I had purchased an ifb elite plus sx 7.5kg washing machine from paytm portal on 06/10/2017 paid by netbanking. The product was supposed to be delivered on 17/10/2017 but it was delayed to 21/10/17 evening (Which was saturday). We called the ifb center for installation but since it was a weekend they came on monday evening. However there was no socket of 16 amps so told us to install that and call back. Since those were diwali days it was difficult to get an electrician in our village but we managed to get it done by wednesday. We contacted the ifb center again for redemo and installation. However when this time the machine was opened it was noticed that there was a joint holding the top cover to the backside of the machine was broken, which a technician only could have noticed while installing and not a common man. I know that i was informing this after 7 days to the paytm, but the machine was delivered on weekend (Off days so 2 days wasted), 4 days went in attending the ifb technician and 2 days in installation of socket. So i kindly requested for replacement of the top cover (Roof). The machine otherwise is working. All other online portals gives atleast 15 days for replacement as in such appliances third party service is also involved in installation on whom we don't have control. However my request was not entertained. Paytm has poor customer service. Paid helpline number which charged me 20 rupees per call, no reply to emails. By rules i am at fault but rules are pathetic (Just 7 days in country like india when things go so slow especially in rural areas) but i request paytm to extend this warranty period for atleast those appliance which require third party for installation so that no one suffer like me.
