I had booked a trip (hotel and flight booking was done separately) where I was informed that there is a cash back post applying a code APPFEST, for my flight booking I got a cash back in my make my trip wallet however for my hotel booking I called the cust services who informed to me that cash back will be processed in 21 working days in my credit card. Post I availed my trip I was informed that this offer was not available on sbi card. post lot of arguments I manage to speak to the supervisor a lady, who informed to me she will listen to the call and will get back to me, which she hasn't. I again called the cust service and the advisor named abuishek refused to pass the call to the supervisor and trfd me back to the ivr . I called again and then manage to speak to the supervisor named mohit who transferred the call to his manager Kumar who assured me that they will listen to all the calls and resolve the issue by Wednesday . I get a call from mohit on Tuesday without any concrete outcome and investigation and asked me for some more time . I am not sure whats happening till now I have not recd a call from kumar .Its a fraud company looks like fooling the cust. I also have a text confirming cashback will be processed in 21 days post my booking . nh[protected]

    Greetings,

    This is specific to the booking which I had made with Lemontree hotels, HYD on 31st Jan 2016.
    After booking, I had initiated the cancellation for this booking within a few hours.

    The website had an option of cancellation which I initiated. After waiting for about a week, the Make my trip website claims that I will not receive any amount back whatsoever.
    I am quite shocked as this was not clearly outlined on website. Upon calling makemytrip, I am told that it was at the discretion of the hotel as they might have received the payment already.

    I humbly request a refund back for the amount which I have made for the following reasons :-

    1) There is no service offered to me for the amount of 6963 Rs I have made.
    2) If there is no money being offered, what does cancellation mean?
    3) On the website it says you can cancel you booking by logging on to the Customer section of our website. This is exactly what I did.

    This is hard earned money which we have used on the site. Personally for me this is the second negative incident with Makemytrip and I reach out to you for your help.

      Dear Respected authorities,

      I would like to bring to your notice the fraud and cheating I am currently undergoing with Make My trip website. I had booked a round trip ticket from London (LHR) to Chennai (MAA) on 14th October 2015 for my travel dates on 11th December 2015 for a total amount of 74903 INR. I had taken my onward journey from LHR to MAA as per itinerary and had to cancel my return ticket due to unavoidable circumstances. I had cancelled my return ticket online through make my trip website and received a cancellation acknowledgement for an amount of Rs.34328 to be refunded in the next 5 days. I made the cancellation on 27th December 2015 with the reference id IN1512R7S294150. I had been following up with the customer care team from then on my refund status and its been almost 3 months I haven't received my refund back from Make my trip. I had spend hours of time speaking with these customer care professionals and tired of raising service request/complaints in their portals which they directly close marking as resolved without even providing comments. The customer care team members even after explaining the whole background to every person who attends the call gives a dumb reply please wait for another 48 hrs. I had crossed many 48 hrs and totally into mental agony and financial crisis due to the stress factor speaking to these people who try to loot my hard earned money without even showing any professionalism in their service. I would want them to pay me back my refund amount which they owe me along with the interest incurred for these days from the date of cancellation request.

      I had also spoken with the airlines directly and they had given a confirmation that the amount has been refunded back to your agent.

        Hi Team, I cancelled my 23rd Nov ticket under booking ID: NF[protected] in the month of November month on makemytrip portal but after several call to customer care and several mail reminder, I didn't get my refund amount of Rs 1, 617 from make my trip even though air India has already refunded the amount to make my trip but make my trip is not refunding my amount. I really frustrated from make my trip because now whenever I call to make my trip support center their system always is in upgratation mode and they don't call back to me also. Please help me get my money back to make my trip and a strong action has to be taken against make my trip for cheating the customer.

          Initially my friend referred me to download the make my trip app and I got 500/ in my walley but could not use it all on the first flight.

          I was allowed to claim only 200/- when I had 500/ in my wallet.


          Later I booked another ticket using code 2016 to get 2016/- in my mmt wallet.

          The TnC initially read that 2016/- will be credited in 20 days and I would be allowed to use 500/ per flight.
          But then I tried booking the next flight, I could claim only 249/- and not 500/-

          Trying today again I can redeem 198/-

          What a good way of fooling innocent customers. Why do lure people to get good cashback and later do not let them use it. You expect me to book flights worth lacs to get a 2016 /- cashback.

          I am gonna spread a bad word on facebook and you know how well the word of mouth works!

            Dear sir,
            Iam a regular customer booking my flight through your esteemed organisation. Please note my latest booking cok auh Nairobi and accra. I arrived Nairobi airport pm local time my next connection is following day 9am that means I have to spend 19 hours transit in the airport. As per my good understanding airlines should provide accommodation but no information about my accommodation or any assistance when I contacted itihad airlines and kenyan airlines. They advise I have to obtain visa and arrange myself for accommodation and transport.
            Any way I decided to spent pride launch by Kenyan airlines 40 usd up to midnight and another 40 usd for re entry 5am.
            Please let me know who is responsible for my accommodation ? Etihad or kenyan airlines ? Iam very much disapointed and embarrassed myself regret badly. I will not book or use your site once again if you reply with sensible or reasonable reason where is the fault ?who mis manage with my itenary and consider to hang around Nairobi airport 19 good hours !!! Please reply.

              I booked a hotel via makemytrip(Booking ID: NH[protected], they took money and even got SMS and mail saying its confirmed, I traveled around 300 plus kilometer with my family to reach the hotel, then hotel guys says rooms are not there, when I showed the SMS and mail to hotel, they say deal with makemytrip guys, when I called customer care guys, they kept on putting me on hold, and eventually call used to get terminated, so every time I had to call customer care and repeat the same story but no body has a solution, finally someone told me they are going to put the issue to specialized team and they will give me an alternative with in 20 minutes, I waited for more than an hour in front of the hotel and traveled back 300 plus kilometers on the same day.while speaking to customer care they were very eager to refund, for that I need to cancel/initiate refund for my booking which will close the case, which also means they haven''t done any mistake.! Later I got know that hotel guys cancelled my booking and makemytrip folks didn''t bother to inform me.! I lodged a compliant in makemytrip(Reference ID:[[protected]]), they were supposed to resolve this issue within 72 hours, weeks passed by no body called me. Finally I called them and their solution was we will refund your money. Just wondering how careless they are, they made me to travel so far to find no booking even though its confirmed, on top of that they are not ready to accept their mistake and take appropriate action. My money is still hanging there I wont initiate refund, still looking for consumer court procedure to sue makemytrip. This is simply not acceptable, their attitude is I am refunding your money sorry rooms were not there. Just wondering why the hell they send a mail with a big font saying "YOUR BOOKING IS CONFIRMED" what does it mean.?

                Following are the problems we have faced during the trip:

                1. The trip was organized for 6 days and 5 nights but effectively its only for 4 days and five nights. On 2 Jan 2016 (Saturday) we reached Delhi airport around 9:00 for Mumbai flight and we reached Mumbai at 12:50. At Mumbai Airport, we wasted our full day for connecting flight. Afterward we took flight at 16:50 for Kerala and finally reached 7:00 evening. First day was totally waste.

                2. As per the package, there was private JCT House boat for last day but the condition of booked JCT House boat was too worst, dirty and stinky. Then MMT personnel (Mr. James) informed me to switched to Big grouped house boat as it was cleaned. It was planned by MMT to switch all the couple to group JCT to cut the cost of individual JCT. Please find the attached pictures of personal JCT.

                3. The hotels and House boat shown in Itinerary was good but final booked hotels and House boat were not as per the itinerary (double tariff rate difference).

                4. On last day, House boat operators asked us for checkout at 8:30 morning because they have other bookings, while all the hotels and House boats check-out timings are 12 noon.

                5. After that driver dropped us on airport at 11 morning, while we had flight at 7:20 evening. We faced lot of problems at Kerala airport. Airport authority did not allowed us to enter in airport premises before 5:20 as per rules. We were helpless and waited outside the airport premises along-with our luggage. Last day was totally waste and full of harassment.

                6. We have not visited the Tata Tea Museum as mentioned in itinerary.

                7. Although MMT (Make My Trip) have provided the following items as per itinerary but all are the height of cheapness:

                Chocolates : Two chocolates (MRP Rs. 5 mentioned on wrapper )
                Pastry: Two small pastries ( price around Rs. 10)

                The tour was unplanned & mismanaged and there was too short time for site viewing and rest in hotels. In totality it was the wastage of time and money

                  Greetings.

                  I am a artist by profession and travel a lot and stay in resorts.

                  I used to use go ibibo in the past. my assistant asked me to try make my trip. I installed a app today and booked a resort in karnataka for 3days. I was happy. the service and the hospitality was awesome.

                  however my assistant also said if I refer to my friends and if they install and open the app I get 600 rs per refferel. I reffered 2 of my friends and they installed and opened the app. but 1200rs is still not credited to my wallet. your customer care ex told it will receive in 24 hours and I will get a reply from you. but still did not receive any reply. I called the customer care 8 times. they say they are not responsible and they give rubbish reason. I also sent email to [protected]@makemytrip.com twice. forget about the referral amount. they are least bothered even to reply. the biggest cheaters ever. atleast go ibibo credits go cash immediately and never had to call them. hopeless customer service.

                    I had made a hotel booking with makemytrip in November and was due to recieve a cashback by December 4th. However, despite multiple follow-up mails and calls, there has been no response from the company. They have duped thousands of customers by advertising cashback on their website, which never happened.

                    Same thing happened to me. They were supposed to give cashback of 600 on each of my 20 bookings ( Rs 12000 cashback)within 10 days of checkout, and still haven't received a single penny let alone Rs 12000. I have called their customer care service and even written emails to resolve the issue but got no response from them. I'd say stay away from that cheater company.

                      For international ticket due to the change in my travel date i have cancelled it. The refunded money is credited to make my trip wallet which cannot be used for the single booking. We can only use 10% of wallet balance.They have set expiry date for that.Now the expiry date is over and the money deducted from wallet account.I lost my all money.

                      When I booked the ticket the money is paid from my bank account. But when I cancel the ticket why the hell they credit into make my trip wallet account.it is ridiculous. This is all business staertegy and not to provide any services to customers. I want my money which is detcuted from my wallet on 26 th Jan 2016. Make my trip is complete responsible to give this money back. During cancellation they have already taken some money.Apart from that this is one more game they have played. When I contact customer care no response at all. Every time some one will pick the call and explain some stories. Not the correct way to trouble the customers. I have been with make my trip since 2010. I believe they will provide better services but with this incident I totally disappointed.

                        Makemytrip has a very complicated, inefficient and customer unhealthy policy of managing flight cancellations.
                        We were due to travel from Srinagar to Delhi on a single stop Air India flight booked with them and the flight from Srinagar to Jammu got cancelled due to fog. We tried our level best to get a confirmation of the same from makemytrip but ended up talking to several poorly informed customer care executives until one of them advised us to cancel our tickets from the app stating 'inoperational flights' as a reason. Since status onthe app also showed the flight as cancelled, we followed the instructions.
                        Ever since, we have been chasing the flights makemytrip for our refunds - they have refunded us a lousy 600 on bookings that cost us 7000 in the first place and they explained us this saying:
                        "We regret to inform you that the airline is unable to provide us with the flight/cancellation status (over the phone); hence, we request you to provide us the stamped document with the applicable refund amount mentioned by them.
                        As the PNR is passed dated the airline will not be providing refund on our claim without the stamp document from the passenger. You can get the document from nearest airline city office or airport counter."
                        WHILE MAKEMYTRIP INTERACTS WITH AIRLINES ON A FREQUENT BASIS, THEY WANT YOU TO NOW DO THEIR JOB AS THE AIRLINE IS NOT PICKING UP!!! CALL THEM AGAIN OR GO TO THEIR OFFICE - ITS YOUR JOB !!! ITS INSANE TO INCONVENIENCE SOME 100+ CUSTOMERS TO EACH GET A STAMPED DOCUMENT FOR ESTABLISHING SOMETHING THAT IS NOT IN THE GREY ZONE!!
                        HOW COME YOU CAN UPDATE THE APP WITH FLIGHT STATUS BUT NOW YOU NEED 100 STAMPED DOCUMENTS FROM THE AIRLINES TO PROVE IT!!!
                        PNR, IN THIS CASE, IS PAST DATED AS MAKEMYTRIP TAKES AN AGE TO RESPOND TO CUSTOMER QUERIES.

                          We have made booking through Makemytrip online for international travel and makemytrip has promised a cashback of 5000per ticket, and now they give it as bonus and put terms and conditions on use.
                          Not only that, they also put a condition that through one email id only one cashback will be given whereas everytime we applied the coupon code, it accepted and promised to give us a cashback.
                          this is clearly a case of cheating and fraud.Terms and conditions were not initially put on the site and we have made booking worth 70thousand.
                          Kindly help against these people as we are stuck with our money blocked in the hands of these fraudulent people.
                          It is not correct that the issue tickets saying "congratulations, coupon code applied" everytime we make booking and then do not give cashback.

                            We have cancelled the flight on 21st Jan, 2016 because there was more than 3 hours of delay from the scheduled time. When we have cancelled the ticket it was showing full refund as per the rule. As per the conversation with Airlne(Airasia), they have processed with full amount refund and given the CAS ID.

                            We are following up with makemytrip for last 10 days but never got any satisfactory answers. We would have called more than 20 times but sometimes we are put on hold for so long duration, or promised to get the amount within 24 hours, 48 hours etc.

                            Talked to supervisors(as they have claimed) of makemytrip but all in vain. Now, nothing worked so makemytrip started to get the stamped document from airline. First of all, is it a customer'd duty to struggle so much, just to get his/her money back.

                            We have contacted airline also, but they are not ready to give any written mail or stamped document. So, what should i do in such case? When it is clear, the flight has been cancelled and I have provided the CAS id given by airline for refund amount, Why cant makemytrip return my money.Is it not makemytrip duty to refund even they can see it as a valid case.

                            One person from makemytrip told me that your full amount has been processed, we can see in the system. One says we are not able to see. I am very very much disappointed with the response from makemytrip side. It is your responsibiity to refund the customer money or follow up with airline. I have all call recording from makemytrip where they have told my full money will get refunded within 24 hours and still not been done.

                              Greetings from MakeMyTrip!!!

                              In reference to your complaint, we have validated your case with our concerned department and with the airline. As confirmed by the airline the flight on 9-Jan-16 was cancelled from airline’s end at the very last moment and they have provided options to passenger either to get full refund against the booking or to make changes for any other date without paying any extra cost. Passenger has opted to travel on 11-Jan-16 and airline has confirmed his booking for the new date without any extra cost. Now, on 11-Jan-16 passenger did not board the flight and has become no-show. In this case airline does not provide full refund because passenger has already opted for a date change earlier. Accordingly, we have initiated a refund of Inr 683/- with no-show penalties.

                                I want to bring into your kind notice that I made 4 bookings on 19th January 2016, out of which 3 were successful but 1 of them wasn't.

                                Mentioned above are the details of the unsuccessful booking ID. I called your customer support team on 20th Jan, 2016 and was advised to wait for 3 working days for the money to be credited back to my account. The advised three days are over and the money hasn't been refunded to me.

                                All the bookings have been made through this email id. I want the refund to my bank account for the amount deducted for the unsuccessful booking.

                                I had already registered a complaint with makemytrip on 25th January, 2016 and the Reference ID for the same is :[protected]. Despite the complaint being made I haven't received the refund. On calling and inquiring about the same from your pathetic customer service agents, I was asked to send my Account Statement again and I am doing the same here. The reference ID for the second complaint is[protected]. Please find the account statement from 19th Jan, 2016 till 28th Jan, 2016 attached with the mail.

                                I hope this will help you process the refund back to my bank account without making any more excuses for your failure to do so.

                                I am sorry to say this but the standard of service expected from a brand like yours is much higher but you have failed time and again to keep up to those standards. Please have this issue resolved at the earliest.

                                  Booking ID: NF[protected], ticket number[protected] and PNR number is JEQRV. I cancelled ticket on 31st Dec 2015 and spoke to Ravi Kumar their support person who sent email for confirming same. Till now no refund has come. Now they are saying ticket has not been cancelled. Airline line says ticket has been cancelled and they are waiting for refund request from company.

                                      My id of booking is in1511b6s030607, booked trip to darjiling and gangtok for 6 days with rs 69, 999 rs.
                                      The flight to bagdogra get cancelled, we called to makemytrip for alternative by train, but they said "we can not do anything for this case you have to go yourself to the destination, we can not do anything abt flight alternative or can not support to reach" also the person of make my trip "sohaib pathan" and "manisha" from accounts dept suggested to cancel the trip and will inform the refund.
                                      From delhi airport i returned to my home, and i got mail of trip cancellation with refund of only 20, 000 rs. Thi cancellation refund amount did not informed to me and cancelled my trip themself.
                                      Now i called to sohaib pathan and manisha, but since 7 days continuously they give same answers "we sent mail abt refund we will get back to you" but no one will call back abt th complaint.

                                      I lost my 50, 000 rs in this trip, where i called to the hotels they give full refund to makemytrip by hotels sumit herritage at gangtok and darjiling, also spice jet gave all refund amount.

                                      After this complaint I received only 6000 Rs as the Refund Amount.

                                      Please verify that I have paid 69999 Rs for the trip. and I have received only 26000 as refund till now.

                                      Also when I called to your Customer office for the details of refund, all will say that I will send you. But I have not received any mail about the details as where the money is deducted by you.

                                      I would like to say that you have not provided any service when I was in trouble at Delhi airport, no any alternate way was given to reach destination, you can verify the call details also.

                                      Spice jet and all the Hotels gave full refund amount to you, then why you have not given me the refund amount which you have received. also whenever I ask this question that where the money is deducted No one is answering also no any details shared. I got call from the Sumit Heritage Hotel and he told they have gived full Refund amount to Make My trip and you will receive from them.

                                      Also I got SMS from SPice jet that the Full amount is refund as it was mistake by them. So why I have received only 26000 Rs amount as refund ? (I paid 69999 Rs for Trip) where all Money goes?? why I have not received any Refund till now????

                                      I called from Airport when i was stuck at middle of airport and flight was cancelled.

                                      I called to Make My trip agenet 20-25 times. I got answer that he will assist me forward how to go in 2-3 hours.

                                      Then After last he told me that he can not guide, or can not even book a train ticket to reach, not even a return ticket to home.

                                      I know that even if there is mistake of Make my Trip that they dont sent the e ticket, they will definitely cut the Amount which you paid to bok the ticket, and you will surely get a negligible amount by saying that its Rule of MakemyTrip that they will not pay after the date even if mistake is by MakeMyTrip. Thats what I saw many Times. You will also Experience the same now.

                                        I had booked a Mum- Hyd Return ticket Jan 30, 2016 - Feb 2, 2016 for two passengers including myself. Makemytrip intitated the CANCELLATION without any authorization and the refund is under process.

                                        I checked with the airline( Spicejet) as well and they confirmed the cancellation is initiated at Makemytrip only.

                                        When I first learned of this problem, I contacted the customer care at your company, and was told that I will have to wait for 48 hours for the resolution. I believe that this response is unfair because my travel is scheduled in next 36 hours. I would like a written statement explaining your company's position and what you will do about my complaint.

                                        I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible to resolve this problem. I am hopeful I will not have to resort to appropriate consumer agencies and consider my legal alternatives. I may be contacted at the below mentioned email address and phone number.
