Bangalore to kolkata (13th November, 2014, 6.50 pm flight), PNR# for my Flt 6E378 : YYW69Q. I had collected the boarding pass and submitted my luggage at around 5.45 pm. I was told to go to first floor gate 12. I went up and saw many people waiting. Since I was a first time traveller so I asked a staff(a boy dressed in shirt and trouser and having an id card) if I had arrived at the right place to wait. He told me I could wait there until my name will be announced. So I sat waiting. When my name was not announced by 6.30 pm I got up and went towards gate 12. At 6.33 pm I was standing right in front of gate 12 still waiting for name to be announced. At last when there was no announcements made at all I went to the staff person near the gate to inquire at 6.40pm. To my utter shock, she (her name is liji) told me that my flight has departed! I kept asking her how could the flight depart 10 mins prior to the departure time, it was just not possible. I asked her how could you leave a passenger who had collected her boarding pass 1 hr back without even waiting for a min. As per the rule for any passenger who has collected the boarding pass on time, the staffs are supossed to wait for atleast 5 to 10 mins. She told me they waited for me for 10 mins! I was shocked. I immediately asked when the flight departure time is 6.50 and you say that you waited for 10 mins then how is it possible that at 6.40 pm the flight has already departed! Miss liji behaved very indifferently to me. Since it was really urgent for me to board the flight I almost begged her to allow me in. But she behaved quite rudely and kept saying that the flight had departed and she can not do anything about it. I then told her to call the manager. Instead she said I could take you to the manager. I kept asking her to hurry up while we walked but she walked casually ignoring my words. When I met the manager (her name is Shilpa h r) I explained her the incident. After listening she very casually told that it was my fault and they cannot help me in any way. I kept on asking her how can it be my fault...how can the flight depart prior to the actual departure time without even informing the passenger, to which she did not reply. She told me that the rule for announcements to the passengers have been stopped at the airport 2 months back. I was not ready to believe this there are no airports where announcements are not made. She also told me that the staffs had tried calling me. But since I did not receive any call I showed her my call log. Then she asked me to wait a min. She came back telling me there was no call made. My very obvious question was how could the flight depart without announcement or a call to the customer that too before time. Then after a min she told the staff had tried calling me but my phone was switched off. I asked her to show me her call log. After some 5 to 10 mins she showed me a screen shot of the call. It was made once at 6.34 pm ! I immediately asked her if as per them they do not allow any passenger to board 20 mins prior to the departure then why did they try calling me so late! She obviously did not have any answer to this. Then I asked her to call her head. She kept telling me that she herself was the head and nobody was above her. When she was not at all listening to any of my concerns I asked her for the last time if she is going to tell me who the terminal head was or should I take the help of a police. She casually replied saying you are free to call the police. I went to the police and asked him about the terminal head. I explained everything to the terminal head. He said it was wrong on the side of the indigo staffs to do this but said he cannot enforce upon them anything but can only request them to make some arrangements for me. At last after the intervention of the terminal head, Miss Shilpa called her head. I explained her the problem. Though she did not behave rudely but she also said that they will not be able to help since it was my fault. I told her that I was travelling alone and was just 3 days old to the city. I had checked out from the place I had accomodation and was absolutely helpless to go any where at that time! Even after seeing such a state of mine she did not show any sign of help to me. I even made her talk to my brother explaining my problem. She said there was no other flight to Kolkata that night, the next earliest flight was at 6.35 the next morning and that I would have to pay for fresh booking of the ticket( it was 15k flight as per her). I clearly told her that the mistake was from your side and obviously I should not be the one who has to bear this loss. After a long argument she agreed to book me for the next flight without any extra charges. But still the problem was not solved. I was completely new to the city. I had travelled 3 hrs from e city to the airport. I had checked out from the place i had been staying. I had no place to go and no where to stay. I told her that she is also liable to make arrangements for my accomodation to which her reply was : sorry mam we can't make arrangements for that, we arranged you the tickets as a favour! Just because we considered that you are a girl travelling alone so we did the ticket arrangements for you! I was shocked ! Even after all the drama she was still not ready to accept her fault huh! I directly told her that they were not doing any favour to me, it was clear that they are at fault and that is why it was there duty to do so. At last I had to spend the whole night at the airport alone and on an half empty stomach. I did not get proper dinner outside, had to eat something light and even then i had to spend quite a lot since the food at airport is quite costly. I was literally shivering in cold at night. I had no warm clothes I could put on, at last I had to buy myself coffee (which I otherwise avoid) from ccd at the terminal to make myself warm. I demand an explanation to the inconvenience caused to me by the indigo attendant. Is this the kind of service you people provide to the passengers. Do you really expect me to ever go for indigo airlines in the future! Highly unsatisfied!

    Hi, This is regard to incident [B]id: [[protected]][/B] which was raised last month to refund the full amount since the return flight was cancelled after many delays. We escalated this to every possible extent via all the channels (costumer care, emails, complaints L1, L2, L3 ) but there is no response from makemytrip on this pending incident. Booking ID - NF[protected] Booking cost - 15642 INR (Round trip Delhi-Pune) Pending Refund amount - Rs 8000 INR Booking date: 13 Sep, 2014 Travel Date: 10 Oct, 2014 (Return Flight) Airline PNR: HTMC3 Eticket number: 098 [protected] We have a confirmation from Airline for full refund since the flight had delayed many times.       Friends, I have stopped complaining against MakeMyTrip because it does no good. The only way to teach lessons to such businesses is by not doing any business with them. I travel frequently, mostly internationally & thought o[censored]sing MakeMyTrip as my travel agency. But after two bad experiences, I decided to ditch MMT. MMT often charge customers a lot more than what the airline ticket costs them. Legally, they cannot do that. Travel agents can only charge you additional reservation fees which are typically in the range 250 or 500 INR. The invoice price that you get from MMT should match the invoice price with airline. This can be easily obtained from the airline using the 6 character booking code. I had two instances where MMT charged me 15K - 20K more than the airline invoice price. I had to fight back with MMT to get the refund. After that I decided not to do business with MMT. After my experience, I have been using Expedia.co.in. I have travelled multiple times domestically & 10+ times internationally, mainly to US. My total spend has been close to 25 Lakhs & my every travel invoice has matched with my airline invoice. Not to mention, I have even found Expedia's fares cheaper than MMT. I feel ashamed that our Indian businesses lack integrity and resort to cheating. I'm a proud supporter of local businesses but in this case, I had to switch back to an international travel company, who offers better service and better rates. Losing a customer like me won't affect a big company like MMT. But I think it is important for Indians to realize that they do have options. So remember, next time you book a ticket, mostly international, please ask the airline to issue an invoice. And if the invoice does not match your ticket price issued by the agent, you have the right to request a refund. Hope this helps.

      Dear MMT,
      As I mentioned, I do not use MMT any more but have noticed more complaints related to invoicing and no refunds. My complaint was to educate consumers on wrong practices adopted by businesses.

      In both my instance, my matter was checked by MMT management & I had to fight for getting my refund. And I see the same here on this forum. Looking at the number of complaints, it surprises me that businesses like MMT have so many problems.

        Hi, I have booked a ticket for Ahmedabad to New Delhi. I have cancelled it. As per my calculation (attached ticket), I should get more money. Ticket Charge - 2990/- Cancellation Charge – 1500/- Refund Amount – 1490/- They have refunded around 900-. I told them that refund my money else I will go to Consumer forum and they told me to go but I can refund only this money and also not given satisfactory answer. Pls. help me. Rgds, Ajit Jha

            I am unable to send mails to customer care mail id : [protected]@makemytrip.com/[protected]@makemytrip.com. There is no communication from makemytrip side after I made payments and further details. Booking ID: NL[protected]I booked Bangkok Pattaya Special (Deluxe category) for 28th November for 2 people. I have made two partial payments. I am not receiving communication in form of sms/callback post my online bookings at makemytrip wesbite. Could you confirm if everything is fine with my bookings ? I am expecting a call back and information related to my bookings, making sure that my payments are received fine ? And could you share what is the procedure ahead in this ? What will be the itinerary and whats included in my booking ? Will I get any choice of hotels to choose from under Deluxe category ? What is the process and requirements for tourist visa to Thailand ?

              Hi, I usually go through Makemytrip for my tickets booking but it was a very bad experience for me to book ticket from MakeMyTrip this time. Since I booked the ticket from your site and received a very bad response from your travel agent/vendor 'Kalpana travels' as the bus on which I suppose to board (Bus No. UP78-3458) was not stopped on the nodal point (RamaDevi Kanpur) as I along with many other passenger continuously trying to call the bus driver/conductor to stop the bus but they even don't see towards the passengers and there is no response from any of the cell number mentioned in the ticket. Bus Operator Contact Number: [protected], [protected],[protected] The most interesting part of this incident that the bus is almost full as it is coming from Lucknow to Delhi. Here we think that there is no such protocols for online booking the tickets for journey because vendor did not take of the seats which are already booked through different sites (such as MakeMyTrip, com, Yatra.com etc.) Bus boarding time is at 10:00 PM and the bus arrives at the nodal point at 11:45 and as I said before it was not stopped on the nodal point PS: If there is no such control of MakeMyTrip on the vendors like Kalpna Travel, please do not show such options as a response to search query on site. Further, I request you to please refund the amount of the money as compensation since I even didn't board the Bus which I suppose to board and moreover I had to face so much trouble in this incident as I had to wait from 10:00 pm till 2:00 am for another bus. We already take some legal action with the help of patrolling police in Kanpur and lodge a complaint against the travel agency . Hoping a favorable response from your side and I wish to use MakeMyTrip services as efficiently as I use before. Please look into this issue and refund the amount which I pay for this ticket.                 I have booked the ticket from new delhi to goa for 3rd Dec 2014. The ticket was booked non-refundable but the information was not provided at the time of booking by MakeMyTrip. Please find below the details: MakeMyTrip Booking ID - NF[protected] Indigo (Flight number - 6E-399) Date: 3-Dec-2014. I want to cancel the ticket. So I talked to Indigo Airlines and according to them the ticket is refundable but MakeMyTrip have booked it as non-refundable. Indigo is agree to return me the amount Rs. 7846 but MakeMyTrip is not refunding anything except taxes. I have talked to customer care 3-4 times but I didn't get any response from your end. The customer care guy told me to get the call within 4 days but I didn't get any call from MakeMyTrip even after 7 days. Also on 10-Nov-2014, I had escalated 3 complaints on the same but they are not getting showing up today in my MakeMyTrip now which were visible since yesterday. Please help me getting the resolution asap.

                  Hi, This is in regards to the refund not done completely by Makemytrip. We had done a booking for 3 people on 10th Oct 2014, please find the details below: Booking ID: NF[protected] Travel Date: 25th October 2014 Booking Date: 10th October 2014. Booking cost: 33, 945 INR Amount refunded till now: 28197 INR Amount left to be refunded: 5748 INR We had done this booking for the timings 9:30 AM -12:15 PM but somehow we received the tickets for 6:25 AM - 9:10 AM timings. Regarding this we checked with the customer support from Makemytrip and they said that you can cancel this booking and book again for the suitable time for yourself and they will refund the complete money. They said there could be a problem on their mobile app which we used for booking and also i am not denying the fact that we ourselves could have chosen the wrong timings but they said they will refund the complete money otherwise we would have boarded the same flight rather then cancelling it and loosing INR 5748. After that we made 2-3 more calls to customer support when we only received INR 28197 and they kept on saying that our remaining money would be refunded and the case is pending with their accounts team and once they also said that accounts team have cleared the case and we will receive the money shortly. But after sometime when we didn't receive the amount i tried calling customer support and this time a person named Vikas Kathait received the call and said that its a mistake from consumer side while booking the tickets and so they are not going to refund the remaining amount. Suddenly how can they change the whole scenario. Earlier they were saying the problem was from their side and amount would be refunded and now they were saying they would not because the mistake was from consumer side. How But my reason to file this complaint is that first they provided me the wrong solution of cancelling the tickets and assuring me that complete amount would be refunded otherwise i would have boarded the same flight and wouldn't have had lost the remaining amount. So ideally its a mistake from Makemytrip customer support and i don't want to bear the cost for it. Now on my follow up calls to Makemytrip support, they said that they are going tocross check the Call traces which i had made to customer support earlier and would see if the customer support has provided wrong details to me and if that is the case they will refund me the remaining amount. But even after that nothing happened and they kept saying to give 4-5 business days. But its more than 7-10 business days and when i again gave a follow up call they said by 3rd nov i will have this issue resolved but again it was not. I again made a follow up call and this time a guy called Brijesh spoke to me and assured me of some solution. But now i am repeatedly receiving emails from Makemytrip asking me the following details for the call in which the support person gave me wrong information. Name of Consultant: Date of call : Time of call Your contact number from which the call was made: Number to which call done (MakeMyTrip number) : I don't know how can i provide them these details when i don't remember them because already i have made almost a dozen follow up calls to the customer support. BUt the main issue is why do they wan't these details from my side because they alwasy keep records of all the calls which are made to the customer support so they can simply check these details themselves rather then asking me. After receiving these repeated mails from guys(Chintan Purohit, JJitender.[protected]@makemytrip.com) i have given them some approximate details but i can't be sure of them because the first call was made almost a month back. Some more details: The ongoing Service request# for this issue are: 1.[protected] 2.[protected] Please take some suitable action for this issue and resolve it ASAP because i don't want to pay for the mistake which was done by your support staff.                     Hi, I was trying to book a flight to Singapore from Mumbai on 10th Dec 14. I clicked make payment and guess what the page was stuck. I immediately called the customer care and they asked me to refresh and book again, which i did. To my surprise two tickets were issues on same name. I called them immediately and they told me someone will get back to me. Guess what, no one did. I called then an raised a ticket. Its been 45 hours of no reply associated with call disconnection's. Every time i call them they disconnect my call. They have very worst setup of communication between different teams...always keep putting you on hold when you try to call customer service. Now the airlines say, due to duplicate booking, tickets will be canceled. Still now make my trip CS has not been contacting me.

                      Initially I was looking to purchase Air tickets for overseas travel with my family and I found this company online and on May 15th, 2014 I booked my travel tickets for myself, wife and our infant child. We booked our our onward journey tickets for the date December 5th, 2014 and return date from Hong Kong to be on January 5th, 2015. So, we had confirmed booking for this original schedule. I have paid $4571 for the same to this company. A few days later we decided that my wife and my child wanted to leave a week ahead of Thanks giving (22nd Nov) and I will join them on December 5th. So I called Makemytrip.com company and asked them to reschedule ONLY the onward journey for my wife and the infant baby and pre-pone to November 22nd, 2014 and keep the return journey plan as is so that we could return together on January 5th, 2014. But, when rescheduling this tickets the customer service representative changed the return journey date from January 5th to January 1st for my wife and child. I did not realize this because I did not check this date change because I request date change only for the onward journey and they had no business changing dates for our return journey. I have all the chat transcripts, quotes to prove they were wrong. Now I have been battling them to fix this issue since it is their fault and Makemytrip.com has been non-responsive most of the time and they say I will be charged money to have this travel dates fixed. They are trying to get away with this incorrect business practise.I feel cheated and misguided by this company and they are not willing to fix this issue for me. I am so ready to sue this company!

                          My name is Tushar. we booked for swiss paris delight MMT trip in october. Actual package mentioned as fake. They donot provide sight seeing also we have to pay extra and make arrangement on your own. Normal air port to hotel transfer they gave the name as city tour for eg of paris and geneva Poor food hotels, for married couple the provide separate beds etc horrible experience. Poor communication from executives. My flight was at different time then other members at eleventh hr they told me to make arrangement on own from engelberg to zurich air port at 6 oclk morning or told me to wait at air port lounge in the midnight.rediculous. Later on i paid extra for taxi and made arrnagement. Very poor trip.

Before I give details of my complain, please take into account that Make my trip have one of the worst customer service. This bad experience is not restricted to their customer care executive being ill trained but also their non response to complaint emails. I have cancelled following tickets: Booking ID From - TO Date of Journey NF[protected] Chandigarh (IXC) Srinagar (SXR) 17 Sep 2014 Cancelled NF[protected] Srinagar (SXR) Chandigarh (IXC) 18 Sep 2014 Cancelled I cancelled these tickets on 14th sep 2014 due to the catastrophic floods in Kashmir. And it was promised by Make my trip that no penalty would be charged to the tickets cancelled booked to kashmir. I even confirmed this after calling to their customer care and cross tallied from the airlines too. But till now no refund has been made to my account. And Guess what ? They are saying that isn't any refund to be made. Full tickets amount is the penalty fee. If i would still show you their website, it would show that zero penalty is to be charged and the amount to be refunded is full ticket amount. I have a recorded call of their customer care. Where after keeping my call on hold for around 30 minutes, the executive tells me that his senior is busy and would call me within 30 minutes and I say them " I have recorded your call and if you do not call me within 30 minutes i would also include this evidence of harassment to my complain". Make my trip have such an audacity to do fraud, that they didnt even care to call me back !!! I am a student and barely meet my daily expenses due to the soaring living expenses. And over and above that this company have forfeited my refund amount FULLY !! for no reason !!. Its nothing but just a fraud. Can anyone tell me whether Make My trip complain jurisdiction comes in Delhi or Gurgaon ? I have to immediately sue the company for this. I do not want that anyone else like me faces this problem. IMPORTANT ADVICE : Please if you are damm sure that you wont be involved in the refund matter, then only book tickets via make my trip otherwise its a brotherly advice not to fall prey to this fraud company.

                            At an outset, we regret for the inconvenience this may have caused.

                            In reference to your complaint, we have validated your case and found that initially when your reservation was cancelled with the Airline, they charged regular cancellation penalty. Later when you contacted our center.they have taken up this issue with the Airline and finally full refund was processed on the booking from the Airline end. Please note that we have initiated full refund towards both the bookings on 14-Nov-14 and we hope that same has been credited to your account accordingly.

                              I have a very serious complaint The timing has been changed by airline and had requested for a revised eticket on 1st nov 2014 to Daljit singh they told they will call back.but didn't we did a follow up twice with Puneet and somebody on Tuesday 3rd nov 2014 and they again told me we will send us the revised eticket within next 6 hours but didn't reverted. And this is were I was shocked to hear on Wednesday by Ms. Pooja Kondal ref no.[protected]. that my return ticket from chicago to charlotte on 25th dec 2014 is unoperating (in their terms) and it is again going to take some 24 hours for them to speak to the airline and get me the connecting flight. As told my Ms. Pooja Kondal This is an error of the agent - MMT part while booking . On Tuesday I wanted to speak to the Supervisor to lodge my complaint but nobody reverted in the next 4 working hrs and again on wednesday 5th november i am waiting for the supervisor's call which is today. I neeed the e-ticket to be issued with the revised timings and my connecting flight on 25th dec from chicago to charlotte immediately on pratibha.[protected]@gmail.com urgently In case i dont receive the same on priority and if it impacts my travel/ journey i will be forced to take stern legal action against Make My Trip.                                 I have a serious complaint to make. With reference to the above mentioned booking ID i had booked a return ticket from Dubai to Mumbai for 8th Nov 2014. However, on 30th October 2014 i had called up your customer service number and spoke to Aman Preet Singh and changed my travel date from 8th Nov 2014 to 11th Nov 2014 for Indigo Flight scheduled departure from Dubai at 8.25 PM. I was told that i should be receiving the e-ticket within 6 hours but the same never arriived. I also spoke to Jhalak on the next day 31st Oct 2014 asking her to forward the same urgently. She commited that the same should be reaching me in an hours time. I am currently in Dubai and today we are on 3rd Nov 2014 and i have still not received my ticket. I need the e-ticket to be emailed to my email address : pankaj.[protected]@gmail.com urgently. In case i dont receive the same on priority and if it impacts my travel/ journey from Dubai to Mumbai i will be forced to take stern legal action against Make My Trip.                                   My name is Anshi Saksena, student of Banasthali University. I had booked two bus tickets from Jaipur to Lucknow from UPSRTC for 2nd November, 5 p.m. PNR number: XJPR[protected] SEAT number: 44 and 45. On the day of boarding, I reached the required Alambagh bus station one hour before the departure time, also boarded the correct bus and the allotted seat, i.e, seat number 44 and 45. But surprisingly two more passengers arrived claiming their ownership over the same seat. I approached the conductor, as it was the matter of concern as we were two girls by ourself of barely 20 years. The conductor checked the chart which showed the allotment of those seats to the other passengers. With our name not mentioned with the seat allotted by you, we were forcefully asked to leave the bus. All officials turned a deaf ear to our complain in spite of showing them the sms of the ticket you forwarded. To my amazement, I had to miss my bus and no one came to my aid. This wasn't expected out of such a honcho as makemytrip. Further, i would like to inform you that it was very urgent to reach my college, for the submission of my semester form for which I now require to pay 3000 as fine. I ask you to refund my ticket with the fare of the new bus ticket and also my college fine to incur my losses. I humbly request you to consider my complain seriously and sincerely else I would not hesitate to lodge a Consumer forum case of cheat on your company to claim back my money with compensation. It was a matter of humiliation in front of other passengers, as they viewed me and my fellow passenger as the one without tickets. Therefore, I pass you my details. Passenger 1: Anshi Saksena.                                       I'LL JUST PASTE THE CONVERSATIONS WITH THE "BUNCH OF LIARS" STAFFS IN MAKEMYTRIP... FROM SEPT 3, 2014 TO NOV 1, 2014: Since Sept 3, 2014, we have waiting for the solution related to our booking made on Aug 28, 2014 but till now we get NOTHING from our end. For almost 2 months now! I made a total 17 COMPLAINTS via PHONE CALL out of which, STRANGELY, 15 cases are RESOLVED!!! For the calls I have made, I have spoken to “BUNCH OF LIARS” staffs who only said 3 THINGS namely: 1. E-Tickets will be issued within COUPLE OF HOURS/NEXT 12 HOURS/ WITHIN 24 HOURS. 2. I will get a call WITHIN 24 HOURS/WITHIN 48 HOURS. 3. THE AIRLINE CANCELED BOOKING, PAYMENT WILL BE REFUNDED. Unfortunately, I did not get our E-TICKETS, I received only ONE CALL from your end, and lastly, the only SOLUTION is to refund my payment. As I have said I completely REJECTING your solution to REFUND my money simply because DUE TO YOUR DELAYING ANTICS the ticket prices nearly DOUBLED!!! I want you to shoulder this price increase since you are the main reason WHY we still do not have our plane tickets. By the way, 3 from “BUNCH OF LIARS” staffs have told me that certain RAJAT SAXENA and JUGAL GANDHI already provided the necessary APPROVAL to bear the price difference. Still, NO E-TICKETS ISSUED and ANOTHER CANCELLATION NOTIFICATION EMAILS have been sent. The last time I called I have given my ONLY SOLUTION to MEHK GANDHI. The ONLY SOLUTION I WANT IS TO BOOK US A FLIGHT FROM DXB TO MNL LEAVING ON DEC 18 OR 19 2014 AND RETURNING ON JAN 9 OR 10 2015 IN ANY AIRLINE WILL DO EXCEPT MALAYSIAN AIRLINE. THIS IS THE ONLY SOLUTION I WANT. I NEED THE CONFIRMATION ON OR BEFORE OCT 27, 2014 MONDAY. IF I DID NOT GET THIS SOLUTION ON THAT DAY, I WILL FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT IN DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT – CONSUMER RIGHTS SECTION IN DUBAI.                                         I booked a flight from Toronto-Chicago-Delhi, after a week I received an email saying that Toronto - Chicago flight has been rescheduled. However, no alternate flight was given to me. I registered a complaint several times with no update till date. It's been more than a month and half, everyday I receive an email saying ' we're unable to contact the airline please o wait for another 24-48hours'. I called customer service many times but nobody seems to be helpful at all. I spoke to the manager - RAJAT. He assured me he's taking the matter personally and it will be resolved in a week. This was before Dussehra and it's OCT 30 and I am still awaiting for my flight to be rescheduled. I want my issue to be resolved and I have no more patience left to deal with bunch of . I am not going to let it go without a compensation this time !!! Booking ID - NN[protected]
