Claim submitted on 15.02.2017 for rs20263/. Additional details like initial case papers /first consultation/indoor case papers/patient's health history were called on during may 2017. The hospital by name rana hospital, located at salai road tiruchirappalli tamil nadu is a reputed one and is existence for more than four decades. Since it is not a corporate type of hospital there is no separate department to look after insurance claims. I met the doctor (After waiting for six hours) and requested him to arrange for furnishing the details called for by md india. The doctor expressed his inability to part with the details called for as the discharge summary contain all the details. He is also not willing to give such inability in writing. I have sent a detailed mail to md india on 19.05.2017 in this regard. As requested by one of the staff of md india i have authorised md india to obtain the required particulars directly from the hospital. Till date i have not received sanction. I hope you will visualise the plight of a senior citizen

nothing to update
It has been a month we have applied for insurance & it has not been claimed yet. So I request you to look on it as soon as possible. We require this to happen as early as possible because we are in need of resources, as we are running short to it.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Claim number: 3191878. We have been continuously follow up from last 1.5 for reimbursement till date we have received settlement. We have sent supporting documents 4-5 times via courier and whatsapp number. One time they replied docs. Received and after 3-4 days second person said we have not received documents. This is like office - office. Every time we spoke with different person and they had given different status.. This is very bad service what i have faced. For deduction also we have supporting docs 4-5 times still somtimes one person said received and our team is wirking on and after sometime called different person said docs not received. Its a fradulent.. We have given complaint 3-4 times for reimbursement still complaints are not resolved. No one from mdindia is found to be serious about peoples feelings...

          Have a baroda health policy
          Renewed pol no 603901/50/16/10004209.
Also had previous policy. Since january2016 we have not received id cards from tpa (Md india).

I am continuously following up for the same.

When i enquired. Finally they dargged it for 15 days to confirm on enrollment.
Again i requested for cards now they are asking for photo of proposer.
(That too should be submitted to nearest md india office. Cant be submitted online)
Since inception why were they quiet
Isn't it duty of tpa to provide card.
I am worried how many of the customers are suffering for the negligence by tpa in this way.

It took 20 days. But not yet resolved.
What kind of service is this. Is there not tat for tpa to issue id cards?.

Your immediate action is highly appreciated

It has been nearly 2 months where reimbursement mediclaim has been sent to the MD India however there are only false promises given that the Amount will be credited within 7 days. This is a repetitive response given by the call center & where asked for a senior person to speak with the call is just disconnected saying the senior person is not available .Very pathetic customer service !!!
Since it has been conveyed to the complainent that claim no 3018416 has since been sanctioned for Rs245087/ on 13/04/17 in spite of my repeated talk with the concerned they have not remitted me sanctioned amount and unnessary hrassinng me.. Please arrange to send the claim

Even though I have sent documents no update has been done from MD India Chennai branch.

Verbally they have confirmed that they have received documents. Even Postak department status shows that they have been delivered the documents.

It is almost one month that no response from them.

My policy No.620701/34/15/[protected]. In this policy I am getting SMSes
from MD India about the submission of cashless scheme and settlements. But the SMSes do not contain the nature of queries raised by you with the hospital and also the sum (amount) involved. I suggest that your SMSes should contain these details for the benefit of the insurer as these corporate hospitals do not properly interact with the patients either on the billing or the necessity of certain tests. In fact they simply take signatures of attendants and proceed with the treatment of the patient without informing the expenses involved from time to time i.e without bothering about their capacity to bear the same. Also the various charges are not displayed in any prominent place for the benefit / information of patients. The attendants sign all papers in emergency (having no time for application of mind at that time) and the same are taken as a cover by the hospitals should there be any questions. This is what I found here. In my above mentioned policy neither the hospital nor MD India informed me the amounts/queries involved between the hospital and MD India. You may take cover on some pretext or the other. The attendants of the patients are normally under stress and may omit to enquire. But as a matter of caution you should disclose these particulars too. In my case the mere ignorance of the pattern of charges linking to the category of the bed cost me about Rs.41, 000/- As against the bill of the hospital for about Rs.60, 00/- You allowed about Rs.19000/- . You can imagine the value of the amount lost for a senior citizen. The Banks send smses to its customers, from to time, not to disclose the PIN / Pass words etc. as a matter of precaution. Similarly, you should disclose in the sms these important details too. Otherwise what purpose the SMS will serve? I am going to write separately on this to you as well as the Insurance Company. Meanwhile, pl. ponder over this and implement my suggestion/ address the complaint...K B Rama Murthy

                            Sir,

Me satish s bhanse, addl. Exe. Engineer, cstps, bearing sap id 101864, wants to highlight the issue of lacona in md india mediclaim services.

I am the direct victim of the situation, my wife mrs. Chetna satish bhanse, had undergone the cataract surgery on 16/12/16 at evista eye carecentre nagpur. The request and intimation was given to md india for cashless on 13/12/2016 and they release the initial approval of rs. 16000/-. On having talk in between md india and the hospital it was considered that final release of payment will be done on submission of discahrge summary and hospital bill, and accordingly, final bill of rs.45000/- was claimed by the hospital followed by eye surgery on 16/12/16.

Now the hospital has records that mahagenco employee for same surgery got sanctioned with 32700/-amount in all the previous cases, so hospital advised me to deposite difference amount and took the patient home. Also prior to surgery 15 days back, ihad long talks with md india chandrapur nodal mr. Dange, and sr. Manager mr. Pramod, in which i clarified every query regarding, and that time they too admit that in your case 32700/- will be approved, with this consent i approach to hospital and choose the package of 45000/-.

Post surgery md india do not release the additional payment of 16700/- (Monofocal lens), and misery starts there. Next day when i went to the hospital for follow up, they cause me into the trouble and forcing me to make payments, following the demonetisation i was short of money so i rush to chandrapur leaving patient in hospital, i informed w/o cstps mr. Waghmare, md india but they all fail to come over the situation, next day was sunday so, i wait for monday, menwhile the panic, and irritating, a frustating situation i had undergone is unexpressible. Monday isuue was raised to dycro mr. Mukesh meshram, we all had long talk in mobile conference call where mr. Pramod admits his mistakes of not being approving the said amount and blame the hospital for cause, and agreed to solve issue in quick time, and promised to release payment shortly, then md india and hospital has war of documentation just a display and till the time payment is not released.

In meantime hospital continuously calling me for payments, and md india just excusing the situation, and i am the sufferer.26/12/16 is the next follow up due date, and i am afraid of the situation to come on day.

My experience with md india is so worse, very hectic, and miserable one sir. Md india have no respect for human values and emotions, very irresponsble work attitude and negligence found on their side.

This is not the only case of mine, many of ours employee have suffered this way, we are not availing mediclaim benefits, its like falling victims to the mediclaim.

Sir, we are about to renew the policy for next year, so, its my humble request to your kind office, please take feedbacks from those who were suffered the situations, and face the lackonas in policy while taking its benefits. The feedback from situation faced employee may responsible to improve the policy more advantageous. And if possible ulternate option of go 20 can be taken into consideration.

Sir, in my case now they refuse to pay the remaining amount. Please do the needful.

I have a medilaim policy since 1999 which includes my father, mother, wife and two children. My father, 88 years had a fall few months ago. Total hospital bill comes to rs 3, 09, 281. His insured amount is rs 2 lakhs and cumulative bonus is rs 60, 000 total rs 2, 60, 000/-.
Though he was admitted for fracture neck of femur right side he had developed problems like kidney failure, cardiac arrest, hypertension, mild renal failure and intestinal obstruction etc. during the period of stay in hospital so, hospital stay was 25 days. however, insurance management company said that there was only one illness so, they could sanction only 40% of the sum assured and accordingly they passed only rs 40% of the sum assured and we got only aggregate total rs 1, 95, 000 against the sum assured plus cumulative bonus of rs 2, 60, 000. Mediclaim under Citi Bank Mediclaim policy and insurance company is The New India Assurance Co.Ltd. My claim was registered by MDIndia Healthcare services, Chennai under CCN: MDI2668606. Please do the needful to get the balance claim amount also.Policy no: 712500/34/15/21/00000016/ MD15-[protected].
