Sub: Theft Claim of my Vehicle Wagon R Regn No.. UP80AC7382:: Policy No. 3708428 Maruti Insurance:: Claim lying at National Insurance Co. Ltd., Branch III, HariParbat, AGRA & lying undelivered for past 6 months
Dear Sir,

My vehicle Wagon R Lxi Regn No UP80AC7382 was insured under above policy no. 3708428, by National Insurance Co. Ltd., under Maruti Insurance Tie - Up by M/s Kavisha Motors at Agra.

Unfortunately, my vehicle was stolen on 13.03.2009 and since then, the steps taken by me are as under;
(1) Dated 17.03.2009:: Intimation given to local Branch No. 3 of National Insurance at Agra .
(2) Dated 17.07.2009:: Intimation given to Local Surveyor, Sh. Gajendra Kumar Rawat Mobile no. [protected], for acceptance of Final Report by Court and subsequently he collected all the papers in original from my home.
(3) Since then more than 2 months have passed, I have visited the local branch office several times to enquire about the claim payment of my vehicle BUT every time I have been informed that since the report from RO i .e. Dehradun Regional office has not been received, further processing cannot be done.

I am really surprised at the poor ways of working of the National Insurance company, in spite the fact that the above mentioned company authorized surveyor has collected the papers from us then why the report is not submitted.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT MY WIFE HAS ALREADY RECEIVED A FEELER FROM YOUR OFFICIALLY APPOINTED SURVEYOR DEMANDING BRIBE FOR SPEEDY SETTLEMENT OF THE CLAIM - I NEED THIS CLARIFICATION BEFORE I INITIATE LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THE SURVEYOR & THE WORKING WAYS OF THE INSURANCE COMPANY WHO EMPLOYEES SUCH PEOPLE

PLEASE LOOK INTO THE MATTER AND ARRANGE TO LET ME KNOW URGENTLY THE FOLLOWING:
(1) ANY PENDING PROCEDURES THAT I HAVE TO FOLLOW - THOUGH THEY HAVE ALL BEEN DONE & COMPLETED LONG BACK
(2) HOW MUCH TIME IT WILL TAKE TO SETTLE THE CLAIM.
(3) I HEREBY PUT THE NATIONAL INSURANCE COMPANY ON NOTICE AND WILL HOLD THE COMPANY DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THE LOSS OF INTEREST WEF 17TH JULY 2009 WHICH IS BEING INCURRED BY ME DUE TO THE ABOVE DELAYS AS MAY BE APPLICABLE TILL THE CLAIM IS FINALLY RECEIVED BY ME

I herewith request the National Insurance Company to settle the above claim at the earliest

Yours Sincerely,

Capt. Vivek CharanDas Gupta

    Reg.: Policy no. 00761946

With reference to my above policy, I had claimed insurance on 24/04/2009 for which I have made payment of Rs. 4529/- to Hitendra Agencies (from whom I had repaired my bike). I have not received the claim amount from you, although 4 months have lapsed since I have made the claim.
The surveyor name and contact no. is _Jatin Parab : [protected]
I have been in constant touch with Mr. Prakash (#[protected] regarding the above claim. His only reply is that the claim is being processed and they are awaiting approval from your Delhi office.

It has come to my knowledge that besides my claim application, many other claim applications have been kept pending for many months. The poor service offered by you has left me very upset. I am not satisfied with the services offered by your company. Henceforth, I will renew my insurance with some other company and I will also strongly recommend others not to take insurance from this company. If this is the state of affairs, you may as well close down the company.

Please look into the matter and ensure that I get my claim amount at the earliest.

    Thanking you,

    Yours faithfully,

This refers to the policy no. 250500/48/08/[protected] in the name of my mother Mrs. Radha Narayanan with National Insurance Company.

She had undergone cataract surgery on 14/02/2009. On 26/02/2009, I had put up my claim through Heritage Health Services Pvt Ltd.

As per the policy, claims are supposed to be settled within 45 days. Now almost three months have passed, still the claim is not settled.

My claim files reference no. 12905601. I have been following daily with Heritage, but I am getting the same reply – “under process”.

The service rendered a reputed company like National Insurance to a senior citizen is really pathetic.

Kindly look in o the matter at the earliest.

            Dear Sir

We have taken our mediclaim policy from M/S NATIONAL INSURANCE COMPANY LTD. from last 4-5 years without any break.

Last year on very first instance, when I came to know the severe pain in my left kidney and I believe that due to some stone particles. This later on diagnosed by the doctors also. I immediately admitted to the nearest hospital i.e. Sarvodya Hospital on 27th May 2008. I was till there on 28th May 2008, therefore again for the same problem admitted on 31st May 2008 and discharged on 3rd June 2008 (the cashless approval was granted by Vipul for the said stay and whole treatment, which was not cured at Sarvodya Hospital). As the stone position in the kidney area was critical to operate there in the hospital, hence the hospitals officials called the doctors from outside for their valued opinion and after their mutual discussion, my family members were called and advised that since we do not have the sufficient machine / instrument to operate on that particular portion, where the stone is lying, advised my family members to take me to the Sharma Nursing Home, Faridabad, which has the expertise to resolve these types of critical cases, as they are having their in house facilities through their special and latest technology / machines for operating such types of critical cases.

Therefore, that was the time when we were not in position to even think more for any other option and proceeded as per the doctors’ advice. Upon these facts and position, I was taken and admitted by my family members in Sharma Nursing Home, Faridabad on 4th June 2008 and operated there and discharged in normal health condition on 9th June 2008.

At last I had submitted my claim for reimbursement of money spent by me to National Insurance Company and National Insurance Company refusal letter dated 22nd August 2008 came to me stated that the hospital where you have been treated, is not in our list of Hospitals.

Now, we are facing big problem for related to claim. National Insurance harasses us from last 7-8 months. When we have taken this policy there is not in hospital list. After when they do start limited hospital lists. They have not given us any information through courier or any source. . Every 3 months or 6 months they are changing hospital lists and give not any information to customer.

So, how can we update about it. Sir, right now we are in financial crises. We have gone to National Insurance at least 100 times form last 8 months. They have sent our case in their R. O. Office. They rejected also become of hospital. Our problem is genuine. We told them to check it out. But they harass us continue and misguide also. Please clear our case as soon as possible. They had already passed 40-50 cases as per our cases. Because some customers are relative of insurance Company’s employees. But they rejected our case without any reason. The Manager of National Insurance Mr. Kaul & Mr. M K Dhariwal have no answer about our case. They always said “your case is OK” But R.O. has rejected the file. They have advised us to go to R.O... We are already wasted our lot of time, Money and Fuel also. We are regularly disappointed by them. Now there is no way out to approach to you people. This is our humble request you to clear our case and make the Cheque of our Claim and our fuel expenses if it is possible.

            .
Sir, my humble request to you is that please look in to the facts of case and kindly accord your approval, So that the reimbursement is made available to me at the earliest. I am again enclosing a copy of all mediclaim policies Photocopy and rejection Letter of Insurance Company for your ref.

Kindly take a necessary action immediately

            Thanking You

              Dear Sir
With refference to mail received from you I would like to say that being group medical insurance policy (Floatal Policy) was given to me from National Assurance company Ltd, card was not given to me being a group insurance
It learnt that previously some members recived the cards, after they stoped giving cards to all of the members hence I am not having cards as I could not recived the same. The company started group insurance after stopping the cards.
Please look into the matter and solve the promblem sympathetically,
Wishyou happy New Year & I hope it will be happy for us too.
              Thanking you.

              Sir
I was detected of CHOLELETHIASIS, on 25th of October 2017 and on 4th December 2017 was advised Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy by Dr Satheesh Iype of PVS Memorial Hospital Ltd at Kaloor, Ernakulam on and scheduled it for 13th December 2017. Same day I reported to the Insurance claim division of the Hospital and was advised to report on 12th December 2017 and they will take care of the rest. I did so on 12th and furnished my policy details.
The surgery did take place on 13th and I was advised for discharge on 14th December. The total bill of the Hospital came to be Rs.68373/- and I was told to wait up to 5-5.30 pm to get the authorization. But the wait pronged to 6 pm and after and a message from VK-M BUDDY came to my Mob [protected] that Rs10000/-is authorized for cashless. And the Hospital naturally wanted me to pay up the balance Rs 58373/-. I felt it prudent to pay up the whole bill and later take up the claim directly with you. The whole money was somehow arranged and I got out of the Hospital at about 7 pm as I was told that staying beyond 8 pm in the room will entail further rent.
The whole thing appears to have been designed that the Hospitals should get their money without wait from the Insurer. Those who believe the treatment is going to be cashless it is a shock. I understand that the mandate to agencies like you is to guard the interest of the Insurer, by curtailing/denying/dilly dallying with the patient’s claim. Yet I wish somebody look on such merciless acts more closely.
I am along with this submitting my claim duly signed with all reports and bills in original and await to hear from you. I must also be told whether there was any lapse on the part of the Hospital in handling my case, so that they are also called upon to testimony if warranted.

              With very best regards

              Yours truly

                Dear all,

Claim not paid since April 2008 (Aprox one Year)

I met with an accident on 5th April 2008 and intimated the NIC well in time. To my great surprise the Nationa insurance (Sec26 Madhya Marg, Chandigarh) is not paying my claim till date. where as all the formalities have been completed by me. The branch also missed some documents which i again completed and handed over to them.

Once i called Mr. Marwari and wanted to know the status of the case, he repleid that he is in the market, i got him reminded that he is talking to me on land line phone call. one can judge the responsibility and attitude.

Is there any one who can help me to come out from this cruel game of NIC.

                waiting for reply.

I hold along with my wife a Varistha Mediclaim Policy with Critical illness cover of National Insurance Company issued by the Kolkata Division X office, effective from 20.02.2008, paying as per it’s rule, 10% loading on premiums for being fresh entrants.
                  1) At the time of renewal in February 2009 I was told that I shall have to pay again the 10% fresh entrant’s loading as per rule though I categorically drawn to the concerned officer's attention on the very nomenclature of the term “fresh entrants” which makes itself self explanatory. It is not understood how a policyholder will remain fresh even at subsequent renewals. Unfortunately, to keep the policy alive I had to cough up the 10% loading on the premiums extra, though I no longer remain a fresh entrant at renewal.
                  2) I have not been supplied with a premium calculation worksheet where details e.g. loading, taxes, cess etc are enumerated along with the premiums item-wise, to let a client understand what he has been charged for payment. The receipt of payment given to me does not show the 10% fresh entrant loading separately.
                  3) When I received the policy I found to my dismay that no bonus due to claim free last year was accounted. I understand that a 5% deduction in premiums can be given at the time of renewal of policy against claim-free last year.
                  4) The aforesaid Varistha Mediclaim Policy was enclosed in the Mediclaim Policy (Individual) brochure, many of the rules/clauses stated in which vastly differs with those of Varistha Mediclaim. This amounts to misguiding the policyholders who are senior citizens and deserves careful guidance. Interestingly, perhaps to avoid accountability the space for stamping the address of policy issuing office on the first page of the aforesaid brochure is left blank.

I want the National Insurance Company to refund the 10% fresh entrants loading it charged 2nd time to me and also the 5% reduction in premiums it did not make as bonus for clam free last year.

The National Insurance company must educate their staff to be more conversant with rules etc of their products.

                    1. Burglary detected and lodged complain to Police and informed NIC immediately.
2.NIC agent visited the premise and inspected and assessed loss.
                    3. NIC told that Police complain is not FIR and hence FIR copy generated with attachment of old diary and submitted.
                    4. Despite several follow up and genuine case NIC refused to process this claim.

As a common citizen of India, and being a aged woman I am feeling helpless in this situation and extremely disappointed with NIC service and if no action taken in future, I like to spread this news so that this kind of harassment should not occur in future to anybody else. There is no point of going for insurance with NIC if their officers responded in this way.

I shall not continue with NIC in future, if not action is taken with immediate effect.
                    Thanks and Best Regards,

                      Dear Sir,
We are sorry to request your precious time for matters like these but after more and enough correspondence with M/s.National Insurance company and TPA M/s.E-Meditek Solutions (IRDA License no:007), we are left out with no other option other than seeking your kind help.
The attached email excerpts are documentary evidence of how TPA M/s.E-Meditek makes demands for unnecessary documents, the significance of which are unknown to the Insurance Company as well.
It has been more than 1.5 months for claim no.1 and more than a year for claim no.2 but we are yet to receive compensation in spite of submitting genuine sufficient documents.
Senior officials like Dr.M.C Agarwal (CRM Chief, National Insurance), Mr.K.P Srinivasan (Incharge, Mumbai) have extended support to us at all times but they themselves agree that they have no control over their TPA M/s.E-Meditek .Also, they humbly accept that they are fed up of M/s.E-Meditek as much as the policy holders and they have appointed a new TPA to resolve the problem.
However, unfortunately our above mentioned claims are under M/s.E-Meditek and we haven’t received any compensation till date.
We have tried to contact M/s.E-Meditek number of times through Phone, Email etc. but all in vain.
In fact Mr.K.P Srinivasan was kind enough to give us the Mobile number of Dr.Yashendra ([protected]) but the same was never answered.
We look forward for your kind intervention in order to receive compensation against both our above mentioned claims and monetary compensation against the large amount of precious time, money and energy wasted.
Also, We would like to bring to your notice that we are not the only family suffering due to the behaviour of M/s. E-Meditek but there are hundreds of such other cases against this party lodged on various consumer forums on the internet.

                      Dear Mr.Agarwal,
Thank you for your courtesy and prompt response. As per information required by you,
1.)Policy is a renewal policy and not a new policy
2.)As for duration of osteoporosis, we have spoken to the third party but surprisingly meaning explained by you and the third party is different.Which one do we consider to be correct?
As per your explanation, it means the time span when osteoporosis was detected and as per the third parties explanation, the time span of the treatment.
Another interesting fact is that both of the above requirements are clearly evident from the submitted documents.I hope you will agree that your tpa is doing nothing else but wasting yours, ours and senior Doctors precious time by demanding such insignificant papers.
If these sort of things are not corrected in the prima facie stage, they will continue to make the system inefficient resulting in nothing else but decreased productivity and waste of precious time.

                      Dear Ms.Anita Yadav,
This refers to telecon with you on 10/01/09.We had visited the doctor owing to the pain from which Mrs.Sumitradevi Tekriwal was
suffering since 5-6 days before 24/10/08.On 24/10/08 osteoporosis was detected which is clearly evident from the bone density report
submitted to M/s.E-Meditek.The report clearly states that a T score of less than equal to -2.5 S.D is osteoporosis.

Why this kind of treatment with us?

                      Dear Dr.MC Agarwal,
Please refer to the appended email. In spite of clear instructions from senior officials like Mr.K.Prasanna Srinivasan from your
company, TPA E-Meditek does not respond. The fact that they have a habit of harassing customers by demanding unnecessary
documents was already known but now it seems they have a similar attitude towards the insurance company.
Also Ms.Anita Nagothanekar(Yadav) at your Mumbai branch is not at all bothered to respond to the customer.I have given her
details of my past pending claim(other than the one in discussion) as mentioned below
                      Claim No. : NI/INDV/32007/00139868
Policy number: 250700/48/06/[protected] but she never bothered to reply.
I am sorry to mention but private companies like ICICI lombard, Reliance general are able to dispatch the cheque within 2 weeks of
claim submission, they have cashless tie-ups with the best of the hospitals, and their staff is highly customer responsive.
However I shall appreciate once again, the prompt response and customer responsive attitude reflected from your way of
working as an individual, but I am sorry to say that the same is no where visible in your staff.

                      Dear Mr.Srinivasan,
Greetings of the day !After exchanging 15-20 emails, It was a pleasure talking to you on 06/02/2008.
The conclusions I have derived out of the conversation are as follows:
1.)The payment against the claim which is to be funded by National Insurance is at TPA's discretion.
2.)Ours is not the only case, but there are a large number of people who are facing problems with M/s.EMeditek
3.)National Insurance has decided to go for a new TPA for the new and the renewed policies.
We strongly believe that every penny paid by us to National Insurance as premium was hard earned and all the claims
requested by us till date were/are very genuine. Also we are confident that honesty is an integral part of New
                      India's organizational culture.
But, the fact remains that TPA M/s.E-Meditek is taking us all for a ride.We thank you for giving us contact
details of M/s.E-meditek, but as informed by you well in advance, they do not respond to telephone
                      calls/emails.
A lot of time, money, energy has already been wasted at both ends. Also, while purchasing the policy, we had
taken into consideration National Insurances reputation and not E-Meditek.In order to close this asap we propose the
                      following:
1.) National Insurance to directly pay us for both our pending claims over ruling all inefficient
procedures, documentation within 7 working days.
2.)If required National Insurance can do an in-house reassessment of the claim to confirm genuinity.
3.)We shall refund immediately any double payment if received from E-Meditek
Please take your time and let us know your decision within a working day.Incase we do not receive your
response, we will be forced to take up the matter with Mr.Vashisht(Insurance ombudsman) for Maharashtra.
                      Best Regards
                      Manoj Tekriwal

He is saying that the location of the machinery is Khanpur and claim under only here is covered. it is 100% wrong. The Khanpur is the location of my Office. Respected Sir,

I am having an insurance policy of national insurance co. for my car Wagon R LXI. I had met with an accident on 08 August '08 and was contacted by a surveyor V.B Sehgal. The car was completley damaged and was declared "Total Loss". The surveyor since then has given me very hard time, I have been repeatedly following up with him to get my claim. Until now he has only paid me 30% of the total claim. I'm extremly dis appointed with the service provided and now am considering the option of consumer court.

PS I have already booked a new car for which down payment has been paid and the bank is still deducting the EMI for my old Wagon R which was declared total loss.

Kindly look into the matter and take necessary action asap.

                                    Dear Sir,

With a heavy heart I have to submit before you the following facts for your kind consideration and immediate redressal

I submitted a bill in the name of my wife Mrs. Mousumi Majumdar who had undergone treatment in Ramakrishna Mission Seba Prathisthan, 99, Sarat Bose Road, Kolkata- 700026 during 29th Jan 2008 to 5th Feb. 2008 along with all necessary documents. All my efforts to get the payment or a reply has failed. Even when I wanted to talk to the divisional manager, (Division XIV) Mr. Konar, he was so rude over the telephone that dialogue could not be completed.

As the bill has remained pending for nearly six months I would request you to kindly see that I get the payment within the next couple of weeks. Otherwise I will be left with no alternative but to approach the next competent authority including Insurance Ombudsman.

                                    Thanking you,

                                    Yours truly,

                                    Mr. Samar Majumdar.

My father Purchased a Maruti Wagon R on[protected] from & was insured for Rs:-3, 50, 000/-. But due to company manufacturing defect/service defect the back wheel hub had been broken which made the vehicle to roll over on the road & was the reason for the accident which occured on[protected].

Since I was driving, I informed the nearest police station & Maruti Dealer of Bellary (K.P.F.Ltd) about the accident.Thank God Luckly No one got injured.

I tochened the vehicle and left it to Maruti Dealer of Bellary (K.P.F.Ltd) on[protected] & asked for estimate. I received the estimate after 6-7 days which amounted to Rs:- 2, 85, 000/-& the Insurance Claim Form was submitted.

But till today[protected] we have not received any claim .The Surveyor is saying that the file is under process at Regional / Divisional Office or some times he offers us to settle for full settlement for Rs:-3, 00, 000/-.

Both Maruti National Insurance Company & Maruti Dealer of Bellary (K.P.F.Ltd) are not doing justice . How can a person who owned a new vehicle for Rs:-4, 40, 000/- (Inclusive of Road Tax) just three & half a month ago can accept Rs:-3, 00, 000/- for full settlement. I just want to know on what basis they are offering such a low amount & what % of depreciation had been deducted.

I am just thinking to go for the Consumer Court against

                                      1) Maruti Suzuki Pvt Ltd., for selling defective goods. Due to our good luck we have been saved . Coming alive after 3-4 lapses of the vehicle due to back drum hub breaking is not less than a miracle.

2)Maruti National Insurance Company for delaying in the process of settelment

Please help me in this matter & suggest me for the next step

I m the owner of maruti esteem car, and the customer of national insurance company too. m not at all satisfied with the service of T.R.Sawhney motors pvt. ltd. badli ...We people think that these service stations are costomer supportive but as their dealing i saw, i think they make their customer harras too. Instead of solving the problem of customers, they create the problems by themselves n blame the customer afterwards . I am really disappointed by their service.

I got renewed my insurance from maruti at naraina, delhi. I am disappointed with their behaviour and services.
After accident of my Maruti swift I repaired it in Maruti's authorised service centre, i.e. Sharma auto mobile, Manendragarh in the month of Jan-2011. the owner of the service centre assured me that your claim will be settled in the month of Feb-2011 through NAtional Insurance, bilaspur as I got my car insured from Maruti National Insurance. My friend Mr. Paritosh Dey bought a Maruti Alto bearing regn no WB 70A 5017 and it was insured by Maruti insurance. The policy was issued by National Insurance. Policy no 1552602. Atleast 2 months ago final police report for theft claim has been submitted at Cooachbehar Office of national Insurance but till date the cliam is pending. The ground that they are showing is -------- system out of order.

National Insurance Company Pvt ltd — Non Payment of the Insurance calim.

                                        Hi Ramesh/Shavasubramanian,

I have multiple queries, and I need a prompt response regarding the same.

                                        Query 1:

I had the Insurance policy from national insurance company (Policy number : 604400/31/08/[protected], owner: Himanshu Gaur).
I had submitted the claim for my Car(Santro GLS , KA01 , ME 3019) , and it had got approved in the month of Nov, 2009. I have not received the cheque till date. I had tried hard reaching you guys, by calling all the mentioned number, and talking in person to Mr. Ramesh and Mr. Dm (Bangalore office) but nothing had happened.

I am really pissed off with the services offered to the customers, and why the hell are the customers being asked to run for their valued money. I am planning to lodge the complaint to the consumer forum, and this should be considered as the final intimation for the same. I had been told the Draft/cheque had been set to my address (Cheque number : 661914, dated : 18th jan, Vijaya bank), but I never received the same. Please look into the issue, and resolve it ASAP, and please guide the concerned person to be more reasonable with the customers, and understand their pain in handling the issues.

                                        Query 2:

I had submitted another claim on the date 20th Dec 2009, which got rejected in the name of calling it OLD DAMAGE. I want to understand, what was the old damage in that, as the Car was bought new and it was first insured by national insurance company only. Since it was brand new, what makes it qualify in the Old category. I am really pissed off with the service offered by the company and considering the consumer forum option, to bring the concerned people to the books, since they are really not much affected with customer pain and amend the policies to suit their benefits. I am afraid if they want money to speed up the process, as I don’t believe in wrong ways to get the things done.

Consider this mail as the final intimation, if the things are not sorted out in 3 days.

                                        -Himanshu
