I am writing to you because i would like to submit an application for reimbursement for my medical expenses. As i had received a reply from your company that my reimbursement claim has been rejected.
Would like to inform you that i am not satisfied with your reply, because after suggested by doctor my mother admitted in hospital. But after a day of admission, doctor stopped her treatment because max bupa health care company didn’t pay any amount to hospital. At that we spoke with employee of max bupa (Mr. Arbab and mr. Umesh) they convinced us to pay hospital of around rs. 21, 000. And they took a guarantee to reimbursement
We request you to crosscheck with our doctor and hospital team. And reimburse our payment as earliest.

I hope that you will grant me this request and i look forward to hearing back from you.

    I bought policy of 5lacs from maxbupa after taking everything written in email by maxbupa executive. They told me that there will not be any kind of waiting period for me as i have policy more than 3 years from different company. They sent me policy document which was having complete waiting period same day i informed customer care and i have been told that this will be rectified and they will send me revised document but there was not response at all. I did escalated all three level which is on maxbupa grievance systme but there was no response after few days one called me saying that we can not give you ported policy as insured with other company was written by mistake 2018 instead of 2016 this was type error as this was written by pen. He told me rudely that if you go and escalate on higher level i did escalation on level but no response again i tried contacting higher level gargi sahu but even she was not bother to response on my query. I bough policy on 20th june 2019 and till today my query has not been resolved they have sent me again new document which is having one year of waiting period. They charged me higher premium than earlier company. There is no meaning of selecting health insurance with waiting period as i don't have any kind of waiting period for existing policy. The response from maxbupa was pathetic and no one will bother to resolve query in maxbupa. If you say that i want to cancel policy simply they will tell they will deduct 75% from from premium. Why they want to deduct 75%.

    Please be aware while selecting this worst company for health insurance. Simply maxbupa is not recommended.

    Also i have filled application in consumer court for above matter lets see how this is going further. Will post again.

      I have purchached a health insurance bearing policy no [protected] but due to poor response from the insurer i have cancelled the policy. As per the details provided in the policy for termination grid as i have paid rs 10000 for premium the amount to be refunded are as follows
      Effective date of the policy:-11/03/2019
      Receipt of cancellation request:-07/04/2019
      No. Of effective days:-27
      Refund applicable: - 87.5%

      My health insurance policy been active for 27 days and hence the refund applicable for policy # [protected] is rs. 8750 /- (Approximately).

      I have paid a total amount of ₹10, 000 online on 11/03/2019 (Via payment link rs.10000/- (Ref. Id:[protected] as premium, so the refund money applicable as per cancellation grid of 87.5%, is ₹8750/-

      But after a long discussion and debate with the customer care executives for almost 2 months, max bupa had refunded me an amount of rs 2261 stating that they have recieved the premium amount of rs 2584 only.
      I have given them all the transaction details including bank statement of paying rs 10000 but the didnot refunded me the correct amount. Now the are not responding.

      Kindly help me for getting my money back from such a fraudulent company.

        Today i discharged from batra hospital,

        Max bupa rejected my claim... And the reason was that you had jaundice before the policy was activated... You did not mentioned in the policy.

        Okay i am clearing it... First of all i did not faced any disease named jaundice yet in my life... And as the hospital staff said that they recorded your documentary statement and you have to sign on it... The surveyor came to my room and asked for my problem... I clearly said i that i just had vomitting and stomach ache. I thought it can be jaundice... Record my statement...

        Now the customer care executive is telling me that i have proof of yours jaundice... I want that proof... Right now...

        I want my claim as soon as possible..

        I am max bupa customer for last 2 years..

        This is how they treat their existing customers...

          I had very bad experience with max bupa.

          After paying heavy premium for 6 years, when time came to refund my claims, when i was admitted to hospital for my own treatment.
          First of all, their appointed officers do not cooperate. They don't know their own insurance company's policy details. They simply see your claims details and submit to their head office. After that worst thing is max bupa's appointed doctors. They rejected my claim with the reason that i cannot put here publicly, but when i resubmitted my doctor's diagnosis after that max bupa rejected my claim saying specific word in my diagnose is not covered in their policy. Well that one word was one of the diagnosis. Their doctor didnot bother to check all details.

          Where the hell their officer was when i submitted my claim details first???
          Why he didn't guided me to fill up the form properly. I guess that's what that officer's duty is right?

          After all that hassle when i asked my original documents back, max bupa sent then with permanant stamp on each of my original papers as claim rejected. What the hell. That means they don't want i should go to any of my other insurance company and get my claim settled.

          It:s like kid when i cant give you,... I will ensure nobody gives you.

          What rubbish!!

          I am cursing myself that i paid such huge amount of insurance premium to this company.

            Dear max bupa,

            My policy number is -:2120236
            I started my policy for 3 members from 4th march 2014 at a premium of
            2014-: 28, 000 re
            2015-: 34, 000 rs
            2016-: 43, 000 rs
            2017-: 48, 000 rs
            2019-: 63, 500 rs (Please make a note if i am taking the same policy again from this company than its cost is 53, 000 rs, so how is that possible i have all screenshots and any one can check that online)

            I request you to take a note that we are living in a democratic india now and such a loot is not going to take you anywhere. A case will be fought till we get justice and will ensure that such companies license gets cancelled

            I am filing a class action suit.

            As a lawyer is already recruited. Need 18 more members hence a strong case with 50 members could be filed jointly. As i don’t see this people are going to listen every time the same lame excuse. I would say medical cost has reduced after modi government coming in but max bupa team feels they can charge us as we are trapped as any new medical policy same waiting period will apply.

            Also as people suggested. Please do write to pm modi on his app too many complaints are getting resolved.

            Irda is also not taking any action hence class action suit is only the option we will get the extra money charged to us back with 12%-24% interest + penalty for harrasement and lawyer expense trust me. On this we can not simply not sit quietly.

            We 32 people are ready to go till the highest court if need arises.

            Also please spread this message as this will help us saves others from falling in this trap

              I have been paying the premium from last 5 years and on 18th march 2019 due to kidney failure and insurance agency assume that it should be pre existing issue o this bases the have rejected my cash less claim and asking me to pay first and get back to them for reassessment, at the point when i don't have the money to pay.

              I now decide not to continue with max bupa for the next year and suggest the people who are planing to take new policy in "max bupa" better to take government options than such a company who does not understand the situation of the customer and take decision on assumptions

              Hi, Any insurer when cash less request is received for approval, if the cost of treatment is more i.e in lakhs, they may ask the insured go for reimbursement though cashless is assured in policy document, after submitting all the documents with claim form, insurer will review the same & accept or reject the same, but they cannot simply reject the claim on just assumption of pre existing w/o any proof or document. As far as cash less refusal insured cannot question though there is an assurance in the policy document.

                I was paying from last two years for policy renewal from mr. Ashsih jain, who is working as direct sales manager, at maxbupa health insurance. This time also, since i was travelling i transferred money to mr ashish, but even after one week of money transfer he did not renewed the policy. After one week his phone also not reachable and max bupa also not taking any action against this case. Max bupa should take some against such fraud employees and do needful for us. Even after paying money i am not secured under the policy.

                    I had been paid continuously premium last 3 year
                    — 22 july 2018 — 28059... Fraud its become all fraud.

                    Third year agent took the money on 22 july 2018 but no active my policy. Maxbupa not able to communicate me. I been admitted in hospital then i come to there is big scam in mumbai at andheri maxbuppa. Ashish jain, maxbupa employee, the company not able to take any action against him. Don't purchase maxbupa health insurance. They are fraud company working with fraud people.

                      We are loyalty customer of max bupa from last 9 years and no claim has been made till now.

                      Recently, my father met with an accident, rushed to nearest hospital which is non-network and informed to max bupa customer service immediately. They asked us to submit the required documents along with medical bills and doctors prescription and we submitted the true documents. However, after 30 days of document submission, the claim was rejected specifying the reason "certain discrepancies and misrepresentation of facts". We cross checked with the hospital team to cross verify the submitted documents and hospital management confirmed that max bupa team has not visited the hospital for claim verification at all. We requested max bupa to specify the exact reason for rather than general reason. Where as max bupa rejected to disclose the reason, and still they stand on their decision.

                      We raised grievances with respective authorities, but no use. Simply max bupa team wants to deceive the customer by not paying the claim and stating the misrepresentation of facts.

                      Worst customer service and pathetic reply from the team. Dont recommend max bupa.

                        On 7th Jan 2019 I applied for Max Bupa Medical policy of Rs. 20 Lac for my Dad & Mom age 64 & 59, while I am applying for this I already informed company about the current health condition (Mom don't have any issue and Dad was operated for Kidney Stone 10 years back, Also he was operated for cataract - both eyes 4 years back) of my parents and they initiated the Medical Test for my Parents.

                        On 11th Jan 2019 Medical test for my Parents was conducted as per the update what I have received from Max Bupa that my dad health issue is perfect but for mom they have to initiate TMT on 15th Jan 2019 TMT was conducted and after TMT i received below email with rejection reason from Max Bupa

                        "Dear Sir,

                        Rejection of the proposal has been done for Mrs. Nutan Pangaonkar on the following basis in your application.

                        Application No-2984904

                        Nutan Pangaonkar : Decline Reason :- TMT and ECG does not meet max bupa underwriting criteria history of Stone surgery.

                        If you wish to process for Mr Ajay Pangaonkar as an Individual policy kindly share your approval for mentioned exclusion:-

                        Ajay Pangaonkar : PRE-EXISTING (3 years) - Urolithiasis"

                        My Mom was never operated for Stone Surgery in past still they reject my proposal because of History of Stone Surgery don't know how they assume that my mom was operated in past for Stone or have any issue of stone without stenography.

                        After that I spoke to the sales executive Sooraj about this and he is also not sure reason of rejection as reports are normal and still my proposal was rejected.

                        I spoke to Sooraj and his Sr. Manager for the clarification but they are also clueless. I requested Sooraj to share the medical report which he shared and I showed that report to my Uncle (HOD in Indore MGM college) as per him also reports are normal.

                        After all this Max Bupa Initiated an refund after deducting an amount of Rs. 3, 085.

                        When I was purchasing the policy at that time they told me if they are not able to initiate medical policy due to any reason they will provide me justified reason of not initiating policy or if I decide not to continue with them after medical test they will deduct the amount of Rs. 1200 but they deducted an amount of 3, 085 without sharing the justified reason of not issuing the policy also the reason which they shared are incorrect as my mom was never operated for Stone in past.

                        I such situation when Max Bupa can't provide me justified reason of not issuing a policy they don't have any rights to deducted single penny against the amount which I paid.

                        I already initiated a request against this amount and Service Request number is 3146581

                        I will appreciate if someone from Max Bupa connect with my to solve this issue.

                          I am carrying health insurance in name of my mother with max bupa for last 5 years.

                          I wanted to switch to new policy from heartbeat to health companion and for that i paid the premium within grace period.

                          They ask some questions on the same day and after that i did not received any communication from them.

                          After expiring of the grace period, i called again, then a mail was sent for requirement of medical checkup.

                          Very unprofessional working. After paying amount, person remains insured and they did not even communicate either by mail or by call.

                          I want to place a complaint against max bupa as they have not communicated till the grace period ended. And then come and say for the sake o company policy you need to done medical checkups.

                          In last two years, premium was increased too much without sending any notice on that.

                            I had taken health insurance policy from max bupa in mumbai from 2014 and it was being renewed every 2 years. I was told by their staff that there will be increase of 5-10% increase in the premiums on every renewal. But to my surprise this year in nov 2018 they increased my premium by 30% without any additional benefits. I called their office in new delhi and send them about 20 emails asking the reason for 30% increase in premium rate but did not get any valid reason or reply from them. I send emails to their grievance department and to their ceo but always it was their standard reply that this the premium which cannot be reduced. I even send my grievance to ombudsman in new delhi but did not receive any reply. Ultimately i had to do some adjustment in my policy to reduce the premium amount and had to renew the policy.
                            Being such a big and well known company in india their quality of customer service is zero and their management does not get care about their customers. They do not give any commitment in writing and will never deliver what they promise. So i would like to warn everyone that get everything from them in writing before taking any policies from them.

                              I have been approached by my bank to buy this insurance. I really did not want to seeing their bad reviews but my bank standard chartered kept insisting me i had to buy it for 2 years and i disclosed to them that my mother has diabetes. My mother was admitted for anaemia and the hospital informed maxbupa about it. They pre-approved the claim. No one came to the hospital to check anything unlike other insurance companies. On the last day when my mother was about to be discharged they started asking for documents and said they made a mistake by pre-approving and rejected my claim saying that it is a pre-existing disease without giving any document or evidence where my doctor clearly certified that it was not a pre-existing disease. My mother was discharged around 6 pm and i had to pay all the amount all of a sudden. I had to borrow money from others. I decided to cancel the policy and sent them a mail. After few months, they dooubled the premium and automatically debited my account as soon as i had one of my fd matured there.

                              Now my bank balance is zero and i have no money left for treatment.

                                This policy was issued to me last year for rs 32000/- and we applied instantly. None of your sales guys informed us on future premium hikes. Also, nowhere in the sales discussions and quote sent it was ever communicated or explained that next year onwards the policy premium will go 15000/- dearer to me. Now the new premium is 48000. Please note just 1 year of policy been brought.

                                I have gone through the soft copy of the policy document, all email communications, quote sent and receipt shared. No mention whatsoever.

                                I hereby decline to pay this premium that is increased by rs 15, 000/- and consider this a clear case of consumer duping and cheating. I am copying my in-house counsel who will take this up with the appellate authority, ombudsman and consumer court.

                                Their justification is that premium increases with increase in age slabs something that they didn't pay heed to explain it to the consumer at all while selling their plans. Obviously, anyone would react to a false advertising, duping sales guys and such unethical policies when we are forced to pay double the premium for no rhyme or reason.

                                  My mother was admitted for anaemia and low haemoglobin. They first approved my pre-hospitalization request and then at the time of payment they refused to pay saying that ped cannot be ruled out. Their claim settlement ratio is worst and earlier they used to reply here. Now they dont reply also.

                                  Dont go for this insurance my experience is very bad with them.

                                    Hi - at the time of taking policy from max Bupa [protected] and [protected], it was sold to be under incorrect marketing that they have OPD centre all over India. I took one of the policy for my parent who are in 60's so that they can go for their OPD treatments at this age via this policy.

                                    One week later my parent wanted to visit a doctor in Raipur since they stay there ( it was specifically mentioned by me that my parents are in Raipur ) and I had to keep calling max Bupa for 2-3 days as I wasn't able to see any OPD centres in Raipur and they sold me a OPD policy whioch was a shocker.

                                    After 2-3 days of painful conversation, my parents had no choice but to go for a normal doctor which obviously wasn't covered.

                                    Even if you go through their list of network hospital in Raipur its just 7-8 hospital and all the hospital are c grade with none of the even decent hospitals like chattishgarh research centre etc being cover which all insurance company covers

                                    when I asked them that I want to cancel the policy, they imposed term and condition that I need to pay for medical test which my parents had to go through blah blah before taking policy. This company has not only troubled my parents by making them go for medical test before issuing policy but also never disclosed about no OPD centre in Raipur and now at the time of cancellation we have to pay our hard earned money

                                    I want to file a case against this company for much more then a simple refund but more for false market practices and mental harassment. I am already in touch with my lawers to take strict action against this company

                                    Please note that they have raised the Service Request number is 2833052 & 2833056 on my case which i will quite on my Legal notice to them.

                                      Last 2 Months I leave it the job from Max Bupa Health Insurance Co ltd chandigarh as Relationship Associate (Bancassurance). Existing employ code: P106091. My d. O. J 16/01/2017 and d. O. L 02/07/2018. But still date my date of exit and exit of reason is not update in uan portal. I send many time mail Max Bupa hr team (Delhi). But proper not reponse for me. I have face many problem regarding this issue online withdrawal amount.

                                        Policy holder:honey saluja. Last year on 8july i have taken treatment. For the same problem how can my approval denied without giving any genuine reason. Ivhave problem. I have submitted document for that. Dr is ready to give me treatment for that problem. Company wants wat document clear us.
