It is intimated that while driving our car i20 Hyundai White colour Car with No. CH01 AG 9554 on 18 Dec, 2021 from Gwalior towards Jhansi, on the Toll plaza "DAGRAI", after scanning Fastag, message displayed was "INSUFFICIENT amount".
With great Difficulty, We managed to came out of the queue in reverse gear, to get the money loaded in Fastag (Rs. 1-000/). After wasting 15 minutes in this process, we reached Toll Gate to cross, and it operated to allow passing of our i20 Car. But to our Shock, the toll gate fell on our Car before the car could have crossed the passage. Thereby, it damaged the car roof due to hitting of the gate. The whole activity has been captured in the CCTV installed on that Toll.
Again due to the damage caused due to hitting the car, we stopped our car. A lot of time wasted in arguments. Staff simply apologized for the mal-fuctioning of the toll gate.
The message after toll tax deduction was:
"Paid Rs. 120.0 toll for CH01AG9554 on 18 Dec, 2021 6:16 PM. TXnld : 001000211218139160402. Updated paytm Bal: Paytm Wallet - Rs. 1705.28.
So clearly, there was balance of Rs. 825.28/- before top-up of Rs. 1000/-, but wrong message was displayed as "insufficient balance, thereby causing embarrassment & wastage of time.
