I had booked 10 tickets (5 to and 5 return) for an upcoming family trip to Gangtok. My Booking id is NF[protected], booked on the 4th of Dec 2015. Invoice number is NF25731. I paid Rs 62, 924 for the 10 tickets, and now they say they will refund some Rs 1100/- in total after cancellation. Fare Calculation as per Invoice is this: Base Fare: Rs 10, 428 Passenger Service Fee: Rs 287 User Development Fee: Rs 1037 Other Surcharge: Rs 383 Total per passenger: Rs 12, 235 For 5 Passengers: Rs 61, 174 Plus Convenience Fee: Rs 1750 I am a very regular user of Make My Trip's services, and I am shocked at the way Make My Trip is trying to fleece me, and many other unsuspecting customers, with these clever strategies of hiding the Non-Refundable clause on flight bookings. I am sharing screen shots of the booking pages as they appear when you try to book these tickets, images are attached for reference. 1. Image 1: Flight selection page: Here, after selecting my flights for going and coming back, there is only one place in the page that says "FARE RULES". I have opened that in the image, and there is no mention whatsoever of the non-refundable clause here. MMT executive Mr Aman Tiwari (aman.[protected]@makemytrip.com), took 30 minutes while on call with me to discover that there is another link below individual fares called "DETAILS" that has Non-Refundable written. Very clever way MMT of hiding this very important piece of information. 2. Image 2: The booking page, again as per image attached, has absolutely no mention of the non-refundable status of the tickets that I am trying to book. 3. Image 3: Non-Refundable Fare rules according to Make My Trip: that says non-refundable fare means "tickets cannot be returned for a refund. However, if you cannot use your ticket, you may be able to apply its value toward a future flight within specified time frame as per the rules of the airlines. The airline may charge additional fees for changes made to a non-refundable ticket." I have been speaking to Make My Trip since the 9th of Dec 2015, when we were informed that my father cannot travel to Gangtok because of his Heart Disease, and I am extremely saddened and distressed by the apathy shown by MMT staff and customer-support/Complaints teams. Mr Aman Tiwari promptly disconnected my call after 40 minutes, on the realization that he also could not find Non-Refundable written on these pages even after 30 minutes, I have been trying to reach MMT, but every time, I am being told that their system is being updated, and I should call after 1 or 2 hours. I have written 2 complaints to them also, but I have not heard back even once. The Airline claims that the tickets are non-refundable from the Airline's side (Jet Airways), and they can not do anything about it. But I booked through MakeMyTrip, and it was THEIR responsibility to pass on the message to me, which they failed to do. That makes them liable, and not me. I refuse to pay for their Bad Design and display of such an important part of fare rules. My request is that they resolve this at the earliest, and refund the amount that is due to me. Even if they charge me Rs 1500 + Rs 300 per ticket as cancellation charges for airline and MakeMyTrip, it makes it Rs 18, 000 of cancellation charges, and they need to refund Rs 44, 924/- to me. As mentioned to them, I am even willing to accept a voucher of that amount from MakeMyTrip, that I can use for future bookings with MakeMyTrip. Please help me in getting this resolved ASAP.

Refund should be given, there policy even says that they can use the same amount for another flight booking later in a limited time frame ... !!! MMT should learn to do fair business !!

    I booked a SpiceJet Bangalore-Delhi flight through Make My Trip App. Booking ID NF[protected] The flight itself got cancelled so I booked an Indigo flight through MMT App again after cancelling SpiceJet flight. SpiceJet officials confirmed verbally, and then gave me an email confirmation as well, that they have refunded entire INR 6197/- booking amount to MMT. However MMT has only refunded INR 4997/- and refused Rs 1200 refund. Their argument is that they put in a Cashback amount of Rs 1200 in my MMT account(this cashback automatically expires in 90 days) when I booked my SpiceJet ticket. So they don't owe me this money at all. I wonder whether it's an illegal practice by MMT or are they exploiting a loophole in Indian laws that can allow a Pvt Entity to replace real "non-expiring cash" with imaginary "expiring cashback"? I repeatedly requested MMT to deduct Cashback and refund real Cash. But they have refused that too. MMT is just an agent here unlike SpiceJet which was the real service provider. After SpiceJet refunded entire money to them, do they have any legal right to replace my money by their own currency(Called Cashback)? That too an expiring currency? There was nothing in writing on website during ticket booking process or on e-ticket itself that allows MMT to withhold cash(Govt issued fungible real non-expiring money) and replace it with their own cashback(private non-fungible imaginary expiring money). So what gives them a contractual right to do so? I would like to invite your comments and feedback. Anyone else has had a similar experience?

      MakeMyTrip Booking ID - IN1510B5S129259 Today I called Air Arabia regarding my PNR no 41575916 and i have been informed that there is a due of AED 160 or Rs 2900 due to them due to date change request send from Seema Gupta of makemytrip to change from 25th to 24th . I have booked for 24th only and not given any earlier request for date change. please do the needful to resolve the same

        I have been having multiple calls with makemytrip agents, which have eaten up approx. 40 mins each time. I have escalated my complaints to the highest level available through website. Yet no results. The story is, I booked a 2-way ticket for travel from Mumbai to Chicago and return - for Air India using the makemytrip.com website as agent. I got an extension on the project and tried to get my ticket canceled, in first week of Apr, for cancelation of my ticket for 18-Apr. I was told to reach to the airlines directly to make the ticket open first. I got the ticket open from Air India, and they said the ticket is valid until Jan 2016. From May onwards, I have contacted makemytrip call center at least 5 times (wasting at least 3 hours of cumulative time), and have been escalating my requests registered on their website. Every time they say they are checking with the airlines whether it was a no-show. I have repeatedly told them that a no-show would have occurred if I wouldn't have got the ticket open / extended, and let it pass. Yet, they are unable to figure out the logic, and not canceling the ticket. The critical part I want to bring attention to is - I escalated my request at the top most level (to the management - Geeta Eral, Head of Customer Delight - "ironically named") at 06-Nov-2015 08:48 am IST. I also received a system generated mail from her name, that they are looking into my request. But today I saw the request again falling back to the same workflow, so I decided to write on this complaint. With this forum, I want to bring to notice that makemytrip.com is working in a very non-efficient way. Their call center agents either do not understand what the customers are trying to say, or perhaps they are made to put on excuses to not to respond affirmatively to customers. makemytrip really need to improve their processes.           Complaint Raised 5th Time!!! Keep on testing our patience, what else we can do!We trusted you and we are paying for that! [protected][protected][protected] I booked tickets for travel on two sectors i.e. Jammu to Srinagar and vice-versa. Due to bad weather the flights were cancelled by the airline which they informed us and updated that we are liable for a complete refund for both the sectors. I had a discussion with make my trip customer care executive on 24th of November and as per his guidance I marked the cancellation as directly cancelled with flight operator. I thought as he is the executive he would guide me with no fail. Today i had a discussion with Swathi, Tarun, Ankit from customer care department they told me that the reason selected was wrong and based on that i will be only getting 900 bucks. I am baffled and i want complete refund as i would not be the one who would like to suffer because of the fault of your representative. I have all the proofs in hard copy documentation that i am liable for a complete refund. Thanks Aayush [protected]

          Still no response from the team??? I am done with the wait and watch game from the make my trip side it has been over a month now and they haven't yet resolved the issue. Payment taking from the users is so easy for you guys but giving it back takes ages. Next step from me would be going to social platforms.

            I had booked a round trip ticket through Make My Trip. The travel dates were 7th Nov and 15th Nov. The booking id is: NF[protected] But later on 17th Oct, i cancelled one leg of trip which was on 7th Nov, 2015. I also received a confirmation mail from the company stating that my cancellation is confirmed and i will get my refund in 5 working days. (mail attached) The refund never came. After repetitive calls, i got to know that the information displayed in mail was false and i will get my refund after i complete my 2nd leg of journey, i.e., after 15th Nov. After 15th Nov also i kept on waiting for the refund but it didn't come. After waiting for good 10 days, i wrote a mail to company on 26th Nov stating my grievance about refund pending. Initially i was asked to wait till 3rd Dec, 2015 but i didnt get my refund even then also. Then again i complaint and i got a reply that should wait till 5th Dec. Then on 4th Dec 2015 i got a mail from the company stating that they are processing my refund and i will get it "in 7-14 business days or next biling cycle, whichever is LATER". (mail attached) But till today i have not received my refund. What kind of customer service is this? I have suffered so much mental harassment due to this careless and callous attitude of the company. Even after 2 months, i have still not got back my hard earned money. Request you to please help me.

              My Booking ID: NH[protected] .The booking was ZO Rooms Jambleshwar Temple Candolim. It was Confirmed on 12 th August 2015. Which was 5 months prior to my booking date(30 th December 2015).I have paid sum of 16190 INR. Almost 15 days back I came to know my booking was cancelled because they have sold out the room what was earlier confirmed to me(I have paid the total amount 4 months back).So I have complained to makemytrip about that. I have started calling them 20-30 times per day but after there was no action from their side. Ultimately 4 th December I have escalated the issue. After that each time I called them they have given me same reply that it will be resolved in 24 hours. A guy name Prashant from stuck team told not to cancel the booking and promised to give me alternate hotel. After that 11 days over, stuck department almost stopped to take my call. I have tried 30 times in average to get them . today when I got line they let me know it will be tough to arrange alternate hotel, due to price is increased now. I have booked hotel 5 months back. Now they are cancelling the confirmed booking because they are going to resell the room booking in high price. My Question is:- 1. Who will compensate the interest of the total money what I have transferred to makemytrip account using credit card? 2.I bought non refundable flight ticket after getting booking confirmation from makemytrip. who is going to Compensate that money. 3. Last 12 days I have called make My trip minimum 250/300 times just to get Alternate hotel which will bring back smile to my Family. Who is responsible for my mental harassment?                   Complain 1] :On 25 Oct 2015, I booked for Radisson Hotel, Chennai for 1night stay on 04 Dec 2015. First transaction in Singapore dollars S$190.39 showed unsuccessful and web site prompted me to pay again in Rs8371/- & which I did. Booking reference NH[protected] allocated to me on 25 Oct. On 31 Oct'15, while checking online bank statement I noticed that MakeMyTrip.com charged me twice- S$190.39 & Rs.8371 for same booking. Meaning, my account debited for unsuccessful transaction. I lodge complain via phone and email immediately. Complain id is[protected]. Since then I keep chasing MakeMyTrip. Com for refund but till date no refund given to me and now they aren't responding my email as well. Complain 2] : Due to flooding in Chennai, I have to cancelled my above booking. On 03 Dec'15, I called and email for cancellation of hotel booking ref NH[protected]. I am given reference no[protected] and told that I will be given refund within 72hrs. But till date, even after 11days, no response from MakeMyTrip. Com. In total, MakeMyTrip. Com is not refunding my 2xRs 8371 = Rs.16, 742/-.

                  Now the point is of not refund but the Intention and the Policy of the organisation.

                  They are sophisticated robbers, i am truly amazed by their behaviour any kind of insult they take it with pinch of salt.

                  Media would be the best way to teach them a lesson.

                  Lets look at putting it in Media i am ready for teaching them a lesson.

                  My aim is now not to get refund but screw their atleast 50 to 100 customers business...

                    I had done a booking on on 26th OCTOBER for 2 ROOMS IN HILTON - ABU DHABI. And Paid through my credit card with Make my trip When i reached Hilton on 12th November they said Make My Trip has done only one room booking. I called Up Make My Trip but there was no response, they said they cant do anything about it. I was helpless i had my senior citizens parents with me and i was standing for one hour at the Hotel, finally the hotel manager gave me another room and charged me for that room. I came back to india and sent invoice to make my trip on 1st December for refund which they said it will be done in 48 hours but there was no response. Again i called up they said that their international office is following up with the Hotel. I failed to understand i am asking my money, they have done a mistake at their end and they just need to clarify at their end not with the hotel. Its almost 15 days but no refund has been made, i wanted to speak to their seniors but nobody is ready to come and help.

                      I am a regular traveller and hence regular customer of Makemytrip. I want to pen down my recent experience which i had to face along with my wife in a stranger city (Orissa, Bhubaneshwar). I had booked a double occupancy room from your website after properly checking the property pictures and the hotel details. However to my utmost shock when i reached the hotel premises it was totally unacceptable. The hotel was so so shabby and dingy unlike the pictures and details provided in your site. I had to call up the customer service and was on call with them for more than 2 hours to arrange for another hotel as it was not at all fit for a family stay. However in spite of help my calls were disconnected thrice. Finally i had to book instant room from other source at a very high rate since it was a last minute booking. I had to wait with my Wife for more than 2 hours in front of the Hotel Road which was very tormenting. To add to this the Hotel Owner himself confessed that no one from Makemytrip came to check the quality standard and details of the hotel, before signing the empanelment with them, infact no one comes to check the property before empanelment. I have clicked all the original pictures of the hotel property. Please treat this complaint as urgent as this is not at all a positive impression of your site, it seems just to compete with the price and availability with the upcoming sites makemytrip has now compromised with the quality standards. A quick and prompt response from your end is expected. As now I am completely frustrated and i want a strict action again the site verification agent and your customer service department. I hope you would certainly take necessary steps before its too late. I would prefer not to recommend anyone makemytrip as this site shows false commitments.                         Booking ID NF[protected] I booked my domestic flight 4 tickets for 29th Nov 15 at 12 PM, but after booking, i got confirmation that it's booked for same date at 8pm. i am pretty sure that i selected 12PM. when i enquired with customer care they said, i have to cancel it and make a complaint. which i did and lost 10000 Rs as cancellation fee. When i registered complaint with Makemytrip, they said i selected 8PM. I raised complaint again with them but no response.

                          This is in context to the MMT Vouchers issued to me by AMEX in lieu of spending on their AMEX Makemytrip card #[protected]. While amending a booking – return ticket from Delhi to Bangkok, I tried using the vouchers on 7th Nov. ’15, the vouchers did not work and came up with an error “Vouchers not applicable”. I called up MMT and I was told by the rep that any such vouchers are only applicable on fresh bookings and can’t be utilized on amendments/date change bookings. Immediately after that I created a fresh booking and tried using the vouchers, none worked this time too. I called up AMEX and a lady named Pooja/Puja tried to help me out, she went an extra mile and conferenced my call with a rep in MMT who asked me to write a mail at a particular e-mail ID and told me that the concerned team would take 24-48 hours to resolve my issue. I told her that I was on the verge of changing my return date and was already was already on a parallel call with a supervisor at MMT who had created a date change ID for me and I just had to pay the required amount and I needed to utilize my vouchers which I had earned with high spending on AMEX card. In case she could get me a resolution then, if she could speak to a senior and arrange a voucher code worth the same value and replace it with the one issue to me by AMEX. She said she could not help me with it. It was very disappointing and frustrating for me but I was helpless. Since I didn’t have much choice, I went for the booking and paid the amount online. Even if I could use one voucher at a time, I could have saved Rs. 5000 while making the payment since I have two “active vouchers” worth Rs. 2000 and Rs. 5000 respectively. At the same time I ended up over 2 hours of my precious time on a weekend talking to you and AMEX and ending the conversation without a resolution. I waited for a call back from the MMT team, expecting to receive a call from a Customer service Manager, however, I received a call from a lady named Margaret from Team Priority of MMT. I have had several conversations with her so but in vain. One is really difficult to understand and two she is dumb to the core that she hasn't been able to understand what was the issue and what resolution was I looking for. They have finally issued me a set of two new Voucher codes valid till July 2016, however I did not want that. I wanted a cash back of Rs. 7000 on my credit card since I could have saved the same amount while making my booking. On her last call on 3rd Dec. '15, she was supposed to get back to me with a compensation amount in lieu of the inconvenience caused to me and the time i have wasted so far chasing MMT for resolution. Till date i haven't received any call post that. Please review the entire case and suggest if my demand is legitimate.

                            Dear Sir/Ma'am, I had booked a hotel for 2 days (Grant deluxe in Meerut) on 11th november. I checked in at 8 pm on 23rd november 2015 and checked out on 24th november. The payment of the booking was already done on 11th of November 2015 via online payment. On 2nd day of our atay hotel owner said that he did not get any payment from anybody and hence was not letting us check out until payment is given to the hotel. Seeing the situation, I called MMT customer care but did not get any solution. I called again and this time some other executive picked who finally suggested me to pay hotel in cash and assured me that I would get the refund within 3 working days. So I paid 1900 (950rs per day) cash to hotel because i had to catch the train urgently. After 3 days when I did not receive any kind of communication from Make my trip, I lodged a written complaint to Make my trip to which reference ID was also given Reference ID:[[protected]] which further assured me to resolve the issue in next 5 working days. After 5 days when I still did not get any solution they gave me a date (08th Dec 2015) by which I should get my refund. Now I am writing on 11th of December 2015 and I still did not get any information about my payment. I am completely surprise at the inefficient of Make my trip that they cannot resolve the issue even in 20 days. I recommend all the passengers not to book any hotel through Make my trip. There are other online websites available in market which offer excellent services and far more exciting offers than MMT. As a last resort I have to choose the way of consumer forum.                               While trying to book a flight from chennai to bangalore, the website does not provide enough information on whether the flight time is AM or PM. When we contact customer service, they re-direct us to the airlines and the airline redirect us to makemytrip. To add to the calls, makemytrip has issues with their website of not being able to pull up records and mention they need 3 hours to get their systems to start working. Further, the customer service mentions that it was our mistake and their website has not issue at all. Is this how makemytrip treat their customer? Would anyone want to book flights from a website who's customer service has no understanding of a customer's issue? Then why demand for a customer feedback when you are not going to satisfy the customer's requests?

                                I had made a airfare booking for Mumbai-Chennai round trip on refundable basis and received a confirmation voucher indicating cancellation on refundable basis. (Trip # NP[protected] and NP[protected]. However, MMT issued me a ticket on non-refundable basis. However, due to the floods in Chennai, I decided t cancel the booking as I had senior citizens traveling with me. Now, MMT comes back telling me that the cancellation fee will be as high as the ticket cost. When checked with airline as well, it was told that MMT booked these tickets on non refundable basis. I have tried calling the call center for last 3 days and all in vain with no early resolution. My call just keeps bouncing from place to place. The Supervisor, Mr. Kumar bluntly tells me that nothing can be done on this and refused to give me the escalation matrix to whom I may approach for my resolution. I have sent a few mails to the organisation, but with no response, except for a system generated email. This has amounted to clear harassment, and a classic case of cheating and forgery where I stand to lose INR 35K. It is a shame for this NASDAQ listed entity to behave in such demeaning manner.

As company had promised a cash back of rs1500 because of their Diwali offer in which if we are doing transaction for 4000 or more than 4000 through CITIBANK card and applying an offer code " APPFEST " we are eligible to get a cash back of Rs 1500 and last date for cash back was 5th Dec 2015. but till now they haven't provided any cash back although am calling them regularly but still they are not giving any confirmation that either I will get my cash back or not.                                       I had booked a return international flight on Make My Trip (MMT). Originally, there were four flights in the itinerary. However, suddenly, on day, I got an e-mail from MMT sending me a revised itinerary. The revised itinerary had only three flights instead of four. Their e-mail nowhere mentioned the reason for dropping one flight. On inquiring with them, I was told that one of the flights in the itinerary was called off by the airline. Further, I was told that their back end team is working on the matter and they will provide me an alternate flight in place of the original flight which was called off. After that, for 10 days, I have been following up like a donkey with them on mails and phone calls. I have contacted them at least 15 times in these 10 days. None of my e-mails have been replied. On all the calls, they tell a standard thing: "The issue is being looked into by their concerned back end team and they have raised the matter with them" On one of my calls, they told that they have contacted the airline and they are waiting for a revert from them. When I told them to share that communication with me, I was told that those are internal communication and cannot be shared. I do not understand how a communication with airline is an internal communication. Further, since such communication is related to a ticked on which I am travelling, why it cannot be shared with me? On another call, when I told her to read the case notes, there were two mentions about their so called efforts to contact the airline which were as under: 1. Tried contacting Air India office but the office is closed (My flight is on Malaysia Airlines. Why the hell they are contacting Air India Office?) When I asked for an explanation, the representative told me that they would have written Malaysian Airlines as Air India in short form. Wow, what a creative short form.. 2. Tried calling MH office but number was not reachable (Is the number not reachable for last 10 days? Dont they have any other number or any other mode of communication? The above is all what they have done in contacting the airline. There were no other case notes for communication with airline. And they are telling the matter is pending with airline.. Actually, the matter is not even raised with them and they are torturing the customer for last 10 days. Now I could understand why they are not sharing the so called internal and confidential communication with the airline.. Because there is no such communication. Pathetic Service. I am being tortured for last 10 days (Torture is an under statement.. One should discover a higher degree word for such service by their team) My filght which has been called off is scheduled 20 days from now.. Hope you people will do something and get me justice.

                                        I bought tickets to Bangkok for 3 people on 4th August 2015 (Transaction Id no NN[protected]‏) but had to cancel the tickets on 30th August 2015 and 1st September 2015. I received 3 separate emails (Reference Number - IN1508R4S330493, IN1508R4S331926 & IN1508R4S346175) stating that refunds for all 3 travellers have been processed. However till date I have received a refund for 1 person only. I have complained to the company numerous times (Reference ID:[protected] &[protected] but have had no luck with my money. Every email I write gets a response after 3 days. Nobody calls me in spite of having given them my phone number at least 10 times. In the last email they have asked me to send them my CC statements to prove that I haven't received any refund. I have replied to them on 1st Dec 2015 with the statements but haven't heard from them. I have been harassed by them for the last 4 months now. They cannot be contacted by phone either as they have moved their cancellation process online and don't entertain any calls regarding that. Who makes a customer wait for 4 months to get a refund of Rs. 40, 000? They are absolute crooks and this is the last time I am dealing with them for anything. I strongly feel that I need to take them to court and make them pay for their horrible attitude towards a customer.
