Dear all,

Greetings!

I would like to bring to your notice the most humiliating experience i had to endure during my return journey from bali.

I and my 3 friends had booked our flight tickets to bali via makemytrip. The e-ticket showed that our luggage was included as 7 kgs (Cabin luggage) and 15 kgs (Cargo luggage).
We faced no issue while our journey from mumbai to bali on 15th sept 2019 (Flights: od-216 bom-kul and od-306 kul-dps).
But during our return journey on 20th sept 2019, when we tried boarding the flight od-174 (Dps-kul) scheduled at 12:45 pm; the ground staff told us that our luggage wasn't included. They even refused to acknowledge the data on e-ticket saying that it was the booking agency's fault. There was no option available for us and nobody was ready to help us. They told that we had to pay extra money for the luggage that we had. According to the indian currency, the payable amount was rs. 23690. We didn't have that huge amount with us in any currency.
Finally, after crying and requesting to lengths, they let us board the flight and asked to make the payment once we reached mumbai airport. And as we got out of our flight od-215 (Kul-bom), a guy from malindo's ground staff was waiting with a paper in his hands with our names on it. It was so humiliating when people were staring at us as if we had committed some crime. We paid rs. 23690 via the sbi card and got a receipt. But the entire incident killed our happiness of vacation. We went through such mental pressure and humiliation that honestly, i would never ever want to travel via malindo or book my tickets through makemytrip ever again.

For the first time, we four girls had gone on such a faraway trip trusting the airline and makemytrip. Had we known that you treat your passengers this way, we would have rather chosen some local destination.

I don't know whose fault was there in this whole thing, but i just want my money back. Instead of rushing to the consumer court, i first would want you to respond and justify the whole incident. I still have all the soft copies and e-mails which prove that the luggage was shown included and we were charged incorrectly. I request you to look into this and help us.

    We were booked to travel from chicago to new delhi on 8th september by ba0294 and ba0143. Due to pilots strike, our date was advanced to 5th september. After a week long exchange of messages and numerous international call to your gurgaon office. We were therefore forced to spend 3 days at delhi, inconveniencing us and adding to our costs, because our onward bookings out of delhi were on 10th september, based on our original booking. Our booking reference nos. Were nn[protected] and nn[protected]. We filed our detailed complaints on 9th september, but are yet receive any response to our claim

      I had done 2 flight bookings with 2 different booking ids on make my trip. When i received the tickets in email there was no information on cancellation charges. Also when i checked on mmt app few days later i could not check it on app either. Then on 12 sep 2019 i spoke to one of the agent on the mmt helpline number and after repeatedly confirming with him, he told me that the penalty will be around 7000 rs per ticket.

      However when visa got rejected and i actually cancelled the tickets on 22 sep 2019, the penalty levied was around 13000 rs per ticket. After escalating the issue, i did receive verbal and email confirmation from hassaan siddique and mayur lohar from mumbai office that indeed there was error in communication from the first agent i spoke to. The penalty charges informed me then were of date change and not cancellation. This was a huge mistake from mmt agent. I asked them to listen to the phone conversation i had with him wherein you will be able to check that i repeatedly enquired with him that it is ticket cancellation.

      Finally mayur ensured me that they would waive off mmt charges of 649 rs each ticket and give me vouchers of 2000 rs for both passengers. But i received only 1 voucher. I waited for another day and then wrote back to hassaan regarding this, to which i never recived any reply. And then they even resolved the ticket without confirming about the voucher.

      This was a collosal error from make my trip team. How as a consumer am i supposed to believe in whatever they said. Was the first agent correct or the second person was correct. Without any information on ticket or the app i have no way of knowing it. And the resolution offered was also not followed through.

      For compensation we are waiving off 649 which is mmt service charge for both the passenger & we are providing 2000 ftv for both the passenger.

      We apologize for whatever the information provided by our associate.

        My name is shireesha mekarthi and i have booked a flight ticket from hyderabad to halifax (Canada) for the day of september 13th. Usually make my trip displays whether the transit visa is required or not. For my flight itinerary they have confirmed me that there is no need of transit visa. To my surprise air india has asked the transit visa at hyderabad airport and does not allowed me to board the flight. Just because of make my trip and the wrong guidance they gave to me, my 57000 bucks got wasted. The next moment i have called to their customer care and the way they responded is disgusting. Every time i call to them different people answered and everyone has responded differently. One person will say that i will get the refund, another will say that they will come back to me after 2 days and some other will say that i will get refund for both tickets i. E, the one that was cancelled and for the new booking. At last they called me after following up for numerous times from my side and said that there is no mistake from make my trip side and it is totally my fault. Below are my booking details:

          Full payment ke baad bhi hotel me pnr no nahi show ho raha tha. 7 hrs wait karne ke baad bhi room nahi diya. Hotel blue moon jasola new delhi ki meri[protected] ki booking thi. Phir maine doosare hotel me check in kiya. Customer care me 15 -15 min tak call ko hold rakha gaya. Sabse badi baat maine baar baar bola ki sir apne son ke saath hu jo abhi bahut chhota hai. Aur mujhe uski comforts aur safety bhi dekhni hai. Mujhe baar baar false commitment mat kariye.

            I did my hotel booking on makemytrip.com and every i went to make the payment the booking date always got reset to the default date which was 27th sep, where as i wanted the booking for 9th oct. I would go back and again do the booking, i did this twice and finally saw that the date was 9th oct, however when i received the voucher it showed 27th sept, i immediately called the hotel itc grand ridge tirupati and told them that this has happened so pls change the booking date to 9rg oct, they asked me to talk to mmt, these mmt call center guys are indulging in day light robbery they said nothing can be done and i should cancel the booking. I have lost rs 6161/- on account of an issue with the date picker in mmt. I will never ever use them, not only are they cheats but they are also misusing our data which it takes at the time of registration. I would like all of you to be aware that this company, is no unicorn, but run by lumpen fraudsters, both their mgmt and leadership is full of deceitful folks. Thankx mmt for once helping me blacklist a portal.

              I just tried to book a ticket from patna to delhi using my citi bank credit card . after entering all the payment deatils and submitting .it showed message like below.

              Your transaction could not be processed!
              There is a problem connecting with the bank .tip: we recommend to use net banking or other debit/credit card to quickly complete your booking.
              We request you to try making the payment again.

              Although my amount got deducted by this process.

                I booked a hotel in Indore through the app by making the selection for 3 adults. When i went to the room selection page the 1st option said 'recommended for 3 adults' and at the bottom was the total amount with the caption 'for 3 adults' with the facility of 'quick book' on which I clicked and made the payment. Just before 1 week from my trip when i called up the hotel they said the booking is for 2 adults and 1 child and if the third person coming with you is an adult you will have to pay 1000+gst additional for each night.
                I rechecked by making the same settings of 3 adults again and tried to select the room for the same hotel again just to find out where did i make the mistake.. i found out that everywhere it is written in bold that the booking is for 3 adults even where the app was making the recommendation but there was an extremely tiny drawing of 2 blue adults 1 pink coloured small person in the middle which was put there to make fools out of people. Even where the quick book option is given with the amount, that was also saying 'for 3 adults'. That was a confirmation that it was not my fault.
                I contacted customer care multiple times, i sent them screenshots of the booking page multiple times but they keep transferring my case to different departments and everyone comes to only one conclusion of paying the extra amount.
                One of the customer care executive who tried the same booking through the app on my request by following the similar steps i following agreed on call with me that I am right, this is a technical fault from the app itself. That recording of the conversation would be available to MakeMyTrip as a proof as well. But since the day he agreed that its the app's fault I have not been able to speak with him and he has not contacted me too.
                Every other person who contacts me from MMT is trying to prove me a liar and keeps asking me to pay the extra amount.
                This is extremely unacceptable behaviour and high level fraud. I have screenshots that prove I am right and i didn't make any mistake while booking.

                      I would like to warn all the consumers regarding the serious problem that arise if one selects emi option for online booking from this site. First of all they will charge extra for emi option and also state no processing fees. I selected the option while booking id nn[protected] for mumbai-kathmandu-mumbai on 11th sept 2019. Till date no emi has been done on my icici card used for payment of rs 42292. When i contacted the bank, they ask me to contact this merchant. When i contacted makemytrip initially they told me contact the bank. This company will make you the surpanaka of ramayan when emi option is selected for payment. They seem to nothing about what is emi.in my case i had to convert the amount to emi by payment of 2% processing fees and interest @ 16% in view of the fault of the merchant not honouring emi payment. This merchant also overcharged rs 3230 for emi option selected and do not refund in spite their failure to honour the emi.
                      Above all the after sales is very poor mostly managed by a set of illiterates who do not seem to know what is emi option of payment and when it is converted. They will simply inform 15-20 days so that one keeps quiet for that period. Please 15-20 is working days. You do not know when they will work.

                        My name is rishabh roychowdhury and i have a loan through makemytrip using [protected]@gmail.com as the registered mail id.

                        Now this is to inform you that i have been incorrectly charged an extra amount of rs.10, 004 this month apart from the normal emi payment.

                        Kindly provide proper explanations for this incorrect charge otherwise we will be forced to stop authorizing payments to capital float starting from next month onwards.

                          I made an hotel booking from make my trip on 13-sep-2019 (Hotel name: oyo 46579 royal palace resort) for my check-in on 19-sep-2019.

                          Make my trip charged the total dues upfront & gave me an online confirmation stating that my booking is confirmed. To be double sure about my bookings, i called up at the hotel (Number was mentioned in e-ticked recieved from make my trip) & the hotel manager told me that they no longer have any tie-up with make my trip & oyo hence these bookings will not be entertained.

                          I immediately raised it to make my trip. After repeated follow-ups on their customer care, they came back on 16-sep & offered me a stay at different hotel which was no where matching (In terms of location as well as amenities) with the hotel i selected. I denied accepting this resolution.

                          They said they will check with their higher authorities & will come back to me within 1 hour to provide me a best solution. Again they vanished & i have to repeatedly chase them through phone & email.

                          On 18th sep (Just 12 hrs before my expected time of check-in), their customer delight representative called me (By that time i started my trip as i didn't wanted to spoil my family holidays because of this blunder by make my trip) & informed that neither they are able to provide me stay in the original hotel which i booked nor they are able to provide me any alternate stay with matching amenities.

                          They offered me a compensation against this failure on their part. I heard the compensation amount as rs. 3000 & agreed to it whereas they are saying that they mentioned the amount as rs. 1000.
                          When they sent me an email to seek my confirmation on compensation amount of rs. 1000, i immediately responded them that amount i heard over the phone was 3000 not 1000. However, they said they have mentioned compensation amount as 1000 & they can only compensate upto rs. 1000 only.

                          Considering the mental trauma / restless sleeps (Assume you are suppose to go for vacation in next 1 / 2days but your hotel booking is still not confirmed even though you have made the upfront payment) which i & my family have gone through & the additional amount i have to incur on a separate hotel, this rs. 1000 is not enough.

At the time of booking, it stated that if you find cheaper fare then we will reimburse 10 times the amount. After that i found that there was a lower fare available on another site. I called up makemytrip and asked them about the same and the best price guarantee. They told me about the terms and conditions wherein if you use any discount coupon code, you dont stand...

                              Dear sir,

                              I am following shiv yog life and try to attend shivers being organized in various cities of india. One such 9 day shiver was planned at hydrabad from 29th sep, 19 to 7th oct, 19. Therefore i planned to visit hydrabad and made flight reservation. For bhopal to hydrabad & return to bhopal by spice jet through makemytrip company at rs.7010/. While i checked my name was written as sunanda sunanda instead of sunanda chavhan. I requested makemytrip & also spicejet to varify my authentic id's and make correct the typographical mistake in ticket and or to take care of me to allow in flight. Both agencies ask to rebook the ticket and apply for refund but indicated that as per rule there may not be any refund to you.

                              I therefore booked another return ticked at rs. 6687/- with same flight sg-1267 & sg-1268.

                              However due to cancellation of the hydrabad shiver i have to cancel these return tickets also & i inform them immidiatey and applied for cancellation & refund of balance charges after deducting cancellation charges through email dtd 9th sep, 19. I have not been considered for refund of any amount by makemytrip or spice jet.

                              I request you to kinly take_up this matter with these 2 companies to compensate me suitably.

                              1. Regarding my booking id nf[protected] i wish to submit that my ticket was issued in the name of ‘sunanda sunanda`. Though the name was spelled correctly but written twice due to typographical mistake probably at your or spice jet or my end. I was asked by your office to cancel this ticket and rebook another. While i have booked another ticket, my this ticket amounting to rs. 7010/- issued with id nf[protected] may please be cancelled & after deducting the cancellation charges the balance amount be refunded to my account.

                              2. I booked another ticket through you makemytrip again with booking id nf[protected] to attend the shivir. It was informed that shivir event is cancelled. Therefore this ticket amouting to rs. 6687/- may also be cancelled & after deducting cancellation amount balance amount be refunded to my account.

                              I request you to please take an early action to refund the due amount to me.

                                Had made a booking on mmt for my anniversary from 21st nov till 23 nov 2019. This booking was covered under my doubleblack membership (Which they ask people to pay for) and also had free cancellation from the hotel till 20th november 2019. However, when i cancelled this booking on 12th september, to my horror only 218 rupees were credited back, however as per mmt they had processed refund of full amount of inr 8, 148. Upon contacting the support through chat i was told that i will get the balance amount is 24-48 hours. After waiting again and contacting them after 4 days i was told to wait another 24 hours and also was given an assurance that the refund amount will be credited the same day on 18th september. However, that also did not happen, upon calling them, i was told by customer support that the full refund has been credited to mycash wallet of mmt and the balance of my account that is around inr 8, 200. But i was able to see only inr 218 in the mycash wallet, and some amount in rewards bonus which was already there before this booking. After multiple time of telling this person that i cannot see this balance either in the app or website, this guy finally told me that maybe my email id and number is not verified so that is why this error is coming. All logic and common sense had already lost its way according to me as i have been using this email and number on mmt since more than 6-7 years. Infact, the doubleblack membership also is under the same ids. However, after still trying to tell them that everything is verified and i still cant see my refund, he took down a service request and promised a callback in 24 hours. After the expiry of 24 hours i contacted again and had gone through multiple long holds and explanations of the issue, i was told and promised by a lady that callback will happen by end of day on 19th sept. The callback never happened but late night around 11:30 pm i get a message saying that the issue has been resolved. I checked for the refund and by wallet balance, but no change was there. Again now at late night i called them up, this gentleman kept telling me that the mycash balance is over inr 8, 000, and i kept telling him that the app and website both show the balance to be around inr 218. Then, this person asked me for a screenshot my balance and promised a call back within 24 hours. I had shared the required screenshots on mails, but no callback happened. Again called them on 20th sept. Was again asked for a screenshot same story. Today, after over 11 days of the cancellation i finally got a call from mmt and they informed that they cannnot do anything about this since i had used mycash balance for this booking which i had earned through mmt rewards and which expire in 3 months. This amount was credited on 19 may 2019 and i used it within the expiration date on 19th august 2019. Total amount was utilized by me as per the policy stated by mmt. Now they tell me, that though i can cancel the booking and claim full refund but this amount will not be reflected as it has already expired. Firstly, that does not make sense as i have already utilized the amount. Secondly, at the time of cancellation this is not mentioned anywhere in the cancellation process, throughout i was made to believe that full refund will be credited. Thirdly, this policy is no where written on any mmt doubleblack membership cancellation or black membership usage terms and conditions. I has been a horrible journey to explain the entire ordeal again to mmt staff, they seem to only interested in defrauding the customers, through false schemes and promises.                                   I have asked delete my mmt account to mmt support. At first they told me it will be deleted soon and after several mails they told me that the account got deleted but when i try login, login was successful and was able to see my trips and all. Then i mailed the same saying account still exists but they stopped responding to my mails. I got fed up mailing them they are not responding. Please do something about this issue.

                                    I have created 3 mmt accounts accidentally. That's why whenever i am trying to attach email id to the account i use, it's saying email i'd is already in use. Kindly help to delete my 2 accounts. One with my mobile number. One with email ids i use. I want to delete the accounts which are associated with my email id.                                       My money got deducted on 19th september when i was booking a hotel and till now i do not get the refund. I contacted mmt customer care, they told me that the booking was failed due to some technical issues when i asked about my money they suggested me to contact to the bank. But the bank told me that they could not do anything as the payment was done using the upi of the mmt. Now whom to contact to get my money back?
