A simple enema is charged at 450 in manipal hospital. Gloves and sodium phosphate is also asked to buy by patient. For doing enema hospital gave a bill of rs380/-. If a patient come for any serious health issue may be they have to sell their property?
Charging 380 for doing enema that too for op patient is on a higher side. Some standardization is required.

      Dear sir/madam,

My wife ayesha begum resident of dubai took my daughter afiyah wasim to dr. Shaila b on wed 17/04 at 11:20am in manipal hospital, hal old airport road, bangalore

Dr. Shaila miss treated my wife during the visit, she harassed her by yelling at her. Please note my wife was operated in same manipal just 1week before and she was not able to stand for a long time and the doctor was commenting"if you have come from mysore, roam around and go back, why u people come to hospital" "meet me in my clinic and take the address from my assistant outside the room", doctor didnt even saw the patient nor listen to the patient problem and just wrote list of blood tests to be done.

This treatment of doctor shaila is not acceptable and she is doesnt have any courtesy to deal with the patient.

I want the doctor to appolagize for her misbehaviour and not to repeat this with other patients.

      Thanks and best regards.

I got corn surgery done at manipal whitefield by dr manjunath on *. I have 3 complaints wrt this and i seek full refund of payment i made against surgery and consultation with the doctor.
        1. The surgery was done in a brutal manner, with no application of local anesthesia.
        2. Doctor assured that the corn is completely removed and the foot will be fine a few days time. However, it kept paining with same intensity for next few weeks and that’s when i decided to see some other doctor, having lost faith in him
        3. Now the most interesting part is that it was a case of wrong diagnosis. The issue was actually a wart and not a corn in the foot. It’s very easy to find out the difference between corn and wart and is even given on google as told by the new doctor. The new doctor applied liquid nitrogen (Which is the treatment for wart), and my foot is better now.
This incident had completely shaken my faith in manipal hospital unlike earlier when manipal would be the first choice for any medical issue, small or big. This is already known that manipal charges are much higher that market prices for any sort of treatment, however, wrong diagnosis and conducting an operation basis that is completely unacceptable.
I even raised a complaint over phone yesterday and i was assured that i would hear a call back within 30 minutes, however, i haven’t heard from anyone till now, thus i decided to write to you.

My appointment for annual medical check-up (facility provided my office) was at 7:30 AM, 29th Dec 2018. There were more than 150 members who were under going this check-up.
By the time all check-ups except complete eye check-up it was completed it was 2 PM (majority of the time waited for long time to pass through each test because of huge crowd).
I requested for eye corrective prescription for which Doctor and assisting staff mentioned they had to dilate my eyes which will blurr my vision then do first vision check-up post 1hour of dilation and 2nd vision check-up post 4 hours of dilation (that is once vision is back to normal state).
I underwent for dilation did first vision check-up then staff suggested me to visit on next day at 12 PM for 2nd vision check-up though I was ok to wait on the same day.
As my eyes were blurred I went to parking area and informed parking area attendent that I will take my vehicle next day as my eyes are dilated resulting in vision blurring.
Next day I reached hospital at 12 PM waited for an hour to get my eyes re-checked and received my vision corrective prescription.
I went back to parking area while taking back my 2 wheeler via parking gates I was asked for parking fee payment of Rs 295/- :-(. Yes, It's Rs 295/- for 1d 5h 18m.
The parking area attendant mentioned its hourly charged and no day charging concept.
I felt very disappointed & paid money.
Most of the parking areas charge hourly but on crossing few hours it will fall under day charges right?
My disappointment is because of -
1.) From my office only option is Manipal hospital.
2.) Company pays annual medical check-up charges to hospital directly still doesn’t get privilege for parking a 2-wheeler free of cost for the period of time undergoing check-up instead need to pay charges that too hourly :-(.
3.) If complete check-up was done on the same day I would have avoided next day re-visit saved my parking fee for more than 12 hours and to & fro taxi charges.

Please first of all the staff’s must keep basic ddescipline as patients coming early 6 to 8 am struggling/suffering after Long waiting que in registration then at the department too waiting. They are coming from even long distance. Then these hospital staffs having tea/personal gossips makes patient more impatient specially some patients with severe pain Also who are came in Wheel chair patients/Aged patients. Today’s world all the patients expected personal touch/care. This is lacking in the hospital more than their disease. It is helpful even token display board. I myself with the father who is aged experienced this situation. My request to you that mak patients feel comfortable
Dialysis patient shift to theattavar for radiology herecomedown and waiting1 hour...here asks for everybody no cares

                      To whomsoever it may concern
It will be an eye opener for the hospital management and for those who wants to get the near and dear one admitted in this hospital
I would like to complaint against the manipal hospital dwarka. My mother (Hospital number - mh[protected] who is a senior citizen had to undergo a minor surgery. Because o[censored]ncaring nursing staff, she had to extend her stay by at least 10 days. I would like to highlight the following points -

                      • facilities denied
                      • uncaring nursing staff
                      • lack of coordination

Facilities denied – doc had advised her to take sitz bath after surgery. When we enquired we were told that it is not available in the hospital. We had to arrange the sitz bath on our own. Since the patient was not able to get up from the bed we could not give her sitz bath. Even the commode chair was not provided. Because of lack of facilities the patient could not recover, she was in utter pain. On 10th day when the helper could not see the condition of the patient, she arranged the commode chair and then we were able to give her sitz bath. If the helper did not help us, then the patient would not have recovered. Later we came to know that all the facilities were available in the hospital, but nobody took any responsibility and ownership. Maybe they do not want patient to recover and go home. What difference does it make to hospital, they are getting the money if the stay is extended?

Uncaring nursing staff – the staff if very insensitive and uncaring towards the patient. The doctor advises to give drip in the morning at 9am. After constant reminders and follow up the drip started at 4pm. It happened thrice. On the second instance the canula got blocked. When we asked the nurse to check she replied it is just working fine, because of air the drip is slow. Her bed was wet because of overflow. When we complaint the nurse came and stopped the drip. Nobody bothered to start the drip again. When we complaint it was started in the evening. On the third instant the cannula got blocked again and the patient hand was swollen. The drip was stopped. That day we had to complaint to doc. Then is was taken care around 9pm. Since morning not even 5 ml of first drip was completed. The doc can give instruction, it is the duty of nursing staff to follow the instruction.

Lack of coordination - nobody bothers, they just want to follow the daily routine without knowing why they are doing. It is just activity on the to do list. After the surgery the patient was advice medicine. The medicine was continued when it was not required. They continue to follow the dose mentioned on the file. Eg medicine for vomiting sensation was given even when patient complaint that she is not having any vomiting tendency any more. High dose of looz was given that patient had diarrhea. She passed motion three times more than the food intake. When her condition deteriorated we raised an alarm. The un-necessary medicine was stopped immediately. The staff do not take a note when doc gives advised. Even they will not clarify when we ask them to. When we question why this medicine is continuing we get a standard reply “it is there on the file”. That means if the patient stay is extended then the medicine dose will also continue whether it is required or not. Not sure what logic they use.

I am not sure if any action will be taken or not. But this is case of negligence on hospital management. All the complaint was registered verbally. We had complaint to guest relation and nurse in charge, but they have turned a deaf ear to our complaint. When the matter got worse we had to go back to doc. With doc intervention, it was then the complaint was taken seriously. Ultimately the patient is suffering. We had to prolong the stay. Who will compensate? Will the hospital not charge the money for not providing the facilities and the way patient was treated post-surgery? How will they ensure that the same experience is not repeated to some other patient? I am sorry to say we had nightmare experience. Despite of being senior citizen cghs beneficiary and knowing that the hospital do not cghs panel, we had decided to get her admitted because of doctor’s goodwill & faith. If the patient does not know any doctor they will in the mercy of god.

Even the discharge procedure was very tiring. It took almost 4 hrs to settle the bill as it was not correct. We had to run from pillar to post to get the billing right. The information on returned injection did not reach the billing. There was no co-ordination between in house pharmacy to billing.

Hi, I am Udita Das and was admitted in the hospital for anal fissures, which is generally a 2 days admission in the hospital but got extended to a week because o[censored]nsuccessful first surgery.

After the surgery, I came to know that I also have 6 injections abscess because of the incompetent nurses (who put the injection in the wrong manner and in the places it should not be injected.) in Manipal Hospital. The doctors in Hyderabad were shocked to see 6 abscesses in my buttock area which was more than 4cm. There were injection abscesses even where no one is supposed to get an injection, as told to me by the doctors of Yashoda, Apollo and even Manipal Vijayawada itself.

Going from one hospital to another in Hyderabad and getting to know of the abscess was a total mental trauma which has no possibility of a refund. Any more untoward incidents like this to innocent patients can be completely avoided by taking necessary actions on the nurses.

Being a student, not only is my valuable time and money snatched in this process but my entire health at stake, all because of negligence from the hospital. Hence I demand a refund for the excess money I was forced to spend because of the hospital’s mistake. As the issue is serious and genuine, I’m ready to take this case to higher authorities if the necessary action has not been taken.

Patient was taken to the ot stating his surgery has to be done at 8:30am &till now that is 11:30am it has not started, information received is anesthesia doctor not available, then what is the reason of taking a person to ot & that too for a case like a boil & it's removal. Really saddened & dissapointed.
This happened in manipal hospital, a good hospital, now i hear only complaints, that too now i experienced it.

                              Hi Team,

I want to file a complaint against Manipal Hospital Whitefield Bangalore for
inappropriate full body test and unprofessional behavior.

I did a visit to the hospital on 6th Oct 2018 for full body test, I have got a strange report on my Blood glucose level i.e. 56 before food and 81 after food(which is too low). With that they did 19 tests and took 4500 rs.

The fact of the matter is, in the final report nothing was mentioned for the same having that low and they told all normal except Blood cholesterol level high. Later they looted 3000 rs for diet consultation(3 month plan) which was not required at all.

The very next day on 7th Oct 2018 I did one more test and found my Blood Glucose level absolutely normal 91 and 112 respectively.

When I started to enquire for the mismatch they misbehaved me and drooped the phone couple of times.

I did write to them 2 times in mail but no reply.

I did spend 4500 for test and 3000 for diet consultation and now I think I got nothing benefit.

Please help me escalating the same.

I have all the misbehaved voice recording available with me with the mail proof.

                              Regards,
                              Khitish.

Last night, i had to take my daughter to emergency of manipal hospital, dwarka. The doctor on duty, gaurav thukral, was not only unprofessional, but also ill-behaved. He has behavioural issues and needs lessons in communicating with people. He was very arrogant and unprofessional. He was also seen shouting at other staff loudly in emergency where patients are critical.

My daughter needed ultrasound but the radiologist refused to come at night. S/he said that radiologist services are not available at night. Taking my daughter to some other hospital would simply waste time as her pain was too acute. At last, after complaining to the duty manager, they agreed to give her a painkiller and send us home. Even the registration of patient was done after one hour.

                                    Hi,

I had met with an accident and went for treatment in manipal hospital domlur. They took me to emergency ward and made all scans like mri of brain, dental related, ecg etc and charged 13000 amount. They did not give any treatments, my teeth was broken and had many injuries on my face, they just removed some part from cotton and told you are fine come tomorrow morning. I refused of discharge as i was unconscious for sometime and had lot of pain. When i came next day morning, they told you need to be admitted and surgery has to bee done. When they told you are fine and discharged yesterday, suddenly how surgery came into existence. That to 65000 for 1 day was my bill. I refused for any treatment as its money making hospital. This hospital is only to pull money from our hands, nothing else can be done by this hospital. My worst experience every. I suggest no one to take any kind of treatments here. They take money but wont provide any certificates unless we demand its required for us.

“ dialyzer is the key or would say heart of dialysis which is used to perform dialysis.” malathi manipal hospital - jayanagar is demanding insured patients to borne the dialyzer cost as they started billing dialyzers from last month as non surgical from insured patients.

History behind making it non surgical
They passed a circulation in malathi manipal hospital stating that they would increase the cost of dialysis from rs.2040/- to 2300/- or 2400/- which all patients didn’t agree and had a discussion with operations manager – mmh jayanagar, bangalore (Malathi manipal hospital). The outcome of the meeting was that they would reduce the cost of dialysis by rs.40/- and told they would charge for dialyzer rs.660/- to rs.800/- based on the size of dialyzer and patient should borne it. The dialyzer can be used 8 times or less, if the dialyzer fails we are supposed to pay them the dialyzer cost or change it on 9th dialysis by paying it.

Since the start of dialysis in india, why wasn’t the dialyzer’s non-surgical? It looks suspicious. Does irdai passed any regulation or govt of india / karnataka passed any resolution that dialyzing cost is different from dialyzer and dialyzer is to be treated non surgical.

How would any hospital take interim decisions on surgical and non surgical?
No hospital in bangalore except them are charging / billing different for dialysis and dialyzer? Why them?

It is very difficult to cope with dialysis and its consequences and cost. They are extra burdening the patients by collection a huge cost for dialysis around rs.2000/- and rs.650/- to 800/- on dialyser cost depending on size? Who will question them? Who fixes the cost? Every week we need to undergo 3 to 4 dialysis apart from it medicines, blood tests, etc. How do we take it to government of karnataka or health minister? Patients are becoming poor, poorer and poorest and hospitals are branching, increasing and billing more and more. Do we have any standard how much a private hospital can charge for dialysis on day care? We will loose humans health and life of kidney patients on dialysis unable to adjust / pay money for dialysis.

Please save patients on dialysis, save human, save india!!!
