Dear Madam/Sir,
I could not find any medium on Reebok India website (http://www.reebok.com/IN/) to bring this to Reebok's notice hence I'm writing this to you.
I have been a loyal customer of Reebok since past 12 years. It is understandable that International brand that offer a wide variety of products would occasionally come across a faulty piece of merchandise. Something similar happened to me recently.
I purchased a pair of Reebok shoes (Model No.: R773926) for INR 3219.00 from authorized Reebok Store, EMDEE Apparels Private Limited, No. 423, 27th Main, First Sector, HSR Layout, Bangalore, INDIA having TIN No. [protected] on 4th July 2010 at 20:19 hrs.
On 6th July 2010, the first day when I used my shoes, by the evening the right-leg shoe was torn apart due to a manufacturing defect. I immediately went back to the same Reebok store and reported this to the store representative Mr. Rehan. He asked me to return the shoes back to him so that he can send the shoes for claim. Since I was wearing the shoes and had no other footwear, Mr. Rehan asked me to visit his store again the next day at 10:00hrs which was difficult for me since I had to report to my work at 9:00hrs and it is not easy to take time off from my work and come to the Reebok store to return the shoes on working days.
Hence, to avoid a travel the next day to Reebok store, I decided to hand over the shoes to Mr. Rehan the same time and purchase a pair of Reebok slippers so that I can drive back home. On 7th July 2010, I was eagerly waiting for Mr. Rehan's phone call but he was not courteous enough to report to me about the proceedings. Hence I had to call him when he told me that company has accepted the shoes and I can visit the Reebok store and take another pair of Reebok Shoes. Knowing this, I had to again drive down to the Reebok store but I did not like any other shoes which I could purchase. Finally I spoke to Mr. Rehan and asked him to refund my money back. But Mr. Rehan said that in any circumstances, he will not be able to refund my money.
Looking at this behavior of Reebok representative and the troubles I faced with my purchase this time, I am really disappointed to know how much harassment I faced during this time.
Currently the situation is that the Reebok Store has my money with them, they have my defective pair of shoes with them and I only have the purchase invoice with me.
I have lost hopes in the quality of service offered by Reebok in India and if this will continue, I think that I may never return back to Reebok products ever.
I request you to kindly look into this matter and help me out.
