Worst hotel experience, I booked AC room on 10th july 2021 from oyo app and on check in I was denied check in, first the receptionist said they didn't have any rooms available and offered to give a non AC room. Oyo customer number kept me on waiting call list and dropped every 15min this kept on for almost an hour. The hotel owner asked me for additional 1000/- rs for AC room saying that the amount mentioned on the site is too less to offer me the AC room. I said it is cheating and had an argument with the owner as I already prepaid the OYO, I complained on OYO bot chat room and after another half an hour the owner came and now he asked for an RT-PCR report which I didn't have as mostly i had double vaccinated and as far as I have crosschecked no other hotels were asking for it and it is a new tactics of misusing government covid guidelines to earn some more cash from tired customers,
why does not OYO notify about RT-PCR report mandatory requirement at the time of booking, now both OYO and hotel owner are hand in hand cheating they neither facilitated me in check in nor refunded my money. After all this harassment happened finally OYO customer center manager called me to inform in british accent that they can not do anything in this regard and they will not refund my money back.
It was too late to search for another hotel so I requested the hotel owner to take extra money and arrange a room so that I can just end the horrible night, he was more than delighted to offer his torture room which had mosquitoes, washroom with no flush working, AC window open allowing humidity and mosquitoes to get in, washroom lock (no locking arrangement), worst bed. Anyways I think it is a day to day affairs of this hotelier to harass OYO customer at an extent that they finally agree to accept anything that is offered in the name customer satisfaction and I will blame 100% OYO for this for their nature of business and hand in hand with the crooks and hotel kabals who terrorizes travelers like us.
I request strong action against OYO because by trusting a brand we reach to hotel crooks or mafia who loots us and terrorizes us and we are at mercy of these crooks. OYO doesn't take any responsibility after a prepaid payment that is actually 100% payment in advance is made through online booking app.
