i booked flight from chennai to belgaum on 2nd dec 2014 to travel on feb 7 2015, every procedure was followed but at the last moment when i saw the amount of Rs. 5636.00 was decucted by make my trip from my BOB account, but i didnt cereive any confirmatory message or mail from the website. and when i looked my profile there is no history of booking. i have the proof of my ATM statement where it says Rs 5636 has been deducted and also a SMS from BOB saying make my trip has deducted Rs. 5636 from my account. so what should i do now?? when i call to customer care, there only recorded voice. there is no provision to talk with the executives. my user name in makemytrip.com was... manju.[protected]@gmail.com kindly do the needful i amm here by attaching the ATM statement which says Rs 5636 has been deducted from the BOB account and browsing history which shows the booking procedure has taken place.

    I was booking an internation ticket using Makemytrip and due to incorrect details in the ticket, I had to void my ticket as suggested by the agent from makemytrip. During the process of voidation, they said they will deduct 600 rupees from the amount i paid towards the tickets and re-fund rest of the amount in to my account in 7 working days. Based on this confirmation from the agent, I agreed to void tickets instead of making the correction in the tickets via airlines. Then I had to borrow money from some one to make the booking as the internation travel I was booking costed more and my amount which I paid earlier was stuck with re-fund for 7 days. Later after 7 days, I called customer care of Makemytrip, they said it is still under process and will be deposited next day (25th November). I called them up again on next day, I got the same answer again that it will be deposited next day (26th Nov). I called up again on next day, they said 27th Nov. I called on 27th, they said 28th. I called on 28th, they said 1 Dec. I called on 1 Dec, they said 2 more days. All the above called, I am making from outside india. They said their numbers are toll-free, but my service provider charges for this number, so I had to spend nearly $200 just to call Makemytrip. I have asked for callback, they said they have raised a request internally for calling me back, 5 times, surprisingly even a single time I received a call. This above one is by calling them up. I tried other way, their support via chat. I did chat more than 30 times. Every time, they transfer me to some one, 10 times, I had to wait for 20-30 mins and disconnect as no one picks up my chat request. More than 10 time, they transfer to some one, they will say we are still working on refund, can you please wait for one more day. I will be asking something to them and they disconnect the chat session and keep customer un-happy. I tried contacting them via email, every time I send e-mail asking for updates, They said we are working on this, please give us 72 hours to refund. I have received this mails every day, many such 72 hours passed, but no useful update. Not sure why makemytrip is taking so long to refund my money and not even a single person from their customer service is honest and help up. Every time i contact them, i got false information. An interesting update from one of the customer service person - She says, " We have verified your cancellation/voidation with Airlines and as per policy there is nothing to be refunding to you". This was shocking update from her, as I have voided ticket based on the Makemytrip customer service and now again they are giving an wrong update to me. I have given them my new contact number every time I contacted them and said, I am not on the number which I booked with because I have already travelled to other country so call me on my new number. But surpricingly, every time they say, we have contacted on you number 900*******, I will tell them I have given my new contact number and asked to call on that why are you calling my Indian number. They say we are sorry for that and we will contact on new number. This happened many times and still not received an update or call on my number. Here is my booking ID: NN[protected] Voidation date: 14-November Agent confirmed me before voidation and promised refund in 7 days after verifying my details and then I agreed. But now, I am regretting about this decision and decision to use Makemytrip for booking my tickets. There is my mail ID linked to this booking ID and they can contact me anytime via email and not via old phone number.

      I have made the booking on 1/11/2014 with jet airways from travelling from indoor to pune.I canceled it at 10/11/2014 but still i did not get any refund.I am fed up with there customer service.I called them 7-8 times but still my issue is not solve.Really Worst service i ever seen.MakeMyTrip u lost your customer.

          Despite being a returning customer of MMT, It has been a very frustrating experience for me to get my cash back of Rs.500 from MMT. MMT's customer care has been pathetic to say the least. At times it takes more than an hour to connect to their customer care executive. After that many times the customer care executive disconnects the call. Besides sometimes the call to their customer care gets auto disconnected!!! and they have no courtesy to call back!! well if your payment fails on a ticket then they do call back instantly - but when you raise a service request - it is rarely replied back - despite several reminders - there is rarely any response. This is the hypocrisy that MMT stands for. I have been struggling to get Rs.500 back for a ticket that i had booked. I had tried booking the ticket on my android phone but due to some problem on their Android phone app, I was unable to make the purchase on the phone app. MMT provides Rs 500 cashback if the ticket is booked using their phone app and you use the code - "MMTAPP500". Finally I had to go to my laptop and booked the ticket and used "MMTAPP500". Somehow the MMT website was able to accept the purchase and my credit card details. Now MMT says it cannot provide cachback to me because I booked the ticket using their website and not their phone app. Even after providing the screen shots and all the info they had wanted, every one from top to bottom - is of just one opinion - "sir, you must have called us and we would have sorted the issue" I was booking the ticket at 7AM in the morning, if the ticket price goes up then who is going to pay for it? Despite talking and writing several emails to the customer care, the response has been very rare and sporadic. Not to mention the disconnected calls. I wonder are there really so many disgruntled customers of MMT that the call is on hold for so long?? Anyways, When I booked a similar ticket on Goibibo I got instant discount of Rs. 500 on my purchase - no problems of cashback problems. This is the difference between goibibo and MMT. Beware people to book your tickets using MMT. MMT just does not care for their customers. The only thing they know is how to make life difficult for their customers.This treatment is meted out to me who has been a returning customer to MMT and have purchased about 7-8 tickets from them previously. The only thing MMT is interested is in making "memorable memories". Yes they have definitely made it this time for me - a painful memorable memory. People, do not trust MMT. They are not worth your time. It is better to trust Goibibo and i have not been had any problems so far with it. MMTs customer care is the worst I have interacted with. You can trust anyone but not MMT to resolve your query. Have a nice day ahead!

            On 3rd Oct, 2014, i have booked a flight ticket through makemytrip.com from Bangalore to Visakhapatnam to travel on 18th Oct, 2014. Due to cyclone effect in Visakhapatnam, the flight were un-operational.Later i got a message on 14th Oct, 2014 that the flight got cancelled. I waited for refund amount which i haven't received, on 20th Oct, 2014 i have called Spice jet customer support and requested to refund the amount, they replied 'as the flight was non-operational', i will get the full refund for Rs: 4204.Later i called Makemytrip.com, as the refund would be processed through makemytrip.com, they have refunded an amount of Rs: 2254, which was half the amount i had to followup up multiple times waiting on the call for more than 15-30 hold time, and they disconnect the call, without providing appropriate status, requesting for refund, which they have not processed yet, when ever i call makemytrip customer service, they inform saying we have escalated your concern to payment dispute, they put on hold for several minutes, and come back to us informing it will take 4 business days to process the request. Please find the below makemytrip call details, which i have called for refund the amount.21st oct 7:59 AM28th oct 4:36 PM1st Nov 20:23 PM5th Nov 18:45 PM11th Nov 13:19 PM25th Nov 10:40 AMOn 25th Nov, Avanthi Singh (ext No:9751) she was rude, not transferring the call to the supervisor, she was shouting on the call, saying she cannot transfer the call and she disconnected the call.I still haven't got any proper response regarding the refund. On 11th Nov, i have called makemytrip and spoken to the supervisor, then he connected the call with spice jet accounts team, then he has mentioned that they have refunded the amount in 2 splits. Please find the below details. on 17th oct 2704on 28th oct 1500My question was, when the flight was non operational, why they have not refunded the complete amount till date as on 12th Nov, 2013. As it is been beyond 45 days.

              Hi Sam,
              Did you confirm that the price you paid to MMT matches with the airline invoice? If not, you may want to check. I have had experiences with MMT where they charge a lot more than what airlines do. That should not happen.

                I had booked a hotel in Chennai called Crystal Residency for Monday June 23 and June 24th 2014. The voucher number is NH[protected], i stayed for one day and canceled the next day's stay as it was very dirty and I politely told them I am going to my relations house because did not want to be rude to them, and asked for a refund immediately from MAKEMYTRIP. They delayed sending the request to the hotel and have not repaid to me the amount for a day's stay so far. What is to be done? . They have to repay 2200 to me.

We have taken up this issue with the hotelier as per your verbatim but he has denied any refund on the booking.

                  Bangalore to kolkata (13th November, 2014, 6.50 pm flight), PNR# for my Flt 6E378 : YYW69Q. I had collected the boarding pass and submitted my luggage at around 5.45 pm. I was told to go to first floor gate 12. I went up and saw many people waiting. Since I was a first time traveller so I asked a staff(a boy dressed in shirt and trouser and having an id card) if I had arrived at the right place to wait. He told me I could wait there until my name will be announced. So I sat waiting. When my name was not announced by 6.30 pm I got up and went towards gate 12. At 6.33 pm I was standing right in front of gate 12 still waiting for name to be announced. At last when there was no announcements made at all I went to the staff person near the gate to inquire at 6.40pm. To my utter shock, she (her name is liji) told me that my flight has departed! I kept asking her how could the flight depart 10 mins prior to the departure time, it was just not possible. I asked her how could you leave a passenger who had collected her boarding pass 1 hr back without even waiting for a min. As per the rule for any passenger who has collected the boarding pass on time, the staffs are supossed to wait for atleast 5 to 10 mins. She told me they waited for me for 10 mins! I was shocked. I immediately asked when the flight departure time is 6.50 and you say that you waited for 10 mins then how is it possible that at 6.40 pm the flight has already departed! Miss liji behaved very indifferently to me. Since it was really urgent for me to board the flight I almost begged her to allow me in. But she behaved quite rudely and kept saying that the flight had departed and she can not do anything about it. I then told her to call the manager. Instead she said I could take you to the manager. I kept asking her to hurry up while we walked but she walked casually ignoring my words. When I met the manager (her name is Shilpa h r) I explained her the incident. After listening she very casually told that it was my fault and they cannot help me in any way. I kept on asking her how can it be my fault...how can the flight depart prior to the actual departure time without even informing the passenger, to which she did not reply. She told me that the rule for announcements to the passengers have been stopped at the airport 2 months back. I was not ready to believe this there are no airports where announcements are not made. She also told me that the staffs had tried calling me. But since I did not receive any call I showed her my call log. Then she asked me to wait a min. She came back telling me there was no call made. My very obvious question was how could the flight depart without announcement or a call to the customer that too before time. Then after a min she told the staff had tried calling me but my phone was switched off. I asked her to show me her call log. After some 5 to 10 mins she showed me a screen shot of the call. It was made once at 6.34 pm ! I immediately asked her if as per them they do not allow any passenger to board 20 mins prior to the departure then why did they try calling me so late! She obviously did not have any answer to this. Then I asked her to call her head. She kept telling me that she herself was the head and nobody was above her. When she was not at all listening to any of my concerns I asked her for the last time if she is going to tell me who the terminal head was or should I take the help of a police. She casually replied saying you are free to call the police. I went to the police and asked him about the terminal head. I explained everything to the terminal head. He said it was wrong on the side of the indigo staffs to do this but said he cannot enforce upon them anything but can only request them to make some arrangements for me. At last after the intervention of the terminal head, Miss Shilpa called her head. I explained her the problem. Though she did not behave rudely but she also said that they will not be able to help since it was my fault. I told her that I was travelling alone and was just 3 days old to the city. I had checked out from the place I had accomodation and was absolutely helpless to go any where at that time! Even after seeing such a state of mine she did not show any sign of help to me. I even made her talk to my brother explaining my problem. She said there was no other flight to Kolkata that night, the next earliest flight was at 6.35 the next morning and that I would have to pay for fresh booking of the ticket( it was 15k flight as per her). I clearly told her that the mistake was from your side and obviously I should not be the one who has to bear this loss. After a long argument she agreed to book me for the next flight without any extra charges. But still the problem was not solved. I was completely new to the city. I had travelled 3 hrs from e city to the airport. I had checked out from the place i had been staying. I had no place to go and no where to stay. I told her that she is also liable to make arrangements for my accomodation to which her reply was : sorry mam we can't make arrangements for that, we arranged you the tickets as a favour! Just because we considered that you are a girl travelling alone so we did the ticket arrangements for you! I was shocked ! Even after all the drama she was still not ready to accept her fault huh! I directly told her that they were not doing any favour to me, it was clear that they are at fault and that is why it was there duty to do so. At last I had to spend the whole night at the airport alone and on an half empty stomach. I did not get proper dinner outside, had to eat something light and even then i had to spend quite a lot since the food at airport is quite costly. I was literally shivering in cold at night. I had no warm clothes I could put on, at last I had to buy myself coffee (which I otherwise avoid) from ccd at the terminal to make myself warm. I demand an explanation to the inconvenience caused to me by the indigo attendant. Is this the kind of service you people provide to the passengers. Do you really expect me to ever go for indigo airlines in the future! Highly unsatisfied!

We escalated this to every possible extent via all the channels (costumer care, emails, complaints L1, L2, L3 ) but there is no response from makemytrip on this pending incident. Booking ID - NF[protected] Booking cost - 15642 INR (Round trip Delhi-Pune) Pending Refund amount - Rs 8000 INR Booking date: 13 Sep, 2014 Travel Date: 10 Oct, 2014 (Return Flight) Airline PNR: HTMC3 Eticket number: 098 [protected] We have a confirmation from Airline for full refund since the flight had delayed many times.                       Friends, I have stopped complaining against MakeMyTrip because it does no good. The only way to teach lessons to such businesses is by not doing any business with them. I travel frequently, mostly internationally & thought o[censored]sing MakeMyTrip as my travel agency. But after two bad experiences, I decided to ditch MMT. MMT often charge customers a lot more than what the airline ticket costs them. Legally, they cannot do that. Travel agents can only charge you additional reservation fees which are typically in the range 250 or 500 INR. The invoice price that you get from MMT should match the invoice price with airline. This can be easily obtained from the airline using the 6 character booking code. I had two instances where MMT charged me 15K - 20K more than the airline invoice price. I had to fight back with MMT to get the refund. After that I decided not to do business with MMT. After my experience, I have been using Expedia.co.in. I have travelled multiple times domestically & 10+ times internationally, mainly to US. My total spend has been close to 25 Lakhs & my every travel invoice has matched with my airline invoice. Not to mention, I have even found Expedia's fares cheaper than MMT. I feel ashamed that our Indian businesses lack integrity and resort to cheating. I'm a proud supporter of local businesses but in this case, I had to switch back to an international travel company, who offers better service and better rates. Losing a customer like me won't affect a big company like MMT. But I think it is important for Indians to realize that they do have options. So remember, next time you book a ticket, mostly international, please ask the airline to issue an invoice. And if the invoice does not match your ticket price issued by the agent, you have the right to request a refund. Hope this helps.

                      Dear MMT,
                      As I mentioned, I do not use MMT any more but have noticed more complaints related to invoicing and no refunds. My complaint was to educate consumers on wrong practices adopted by businesses.

                      In both my instance, my matter was checked by MMT management & I had to fight for getting my refund. And I see the same here on this forum. Looking at the number of complaints, it surprises me that businesses like MMT have so many problems.

                        Hi, I have booked a ticket for Ahmedabad to New Delhi. I have cancelled it. As per my calculation (attached ticket), I should get more money. Ticket Charge - 2990/- Cancellation Charge – 1500/- Refund Amount – 1490/- They have refunded around 900-. There is no communication from makemytrip side after I made payments and further details. Booking ID: NL[protected]I booked Bangkok Pattaya Special (Deluxe category) for 28th November for 2 people. I have made two partial payments. I am not receiving communication in form of sms/callback post my online bookings at makemytrip wesbite. Could you confirm if everything is fine with my bookings ? I am expecting a call back and information related to my bookings, making sure that my payments are received fine ? And could you share what is the procedure ahead in this ? What will be the itinerary and whats included in my booking ? Will I get any choice of hotels to choose from under Deluxe category ?                               Hi, I usually go through Makemytrip for my tickets booking but it was a very bad experience for me to book ticket from MakeMyTrip this time. Since I booked the ticket from your site and received a very bad response from your travel agent/vendor 'Kalpana travels' as the bus on which I suppose to board (Bus No. UP78-3458) was not stopped on the nodal point (RamaDevi Kanpur) as I along with many other passenger continuously trying to call the bus driver/conductor to stop the bus but they even don't see towards the passengers and there is no response from any of the cell number mentioned in the ticket. Bus Operator Contact Number: [protected], [protected],[protected] The most interesting part of this incident that the bus is almost full as it is coming from Lucknow to Delhi. Here we think that there is no such protocols for online booking the tickets for journey because vendor did not take of the seats which are already booked through different sites (such as MakeMyTrip, com, Yatra.com etc.) Bus boarding time is at 10:00 PM and the bus arrives at the nodal point at 11:45 and as I said before it was not stopped on the nodal point PS: If there is no such control of MakeMyTrip on the vendors like Kalpna Travel, please do not show such options as a response to search query on site. Further, I request you to please refund the amount of the money as compensation since I even didn't board the Bus which I suppose to board and moreover I had to face so much trouble in this incident as I had to wait from 10:00 pm till 2:00 am for another bus. We already take some legal action with the help of patrolling police in Kanpur and lodge a complaint against the travel agency . Hoping a favorable response from your side and I wish to use MakeMyTrip services as efficiently as I use before. Please look into this issue and refund the amount which I pay for this ticket.                                 I have booked the ticket from new delhi to goa for 3rd Dec 2014. The ticket was booked non-refundable but the information was not provided at the time of booking by MakeMyTrip. Please find below the details: MakeMyTrip Booking ID - NF[protected] Indigo (Flight number - 6E-399) Date: 3-Dec-2014. I want to cancel the ticket. So I talked to Indigo Airlines and according to them the ticket is refundable but MakeMyTrip have booked it as non-refundable. Indigo is agree to return me the amount Rs. 7846 but MakeMyTrip is not refunding anything except taxes. I have talked to customer care 3-4 times but I didn't get any response from your end. The customer care guy told me to get the call within 4 days but I didn't get any call from MakeMyTrip even after 7 days. Also on 10-Nov-2014, I had escalated 3 complaints on the same but they are not getting showing up today in my MakeMyTrip now which were visible since yesterday. Please help me getting the resolution asap.

                                  Hi, This is in regards to the refund not done completely by Makemytrip. We had done a booking for 3 people on 10th Oct 2014, please find the details below: Booking ID: NF[protected] Travel Date: 25th October 2014 Booking Date: 10th October 2014. Booking cost: 33, 945 INR Amount refunded till now: 28197 INR Amount left to be refunded: 5748 INR We had done this booking for the timings 9:30 AM -12:15 PM but somehow we received the tickets for 6:25 AM - 9:10 AM timings. Regarding this we checked with the customer support from Makemytrip and they said that you can cancel this booking and book again for the suitable time for yourself and they will refund the complete money. They said there could be a problem on their mobile app which we used for booking and also i am not denying the fact that we ourselves could have chosen the wrong timings but they said they will refund the complete money otherwise we would have boarded the same flight rather then cancelling it and loosing INR 5748. After that we made 2-3 more calls to customer support when we only received INR 28197 and they kept on saying that our remaining money would be refunded and the case is pending with their accounts team and once they also said that accounts team have cleared the case and we will receive the money shortly. But after sometime when we didn't receive the amount i tried calling customer support and this time a person named Vikas Kathait received the call and said that its a mistake from consumer side while booking the tickets and so they are not going to refund the remaining amount. Suddenly how can they change the whole scenario. Earlier they were saying the problem was from their side and amount would be refunded and now they were saying they would not because the mistake was from consumer side. How But my reason to file this complaint is that first they provided me the wrong solution of cancelling the tickets and assuring me that complete amount would be refunded otherwise i would have boarded the same flight and wouldn't have had lost the remaining amount. So ideally its a mistake from Makemytrip customer support and i don't want to bear the cost for it. Now on my follow up calls to Makemytrip support, they said that they are going tocross check the Call traces which i had made to customer support earlier and would see if the customer support has provided wrong details to me and if that is the case they will refund me the remaining amount. But even after that nothing happened and they kept saying to give 4-5 business days. But its more than 7-10 business days and when i again gave a follow up call they said by 3rd nov i will have this issue resolved but again it was not. I again made a follow up call and this time a guy called Brijesh spoke to me and assured me of some solution. But now i am repeatedly receiving emails from Makemytrip asking me the following details for the call in which the support person gave me wrong information. Name of Consultant: Date of call : Time of call Your contact number from which the call was made: Number to which call done (MakeMyTrip number) : I don't know how can i provide them these details when i don't remember them because already i have made almost a dozen follow up calls to the customer support. BUt the main issue is why do they wan't these details from my side because they alwasy keep records of all the calls which are made to the customer support so they can simply check these details themselves rather then asking me. After receiving these repeated mails from guys(Chintan Purohit, JJitender.[protected]@makemytrip.com) i have given them some approximate details but i can't be sure of them because the first call was made almost a month back. Some more details: The ongoing Service request# for this issue are: 1.[protected] 2.[protected] Please take some suitable action for this issue and resolve it ASAP because i don't want to pay for the mistake which was done by your support staff.                                       Initially I was looking to purchase Air tickets for overseas travel with my family and I found this company online and on May 15th, 2014 I booked my travel tickets for myself, wife and our infant child. We booked our our onward journey tickets for the date December 5th, 2014 and return date from Hong Kong to be on January 5th, 2015. So, we had confirmed booking for this original schedule. I have paid $4571 for the same to this company. A few days later we decided that my wife and my child wanted to leave a week ahead of Thanks giving (22nd Nov) and I will join them on December 5th. So I called Makemytrip.com company and asked them to reschedule ONLY the onward journey for my wife and the infant baby and pre-pone to November 22nd, 2014 and keep the return journey plan as is so that we could return together on January 5th, 2014. But, when rescheduling this tickets the customer service representative changed the return journey date from January 5th to January 1st for my wife and child. I did not realize this because I did not check this date change because I request date change only for the onward journey and they had no business changing dates for our return journey. I have all the chat transcripts, quotes to prove they were wrong. Now I have been battling them to fix this issue since it is their fault and Makemytrip.com has been non-responsive most of the time and they say I will be charged money to have this travel dates fixed. They are trying to get away with this incorrect business practise.I feel cheated and misguided by this company and they are not willing to fix this issue for me. I am so ready to sue this company!
