he failed to provide me any emails or phone numbers of the higher authorities at makemytrip india.

    According to the email, the ip address that requested the cancellation was 223.189.167.35, when i used geo location to track this ip address, i found that this ip address was based in jaipur, india (Photo attached).
    This proves i did not request for this cancellation, since i was in doha, qatar at the time of the cancellation. Nor did i receive any otp to log into my makemytrip account to proceed with this request (As explained above).

    On 28th september 2019, i received an email from karthik gujral from a different email of makemytrip stating he contacted my number but there was no response. (Email photo attached)
    On 29th september 2019, i sent an email to karthik gujral stating i had provided 3 phone numbers and none of them received any calls. (Email photo attached). He replied on 29th september 2019 stating he couldn't contact either of those numbers (Email photo attached). I did not receive any calls from unknown numbers and refuse to believe karthik had contacted all three numbers provided. All numbers are functioning and in service. I replied to him on 30th september 2019, asking him to stop providing false stories and work towards resolving my issue (Email photo attached).

    On 30th september 2019, i got an email asking for otp to change my password for my makemuttrip account. I have not requested to change my password for my account and have not logged into the account at all (Email photo attached). My account has either been hacked or this is a fraudulent activity or a system error from makemytrip. I did reply back to the email saying this wasn't requested by myself, however this email bounced back (Email photo attached). As usual, i did not receive any help regarding this suspicious activity from makemytrip.

    On 29th september 2019, i had also sent an email replying to abhijit basu saying the ip address he provided was not mine and this is a fraudulent activity with full details and proof (Email photo attached).
    However, i got no response from abhijit or any makemytrip employees regarding this email. After 5 whole days of waiting for abhijit's or any makemytrip' employee's response, i sent another email on 4th october 2019 demanding a reply for my previous email to abhijit basu (Email photo attached).

    On 5th october 2019, i received an email from karthik gujral stating their tech team has requested to go to cyber cell as they investigated this was a fraudulent activity taken place (Email photo attached). However, there was no mention of any refunds or my booking to be reinstated. What type of customer service is this, where no one compensates their customers in a fraudulent case? I responded to his email demanding a compensation as i had no fault in this activity (Email photo attached).

    I have continually asked for a full refund of my ticket or my booking reinstated asap, however makemytrip india has only delayed this procedure and failed to provide me with credible sources of information.

    It is currently 9th october 2019, and i still have not received a single rupee refunded from makemytrip india. They continually sent these refund emails without providing any refund reference id, so i couldn't track the refund with my bank as well. They claim that the refund has been processed, but have never provided any photo evidence or tracking number or details of the refund sent to my bank account.
    Furthermore, they have not provided me with any emails or phone numbers of higher authorities/supervisors/managers to escalate my problem. They are inconsistent with their emails and have the worst customer service.

    Makemytrip india has such a poor security system that allows anybody to log into their customers account bypassing the otp procedure, to go ahead and cancel someone's booking without any warning or otp or calls. They also have a poor customer service that delays the problems as opposed to compensating their customer with right information. I had requested for the ip address several days before it was provided to me, makemytrip refused to forge a complaint from my side even though i insisted.

    I am in a state o[censored]rgency as i am in loss of rs. 41, 537. This amount is irreplaceable and precious. I have already made hotel bookings in mauritius worth rs. 80, 000 and have taken leave from my job for this trip. It is highly important for me to book another round-trip flight tickets to mauritius as the prices of flight tickets are increasing day by day. Makemytrip india should not only refund my full amount of rs. 41, 537, but also bare the extra cost of
    My next flight booking. Or they should provide me another confirmed booking on the same dates and times with air mauritius.
    I have gone through a traumatic experience after this incident with makemytrip causing my stress levels to rise with their lack of solutions and inconsistent information provided.
    Please help me in fighting for my money and my rights as a consumer. Makemytrip should not take such serious issues lightly, where their customer is in loss of rs. 41, 537. They should be taught a lesson to increase their security system and strengthen their customer service so that other consumers don't have to go through this trauma.
    Please raise an issue with makemytrip india to help compensate me with a full refund or reinstate my booking on the same dates and times with air mauritius.

    I hope the indian consumer complaints forum will take action against makemytrip and help me in resolving this fraudulent issue.

      I had booked a hotel through makemytrip.com at guwahati. The name of the hotel is oyo flagship 28562 hotel fortune, vide booking id: nh7p[protected]. The hotel manager cancelled the booking & sold my booked room to other party at high cost. I had contacted to the customer care of makemytrip.com & they assured me to refund the excess amount that i had incurred in guwahati & i had sent the tax invoice & my bank details to the makemytrip.com. Still now i have not got the refund. Makemytrip is totally fradulent nature.

        I booked flights for 3 pax mumbai delhi 4th oct.
        Due to some emergency flights had to be cancelled.
        On contacting make my trip, agent advised the refund amount which was quite a lot taken away.
        I requested the staff to look at less cancellation she advised me to contact go air directly and cancel flights.

        I wasted 35 mins contacting airlines to cancel flights.
        Refund was sent back to make my trip.

        Staff never advised me that make my trip will still charge the fees no matter wherever cancellation done.
        Totally wrong information given and misguided

        My refund arrived on 29th sept in make my trip ac
        Till yesterday no one bothered to contact.
        How can a reputed co can keep customers funds for 9 days.
        If i don’t contac they will take my money.

        No trust
        Very bad customer service

          I booked bus ticket with correct date but due to technical fault mmt booked ticket for the same date without any confirmation before payment. Now no one is there to lodge a complaint for this. Deducted money and not ready to refund. I am not responsible for this. So i need my money back. Chat, email and toll free no services are completely useless.

          I will make it clear with date. I wanted to book my journey for 24th oct and i modified the date too. But mmt redirected to the payment page directly without confirming booking details. Money got deducted and my ticked booked for 8th oct i.e. the day i was booking my journey. So as i enter all the details and date correctly then why i got booking for 8th oct. And if i cancel it they will deduct my whole amount. I contacted bus operator. He disconnected my call. I tried to contact mmt via chat email and toll free no. Nothing responded to me. When i did not make mistake then why do i pay for the service which i did not used. It is completely unfair and this kind or irresponsible behaviour from brand like mmt is not negligible. I will not bear this loss. It's technical issue of mmt's site and a biggest loophole of not confirming booking details before payment. I want my money back. It's my hard earned money.             My makemy trip id: [protected]

            We have booked the flight ticket on[protected] form kolkata to visakhapatnam date of journey[protected] indigo flight and made through online payment successfully deducted amount of rs. 5295/- in our bank account, but ticket not generated and also amount not yet refund to our account.

            Hence we request you to kindly take immediate action and refund the not generated, not booked ticket amount of rs. 5, 295.00 (Rupees five thousand two hundred and ninety five only) on top priority.

            Treat the matter as most urgent...

              Ticketpnr: [protected]booking id: nh7p[protected] i had booked a hotel at guwahati through makemytrip.com. The hotel name is oyo flagship fortune hotel, at guwahati. But the hotel manger denied the booking & did not give us a room. The hotel manager provided the hotel to another party at a high price. I had contacted to oyo call centre & makemytrip.com csll centre but both of them denied to help us.
              MakeMyTrip India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
              MakeMyTrip is blocking customer’s booking amount unnecessarily for 7-10 days by saying Booking Couldn’t be Completed.
              You guys are cheating with your customer and I would recommend other booking platforms to book your tickets and hotels.
              This is not the first time of MMT to block my amount, they have blocked around 9000 rs in two days.
              I made my account in MMT but by filling my email id it shows that your email id is assosiated with some other account. Want to solution for this situation.

                I had made a booking on 8th september 2019 for trip to manali from delhi on 26th october 2019 but due to personal issue i had to cancel the trip and i informed about the trip cancellation to makemytrip 20 days in advance. I expected atleast partial refund of amount paid as it was paid in full and not in installments but this corrupt organization has no customer friendly policy. Certainly don't trust this company with your bookings. Had the booking included airfare then i could have understood that there was no refund but for bus and hotel booking also there is no partial refund shows how corrupt this company is.

                  We booked two rooms at hamirpur on dated 05.10.19 and the payment done through credit card.

                  Whenever we reached hotl the owner asked for further amount and conveyed that theier relations closed with oyo and not wanted to give room as per booking.

                  Makemy tyrip not help in this matter and we whole night suffered lot and no any singlr help not get from both oyo and makemy trip. We need to get the refund with penalty.

                  I booked the Hotel Amar Palace on Chandigarh through make my trip, stayed 22'nd Sep and check in at 23'rd as well. At the time I was make a good review regarding the hotel but on the list it's shown a false comments. So please change that review & please be give them 4 stars.

                    My airline had cancelled my flight from kolkata to pune. Makemytrip told me that my refund has been processed on 26th of september and i should be getting it within 3 working days. I didn't. When i contacted them, they told me i would surely get it by the 1st of oct. Again the deadline passed and i didn't get a dime in my account.
                    I contacted them again and they said that it would for sure reflect in my account by the 4th of oct. Today is the the 5th, and guess what, i still haven't got my money back.
                    This is sheer harassment and the amount is quite hefty.

                      Refund not received for the payment done for booking of the package for chikaldhara. Booking ifor the date 17. To 18 august s been cancelled by agent mob no [protected] and he mail me refund from make my trip portal
                      Booking done on help travel and above agent is responded and booked tour for 2 days to chikaldhara maharashtra.
                      After that booking is been cancelled on same date payment done by google pay ₹5590 and no refund received till date.

                        I booked an oyo hotel through makemytrip (Mmt) having booking id nh[protected] by playing the total amount in advance. But after reaching the hotel at 11:15 pm the hotelier said that rs. 646 is pending which i need to pay at hotel. The hotelier denied check-in unless i pay the pending amount upfront. I called up mmt customer service who told me to wait for 45 min. After traveling for the whole day i waited for almost an hour at the reception but no response from mmt. I called up again and they put me on line waiting for 35 mins. I finally gave up and paid rs. 646 at hotel to get myself checked in.
                        I would have made the booking through goibibo but due to attractive discount offer from mmt i booked through them. And ended up paying more due to cheating by mmt.
                        Mmt should be blacklisted and banned in india.

                          When i tried it showed cancel entire booking i again contacted customer care and informed them regarding this they assured me not to worry only second booking wil get cancelled and first wil remain same i did so and called customer care to add an extra guest to my previous booking i have been told hotel reservation desk is clsoe and u wil get a call from make my trip next day for additional guest info and charges
                          But yesterday i didn't got any call so i called customer support today i have been told my entire booking is been cancelled ur second booking refundable so you are getting that refund but first booking non refundable so won't get any refund if you want you can book other room again!
                          I wanted to talk to supervisor call was not been transferred and was been asked to wait for two hours for call from your side.
                          What kind of service is this?
                          Are there call centre representative are fully aware of functioning of services?
                          What should i do now?
                          Now my both booking cancelled not getting refund too
                          Whn i called customer care service n number of times
                          On 30 th oct i got confimatray mail from make my trip that my previous booking is confirmed and room reserved
                          But now again on 3 rd of oct i got mail your booking cancelled
                          I m not getting what to do

                            Hi,

                            This is regarding mmt travel finance option in my mmt app. Earlier i availed this facility for air ticketing however from the last 5-6 days i am trying to book a few tickets but on the payment page, the mmt finance option is not coming.

                            In the mobile app, i can see on the home screen it says "mmt travel finance exclusively for you" with a limit of 2 lacs.

                            I called your customer care for the same but it seems your agents are not informed about this product.

                            Please address this issue on an urgent basis.

                              I had booked a bus through make my trip id using net banking. I selected a seat and filled the details and proceeded to payment. And the amount rs 678 was debited from my account and atlast it says your payment was failure. I was in a hurry and i rebooked the same seat by above procedure and my payment rs 678 was successful. Make my trip send a message saying my money will be refunded but not yet refund. When i contacted the customer care they are not responding properly for it. My total amount debited from my account is 1356 but my fare is 678.

                                I had booked a bus through make my trip id using net banking. I had selected the seat number and filled my details amd proceeded it for payment. Firstly the amount 678 was deducted from my account and atlast it says your payment was failure. Am in a hurry so i rebooked the same seat by the above mentioned procedures and my payment was successful. I got a message from make my trip said that my refund is processing and it will be reflect on your bank account but the thing is the amount is not yet refunded and the customer care is not properly responding for the issue.

                                  Transaction of rs.4, 377.00 made on sbi credit card xx9836 without effecting add'nl factor of authentication mandated by rbi, at makemytrip india pvt l on 27 sep 19.

                                  The above msg received from my sbi credit card and i came to know that a fraud is being done from my credit card details uploaded in make my trip, for which i have not received any confirmation mail, sms nor app is showing any booking done by me. Who have done this? Kindly take immediate action against it and refund back my rs.4377/- in my a/c immediately. Also take security action.

                                    I want to delete ny account of mmt with the user name tiasha biswas, i have mailed you several times. Please tell your customer care to respond, i am too annoyed please do the needful, how much time should i wait for your reply?? I request you to keep an option of deletion in the website itself, otherwise it's problematic. My phone number concerning the account is [protected] and corresponding email i'd is same as that provided and registered in the website www.consumercomplaints.in with the user name shampa_burdwan. Please do the needful and not giving the deletion option is just like trapping a person who doesn't want to keep it anymore or facing issues with it.
                                    I don't want my complaint to be posted publicly.

                                      I booked a stay for 3 days at a hotel through make my trip paying entire booking amount in advance. Before 3 days of my travel, when i called at the hotel, i was informed the hotel management that the hotel was under renovation and they will not be able to provide me the premium category of room which i had booked. The hotelier also asked me to cancel the booking. However, to claim refund of the booking amount, i called to the make my trip helpline. I was asked to wait for 45 minutes. Then again i was asked to wait for 6 more hours and there is still no resolution yet. This is a highly disregarded and fraudulent approach from make my trip towards the customer. The hotelier himself admitted that the hotel is under renovation and he will not be able to provide us the category of room which we booked. Instead of taking the action against such careless approach of the hotel management, the customer is compelled to wait and request for his rightful refund repeatedly. Such instances taint the goodwill of a reputed brand like makemytrip and makes it less recommendatory. I have paid my entire booking amount in advance and the stay has not even started yet and hence, i seek refund of the entire booking amount. Kindly process the same as soon as possible because such a lethargic approach is a matter of sheer disappointment for loyal make my trip customers.
