I did a bus ticket booking through MakeMyTrip online service but i did not receive the ticket details to the mail ID or contact no. The booking details are:

I contacted MakeMyTrip customer care on 11th June2011 and was told that booking was not confirmed and within 72hrs payment will be refunded.But i have not yet received my payment.I generated a complaint in MakeMyTrip(Reference ID:#[protected].Whenever i send a mail with that Ref.ID to MakeMyTrip,it reverts that i would receive a reply shortly,but nver happened.

I had booked two tickets for vaishno devi trip but after charging full amount from my account they cancelled my tickets and now they are not returning my money back. I have tried a lot for refund.       I have done the booking with your agency and later cancelled the same on 20th May. This was confirmed via mail dated 20th May 2011.(trailing mail)

      I have confirmed the refund amount via your call center to be Rs.32000/-. But the refund till date effected to my account is Rs. 20000/- only. I have raised a complaint via your call center and the complaint ref no quoted by your representative Mr. Nishanth was IN1106R0002290

      In spite of all this the balance refund amount has not been credited till date. Please look into the same and take immediate action.

        I booked several airline tickets through online website www.makemytrio.com on 1st June, 2011 and cacelled them on 4th June, 2011. They are not refunding my money against cancelled e-tickets. Contacting them on phone is most difficult work because of intervention of computerised phone operation. I complained through Customer Feedback Service and they responded with an assignment of their Reference ID[protected]. But they are not making payment to my bank. This is unethical and gross dishonesty on their part. Kindly help me through your resources in getting my refund.         MakeMytrip India Pvt Limited — Refund of money

        Dear sirs,
        I had booked a onward and retrun ticket from Hyderabad to Delhi on November 25th 2010 through make mytrip website for travel on Nov 26th 2010 through Spicejet. Due to indefinite delay/rescheduling of flights I was forced to cancel my travel to delhi and cancelled the tiket over telephone on my way to Airport. The officials over phone confirmed me that they have cancelled the tiket and a refund of Rs. 12061/- will be made in 7 working days. Unfortunately the refund has not been made till December 09, 2010. ( after 11 working days). On enquiry from makemytrip today I am beng told that due to non updation of my cancellation in their records, the refund was not made and they are expressing that the same would be refunded in another 7 working days. As I made the transaction through my credit card, I am forced to make payment to the Bank for a transaction which was due for reversal. And now again I need wait and take a reversal in the next credit card statement and to realise back my money I will be forced to make another transaction of 12061 through the same card.
        Kindly help me to get my refund back in the form of a cheque or transfer to my bank account. And also take action against Make mytrip for fooling people and enjoying money with out rendering any service.
        Representative Mr. Akshay Maini of MakeYy Trip contacted me on 17/06/11 and sent an email to furnish him bank details. I immediately sent the bank details to him (Akshay.[protected]@makemytrip.com & [protected]@makemytrip.com). Since then I am reminding them daily. Today I shot off Reminder No.-7.           Dear All Friends,

          Make my trip is only making people to fool.

          Pl remain away from this fraud company. This company aim is to only make copmission rather than satisfy the customers.

          In my case they also cheat me. I have booked hotel thaugh them. My ID is NH[protected]. for booking hotel in Shimla from 10/06/11 to 12/06/11 (ie 02 days) they have charged 8293/- too much money.
          In their confirmation mail they have committed as executive roo in a executive single star hote.

          But in actually the hotel is very IIIrd class hotel in very poor location.

          We have talked hotel manager then he said that " why you have booked thraugh My Trip. you should make booking directly. They only make high comission."

          I conjecture to saw that hotel manager is giving those rooms in only 1000/- which we are booked.

              On 8th June, 2011, I tried to book an airticket from Trivandrum to Bangalore by Indigo Airlines with www.makemytrip.com . I tried paying with my Icici bank credit card an amount of Rs.2,834/-. Due to low session timeout (a technical defect in makemytrip.com) the session was timed out and I received a mail from makemytrip.com with following details:

              Within a few minutes I received an alert from Icici bank that an amount of Rs.2,834/- was deducted from my credit card for the failed transaction. I immediately called the Customer Care division of makemytrip.com at[protected] and the Customer care representative informed me that the amount will be refunded shortly and there is no need to worry and transferred me to sales department for another booking. I was on hold for nearly 15 minutes and nobody from the sales department was responding to my calls. Since the flight was at 5.45 PM and since I had only 2 hours left, I tried the online booking again and it was successful. I received a booking confirmation mail from makemytrip.com with the following details:

              A further amount of Rs.2,834/- was paid and the matter was again informed to their customer care. I informed icici bank credit card division regarding the debit for the failed transaction and to initiate a chargeback if makemytrip claimed the amount.

              On 10th makemytrip claimed both the amounts and I called their customer care personnel Poonam Nagure (Call Reference No: 1106B05103) and she assured that the amount will be refunded within 48 hours. I received an e-mail from Chitra Jha (Reference No:[protected] stating the following:

              We have forwarded your concerned to our concerned department.We request you to wait for 48 working hours

              Till 13th evening there was no response from makemytrip and I send an e-mail again and here is the reply I got from Chitra Jha on 14th June, 2011:

              With reference to your email about the refund status for Booking ID IN1106B05103, we understand there has been a delay and we have forwarded your query to the concerned department. We request you to provide us 72 working hours to resolve the same. We will continue to follow up on the request to get your refund processed in due course.

              48 hours has been revised to 72 working hours...I have send them all the relevant details and called them several times and still they are not refunding the amount wrongly deducted from my account for a failed transaction.

              1. How can they charge me for a failed transaction???
              2. How can a customer rely on makemytrip.com. An e-mail send to [protected]@makemytrip.com bounced.
              3. If we call their customer care department we need to explain the whole story again even after providing the Reference ID. I called Roopali on 13th and even after providing a reference Id she was unable to understand what the matter is??? From this we can understand the way Customer relationship is managed at makemytrip.com . They have no proper systems in place and there is lack of professionalism.
              4. Just now I have send an e-mail to Chitra Jha that I will wait for 72 working hours. After that I am going to approach the media (including Press and Televison) to make the public aware of the dangers hidden while dealing with makemytrip.com and their lack of customer care. I am going to approach the consumer court too. I need to get a reply on how they have charged me for a failed transaction???
              5. I received a e-mail from my bank on 13th, that they have initiated charge back proceedings on makemytrip.com for the false claim.
              6. We need to think twice before dealing with makemytrip.com . They work like a government organization with inordinate delay in refunding an amount which they have falsely claimed for a failed transaction.
              7. I am waiting for their reply to initiate further steps and I will inform this forum regarding further developments.

              Make My Trip — refund of air ticket

              i got air ticket cancelled on 27/09/2009 with details as under

              This is very shocking experience i got from Makemytrip. I was booked domestic ticket on 19th Feb 2010 (FLT[protected]).For Single Booking amount(Rs2994=00) was debited twice from my account. I talked to customer care they told me the amount will get credited on your account within two working days. With lots of disscussion one of the customer care executive agree that mistake has happen from their end only and will refund amount in 7 working days but almost 30 days over but still haven't received amount. I callled them again and i need to explain the whole story to that guy but still he is not agree with what i am saying he want me to send my bank statement again. This is rediculous.
              Very worst service provider... go for yatra.com it is one of the best service provider...

              Make My Trip — No refund after 8 working days

              Never go for Maky My Trip.

              I tried booking a flight ticket on 30-Jun-2010 through MakeMyTrip.com. The transaction failed two times and I lost Rs.11958/- in each transaction. My booking referance id is IN1006B12064. When I call the customer care I get a reply that the case has already been escalated to concerned dept and I will receive the refund within next 7 working days. I think the customer care executives have been trained to give this reply because I am so used to hearing it. I was also told that on 9-Jul-2010 I would get a response from accounts dept. But I never received any. On contacting the customer care I was assured of getting a response on 10-Jul-2010. This time also I was unlucky. On cantacting again they assured me of getting response from account dept on 12-Jul-2010.Guess what I was unlucky the third time. On 9-Jul-2010 I received the refund for the first transaction. Till now I have not received the refund for the second transaction. The customer care is pathetic that cannot give me Refund Reference Number.

              Once again I adive every one to avoid Make My Trip. They donot value for the customer's money.

              It is actually the ICICI payment ID (while making the flight booking) that you have provided. The bank has also confirmed that they donot have any pending amount in my account.

              The case was already escalated to the concerned dept by 6-Jul. I was told that I would get a reply within 72 hrs, but I never received any reply till date. But I see that when I raise the issue in public domain atleast I get responses promptly. So does this mean, I should approach some other means (other than customer care support) to receive my refund.

              It's regarding my refund money.
              I have booked trip of kerala in december. After paying money thru netbankinfg,Mr .shailesh saxena (tele-caller from delhi, phone number - [protected]) said that air ticket is costly if pay fully thru netbanking. He requested me that pay it through credit card. After that ...One of my friend has paid (thru credit card)for air ticket. thus makemytrip has extra of my money. That is incident of 20th september 2010.ur customer caller Mr. Shailesh [protected]@delhi, told me that it'll take 3 to 7 days to refund. After that he is saying it'll take 10 days.He is saying now, he has forwarded my mail to his seniors but they didn't revert...now he is asking to call on their toll free number. are sites like makemytrip for our comfort or we sud spend all over day on complaining on their toll free number. Today is 13th october and I haven't received my money back. I dont know whetehr they people are joking Or befooling customer.. it is simple mental harressment.MY BOOKING ID: INW1009B00253..I dont know how would be my trip but it is sure that I wont recommend makemytrip to anyone.

              Makemytrip.com — NOT GETTING THE REFUND

              I had cancelled a PNR for my ticket through the airline from Mumbai to Calicut on 01-Aug-2011. The airline said it will take 10 days to get the refund. After 10 days when i called the Airline people they said the amount has been credited to the travel agent i.e Make Mytrip. After i called 4 times i was able to confirm the cancellation from Makemytrip on 12th August. They said 3 working days for the credit to my account. Today 18.08.2011 I have received half of the amount which was shown by Makemytrip in their site. Today I called makemytrip.com they said some more days required for creditting the amount. Kindly look into the matter. I am attaching the refund shown by the airline and makemytrip.com.
              This is the 2nd time, i have had problem with the ticket cancellation with makemytrip. After last time i had almost stopped using makemytrip.

              Canceled 2 tickets and the total refund should have been Rs. 3566 wherein they made a calculation mistake (i have a feeling that it is intentional, as same thing happened last time) and returned Rs 988. I spoke to almost 4 of their customer care executive at several occasions. All of them accepted the fault and promised to rectify withing 48 hours. One of them did try to negate my claim citing some weird reason and after i insisted disconnected without resolving .

              Nothing happened.

              Then i made a call to their nearest office, the lady assistant manager again made a similar promise and nothing happened.

              The thing is if its Makemytrip's fault why should i loose money calling their guys and wasting my precious time. I am formally writing a complain and would like to elevate the case to concern departments and agencies .

              I have observed many complaints like this on many of the forums.

              Air tickets — deduction of amount

              i had booked 3 return tickets for srinagar to delhi for the date 5th feb and return on 12th feb 2012,where the transaction was done twice for the amount of rupees 17115,total amount of 34230.the transaction numbers are S34576587 and S34577646.i dont want the confirmation now,i want the complete refund.please help!
              I have made 1 AIRINDIA BOOKING ticket from makemytrip.com on 26-Feb-2012.
              AIR INDIA itself cancelled the ticket on 13-MAR-2012. Due to rubbish schedule of air India, instead of taking a risk , I have cancelled my both to and fro tickets through mail.
              A commitment was made that the money will be refunded within 10days. Till now no amount has been refunded to my Credit Card. I called them on daily basis to verify whats the issue is. AIR INDIA did not refund the same.
              After cancelling the ticket, the money should have refunded. A customer cant call them again and again and raise the complaints. I think , people should not make use of makemytrip and AIR INDIA EXPRESS as both companies are providing a complete rubbish service to the customers. These both companies don't have have answer that who is going to pay late fee of credit card bill (AED 159.00 i.e. 2194.00 INR). What the hell is..?

              Booked a package tour to Kerala. Was supposed to get three star hotels but got very poor rooms. Whole trip was spoiled. Despiterepeated efforts the executives or his supervisor could not be contacted
              Will never book through Make my Trip
              On 20th Nov 2018, I have booked Hotel Aloft in Gangtok through Make My Trip Booking ID NH[protected], PNR [protected] check in 26/12/18 and check out 28/12/18 and paid an amount of Rs.5384/- through Netbanking. Due to some urgency and unavoidable circumstances I could not make a trip to Gangtok and on 25/12/18 I have requested MMT to cancel the hotel booking and refund the amont paid to hotel. Now MMT is saying that cancellation is not under refund policy and the amount will not be refunded. I am unable to understand such a reputed concern like Make My Trip is taking such type of decissions. I hope that Make My Trip is cheating the public like this and why not strong and disciplinary action to be taken against MMT.

              Request you to look into the matter to refund the amount of Rs.5384/-.

                Makemytrip ( India) Pvt. Ltd. — Ticket cancelled amount not refunded

                Dear Sir/Madam,

                Ref.Our Booking ID: NF[protected],We booked one ticket for Delhi to Patna on dated 4th April' 2011 through M/s Make Mytrip (India) Pvt. Ltd. and journey date was 9th April'2011 . However, we cancelled ticket on 8th April '2011 but till the date they didn't refund my money .

                When we called to Customer Care Deptt. of M/s Make Mytrip ( India) Pvt. Ltd. for its refund on dated 16th April '2011,one of his employee attend my call ( Mr. Aanand Kumar) and after take my complain he give one Ref.no. Ref.IN1104R0083432 at Time -4.15 pm . He told me, Your refund money will be tfrd within 5 working days but till the date they didn't refund. However, after that we called 2-3 times and always they saying ...its under processand you will get refund within 2 days .

                We humble request to you, kindly look the matter and take a action against that.

                  I recently booked ticket from Chennai-Phoenix for my family. When i tried to book the Bassinet seat for my infant and i found out that the actual airlines itself is charging less than MakeMyTrip. MakeMyTrip has charged me 400$ over the airlines price. When i called them for price match, they are talking about all unnecessary rules and will not refund. So please, please think thrice before booking with Make My Trip.

                    Dear sir/ Madam,
                    I wanted to go out on a holiday package with my wife, so opted to go to Phuket (Thailand) for 4Nights & 5 Days package through Make My Trip. As per our agreement (Booking ID: INW1104B00609) I was been told that the departure date is 31/ May and that I need to make the entire payment before that. By 28th May I made the full payment. As I was under the impression that the departure date is 31st/ May so I took my official leaves according to that, but on 30th evening I was really shocked to read the mail (which happened coincidently) by Make my Trip Agent Shailesh Vanzara that my departure date is 30th and not 31st. With just having merely 3 hours in hand I had to skip all my important meetings from my office which will definetely bring a huge monetory loss and bad impact on my final appraisals. I work with a Bank and showing this sort of attitude at the last moment due to some irresponsible agents and their company is not at all accepted. This is a serious concern and the accused deserves a stern action.

                      sir we booked a package in make my trip ., the name of the package is swiss paris deligth and our booking ID is INW1104B00377, AND we have paid the intial amount of Rs30000/- to wards booking and later on we appled for visa process. and they were asked to pay the money of Rs150000/- we have paid the amount of Rs 100000/- in ICICI account on line on the date 05/05/2011 . later we came to know the visa was reject . the visa was rejected on 3/05/2011. with out revealing the rejection of visa. trip agents were repeatedly asking us to pay the full amount . and we have got the visa rejection letter from swiss embassy. stating the rejection of visa . it was there unfurnished details which led to rejection of visa , later we asked them to return the money back . they were ignoring us .

                      the proofs we having are 1. ICICI bank foils
                      2. rejection of visa letter from the swiss embassy
                      kindly please do the needful and take the necessary action .

                        Hi,

                        I have made 7 railway tickets from makemytrip.com.
                        I cancelled the tickets on 18th May for all of my tickets.
                        A commitment was made that the money will be refunded within 7days. Till now no amount has been refunded to my Credit Card. I called them on 9th June to verify whats the issue is. They told that they cancelled the tickets on 18th and told their accounts team that money needs to be refunded and after that they were waiting for our call to raise the complaint again for money to be refunded.
                        After cancelling the ticket, the money should have refunded. A customer cant call them again and again and raise the complaints.

                          we hv booked a trip for france and switzerland ,swiss paris delight and we have paid the intial conformation amount for the package and we were asked to pay the whole amount saying that our visas are thruogh the embassy and we paid the whole amount after which we were informed that our visas r not through and when we went through the rejection copy furnished by the swiss embassy it was purely due to lack of furnishing the details by make my trip people for which we were denied visa and our doucmentation furnished by us was proper . it is purely cheatimg and unfair trade practice with the coustemer

                            I booked a train ticket for Agra from Make My Trip (India) Pvt. Ltd.103 Udyog Vihar Phase I
                            Gurgaon -122016 (Haryana) on 4/04/2011. The amount Rs 1563/- was deducted from my account but suddenly i got a mail from make my trip that booking was failed and we will get our amount back in 7 days, after that i am calling them everyday and they always come up with different excuses but they have not returned my amount till 25th may 2011. they have asked for our bank statement to prove that the amount was deducted from our account, that i did immediately. i am attaching the mails they have sent to us and still there is no end to the harassment. these persons are responsible for my case :-

                              Hi,

                              I am experiencing an ordeal thanks to Makemytrip. For a refund of a ticket directly cancelled through the airlines, they are asking for a Stamped Document which in the first place is never provided by the airlines i booked by ticket with - Aerosvit. Secondly nowhere on Makemytrip website does it mention about the Stamped Document needed for a refund.

                              Makemytrip website says -On receiving your confirmation, MakeMyTrip will validate the refund amount with the airline and then process the refund to your account-.

                              Is this cheating in the name of Stamped Document ?

                                i had made a booking with make my trip on 9 may 2011 for flights and hotel reservations for myself , my wife and daughter.

                                they had provided me with a deal of around Rs. 15,355 which includes flights booking two ways on 11th june 2011 and return on 16 june 2011 mumbai - goa- mumbai and stay at intercontinental lalit goa resort

                                Till today i have not received the Hotel booking confirmation ,

                                only flight booking will be of no use as where i will go and stay.

                                i had informed the same to them on several occasions to them on their hotline numbar but they used to keep my phone hang-up for 20-25 minutes and never used to reply to my queries.

                                  I booked holidays through makemytrip for himachal, delhi, agra and haridwar. I told them the places I

                                  want to visit, their representative miss janaki shah promised that we will be staying in all three star

                                  hotels. I was told the pakage would cost 60,000/- Rupees for 12 nights and the name of the hotels were

                                  also mentioned in the offer. They asked me to book air tickets first so that they can make hotel bookings

                                  accordingly. Which I DID on the same day as the offer was sent to me. Since I was outstation I told them

                                  that the payment would be made once I reach mumbai. After two days I reached mumbai and asked

                                  them about their account details, there was no option for depositing cheque and since I DID not want to

                                  do online transaction I chose the option to deposit cash into their account. When they send me the

                                  bank details I found they had revised my quote by about 4000/- Rupees and even the hotel were

                                  different than what were mentioned in the earlier offer. When I confronted them they claim that since

                                  you delayed the transaction by couple of days we can not gety bookings in the hotels promised earlier

                                  and also the cost has gone up. Now I has already purchased air tickets worth 21000/- And cancellation

                                  would have meant loss of 6000/- Rupees and more over the family was already looking forward to the

                                  holidays I decided to deposit the money hoping that it would be still a good holiday even though it is

                                  costing more than anticipated.

                                  The real horror started when we reached shimla. The hotel was about 15 kilometers away from shimla and it was fit enough to be a lodge and nowhere close to 3 star hotel. However we thought per haps the remaining hotels would be better. We came to manali and the hotel there was reasonable but when we landed at dharamshala the hotel was unbelievably shabby and not fit for staying my family refused to stay in the allotted rooms. I called up miss shah and had heated arguments with her. Finally the hotel manager upgraded our rooms. The hotel in delhi was not a hotel at all it was just a guesthouse in gurgaon. Hotel in agra was perhaps the worst of the lot. I have forwarded the photographs to miss janaki and I was told someone will get in touch with me but it has been 15 days since we came back and so far no one has contacted me. People go on holidays to unwind from the daily hustle bustle of life and to destress and spend some quality time together, but this holiday gave me more stress than ever.

                                    I had booked a hotel using Make My trip.com. I received a confirmation email from them which said "Thank you for using MakeMyTrip.com to book your hotel accommodation.
                                    For your reference, your MakeMyTrip Booking ID is NH[protected].
                                    Kindly note, your booking is CONFIRMED and you are not required to contact the hotel or MakeMyTrip.com to reconfirm the same. "

                                    When I got this email, I was under an impression that my booking has been confirmed and had all the peace of mind. I had proceeded with further bookings of Cab (Ex-Delhi) and went to Mcleodganj. When I reached the hotel with the MMT voucher, to my surprise there was no booking on my name. After searching for more than half an hour I realized that I have been cheated. I also learnt that I am not the first victim of MMT.

                                    Upon contacting Make my trip customer care, they first tried to put the blame on me and told that they had informed me about non-reservation, but when I told them about this email and the voucher they accepted their mistake and promised me to get back with alternate option in the same category hotel within half an hour. There was numerous phone calls and discussions with too many representatives from Make my trip only to let me know that they can't do anything now. Since there was heavy rush due to an IPL match on the same weekend, I did not get any vacant room in any hotel even after wandering in the town for almost 2-3 hours.

                                    I had to cancel my trip and come back all they way to Delhi. It had not only wasted my money (approximately Rs. 15000), but has also wasted our (me and my spouse) entire weekend. I never had to face such embarassment in my life. Such unprofessional and careless behaviour is not at all acceptable from such a reputed company.

                                      Its one month now since I am trying to get reund of Rs 106439.00 from MakeMytrip which I had transferred to MakeMyTrip ICICI account on 12/9/2010 to book international flight ticket from Delhi to NewYork for my parents. They couldn't book the ticket My ticket never booked, I am still waiting for the refund. Sometimes I am getting reply that Refund is processed sometimes they are saying its under process, but its not going anywhere. Please help me in getting the refund.

                                      Here is the story:

                                      I was trying to book the ticket from makemytrip.com website. I tried twice but I got some error message and couldn't book the ticket. After 5-10 mins I got an email from Vaneet.[protected]@makemytrip.com that there is some technical issue with the website that's why my ticket is not getting booked. I gave him my number, he called me and suggested to transferred amount to MakeMyTrip ICICI account. He sent me details for wire transfer. I transferred the amount to MakeMyTrip ICICI bank account no. xxxxxxxx0362.Vaneet gave me the amedeus number as 44AR9Y, I verified the information on ticket and he told me that he has hold the tickets once amount will be credited he will confirm it.
                                      Next day I got reply from him that he couldn't book the ticket as amount was not yet credited to MakeMyTrip account and booking has expired. If they will receive the amount then that will be refunded within 7 days.

                                      I checked my account it was debited. I confirmed with my bank (Citibank), they confirmed that amount is credited to MakeMyTrip ICICI account xxxxxxxx0362, they gave me UTR number (unique Transaction reference number) for this transaction as: CITIN[protected]

                                      I gave all the details to Vaneet Sethi but he stopped replying to my email. I tried calling his extension many times but got reply from reception is noone is picking. Then I wrote to feedback section of the website on 16/9/2010 and got case id as:[protected]. Since then I called around 7-8 times to customer care and wrote many emails, but couldn't get satisfactory reply. See below the series of emails, not able to conclude if they are really looking into this or just sending reply from a set of email templates.

                                      Refund by makemytrip.com not being made against cancelled tickets : I booked airline e-tickets through makemytrip.com on 1st June, 2011 paying vide internet banking. I got them cancelled on 4th June, 2011. From Ranchi, I seldom got connectivity with their customer complaint system. I emailed them through their Customer Service Feedback. But no response from them. It seems there is something fishy about their refund system.                                         Dear Sir/Madam,
                                        I had booked one air ticket by IC 602 from DEL to BOM on[protected]. The Booking ID was FLT[protected]. No PNR generated. The seat was not confirmed due to system error. I had lot of inconvenience that time. However, I tried a lot to take assistance of your customer care service but to no avail. No body was able to extend any help that time rather they adopted dilatory tactics in solving the problem. Later on, I called for refund of the fare and it was assured to be done within seven working days. After elapse of eight months, I am still waiting for the refund of Rs. 4544/-. Can you please help me to get my refund or I should get it through Consumer Court.
