Dear Sir / Madam,

This is in reference to my subject policy no. that i had taken for my Honda City-ZXI car last year from Reliance General insurance Co. and paid the applicable premiun. Recently I received a letter dt. 05.07.10 on 25.07.10 (delivered through speed post on 22.07.10) from their office that is located in sector-18 Noida, stating therein that I have given an undertaking / declaration vide letter dt. 09.03.10 whereby i have declared that no claim has arisen in the expiring policy (ICICI Lombard, policy no. 3001/55118619/00/000) and hence on the basis of that they had offered me 20% discount on the existing policy.

However, it is pertinent to mention that i have not given any such declaration as alleged by them and the claim asserted by them in the aforesaid letter dt.05.7.10 is false and fictitious in order to malafidely cancel my policy. If they reject my policy on this wrongful and illegal basis then they should be asked to pay me back on prorata basis the premiun amount of policy. This act of theirs is untenable and unlawful. Infact, they have not even stated in their letter any applicable law or regulation under which they are entitled to cancel my policy,which they ideally should have.

Importantly, the letter was written on 05.07.10, posted on 22.07.10 and received on 25.07.10. In the letter they mentioned that in order to reinstate the policy under section 1 of the said policy, i had to send them a cheque of Rs. 2489 within15 days from the date of issuance of the letter i.e. 5.7.10. Since the letter was posted by them on 22.7.10 and received by me on 25.07.10, therefore, the time factor to renew, to even negotiate or communicate to them concerning the cancellation of policy lapsed automatically by virtue of late disposal of letter by them i.e. 22.7.10. This is totally unjustified and it clears out that they had all the wrongful intentions to cancel my policy and deny any future claims. Even at the time of taking the policy from them, i had not declared any false statements. If that is the case then they should bring out and show the true picture.'

My humble request is to seek your indulgence in the matter and direct them not to cancel my policy illegally which is contrary to law and regulations of IRDA.

    Dear who ever is receiving this email.
    Please find attached 2 pictures. One is the surveyor’s confirmation on articles approved by him for repairing of my car. My car is ready at service station from last 10 days. The DO received by the service station is less that what the surveyor had approved. Now what to do? Why and how can I pay for the accidental approved parts from my pocket.
    Most disgusting after this is that Ms. Neha Saini at okhla Office is totally irresponsible character. Trust me I will spread the service I have received from reliance in my best way. I call her 10 times a day ask her to reply to my email. She says she will see and then reply. Then I send her picture as attachjed above to reply. She says she forgot to check even after my several reminder. After 2 day chase up she says she did not received my email. I send her my email id and ask her to send me a test mail. Which she again fails to send. On next day she says she missed it. She has taken me for guaranteed. I on next day remind her to send me a test mail and today I got her test mail. I sent her the details once again and now till time, she have not replied to us. She earlier said, that if she finds she can totally cancel the payment / DO, even after the surveyors report. I think she is sitting there without knowing that we are also investors to this BIG company. I am feeling like going to consumer court and suing Mr Ambani for the harassment, they have done to me. I am going to office every day now by taxi paying RS 800 per day.

    If there is any body responsible, can they reply to my querry hat why should I pay more.

      Dear Sir/Madam,
      I m Sanjay Kumar from Jaipur. I applied for two wheeler insurance policy to Reliance General Insurance Agent at Vishal Mega Mart M.I. Road, Jaipur office in July 2009 and deposited Rs. 1015/-. Cover Note no. is[protected] But till date my money is not deposited by the Agent and have not received my policy also. I have complaint to Reliance General Insurance Office and Area Manager Mrs. Anju but they didn't give me a satisfactory answer. By end of this month one year is going to complete and my Two wheeler policy is not Genereted till now. Without policy i have got (paid) challan many times by traffice police. I am mentally disturbed because of this third class service by Reliance General Insurance. Please do in my favour ASAP.

        I have a Family Health Insurance Policy with Reliance Genaral Insurance for the last 3 years. This year they have raised the premium from less Rs.3000/- last year to Rs.13770/- this year. They say this is done due to various reasons like Inflation,Medical cost ,claims.and with all the provisions under Insurance Regulatory Rules and Regulations.
        I would like to know whether the Insurance Regulatory Board really approves to such increase

        Yes same thing has happend to my Reliance Health Gold Policy of my family. I am holding policy since last three years. Last year I paid premium of Rs 7798/-. For the current year I received renewal notice for Rs 50778/- ?????!!! . Increase in premium amount by nearly 550% !!! . Is IRDA allowing the insurance companies to increase the premiums like this or is Reliance fooling the customers on using IRDAs name?

          My santro car which is insured with Reliance General Insurance under policy no-[protected] caught fire on 1st may 2010 around 10 P.M.
          I parked my car outside my flat and After some time we heard people noise and when we checked outside from our balcony our car was burning from inside and suddenly driver side window exploded and which resulted complete car on fire.
          Our neighbors and we informed police but till that time complete car got burnt.

          I launched my claim on 2nd may 2010 with claim number [protected] around 1.10 P.M and was told that spot surveyor will visit my home for inspection in 5 hours.

          After that i am continuously following with Reliance call center and every time i have been told that someone will visit in next 5 hours.
          I launched my claim on 2nd may and next Day after repeated reminders to Call center Surveyor was assigned to my claim I had submitted all documents to Mr. BALVINDER SINGH CHEEMA on 14th may and was told that as car is burnt completely and repair cost is more than car value and it will go in total lose.

          I submitted following documents as request by Mr Cheema

          1.RC copy
          2.License Copy
          3.Police report
          4.Fire Bridge Report
          5.Insurance Policy Copy
          6.Claim form
          7.Estimate from work shop for repairs

          Then I got an SMS on 25th May that Pakhi Risk Evaluators are assigned as Investigation Survey but no one contacted me.

          I called them on 28th May around 12.48 P.M and they were asking for Documents again.

          I called Reliance call center on 28th May around 8.55P.M and Person was telling me as I did not signed repair voucher Claim is pending but then call disconnected and when I tried again it was 9.02 P.M so call center was closed.

          Then Investigator surveyor Visited my place and asked all documents again along with following
          • My Statement
          • Salary Slip
          • Form 16
          • Statement of Loan account.
          I handed over everything to him and then no one contacted me.

          I wrote to RGIL Following email

          i am writing again after 7 days as i was following with call center, surviour and investigator.
          But end of that is again misleading answers.
          Call center says your fill is under processing and pending with documents and investigation report.
          When i contacted mr cheema ,he says all documents are being sent to insurance agengcy and file is closed.
          Investigator says i had sent documents long back.
          Today i called call center again and after repeated request he gave me number of claim dept and asked me to contact mr.ankit.
          After continous calling for one hour i got a call back and ankit gave me answer he will look into this and will come back.
          I have been getting this answer from last 2 months but nothing is happening and no body is telling me right status.
          let me know if your team can help me or i need to esclate it or look for alternative forums like consumer court.
          Looking forward for early respone and resolution on this

          But got same response that we are Looking into this and it has been escalated.
          But no success on claim settlement.

          I am following with Call center Survivor etc but no Response.
          Call center gave me Claim dept number and asked me to call there but no one picks phone.
          I wrote to Relaince services again
          it seems to me that reliance does not want to settle my claim and just want to delay it for ever.
          Response i am getting from claim dept is highly un professional as first they don't pick the phone and if picks then keep on transfering to one another and no one tells what happening.
          Now one more thing happened Mr. Cheema surveyor called and asked me for original invoice of car.
          When reliance did insurance they did not asked for it and now when its time to settle claim they are asking all documents.
          I would like to know why it is required it is not part of claim requirement documents.
          It has been more than 2 months time i launched my claim and still it is un settled.
          This is adding too much of harassment to me and as a result i am not able to concentrate on my work.
          As mentioned earlier also i would like to have early response and resolution to my claim.

            Dear Sir

            I would like to bring to light the poor service, poor response and harassment by Bidar branch of Relaince General Insurance.

            I have been your regular customer for car insurance. This year I applied for renewal of car policy from Bidar branch vide cover note [protected] and expiry date 5/4/11.

            After one month from the day of expiry of old policy ie apr 10 i was told that this cover note is not valid due to change in govt policy of car insurance. I was asked to return the cover note and fresh photogrphs of the car were taken PB 08 AC 6664 (Indica DLE). I reconciled and cooperated till this stage.

            Today after 2 months of photographs having been taken for the second time i have not recieved the policy. I am in touch with Mr Sanjeev of Bidar Office since 29 Jun 10. I have been calling him to deliver the policy and even sent my repersentative to collect the policy but he has been making one excuse or the other. I was to go for some urgent work 200 Km from my place but I could not since I do not have a valid car insurance.

            For the past 5 days i have been calling up Mr Sanjeev. Every day he promised to deliver the policy but till date he has not been able to do the same. Now he has stopped attending my calls. This reflects very poor attitude and poor response to customer needs.

            Because of the non availability of insurance policy i have been under stress, since i have not been able to use my car for the last 3 months due to non availability of car insurance for last 3 months.

            May I request you to kind look into the matter as renpose by Mr Sanjeev reflected callousness, insenstivity, poor branch management and above the harassment of a regular customer.

            I am waiting for response please.

            I have purchased a car Maruti suzuki ALTO LXI on date[protected] from T.R. Sahwney Motor LTD at Indraprastha marg New Delhi. and vehicle insurance by Reliance General insurance co. ltd. One Day, My car is damage from accident then i was gave the car for servicing to T.R. sahwney motor Service work shop okhla new delhi. but, there are no service applicablity of reliance general ins. co ltd. So, after serveyor inspection, i was cash paid the damage renovate amount is 19200/- to T.R. Sahwney motor workshop on date[protected].then Next day, i will talk for claim with RGIL through My Insurnce Agent (Mr. Sanjeev Bhardwaj at okhla) he says, that your claim is already in process and as soon as RTGS Transfer in your account few 3-4 days. but i have no received any claim amount till date. Now, Mr.Sanjeev is not picked my phone and no given to me any reply regarding my claim. which is unfair. then i have conformed from RGIL customer care then he tell me, Mr. singh your claim is not under process, it in on hold because, your claim is stop from some problem. but i have no idea that why stoped my claim. Your Claim Manager M/s Rupinder Kaur (Claim Manager) posted at okhla branch in rgil plot no 60, phase -III new delhi, is Not Pick my phone and no given to me any reply regarding my claim.

            So, Please Solve my query regarding my claim and immediate take action against corrupted employees. My claim ref. No. is [protected], vehicle no is HR51AM 9616.

                This is regarding my claim of reliance general insurance (TPA mediassist) of my policy no[protected] gold mediclaim policy which was expire on 11/05/2010. I filled a claim on 11/02/2010 to claim cashless claim in aryan hospital gurgaon for my fracture left arm but mediassist denied for cashless facility and to ask pay tratment charges vide referance no(mediassist) 4729336 after that I take treatment from bajaj fracture clinic and submited all bill to reliance general (TPA mediassist) office[protected] vide referance no 4820383.
                Now more than 3 months is going on but no body reply to my claim of policy no[protected] of reliance general insurance.
                I am enclosing letter of mediassist in which they denied cashless facility and policy copy.

                Reliance General Insurance — no claim response

                my moterbyke (hero honda-splender) was stollen from outside my office at raniganj, i have loged a FIR on 04.11.2008 (FIR No. 193/08) at Raniganj PS. i had informed about the case to my insurance company(Reliance General Insurance) regarding the theft, according they had send there representative some Mr. Dipesh from M/s Surya Claims Bureau Ltd, 7A, Kiran Sanker Roy Road,Kol-700001, for investigation and collection of all relivent documents, and after submittion of all relivent papers there is no responds from there side even after regular chase-up. So i request you to intervain in the matter and hepl us.

                  I, Prem Singh Rathore, opted to get insurance renewed for my Car Maruti WagonR LXI, make-2008 bearing registration number DL9CS4315, from “M/s Reliance General Insurance” vide policy number [protected] through their representative Sh. Aadil, vide Cover/Proposal Note no[protected].

                  Sh. Aadil told me the IDV to be Rs 275000/-. As per his offer, I agreed for the deal & give an amount 4650/-vide cheque no 996698(ICICI BANK), on 18.05.2010.

                  After a week, I received the Policy documents indicating the IDV amount as Rs 250000/- only, which is a difference of Rs 25000/-. I inquired about the misappropriation but he refused to give any detail.

                  I asked him to tell me the procedure for terminating this deal, he used unparliamentarily language. Since then, all my efforts have ended on his deaf ears and I am continuously ignored. His behaviour is beyond belief.
                  Thus, I have been cheated in this matter. I have been hurt emotionally, insulted and my faith is about to shatter regarding such agencies and their representatives.

                    Sub: Refund of insurance premium

                    Refer our car insurance policy # [protected]

                    We applied for insurance premium refund in Feb-10 as I have sold my car and the buyer had taken another his own policy from the same reliance general insurance company. I have provided all the details including new policy copy of new owner. I had no claims on this policy and filed a refund claim in Feb-10.

                    I have been following with their branch office at 4th Floor, Sagar Plaza,Abids Road, Hyderabad for the last 5 months. I have worked with one Mr.Ashish/Venkat, after 1 month this guy refereed to another person, then finally to manager Thripati, he subseqtely handed over this matter to one Mr.Jyothirlaganm. We are clueless and they are playing a foot ball with my refund claim and not responding when I visit their office personally or phone calls.

                    I have lodged a complaint with their customer care; unfortunately they have again asked me to work with same the branch officers.

                    I have undergone so much of pressure and I requested them several times humbly to sanction my refund as I have no money to pay child school fee.

                    I humbly request you to take suitable action against them and caution the public about their unethical business practices

Therefore, this particular ailment is found to be present prior to the inception of policy and going beyond the coverage of present policy.

                      However, we regret our inability to admit this liability under the present policy conditions.

                      Reliance General Insurance — Hospitalization Claim Denial

                      I have a Mediclaim policy through Reliance Health Insurance and my policy no. is 1304/[protected].
                      On 13th April 2010,I had a severe slip Disc problem and was unable to move my lower part of the body and was taken to Central Hospital, Faridabad in an Ambulance. Reliance declined my claim stating that there was no need of hospitalization and it could have been rectified in OPD.

                      We did ask them to provide us the reason for decline ion writing which they refused and were even rude to my father over the phone. Even there was an investogator who came from the TPA department as per him asked me what is the problem and I explained him everything. While writing the report I could make it out that he was unable to write english and was not educated enough.

                      As per the Doctor, this was a genuine case and hospitalization was necessary.

                      I would like to request you to please update me as to where should I contact to get this matter resolved as I would like to take it ahead because the team of Reliance whom I spoke to and my father spoke to were highly unprofessional and I would like to have the reason for denial in writing.

                          rel. insurance — policy yet not received

                          I paid Rs.25000=00,cheque no. 661986 dt.[protected],cleared from bank of maharastra pratap nagar branch on[protected],which was paid in favour of rel.insurance for Rel.Traditional super invest assure plan.I have recd. an e mail that policy has been issued on[protected],policy no.[protected]f Rs.15000=00. So far I have not received the policy as well as balance amount of Rs.10000=00.

Ltd.F-2,Kailash Plaza ,H-252,Sant Nagar,New Delhi-110065 on 11/02/2010 wide register no.21.

                            Later Dr.Riaz (M-[protected] ) of TPA Medi Assist India Pvt.Ltd. F-2,Kailash Plaza ,H-252,Sant Nagar,New Delhi-110065,phone me that name was uncorrect hence we cannot process your claim and he require some more documents.

                            I again went to office of TPA Medi Assist India Pvt.Ltd. F-2,Kailash Plaza ,H-252,Sant Nagar,New Delhi-110065,on 05/03/2010 and I have submitted name correction letter made by me on Reliance General Insurance letter head in begining and submit Affidavit as required by Dr.Riaz (M-[protected] ) .                               Reliance General Insurance — Treating Employee

                              I am working for Reliance Genereal Insurance for 2.3 Years as a customer service officer. Job profile is to sell general insurance products. I am doing good business to them. Now the problem is, new branch manager came to office his name is Arun, he doesnt know about my earliest performances he is always discourage me. Now he want me Resign immediately without notice. I excuse so many time then i met Regional head(RH) regarding to transfer, he ask me to wait for 2days but very next day Mr.Arun called RH and told him that dont give tranfer to him.Now arun torchering me to resign and treating me as a accused, he saying that dont use office phone and systems. Without using that how we can do business? I want to take severe action on him.

                              Two employee from India's largest group have left me completely baffled. Mr Sanjeev Kumar (surveryor) and Ms Neha Saini ( claims manager) have caused my father a lot of inconvenience over a week's time, which is really surprising as it takes a lot to get him worked up. He had purchased a Chevrolet spark from regent motors delhi who alloted us with reliance insurance for the vehicle as part of the car deal. I am really irritated at the dishonest way which the aforementioned employees and the entire call center dedicated to their so-called "customer service". My father who has recently retired and being hindered by arthritis was not able to personally give his car for the necessary treatment had even arranged a pick and drop facility offered by the workshop people has even been suggested by Miss Saini that he can do better than talking to her ( a claims manager) and is being consistently compelled to write an email. I find his "customer experience" ridiculous and the company which has been hailed as India's saviors to be class-less in comparison to MNCs' who have been doing a good job.

                              Moral of the Story: Dont deal with reliance general insurance company, they are nothing but glorified con-artists.

                                I am an agent of Reliance General Insurance Company Ltd. But my client have not received many of my policies and receipt from the company. I ahd made several demand through telephone and by email at RGICL's Guwahati Office and even in Head Office. They also charged excess premium in many of my clients Healthwise policies. Some of my client had received policies with a lower premium then they had paid in cheque. But the company not returned the same till today though the repeated demand had been made. So, I request you to please look into the matter for the greater interest of Clients.

                                Reliance General Insurance — Non payment of claim amount

                                Sir/Madam,

                                My name is Manoj Kumar, I claimed in April 2008 for damage of my two wheeler (Bajaj Pulsar 150 CC) having No. UP12N 3919 due to an accident in Meerut, UP in April-2008 with the submission of all necessary documents. Company had registered my claim application and gave me a Claim reference No. [protected]. First and final surveys have done by Sh. Rajeev Arora and Padmun Gupta in April and May - 2008 but no pay claim amount by the company till date, I am very hopeless/depress due to late in claim clearance. My policy Cover Note No. is [protected].

                                My name is Shashibal A pandey and my claim no is 4290455 for mediclaim in May 09.

                                The agreed claim amount is Rs 86000.

                                But even after submitting all document which was asked i have not recieved the claim.

                                If this is the speed for the claim disposal, what to tell.

                                Every time taliking to the 3rd party or claim department in Ahmedabad, we are getting assurance that the cheque will be send within a week time.

                                Reliance General Insurance Company Ltd. — Non-payment of claim for reimbursement of medical expenses

                                I am insured with reliance healthwise health insurance plan since year 2007.I had sent a claim on 16.08.2009 of Rs.31,575.99/- for reimbursement of expenses occured on post hspitalisation treatment of surgery for tubercular abcess which I had undergone on 3.06.09. After, some days when I contacted TPA(Medi Assist India) on phone it was informed to me that my claim has been approved by them, however, it has been sent to Reliance General Insurance Company ltd. for further approval since approved claim amount is more than Rs.30,000/-. On contacting the latter, it was told to me that my case is under investigation. I also got a complaint registered on company's helpline regarding delay in payment of claim amount. It was registered at No.784486. It is pertinent to mention that an official on behalf of company had met me for instigation purpose 2-3 months back
                                On 8.03.2010, I sent a notice to Reliance General Insurance Company and TPA to make payment against my claim within 15 days. No response/reply has been received.
                                It is therefore request to take action against Reliance General Insurance Company and Medi Assist, as they connived to withhold my claim for more than 7 months.

                                    Reliance General Insurance Co.Ltd. — Application of wrong rate (rate use for insurance of Bus) for insurance of my SUV

                                    Hello Everybody,

                                    I had three years back taken vehicle insurance policy from Reliance General Insurance Co. This was the first year I have taken out insurance policy for my SUV. The first years premium paid by me was about Rs.16,000/-. When I approached the Company for renewing my insurance policy for the second year, the Company asked me pay Rs.26,000/- towards premium. Upon my enquiring as to how the Company is asking me to pay more premium for the second year, I was told that they have quoted rate applicable to 'BUS'. Had there been my vehicle met with an accident during the first year, Company would have accepted my claim?

                                    I had lodged the complaint with IRDA and also sent e-mail to the Chairman of the Company Mr. Anil Ambani. I had received a phonecall from one of the officers from their Corporate Office.enquiring in what way I would like to settle the matter amicably? I informed him that the concerned employee/agent be removed from their office and I should be advised in wrilting of having taken action against the concerned person, and then only I will withdraw my complaint.

                                    However, I did not get any response from the Corporate office of the Company. Moreover, IRDA also advised me that my complaint stands closed. I had advised IRDA that my requirement is not fulfilled by Reliance Insurance Co, and till such time my complaint should not be closed. Till date I have not received any reply in the matter from IRDA.

                                      I (Sandeep Gupta) bought Comprehensive Car Insurance Policy (Policy # [protected], Cover Note #[protected] for my Car (Santro DLC AT 2453) from your company in July 2009 and I find a mistake in the policy sent to me and there is clear case of cheating either by the agent or by the company itself.
                                      I bought this policy from Mr. Tarun (Mob: [protected]) on 02 July 2009 who visited me personally to sell this policy.
                                      When I bought this Policy, I was given the IDV of Rs. 2,75,940/- By Mr. Tarun (including Rs. 4000/- for Body color bumpers as my car is XL model which comes with black bumper by default however I exchanged them with Body color bumper from the company at the time of purchasing this Car). Including everything (Insurance for Body color bumper) I issued him the cheque of Rs. 5813/- drawn on Axis Bank.
                                      Now here is the complaint:

                                      First It took long time to receive this Policy cover Note from you guys. I received it only in September 2009.
                                      Secondly (most Important) When I received the Cover note, The IDV mentioned was only Rs. 2,71,940/- and there was no mention whether the Body color bumpers are covered or not. Considering that company must be doing right thing and I will not be cheated like this, I did not take any action.
                                      Recently when I Tried to obtain the claim on my Car after accident, I was told that the body color bumpers are not covered and I will have to pay for the paint of bumpers, I was taken aback by this information and realized that I am cheated by one of the largest Organizations in India.
                                      My Car is under Repair right now with MGF Hyundai (PatparGangh, Delhi) and the Claim number is [protected]. It was assigned to Mr. Vineet Singh[protected] Mob: [protected] for survey which he has completed and approved most of the thing except Bumper paint since it was not covered in my policy by you guys.
                                      I have called your customer service yesterday and Spoke to a guy called Prasad who registered my complaint (Complaint # 1139195).
                                      I am attaching the Scanned copy of Proposal cum cover note given to me by your agent at the time of buying this Policy also the scanned copy of the cover note sent by the company to me.

                                      I request that this is taken on Priority and the IDV should be revised from the Policy start date and my claim should be processed accordingly ASAP as I need my car back ASAP. This is to inform that I am sending the hard copy and soft copy of the same Email to Insurance Ombudsman as well and will any route I have to get the claim which I deserve to get and if required will take the company to consumer court and will write about the same to every open forum, Facebook, orkut, twitter and every other open forum if the necessary action is not taken ASAP.

                                      These people has replied with the comment " We would like to inform you that, as it is a private car, we are unable to cover the bumpers".
                                      They are useless even after sending the scanned copy of the cover note given to me by their agent, they refused to entertain the same and you all know what kind of service you can expect from companies like that.

                                      Now I have also written a formal letter to them and asked them to reply in 10 days and if they dont reply positive, I will approach Insurance Ombudsman and consumer Court.
