Please find below the chain of conversation (One_sided) that i had with mmt thinking someone would reply

-we have been to manali for our honeymoon and this is the room you guys have provided us with even after specifically asking for 3 star category hotels. Pfb images of the hotel room attached. After speaking to you guys continuously for three hour in freezing temperatures, we went ahead and booked other hotel for our stay in manali. And after 5 days we received a call from supervisor- sudeep kumar and we have had a chat with him regarding refund of our stay. He said to mail all bills and images so that he will look into the matter and do the needful. And the same was shared at [email][protected]@makemytrip.com[/email] from the mail id mentioned above. My demand for refund is 12 thousand i.E. 9000 for the hotel charges and rest 3000 for honeymoon inclusions. We also tried to attach the same below ( both hotel pics and refund bills) but i guess it only attaches one file. Request you as well to look into the matter and make the refund at the earliest possible. In case any further clarification is required regarding bills and stay in manali, you can directly contact the hotel guys on the telephone numbers mentioned in the below attached bills. Many thanks

And after this, it was all one sided conversation which was really frustrating pfb

-could you please let us know what is the status on the refund? Its been long time since we got any update from you guys on this. All we get to know from you is that some department is working on it. And as per your previous mails, we have even written to the mail id mentioned by you ([protected]@makemytrip.com), but we didnt get any response on that so far. Please let us know by when can we hear from you and if not we will atleast take this matter to social media and consumer court as we have all the evidence needed. (Recorded phone conversations, hotel pics, bills etc..). Numer of times customer has tried:10

-this is heights! Boss what kind of service do you guys provide to your customers? Seriously this was not at all expected from mmt. I dont think even these escalations are doing any good on our part. All i do is i escalate the matter and it stays in that list for few days and the most annoying part is that they move it to resolved category. Awesome. Do you guys at least care for your customers or you speak to them till your job is done and let them go to hell? Could you please let us know what is the status on the refund?     Hi Team,

    I have raised 2-3 requests and called make my trip customer care atleast ten times to avail LTA certificate. It is hardly one day job to extract details verify and provide certificate but from last 15 days I have no response. I need my LTA certificate with amount split and IATA number on an urgent basis. I need to submit before 22 March due to year end closure.

    The service request raised in not with L1 team, I have escalated to management and surprisingly no response from management as well.

      I had booked a ticket for a flight from Delhi to Guwahati on 20Mar using the app. However even after making the payment the page asking for passenger details did not appear and now my ticket is booked in an unknown name. May I request you to change the booking in my name or ensure that my full amount is refunded immediately so that I can book a fresh ticket. My name is Rita Deb and the ticket is booked in the name of Arti Yadav. My id no is NF[protected] and my ticket no is 015MEY1KM for flight number I52875.

      In reference to your complaint, we have validated your case with our technical team and found that customer has entered passenger name as Ms. Arti Yadav and accordingly the booking was made. We have technical booking logs available for all online bookings which shows all the steps taken by customer online while making the booking. This is not a fault from our end and refund of Inr 6470/- has been processed after deducting applicable cancellation charges. We thank you for contacting us.

        Hi,

        With reference to the mail below, I have been running between airfrance & cleartrip to get my refund on compassionate grounds.Air france says i need to check with cleartrip & cleartrip says viceversa. Cleartrip has to take the onus when i had booked the ticket through you.

        Can some one check this & provide a resolution & credit the refund to the original payment method at the earliest.

        We would like to inform you that, a Refund Application (RA) has been issued with the Airline, however the RA is not yet authorized by them. Hence, the refund is still pending with the Airline and our team is checking with the airline for the same.

        Please note, the RA procedure takes 40 - 45 working days. Once the refund is authorized by the airline the applicable amount shall be processed within 10-14 working days from our end to the same account which was used while making the payment, depending on the issuing bank.

          I paid an amount of Rs 2756 on 07 February 2016 through PNB net banking to online travel agency Make My Trip account for an online transaction. That online transaction was not successful. But the amount of Rs 2756 was credited to Make My Trip account. Make my trip did not refund this amount to my bank account till date despite making requests repeatedly.

            I have faced the following problem for booking id nf[protected] using the flynow code.
            Have not recieved the cashback of 1200 .

            Now contacting with the mmt customer care (Which is absolutely rubbish).They till me that it was not valid for icici bank .They have altered the t&c in their add and now sending me that link which does not contain icici bank .


            Asusers of this forum like mr.Vaibhav chowdhary rightly point out(In another complaint) the archives are telling a completely different story (Clearly mentioned on all tuesdays applicable to icici bank), than the one mmt is projecting .


            It is clear that mmt has altered and forging the t & c in their adds to decieve the customers now.
            Its a big scam . They are not fulfilling the cashback promise and making a fool out of all o[censored]s .

            The mistake has been made on their part and they are not ready to accept it . Instead they are blaming the general public for not reading the t&c .So many people will not make the same mistake (This forum itself has about 10 users posting the same complaint)

            As already pointed out the customer service is absolutely useless .They say that it is not valid on icici bank transactions .
            Let us hypothetically assume that you are telling the truth ( which you are not ) :-

            Could you care to explain why the coupon code got applied successfully when i was doing the transaction with a bank ( which you say was not eligible for the cashback ) ?
            In my common experience i have noted that whenever i try to apply a coupon which does not have the offer valid for the bank through which i do my transaction, it clearly gives me an error message stating that the offer is not valid for the bank through which i am doing my transaction !!!

            Had you been telling the truth, i would have got that message, instead i got a message of the coupon being successfully applied.

              Booked North East tour for 3 adults. Full payment was made on 2nd March. No acknowledgement has been made till date. Our trip starts on 25th March, yet no air tickets, hotel vouchers have been issued. While making bookings your executives call up like pests.
              While delivering however, make my trip fails to keep any of it's commitments.

                I tried to modify my booked flight on 18 th feb. Make my trip had to charge me rs. 3012/- for trip modification, which i paid through my mobikwik wallet.

                This transaction failed and i called up the customer care, they promised that refund would be provided in maximum 5 working days

                I am still waiting for refund and it is nearly a month now. I am regularly following up with them through email and phone but everytime i send an email i just get some assurance and they request for some more time

                As per the email that i just received, they have requested for some more time till 19th march.

                  Hi i booked my package of 49000 on 21feb but as i strted my trvlng i got d nws f haryana riots on my way to delhi cz of dt i canclld my package .i got a mail frm trip site to gt my refund within 3 wrkng days .many times i called to customer care too thy gave me 10 days time but now 21 days over but havnt got a single penny f refund .customer care ppl r giving me further dates only .got many mails regarding refunding money showing dat refund is in process from last 3 wks .plz help me m very upset n confused

                    Hi,

                    I booked Leisure Inn category room in Leisure Inn Grand Chanakya Hotel Jaipur from MakeMyTrip.com on 15 Dec 2016 but they provided me Standard room. When I asked Hotel staff about refund the remaining amount they asked me to contact MakeMyTrip as I had booked from MakeyMyTrip.com and when I called MakeMyTrip customer care they said they can not do anything in it. I don't understand who can help me with it. I also registered complaint on MakeMyTrip but they just sent an email that they will give me 500 Rs voucher. I don't want that voucher I want my money refunded. I paid extra money for Leisure In Category room but they provided me standard room. I want my amount refund as I didn't got what I paid for and they cheated.

                      I booked my Holiday trip with Make my trip. I paid the amount 55, 000 for the trip and used the cash back code 'APPFEST'. As per the code I am supposed to get the 3, 000 rs cash back. But after the trip 'make my trip' denied to pay the amount. I have send several mails to consumer care but not getting any reply.
                      I have proofs with me about the code and the reply from the Make my trip.

                        I booked a ticket (Ticket No. NF[protected] through Makemytrip under a promotion of HTLFLT offer with a cashback of 1200 (which goes to wallet). As per the terms, in case of cancellation, cashback will be deducted from wallet.

                        Unfortunately, airlines cancelled the flight because of technical reasons so I had to cancel my ticket at Makemytrip. But to my shock, MMT has deducted 1200 cashback from my refund. And now, when I ask for my money back, they refuse to do so.

                        This is very unethical of these people and their whole cashback scheme is a fraud.

Please note that as we have investigated the issue, please note that as per terms and conditions, once the cashback amount credited in your account and then if you cancel any booking, then refund is always get processed after deduction of airline penalties and after the deduction of cash back amount, but as you are a valuable customer to us. we are initiating the refund for INR 1200/- .

                          After checkin, as flight was late, I cancelled ticket for AirIndia flight at airport itself from Jodhpur to Delhi on 8th Jan 2016. Only Rs 322 have been refunded. Before cancellation Air India staff confirmed that I am entitled for FULL REFUND.
                          As ticket was booked thru MMT, I have been following up since then, full refund not given except Rs322.
                          As I paid money to MMT, I should get full refund immediately. Though many many comlaints but last complaint no. is[protected].

                            Pl. have a look at the dates below since last 3 to 4 months Makemytrip is unable to reply me. Such a ridiculous services from Makemytrip.

                            I hope consumer complaint can do something about this. There is a cancellation of Flight for 1 sector and i am not getting refund of that sector.

                            If i do not get a support from Consumercomplaint department i will go on complaining to higher authorities also and keep on doing this as makemytrip is not responding me for the refund of cancellation of flights.

                            FURTHER SIR PLEASE ASK MAKEMYTRIP to remove Mr.NITIN SAINI as he is not attending to any of his customer as we just put on hold for 30 minutes if we ask them to transfer the phone to him and junior persons do not able to resolve the problems….

                              We are getting a very poor response from Makemytrip and they put us on hold and do not allow us to speak to their HODs. I had called their office for 3 times and they put me on hold for 30 minutes. Since last 3 months i am not getting a response for cancellation refund due to flight cancellation and they just keep on mentioning that they are speaking to airlines. I can not mention the dates of incidents as there are so many dates i have been following up and also today i called them for 4 times and they just kept me on hold when i asked them to speak their HOD they just put us to such a extension so long time and nobody comes on the line. Mr.Nitin Saini so called International Ticketing department head is behaving such how makemytrip is showing Indias first travel company...

Today on 28th March i have made more then 35 calls to Makemytrip support and sometimes i waited for more then 75 minutes to go to the right person and final result is no conclusion. So please MMT go ahead and prove yourself that you really take care of the customer...

                                I registered a hotel in Shirdi for date 26th dec to 27th dec 2015 in hotel sai seema on 24 dec( Booking ID: NH[protected].

                                I also got a confirmation from makemytrip. Aftre a day I called hotel to verify confirmation and address and they reverted me back with rejection of reservation.

                                Hence I panicked and called MakeMyTrip and explain the situation(Raised ticket :[protected] MMT assured me to and whole day tried to reserve a room for me as it was a issue from makemytrip. They have not confirmed from hotel.

                                Then after I called MakeMyTrip few times and they told me to reserve room on my own and send payment receipt to you and MTM will bare the cost for me as it was genuine misguide from makemytrip to customer. I completely lost my faith for makemytrip for a time.

                                Hence I have attached receipt of hotel room booking. Please revert me asap.

                                Now MMT is not giving refund. Just tossing me from one department to another. It became haptic to explain complete situation to every customer executive and all I hear is we are working on it.. or we have transferred your complain to appropriate department.

                                  "your hotel booking nh[protected] for le pondy check-in 06 mar 2016 for 1 night 1 room (Lake view room) is confirmed. Please show this sms at the time of check-in." - this is the text that i got from make my trip... On the 5th march

                                  When i booked this room in the makemytrip app the app said it cost me inr3684 and it said 1 room 2 guests.. It used a coupon which started with "htl.." but when i got to le pondy the receptionist shows me a mail which says the booking is for one guest and i have to pay extra for my wife inr1300+taxes. My trouble does not stop there, when i try to reach the customer service they are absolutely curt and when asked to talk to a manager they just keep transferring me to one agent to another without any empathy and they hang up on me, i had to call them up 3 times wasting precious time of my holiday... I particularly remember one name of a female, sharmishta... She cut my call twice when i said i want to talk to manager... It's embarrassing for me to take my wife on a getaway and get treated like this.
                                  The problem that i have with makemytrip is:
                                  1. Malicious marketing practices where the company does not specify the number of guests the offer is applicable to (Please take a look at the message on top, it only says 1 room, 1 night, does not specify the number of guests) and the customer has to be shocked to know that he has to shell out extra money
                                  2. Bad customer service - lack of empathy shown by the call center agents, utter disregard for the situation that i found myself in and kept transferring me from one agent to another. I'm sure they are working like this under the instructions by their manager. I would want him/her to be taken to task, especially an agent named sharmishta

                                  Desirable resolution for this incident would be just refund my holiday expense for all the stress that makemytrip caused

                                      1. As per the terms I was not expected to pay any entry fees for any visit, but I had to pay entry fees at Ross Island since no MMT representative was available there and i had to pay from my pocket.
                                      2. No MMT Representative was availabe at Neil Island to receive us and we had to wait for almost half an hour in sun without any information.
                                      Every time vehicle was proivided after 5-7 calls and no initiative was taken by your Andaman/Port Blair counterpart to provide services in time as per the itinerary framed by you resulting into loss of my time and inconvinience to my family and kid.
                                      Local sightseeing at POrt Blair was fixed for MOnday although it must be known to you and it is your responsibility to check that all monuments/places are closed on Mondays.
