My order ID is 12286330. I had ordered a portable Laptop Stand from rediff shopping
and received a broken product. I was immediately not available to open the product as I was out of station. I found that the product is broken when I opened it on the 3rd day of receiving it. Now Rediff
is claiming that it's policy requires one to complain within 48hrs. I don't know how the time period is important here as it was their responsibility to check the product which is quite expensive before sending it. Moreover, the vendor Shopper52 has written that it has a 1 year warranty against manufacturing defects but when I called them up they kept saying 'If Rediff
does not register your complaint, what can we do?' They also denied receiving any complaint from me when I have been complaining almost everyday since then through mails and phone calls. In fact Rediff
also picked up a call and said they will solve the problem in a day but that was obviously a lie. Customer satisfaction, my foot!This is the first time I have had such a horrible experience while shopping online. I don't even know how such irresponsible vendors and online sites are allowed to exist! Now I have a product which is around 700 bucks and it is completely unusable.
I am providing the details of the vendor below who could have easily taken up the initiative to exchange the damn thing if they wanted to. People need to be aware of such cheaters.
