I wanted to purchase nikon d5600 camera from olx, seller sent me pics of dslr, also his aadhar card and a bill which all appear to be fake.

The deal agreed on rs. 14, 000 for which i needed to send rs. 1000 in advance. Next day courier guy calls me and tells me that seller has sent with an insurance and you need to pay rs. 7, 120 as insurance amount then only we can hand you over the parcel, we contacted the seller and told him about the insurance and he forced us to pay the insurance amount and we paid, also he asked to pay balance payment or else the product couldn't be delivered.

I have the phone number and all the recordings.

Transfer rs. 640 first and then balance amount through paytm linked bank
Account of mine. 640 rs was debited first time from my sbi account but
The second time it bounced back due to an insufficient amount in my paytm. So i lost the first 640 rs. Kindly book these people who are many. One is sanjay kumar - [protected] and other one is anonoumous - [protected]. They used absuive language when i resisted the second time. I have all the audio recordings with me. I have also complained to cyber cell (Acknowledgement number : [protected]) and paytm people.

He want to sell is dio bike he told us send few money and is telling that is army officer sended some phothos in that photo america and indian army was ther and he send is name was mohammed natio pasha

This is ramesh babu from visakhapatnam. I am getting wrong calls and fake calls from olx some of the guys using my phone number and place in olx asking for bikes and scooters and everything please take immediate action on this thing. From last 4 months, i got 10-25 calls like this. If you won't respond. I will go with legal procedure to police station.

He assured to deliver at my address at sukhna guest house chandigarh, sec 35b.
He called 1000 rs for booking this.
I transferred 1000 rs on phone pay on mobile no.[protected] (Jitendra sain) on 23 august.
Today when i called abt delevery, the courier man said u hv to pay half amount 5000/- in advance.
And they did not refund my 1000 even.
I have full detail of whtsapp msg, and paymnt pic.
Plz look into, bcz they will harm to any other persn also,

As i have posted add of my computer monitor one customer called me and from google pay he has taken my money 2000 rs, he sent me some qr codes and said me to scan so that i will get 2000 rs in my account, but i got debitted from my account, this was happend by useing g.pay. Now again he is saying paytm account with full kyc documents and he will return back my 2000 rs.

We registered on olx to sell my beats pill+ speaker and we got request from this person so we called him and he said i am sending the payment to you so sent the upi qr code and he said scan this and money will be credited to your account. So, initially we were reluctant so we did a test for rs2 on my husband’s account and he got it and he became certain that it’s genuine. Then my husband took my google pay linked to icici bank account and we scanned to qr code and 12000 rs got debited from icici account to fraudster account. Then we asked him to refund it first so that we can close the olx deal so we asked him to transfer 24000 rs but he keep on insisting to scan another qr code but we did not do it. We called multiple times but he never responded and even we said we will register police complaint so he said do whatever u want.
So, i raised a complaint on icici customer care and they have blocked my account and debit card. We got this message from bank

Dear customer, we have registered your dispute for amt debited from your acct. Request no. Is sr[protected] dated 26-aug-20. We shall call you in 15 days for details.

Why olx team is not authenticating users? And we are becoming fraud victims and today i am going to cyber crime branch to register this complaint and file an fir.

Please help me refund my money.

Dear Olx Team,

This is to inform your that I am a victim of Fraud on OLX platform. Today dated 26-Aug-20 I have uploaded an image of Washing machine on OLX at a price of 4, 000 having registered no. [protected] and have received acceptance and call from unknown person (Contact no. [protected]) (attached screenshot) who was calling from himself from Indian army and showed his Aadhar and Pancard details with name of MANJEET (attached) in which that person called and said he want to to purchase the item and said they have to do some advance payment on this and his bhabhi will come and collect the product from our home. He shared the phone pay QR code and done two times payment of Rs 10 & 50/- and money was first debited from my account and then credited to my account.
Thereafter, He shared a QR code of Rs 4, 000/- and said he don't have paytm and gpay or any details and asked the same for doing this and when I did the same my account was debited with 4, 000/- (attached transaction details) and than he said it was due to some error it was not credited back to my account. He was side by side creating pressure for us for doing the same and he was behaving badly in the name of Indian Army. He again given QR code of 3, 000/- (Attached screenshot) and said this will credited rightly so for the sake of getting our old payment and we have done the same and again our payment go debited with 3, 000/- so for getting money we have requested him again and again for paying back and he was refusing the same that in Indian camp we don't have facility for mobile and network.. And we have given or paytm details for the sake of getting that payment back and he was continuously asking for our Pancard no. and Aadhar card no. but we haven't given them the correct details.

It was really shock to see that a people are using OLX platform for doing frauds and losing all hard earned money by making fools in the name of Indian Army. That fraud person is also online on whatsapp whole day we have keep requested them for getting our money back till 8 pm but still they were using abusing languages in discussion.. We were trapped in there plan. That fraud person kept asking for ATM details, Driving License, paytm logins, pan card, aadhar card and we have refused the same somehow. Due to this my trust for OLX has been breached and for safety I have disheartened and it was a very bad experience from OLX. I would request you to kindly look into this so that it should not happen with any other and what kind of safety and privacy OLX is keeping for our personal details. Due to this bad experience my family, friend and relatives would never recommend OLX for any sale or purchase.

Even i have tried to call OLX on this no. [protected] it was disconnected many a times and when one person has received the call, without listening the query it was disconnected and unable to inform OLX on time. so that's why here i am writing an Email to you all the bad experiences that i have faced. It was full of regret feeling that remain in my heart for OLX.

Here I am attaching all relevant screenshots and chats details that will be helpful for you to investigate.the matter, I have also call recording of him. please help in this and refund my entire amount Rs 7, 000/- for such a bad experience Hope to get an immediate response on this.

Date 26/08/2020. A fraudster name "Alok Kumar Kar". Done a fraud of 1100 rupees while buying a Scooter activa 4g. He looted me by saying that he has send the scooty through Indian Army Postal Service and told me to give 1100as delivery charge and then a delivery womem called me and said that she is near my address and I have to give ruppes 5300 inorder to take my delivery . I need my money back.

Highly disappointed with OLX, got cheated of Rs.1599, as even after paying my ADVT didn't became FEATURED and OLX executive asking for additional amounts, Even OLX doesn't care to reply or resolve paid customer issues, as I tried calling on OLX Customer care no. & Even wrote email to them via OLX APP.
Hence left with no other option but to post my complaint here hoping to resolve it and get appropriate utilisation of money paid to them.

Details of my complaint is as follows:

Last month I registered my INNOVA 2.5V 2015 Model for sale at OLX and after my free Advt expired, I opted for as shown paid packages and choosen the highest package for single AD, for FEATURED AD and paid Rs.1599 by CREDIT CARD, but my ADVT was not Featured and still show EXPIRED and when i called OLX Customer care, he came out with new Policy which never came/show up while making payment and asked me to pay additional Rs.1000 to make my ADVT Live, after which I can use FEATURED AD for it and when I asked him that it's not mentioned and that they should either make my ADVT Featured as being unaware I mistakenly choose wrong package OR must refund my payment, to which he said he registered my complaint and I'll receive call within 24 hours, but it's more than 33 hours and nobody cared to call or resolve my issue, after which I wrote mail too to them through OLX APP but to no avail as OLX hardly care to respond or reply to it's customer.

It's my first time using OLX Paid service and it's worst experience.

Seems OLX only interested in customer money, without any customer service. I am Highly disappointed and suggest everyone to never use OLX PAID Services.

So please either make my ADVT FEATURED For which I paid the money OR Refund my payment as I won't be paying additional amounts.

Your prompt favorable reply with urgent attention would be appreciated.

We received an offer of rs. 4500 for selling our bosch washing machine. We were asked to scan the qr code that was sent so as to accept payment throught google pay. However, 18, 000 got deducted out of our bank account as fraud. When we did video call the person, he refused to show his face and accepted he is a fraud. I want you to refund the entire amount to me.

Today saw the add from olx website regarding buying a second hand scooter. There was a add today honda activa 2017 model, 7600km pricing of rupees 23500/-.they given a phone number of [protected]/ramesh. He answered, he said he is working in pallavaram army camp and he asked me transfer the amout of rupees 3150/- for vehicle shipment charges. Once the vehicle delivered to door step the amount 3000/- will be adjusted of the final price of 21000/- . On based on this they send the rc book copy, and indian army transport parcel department invoice as well. Then they called me to pay balance 18000/- to drop the vehicle in 30mts.(around 2pm today). After transfer of the amount of rupees 21150/- again they told me pay again 12250/-, that time only i came to know these fellows are playing around and they are fraudsters. Now they don’t want to return my money nor vehicle. Could you please take the necessary action at the earliest.

First of all i want to thank you fr keeping up good work. I am one of the olx user since the service has been launched.
Now the story begins of the fraudulent seller i met with on olx 2-3 days before. I was planning to buy nokia e71 handset as we know its a rare mobile now so i searched it on india level and came across a seller named subhamoy halder from kolkata (Ph. No. [protected]). He has posted an ad named as "nokia originals" pic attached. I messaged him and asked about the availability of phone and also asked about his contact details. He shared his whatspp number (On which he never received a call from my side or called from his side) and we had a chat. I requested him to share original pics of phone as the pics uploaded in ad on olx are internet copied. At the very first instance he has shared a message mentioning his account details for money transfer, though i have not asked but still he shared (Maybe to show himself a genuine seller). I requested him to deliver the product first so that i can check and transfer money later but upon reading this in message he got annoyed and abused me. He blamed me that i am a scammer and threatened me that he is going to report in police that i have asked his account details which i did not. His behaviors over messages was very upsetting. I immediately reported his chat on olx. I request you to take strict action against him so that the decorum remain unharmed.

Olx is very unprofessional. I had listed four products on sale respecting guidelines set by olx. And they’ve banned my number including my email address.

Someone has logged in my old account using my number and I want to delete that account he even used my email I'd also for logging in please help me i want to delete that account

I had posted an add on olx for Tv Table. This person called me and identified himself as army personnel with adhar card and ID proof. We settled for rs 3000 as payment. He called me after a couple of hours and told me that he wants to get it picked from someone else but would like to make a payment in advance over google pay. He sent me a request of rs 3000 on Google pay. I told him that it is asking me to pay rather than him paying the amount. He told me that it will first debit my account and then add double of that amount. I did not agree with it and told him that this is not possible. He said this is how it works and requested me to try it with rs 5 transaction and I agreed to it. Rs 5 got debited from I account and rs 10 got credited. Believing him, I accepted Rs 3000 transactions. My account got debited of rs 3000 but rs 3000 didn't get credit. Upon this, he said that there is some error in the swipe machine from which we are doing. He said he is sorry. So asked me to do again with rs 9999 as code for receiving 3000 my money and 3000 payment. Then 2 times 13000 and 9867 rs. so I can get my money back but the again same thing happened and I got duped of approx. Rs 48886. For which he said that you have to click pay and receive option code for two times. Then this person told me that he will refund my full money in my debit card through the swipe machine and asked told him to transfer the money in my account which he didn't do. This went on for a couple of hours and the same repeated for 7000 rs, I did 7000 transaction with my 2nd account. Total -3000+ 9999+ 13000+13000+9867+ 7000 = 55886 got debited.

I told this person to send my money in my bank account which he said he cannot do. He keeps insisting that its an army camp and only method he can transfer money is through swipe machine into Google pay / Paytm etc.

later I said my account is having less than 50 rs I cannot transfer then he is said me to transfer the amount from any parents account so that your money will be get credited which I didn't do, One of my friends called that Fraud person stating that he is police then Immediately call has been Disconnected and the phone had been switched off. He called me from [protected] phone no and his name is Ravi Kumar Prajapat.

Hi team, I have received this sale offer in olx with Olx Profile name Deepak Singh (with mobile no. [protected]) for 2018 model of TVS NTORQ at Rs.30, 000 on 22nd Aug 2020. The person told be that he is from indian army and wants to sell this new scooty because he recently purchased Bullate bike and wants to pay after selling this scooty. Once the deal was finalised at 30, 000 i paid him Rs.3150 as advance payment in account of name with Ratiram,...

Maine olx pe mobile ki ad dekhi usme 19000 (Approx) ka mobile second hand 8500 me mill raha tha, maine olx pe usse message kiya usse puri baat tay ho gayi fir pehle parcel ke paise dalne ko kaha pehle (590) fir mobile milne par baki payment dalne ko kaha usme mujhe mobile ka bil dikhaya... Par mujhe thoda shak hua isliye mai pehle rs100 dale phir usne slip whatsapp kiya wo indian army parcel service jaisa tha fir 6 hours k baad maine 490 transfer kiya fir agale din mobile delivery hone vala tha tab usne rs8000 transfer karne ko mai samaj gaya ye fraud hai aur maine ye post isi liye dala k koi or is chakkar me na fase or government is aadmi par action le.
