I purchased Micromax mobile model A106 (Unite-2) from M/S Raju Traders, Manimajra (Chandigarh) on August 5th, 2014 vide receipt no. 045 for 7, 600/-. This mobile had Network issue since the day I purchased. Earlier I thought that it was sim card issue as I was only using 1 sim card in phone. But later on I discovered that the problem is with the handset and not with the sim card so I visited Micromax authorised service centre named M/S Abacus Systems, SCO 824, Manimajra (Chandigarh) in December and the engineer there reinstalled the software and told me that the problem was because of the software.
Once I began to use the phone, I found that the issue was still not resolved. Again I visited the service centre M/S Abacus Systems on December 22nd, 2014 and this time the engineer told me that the handset motherboard needs to be replaced and they have to send the handset to Delhi and the time it would take is 1-2 weeks. So I deposited my handset with the service centre vide Jobsheet number: N[protected], Jobsheet Date: 22/12/2014.
I called Micromax customer support on December 31st, 2014 to enquire about the status of my handset. The customer support agent named Aakash there registered a case (Case ID: MMX[protected], Dated 31/12/2014) and told me that he is forwarding my complaint to his senior team and they will get back to me in 2 days. It is now well over the 2-weeks period and there is no sign of my handset, neither has the senior team contacted me to give an update. I called the Service Centre, M/S Abacus Systems on January 3rd 2015 and was informed that 30 more days will be required for motherboard replacement.
Such service is totally unacceptable. I purchased the smartphone to use it. It isn’t some sort of a luxury item to put on display that even if it isn’t there for a while it won’t be missed. The lack of my smartphone is causing me loss of productivity. I’m already receiving complaints from my clients that they are unable to reach either one of my 2 mobile numbers. How much longer can I let this go on because obviously it impacts my income.
I want you, Micromax, to take immediate action on my complaint, fix my phone and provide it back to me immediately barring which I will be willing to take legal action against you.
