Cancellation of ticket without my consent

My ticket was cancelled without my consent by your employee.

As I have asked to cancel only one way which was from Visakhapatanm -- Bangalore (return journey),

MAKEMYTRIP support team has cancelled my roundtrip journey (including Bangalore -- Visakhapatnam ).

Due to that I had to take another ticket on my journey date which cost me Rs.3300.

I want a refund of Rs3300 which cost...

Dear Sir/Madam, I did my booking on 11th December from customer executive of MakeMyTrip for international travel from Chennai-London-Chicago-Kansas for 7th Jan with Booking ID IN1512B7S140432. While booking, I was said that cancellation charges would be around Rs-6500(including everything). Later due to some reason when I cancelled the ticket they charged me Rs-9500 which is Rs-3000 more than they told while booking. Now when I call customer support they say that you will get a call from MakeMyTrip within 4 hours but till now I didn't get any call from them. And after that my ordeal started I generated around 6 reference IDs and was told each time that will verify and the refund process would be initiated. It's been really taxing on my side to follow up with the customer care executives as they keep you on hold for so long . I request you to please look into the matter and please refund me back the balance amount. I even have an audio clip of customer executive saying the amount of cancellation charges while booking during a call.

    When I booked my holiday through make my trip I expected some thing wonderful. But all I got was a shocking experience. On the first day it self I come to know my flight from mumbai to kochi was booked in cheaper fair without baggage. That means I have to pay extra 400Rs. Per bag.
    That was not the end I get one more shock at my house boat I am forced to pay extra 750Rs. The house boat owner abuses me by saying that you should book a premium house boat. He thirteens me to pay or leave the house boat 9.30pm at night. It was a horrible experience. I thought I had booked a 3 star house boat.
    I had booked this holiday 2 months in advance with a hope to get a better deal but as I compared with the hotel rates the day on which I was staying. You have taken a very high price. From this I learned a lesson never in my whole life I will book any holiday with make my trip or advice any of my friends to book holiday through you. I call you office many times but they don't care.

        Refund not given i booked ticket on 23rd nov 2015 for travel on 12th dec and 14th dec from Bangalore to Bhopal too and fro which costed 11955 rs

        i cancelled the ticket on 8th dec as per airlines rule prior 4 days of cancellation i should get refund of ticket amount deducting some tax and some fees but i just got refund of 1100 rs saying that my ticket falls under some category which cnt be refunded and makemytrip said airline jet airways is not refunding it. i tried all customer care and all but unable to get the refund an they kept on denying it

            I have cancelled this booking on 1st of Dec for both side journey.
            Travel Date : 1st Dec & 15th Dec

            Booking costed me 11000+ and they refunded me around 750.

            I know as I cancelled first side ticket post departure so that was non-refundable(so they explained it is the tax refund for first side).

            Now what about the refund for return ticket which I cancelled well in advance? (Booked for 5500 +)

              I, with my family members, had to attend family function to be celebrated in Goa on 16.01.2016 and accordingly planned in advance booking of air tickets from your company and paid Rs.36000/- through my credit card. I, along with other family members, reached Airport on 15.01.2016 to catch Indigo Flight 6E-399 and in the process of getting Boarding Pass, I was shocked and stunned to know from the counter executive that all our four tickets has been cancelled. I immediately contacted over phone to your customer care to know the factual position and was surprised to know that our tickets were cancelled on 05.11.2015 whereas I did not initiated for cancellation of tickets.

              As I and my family members had to attend pre-planned family function in Goa on 16.01.2016, I was left with no alternative except to purchase four tickets immediately from Indigo Airline to take flight on the same day (15.01.2016) from Delhi to Goa and return for 17.1.2016 under Booking Reference no. H6EWPS with CONFIRMED status. It is pertinent to mention here that I got four tickets to & fro in the same flight as originally booked on 23.06.2015 & 26.06.2015 and paid Rs.60700/- through my credit card. In all, these four tickets costed me Rs.96700/-(36000+60700) by your fault.

              Your act of cancellation of ticket at your own has caused me additional financial expenses beside harassment, inconvenience, embarrassment, mental agony etc. I herby lodge my claim to indemnify me for financial loss, harassment, inconvenience, embarrassment, mental agony etc immediately failing which I will be free to initiate appropriate action for your such unauthorized act. I am being compelled to lodge written complaint with you after non receipt of any response against tele complaint lodged with your customer care cell on 20.01.16 (Vasu) and 22.01.16.

              In reference to your complaint please be noted that, we have checked your case with our technical team and found that both booking id’s i.e. NF[protected] & NF[protected] has been cancelled online on 5th November for which we have send email & SMS notification on registered email id [protected]@yahoo.com & on [protected]. Also the cancellation request was being raised by this I.P Address - 117.198.120.161, based on which we have processed refund on your bookings.
              Further we need to ask you that if same was not cancelled by the respective user or by you, then why we were not being contacted between 5th November - till 15th January 2016 as we send you SMS and email notifications.
              Now as a solution part we have already refunded INR 13590/- on ID NF[protected] & INR 13590/- on NF[protected] which we have received from the airlines side. Also would request you to kindly complaint with Cyber cell based on the above mentioned I.P address as this cancellation has not been done from MMT side.

              Reg: Auto cancellation of Air Tickets – c1217099
              Pl. refer my online complaint dated 24.01.2016 against Auto Cancellation of Air Tickets at your end, which was booked by me vide Booking ID no. NF[protected] date 23.06.2015 and NF[protected] date 26.06.2015. The said complaint was acknowledged by your good office online on 26.01.2016. While acknowledging and responding my complaint partly on 31.01.16 at 10:20, you have informed of having processed for refund of Rs. 10804 each against aforesaid Booking IDs. But on the same day, I was again informed over mail dated 31.01.16 at 21:53 of having credited my account by amount of Rs.13590/- against NF[protected] and Rs. 13590/- against NF[protected] received from Airline as solution to the complaint. In both the above discrepant messages, you have not made any mention of account no. where credit is given.
              The auto cancellation of Air Ticket was initiated by you which one cannot expect even in dream. By your this unauthorized act and fault, I was put to embarrassment on the date of journey and even have to suffer burden of additional financial expenses for purchase of fresh air tickets in the same flight by payment of higher price. I am shocked and disappointed by your solution ignoring the contents of my complaint.
              I once again request you to consider my complaint by indemnifying me additional financial expenses of Rs.60700/- incurred by me at the spot for purchase of fresh Air tickets, with interest @ 18% from date of purchase of ticket (15.01.2016) till the final payment. I hereby lodge my claim for Rs.200000/- (Rs. Two Lac only) also for indemnifying me for your unauthorized act causing me harassment, inconvenience, embarrassment, mental agony etc.
              Looking forward for your early response and solution within seven days failing which I will be compelled to initiate legal action by filing complaint in District Consumer Court, Delhi at your risk, responsibility, cost and expense.

                    I ahve booked my tcikets in October 2015 and again cancelled in October itself but i have got the refund back on credit card till date.

                    Too bad, , , pathetic people... no repsonce from team even after committment of 7 days for refind to be done.

                      I booked a ticket with FLYDF coupon code which entails me to receive 1200 cashback within 21 days of booking. But when I did not get this cashback I asked customer care about the delay and get an answer that booking through website is not eligible for cashback, even though the terms and conditions mention that desktop booking is eligible and I even got confirmation snapshot (see attached) with the offer getting applied to my booking. This is very disappointing that such a large and reputed organization is not following fair deals.

                        We had booked a "SeaLife" cruise for our halong bay cruise during our stay in Vietnam. But the cruise which we boarded was a 3rd rate cruise whose rooms did not have proper locks and bathroom was stinking. Worst part is we were not even informed about this. We raised this concern with MakeMyTrip over email but there has been no affective response till then. It already been 20 days since we are following. We feel cheated as we had spent a lot on the cruise which was supposed to be a wonderful experience but it turned out to be worst nigthmare.

                        We are really expecting MakeMyTrip to consider this and give us complete refund of our cruise. This is the only way we can regain back our confidence on MakeMyTrip.

                          I booked a hotel for stay (9 & 10 Feb'16) on 25th Dec'15 thru make my trip website for my honeymoon trip. Hotel confirmation was received on 25th Dec'15. After 11 days MMT person is calling & saying that hotel is not confirmed.

                          All my other related bookings are in trouble on a HONEYMOON TRIP.
                          Not willing to pay for changes on local sight seeing tours...

                          I have encountered a real issue due to MMT only and I have been complaining the same to get a resolution starting from 1 Jan to till today. Everyday I have called them and wasted so many hours behind writing and calling them, and they thought that only their time is precious and they will bluff everybody everyday and will tell others to be professional and to keep quite. I have sent the below mail on 3 Jan and have been calling them from 1 Jan and on call, each time they have promised me to call me within 15 minutes or 4 hours or 24 hours or 48 hours. Nobody is taking any action. Neither I am getting any resolution not I have been able to reach higher management. Shame on MMT.                           It's regarding Booking ID: NH[protected].

                          I have family of 4 (including 2 children) and we decided to go to Agra on 1 Jan. Also decided to book hotel through the reputed site makemytrip and after lot of research, as per my requirement, I booked hotel Love Kush in Agra on 31 Dec for 1 Jan (1N, 2D). Before booking I called the hotel to confirm the number of beds I required as my son is 14 years and daughter is 5 years, and one lady told me to book for 3 adults. I also told her that I would be going there on 1 Jan and she welcomed me. Finally I got the booking confirmation mail from MMT.

                          I stay at Noida and I took a cab for the trip. When I reached the hotel at 8PM, as soon as I dropped from the car, one person came to me and asked my name, and then told me not to drop from the car as I have to go to another hotel which is a kilometer away. I was utterly surprised by this and he informed me that their rooms were already sold out before 22 Dec. If this was the fact, neither you nor the hotel guys informed me.

                          I used MMT to book Love Kush hotel as per my requirement after lot of research. I have not used both MMT and Love Kush to book any random hotel for me.

                          Ok. You can't imagine how crowded Agra was in this new year. So I didn't take any risk and went to the other hotel and it was 3 kilometers away from the prime area and it was in a remote area. They gave me one comparatively smaller sized room with a double bed and the three walls were damp. So I requested to change the room and they gave another room which was of same kind. As in the new year night I can't take risk with my family, specially with 2 children, I decided to pass the night in this room. I talked to this hotel guys regarding the damp and they told me that renovation work was going on and I saw some rooms open for renovation work. It might be the fact that they gave me that kind of room due to compulsion. The hotel room was really bad, but I don't have any complaint against them as I have not booked this hotel. (might be this hotel is of this kind).

                          I called the manager Mr Abhishek of Love Kush 6 times till midnight and each time he promised me to visit me within 5 minutes, but he never appeared and he told me that he was in a party, and probably he was drunk too. So I left all hope and had to pass the night in the alternate hotel.

                          In the alternate hotel which is in a kind of remote area, they didn't provide mineral water (Love Kush was supposed to supply) and the extra bed. At midnight, I requested them to arrange something as we are 4 and we booked for 3 adults. How can 4 people accommodate in a standard double bed? So they brought one torn mattress to set on the floor (please note it), but ultimately due to no space in the room, I dropped this idea. Finally, I had to pass the whole night sitting on the chair. Can you imagine this harassment? This was my new year celebration. In the morning I left the hotel and in the noon, my driver took my bag from the hotel.

                          So how can the hotel Love Kush do this this? The alternate hotel guys told me that the hotel Love Kush is full of thieves and of this kind hotel and this is their standard practice.

                          What I want:
                          1. Full refund for my booking.
                          2. A compensation cheque of Rs 10000 (it was my cab cost) for my harassment and mental agony I have gone through.
                          3. Take punitive action against Love Kush and remove this hotel from MakeMyTrip portal.

                          Whenever I recall the 1 Jan night, I get scared. I hope you won't force me to take further steps.

                                Dear Sir/Madam, I did my booking from make my trip website for domestic air travel return Mumbai- Amritsar-Mumbai on the 24th December, 2015 for 26th December and return for 27th December but by mistake clicked on 27th January, 2016 for return Journey. Thereby i tried to cancel the ticket but it did not happen as the server was slow so i called up the customer care whereby i was told that the total cancellation charges for the return journey would be Rs1800+Rs300+Rs 200(offline cancellation charges) for which i gave a go ahead instruction and got the ticket cancelled. After cancellation i received a mail mentioning that the refund of Rs3480 had been credited to the credit card where as the amount told to me by the customer care executive was Rs.9180. I then immediately called back the toll free number and i was told that the balance amount would be reflected in 2-3 days time.
                                And after that my ordeal started i generated around 16 reference IDs and was told each time that the refund process has been initiated and the accounts have cleared my refund and the amount would be transferred to my account in 2-3 days.
                                And finally on Monday 18th Jan i got a refund of meagre amount of Rs 900 instead of Rs9180.
                                Its been really taxing on my side to follow up with the customer care executives as they keep you on hold for so long .
                                I request you to please look into the matter and please refund me back the balance amount.

                                  I am regularly complaining about my cashback and have told them I did in all 5 bookings and got cashback in 4 bookings but in one booking they have not given cashback of Rs 1500. They say you did not apply deal code. I told them that i did all 5 bookings very carefully and hence requesting them for rs 1500 cashback of booking id NF[protected]. Now they have blocked my email id and have given me tension of my life due to which my relation has become sour with person whose credit card i used for booking ( in which they have to credit back rs 1500). Instead of all this plead they have blocked me from registering complain on their service portal . I dont know where to ask for help for a customer who did as much as five bookings and is now treated like this.

                                  Sir please do not give vague anf hasty answers even for cashback in first booking I had to write mail and only after that you gave cashback. Also I am not Mr Sharma hence you are manipulating me now and this mail is proof itself. Further I have proof statement of that person whose credit card was used. By me as he was in front of me and MakeMyTrip is making my relation sour with him by not Giving my cashback. Also I made in all 5 bookings and in 4 bookings I successfully got cashback but this is left. Also ur toll free no. Is waste of time, no representative available. Last option is consumer court as That amount is outstanding on that credit card. so request you to be gentle and morally good. Pls read my mail again. Dear sir, pls go through my previously as below as I assure you that in all bookings deal code has been applied successfully and proof for that is that you have given cashback in all bookings except the last one. Also please note that the booking was made in front of the person who owns that credit card and he also reminded me today that I have applied deal code. Even he remembers that. Further if you see below number of bookings you may realise that all bookings were made only after reviewing your offer. Hence please expedite that cashback and also go through below mail and please do not let me down as my relation due to MakeMy trip may become sour with that person from whom I booked this trip.

                                  I assure you that I have succesfully applied the deal code at the time of booking (pls see the no. of bookings i did as below) since I had made in all a total of 2 flight tickets ( 2 person each ) and 3 hotel bookings from different citi bank cards and have sucesfully got the cashback for all bookings except this, hence request you to please expedite my cashback as I have an outstanding amount against that credit card which shall be paid by me only after receipt of cashback from Make My trip to respective citibank credit card account.                                     BRIEF
                                    MakeMyTrip Charged me for a Return Ticket from Mumbai-Delhi-Mumbai but just before boarding time, at the airport, GoAir refused to issue Boarding pass as my PNR did not appear in their system. It was important for me to leave for Mumbai on 16th Jan 2016 by the 8.40 pm flight. For this fiasco, I was forced to bear an additional cost of a new ticket as makemytrip refused to do anything immediately to rectify the situation and GoAir said they could only issue a new ticket. This is aside from the amount of mental harassment and stress they caused by their behaviour. Makemytrip Customer Centre person, a Mr.Rahul (rahul.[protected]@makemytrip.com) stated that they will get back to my complaint within 48 hrs (Complaint #[protected] but the time is up and there has been no response or action at all.

                                    THE BOOKING DETAILS
                                    On 7th Januray, I booked a return flight through Makemytrip Mumbai-Delhi-Mumbai. MakeMyTrip Booking ID -NF[protected]; Invoice No. NF25898. MMT charged me Rs.7622/- including Rs.400/- as convenience fee. (Ticket and Invoice attached). Both the Mum-Del and Del-Mum legs had the same PNR 5Z7SQL. I had made part payment of this through Credit card and part payment by redeeming some Payback points.

                                    THE FIASCO
                                    On 13th January, I flew to Delhi without any hassle on the above PNR. On 16th January, 1 hour before the flight, the GoAir desk (a polite and trying-to-be-helpful Ms.Ranita) stated that the PNR 5Z7SQL was not there in their bookings for the Mumbai 8.40pm flight. Further, that that my name was listed under the Cancelled Tickets list on a ‘different’ PNR, VK1EA5 with the comments ‘Balance Due, Auto Cancelled’. I was taken aback and insisted that she probe on this. First she tried to send me off to a MMT counter outside the Departure gate to sort it out. But that was closed. Their Back Office confirmed that PNR 5Z&SQL was unlisted as they had not received payment from MMT thereby shrugging any responsibility of error on their end. Only solution they could offer was to buy a new ticket (of a higher cost) Rs.4372.

                                    Meanwhile I called MMT Customer Service, who was extremely unhelpful, put me on hold forever and refused to connect to his superior or furnish a useful email id except a ‘[protected]@makemytrip.com’. Both MMT and GoAir were passing the buck to each other (Mr.Rahul and Ms.Ranita), refusing that the error was on their end without due checking. Ms. Ranita informed me that they had an exactly identical case the previous week with another passenger booked through MMT. Finally after 45 min-1 hour of badgering for action, the MMT person stated that he will raise a complaint but actually did not as he could not give me the Complaint ID when asked. Only then he raised the Complaint ID[protected] stating ‘Website Issue’. (Email Attached) I pushed him to tell me what action I should expect. He verbally responded that I will get a call back on this matter within 48 hours and that ‘if the fault was on their end, they will refund the cost of the ticket’ When asked who will pay for the trouble caused to the consumer, I was then told that MMT will pay back the cost difference of ticket. Eventually I had to buy a new ticket from GoAir (thankfully the flight was delayed by 30 mins) for which I had to pay again last minute.

                                    Overall this was an extremely harrowing experience. My money Rs.3811 is stuck with either MMT or GoAir who are both conveniently passing the buck between each other, blaming each others technical systems at the backend for the error.

                                    As a customer who flies extremely often, I am expecting quick action and resolution and advise extreme caution in using such travel agents and airline services for your travel.

                                    Received another email from MMT chandan.[protected]@makemytrip.com that they will revert in 2 days. Another 48 hours.

                                    And of course, that they regret the inconvinience. Absurd.

                                    Let's see how many 48 hours they will take before they return my hard earned money or before I end up posting this everywhere else.
