my electricity meter becomes faulty. my an average per month consumption is 250 to 275 units but now my usage is remain same and meter shows the units double i.e. 500 to 600 units per month. but their technicians never come to my home for checking the meter.

meri sarkar se request hain ke reliance ka license cancelled karwake mseb ko handover karein taki sahi sahi bill aye.

    Hi our Reliance Energy Account No.[protected] since two month we found our reliance energy bill is increasing earlier it was around INR 8000/- now its in the m/o Sept.[protected]/- & M/o Oct.2010 - INR 12400/ which we found increasing every month rather our uses are same because its a office we don't use extra electricity appliances which we are using since we using earlier then why the bill is increasing frequently we did complaint on 30303030 & the answer was not satisfactory they only tell us the reson o[censored]ses differences which is not sufficient... Kindly attend this complaint asap

      Excess eletric bill

      Sir/ Madam, I reside at 15/942, lotus colony, govandi, Mumbai. I was shocked to see my this months bill which is ₹ 10, 420. Generally we receive bill of approx ₹[protected] but this time it is exceptional. So I request you to please take some necessary action against the service provider.

        This is to bring to your notice that i got a shock to see my electricity bill amount, all these years i used to pay around Rs1500-Rs1600 pm, but the bill for oct is Rs 3600/- i did call the customer care but they are not ready to help, my usage of the electricity is the same, and i am not sure how come the amount is almost doubled. i am really disappointed with this... wish someone could help me out.

          Sub- highly over billed

          We used to get highly over billed charges by the reliance energy hence we decided to change tata power . But still our last bill before changing was billed so high that if v see the history of our consumption it has never been near the units billed in the last bill.

          We lodged the complain throug email to them but the email id on the bill was wrong and no email could be sent to it , then we asked for the email thru their consumer care then also no email could be sent .

          Then we sent an hard copy of the complaint, they gave us their acknowledgement on it . But still no action was taken on thier part to right the bill .

          Mean while continuous harresment by phone callls n their ill behaved staff has been goin on .

          Highly unjust and unethical company .

          I have check my bill every month and the bill amount is below Rs. 800/-, but since 2 months my bill amount is occuring nearly Rs. 1500/-. And I dont have AC at home and since 4 months I am not using the geyser too due to which the bill amount will rise. Plz. guide me and accept my part payment of Rs. 1200/- against my bill of Oct-10. Rs. 4, 420/- which I will be paying by tomorrow and balance amount also I will be paying in part every month, so plz. tell your men that not disconnect my electric supply.

            We have power failures in our building twice in a fortnight. One phase o[censored]nder ground cable was declared faulty and Reliance men provided supply through temporary overhead flexible wire along with two phases of main cable. Second time after approx. 12 days time, second phase too failed and again they provided supply by laying one more flexible over head wire (not cable).

            With third phase which can also fail, we will have supply through three flexible wires to our building. Reliance men were requested for providing power through underground permanent cable and complaints were too lodged. So far after 20 days time, there are no actions taken.

              this is regards to the high amount of reliance energy bill has sended us on 16th June 2010 as we were not in towns for 15 days and no one was their in our house and never we have received so much amount of bill in last 2years this time the amount is 6850/- and that nobody was staying for last 15days our account number is[protected] i want you people to send us the correct bill by checking the correct meter otherwise we are ready to take a strict against it please look in to this matter at the earliest .

              RELIANCE ENERGY-BSES — INCREASE LIGHT BILLS

              Dear sir,


              Subject:-Regarding high payment of light bills (received last 19months)


              I, hereby Mr. Gopal Parshuram Patil, my A/c No.[protected], staying at Kannamwar Nagar vikhroli (E), Mumbai -4000 83, would like to lodge a complaint, about /received high payment of light bills, last 19 months & I have been regularly paid these bills. but whence I have seen my neighbours light bills (Who have more Electronic Instrument / Appliance than us, & power consumption is also high-Even they wonder to see our bill payment record ) & last four/five years we are using same Electronic Appliance/ goods.
              Why meter is showing more units in every bill- compare to our neighbour, our bills are almost double, Does the meter running fast or any other problem?
              I would like to clear all these/above queries, because I couldn’t afford that much of high payment bills & we are from middle class society, so we don’t have Luxurious Electronic Appliance at home.
              So please do the needful & as soon as possible to clear my queries & send your person to inspect the meter, whereby we clear all our queries.

              I have been receiving electricity bills in the range of Rs. 300 to 400/- in the past. But suddenly the bill for last two month has come for 680 to 1100/-
              This has been the case of only for me in my locality.

              This is very much on the higher side and it is unjustified. the normal consumer is paying for the inefficiency of the governement.

              Request the Reliance Energy company to revert the excess billing and not to harrass the consumers.

                I saw the meter box yesterday which was fully open wired which will cause an accident in future.

                  After Complaint Services are very poor. We have been complaining since last 3 days that we are not getting continuous supply. The linesmen come and do some temporary work which last for not more than 10-15 mins. Again, we have to call at their call centre and get a new complaint no. - The reason they say that they had restored the services, "even if it lasts for 10-15 mins....for them the status is restored". This is TERRIBLE.....I never expected this thing from such an old and reliable company.....Reliance will have to work on their services to attend the complaints; else the day is not so far when they will have to wind up their entire network and have to be replaced by someone else.

                    1. Reliance Energy has failed to provide proper service on both the occasions: a) On the first occasion when the Electricity Bill showed "zero" reading; and b) On the second occasion when the Electricity Bill showed high, arbitary and unconscionable reading in the range of Rs 1240- Rs 1800/-;
                    2. Reliance Energy has been highly unprofessional in sending me routine letter which state “No defects in the connection or the functioning of the meters have been observed. The meter readings are accurate and the bills have been generated accordingly”. It is shocking to receive such letter which contradicts the facts. Reliance Energy letter was drafted as a matter of routine and without applying mind. My letter stated “zero meter reading” and their reply stated “no defects were seen in the meter”. If there were no defects in Electricity Meter No. ********2 then please explain the reason for taking away the said Electricity Meter No. 8171922 and installing another tampered electric meter no. ********4;
                    3. Reliance Energy routine letter only confirms that they have been getting high meter reading complaints by thousands from different customers and they have been sending out such standard letters daily.
                    4. Instead of appreciating my honest effort of bringing to your notice that I have been charged “zero” amount, Reliance Energy have, on the contrary sent me some contradictory letter and above all hiked the charges which are not and cannot be true;
                    5. IT IS SHOCKING THAT EITHER THE BILLS HAVE BEEN “ZERO” OR “VERY HIGH” BUT NOT CORRECT. RELIANCE ENERGY SHOULD EXPLAIN REASON FOR THE SAME;
                    6. . THERE HAS BEEN DEFICIENCY OF SERVICE AND UNFAIR BUSINESS PRACTICE ON PART OF RELIANCE ENERGY

                      I leased an apartment 1.5 years ago at NG Suncitgy, Phase!, 2D, apartment 303/304, thakur village, kandivali east, mumbai 400101

                      From the start my Electricity bill was wrong.

                      1. consumption too high for the small load
                      2. bills continue to include "arrears" when there are none
                      3. billing calculations wrong, higher bill for lower consumption compared to a previous month when consumption was higher but bill was lower.
                      4. after repeated complaints meter was fixed after 12 months and the bill dropped to 30% of the past.

                      Reliance officials have refused to take any proper remedial action instead threatening to cut my electricity or convert my billing to commercial because i use a number of computers - i am an internationally and nationally recognized computer professional and this is my justified requirement.

                      each department of Reliance Energy claims to be unaware of what is happening in the other and complaints are NOT attended to by any senior officer, most of whom are impossible to meet as thjey are never in their chair.

                        My relative Mr. mahadev sawant is bonafide customer of relaince energy her A/C No.[protected] meter No.5603093 and he use his loft for garments pakage for period of march 2009 to dec 2009.
                        Reilance vigilaence inspector visit to house and give report to company and they sent notice to pay Rs.108272.71/- But we visit concern office 4 date and we agrre to pay less rei use unit . They agree to less resi unit .
                        Concern officer Mr. avinash ubale say that you pay 4152/- units at commercial rate rs.41738/- but we say that we pay this units in resi rate which not counted by you.
                        After that we ask him for internal consumer cell, manch, and lokal add.and appl. form as per our right.they dont reply about this matter.

                        As previously they use to be 600-700 but now they are[protected].
                        I just wanted to know the reason behind this sudden increase in bill.
                        And being from a middle-class family i cannot afford such high bills.

                          espected sir,
                          i ragini patil having account no[protected] is a regular customer of reliance energy has faced mental and financial stress because of the employee's who are not working properly
                          in september 2009 month because of reliance energy improper functioning manner i received a bill of RUPEES 30,412 and i used to get 25.-300 per month which i used to pay on time but seeing such a big amount in my bill i was shocked thousands of question flooded in my mind, i got mental stress very much i was thinking how come i get so much bill.........
                          at start i was not able to think anything then i thought how is it possible i dont even use so much energy in my store
                          Atlast i went to the reliance energy company's office situated in TILAK NAGAR in that office consumer help desk i tried to fine information regarding so much bill, but in a very HARSH and IMPOLITE manner the three employees of reliance energy answered me, they were in no mood to understand and solve my problem. THIS is the way how the help desk employee of reliance energy behave with the consumers, THEY just told me that "YOU HAVE USED THE ENERGY BEFORE AND THIS THE PENDING AMOUNT, SO TO PAY THIS AMOUNT IS VERY MUCH IMPORTANT OR ELSE WE WILL CUT YOUR ENERGY SUPPLY".
                          After thinking for few days i recalled few years back there was one more store in my neighborhood which was demolished few year back, after taking a lot of effort at last i found the details "The store next to me was "kamla stores" and it was owned by a muslim man name "ABDUL RAHIM MAUNHI" having ACCOUNT NO[protected] AND CONSUMER NO[protected] so i thought may be it has got something to do with my bill so i managed to get a duplicate copy of the bill and it had PENDING BILL AMOUNT OF RUPEES 30,117.
                          the amount of rupees 30,117 /- which the reliance energy was not able to recover from the owner of kamla store having account no[protected], so the reliance energy forcefully added this bill amount in my bill and created pressure on me to pay the amount
                          I questioned the respected officers of reliance energy about this matter but the officer gave me a deaf ear and in a harsh manner they told me "THIS THE WAY OUR COMPANY FUNCTIONS AND RECOVER THE PENDING BILL AMOUNT AND YOU DONT ASK MUCH QUESTION AND THINK ABOUT THIS AND PAY THE BILL AMOUNT OF RUPEES 30,412 AS SOON AS POSSIBLE OR ELSE YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS AND WE WILL DISCONTINUE YOUR RELIANCE ENERGY CURRENT".
                          when the reliance energy failed to recover the bill amount from one user they forced the bill amount into other consumers bill who are regular payer of the bill and created such kind of pressure on the consumer to pay it I SAY IS THIS RIGHT WAY?
                          ACCORDING TO THE ENERGY LAW 2003, IN NO ARTICLE IT IS WRITTEN THAT THE RELIANCE ENERGY CAN SHOW SUCH OWNERSHIP AND IN THIS UNMANNERLY WAY FORCE THE CONSUMER?
                          After that on 10th december,2009 a well mannered application i submitted to the company office. at that time SHRI SARANG PANDEY the officer made me pay rupees 300 bill and told the pending bill is not yours so there is no need to pay it, I WAS HAPPY THAT I HAD GOT JUSTICE, i immediately paid the bill in the center and felt relief because in this 1 to 2 month i had got very much mental stress and my husband and kids were also stressed because we are not that financially strong and my kids are taking education
                          but, not even 24 hours my happiness longed on 11th december,2009 the company's RECOVERY DEPARTMENT employee class "in the name of not paying the pending bill they disconnected the energy flow. i tried my level best to make the employee undersand that the bill amount is not mine and yesterday itself i went to tilak nagar and YOUR OFFICER mr. sarang pandey gave me a estimate amount of rupees 300 and i paid it , to prove it i showed the paid bill reciept also, BUT they told that what ever your question is there u better speak to MR. NERULKAR sir. we will do our work and atlast they disconnected the energy flow. i went to mr nerulkar(RECOVERY DEPT) immediately and told the entire matter, they agreed their mistake and told me that within 1hour the energy will be provided but they failed to keep their word and entire day n night we were in dark, and in night there is always a fear of robbers getting scared me and my husband were awake the entire night, and my kids were also tensed
                          THE AREA PEOPLE WERE LOOKING IN A VERY UNPOLITE MANNER AT US BECAUSE OF WHICH OUR RESPECT IN SOCIETY WAS DOWN NOT ONLY THAT MY KIDS FRIENDS WERE TEASING THEM THE ENTIRE DAY BECAUSE OF WHICH WE ALL WERE IN LOT OF MENTAL STRESS TILL NEXT DAY AFTERNOON, ATLAST ON 12/12/2009 THE DEPARTMENT PEOPLE STARTED THE ENERGY FLOW.
                          that moment i felt i had taken enough and now i am relieved but this company unorganized manner and corrupted and lazy employees again gave me a notice few days later in december 2009 of paying the balance amount or else the energy will be disconnected.
                          AFTER TOLERATING SO MUCH OF THE RELIANCE ENEGY I WAS QUITE BUT NOW I WAS NOT ABLE TO TAKE IT SO I AM GIVING THIS COMPLAINT APPLICATION TO ALL THE CONSUMER DEPARTMENT ON BEHALF OF ALL THE CONSUMERS
                          the company behave like kings and in a very bad manner this is my application against the company it is some what same like giving a monkey a light in hand and he starts burning the entire village the same way the company give mental stress to the people and give financial stress

                            Sir,

                            I had a flight booking at Indigo Airways on 24 jan 2010 under PNR H194LH from New Delhi to Imphal. The flight was to depart at 5:35am but due to fog it was deplayed. When I enquired the Indigo Customer care, I was informed that the flight was delayed till 8 AM.

                            Due to heavy fog i reach the airport at 7 AM and went to indigo counter for check in but they refuse to take my check in. They even refuse to refund as it is their airlines policy.

                            Sir it is not our problem, it was the nature's problem that disturb the schedule. If they can delay the flight due to fog then in the meantime there was commutation problem in the road too. Please look into the matter why indigo refuse to take the check in and why my money was not refund if the flight was in new delhi when i report to the counter.

                            Indigo Airlines has the worst Cargo Loaders!!

                            Flight from Guw to Mumbai dated 29/01/10 flight time dept 3:20 pm Arrival time 8:20pm. Evry time I fly with Indigo Airline there is damage in my baggage, and this is the second time they have broke ma briefcase..when i tried to tell the GSA of Indigo who was on the spot she just smiled and walk away this made me more furious. I had flown with many Airlines but had never faced such things.. Indigo workers are untrained and just so raw.
                            Please ignore this one. I think it was a mistake. My complain was for indigo Airways, not against the company mentioned above.

                                Dear all,

                                Last week i got a letter from reliance energy that my meter was faulty and was tampered. Two engineers visited my house and took signature from my mom saying her that it was just a routine checkup.After 1 week i get this letter/notice of Rs 72000 from Reliance asking us to pay this amount. this is so rediculous . can anybody please guide me how to address this issue.

                                  I have reliance electricity supply at my place. Unfortunately, we are facing power failure on a daily basis for the past 20 days for minimum 1-2 hours. The power failure occurs mainly at mid-night. The power comes back only after registering complaint with reliance CSR and after waiting more than 1 hour post registering complaint.

                                  I have registered several complaint with Reliance customer service but to my suprise we haven't received any feedback from them.

                                  I had discussion with reliance electric supervisor and he told me that the problem persist with FUSE failure. The cable is not capable enough to bear load spread across our colony. I am astonish that they are not taking any actions even after identifying the problem.

                                  Daily power failure from past 1week and that to at night time when people are trying to take rest from workload and heat in dis summer season...

                                  when given a call to reliance heipdesk daily gettng the same reply that the cables are burnt and the light wil be back after 2hrs..

                                  god only why during night time and that to from past 1 week reliance substation and wires have problem??

                                    I used to pay around Rs 100-150 for usage up to march09. from march 09 ahead reliance started charging me above Rs400 for same usage without any proper clarification . Even after complaining about this to officers they sent me the bill of Rs350

                                    I hope I will get justice here.
                                    I think Raj Thackeray is doing right job. Govt must have controls on Reliance energy.

                                    Reliance is the company which should not have its existence in this country, they value only money.
                                    Reliance is big manipulator, they are bribing politicians and other officials and taking away all the resources and hard eared money from every individual. They have bribed government to take away the electricity supply in Mumbai in crores. And from where did they get this money from? Yes, you are right, it’s from you. They will not pay these things from their pocket, they know your limitations and their power.

                                    It’s been a long people complaining about excess amount of bills coming in, but nobody wants to address this, because this was the whole plan when it came to Reliance.
                                    They are taking large sum of our money as a profit, which mean directly into their pocket. Our money is used against us in bribing and manipulating things and they are very good in this because they know you can do nothing, they have controlled over the system. They are ruling on us and we even didn’t know about this or some o[censored]s do not bother.

                                    They know we can’t live without Electricity, it’s our basic need. No doubt, politicians are part of it, they get their commissions and so they do not take any action. We as an individual can do nothing even if we try complaining to consumer court or anywhere else, it’s useless. Do you wonder sometime, if government is so powerful then why they don’t take actions against such things? You will get the answer. They will not take it because they are part of this, most o[censored]s are part of this. This is shameful and highly irresponsible.

                                    Last year they had low profits in other sectors, to compensate they have raise the bill amounts and this year they had made Rs. 100 Crore quarterly net profit in just electricity sector. Entire money goes into their pocket, portion of this money will be utilize in other similar things.

                                    We have to understand our responsibility as a human being and alert everyone, it’s not against any one company or an individual, it’s against all such social elements who try to play and lead other individual’s life, an innocent human been.

                                    Open your mind and think for a while before reaching any conclusion. Do not believe any one blindly, you have to use your brain and try to analyze how system works and then play your role. Don’t allow other to lead your life and play around, you have to always remember, that you are human being, you’re life has value.

                                      I am paying a bill of approx. Rs.2500 which is way above my usage.
                                      I compared my usage with couple of flats in the same bldg. they get a bill of Rs.1400 - Rs.1500 having higher usage compared to my usage.
                                      Customer care is total nonsense, 1 will say there is a problem with meter and sends some guy, he will in turn say that its not his dept he will send someone else to change it, after a weeks time someone will turn up and say meter is out of stock will come back after 2 - 3 weeks and say actually there is no problem with meter.
                                      Privatisation was supposed to be for better service and good value for money but this is turning out worst then anyone could have imagined.

                                      Relaince is poor in customer service and good in collecting money actually wrongly charged money.

                                        There has been a lot of commotion lately relating to excessively high electricity bills received by Reliance energy consumers however nothing seems to have concluded so far as the consumers are still being overcharged to an unbelievable extent.

                                        Our average monthly electricity of my apartment used to be in the range of 1300 to 1800 rupees, until reliance decided to change our electricity meter in June09. Ever since the electricity bill has shot up to horribly high figure of Rs 5900/- per month. Despite non usage of A/C in the monsoon month, the figure is still close to 3000/-. Reliance complaint office is not ready to take the complaint as they believe there is nothing wrong or unusual with this sudden rise in billing amount immediately after the meter renewal.

                                        There are thousands of complaints registered in Mumbai regarding this matter through various channels or medium, but so far no one seems to taken a note of this. Even our over active media who usually does not miss an opportunity to cover even irrelevant remarks by celebrities or minister, does not find it to be an issue worth giving coverage on their news channels, which ascertains Reliance influence / pressure on the media / press.

                                        Unfortunately electricity being such an essential necessity cannot be lived without, and under the circumstances the charges imposed cannot be afforded. Deferring the payment of electricity bills hoping to receive corrected charges, results in receipt of warning letter from Reliance threatening disconnection of power. We all are waiting for some commanding organization to take up this issue and support the average helpless public.

                                        Unfortunately we have no choice but to use Reliance energy as our electricity provider, but otherwise we have decided to boycott all other reliance products in future as our faith in Reliance as an institution has shattered. I hope many more will follow the suit soon. After they stripped the govt with reliance communication cam, its the normal public they are aiming at)

                                        Reliance Energy - Mumbai — unbelievably high monthly electricity bill

                                        hi this is nitin, i reside in kandivali west, mahavir nagar, mumbai. This is to express my frustration towards the high monthly electricity bill being sent to us from reliance energy, since the time reliance energy has taken over the electricity supply the bills have been enormously high & being a middle class family it gets really difficult to meet the expences towards paying these high bills.there should be a way out to tackle this issue as its worsening by the day...
