    Dear All,

    It has been an annoying and frustrating experience of dealing with Makemytrip. I made a booking on 11 March 2011 for a trip from London to Delhi and paid 24,539 from my account with oriental bank of commerce. The payment was deducted from my account but booking ID was not generated. I call them immediately and they told me it will take 6 hours for me to get my booking ID.

    6 hours passed but nothing happened. I called them again on 12 march 2011 and they told me that they will refund the amount within 3 working days and gave me a confirmation number in 1103r0059373. They also told me to send a mail with my bank statement to [protected]@makemytrip.com. I got a Reference ID:[protected] for this email. this email said they will contact me within 24 hours but no reply till date.

    3 working days got over on march 16 and i called them again on march 17 2011. they said that payment is stuck with payment gateway and they cannot do anything.

    Now should I go to the court to get my money back or to some other agency.

      Hi All,
      I booked my bus ticket in Makemytrip.com from Tuticorin to Chennai in PVT travels. I got the ticket confirmed. During the date of Journey, I was shocked to know that the seats which i booked through online were occupied by another guy. Perinba vilas travels,chennai guys allocate the seats to Agent in tuticorin without checking the status of Seats. Guys in Tuticorin Office was not answered properly, they ask us to go for Consumer Court if needed. After a long follow-up with Chennai office, they agree that the seats are booked through makemytrip. They promised me to provide the alternative seats, but on that day there was only one seat available. Finally after a long struggle they agree to refund the amount. It was extremely bad experience. I request you guys not to book any ticket in PVT travels online.Perinba vilas travels is allocating the seats with out checking the Online Booking status.
      Just shared my experience with you, don’t get into such critical situation.

      Its really very very bad !!! I booked 2+1 executive coach from tirunelveli to chennai for 1st Sep, 2011 (7.15pm). But I got only normal bus with push back seat which was very worst than Govt. SETC. Even the side mirror was not there in that bus.
      Please dont be fooled by them again. Its my kind advice to all. Thanks

        Dear Sir,

        I would like bring you attention towards the monetary loss occurred by me due to carelessness of Driver from " Karthik travels" Driver name is-

        I travelled to banglore-Mysore-Ooty during 27.12.2010 to 01.01.2011 which was booked through make My Trip through Vocher ID INW1011B00015 & NF[protected]

        This tour package was inclusive of Air Travel from Mumbai to banglore & return, Sightseeing & transfers through non A/c indica car, & hotel accommodation at mysore & ooty.

        Our returned flight of Banglore to mumbai was originally sheduled at 20.20 hrs on 01,01.2011 but it was cancelled , this intimation we got from Air India customer care & not from you.

        Air india has given option to us of 17.00 hrs flight on the same day & accordingly we intimated the ssame to our tour driver on 31.12.2010 i.e. previous day of flight departure.

        On returning we left Ooty by 8.00 a.m. actually which was supposed to left it by 5.30 p.m. atleast , this was we also discussed with Karthik Travels tour driver & he also agreed that since to reach banglore from ooty it will take at least 8-9 hours we have to left ooty early in the morning as we have to board 17.00 hrs as per revised sheduled.

        but while returning due to negligence of Driver of kartik travels as he woke up late & came late because of we left ooty at 8.00 a.m. due to which we arrived aty Banglore Airport too late i.e by 17.10 hrs acutely we suppose to to reach Airport before 40 minutes as per Air port authority policy.

        Since we missed our flight i booked another flight of Spice Jet which cost us Rs. 10866/-

        therefore its my humble request that kindly guide me about how i can get compensation from Make My trip for this.

        I have all the releavent documents as proof.

          I have been contacted many times customer care of Makemytrip to get the refund amount of ticket canceled.
          But still I didn't get the amount and no one is responding.
          I have sent signed required documents for refund amount for Ticket cancellation on Feb 7th 2011 but still today - Feb 26th 2011 not received refund amount.

          Please let me know when will refund amount will deposit into my account.


          Attached are required docs sent in Feb 7th 2011 as per customer care department.
          Ticket Cancellation refund amount not yet received

            4.Various Mail & Tele follow up with MMT. ( Have not kept a count)

            5.Have been asked to wait for various periods ( 7 working days, 72 working hours, 21 days from the Credit Note date . last being 3-4 days from Mr. Ahuja on 22nd Feb’2011)

            6.Today- 25th Feb’2011 ( 1 Month & 4 days) – STILL AWAITING THE CREDIT IN MY ACCOUNT.

            EVERY TIME I CALL THEM A NEW CALL CENTER TALKS AND THEN ASKS ME TO WAIT FOR 21 DAYS.
            THEY DO NOT ESCALATE THE CALL TO THE SUPERVISOR, AND EVEN IF THEY DO THE SUPERVISOR ALSO GIVES STANDARD REPLY.

            PLEASE HELP
            HAVE WAITED FOR 35 DAYS FOR THE REFUND AND HAVE NO SATISFACTORY ANSWER FROM MMT. EVEN TODAY THE AGENT TOLD ME TO WAIT FOR 21 DAYS AND DISCONNECTED THE LINE.

            ALL MMT SUFFERERS PLEASE UNITE AND TAKE THIS UP.

            Make My Trip — Refund not credited even after 40 days from cancellation Of Flight Booking

            These are the details of my booking and cancellation on Make My trip.

            Booking ID- NF[protected],
            Cancellation Number IN1101R0090270,
            Credit Note Number NF22655506 dated.[protected]

            Since 4th of Feb'2011 I have been following up with Make My Trip that the refund is not credited to my accounts. Keep getting standard reply " we have processed the refund on 4th" . I have been asked to wait for various periods - 72 working hours, 7 working days, 21 working days , on several occasions.

            Till today 40 days after cancellation there is no sign of refund credit in my account.

              Payment was made using ICICI Banks Net Banking Gateway.
              even after follow up by mail & Phone almost on a daily basis even After 1month 5 days there is no refund credit in my account.
              Very casual attitude of Call Center Agents. No one seem to be bothered about my refund.

                I purchased a flight ticket from MakeMyTrip - Booking ID NF.............. and I also availed a Taxi service from their Vendor EasyCabs for a service charge of Rs.20/- and the fare to be paid to the driver directly which had an offer of FLAT 10% DISCOUNT. However the taxi vendor havent sent any details, and upon my call to them they took the booking on the phone... the customer care agant confirmed there are no discounts available and the complete fare has to be paid to teh driver. And also checked any issue about the discount or teh voucher has to be checked and validated by MakeMy Trip.

                I called makemytrip and they said its not the case ... the Vendor has to give discount... ulrimately I had to cancel the cab and arrange it myself. All these discount offers are just to con customers and MMT has no valur for customers business and time. The need to put a priority on customers for the simple reason that they exist in the market, else thecustomers will take their business elsewhere.

                  I would like to bring to your notice incomplete information provided by Makemytrip.com while booking the ticket and behavior of customer support people from Make my trip. I had booked a flight ticket from Varanasi to Delhi for 3rd of March 2011 and wanted to change it to 25th Feb 2011. When I called up your support center first time I was informed that I am
                  traveling with Infant and he is not sure if changes for infant are
                  chargeable by Jet Airways or not. He took my number with a promise he
                  will call me back within an hour. This never happened .
                  I waited for more than 4 hours and called up again and this time a
                  new person picked the phone and obviously the price that was to be
                  charged for changes to my travel was different. Not only that they
                  cannot bill it to my credit card because they want One time Password.
                  I am traveling from Singapore and I had booked the ticket from
                  Singapore only and no where in the printout it mentions I need one
                  time password for any changes.It mentions about the fees that make my
                  trip and airlines will charge but not about OTP. When I asked the
                  support person that I want to talk to your senior the phone was hung up on
                  me.

                  I NEED TO BRING THIS TO NOTICE OF ALL THE PEOPLE WHO USE MAKEMYTRIP AND WHEN THEY LAND IN NEW PLACE AND HAVE TO CHANGE TRVALE PLANS DUE TO PERSONAL REASON THEY ARE IN FOR A TROUBLE.

                  Make My Trip — incomplete flights

                  Hello,
                  My name is Michael Osei Bailey. I booked a flight from Koh Samui, Thailand to Goa with makemytrip.com and I was supposed to change flights in Bangkok and Mumbai to arrive in Goa with Thai Airways, Jet Airways and Kingfisher Airways on the 22nd April. The booking i.d is FLTINT[protected] and the PNR number is 3YAAVZ. When I got to Bangkok I was asked to pay for my excess baggage which came to 7,900THB after I paid 1,200THB on the Thai airways flight. I also didn't apply for an Indian visa because I thought that they would put a visa stamp in my British passport when I arrive in India. Therefore I couldn't complete the journey. My ticket is refundable but I am wondering if I can change the dates for me to travel when I get the visa at no extra cost with Jet airways and Kingfisher airways. The whole trip cost me just over 22,000 THB but there was no specification that it was an open ticket. Is it possible that I have the right to redeem the flights at a later date?

                    I had planned my hone-moon trip HYD-GOA and Come back for the period 19 - 22 Feb 2011, After spending one hour in cab and paying a good amount when I reached to Kingfisher Counter they explained me that the Ticked issue by Make my trip is not a correct one . A long telephonic call with Make my Trip Customer care and lot of channel also not able to give any reason why I am not able to travel. Here is attached air tickets .

                    I do not know what happen with my hotel booking .

                    Even I do not know when Again I can make the plan again. I will check Make my trip in Consumer Forum and Seek my answer for this .

                      I am going through an ordeal with Makemytrip.com. I chose Makemytrip to book a vacation for some friends visiting from outside India thinking that it would be convenient to have one agency responsible for all the hotels and cab, etc.

                      Initially, everything went off well. They were able to find a decent itinerary and a decent price. Disaster stuck a few days later when on checking the hotel and cab vouchers I found that I had been listed as the passenger instead of my friends. I informed Makemytrip about it and for days they claimed that they were working on updating the vouchers. Finally, when it was the day before the trip I frantically called them and they assured me that I would get the revised vouchers that evening. I was relieved when the vouchers arrived with no mistakes in them.

                      However, the next morning I was horrified to find out that the taxi that came to receive them was refusing to take them because the taxi company had not been informed by Makemytrip about the correction in the voucher. It took an hour and calls by me to Makemytrip, the cab driver and the cab company owner to get their journey started.

                      All seemed to be going smoothly until this morning. My friends were trying to check out from their hotel in Thekkady but were not allowed to because the hotel had not yet been paid by Makemytrip. I spent over 2 hours on the phone with both Makemytrip and the hotel to help my friends check out. Makemytrip's representative, Nausheen Mansuri kept making excuses that the payment was made already and that their was some problem with the transfer. I told them that if there was a problem, it should be sorted out between the hotel and Makemytrip. My friends had paid Makemytrip in full and did not deserve the rest of their vacation to be ruined by justing waiting at the reception cluelessly.

                      After so many calls the truth finally emerged. Makemytrip had not made the transfer. Since Makemytrip does not enjoy any credit with the hotel (because of previous payment problems), the hotel staff called Makemytrip to get the transfer done but Makemytrip was lazy, incompetent and uncaring. They actually had the audacity to tell the hotel to keep the guests waiting till the transfer came through and then after that stopped taking calls from the hotel. To me, Makemytrip's representative, Nausheen Mansuri, lied that the problem was at the hotel end. At first I was willing to give Makemytrip the benefit of the doubt until they started cutting my call and refusing to put me in touch with their supervisor.

                      As I write it has been almost 2.5 hours that my friends have been waiting at the hotel with no solution in sight. They still have another 4 days left on their vacation and I shudder to think what else Makemytrip will screw up. Already they have wasted over 2.5 hours which could have been spent on the houseboat from Alleppey to Kumarakkom. I am expecting that Makemytrip resolves this problem and compensates my friends for their lost time.

                      My name is Prateek. I booked the tour package from Make trip to Kerala for 8 days 7 nights. Where they have given the stay in diffrent locations. There was a stay of 1 night on hose boat in Alleppy but we felt totally unsatisfied as the food given was not as per our selection and the preparation in the house boat in not up to the mark.

                        Below is my complaint I sent on Feb 2nd, 2011 to Ms. Chadha from Make My Trip New York Office for travel arrangements made from USA to India. I am waiting and still no action on it, I just cant believe this company is such a Unprofessional, uncaring, giving fraud service to its customers

                        November 25th I am browsing for booking a flight ticket to India one way. I am excited to finally meet my family after three and half years. After some friends recommendations I go to Make My trip web site. I go to see that it’s an Indian online travel booking company. It also says no. 1 choice for NRI, India's No. 1 Travel Company and a lot of other stuff. I say why not it’s my country’s company and I can trust them and I want my business to go to them. I went to the Chat option and start chatting with Mr. Sharma. Reference ID: [[protected]] Chat session. I give him my travel details and also mention I need an airline ticket which do not require TRANSIT VISA. He acknowledges it and books me a flight on Kuwait Airlines and assures me that no transit visa is required, The flight will depart from JFK Airport to Mumbai and samll stop over in Kuwait for flight Change.

                        December 23, 2010 I reach JFK airport, stand in line for boarding pass of Kuwait Airlines. I reached the counter and the agent tells me that the flight stops at London Heathrow Airport and I need a transit Visa for Britain to board. I am kind of shocked. I went ahead and spoke to the reservation manager at Kuwait Airlines Booking. He says the same thing. I tried explaining him that my booking agent from Make My Trip conformed me that I do not need a transit visa for this flight. But the reservation manager tells me that he can’t allow me to board the airlines. I call Make My Trip, the agent tells me that Make My Trip booking is right and the flight doesn’t need a Transit Visa and the agent mentions at no point I informed them in chat that I need a booking without a transit visa. I am kind of confused and then I thought I would deal with this matter once I reach India.

                        The agent tells me that he would cancel my Kuwait airlines ticket and book me another flight. He books me at Jordanian Airlines which costs me $2381. MakeMyTrip Booking No.US1012B02117. I stand in the queue of Jordanian airlines, now Jordan Airlines reservation agent says that I need a transit visa for Abu Dhabi and refuses to give me boarding pass. I call make My Trip again. After all the chat, they cancel my booking on Jordanian Airlines and book me on Emirates Airlines MakeMyTrip Booking No : US1012B02117. This costs me more $300. Total Cost of Flight now is $3616 one way. ($935+$2381+$300)

                        I arrived India and get sick for 3 days. The first thing I do is check my Chat Transcript of booking my on Kuwait airlines. In the chat I specifically mentioned the visa I hold and also went on to inform the booking agent that I need a flight ticket which do not require Transit Visa. The booking agent acknowledged it and booked me on Kuwait airlines. Its just hight of cheating a customer.

                        I contact Customer care of Make My Trip in India and they tell me that I have to chat with customer care on US website. In about 2 weeks or so I get my refund of $935 (Kuwait Airlines Booking Refund).
                        I contact Customer care though Chat. I explain the agent everything and told him that it wasn’t customer’s mistake if the booking agent booked a wrong flight after having all the information about the customer and specifically mentioning about the Visa Status. It was solely Make My Trip’s mistake of not having updated info of the flight they are booking there customers on. I also tell him that I am willing to be responsible for $935 which was my initial charges for my travel arrangements and my $2681 should be returned back to me. (Now after $935 refund I expect $1746 to be refunded back to me) The agent says Sir, the manager is not present right now and somebody will get back to me with a resolution in 48hrs.                         I contact customer care again for another 3 more times through chat and I do not get a resolution and I have been ignored and the agents were very unhelpful:

                        I have called 4 times on US website booking no. (1800INDIA10) to customer care of make my trip, I needed to talk to manager and the answer given to me was that the manager was busy and also not available. My calls were dropped and very unprofessionally handled and the agents spoke to me rudely.
                        I belong to hospitality field, and I worked for hotels l like Hilton and Leela’s. I can’t believe such a reputed company can do this to a customer.

                        I feel that I got cheated and there is no value of service rendered to me from Make My Trip. My reservation wasn't handled properly by Make My trip even though I made my travel plans way in advance and caused me lot of inconvenience.

                        I rate this business the worst business I have ever come across. I would take my business to some other web site who really cares about there customer and recommend all my friends through social networking sites.

                          I made a booking for my travel using makemytrip. I was charged double by mistake and I was assured that the extra charged would be refunded to my credit card account within a week. However this has not happened and the Call center executives and the Booking consultant are clueless.

                          I'm unable to use my credit card. Because of this my I have exceeded the maximum amount I can spend using the credit card which would be cause for penalty in my next statement.

                              HI , I had canceled my ticket on 16 Jan which was booked through Make My Trip. The cancellation was done directly through the Airline.I am still waiting for the refund which was supposed to have happened in 7 working days. I keep calling the agency but never get a satisfactory answer. I was hung up so many times by them.The booking ID for make my trip is" NF[protected] " . As per the website Cancellation Reference No: IN1101R0081924.Expected Refund Date Wed, 26 Jan' 2011.Approx Refund Amount Rs. 12611 *. Till date I am struggling to get my refund back.
                              Need your help please.

                                I have booked a international flight ticket between singapore to chennai ticket thru make my tirp and i have asked for a date change and they have cheched and charged a fare of addl 4,000 rs and confimed to issue the ticket in 3 to 6 hrs time Ref number IN 1102R0013503 .no reply or response even after 12 hours then called up again to check they told now the fare is increased you need to pay addtional 5, 000 Rs. then i asked why i need to pay this difference before of the error from the make my trip side. The call was put on hold for 30 min with no response at all......... this is kind of service i never expected from Make my trip. Then i have to disconnect the international call atfter 30 MIn..................

                                Then i have to call again and just paid the addl fare without mentioning any other stuff.. i do not want again the call put on hold and disconneted!!! It is very very painful to speak with customer care executives of Make my trip and get things done........be cool with lot of Patience

                                I have booked a International ticket from Make my trip. from Hyderbad to Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and Dubai to hyderabad. we have asked for change of dates and initially they said it is no possible again continuosly calling to the call center number they have agreed and later agreed to change the dates of travel with extra dates change charges and additional difference in the flight fare. we have agreed to pay it. but now they are saying the tickets are not available till December. And not disconneting the calls.

                                And every disconnection it will be a hell as when we call again we will be attended by other executive, so we need to tell them whole story again. but lastly they just keep the phone. Can any of the authority take some action on this kind of service providers.

                                  and got a Refund Confirmation Mail from your side also on Oct 29th.
                                  BUT the money is not yet come to my Bank Account.

                                  I already had a talk to my Bank Manager about it.
                                  They checked and found that they didn't received any money from your side.

                                  I also talk to Makemytrip Customer Care Executive 20 - 30 times regarding this issue, but nothing had happen till now. Its more than 3 months now, I haven't got the money.

                                    I booked one trip to Delhi-Kathmandu-Pokhra-Kathmandu-Delhi on dated 20 December 2010.The booking agent was Gopal and the (Booking id IN1012B08276).The trip was for couple and booked in the name of myself. The Air fair involved Delhi-Kathmandu-Delhi.While booking the trip I did not received any Break-up of the Amount except the Air fair.(it was told to me by Gopal that Air fair was Rs.22,000/ and Hotel was 3 star(hotel fair not informed) and car rental not informed. The entire trip cost Rs.42,000/. Which was paid by using the Credit card at that time only[protected].

                                    But due some unavoidable circumstances I compelled to cancelled the entire booking on[protected]. At the time cancelletion from one of your Travel advisor through phone I came to know that the Air fair was approx Rs.28,000/(or some amount more than that) from which Rs.4,000 was to be deducted and rest of the amount will be refunded in two installment(that is 50%+50%).

                                    One refund was sucessfully processed of Rs.12,270/ for which mail was attached below. but for the next 50%(Rs.12,270) refund I made a call to make my trip several times and matter got escalated but issue not resolved yet.

                                    The unprocessed refund money is big amount. My humble request to you please resolve this issue and arrange refund to my credit card and please also verify why information is not given in proper manner at the time of booking.

                                    I hope you will look into the sincerely able to resolve this asap.

                                      I had booked Air tickets with Make my Trip in the month of May 2010. The Air India flight was cancelled due to their Strike. I was completely mis guided by Air India & Make my Trip about the refund process for almost 3-4 months. I was harassed by Make my Trip and Air India by telling me different & weird ways of requesting for a refund which actually were not correct. But then when I spoke to a senior person @ Make my Trip by escalating this matter, I was given correct info to request for the refund.

                                      Refund Process - E-Ticket to be endorsed by Air India and then sent to Make my Trip as a scanned document. Once verified the refund will be initiated with 7 working days from the day of receipt of the scanned doc. It might take another week for the Customers Bank to process the same and Credit the customers A/c.

                                      I was told by the Customer Service executives from Make my Trip in October 2010 that I will have to send them a soft copy of the E-Ticket which is endorsed by Air India and the above mentioned Refund process would be followed once the scanned docs are received by Make my Trip.
                                      Since October 2010 I've sent the scanned docs to Make my Trip at least 3-4 times. However Make my Trip is so incompetent that they say they have processed the refund but their Accounts Dept has put the refund on hold for no reason (Reason unknown even to the supervisors @ Make my Trip.)
                                      Despite of regular follow ups with Make my Trip since Nov 2010 I've not received a single call from Make my Trip regarding this issue neither have I received any positive response from them.
                                      Every time I speak to a Floor Supervisor at the Make my Trip Call centre, they either ignore my situation or they promise to call me back after checking the status of my refund, but I've not received a single phone call or an email on this subject.
                                      I've even warned them that if I'm forced to seek legal help and pursue them legally then a few people who've not fulfiled their responsibilities towards me as their customer would definitely be loosing their jobs. But no one seems to take me seriously on that.

                                      Also to add to it, I've spent nearly Rs.1000 INR to contact them over the phone and send them the scanned documents every time they ask for it.And not to forget the phsycological stress I've been going thru.

                                      Request you to please advise me further on this as I'm unable to continue contacting them every week since I've a very very busy work schedule.
