1. There is renewal due on 29th July for policy[protected] and nobody
contacted me for renewal from Reliance General Insurance.
2. I tried to contact Mr. Sachin B. Satpute who has collected my previous
cheque and documents and he simply ignored my call with "Wrong number"
answer. I know he is working with Relience and you can find him
roaming in Aundh Webstore.
3. Finally i called toll free no and their customer service guy assured me that somone will collect payment within 7 working days. Service request no[protected]
4. After 11 days i contacted them again as nobody from Reliance General Insurance even bothered to call me. Again i receive the same response from them and they said they can-t do anything.

My policy is already expired. The contact no for local branch is not working. I feel it is relience policy to continue only for 2 year with customer and discourage renewal for 3rd year onward so they have to pay back less claims and collect money only by making new customers. They are simply cheating with customers and Insurance regulation authorities should look into this and cancel their service license. You can simply search in Google find out how many complains against them.

For any information call me at [protected] and i will expose their fraud for in favor of public of India and around.
There is renewal due on 22nd November for policy [protected] and nobody
contacted me for renewal from Reliance General Insurance. and also my residential address (pincode) is wrong please do the needful

    COMPLAINT AGAINST RELIANCE GENERAL INSURANCE CO. LTD FOR ISSUING CAR INSURANCE POLICY FOR LESS ID VALUE OF Rs. 3, 01, 000/- INSTEAD OF Rs.3, 18, 000/- AND NON-DELIVERY OF GIFT ITEM BY THEIR AGENT [DELHI BRANCH CODE 1302/297272]

    Ref: Policy No. [protected] and Cover Note No.[protected] in respect of Hyundai car i-10 Era DL 4C AJ 1242

    Dear Sir,
    Earlier my Hyundai car i-10 Era Model bearing registration No. DL 4C AJ 1242 was insured with HDFC up to March, 2009. I received a number of repeated telephonic calls from the representative (Ms Swati) for the insurance of my car from Reliance as she will give discount up to 45% and the value of my car was assessed to Rs. 3, 18, 000/-. Besides she also promised me to give a complimentary gift worth Rs. 500/- in case the insurance is being done through them. She constantly pursuaded me to issue the post-dated cheque for the insurance of my aforesaid car from Reliance General Insurance through their agency. Accordingly I issued the post-dated cheque for Rs. 7, 360/- in favour of Reliance General Insurance. The photostat copy of the receipt is enclosed. But I received the Cover Note No.[protected] from Reliance General Insurance for the value of 3, 01, 000/- instead of 3, 18, 000/-. I talked to the Ms. Swati and Ms Taruna and told them that I have been issued the cover note for less ID value of 3, 01, 000/- instead of 3, 18, 000/-. She told me that it has been done by mistake and she will get it rectified within a fortnight period but till date nothing has been done.

    It would be appreciated if the Reliance General Insurance Company is asked to look into the matter and do the needful without further delay under intimation to me.

      Respected Sir,
      I had got insured my Vehicle no. CH04B 7178 from National Insurance Co. Ltd
      on 16.02.09 and policy no. is 361701/31/08/[protected]. Earlier i got it in
      sured from Reliance General Insurance and my insurance no. was [protected] which expired on 31.01.09. After getting my vehicle insured from National when i asked from No Claim Bonus, I was told by the executive that once they got letter from Reliance General Insurance that i have not claim any insurance then only they will give NCB to me. Regarding this a letter was sent to Reliance from National Insurance.When no reply came from Reliance
      two reminder was sent again but nothing has happened as yet. Whenever i call up executive of National Insurance, I was told that I have to wait as my
      earlier insurance was from Chandigarh so i have to wait for their letter.
      I am fed up from this, please help me out. I would be grateful
      to you.

        Attached is the Policy Cert # [protected] and Previous Policy # [protected].

        PLEASE take note of the Period of Insurance from 00:00 hrs on 13/02/2009 to Midnight on 12/02/2009

        Secondly, on a NO CLAIM issue the NET Premium should decreased but here they have increased the same from Rs.5968/= to Rs.6735/=

        Thirdly, they are supposed to send us MediClaim Cards for the Family; they have FAILED to do so since 13/02/2008.

        THIS IS THE TYPE OF SERVICE RELIANCE GENERAL INSURANCE provides SERVICE TO ITS CUSTOMERS, ONCE THEY HAVE GOT YOUR MONEY THEY DO NOT BOTHER OF AFTER SALES SERVICE.

          I guess Anil Ambani hasn't learn anything from his father, rather he has learned a few thing from Amar Singh. I runs a hoax company by the name of Reliance General Insurance. It is basically meant to swallow up your money. I purchased policy from this company on 23rd Jul 2009, but didn't read the reviews till 28th Jul 2009.

          On 29th Jul 2009 I canceled my policy, I was actually expecting instant money debiting into my account. Behold, the fraud is here. I wrote a mail to the consumer cell, and after four days I got "revert back". On 3rd July 2009 they me a send mail and a service number. I waited for those auspicious seven days to get over and I call back, apparently the money is not in my account on 10th Jul 2009. The dear customer care dare to tell me that they will pity me and put my request in expedite list and give another service number. I call the customer care number and enter my new services number. Message is the issue is resolved. I call the customer care, and again they try to give me a number but this time they don't even do that.

          So what do I do now I "revert back" to consumer cell. I will not only ask for my money but Rs. 400 I have spend on phone bill, Rs 600 of the Man hours I had taken me to have all the reverting back of Reliance and 9% interest for a month on my money that is laying in the coffers of Anil Ambani.

          I hope it works otherwise it will be a waste of democracy and law and order. As for Reliance there is no hope.

            Dear Sir

            I Pooja Khanna is complaining on behalf of my husband Mr. Rajesh khanna vide Policy No.[protected] from reliance General insurance Co. Ltd who met with a serious accident late night of 8 july 2009. On highway near Appolo a heavy loaded truck hit him by side and crushed his foot badly. The Driver ran away, when he saw that the victim is under his truck tyre. A complaint was registered by the local nearest police station. And my husband was taken to Appolo by some unknown passer by people. from that time till now we are not having any positive response from Reliance General Insurance Co. and Medi Assist India Pvt. Ltd Banglore. We are not able to afford all the expenses made in hospital. so we have shifted the patient to Shanti Mukand Hospital Vikas Marg Which was also in panel of Insurance Co. but they are not giving any kind of response. we have lodged a complaint in Reliance General Insurance against TPA vide No.463681 dated 11.07.09. Please Sir help us . I am the only earning person in my family. we are on rent and I have two small kids to look after. Please Do something in my favour otherwise how will I made the payments.

            Reliance General Insurance — Rude response at the time of accident

            Dear Sir

            I Pooja Khanna is complaining on behalf of my husband Mr. Rajesh khanna who met with a serious accident late night of 8 july 2009.             I am Sanjay Kumar, I have a medical policy from Reliance General Insurance Co. Its started from 18th Jan. 2010. But i have not received any hard copy of documents from Reliance General Insurance Co. to till date. I was called many times on toll free number from last two months. But we are not having any positive response from Reliance General Insurance Co. Customer executive told me everytime documents are dispatch.
            Kindly provide me all documents and cash less card as soon as possible.

Ltd who met with a serious accident 0n 27/01/2011 at morning 12:00 pm .near padkal mndl:jakranpally dist:nizamabad. in the working spot the big stone crushed on my motor vechicle tata hitachi 110 and my motor vechicle is damaged.                 I am holding Reliance Healthwise Policy number[protected] had paid yearly premium to my agent Shri H Rathod on 1st July'09 (Policy lapse date 6th July'09). The cheque was of HDFC bank, Mulund branch beraring a number 522546 dated 01/07/2009 for Rs.1121/=.

                In spite of repetative reminders to Reliance General Inusrance (RGI), the cheque is not yet presented to my Bank and still the whereabout of the cheque is not known.

                I contacted Customer Care Dept of RGI, where I was told to contact the Nariman Point branch (Code no. 1101) to know the status of the Cheque and the telephone number given to me was not in existence !!! WHAT A GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICES !!!

                With this complaint letter mail, I want to point out such a discrepancy in the services of RGI where the customer is unnecessary gets harassed and the Customer care department itself does not have full information about the prime branches of Reliance General Insurance.

                The same was registered at customer care services, but no response from them.My complaint number is 454102.

                Reliance General Insurance — Renewal of policy

                I am so frustated that will start while saying that Reliance General Insurance is a company. Never go for insurance from this company. They have never contacted me for the renewal of my policy and when I contact them, they don't have any information even about the IDV of the vehicle.


                Very irresponcible company full of touts and cheats.

                Never go for Reliance General Insurance.

                Reliance General Insurance — Withholding my money

                My car dealer got a car insured from Reliance General Insurance but the very next day I canceled the car booking. This was in 12th August 2010. Till this date I am waiting for the money to be refunded.

                I have tried to contact every possible person at Reliance and followed their escalation chain, they seem to have shut their eyes and ears for me. I have sent more than 10 emails to various people and more than 30 phone calls.

                  I took a Medical Policy in April 2007 with policy number[protected] through an agent Vinay Shukla in Andheri East Mumbai. This year in April 2009 the policy renewal was not done because there were no reminder or renewal notice to me. The agent told me that he was too busy to call or sent notice to me. What I couldn't believe was that company like Reliance General Insurance does not sent renewal notice or reminders to its customers.

                  I called up the call centre to confirm the same and I received the most disappointing answer "why did I not remember to renew my policy and it is not the responsibility of the company to either sent notices or reminders to its customer. The call centre person kept telling me that there is nothing as renewal notice etc. Something unbelievable.

                  Well, I made the mistake again and took the policy on 04/06/2009 and I received the policy the policy after 20 days and that too with wrong dependant details. So I called the call centre on 25/06/2009 to inform about the same and also to know the company's policy for sending the renewal notice. I think I was speaking with the dumbest call centre agent 'Gulshan' and he kept telling me that he cannot confirm to me if I will ever be sent a notice for renewal. I told him that 'I think I made a mistake of taking the policy again from Reliance' the answer I get is that 'its upto me as a customer to continue or cancel the policy'

                  I have had 3 instances that I dealt with some employees or agents of Reliance and what I have learnt from my interactions is as follows:

                  1. The company is not interested in customer service - they are only interested in sales and gathering money from retail customers. They are bothered with customer issues or complaints
                  2. The company is too big to listen to its customers - in all my interactions what I have realised is that Reliance is too big and you cannot complain or fight with them. They simply ignore you and ask you get lost. They will simply crush you apart.
                  3. The company will not deliver when required. I am sure if I need a claim the company will make some non sense excuses and will bring 10 legal clauses for not covering claims.

                  I have put this note to highlight the issues to all common people like me that its not necessary to trust companies like Reliance for customer service and delivery of promise or contract. They are too big to call or complaint. Beware Consumers and don't be taken for granted like the way I have been in the past.

                  We have had similar experience, they seem to delay and discontinue policy
                  periodically so that you will be treated as a fresh insurer and will not be elibible for
                  no claim and also continuity benifits. We have had the following defects in the
                  policy,

                  They are supposed to give previous policy details on the renewed policy which is not
                  mentioned, if so you are treated as a fresh insurer.

                  You may also find them putting wrong date of birth if mentioned in the policy not given by you!!

                    I had an Insurance of my vehicle Tata ace Reg. no-JKO2AG8702 From J&K. Reliance Cover note no[protected]. In the name o[censored]ttma Goswami w/o Ajay Goswami R/o 133/7 trikuta Nagar Jammu J&K.
                    Vehicle had an accident and complaint was booked under claim No-[protected]. All required formalties were completed and I was assured that payment will be released soon. Now it had been more than 3/4 months No information Yet. On Local branch inquery They can not give me specific answer.

                    I need to know how to get Reliance big boses for complaint or if there is any other way to tacle the situation.

                    Please help and advise.

                      I was handed over the cover note on 18th or 19th May after i agreed to pay the premium of Rs. 14, 000/- Never during the entire process i was told that the discounted premium comes at a cost of voluntary deduction clause totalling to Rs. 7, 500
                      I met with an accident on 15th June at Indore, MP (till this time the policy is not delivered to me and i am completely clueless that by taking this policy what mess have i entrenched in)
                      I called up the call centre for logging the claim but was informed by the agent named Ranjit that since systems are down so he cannot take my request and asked me to call back later (believe me this was only the beginning of what was to follow)
                      I had to call up one of the senior person at cal centre to help out. Only then i was called back by the same agent who registered the claim and also gave me the address of a local garage at Indore where i could get the car repaired (cashless i.e.)
                      I also called up the sales agent at 8.30 am on 15th June. The person assured me that once he gets in at his office he will make sure that the car is surveyed and the repair is done (cashless again). I spoke to this chap once again after 30- 40 minutes to check the progress. He said he is trying to get the details of someone in MP. After this, through out the day i kept chasing him for an update but the guy did not answer any of my calls.
                      At 10.00 am i reach the garage only to find out its a Huyndai showroom and they do not deal with Tata cars or spares. (oops). The Huyndai chap gives me the number of Gaurav Athawale (regional claims officer Reliance general insurance company at MP). I called him and on his advice i visited Krishu motors, Indore, who agreed to do the job. They took all the required documents and assured me that the job would be over by evening. I handed over the car to them and moved out thinking that the worst is over. All this while no one had told me that this is not going to be a cashless affair (forget cashless, i am not even entitled for a claim)
                      At apprx. 4.30 pm, 15th June, the local garage staff called me to come and see if the work done is upto my satisfaction. After reaching there, finally the bombshell is dropped that "Mr. Pathak the policy you have taken has a voluntary deduction clause of Rs. 7, 500. So please pay the money before you can take your car back". To say the least, I cannot describe it in words what i felt at that point in time.
                      All this while i kept calling the sales agent with no revert from his side. He only messaged me once in the afternoon stating he has been in and out of meetings so could not take my calls and will call back once he is free. (I still have that message in my inbox for verification if needed.)

                      Ever since then i am following up with the top brass of RGIC, but till date there is no concrete answer i have on the entire episode. I would not have taken the policy after knowing that with this clause the policy will cost me 21, 500 instead of 14, 000.
                      Please let me know what action can be taken in such a case against the company and its officials.

                          I have three cars all insured by reliance. I got attracted by low cost of their insurance. But i think the company makes it up by denying claims on flimsy grounds as i learn recently. I filed a claim with them for damge to the front and side of my car in an accident- claim no. [protected]. It is evident that the damage happened together. yet, the surveyor granted only the front damage as claim and refuses to pass the right side damage on the ground that he can identify some other scratches on the righ tside too in addition to the "big" dent. It is unfair that the company will not appoint a surveyor and the surveyor would refuse to come and explain in person to me the scietinfic and logical grounds of claim rejection. The company has no appeal mechanism and it is impossible to get heard in this company- U TAKE AN INSURANCE FROM THEM AND FORGET A CLAIM WILL BE PROCESSED PEACEFULLY AND AMICABLY. they look for flimsy reasons to deny claims and that the reason the POLICY IS CHEAPER WHEN U TAKE IT.

                          THINK TEN TIMES BEFORE TAKING RELIANCE GENERAL- its a company that dupes.

                                I had purchased a car LOGAN 1.5DLX from M/s Amit Auto Sales, FAIZABAD
                                (UP) on 14.01.2008 and cover note was issued for Rs.22829.00 and as per
                                policy I found that amount was shown as Rs.20318.00 thereby RELIANCE General Insurance
                                chargeds an *excess amount of Rs.2511.00.*
                                Further, I would like to record here that as per schedule of premium under
                                head -*B.Liability-premium for TPPD vehicles* was shown as *Rs.2500.00* where as in
                                case of car it should be *Rs. 800.00* thereby RELIANCE General Insurance had charged an excess amount of Rs. Rs. 1700.00.*
                                I had personally contacted Faizabad /Lucknow representative as well as on phone but no action was taken except verbal assurances.
                                In view of above, I request you to kindly take necessary action for enforcing to refund all excess amount along
                                with interest rates, with out further delay of . *excess amount of Rs.4211.00 with commercial interest* .

                                  I had made a claim in 20 OCTOBER 2008 about an accident of my Vehicle arn Rs.14000 according to the estimate . Claim No. [protected]
                                  after a month and half they send a Surveyor who had asked to submit all my documents Originals and a dupilcate copy of it, which i had submitted on 5th of December, after one month i enquired about the status i was given a Service Request No.48012, then i was asked to speak to Mr. Anil Solkar Or Mr. Imtihaz Malik @ Ghatkopar Branch Office, they said hey have no idea about it. After a month i spoke to Ms. Shruti on 16/01/09 Reliance Customercare Executive she said the case is under process, On 10/02/09 i had a chat with Ms.Shraddha RCE she said the same Under Process, On 20/03/09 I spoke to Ms.Pratima she made a Re-complaint : 253222 and said action will be taken within 48hrs,
                                  I waited for 11 days on 31/03/09 I spoke to Mr. Ranjit he gave another Complaint no.273378, still no action was taken on 11/04/09 I spoke to Ms.Pranali she asked me to speak to the Borivali Branch Office, when called Ms. Nimika said speak to the Surveyor Mr.Sameer [protected] he said the file is been sent to the Ghatkopar Office . when asked for the file the Ghatkopar Branch Office people dont have any idea about it, On 11/04/09 Mr. Ravikumar helped me lodge another request no.297217 ... Still no action When asked to Mr. Tushar Bhandarkar Ghatkopar Branch Executive he said do what you can its your wish...

                                  This is realy sad and Unsatisfactory that a well known Company i.e Reliance General Insurance has done to their Customers... Really Unsatisfactory :(

                                    I have logged my claim on 4th Nov. 08, my car was accident at NH 69 near Multai and it Insured with RGICL (Policy No. is [protected]), but till date there is no any reply from company, many times I am call regarding Claim and complaints status at Customer Care no. is[protected] they also not replied, then I had talk with Mr. Sameer Agre (Surveyor) and he told me that your claim has been closed due to LPG kit not endorse at Policy, if it is a reason for claim not settled then why should he not told me at the time of Survey when I am submitting all the docs like Registration Card, Policy and Police FIR. I also talk with Mr. Abhishekh Dwivedi Claim Manager Nagpur for same problem and request him to provide me Rejection or Claim Closing Letter but I didn’t got any response from him as a proof I provide my call details from Nov 08 to till date how many calls company accept from me I just want resolution of my Claim nothing more.

                                      I have submitted my claim form of my wife (due to her severe illness and I had to rush to the nearest hospital which is not network hospital) through my company's HR in December 2008, but still there is no any response.

                                      One day (on 29.01.2009 at 17:53:40) I called customer care help desk at[protected] and got response that "PHS needs the authority letter from the hospital to verify the documents" and the letter is issued from PHS Delhi office to our HR but still I didn't received any letter.

                                      Important Note: On website www.phmhealth.com and also the booklet provided didn't mentioned that PHS needs any authorisation letter to verify the hospital document. if they need to verify go directly to the hospital and verify it. I do not have any problem.

                                      Another thing also that your website does not contain any email address in contact us section. There is address, Phone number, Fax number only.

                                      He got operated with all screws in his bone such a bad situation for an old man alone in the city. You want us to inform.

                                      Claim amount is 1lakh.

                                      They are not giving the money back.
                                      This paramount company is doing nothing . We are filing a case on them this Monday via consumer court on hare. reliance is equally responsible for this.
