Sir , My name is Gurdeep Singh r/o 2015/A Sector 37-C Chandigarh !60036.I had a car insured from ur company for the lst three to four years.that is FIAT UNO make Model 2003.Now the car met with an accident on 28th of august 2010 and i registered a complaint on the very same day and the complaint no .is [protected] . Then the company sent to me surveyor named ajay verma he refused to take the case as itr goes beyond his power,then the company sent another surveyor Mr P.K.BANSAL(306134).He started making bargaining with us that he will provide me the material for the repair of car from auto scrap dealers and then get ready fro a deal that he will give me 90000.00 and will take the car in his custody. I filed a complaint against him on your online toll free no and the complaint no against mr bansal is "1434246" Then company sent me another surveyor Mr amarjit singh arora he comes and narrate the same story to get the vehicle repaired which is not in repairable condition but ur company keep on insisting me to get that repair and they say this vehicle is not in manafacturing any more so the company will give me only 70000.00 as repair charges.Now if anyone is listning to these complaints plz tell me what should i do.........My car model 2003 insured value is 1,50,000.00 and the loss is exceeding more then 2 lacs.And those surveyors keep on saying that i got a fake insurance with high value.Now if it is wrong then where was the company when they take the fees from me against that secondly, if the person doing insurance on behalf of the company is fool then to me the whole channel of managers sitting on him are bloody fools who pass this case and sent me the policy............Kindly help this to sort out my case.....................Gurdeep Singh Dhiman +[protected]

RELIANCE AUTO INSURANCE — NOT ABLE TO PUT CLAIM FOR CAR REPAIRS

Dear Sir,

It is very bad to get my car insured from Reliance.

Three month back I purchased second hand Haryana No, Santro car. On the sam day I got insured my car from reliance. At that time RC was not on my name.

Unfortunatly after few day car got an accident while saving a child playing on the street. I contacted the reliance insurance agent and told him about the incident. He said that as RC is not on your name so it is better you get it on your name and then I put your clam. He insured us that don't worry he will take care of everything afterwards. Due to unavoidable resons, I got RC transfered to my name just last week.
I contacted that agent again so that he start his work. Now he is saying that new rule has come that before getting insurance transfered inspection has to be done again. Now I got stucked. What should I do now? We take insurance for such times and now it is of no use. Please advise me to do needful.

RELIANCE HEALTH INSURANCE , RELIANCE — CLAIM SETTLEMENT MORE THAN TWO MONTHS

Sir, I have health insurance policy No. [protected] with Reliance. I am maintaining it from last 4 years and have never claimed. In September this year my daughter got developed Dengue and hospitalised in emergency in Red Cross Hospital. Total claimed I filed for about Rs.9000/- I submitted all original papers on chasing with a agent I came to know through email they have closed the case as I did not reply to their notice but actually their was no notice. They had my email/mobile and there was no communication.

Now they are asking some information which I have already given, please help in meeting this. This is a genuine case.

    My query is for a Reliance General Insurance agent/person. Are there any charges for an agent to visit the client, and also to physically inspect a vehicle before giving an insurance? The agent who came to renew my car insurance asked me to give a check of Rs 1500 ON HIS NAME for a third party insurance saying that Rs 1500 is the standard premium amount for a third party insurance. Later on he told me that his visiting charges are Rs 200, and inspection of a vehicle charges are Rs 200 too.
    I find that hard to believe, as I have never been asked for such charges before by any other insurance company prior to this incident.

      My self Ashok Tanwar.I am working as an engineer in a automobile company.I have a swift lxi car insured from Relaince Insurance.It got damaged on 11.09.2010 and surveyed on 13.09.2010 .on same day i called the surveyor thattime he says"i have some doubts in my mind I will call you tomorrow"I again called to same person after 04 days that time he says"Please arrange 03 thousand repees as soon as possible' So how the people justify this type of behaviour.Lots of people doing this type of practice .So please resolve this issue as soon as possible otherwise i will take take the help of consumer courts.Please do needful

          I have taken a renewal policy from Reliance General Company through their agent M/s B.S.Enterprises on 15.08.10 and made the necessary payment by cheque vide their receipt number 214 dt. 15.08.10. but regret to inform that till date neither have I received the policy not the cover note. I have spoken to Mr. Sridhar,Ms. Nikita & Ms. Sneha but of no use and also sent a mial in this regard. As of now they are avoiding the calls made to them. Hence I request the higher authorities to look into the matter and take necessary action against your agent M/s.             Ref to our policy no: [protected], many time we have contacted at office of Medi Assist TPA Ltd from march 2010 . after one month i have talk to costomer care of medi assist TPA LTD , i got surprised that my file was not proceeds due to incomplete documentation . secondly i have submited all needable papers to their office.

            I have submited all the document's thrice .

            We had submited original documents as per suggestions to Medi assist TPA Ltd, Delhi.
            The claim request is containing following documents:-
            1. Original bill
            2. Original test report's.
            3. TPA Card issued by Medi Assist
            9. Original Bills and receipts against expenses in hospital's investigations and medicines
            Still there is no information from Medi Assist TPA Ltd, Delhi
            Please help us

              I got my car insured from Reliance.My car got damaged on 12/06/2010.I have submitted complain for the same and their representative approved repairing of the same and dues will be paid to me but after submission of all the documents nothing has benn done.I complaint in customer care but they say survey report is not submmitted from Reliance surveyer and when I tal to concerned surveyer hw say He has deposited all the documents.Now It is reliance responsibility to pay the ammount.

                I Sri Ashes Mukherjee & Family joined in Healthwise –Gold scheme of Reliance General Insurance Company on 12.10.2007 with first premium Rs 4773 for 2 years (policy No.[protected] and paid 1st renewal premium Rs 2451 for 1 year in 12.10.2009 (policy no. [protected]). Now, I received a Renewal Notice dated 05.07.2010 stated 2nd renewal premium Rs.11315 for 1 year with increasing rate of 461.5%, on the ground of “an upswing in the illness and the inflationary trend in medical costs”.
                RGIL are fixing Rs.11315 premium (34 years - Primary Holder) for 2 Lakhs Sum Assured, ie Occurrence and Sample Ratio is 1 : 17.68 means out of 18 (17.68) policyholders 1 policy holder will make claim, does it really possible in this age group ? I don’t know, which Actuarial Statistic’s calculation approved thatr premium rate.
                The provision of this type o[censored]nethical premium increment (461.5%) should be granted by Insurance Act and also approved by regulatory authorities like IRDA / SEBI.
                Not only RGIL the other Regulatory Authorities like IRDA / SEBI must look into the matter & reconsider their approvals because as a developing country like INDIA where GOVT. OF INDIA put more emphasis on Health Insurance. But, till today this type o[censored]nethical, cheating, customer harassments are also going on regular basis and our GOVT have no control over the situation.

                Reliance General Insurance Company Limited — Charges recovered against Policy No 1601792311002132

                Respected Sir,

                Your Company had passed a claim reference No. [protected] against Policy No. [protected]. As per Policy details Company will deducted Rs. 500/- against claim amount passed by the company. The moment i received your Cheque i saw that Rs. 4000/- instead of Rs. 500/- deducted from total claim of Rs. 8470/-.

                I have some doubts against the policy of the company, the moment you are providing Policy to the policy holder you are not sure/aware about the facts mentioned in the policy.

                Considering the same issue, kindly revert Rs. 3500/- which was wrongly debited from the claim amount while settling the Claim note.

                  Surprized to know Today when i contacted Reliance rep for RENEWAL of policy[protected]at C.P. informed me that Issued cheque dated 16.09.2009 for Rs 4800 was bounced .

                  Till date i do not have any information from M/S Reliance General Insurance that cheque was bonced and policy is broken.I believed Reliance but my car is at RISK since than.

                  M/S RELIANCE could have reproduced cheque to same bank or asked me for cash payments.I would have paid cash without delay.

                  M/S RELIANCE neither reproduced cheque ( as it is of my salary account could have been cleared payments ,cheque issued is valid for six months). CAR Insurance RENWAL requested without break additional charges with immdiate effect.I will pay cash todayR.C.KHURANA([protected])

                    I have an Insurance of my Mercedes Benz from Reliance General Insurance Co. Ltd. for an insured amount of Rs. 7,50,000/- approx. Unfortunately my car met with an accident at Sohna Road, Gurgaon. The car got badly damaged from the Rear right passenger side. I called up the customer care of RGI and asked to appoint a surveyor. They appoint a surveyor Mr. Sanjeev Kumar but he refused to go to Gurgaon for inspection. He said he looks only after Okhla. We again called up the customer care to appoint a surveyor for Gurgaon. They kept me waiting for 5 days but no surveyor was appointed for me. Then I took my car to TNT Motors at Okhla. Again, after three days of repeated telephonic requests for a surveyor, Mr. M.K. Aggrawal was appointed.

                    TNT Motors gave their estimate of Rs 2,74,000/-. We then asked Mr. M.K. Aggrawal to give his approval. After four days of Repeated telephonic calls, he gave his approval. For my utter surprise, he gave his approval only for Rs. 44,000/- which is not a justifying amount at all. On asking him why he is giving approval for such a small amount, he said that he can approve for this much only. Also, he said that the charges of parts and labour are very high at TNT Motors.

                    I wrote a letter to Mr. Ambani but no action is being taken yet. My car is still lying at TNT Motors and due to climatic conditions it is getting rusted. I am suffering a lot because of the unprofessional attitude and negligence of their employees.

                    This is the way of working of such a big and esteemed MNC i.e. Reliance General Insurance Co. Ltd.

                      This is my 2nd reminder to you, i had posted my complaint yesterday morning but no action has been taken yet. The problem was:-

                      It is to inform you that I had purchased Hyundai i10 Era on 27th of January 2010 and that time Reliance Insurance agent convinced me for General Insurance. It was cashless and now the problem is, My car got accident, when it was parking in front of our residence on 29th-August-2010. Yesterday, I went at Hyundai Show room and ask to repair the said car. But the person was seating there, Mr. Kuldeep (Insurance Executive) Mob:[protected] said the reliance company has now ended cashless facility. But, when I purchased the said policy on 27th-January-2010, that time it was cashless, how a company can do this. When the company, make any amendment in the rules and regulations then it is effected from the current date, not for the previous customers. Mr.Kuldeep then given me, the number of Mr. Ajay Sharma (Perhaps the SM of Hisar) Mob:[protected], the way he talked to me was strange as I made a crime. I was shocked, even he was not listening to me. Now please take a stern step, so that the company should know, How to treat with the customers?

                        Sir,

                        My claim no is :4839263. My MAID no is :[protected] and My Policy no is :[protected] .I applied for reimbursement claim in the month of March 2010 with all requisite document in Medi assist branch in banglore. There was no action on it till 23.07.10 but I got the reply as it is under process. At last on 26.07.10 when enquired in Mediassist Hyderabad branch they said now the case is under final opinion and it may take 10 to 15 days for its finalistion. But on 17.08.10 Dr. Mustafa of Banglore called me that his representative will meet me and try to cooperte. On 19.08.10 Dr. Harsha working in Appolo met me and took the relevant information from me as part of final opinion. On 30.08.10 I called Dr. Mustafa and asked him about my claim, he replied that they sent to relevant department for necessary action and any thin pertaining to claim will come to e-mail directly. So, when can I expect my claim?

                          This is just to WARN people how Reliance General Insurance acts in case of Claims.I bought a Travel Insurance for self and wife in May 2010.Our baggage was delayed by Airlines and was delivered after more than 36 hours.The Policy document stated $100 in case Baggage is delayed for more 12 hours.Now some points which People should be made aware of:
                          1.Reliance has outsourced Claims to Third Party like the Medical Insurance which provides excuse to both to make you shuttle between the two.The two make you go between them.
                          2.Reliance reply to any complaint is the stereo-typed automated reply irrespective of what you write.
                          3.There is no information on tel no/email of any official on their website(at least I could not find it).There is a Customer Care # but it will ask you to contact TPA.
                          4.The Policy was purchased directly from Reliance and they send just the one page Policy Document.In small print it says that it is governed by Terms, Conditions and Exclusions .These are NOT SENT along with Policy Document but Claims are subject to those Terms and Conditions which have different meaning than what someone will understand from the Policy Document.This is the SHOCKER that you will get.
                          5.In this case the TPA linked the Claim to Emergency Purchases which is not stated on the Policy Document but only as part of Terms,Conditions and Exclusions.HERE LIES THE CATCH.Supposing you do not make any Emergency Purchase then you ARE NOT ENTITLED to any Claim as the Company defends itself by saying that you are INDEMNIFIED AGAINST ANY EXPENSES SUBJECT TO LIMIT BUT NOT ENTITLED TO ANY AMOUNT PER SE AS STATED ON THE DOCUMENT EVEN IF THAT IS NOT MENTIONED ON THE POLICY DOCUMENT.
                          6.The TPA excuse is that because you CHECKED A BOX stating that you have read the Terms and Conditions you cannot claim ignorance of those Terms,Conditions and Exclusions even if they are NOT SENT to you.Just for information of all it was sent to me after the dispute started and it is a 11 Page Document.

                          I write all this in detail so that Purchaser’s of any Policy know how they can be deprived of any Claim legitimately and can scratch your head.One last thing-when you buy Family Policy which covers all Family Member’s mentioned on the Policy the amount mentioned under each Head is TOTAL AND DOES NOT APPLY INDIVIDUALLY AS ONE WOULD BE LEAD TO BELIEVE.For individual coverage buy separate Policy and PAY ACCORDINGLY.So there is NO BENEFIT in buying Family Plan.

                            Response to above subject our car was accident earlier, and we was claim to company at ahmedabad branch .

                            We was intimate for accident to company after 31 days of accident because that days we was busy to some of legal matter with local police station and court related to this accident , and after approximately one month we was completed all the formality for court and police station and than immediately we was intimate our claim to company , and we are not know any time limit for intimation , here is only and only above reason for delayed intimation , and also we are provide police FIR , and also our lose is same as per police panchnama which is carryout on same day of accident , and after one day we was replaced our car to repairing workshop .

                            Also your local office said that we are try to positive but at list 10 % to 15 % was deducted from your claim amount and now days they all are says we are cant do any things , you will try to H.O. at Mumbai, so I am request you for claim settlement .if you are not able to settle the claim than than I have only one way to justices, I will go to OMBUSMAN

                              This is a warning to all Vehicle owners:

                              Please don't buy any type of Reliance General Insurance which is known for cheating/malign people of india. While taking my Motor Insurance, one of my friend (now enemy, just now I came to know that to he get commision when he recommeds) recommended to take reliance insurance but I am suffering a lot as I am not able to get my claim now.
                              Whenever I contact customer care, they keep on telling same answer "claim is being processed" and when I threatened them that I am going to take action via IRDA, they cooly said "Please go ahead, we will face it as lots of legal issue pending against us". What a rediculus answer it is. Instead of taking this insurance, we can die in accident itself as we cannot die slowly trying to get the claim.

                              When I searched internet I have seen lots complaints about reliance. Hmm...annoying....My comment is whenever you buy insurance next time Please see the review in internet or google it for "Best Motor Insurance in india" or "Best Insurance" or "Best General Insurance" or "Best Vehicle Insurance" or "Best Car Insurance" or "Best Two-wheeler Insurance" or "Best Two wheeler Insurance" or "Best Medical Insurance" or "Best Health Insurance".

                              What I learnt and the Moral is "Reliance=Cheating,malign whatever bad word u use".

                              Not only Insurance...whatever the reliance product...I am not telling this not to create bad name for Reliance but my experience...I am not recommending any product also, it's up to you whether you want to buy a bad experience or good one".

                                Respected Sir,
                                I am a policy holder of Reliance General Insurance. My Policy No. is [protected] which is a Family Health Insurance Gold Plan policy. This policy is due for renewal on on[protected].
                                Sir, I would like to draw your kind attention that in the present year, I paid Insurance premium of Rs.3728/- for the Sum Insured of Rs.300,000/- for the family (Husband+Wife+ 1 Child). SURPRISINGLY, when I received the policy renewal notice I got shocked as the premium amount of Rupees 3728/- was increased to Rs.14,319/- for the same policy of Rs.300,000/-. The reason of such a massive increase in health policy is given by the company as "UPSWING IN THE ILLNESS & THE INFLATIONARY TREND IN MEDICAL COSTS".
                                Sir, I feel the reason Insurance Company has given to increase in the policy premium amount by nearly 400% is totally unjustified & cannot prove increase in medicines cost by nearly 400%.
                                I therefore request Honourable Consumer Forum to take corrective action to safeguard interest of the common people & Direct the insurance companies not to increase premiums as stated in this case.

At the time of Insurance offer & deal with Agent of Reliance General Insurance Co. Ltd. I had given all my Previous Insurance details & my RC where in my CNG was endorsed. I had not got any printed cerificate from them but a Reliance General Insurance Co. Ltd manual letter with all details in the same.In that it was not specified that CNG is not included or included. I had an accident recently & the vehicle was given to Axcelo Maruti sevice Zone in Gurgaon where in i was offered cashless support.                                       I , K. Srinivas, lodged a reimbursement claim against my sudden surgery in CARE hospitals in Hyderabad in the month of March'2010. Till June'2010 I got the reply that it is under process. In June'2010 I received a letter stating to submit all originals pertaining to my ailment which I submitted to their Banglore office along with claimform. Before finally approaching with Reliance Genaral Insurance office I contacted the Hyderabad TPA branch on 26.07.2010 to know the status of my claim and they said that all the requisite information has been updated on 23.07.2010 and the case is under final opinion. I once again enquired on 07.08.2010 as after 15days the reply I got is "The case is under final opinion and we can,t say one fixed time for its payment." Inthis case I request you to give me valuable suggestion so that I can get rid of this intentional delay by TPA for reimbursement. I am furnishing my address along with mobile no. for verification. In the month of April 2010 I shifted my house from Banglore to Hyderabd as my job was transferred to Hyderabad.

                                        I took Insurance Policy from Relaince General Insurance on 25th May 2010.
                                        I have neither recieved the hard copy of Insurance papers not the Soft copy.

                                        The soft copy that I have received on 05th August 2010, has wrong CAR registration number.

                                        The Covernote had the right CAR registration number, but the policy ahs wrong Registration number.

                                        After repeated calls (I am not Insured as I do not have policy with me and the Covernote has expired), they have reverted and told me to send the RC papers of the car. They have blatantly told that they cannot resolve the issue for another 7 days.

                                        I paid the insurance amount 2 months 10 days back and I have still not received my Insurance copy and my car is not insured.
                                        Please find the mail trail.
