Sub: Replacement of Nokia mobile handset

1. This is to inform that I purchased one Nokia mobile handset having the following details:

2. Soon after the purchase of this set, I am having repeated problems. The battery gets discharged within 30 mins and there is no radio function.
a.The set was shown to the dealer during the guarantee period and as per his advice, it was shown to the Nokia Care Centre (Rourkela). They confirmed that it is a hardware defect and a particular software is to be loaded. Accordingly, the set was given to them and it was returned by them after one week confirming that the defect has been rectified. The details of the repair is available on the Nokia database.
b. The set worked alright for a week without radio function and again started giving trouble. It was shown again to the Nokia Care Centre who informed that the total hardware is to be replaced and since by the time guarantee was over, it will be on chargeable basis.
3. It is worthwhile to mention that I purchased this set knowing that it is one of the premium model of Nokia. However, it was my bad luck that I was given a defective set by the dealer.
4. The phone that I had brought was defective right from the beginning and there was no mishandling from my side.
5. I shall be grateful if you can look into the matter and send me a new mobile set in place of the above. If confirmed, I will send the defective set to you for your reference as it is of no use to me.
