This is with regards to this company which has broken all laws of KYC. First their CSE's have no knowledge of KYC norms and are rude as i spoke to one Mr. Tameem, who has no knowledge and is rude as well.

Secondly for the past 3 to 4 months i am getting high bills and nothing has been resolved. I have told their technecian to check the meter, he comes and inspects the house and doesn't haev the courtesy to come up and give a report about the meter. He just walks away from down.

I get a call from their call center and i again give a complaint, upon which they tell me that they would send a report on my email id as well as residence, but i am still waiting for the same.

We are being harrased by these companies and they dont revert back, Others in my building get half the amount as their bill which i get, and they use their appliances to the fullest. I dont have any appliances in my house except fans, tube lights, refregitator.

    our electricity keeps going... i live on the 7th floor and i have an ailing aged person living in the house. we are absolutely disgusted with their services.

    Hi,

    We are totally disgusted with Reliance Energy Service. It works like a sick unit.

    We intend to file a consumer compliant in the consumer court against Reliance Energy for its inefficient and disgusting treatment to customers and service.

    Our history goes here;

    1.Thrice they have disconnected our power before the due date and there has never been an explanation or prior information to that
    2. There is no rule on the bill which states that REL has the right to disconnect power 5 days prior to bill due date
    4. The third time the power was disconnected on a saturday and the meter was also taken away which is sheer humiliation and robbery as the owners of the meter were not present in the house. There was no prior information of electricity disconnection (as usual)
    Moreover, when contacted the customer care office, it is more like customer harassment office as they gave us mental torture by telling us they cant sen anybody as its a sunday and we need to go the zonal office.
    I have three questions here;
    1. Our bill was paid and your systems were not updated, whose fault is it?
    2. Where is the rule written that 5 days prior to bill due date the power will be disconnected?
    3. Why are the customer care not helping and torturing customers/ You should change the name of customer helpline to customer harassment line as since morning i have spoken to Nikita, sunil, shamita and some entire call centre office but noone has the authority to help customers.

    I think REL has no accountability to the customers and they should be put to task for such a negligent behavior. Moreover, i plan to file a customer compliant in the court for not informing before power disconnection and mental and physical harrassment and also file an FIR for stealing our meter in our absence.

    I would appreciate if the VP - Customer service can look into this and handle the legal notice that shall come from our side. This is no way to treat your customers, it is because o[censored]s that you are there and not the other way round. Please keep your systems updated. It is not our responsibility. You cant give us an excuse that it is third time disconnection hence you have to go to zonal office. I find this unacceptable as no sensible person will preempt that if the bill due date is 12th of some month, REL will disconnect the power 1 week in advance. Please show us where the rule is written as you all talk a lot about policies and processes on the phone. There is something called as humanity, intelligence and customer sensitivity which is totally absent in your case.

    my complaint this a/c already disconnect before two year because bill unpaid
    i am after total bill paid but not connect the meter & regular bill given
    i one time paid bill but also not use the meter, i request u close this my a/c & return by my deposit

      Reliance energy repalces electrical meter in 9 November 2008. They repalced electrical meter and after repalcing meter they informed us by letter, your meter replaced as our normal routine of replacement . Before we havent given any complaint regarding our electrical meter.

      After relacing electrical meter in nov. 2008 our electrical meter comsumption unit increased as doubled and our billing amount was Higher then normal . We havent used electricity for any type of function nither for addtional use. If we use that that will be for particular month and we will know that we used is electrity and we charged for same . But we havent . We havent added any electrical equipment or nor deleted . Even after our billing increased we started our equipment less use for power consumption cutting solution to use less power for billing.

      We Observed our billing cycle for 2- 3 months from December 2008. Aftyer 3-4 month observation we found this problem is continuing same. We given complaint in Reliance Toll free no. and after that in Dindoshi Reliance office. Representitive come from and visited and told us that we infrom to our office and Reliance Energy will Report u back . But no reverse solution for our electrical meter Fast reading problem.
      We given complaint on 11 may 2009 on toll free no. and our complaint number is [protected]. Second written Compalint we submettied at Reliance Dindoshi Branch at Goregoan Compalint NO. [protected] . Again we enquired at and on Reliace compalint and Genral no. 30303030 for our complaint they said u have to give written complaint at same place where was u given first. And when we enquire about our complaint we asked at Dindoshi office for Telephone no. They said u have to call on 30303030. So as our problem Reliance Enquary no. informing us to ask to Dindoshi Branch .And Dindoshi branch say's ask to Reliance no 303030.

      After that we given again 3 rd written complaint on 9 July, 2008 at Dindoshi Branch office Central Division Despatch Section. we are waiting for Complaint no. till today from 9 July.

      Please help us to solve our electrical fast meter reading billing and HIGHER BILL AMOUNT problem

      We have our all complant copy with us and Internet Complaint and thems answers.

      Please help us to reduce or replace our Fast electrical meter reading problem

        Its not my words only, its voice of All the consumers of RELIANCE ENERGY.
        I have seen all 32 Complaints on this forum, All is about Cheating and Fraud of Reliance Energy.

        But I am addressing this to all indians starting from the President of India, Prime Minister, and after that to the last new born of this minute in india.

        RELIANCE ENERGY / RELIANCE INFRASTRUCTURE LTD is a 21st centuries version of
        "EAST INDIA COMPANY" of british era in india, the same foot steps this company is following, first this company bought Politicians and after that they bought Beuraeucrates and Government Officials now they are doing whatever they want.

        Give me one customer of Reliance Energy who have got the justice even in court, even in consumer court wherever is the addressal department of complaints, NOT EVEN A SINGLE.

        No my friends we are in the net of Reliance Energy, they bought everyone.

        Only the REFERENDUM is the solution to get rid of from this CHOR AND BLUNDER COMPANY, all the consumers have to get together and demand from the central government for REFERENDUM on existence of Reliance Energy.

        I just want to share my prob.
        six months before me and my frnds join the software comp. in noida.
        the comp. has taken the security amt 60, 000 which is refundable after one yr.
        our seniors whom strength were nearly 40. also working and joined the comp. three months ago.
        But when the time of returning amt came the director of the compney ran away.
        the comp condition was no good since begining, we are not getting any salary as well.Then he (Director) said they will return the money of all and exp. certificates.
        Then at the date of 30 sep he not came, his phone also became switch off.
        plz help wt to do
        even he is not picking the phone.

        The complaint of this forgery is booked in sector 20 noida
        The director of the compnay is Dhananjay Tiwary.
        Plz help me as soon as possible.

          My Consumer #[protected]

          Since three months I am reciving extremely high electric bill from the "World's Honest Electric Supplying Company" which is " Reliance Energy Limited ".

          I have complained several times but there was no any response however this time when I recived the Bill Amount Rs: 6820.00 and belive me I was stunned by reciving such a huge amount of bill.

          This time when I was really upset and I lodge a complain they gave me a complain number #[protected], 2nd day on 3rd July, I recived an email saying that complain is attended and closed, however I didnt see anyody attended my meter from Reliance Energy.

          Unfortunately we are living in india where government sells everything if any one have guds to buy, the same happened here in this case, where Reliance Energy Bought the government and politicians and now Reliance is making huge money from helpless consumers of its territory.

          Now another thing when I ask an Reliance executive on phone is there any other government department where I can check my meter he says no, only Reliance peoples can check the meter.

          I am requesting to the President of India,
          Prime Minister of India,
          and Chief Minister of Maharashtra State,
          Please take initiative against Reliance Energy's unfair buiseness and cancell the contract of Reliance Energy, other wise it will take over like " EAST INDIA " Company have done in history.

          Please controll this, we are middle class peoples and cant afford this unfairness of Reliance energy.

            Dear Sir,

            This is Ajay Here. We live in bhayander (E)

            Recently we have been billed an amount of Rs.9090 by reliance energy. This is the first time we have received such a huge amount of bill. Earlier we use to get an approximate bill of Rs.[protected] but this summer the reliance energy has crossed the limit. We have been getting bill of more than 2500 every month this summer. But we were shocked when we got a bill of Rs. 9090 for the month of July.

            We have a single room with an area of 365 Sq. Ft. We do have an AC. Our AC usage is also limited. We use to switch on the AC at 11 Pm in the night and turn it off at 3:30 in the morning. Aprroximately 4 hrs a day.

            We have also made a complaint with the reliance energy ltd. but got no positive response. After the complaint the reliance energy sent us a letter mentioning that the meter is working fine and we have to pay the bill amount as per the generated bill

            I would request your goodself to kindly look into the matter and do the needful, I am not in the capacitry to pay such a huge bill amount. Your early action will be highly appreciated.

            Hi,
            I am paying huge amount of bill for the past two years. It is 2, 500 on an average which is way above our consumption. I compared this with others who are getting just[protected].
            The consumer care of reliance is saying my meter is ok and they could not do anything.

            I am paying a bill of approx. Rs.2500 which is way above my usage.
            I compared my usage with couple of flats in the same bldg. they get a bill of Rs.1400 - Rs.1500 having higher usage compared to my usage.
            Customer care is total nonsense, 1 will say there is a problem with meter and sends some guy, he will in turn say that its not his dept he will send someone else to change it, after a weeks time someone will turn up and say meter is out of stock will come back after 2 - 3 weeks and say actually there is no problem with meter.
            Privatisation was supposed to be for better service and good value for money but this is turning out worst then anyone could have imagined.
            Reliance Energy - Electricity

            Reliance is the company which should not have its existence in this country, they value only money.
            Reliance is big manipulator, they are bribing politicians and other officials and taking away all the resources and hard eared money from every individual. They have bribed government to take away the electricity supply in Mumbai in crores. And from where did they get this money from? Yes, you are right, it’s from you. They will not pay these things from their pocket, they know your limitations and their power.

            It’s been a long people complaining about excess amount of bills coming in, but nobody wants to address this, because this was the whole plan when it came to Reliance.
            They are taking large sum of our money as a profit, which mean directly into their pocket. Our money is used against us in bribing and manipulating things and they are very good in this because they know you can do nothing, they have controlled over the system. They are ruling on us and we even didn’t know about this or some o[censored]s do not bother.

            They know we can’t live without Electricity, it’s our basic need. No doubt, politicians are part of it, they get their commissions and so they do not take any action. We as an individual can do nothing even if we try complaining to consumer court or anywhere else, it’s useless. Do you wonder sometime, if government is so powerful then why they don’t take actions against such things? You will get the answer. They will not take it because they are part of this, most o[censored]s are part of this. This is shameful and highly irresponsible.

            Last year they had low profits in other sectors, to compensate they have raise the bill amounts and this year they had made Rs. 100 Crore quarterly net profit in just electricity sector. Entire money goes into their pocket, portion of this money will be utilize in other similar things.

            We have to understand our responsibility as a human being and alert everyone, it’s not against any one company or an individual, it’s against all such social elements who try to play and lead other individual’s life, an innocent human been.

            Open your mind and think for a while before reaching any conclusion. Do not believe any one blindly, you have to use your brain and try to analyze how system works and then play your role. Don’t allow other to lead your life and play around, you have to always remember, that you are human being, you’re life has value.

              Dear Sir / Madam,

              I am a commercial user of Reliance energy.

              My last bill payment date is 1st July 2009. And today on 1st July 2009, at 1pm. Reliance Energy people have taken away the Meter fuse without any notice or hearing.

              The bill was supposed to be paid by me today after lunch at around 2.30pm.

              Now I would like to know whether it is possible for Relaince Energy to take away the fuse of the meter WITHOUT ANY NOTICE, OR ANY WORD?

                Hi,
                I stay in Andheri (East) lasonth i have been changed 1100/- Rs. for which i made a complain and i sent my meter for lab testing also but nothing has been done and this month i have been charged 1500/- Rs. which is extremly high. me and my husband both work we hardly stay at home we dont have any high consumption electricity appliance at home but inspite of that bill has come too high. i complained costumer care 15-20 times but no action is taken yet. i want the concern ppl to take a action for it and resolve my query.

                  Every month our electricity bill goes on increasing for no bloody reason. Reliance is a total chor company and we feel there is a lot of manipulation happening on this end and we poor consumers are suffering. Based on this example, one should never ever support privatisation of govt services. Plus this disgusting security deposit thing!!! Why should we pay that despite paying always on time? if someone is defaulting, why dont they cut the connection rather than taking this extra money. I vote for choices to be given to consumers to choose between diff players in providing electricty the way we have for mobile services. Mr. Manmohan Singh should know that how innocent tax payers are being looted by such cheaters!!! Its so annoying to be a victim of such company? We never keep AC below 27 degrees, despite that the bill goes on increasing every month - it was 7000 this month for a 1 BHK house!!! May God never bless reliance company & its people. Whom can I approach for this Grievance??

                  I live in a 1 room kitchen and do use an AC quite a lot, but my bills are without a doubt inflated. They shot up from around 3.5 to 4 thousand to 8.5 and 9000 in the last month and current bill. As regards changing service providers - that is an option, I remember reading about it in the papers. As with everything in India however it's complicated and requires filling out some tedious forms or standing in lines. I really don't know for sure but you could look into it.

                  This crony capitalism is ruining the country. Mukesh and Anil Ambani are cheating teh country and will not be happy.
                  Mere Papa ka sapna duniya ka maal apna. I started beliving in Gandhi Ji's funda. Abstain from their services as far as you cnha. So I switched to Tata (always 1st choice if available), but am surprised with today's news that change over customers will have to pay extra for using their network. Wont they (Reliance Energy and erstwhile the BSES) have recovered the cost of the infrastructure from us by now? But whaqt to do sarkar bhi chor ke saath chor hai...What else can you expect from people from chorwad?

                    Reliance Energy i would like to bring into notice that for the last few weeks i have been receiving Bill details of CA no.[protected], recently received it with the complete amount for the previous month.my cell no. is [protected] n i m leaving in dombivli where we dont have subscription for reliance energy and i have not given any details for the same.i request to kindly look into the matter n try to solve it.
                    I too keep getting these messages on my mobile. I tried putting the CA # and get details of the bill address but it did not throw any results.

                      I have previously complained of extremely high electricity bill... My bills inspite of very low consumption come at ard[protected] per month.

                      I checked the meter aafter turning the mains of my house off... however the meter still keeps running... i have complained to reliance energy but my issues have not been addressed.

                      I got Rs.14000/- for last 3 months. whereas my regualar consumption gives me an average bill of 1200/- apro. With same consumption I get 700/- bill as well

                        CA No.[protected], March'09 462 units, April, 09 630 units, eventhough suffering from high bill since last two years, this time it is too much...!!! for 1BHKflat, having 4 tubelights, 3 fans, 2 bulbs, 1 tv, 1 friege, 1 geyser and 1 a/c.Usage is the same as it was.Complaint given on 25-04-09 and as usual, it was said that everything is O.K.                           I have a LF 2 Meter installed at my work shop of BSES company.but after reliance energy that meter wa changed without intimation & installed the new nonreliable & fast meter,
                          After asking the details the custemer care gives us reply that your old meter was faulty & was giving u wroung reading because the meter was jammed due to rust.
                          (I think that meter was made of brass metal for their inner parts.)
                          After comparision with previous bills we could come to the result that the meter whisc was insalled by reliance energy is fast & gives us exaggrated reading which results high bill.
                          Similarly Every month 200/- fixed charges is for what.Why it was not there at the time of BSES Company.

                          Since the month of April 2011, I have been receiving unreasonably high bills with huge unit jumps, the latest reading at 1864units consumed in one month!
                          My previous bills with the usual consumption never went over 300 - 400 units.
                          After calling the customer service, the local office claimed they sent someone to check it out but we weren't at home.No one called or informed us about the same.
                          Again after calling the customer service, and the local office, someone was sent on 15th of July 2011.
                          This morning the 19th of July 2011 I get a call from recovery stating the there is no fault and to clear my bill.
                          I will take this furthur up if necessary, as we are architects ourselves and know when an electric meter if faulty.
                          Kindly look into the matter now!!


                          Please help us as we are getting no help from Reliance Energy who is cheating us.

                            Before bses was taken over by reliance energy the maximum bill i had seen was 700 rs all of a sudden after change of meters the bill has never come below 3000 rs. i am being told its because i have air conditioner the bill is that high. i have paid bills upto 5000 rs a month. i am absolutely certain that my usage is not that high. i have had all my appliances checked and there is no problem with them. the funniest part is this month without using the air conditioner my bill is above 3000rs. despite of numerous complaints nothing has been done abt it.

                              01) No one comming to take meeter reding..because meeter box keys with us.and no one asking for open the box till today.

                              03) In my house two lights tubes, one t.v., one fan, and one refrezer. how is possible so much bill you are sending to us ?

                                Reliance Energy under ADAG has resortied to fleecing the consumers in every which way possible. The bill amounts have gone up by more than 100 % in the last one year. They have managed to obtain ruling from MERC to justify the higher charges.

                                Even charging overdue charges if the cheque is deposited in their collection boxes well before due date but cleared a day after the due date.

                                Hope steps are taken by various political parties, media, consumer forums and regulatory authorities to check unfair practices being followed by this company, just because they are in a position to dictate and poor consumers have nowhere to go.

                                Not to mention the corporate and accounting practices for their financial statements ...

                                  I have been receiving electricity bills in the range of Rs. 650-750/- in the past. But suddenly the bill for this month has come for Rs. 920/-

                                  This has been the case of all the consumers in my locality.

                                  This is very much on the higher side and it is unjustified. the normal consumer is paying for the inefficiency of the governement.

                                  Request the Reliance Energy company to revert the excess billing and not to harrass the consumers.

I use to get bill of Rs.450 to 500 and that too we both me and wife are whole day out in office accept sunday and there is no chance of getting bill of Rs. 970 to 1000+ I was zapped to see the bill of Rs.970 for the month of March'09. Reliance could you rectify this and send us the new bill and its not only me in our complex others too and my nieghbours also got similar amount bill with a rise of Rs.450 to 500 over the original bill. Its high time Reliance should act and rectify thier mistake.
                                  Relaince Group is a Fraud and all teh services related to consumer should be taken over by the Government Authority of some ethical Groups like Tata.
                                  Reliance is the most un-ethical company.
                                  Government needs serious attention...The basic billing was at Rs.250-300.00 now the basic billing has gone upto Rs.1250.00

                                  I am alos agree with you, that Electricity charges are very high, before some year back When BEST was incharge & at that time our Electricity bill was 450 or near but now for same consumption they are charging more then Rs.900 always sometime more then 1000.
                                  So, Goveronment has to do for this monopoly company.

                                  4 * tubelight(used only at the night time if needed)
                                  1 * tv
                                  2 * powersaving bulbs(the one which are similar to tubelights)
                                  1 * mixure
                                  1 * washing machine(which is used on alternate days)
                                  1 * computer (which is used around 3 hours a day)
                                  1 * vacumm cleaner(very rarely used i, e once in a week or two)

                                  I have got words from other consumers that u dont pay heed to the complaint lodged. I request you to please kindly pay attention to my letter.

                                  I was staying in Borivali area in 1Bhk . I had 1 Fridge 240 litres, 1 Tv., 3 Fans 3 tubelights and 1 washing machine.. No AC. The bill amount i was getting was not more than 350 Rs.
                                  Now I have shifted to Andheri Area with the same equipments and same size of house...The bill i am getting is around 650/-.

                                  I had given a complaint in Reliance energy and sent my meter for checking in their lab...The meter was faulty and they gave me some reimbursement. They have also put the new digital Meter..

                                  just look at the heads in the bill - fixed/demand charge, energycharge, reliability charge-standby charge, fuel adjustment charge, govt electricy duety, mah. govt tax on sale on electricity...to name a few

                                  I am Devisharan jaiswal my a/c no.[protected]/[protected] in both meter reading taken my co.is wrong.I n a/c no.[protected] bill of june 2013 meter reading showing in bill1243 unit, reading date 10/6/20113 but I was taken reading dated on 24/7/2013 3.45pm was1168 unit.And in a/cno.[protected] bill send me reading showing 1779 unit reading date10/6/2013, but dated on 24/7/2013 I was taken reading was1675 unit.
                                  So I request to adjust extra reading in my current month bill, I will not pay this bill.
