i have booked a flight ticket on 2nd nov 2015 for hyderabd to tirupathi & tirupathi to hyderabad, travel date 3rd nov 2015. I have received a booking confirmation and my money rs. 5890/- paid through online from hdfc bank account. When i checked my email i did not receive e-ticket and tried to talk to customer care numbers many times but they responded twice my booking is not done and i will be refunded the full money. Till date i have not received full money. My booking id nf[protected].

In refernce to your complaint, we have validated your case with the concerned team and found that on 2-Nov-15 an amount of Inr 5890/- was deducted from your account but the booking did not get confirmed. As checked initially a refund refund of Inr 2280/- was processed from our end on 7-Nov-15 and we have initiated the balance refund of Inr 3610/- on 17-Nov-15 towards the original form of payment i.e. your HDFC bank account. The same should now be reflecting in your account.

    I have used recently launched makemytrip app on mobile. Tried booking return ticket Del- Kochi-Del for March 2016. It was showing total amount of Rs. 24, 000/- only and when I went ahead with the booking on the Makemytrip App and entered my credit card detail it suddenly appeared Rs. 53, 000/- and before I could terminate the transaction, it completed the transaction. (NF[protected] I have lodged complain with MakeMyTrip.com stating my experience o[censored]sing the app, which lead to confusion and hence overcharging. After a week and standard reply came from company stating "Our software was fine and we can't help you". Please note, this company has done similar thing (deduction of money in the name of service charge and not passing the same amount to Air Asia) during June 2015 and kept on insisting that they have passed the amount to airline and it was airline's fault. On confronting they further said, it was software's mistake and in the mean time they have provided me THREE Different INVOICES for the same transaction. After lot of confusion, I got my refund. I strongly believe, they are UNFAIR in their dealing with customers. I need refund and they need to learn a lesson for doing such mischievous act.

      BookingId : NF[protected] I was trying to book flight ticket on 27th Oct 2015 for Pune to Kochi (11th Dec 2015) and Kochi to Pune (15th Dec 2015). My booking is failed because of some technical glitch from make my trip end but they still debited my credit card of amount (Rs 56088) and sent me an Booking unconfirmed email. I called customer care and they told me the i will get my full refund in (5+3) days. I just checked refund status after few days and found that nothing is happening and booking status shows booing cancelled. i called make my trip customer care after 5 days and i have been told that it will take 3 more days for the refund. i called after 3 days again and found that no progress. Customer care guy escalated the issue this time and ask me to wait for 5 more days to get the refund. I again tried after 3 days to check status and found the no progress and again escalated the issue and ask me wait for 5 more days. And this story continues till today (14th Nov 2015). I called make my trip customer care today again to check status and got the same reply that "Escalating the issue and you will get the refund in Next 5 days". I told customer care executive that same story is continuing from last couple of days. I also asked them to transfer the call to your senior and who can resolve this issue but customer care executive says you will get the same answer from my senior as well. I really don't understand for this straight forward case they are taking so much of time. Or this is the standard practice of their refund. Make my trip email. This is to inform you that due to some technical error at the airline’s end, we are unable to issue your ticket for sector Failed BLR-COK at this moment. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. We will be processing the refund for airline tickets. Kindly revert so that we can process the refund.

Initially, refund of Inr 40200/- has been initiated from our end on 16-Nov-15 with refund reference number#[protected] and as there was some loss involved which MakeMyTrip need to born for the confirmed sectors, we have initiated balance refund of Inr 15888/- on 21-Nov-15 with refund reference number#[protected] . The same should now be reflecting in your account as per your bank processing cycle.

        I was shocked to know that I am not the only one having a problem with the website eating money. I tried booking a Domestic round trip BOM-IXC-BOM on the 30th oct. ufortunately the booking didn't go through and my money got cut. I was on constant follow up with them regarding the refund and finally when they managed to process it on their end in their "free" time. I was horrified to see that my bank name was submitted wrongly. after a delightful chat with their customer care rep who asked me to send her my bank statements to verify my bank I was told by a another sweet chap that my bank was right but due to system errors it's was mentioned wrongly on the website and I were to receive my money in 3 working days. The 3 working days never came and I was again informed today to send them my statements. Folks don't ever use make my trips's online portal. Infact don't approach them for any bookings personally either. They are a bunch of frauds who eat have designed a monster of a website to eat people's money. Makemytrip if you have any shame you would return my money back to me immediately. Or I will have no choice but to go public and defame every little self respect that you might have in yourself.

          I also had similar issue with reference to booking ID-NF[protected]. MMT is denying cashback. I made booking on 11th Aug after confirming the existence of offer in ICICI bank website. The T&C now available under URL: http://www.makemytrip.com/promotion/includes/FlightsBankOffers[protected].php are totally different than what was seen during offer period.

          I am not convinced with T&C provided by MMT me in first response to my complaint. The following statements in the link provided with MMT reply are technically wrong.
          • The offer is valid on bookings made on all Tuesdays starting from 4th August 2015 to 8th August 2015 for ICICI Bank credit card / debit card and internet banking customers.
          • All the bookings made from 4pm to 10pm every Tuesday during the offer period will be eligible for the cashback.
          There is no point of mentioning Tuesdays (PLURAL) in above statements. Can anybody find multiple Tuesdays during the period claimed by MMT. What does it mean by every Tuesday in next statement. Nobody will write such statements. Such statements are full evidence of forging the T&C after expiry of offer to fool customers like me.

          I searched the web and downloaded the T&C of FLYNOW offer from other third party websites. As per the information available at third party website:
          Offer is valid for bookings made from 4 pm and 10 pm every Tuesday starting 4th August 2015
          Offer is valid on Debit and Credit cards of ICICI Bank,
          For ICICI Bank, offer is also valid on Netbanking as well.
          The Offer was valid on bookings made on all Tuesdays starting from 4th August 2015 to 20th October
          2015.

          There cannot be different T&C for the same Promotion code FLYNOW running concurrently.
          1. I truly remember the validity of the offer was not ending on 8th Aug.
          2. Dates of all the Tuesdays i.e. 4th, 11th, 18th Aug etc were mentioned in the original terms and condition.
          3. The offer was valid for ICICI credit cards.
          4. The Promotional code was accepted during booking process.
          5. I even got an SMS of processing cashback after the booking.
          6. I was 100% sure of eligibility to this offer.

          In view of above evidences, I fully believe that MMT is cheating me. I raised the issue with MMT at various level. Everybody in MMT has been reiterating the same statement that I am not eligible for the offer. None has responded to my allegation of forging the T&C after expiry of the offer. I raised doubts, several times, on authenticity of certain phrases in the T&C provided by you in response to my complaint.


          Awaiting LOGICAL reply that clears my doubts about authenticity of T&C that MMT shared with me.

          It is surprising that you have now shared different URL regarding T&C of the offer which is in contradiction to earlier URL (http://www.icicibank.com/Personal-Banking/offers/offer-detail.page?id=offer-mak... shared by you thro email dated 12 Sep 2015.

          Pl note the following statements in earlier which are in contradiction:
          *This offer is applicable for 1 booking per card per day for credit card holders and per account per day for debit
          card and net banking users of ICICI Bank
          *To download the MakeMyTrip app, please visit the link www.makemytrip.com/mobile
          *Offer is valid on credit, debit cards and net banking for ICICI Bank customers only.

          My strong argument is that the following statements in earlier URL :
          The offer is valid on bookings made on all Tuesdays starting from 4th August 2015 to 8th August 2015 for ICICI
          Bank credit card / debit card and internet banking customers.

          looks forged when read with next statement :
          All the bookings made from 4pm to 10pm every Tuesday during the offer period will be eligible for the cashback.

          Using "Tuesdays(Plural)" in first statement and :every Tuesday" in next one are the proof of forging the T&C after expiry of offer.
          The offer as was seen on 11th Aug was valid for several Tuesdays and contained one more statement mentioning all dates on which offer was valid.

          I got and SMS after booking that cashback will be processed. Shall I contact my mobile phone service provider to retrieve that SMS?

          Even I have faced the same problem for Booking ID NF[protected] using the FLYNOW code.

          It is clear that MMT has altered and forging the T & C in their adds to decieve the customers now.
          Its a big scam . They are not fulfilling the cashback promise and making a fool out of all o[censored]s .

          The mistake has been made on their part and they are not ready to accept it . Instead they are blaming the general public for not reading the T&C .SO MANY PEOPLE WILL NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE .

          The customer service is absolutely useless .They say that it is not valid on ICICI bank transactions .
          Let us HYPOTHETICALLY ASSUME that you are telling the truth ( WHICH IS NOT ) :-

          Could you care to explain why the coupon code got applied successfully when I was doing the transaction with a bank ( which you say was not eligible for the cashback ) ?
          In my common experience I have noted that whenever I try to apply a coupon which does not have the offer valid for the bank through which I do my transaction, it CLEARLY GIVES ME AN ERROR MESSAGE STATING THAT THE OFFER IS NOT VALID FOR THE BANK THROUGH WHICH I AM DOING MY TRANSACTION !!!

          Had you been telling the truth, I would have got that message, instead I got a message of the coupon being successfully applied.

          As Mr.Vaibhav Chowdhary rightly points out(in another complaint) the archives are telling a completely different story (Clearly mentioned on all tuesdays), than the one MMT is projecting .

              A very bad experience with makemytrip...I booked dubai-mumbai round trip and they gave me etickets for opposite dates of the trips.(15th was supposed to be dubai-mumbai; they gave me the opposite i.e. mumbai-dubai & likewise for the return trip)

              Till date, trying to run around and catch hold of their support - when i called their support, they say theyll transfer to the concerned department and eventually just hang up, social media pages suck to the core since they only say theyll revert back - no response yet...support ticket is raised via email - but no one's interested to reply.

              Surprisingly, i then realized its not only me but several others who faced these situations and this is what MakeMyTrip.com responded to 1 of them -

              "On reviewing the logs, the previous sessions (of checking/selecting multiple flights) were still on and U paid for the wrong session (evening flight). U should have closed the app every time to check a different flight."

              So if we want to check various options, we have to exit the app after selecting any flight and before selecting the next option available.

              This is ridiculous. If there is a software glitch, the owner should have the courage to step up, accept mistake and correct the bug in the app.

              Its been over a week & it seems their glitches are 'sponsored' through our money. High time the real meaning of what customer support & service is identified by companies.

              Why should users pay extra for their glitches?

                I’m really disappointed about your service, Even though I was expecting & requesting you to provide an accurate information you have mislead me by quoting a wrong fare, I have very clary asked whether you are quoting on Sri Lankan rupees, Can you remember what you said, you confirmed that you are quoting Srilankan rupees. I still remember the way I requested, I told you to quote only in Sri Lankan rupees where I mentioned that we would prefer to have something around 35, 00 Sri Lankan rupees. (please check your call recording) it’s very wrong to mentioned a wrong figure,

                When we noticed the reservation we were shocked to see that you have quoted in your currency where we covert in to Sri Lankan currency it is almost double the price, therefore we wanted to cancel our reservation thinking that there was a miscommunication, when it comes for cancellation you did the second mistake by charging a huge amount of 3770 Indian rupees per ticket.
                It is not reasonable at all, your cancelation procedure you never educate me either it’s not clear in your site, how are you charging a such a big amount as It’s on the same day transaction. (reservation & cancelation completed within few hours) it’s not nice to cheat people & penalize customer.

                And as a customer service officer of a reputed organization I never expect these type of poor service from your end, even after sending several messages you never come back to me until today.

                Since it’s your mistake I need the full refund, please do the needful of refunding this as early as possible.

                  Hello, i abhay banwat booked ticket for mumbai to chicago through make my trip. booking id for make my trip:- NN[protected] and pnr no is:- 5IE4CE(for air france). my ticket was via france, so to confirm about transit visa for france, i called air lines and they said me that my ticket is been cancelled by my travel agent (make my trip) as they didnt took eticket from airlines within time. now, my travel agent is not responding to my queries. i have lodged complaint many times and even called them(make my trip) many times, but they are not responding. please assist,

                      D/ Team Makemytrip Care, On 1st September 2015, we have booked four tickets from Guwahati to Chennai Jet airways in Atindra Dutta's name, for 16 th October through email id, elizabet.[protected]@gmail.com and pnr no is T41PHV, but due to rescheduling of the flight by Spicejet, and as it was inconvenient for us to transport a hip fracture patient we have cancelled the flight on 7 September and which was confirmed by makemytrip on 8th Sept 2015. When we called up Jet airways they have informed us that the money amounting Rs 39104 /- has been reverted to makemytrip but the money has not been refunded to the our account even though it is over two months. Kindly, refund the money as early as possible... Thanking you all..

                        I have cancelled my ticket on 14th August and my refund after deducting the cancellation charges of Rs.36, 000, comes to Rs.1, 61, 103 which should have been credited to my account by 21 August as per your refund rules.                           Makemytrip.com — Deduction of money without ticket confirmation


                           I booked a one way ticket on 4th November, 2015 at around 12:15 pm from New Delhi to Allahabad for 7th November, 2015. During payment via net banking, the amount of Rs 6393 INR was deducted from my account and it showed that my session has expired but no booking confirmation showed up. After the booking, I did not receive any email from Make my Trip. I am shocked to see the message on phone history that my ticket has been cancelled and cancellation charges of Rs 1802 INR has been deducted, even though I did not receive any ticket nor have I cancelled the ticket. I tried many times to contact the customer service executive as they were probably busy, so could not speak to them. Finally Vkas Ali (customer service executive) attended the call and registered the complaint and also mailed me the booked ticked as well as cancelled ticket and gave me the complaint no.[protected]. After the carefully prediction of email, the cancellation charges in phone message and mail ticket were not matching (Phone message shows cancellation charge of Rs. 1802 and email ticket shows Rs. 1, 353). Even cost of ticket has been shown different in cancelled ticket and phone message. Until now I have not received the deducted money of Rs. 1802.00, as was assured by the customer service representative. Please remember, that I have not cancelled the ticket at all, and I received cancelled ticket and ticket only when I made a complaint based on SMS message sent by you. Therefore, you are requested to refund Rs. 1802.00, deducted by you without any authorization, failing which I will take legal course of action.

                            I had booked a flight to India for 1st November for my mum and requested wheelchair access. On 26th October, I had called the airlines directly just to confirm that the wheelchair has been booked and at that point I was informed by the airlines that the flight has been made non operational which was informed to make my trip in July. But I was not informed about this by makemytrip. I asked them to cancel the booking since the new schedule was not comfortable for mum as she is old and it required 15hours halt at Malaysia. I asked for a refund on 26th October itself and was informed that I need to wait for 48 hours for the confirmation to come through. After this I had called on 28th October and 31st October and was informed the same that I need to wait for 48 hours... I then called the airlines who sent make my trip an email asking them to refund my money and today is 6th November, I still get the same response from make my trip that I need to wait for 48 hours for the refund confirmation to come through. I don't know what world they live in even after 11 days, I am told that I need to wait for 48 hours. This is an absolute waste of my time and I think make my trip does not value it customers. I will never again utilise their services although we travel a lot... and will not recommend any of my friends or relatives to use their services.

                              Actually I booked my ticket on makemytrip.com and I mailed the customer care that I want to change the flight date. They told me to change my date via a website provided by them but when I checked that site there is no such option. When I again mailed them no response from there side. I have no idea about what's happening and what they are doing. I had no idea rather than complaining about their company

                                We booked our travel with makemytrip.com for Uttarakhand package on Puja holidays from kolkata.In their program chart, it was mentioned that all hotels and resorts are 3start property but actually some are unfinished guest houses and some are just like house properties.Driver provided was rush driver and car was not clean any day and driver was uncleaned and had bad smelling. The food offered at accomodation are highly priced which is not matching with services of hotels, even we have to wait for an hour for hot water in buckets as no gyser or heater was there in those accomodation.Even after mentioning we are non veg, still they provided veg foods and complementary was wrost ever just tea and dahi paratha, unclean bedsheet and poor toilets are very much experienced in all travel stoppages, driver was not at all friendly and created a lots of quarrels with us when we asked to slow speed cab in express high ways.They mentioned about welcome drink, hot water 24X7 which was absent in all location.When we are calling them, they dont respond, cut our calls and sms and whatsapp us, they we are busy, I am primary accusing Richa Chirania travel expert and his manager Rohit Our bookin id IN1505B1S269434 CRM id[protected]

                                Further in future we shall not go with make my trip and will ask fellow travellers not to go with make my trip..we will publish all this in all social media and leading newspapers with the travel vendor name and also the holiday expert name...we will also give photographs of the so called poor 3 star hotels and will also specify that you refused to honor our complaints...during making payments we use to get so many calls from holiday expert...but when we were stuck in distant mountains the holiday expert didnt received any calls with the excuse of sickness and refused to help us...our day were lost with no cooperation from make my trip...tthe most amazing part that the eitenery which we got in mail and which the driver had was different...the driver also asked money from us as he had no money with him...iis this the kind of service you and your organisation provide to customers after taking full payment?
                                In almora the driver asked us to drop midway in the distant mountain and asked to contact hotel...is this the kind of service make my trip promised?
                                We have all photographs of the poor hotels and foods you provided which we will submit in social media and all leading newspapers...after taking full payments with lots of promises and after spoiling the entire tour its easy to give allegations...bbut imagine being a customer when you are stuck in distant mountain and you driver had different eiterny and there is no one to help and you entire day is lost then how do you feel as a customer? How do you feel as a customer when most of the spots is not covered and you face with rash driving in the express highway? Dont you feel cheated? Its our hard earned own money which we have payed...so after making full psyments this is the service you provide? And even after complaining you dare to say that you cant honor us? is this so called make my trip? We will publish in social media and all leading newspapers with all photographs of poor hotels and services and food type...

                                During the travel from Almora : At the time of return due to No-Entry after 5 PM, the cab driver faced trouble to reach the hotel as he tried to reach there three times but he was not able to succeed due to road barricaded by the local police and at that time Cab driver was being harassed by the Guest and also Mr. Gautam from ( Chaudahry Tours & Travels) faced such kind of behaviour.
                                Hence now we will not be able to Honour your case as same has been declined by our other vendors too. Please treat this post as a final response on your concern from our side.

I have all proof of your poor service and what oroof you have of my misbehaving? Only words of mouth? And with no apology how dare you blame on customers after taking full payment? How dare you gave an one sided reply? So thus its proved that make my trip is a nonsense profit making company who doesnt take care of customer grievance s and complaints but only takes money and gives poor services in return and also openly says that they are unable to honour a customer complaint because they have actually intentionally spoiled the entire trip...

                                  I booked a round trip ticket on 2nd November, 2015 at around 11:30 pm from Bangalore to Kolkata for 14th April, 2016 with the return being on 26th April, 2016 under the name Kumari Shikha. During payment via net banking, the amount of Rs 8029 was deducted from my account and it showed that my session has expired but no booking confirmation showed up. The booking ID is: NF[protected] and this is showing only under the "completed bookings" section of my MakeMyTrip account on the website (not on the app) with the status as "unsuccessful" and its showing "under process". I emailed the MakeMyTrip support with an attachment of my netbanking statement which clearly shows that 8029 INR is payed towards MakeMyTrip. There has been no response from their side and you cannot talk to the customer service executive as they are probably busy making the big bucks on this sale. I have attached those two documents here as well and i hope they can resolve the issue quickly by either confirming the ticket or refunding the money back to my account.

                                    I had booked about 6 flights with MMT but had to cancel due to a death in the family. The travel was scheduled to happen on Oct 2 and return on Oct15. I faced issues with site and cancelled directly with airline. Raised refund from MMT. For the ID NF[protected] about 11, 110/- is still pending. (more than 35 days). I am fed up of calling the call center again and again. They promise a call back but never occurs. When agents seem to notice that we don't wait till the call is escalated to supervisor or Manager, they deliberately disconnect the call. Nobody is able to provide a history of why this amount is not reflecting in my account. I provided my 2 months account statements as well for verification, but to no avail. Kindly assist.

                                      I have cancelled two transactions on 3rd Oct and 18th Oct and still awaiting refund amounting to INR 11644.00. Have been constantly following up with them ever since but with no resolution. Upon checking i found they even closed by ticket as resolved. Had to reopen the tickets and escalate the matter but still waiting for actions.

                                      If I don't get a resolution soon I am going to file a complaint against them in the consumer court.

                                      This experience is surely going to influence my decision in future.
