I am a health insurance policy holder with Max Bupa health services with the customer id: [protected] and policy number: [protected]. I had filed a claim (cpatient name: Vivaan Dassani, Hospital: MERF, Chennai) with the company on 18.06.2012 Claim no. 12741 for my son's surgery submitting my original documents and the documents as required by the company in their prescribed formats and formalities were done to the fullest including handing over xerox copies of the original bills to their field investigators. I have been calling them again and again from the past 2 months and they are not responding to settle my claim by any sense, giving excuses everytime. Now they have started a new thing telling me to get some reports from the hospital which is the job of the health insurance company to obtain. I got them linked up with the concerned person in the hospital and even after that they are unable to process this claim. At the time of selling the policy they show us an elephant and give us not even an ant when we file a claim. I took this policy from their employee named Mr. Nirmal Shrivastava mobile no. [protected] and he told me that everything in emergency is COVERED FROM DAY ONE. Now when I have filed a claim of my Son's emergency surgery, they are refusing to settle the claim asking me to submit these documents on their part. I JUST HAVE ONE QUESTION, WHY DOES MAX BUPA EVEN EXIST WHEN WE HAVE TO GET ALL THE DOCUMENTS EVEN AFTER SUBMITTING THEM THEIR REQD DOCUMENTS? THEY ARE JUST ONE OF THE BIGGEST DUPER'S WHO ARE NOW NOT EVEN RETURNING MY SON'S SURGERY ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS WHICH I NEED URGENTLY. I will be more than happy to file a legal case against the company as well if they are not reimbursing the money as they are now just harrasing me. PLEASE GUIDE.

      I bought an health insurance policy on 08.06.2012. The payment of the premium amounting to rs. 11675 was made vide ref. No. 127594 on 08.06.2012 from max bupa, so customer friendly and efficient insurance company. Since 08.06.2012 I was made to understand that a medical check is required and till date it has not been done inspite of several appointments fixed. My request for refund of the premium too has not been attended. Almost every second or third day an appointment for the medical test is being sought from me, but no body turns up for conducting the same. On friday I received a call from one mr. Arvinder and upon his insistence to go for the policy, I again gave the time slot of 9.00 a.M. To 10 a.M. Yesterday. But as usual I kept on waiting and nobody turned up. now, the height of your customer service is clear from the attitude of mr. Arvinder and ms.Swati. Both of them are not even picking up my phone. Since morning I have tried numerous times.

      I am feeling deceived of my hard earned money.

      All vigilant citizens are requested not be fall in trap of these type of people, You all could well imagine when they are not able to get the medical done, what type of service they would provide you in future when u r in dire need. These people are working just to siphon out the money from peoples pocket and then put them in hell.

        I have a medical policy with Max Bupa for a cover of 50 lacs, which warrants a premium of 115000/- yearly and which incidentally is also supposed to cover my OPD bills, except for preexisting conditions like hypertension and diabetes. However my OPD bills unrelated to these 2 preexisting conditions, are not being reimbursed since last 8 months. Leave aside settling the claims, even my mails do not get an acknowledgement. The intermediary from the Company does not take my calls. What should I do? I have sent several mails and called 30 times to no avail.

          My self rohit kaushik, I purchase max bupa family floater for my father policy no. [protected].

          Mr. Shobhit shulka (Sales Executive) giving me policy, i Disclose all Pre-existing disease to him But, he is not mention these disease in policy documents & he says me we take medical before issuing policy but max bupa issuing policy without taking medical.

          when i am going for claim my claim denied by mr. virender kaushik & miss. rinki on that basis we are not disclose pre-existing disease to max bupa.

          & after my claim denied by max bupa i request to him please send me denied letter for this, but he is not sending me denied letter after so many times request.

          So, i request you all please do not take max bupa policy, even they say we take medial for pre-existing disease of above 50 yrs. person.

            I have purchased apolicy from max bupa for for in laws whose premium amount was around 24 thousand for sum assured of rs 2 lakhs.

            the policy details are-

            Policy no-[protected]
            My father in law was detected with cancer & operated in TMH mumbai & we have submitted a claim amount of rs 2.64 lakhs & claim no. is 4025 but from past 02 months nobody was Max bupa is givivg any exact dates when the clain will get resolved.

            i have written to all thre customer heads & talked several times but in vain.

            I think its a fraud company.

            whats the method to resolve the same.

            shall i go to customer court.

              I am a 1 month old customer of Max Bupa and I am already so frustrated with their service that I regret having taken this policy. on 12th May 2011 while buying the Heartbeat Gold policy(premium INR 16534), my credit cards got swiped thrice mistakenly. I have trying ever since to get my balance INR 33068 back from Max Bupa but without any effect. My service request number lodged on 18th May 2011 is 65972. I have not got my money back till now after 1.5 months.Hundreds of calls to the call center, customer service officers taking "personal care" and promises have yielded no results. When am I going to get my money back?

              health insurance — revesal of extra premium

              sir/madam,

              i m having ur medical policy of 3lakhs.
              eariler policy no. was 4034/chc/02865138/00/000 which was endorsed to 4034/chc/02865138/00/001. this policy was suppose to expire on 23nov

              i was issued new policy & my existing policy was renewed. i just wanted to renuew my policy, but i was issued a new policy was issued. i comlpaned so many times as this was mistake from ur end. my card has debited twice of 5860app .
              earlier i was told that amount of premiun of new policy which is been debited will be refunded, but i was given just 4102. i complained about this as u can see`so many times but the balance is not refunded till now.
              my new policy issued is4034/chc/04135279/00/000
              my renewed policy no. is 4034/hir/04179146/00/000
              please do the renewal.

              Dear friend,

              If MAX BUPA does not refund your excess Credit Card debits, ( I presume, it was charged thrice, instead of once for payment of your premium) you should immediately lodge a complaint with your CREDIT CARD COMPANY disputing the TWO extra debits in your account.
              Send a written complaint or e-mail complaint with details of extra debits in your Credit Card to the card company.Wait for two weeks time to get the matter sorted out by them. If not, send one reminder.
              After that if there is still no response, you can file a Complaint with the BANKING OMBUDSMAN of your area. You will get the address of all Banking Ombudsman from RBi website or from any Pulic Sector Bank's website.

              Please note that credit card company is bound to take actions based on your complaint and recover the excess amount charged from your card without your consent.If they don't take action, take up the matter with Banking Ombudsman. All Credit Card companies come under the purview of banking Ombudsman and customers can refer their disputes there.

              If you choose, any dispute regarding payment of premiium ( including charging your credit card un-authorisedly) with the Insurance Ombudsman also, who has jurisdiction over the area where your Insurance Company office is functioning.

                I paid premium for two policies for my mother & father.Before purchasing policy they told the medical examination will be held at my place & all expenses will be bared by them.After my parents received call asking them to visit hospital & pay fees for medical tests.After lots of talk with customer care they have given me date & timings for medical tests but hospital was not aware of tests.After one week their medical examination done.As I talked with them they will going to send me policy documents within 7 working days but still they don't have any information regarding my parents policy & they told me there medical team is discussing my parents reports from last 10 days & they are not aware of when they will send my document.

                Please let me know what should i do?

                  Max bupa health insurance company have been sending emails to me for health insurance. I gave positive response. From Delhi they contacted me I asked whether you cover preexisting diseases they told yes after 4 yrs of continuous insurance. I told my diseases they said no problem we will cover. I sent money then one doctor talked me I told all the diseases I have, After that call for one and half month no tel no msg. I tel jaipur office many times no information. At last after many days calls jaipur office replied me proposal has been rejected, why nobody knows. I waited for refund of money No refund again started tel and email to customer service but in vain. Then I complained higher up then they tel me and assured refund. But no reason for rejection.Till date no information, no letter, no SMS that why proposal was rejected, also why they kept money for two months?Why they first promise and also written in brouchure that preexisting diseases will be covered then why they do not insure the person having preexisting diseases? Or they should delete this clause from their brouchure and should write person with preexisting diseases will not be insured, Why IRDA does not look inthis matter. Why these insurance company fool public! For action Please

                    The Insurance industry is supposed to have a very strong governance system however it seems liek MAX BUPA has been able to circumvent those through loop holes!

                    The Direct Sales team made sweeping commitments while selling the policy, and one really does not want to think o[censored]sing a health policy as it means some one near and dear being unwell or some thing unfortunate happening.

                    I was told that if I take the GOLD plan then pre-existing diseases would be covered. I asked if there were any tests required - I was told that no there would be no need.

                    When My wife developed pain in the head where there had been a lump but with no pain for a few months we decided to go to the doctor as over the last few weeks the size had started increasing and the pain had started to become constant!

                    The doctor recommended that the cyst be excised as it may cause an infection, though it is not an "Emergency" it would be better to get it done ASAP.

                    This was noted in the pre-Auth form and sent to the Insurer for approval.

                    The strange part is that you are asked to pay for a whole year of cover but the policy covers you for only 275 days!

                    The definition of pre-existing is fuzzy.... if something surfaces after the policy is taken then it becomes pre-existing!

                    The insurance company makes you feel as if you are a fraudster trying to cheat the system whereas it is actually the other way around.

                    If you call the customer care - they tell you that it is the sales team and they may have made commitments that we are not aware of!

                    Dear Insurer,
                    I am a little concerned about the manner in which this request has been dealt with.

                    1. The Advisor ( DST Mr. Naveen. R. under Team Leader Mr. Kush Khurana)who had met with me to get the policy had, in no uncertain terms confirmed that per-existing conditions were covered under the plan if I was to take the GOLD plan.
                    2. The need to approach the doctor only came up because in the last couple of days my wife is experiencing severe pain in the head originating from the Follicular cysts of skin and subcutaneous tissue on the scalp. Since it has started causing discomfort and there is an enlargement it obviously is important that the same be attended to at the earliest. It may not be classified as an emergency however it would definitely be prudent to have the same excised to prevent infection, considering that it is on the scalp.
                    3. Would your honourable medical team suggest that just because it has a 90 day hold period one should risk the spreading of infection?
                    4. I paid for a ONE YEAR cover!!! By putting in a clause of 90day hold period Max Bupa is in fact offering a cover only for 9 months for the money that was to cover us for 12 months.
                    5. Wilfully misleading a customer to gain a proposal due to year-ending is gross Misconduct!

                    I have been cheated and misled to believe that My family and I have a medical cover of 365 days when it is actually only 275 days.

                    I have been lied to when I was told that the policy covers pre-existing ailments and that I did not have to worry!!!

                    I fairly certain that the consumer forum will be happy to interact with your representative on this case.

                    Your organization is playing with the lives of people for making a quick sale during the year end pressure!!!

                    Putting people in the FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY that MAX BUPA is with us in our times of need!!!

                    I was hospitalize in Max Saket emergency yesterday night for treatment.

                    At the time of discharge in morning, surprise and disappointed to know that the cashier deny to consider my health policy. I had requested him to cross check with some of your person as this was covered under my plan (I was told by your executive during the time of taking policy that your persons are always there to assist) but again they deny to consider.

                    I had no choice except to clear the dues at that time. Later on I had called to cust care no and your representative says it is reimbursable and they did mistake by billing you, and I need to courier all document to you and it will take 10-15 days to get reversal.

                    I am extremely disappointed on this. Why should I suffer due to your mistake. at the time of signing of the policy you guys ready to come at our place 'N' nos of time, then why can't you help us to send somebody who can come and collect all document.

                    Kindly do the necessary so that my claim get reimburse.

                    Didnt expect this from MAX BUPA.

                    This is very peculiar that Max bhupa sales representation was chasing me for the insurance (Medical policy)He insisted me a lot than I took the same for my son and my daughter in law. I paid an amount of Rs5071 but the actual insurance receipt I got is for Rs.3172/- fact at the time of given cheque the max bhupa reprsentative assured me to refund the balane amount within a week along with policy.but so far i have received policy only without my refund cheque .I tried to contact the repsentative but every time he disconnect my telephone my cutomer ID [protected]. it seems that there is no customer service after the insurance .only at the time of issuing insurance policy they will come to you again and again after insurance no[protected].
                    I again request that balance amount may be refunded to me immidiatly if not please refund my total amount.Since you are not providing me proper after insurance service.
                    Sorry for the bitter experience. Thanks for sharing the information and saving me to be a prey to them. I Planned 3 X 10K. meaning along with my friends and relatives. While reading the letter I felt the pain, what you might have realised.

                    Same thing happened with policy I took for my close friend. Even though a valid claim they simply rejected saying pre- existing .

                    My name is Souvik kandari, i am also a customer of max bupa.
                    I am dissatisfied With Mr.subir sen Because in my case i have got the pre authorisation within 15 min after 30 days of purchasing the policy.
                    Yes that is true that max bupa cover the hopitalization after 90 days but the its cover emergency and accident after 24 hours of purchasing the policy. As in my case i was addmitted in emergency condition, my nose was bleeding suddenly and i had rush to the hospital and within 15 min i had got the pre auth and max bupa had paid whole 1, 38, 000 to the hospiatl. But in case of Mr. Subir sen, As It was not emergency, It was planned.And planned is covered after 90 days.

                    And The pre existing condition is there in every company, if any company find out that the following illness that you want to claim for has been there in your body before taking the policy then no company will give any claim. In my case i have a Blood pressure and i know that my illness will be covered after 48 months, so if i had taken any claim of diabeties then oviously it would not be covered.

                    If the customer Disclose its medical history to the company at the time of taking the policy so, the company will be also provide the services that its promised for.

                    In my case i am satisfied customer of max bupa, for last Three Year and i have also Available maternity benefit claim for my wife, and the best part was that my baby was born with jaundice and with low weight, and he has to be sent in incubation for 8 days, the total cost was given by max bupa.

                    So i belive in max bupa

                    I tried to contact the repsentative but every time he disconnect my telephone my cutomer ID [protected]. it seems that there is no customer service after the insurance .only at the time of issuing insurance policy they will come to you again and again after insurance no[protected].
                    There is very bad services of the customer. i have tried on[protected] and[protected].
                    but no one is responses.I have recorded call . i will go to court with full proof.
                    Beware of this services.
                    As per my experience its a very good co. in relation to the service and the response and the claim. My claim amount was of rs 57540 rs and i got the full amount without any deduction I took a gold plan for my family where me my wife and my kid are covered, it was a small surgery for stone removal . I had a very good response from " MR VARUN SHARMA " of DST team he guided me the right policy according to my requirement, He is a nice and a gentle man. . I am planning a policy for my parents this APRIL, would suggest all the people to go ahead with the policy, ya but do read all the documents before taking it as MR. VARUN has suggested me to do the same and i'm very much satisfied with the way he responded and thanks to MAXBUPA for the same .

                    I am Sandeep with customer id- [protected] and my healthcare provider is Max Bupa Health Insurance, a customer since January 2011

                    Background

                    Please treat this email as an escalated complaint for the services that Max Bupa has denied me. In the month of November 2013 i am diagnosed with Varicose veins problem as i was experiencing pain in my legs for a week, the doctor eventually suggested bilateral surgery and i submitted the documents for pre authorization request on the 5th of December, the hospital Nova super specialty has informed the of the condition to Max Bupa and provided documents what ever they have requested including details that it has been diagnosed in the month of November and the hospital has no history that it was an existing condition.

                    Current Situation

                    Max Bupa have rejected me cashless and sent me an SMS confirming that it has been denied


                    Reason for Denial they gave

                    Max Bupa have informed me that this is a pre-existing condition and that is why the cashless has been rejected, they are asking to go for cash payment.

                    Dispute

                    The above medical condition is not a pre-existing as it was diagnosed for the first time in the month of November 2013 and no history is available with the hospital prior to this diagnosis, there is no reason for them to force me for only cash payment and they said that after making cash payment i can apply for claim reimbursement but Nova super speciality is a network hospital and as per the terms and conditions i can avail cashless.

                    Reason for dispute

                    1. If this condition existed in the past i would have got it treated long ago, the policy was taken originally in January 2011 and i have asked for cashless only after getting diagnosed with this medical condition, which was in November 2013.

                    2. I have accepted their offer of policy as they offered my cashless facility during the time of medical condition, this medical condition above mentioned by all means is eligible for cashless facility.

                    3. I am adhering to the policy terms and conditions and requested Max Bupa to do the same, i also advised that the hospital and the doctor could give you additional clarification if needed and i believe they have already done that by confirming that the medical condition was diagnosed in the month of November 2013.

                    I reminded them that cashless facility can't be rejected on the reasons they gave which is totally baseless, and it would be a breach of trust and acceptance of health cover policy.

                    I look forward to receiving a positive statement from you and hope that my complaint would be considered carefully, i further anticipate that the issue will be resolved at the earliest

                    since the hospital advised that the cost of surgery would be around 130, 000 rupees, i advised that they can't force me for Cash payment as i am entitled for cashless.

                    I also want to add that first sent email the email complaint on the 8th December to max Bupa and a follow mail was sent by me again on 12th December and till date there is no written communication, the overall communication from Max Bupa has been bad.

                    What a terrible experience with MAX BUPA, no wonder they want to make profits at the cost of innocent people, but the matter has just started with ombudsman, subsequently with district consumer forum.

                      I PRABAL GOSWAMI resident of H.N. 706, Sector-10, GURGAON, HARYANA working in BHUSHAN POWER & STEEL ORISSA, want to draw your attention to the under mentioned fact that me as well as my whole family (Wife, my daughter & my son) covered with Health Insurance through MAX BUPA w.e.f. 14/09/2010.



                      My Wife Mrs. MADHUMITA B. Goswami (POLICY NO. [protected] customer ID[protected] through MAX BUPA) sustains a fall on 11/11/2010 morning. Due to this fall she was having pain while walking but there was no swelling near her hip. Assuming that there is any nerve related problem she was taken to INDIAN INSTITUTE OF SPINAL INJURY CENTER V.K. New Delhi, on 11/11/2010 itself. There Doctor suggested to take MRI for proper Diagnosis. On the basis of MRI report diagnosed as her hip joint has been broken and suggested for the hip joint replacement. Total estimated cost was around 3 to 3.5Lacs. As it was a orthopedic case and INDIAN INSTITUTE OF SPINAL INJURY CENTER V.K. New Delhi, is specialized in nerves treatment, opted for second opinion that is in FORTIS HOSPITAL, V.K. Ned Delhi from Dr. G. Bedi on 12/11/2010. Mr. Bedi has also suggested this same treatment and asked me to admit her on 15/11/2010 as he will be busy on 13/11/2010 and 14/11/2010 for seminar etc.



                      In the mean time I had taken third opinion from Dr. Sachin Yadav, Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi. As the amount and risk involved was high, finally I decided to take her to FORTIS HOSPITAL, V.K. New Delhi on 15/11/2010 as suggested by Dr. G. Bedi. Accordingly applied for PRE-AUTHORIZATION through FORTIS V.K. New Delhi on 15/11/2010 but till 7PM approval not received. At 8PM when I return back to home along with my wife got a First Massage from MAX BUPA that Pre-Authorization denied and subsequently through Second Mobile Massage informed that they need some more clarification from treating Doctor G.Bedi. Again on 16/11/2010 morning went to FORTIS HOSPITAL, V.K. New Delhi and submitted the clarification through Dr. G.Bedi but ultimately after wasting whole day at 7PM got the final denial massage from MAX BUPA.



                      As at the time of admission minimum 85% payment is need to be deposited in FORTIS, and at that moment I was not having 3Lacs in hand, return back to home again. From home itself I send a mail to customer care MAX BUPA on 16th Night itself. On 17th I got a call from Ms. PAYAL from MAX BUPA, she inform me that although Pre-authorization has been turned down but reimbursement can be made if I submit the all original bills and all IPD relevant paper within 15days after discharge along with claim form .



                      Any how I managed to have 3.1Lacs from relatives & friends, admitted her on 18/11/2010. After her discharge on 23/11/2011 all relevant paper sent to MAX BUPA on 29/11/2010 through courier and same was well received on 30/11/2010 by them.



                      After several calls, inquiries and investigations directly and through their agency M/s. PROBUS ASSOCIATES, ultimately again MAX BUPA refuse to settle the claim, informed through a communication (letter) Dt. 27/01/2011 on false claim ground with mentioning exclusion clause (COPY ENCLOSED).



                      In reply of that letter Dt. 27/01/2011 I had send a mail on 02/02/2011(COPY ENCLOSED) and given a time of 15days that is up to 17/02/2011 to justify the refusal of claim but till date not received any reply so far.



                      You are requested to intervene in this matter and take suitable statutory action against the monopoly of MAX BUPA to settle my claim of Rs. 3,09,405.50 with interest due to delay in payment.



                      KINDLY GRANT ME THE JUSTICE AND SAVE MY FAMILY FROM THE DEBT BURDEN INCURED ON THE TREATMENT OF MY WIFE (INSURED PERSON) THROUGH YOUR OFFICE AGINST FRADULENT DENIAL OF CLAIM (BY MAX BUPA) THROUGH UNLAWFUL AND PREJUDICIAL COMMUNICATION DATED 27/01/2011.

                      Yes MaX BUPA IS ONE OF THE WORST INSURANCE I HAVE SEEN. THEY TOLD THEY HAD NO THIRD PARTY AND IN THE CLAIM PROCESS SOME THIRD PARTY CAME OF VERIFICATION AND HE INSISTED TO PAY 20% OF THE CLAIM TO HIM TO GET THE CLAIM PROCESSED WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS

                        I yogendra kumar sharma purchase a max bupa healthe insurance policy in 07 may 2010 whose policy no. is [protected] and customer id no. [protected]. at the time of selling the policy the told me that i admited in a hospital 1/2 or 1 hrs than they reimburse me all my hospital bill and before 30 days and after 60 days medical bills. I admited on 20 sept 2010 and discharge on 21 sept 2010 due to feaver/chills/vomating in Ganesh Hospital Ghaziabad. I send all my medical hospital bills and reports to max bupa 23 sept 2010 whose acknowledgement i received from max bupa after some days i asked form his at his customer care no. [protected] about the claim than they told me that me claim is cancel due to admited less than 24 hrs in the hospital. but the sell the policy on saying to admited 1/2 or 1 any hrs admited in the hospital. I have voice conersation between me and max bupa and broucher of max bupa as evidence of it. they are also not sen me the cancellation lette and me documet submmited by me.

                        please help me about this request and conern on this request soon strictly.

                          I had taken health policy for my wife from Max Bupa Health Insourance of India.I am giving details as under.Max Bupa has been denied my claim case.They have cheated me.

                          Dear Sir,
                          I sunil kumar having the health policy on the name of my wife Pushpa Yadav as mentioned above .I purchase this policy by your executive Mr Manish Chabra when he traced me up to four months and after convincing me by the doctors team of Max Bupa Health Insurance and that time your doctors team said to me that there is no requirement of medical checkup for my wife Pushpa Yadav, I gave every information about my wife Pushpa yadav to your doctors team . I asked with your doctors & executive about the covering of diseases in your health policy then they said to me that they (Max Bupa Health Insurance) covers all diseases except aids and they said also if patient admits in any panel hospital of Max Bupa Health Insurance for half an hour or more than it then there is cashless treatment and if patient go in other hospital(which is not in the panel of Max Bupa Health Insurance) and admits for half an hour or more than it then bills would be claimable on Max Bupa Health Insurance.After that I purchase your policy.

                          Suddenly on[protected] my wife Pushpa Yadav have experienced a serious pain in his throat and soiling and she was unable to consumption anything then I discussed with your executive Mr Manish Chabra & your doctors team and they suggested me to visit at Max Hospital at gurgaon ,on[protected] I visited at Max Hospital Gurgaon there I met with Dr Viwan Talwar and they said to me that it is an emergency case and medical test endoscope is necessary in this case , endoscope have been done at Max Hospital Gurgaon and after that other following medical test also have been done on the direction of Dr Viwan Talwar.
                          (1)FNAC (2)MONTAUX(3) X-RAY of chest and paid the fee of all these test by cash
                          After getting the report of all medical test Dr Viwan Talwar said to me due to emergency case operation is urgent and Surgeon told me for operation estimate and it was of RS-25000(Date[protected] and said it may also increase of RS 10000 More depend on the condition of patient after saying about the holder of health policy of you,
                          They replied me to deposit all the documents of health policy of Max Bupa Health Insurance they replied to my wife to come on next day and also said they will contact to concerned person of Max Bupa Health Insurance,Next day when my wife visited at Max hospital they answered that they did not get any reply from Max Bupa Health Insurance hence deposit estimated amount for operation.
                          When I did not get any co-operation from your staff I went to Tirathram Hospital Gurgaon (because my wife condition was serious) and at late night the Doctors of Tirathram Hospital Gurgaon discussed with the doctors team of Max Bupa Health Insurance team,and after assuring by Max Bupa Health Insurance doctors team that it is a claimable emergency case and operation sould be done,and operation has been done on[protected] and discharged on[protected] and after that I submitted all documents of both hospitals at your office by Speed registered post then I got a sms on my cell from your side that within 15 days claimed amount would be given to Pushpa Yadav and on[protected] I got a letter (claim no-39) and in this letter there was requirements of some documents,I have submitted all required documents but I got a sms on[protected] from your side that claim no-39 has been denied., on contacting with you the following reason has been said for denying claim-
                          1) The waiting period of 90 days not been cover
                          2) This disease can not be covered

                          But in your policy it is mentioned that for emergency case claim is applicable ,and it is not mentioned in your policy that the disease by which Pushpa Yadav was suffered is not cover in your policy and also not mentioned that case was not emergency.

                          I was cheated by your staff and your staff put me in the dark, due to your staff cheated behavior my wife has suffered very much and loss a huge amount .hence I request you that please look into this matter seriously and action may be taken for releasing my claim and it would be good for maintaining your company values and
                          Identity sir I am a good customer and if I would get the solution of my problem I would be your continuous customer and could advertise your company behavior to others.

                            Max Bupa has started its health insurance policies with lots of FALSE advertising. Their claim of covering everybody whatever their existing illness is false. They charged Rs. 19,100 as premium before they could even issue policy for my mother. I had disclosed to them that my mother suffers from diabetes (initial stage) and had undergone knee replacement surgeries. They said they have to do some medical tests on my mother and after which they will tell what will be not covered for 4 years. They also assured everything will be covered after 4 years. They conducted medical tests of my mother and informed that we will be contacted within a week. I contacted them after more than 2 weeks after I did not get any response from their side. They asked for 24 hours time to get back and called me after 48 hours and told that their company has DECLINED the policy. I asked for the reason and they could not share the same with me and insisted that its company policy. The worst of all is that they are claiming to send a cheque of Rs. 16000 odd rupees and the balance they are claiming to be the medical test charges. Before conducting the medical tests, they have very clearly mentioned that medical tests will be conducted on the expense of Max Bupa and we did not have to pay anything.

                            ALL IN ALL ....A FRAUD COMPANY FULL OF LIES!!!!

                            this company has rejected the claim of my son .as mentioning pre.existing disease.but in fact before 7 days when ultrasound was done therewere no same disease.claim.no.23106
                            Its very true...Max Bupa is taking everybody for a ride

                            I recommend no self respecting person take their policy. They want to position themselves as a 'different' health insurance company and indeed they are different but in a very unpleasant way.

                            They never tell you that they can decline a policy.

                            Transparency is the key guys!!
                            I totally agree with the above complaints. I had a similar experience. In fact, I'm still waiting to get back the money after they declined. It has been almost a month since they declined. Totally pathetic!.

                            my father policy was declined as he is a heart patient and smoker also.
                            thats pretty fine according to the risk he has.
                            and the refund was given to me within 10 days i recieved the cheque via courier.

                            this totally depends on your agent. please get a good agent who can help you in these situations.

                            Agent told me that you have visit personally the office near university circle in pune and hand over all the documents and fill the form of refund, which is absolutely false when i talked to max bupa in delhi office and they said you don't have to go anywhere and it will be transferred online.

                            Total refund will not be there as claimed by Agent of Max Bupa, they are deducting 1) Medical test 2) Stamp duty 3) risk coverage for say 1 week of free look period

                            I am a customer of Max Bupa myself & feel that it is responsibility of a customer to be aware of all the facts before purchasing a policy. Obviously the company will not insure a unhealthly life not because of profits but because it actually puts a overhead cost to the other members of the insured group (I assume ppl here understand that insurance is nothing but a risk pool). otherwise you have customer compaint number, e mail id of CEO on IRDA site & above all IRDA ombudsman where you can approach for any frauds etc.

And to all those persons who write one liners with a number attached to their user name, looks like you guys are working for the company. regarding fine print "The Supreme Court has made it very clear in several judgements that it is the responsibility of the company to explain the same to the customers". I hope this answers Mr.Harpreet. Though the customers are expected to read the documents it is infact difficult reading 100 pages of fine print. I think they make it 100 pages just to ensure that you dont read :-)

                            I paid premium for two policies for my mother & father.Before purchasing policy they told the medical examination will be held at my place & all expenses will be bared by them.After my parents received call asking them to visit hospital & pay fees for medical tests.After lots of talk with customer care they have given me date & timings for medical tests but hospital was not aware of tests.After one week their medical examination done.As I talked with them they will going to send me policy documents within 7 working days but still they don't have any information regarding my parents policy & they told me there medical team is discussing my parents reports from last 10 days & they are not aware of when they will send my document.

                            Max Bupa is only interested in selling the policy, they will make a hundred calls to you to convince you to buy the policy and once the cheque has gone, all you do is wait for them to either accept or reject your policy request ' please note that no calls are made from them after you send them the cheque !

                            I had applied for a policy for me my kids and my husband who has a prexisting illness, and have recieved the policy for me and the kids and not for my husband with no intimation from them that his policy was refused, i have made many calls to them only to be told that the respective dept will contact me but no one has contacted me so far !!! The supposed doctor only asked what the prexisting was and was told it was a stroke, and that was the extent of the medical questioning or whatever they call it was !

                            What i dont understand is why in the first place accept the policy request when it seems to have been already decided that they wont give it to someone who has had a stroke ????

                            They did mention that the particular illness wont be covered for four years which was fine by me !

                            But now they dont bother to answer any questions and all we can do is wait for the money to be returned .

                            All i can say is that they are very unprofessional and rude !

                            I had a very good experience with the company as during the time of claim Mr Dishant personally sorted out my issues moreover i have a direct access to the 24*7 customer service..
                            I think the customers who are facing these kind of problems purchased this policy through some agent or through some third party or branch...

                            I've had a very bad experience with max bhupa...where in after waiting for almost 8hrs like beggars in d hospital to get a final approval from them...i was only told to pay d later n later apply for re-imbursement...imagine d agony my husband(patient) had to go though...

                            Maxbupa has great interest only before we buy the policy. After that It has no good customer relationship. The agents suck. Their false promises are countless. They give us wrong dates and wrong commitments. I am being harassed by several of their promises. I was asked to buy the policy using credit card with zero percent EMI. This is just to make us fall in their trap. They never have this feature. After swiping the card they say that right from the first bill the amount is divided into EMIs. That is fake. After that the agents say to convert it into EMIs with our bank and they will release an interest wavier voucher. This is yet again false promise. And they suck in sending the documents. We have to follow up like hell to get the documents. Please dont ever buy a policy from this bad company. Their grievance addressing system is just for the sake of website. It never is functional. We never get mails from them except for their automated replies.

                            @Maxbupa, you can never succeed by loosing potential customers like this. I will spread this as a word of mouth to as many innocent people as I can from falling into your trap.

                            Insurance companies will hide many things and focus only on selling policy, they somehow want you to pay the premium and the moment you pay thereafter you will only get one toll free number to waste your time. Every time you will encounter a new parrot who will ask same questions and you will get a tracking number, and you will die dialling toll free and giving the same details again and again, and if you have life insurance then the benificiary will continue dialing and same thing will happen to him too. You will know their true color only after you pay for the policy and till then they will be the most polite and good people. These front line parrots hardly know anything and they are timepass fellows who stick to the job for 6 months and then go elsewhere. Real crooks are sitting inside and you cannot even reach them. Buy insurance only if they have an office in your town and they accept claims there and give reciepts, and the rest you have to fight in courts so along with the policy you buy some law books too and start reading. Some people put the onus on the agent who sells them the policy and tell him that if the claim does not come through then the agent will be made to claim his hospitalization policy. Keep some money ready for emergency treatments and also keep the details of free hospitals or cheap hospitals, and go and pay cash and get treated, that is best. Leave the rest to god and leave the world happily if god wants you to return to him.

                            I have been updating about my wife's illness from time to time keeping up my files bills bundling up with long list of claim nos n service no, it was all entertained never it was said it wont be covered,
                            sequentially after illness was not recovered we went up to a good hospital which was under its network list my cashless was first rejected and then they didt stopped till then they asked me to claim keeping up the hope that we will review ur documents.
                            n at the end what I get I again a rejection with a simple explaination its not covered under 90 days waiting period,
                            first why they did't said it in first go
                            second why they kept on enetrtaining
                            however at the time of selling I did confirmed by chance if any medical emergency condition will it be covered like apendix or any surgery or hospitalization, even in there documnts its mention what emergency is.

                            Hi Friends,
                            I've Max Bupa- Individual Gold Policy. When I took the policy I had no pre-existing medical conditions which was established by Max Bupa Medical Tests and by God's grace I've always been in pink of my health. Few weeks back I was diagnosed with intestinal obstruction- I was not able to pass stool or gas for more than 24 hours, severe to moderate pain in my abdomen, vomiting tendency and restlessness. Local doctors tried treating it with medicines when it didn’t resolve permanently I visited a specialty hospital in Patna the doctor there sensing the emergency asked me to get admitted and started me on IV fluids, Parental Antibiotics and few other medications and advised for a battery of diagnostic tests- CECT full abdomen, XRAY Chest &amp; Abdomen, Ultrasound Full Abdomen, Blood Work, Stool Test, TB Tests and few others. Slowly my condition improved and I was diagnosed with obstruction in my Jejunum. Reason could be TB, Infections, Ulcer, Crones Disease, Cancer of Jejunum, Cancer of Lymph Node, etc. I was referred to higher center in New Delhi for further evaluation as appropriate equipment’s are not available in Bihar.
                            I went to Gangaram Hospital in N.Delhi as it is excellent for Gastro, while in train same problems started again- At Gangaram Hospital doctors sensed the emergency and admitted me and again started me on IV fluids, Parental Antibiotics and few other medications and advised for a battery of other diagnostic tests- Double Balloon Interoscopy, Colonoscopy, CECT Thorax, Blood Work, Biopsy etc. Slowly my condition improved and I was diagnosed with non-specific stomach ulcer from biopsy sample. The doctors were still confused and they presented my case in a conference so that other doctors could discuss and give their opinion- finally they agreed on the diagnosis and gave me medications for ulcer and I’m recovering now.
                            I myself is a doctor and specialize in Gastro- Most of the doctors who treated me are DM Gastro and are considered to be best in the country in Gastro- Both the hospitals where I was treated are network hospitals of MaxBupa. Paras HMRI is the most reputed Hospital of Bihar &amp; Sir Gargaram Hospital is the most respected Gastro Hospital in N.Delhi. But ironically Max Bupa internal team disagree with all of them and they rejected both my Patna &amp; New Delhi claims. Different reasons given:
                            1) Excuse 1: First 90 days only accidental claims: Though the policy states Emergency or accidents
                            2) Excuse 2: It’s not an emergency- All DM Gastro doctors are wrongs, without seeing the patient MaxBupa team came to this conclusion.
                            3) Excuse 3: It’s a chronic condition: Though it has never happened before and the tests reports suggest otherwise.
                            4) Excuse 4: Waiting for it!!
                            I’ve taken legal counsel they have asked to follow these steps:

                            So, choice is simple, Pay heavy premium to Max-Bupa &amp; get treated like me &amp; run from pillar to post for appropriate compensation or select an honest insurance company!! You know the worst part is how the field &amp; customer representatives treat the patients and their attendants- I bought this policy which is supposedly one of the most expensive policy in the market for just one reason that if anything happens to my health then the insurance company will fulfill its obligation and help me financially in my treatment.
                            The customer service rep treats me like an uneducated individual and try to educate me on what is medial emergency, chronic condition and when I asked him/her to connect me to the manager- I was being told that he/she doesn’t see a reason for doing so as what he/she is telling is full &amp; final- It feels like I’m living in a banana republic and MaxBupa is the Judge, Jury &amp; Prosecutor.
                            When I was taking treatment in Gangaram hospital, one of MaxBupa Field Rep made a surprise visit to my room which I initially appreciated it, as he could view the documents and resolve the payment issues. But on the contrary instead of helping me out since I was only on IV fluids and medication for quite some time and feeling quite weak with on &amp; off pain and on top of it the mental agony of going through relentless and painful tests with cancer doubts hanging over my head- he was more interested in taking my pictures and asking me twisted questions which could give him reasons to reject my claim. They should have some sensitivity training in Max Bupa- You are selling health insurance not mobiles phones, when people need you then they are in pain so at least have an ounce of humanity.
                            As Warren Buffet once said “Price is what you pay &amp; Value is what you get”- I paid an excellent price (38 K PA for 5.0 L Individual Policy) to MaxBupa Health Insurance and in terms of value…. Worst financial decision in the last 35 years of my life.

                            Hey guys,

                            Please beware and do not apply for Max Bupa policy, they are scam and just collecting your hard-earned money.
                            My policy number is [protected] and I have paid 16, 574 in first year and they never called me for renewal, now when I called them to renew my policy they are saying its not possible and I need to take new policy..

                            The amount I have paid in first year in not refundable and they are not ready to renew my policy.

                            This is a big scam and please be careful. They will collect your money in first year and never call for renewal, imagine how much money they are making with this scam.
                            Agree with this assessment of Max Bupa. They are extremely unprofessional company only interested in collecting cheques. Do not trust them !

                            Insurance application number 1147481 done directly from the head office in New Delhi - Messrs. Himanshu Kapoor and Amit Maurya. Till one sign ups with them, you get daily calls as well as so many promises, however once signed and you pay the premium, there is total silence.

                            Please find below in bullet format, details of what transpired :


                            1. Dec 11, 2015 – Rs.1, 60, 224.- Premium paid with understanding reimbursement of premium would take a maximum of 4 business days.
                            2. End December, was informed over the phone that the company could not insure me.
                            3. 19/01/2016 – email sent to Himanshu Kapoor asking status of reimbursement. No reply nor acknowledgement of email sent.
                            4. 23/01/2016- email sent to customer care. Auto acknowledgement – however no reply.
                            5. 23/01/2016 – email to grievances redressal
                            6. 25/01/2016 – registered letter sent to customer service manager – no acknowledgement to date
                            7. 25/01/2016 – phone call from Bhaskar A. followed by email requesting – passport size photo and valid id and address proof self attested required. To refund
                            8. 25/1/2016 – email scan and registered letter sent to Bhaskar of AAdhar card and photo.
                            9. 27/1/2016 – phone and email from Bhaskar – saying now needed a scan of self attested PAN card !!
                            10. 02/2/2016 – as had been out travelling – sent email with scan of PAN card.
                            11. 03/2/2016 – phone call from customer care of not accepting my policy !!!
                            12. 04/2/2016 – receive registered letter from Max Bupa saying they need all documents to refund. Does the right hand not know what the left hand is doing?
                            13. 08/2/2016 – receive registered letter from Max Bupa saying they need all documents to refund. Does the right hand not know what the left hand is doing?

                            14. Finally reimbursement takes place on 08/03/2016 and money in my account one week later.

                            To all my registered letters, not a single letter received. Their escalation process described is a full joke all by itself. At the end of the day, I have lost not only time but as well money.

                            As already said a non professional company - DO NOT BUY Their product. It is a real shame that BUPA has signed up with such a company.

                            My experience with Religare Health Insurance company is stellar. Without any questions money came back to my account within hardly of week of declining.

                            Maxbupa is one of the fraud co. I sent claim request in the month of FEb 16 with all required documents, list given by maxbupa .. every week I used to fallowup for the claim . and they used used to 7 more days. and no reply for the mail . now after 3 months .suddenly woke up and asking for some missing info . which I have send 3 months back it self.. and till now I have got my claim ..if any body is taking legal action on maxbupa ..plz let me know I am in...

                            at what percentage max bupa increase the primmum per year.

                            Please read this very carefully before buying or renewing the policy.
                            I meet with an accident and my shoulder got dislocated badly and I was in awful pain and got admitted to hospital . Doctor put me in emergency and operated. I submitted all the relevant documents. Total expenditure was almost 96k. But my claim got rejected saying it I had this problem from last 2 years.

                            I just want to know which technology or investigating agency they have used to come to this not so precise conclusion. I have filled the grievance complaint and I will keep posting all the details I get from them.

                            My elder brother (policy no-[protected]) has also max bupa policy expiring in 2-3 months and you know answer ...
                            96k is not big amount but I am going to fight it to make sure at least people know the truth about MAXBUPA.

                            Please contact on below number if anyone is facing similar issue. We can fight together in court.

                            Nothing is going to happen friend. These people are cheat. My younger brother wen through surgery and an insurance guy came to investigate this. And would you believe what he found out! That this incident happened to him 2 years back. Is this kind of joke. Who will believe this. I have escalated this to higher management and insurance ombdusman. But nothing happened. I have written to higher managers Jyoti Mathur, Sunil Kumar and Gargi Sahu. And i got reply from Sunil (after a month writing to him) and Jyoti on regular basis (automated reply, same thing every time). I have received reply from Gargi Sahu yet(written her 3 months back). The most surprising this is that i have not gotten reply from Insurance Ombdusman (govt body). You cannot go anywhere now. You have robbed by hospital and now these cheaters. And over that the are going to cancel his insurance because they think we have not given proper info to them.

                            And they will not share their details finding of investigation as it is matter of nation security!
                            I wanna file the complaint against the max bupa health insurance, please tell me where i file the complaint against him. i am located in south Delhi, so give me near place address so i file the complaint against this fraud company.

                            You can file a complaint online.. search for Max bupa grievance redressal and you will be guided.

                            But maxbupa is the worst company, they are known for rejecting claims. I have suffered this recently.. they will ask you to go court and ultimately you will stop fighting because you wil be tired and maxbupa will win automatically.

                            Always say NO to max brand.. they are the family of frauds. Tell all your relatives & friends not to buy any Max product.
                            Maxbupa is the worst ever.. it's a team of frauds.. they are looting us with both hands.. first with high premium amounts & secondly by rejecting our claims everytime. They push you to file a case at Ombudsman where mostly don't have time to go and they know this well.. it's their strategy to loot people. I pray that such a company and it's people must die very soon to save lives of many people.

                            i have taken a heath insurance policy for my family from maxbupa however i have a very bad experience my son admit in hospital but he did not approved amount . i ask him what happened he says your son fever is on birth company did not approved in policy and why you did not tell me first time i purchased your policy its your mistake tell me full policy terms and condition and your agent did not tell me birth any problem not in policy and i have call to your customer care but he put my phone in hold 20 mint why this is your customer care and i was call again same put my call on hold and i want return my money and full explanation
