I am an agent of Reliance General Insurance Company Ltd. But my client have not received many of my policies and receipt from the company. I ahd made several demand through telephone and by email at RGICL's Guwahati Office and even in Head Office. They also charged excess premium in many of my clients Healthwise policies. Some of my client had received policies with a lower premium then they had paid in cheque. But the company not returned the same till today though the repeated demand had been made. So, I request you to please look into the matter for the greater interest of Clients.

Reliance General Insurance — Non payment of claim amount

Sir/Madam,

My name is Manoj Kumar, I claimed in April 2008 for damage of my two wheeler (Bajaj Pulsar 150 CC) having No. UP12N 3919 due to an accident in Meerut, UP in April-2008 with the submission of all necessary documents. Company had registered my claim application and gave me a Claim reference No. [protected]. First and final surveys have done by Sh. Rajeev Arora and Padmun Gupta in April and May - 2008 but no pay claim amount by the company till date, I am very hopeless/depress due to late in claim clearance. My policy Cover Note No. is [protected].

My name is Shashibal A pandey and my claim no is 4290455 for mediclaim in May 09.

The agreed claim amount is Rs 86000.

But even after submitting all document which was asked i have not recieved the claim.

If this is the speed for the claim disposal, what to tell.

Every time taliking to the 3rd party or claim department in Ahmedabad, we are getting assurance that the cheque will be send within a week time.

Reliance General Insurance Company Ltd. — Non-payment of claim for reimbursement of medical expenses

I am insured with reliance healthwise health insurance plan since year 2007.I had sent a claim on 16.08.2009 of Rs.31,575.99/- for reimbursement of expenses occured on post hspitalisation treatment of surgery for tubercular abcess which I had undergone on 3.06.09. After, some days when I contacted TPA(Medi Assist India) on phone it was informed to me that my claim has been approved by them, however, it has been sent to Reliance General Insurance Company ltd. for further approval since approved claim amount is more than Rs.30,000/-. On contacting the latter, it was told to me that my case is under investigation. I also got a complaint registered on company's helpline regarding delay in payment of claim amount. It was registered at No.784486. It is pertinent to mention that an official on behalf of company had met me for instigation purpose 2-3 months back
On 8.03.2010, I sent a notice to Reliance General Insurance Company and TPA to make payment against my claim within 15 days. No response/reply has been received.
It is therefore request to take action against Reliance General Insurance Company and Medi Assist, as they connived to withhold my claim for more than 7 months.

reliance general insurance co — Non payment of claim amount

Our claim for damages to car was processed/settled on 6 july 2010 but we have not rcvd the cheque for same even after one month. Tha claim no is [protected]. Whenever we call their customer servives division,. the std reply is cheque is under prepration.

    My Vehicle claim bearing claim no, [protected] is pending with Reliance General Insurance co. Ltd. since last 3+ months. Every time Pune office is giving false commitment on settlement.

    I have even given undertaking for approx. 40K as settlement amount against damage of 1.60 Lacs. Vehicle value (IDV) as per insurance comapny is 1.35 Lacs.

    Need your help to take up this matter as I am fed up with Reliance General Insurance officials.

    Reliance General Insurance — Car damage claim

    Dear Sir/ Madam
    i have claim pending in reliance general insurance regarding my car indica vista singe last one and half month.Initialy the surveyer and tata service centre delaer told me that the claim will be clear in 7 days.but now more than one month have passed and there is no progress in it.They are not respoding to my phone call and complain made in reliance company.Please help me on this.They have given me a claim no.[protected] and insurance was provided by tata motors

      Reliance General Insurance Co.Ltd. — Application of wrong rate (rate use for insurance of Bus) for insurance of my SUV

      Hello Everybody,

      I had three years back taken vehicle insurance policy from Reliance General Insurance Co. This was the first year I have taken out insurance policy for my SUV. The first years premium paid by me was about Rs.16,000/-. When I approached the Company for renewing my insurance policy for the second year, the Company asked me pay Rs.26,000/- towards premium. Upon my enquiring as to how the Company is asking me to pay more premium for the second year, I was told that they have quoted rate applicable to 'BUS'. Had there been my vehicle met with an accident during the first year, Company would have accepted my claim?

      I had lodged the complaint with IRDA and also sent e-mail to the Chairman of the Company Mr. Anil Ambani. I had received a phonecall from one of the officers from their Corporate Office.enquiring in what way I would like to settle the matter amicably? I informed him that the concerned employee/agent be removed from their office and I should be advised in wrilting of having taken action against the concerned person, and then only I will withdraw my complaint.

      However, I did not get any response from the Corporate office of the Company. Moreover, IRDA also advised me that my complaint stands closed. I had advised IRDA that my requirement is not fulfilled by Reliance Insurance Co, and till such time my complaint should not be closed. Till date I have not received any reply in the matter from IRDA.

        I (Sandeep Gupta) bought Comprehensive Car Insurance Policy (Policy # [protected], Cover Note #[protected] for my Car (Santro DLC AT 2453) from your company in July 2009 and I find a mistake in the policy sent to me and there is clear case of cheating either by the agent or by the company itself.
        I bought this policy from Mr. Tarun (Mob: [protected]) on 02 July 2009 who visited me personally to sell this policy.
        When I bought this Policy, I was given the IDV of Rs. 2,75,940/- By Mr. Tarun (including Rs. 4000/- for Body color bumpers as my car is XL model which comes with black bumper by default however I exchanged them with Body color bumper from the company at the time of purchasing this Car). Including everything (Insurance for Body color bumper) I issued him the cheque of Rs. 5813/- drawn on Axis Bank.
        Now here is the complaint:

        First It took long time to receive this Policy cover Note from you guys. I received it only in September 2009.
        Secondly (most Important) When I received the Cover note, The IDV mentioned was only Rs. 2,71,940/- and there was no mention whether the Body color bumpers are covered or not. Considering that company must be doing right thing and I will not be cheated like this, I did not take any action.
        Recently when I Tried to obtain the claim on my Car after accident, I was told that the body color bumpers are not covered and I will have to pay for the paint of bumpers, I was taken aback by this information and realized that I am cheated by one of the largest Organizations in India.
        My Car is under Repair right now with MGF Hyundai (PatparGangh, Delhi) and the Claim number is [protected]. It was assigned to Mr. Vineet Singh[protected] Mob: [protected] for survey which he has completed and approved most of the thing except Bumper paint since it was not covered in my policy by you guys.
        I have called your customer service yesterday and Spoke to a guy called Prasad who registered my complaint (Complaint # 1139195).
        I am attaching the Scanned copy of Proposal cum cover note given to me by your agent at the time of buying this Policy also the scanned copy of the cover note sent by the company to me.

        I request that this is taken on Priority and the IDV should be revised from the Policy start date and my claim should be processed accordingly ASAP as I need my car back ASAP. This is to inform that I am sending the hard copy and soft copy of the same Email to Insurance Ombudsman as well and will any route I have to get the claim which I deserve to get and if required will take the company to consumer court and will write about the same to every open forum, Facebook, orkut, twitter and every other open forum if the necessary action is not taken ASAP.

        These people has replied with the comment " We would like to inform you that, as it is a private car, we are unable to cover the bumpers".
        They are useless even after sending the scanned copy of the cover note given to me by their agent, they refused to entertain the same and you all know what kind of service you can expect from companies like that.

        Now I have also written a formal letter to them and asked them to reply in 10 days and if they dont reply positive, I will approach Insurance Ombudsman and consumer Court.

            sir,
            I anand kumar mohta insured under reliance healthwise policy no:[protected] have submited the claim form along with all hospitilization papers on 03/03/2010 to Mediassist India tpa service the tpa under my policy but till now my claim is not settled .During the period I have called to mediassist many- many times but every times I got responce that my claim is under process & there is no other query from my side. I would only like to say I have taken the policy from reliance because of thire brand image & such poor service rendered by tpa will ultimatlly hamper the image of Reliance General Insurance Co.

            Reliance General Insurance — Delay in Process of Claim

            I have insured my Bajaj Avenger Bike thru Reliance General Insurance Receipt Number[protected] Dt. 11.02.2008. My bike meat with an accident and i got my bike serviced by Bajaj Authorised Service Center. After that i lodged the claim for the payment made towards damages to service center in May'08.
            I was assured by them that the claim would be settled in next 7-8 working days but still any reponce from their side is awaited.
            I lodged complain on their telephon number[protected]my complain number is 470224 Dt. 16.07.08) regarding delay but no responce were given. Every time i called them they said the case is pending due to non submission of documents but no one told me what document is pending. I spoke to the surveyor of the company (who did survey for my bike and gave the estimate) & asked him for the documents i gave to him, He assured me that all the documents have been submitted to the company.
            I gave so many reminders too to them but nothing happened.
            Today again i called them but again the complain have been forwarded & the same reply been given that documents are pending and asked me today to submit all the documents again to their office.
            Please take neccessory action.
            Dear Sir,

            I got insurance of my Tavera bearing regn. No. HR-37-B-0801 insured vide your covernote No. 0877071 for the period 01.11.06 to 31.10.07 paying the cash premium to your agent code No. BAS 295268 for Rs. 14300/-. On 14.10.07, while I was coming from Meerut to Shahjahanpur, the vehicle met with an accident and the vehicle was brought to Shahjahanpur (my place of posting) and placed the vehicle for repair at M/s Super Auto Workshop, Shahjahanpur. The claim was registered vide your claim No. [protected]. Mr. J.B. Jauhari, surveyor of shahjahanpur has assessed the loss and has already submitted his report alongwith all the cash memos.

            In this regard, even after lapse of one year my claim has not been settled by you. I shall hereby request you to please settle my claim within 15 days from today, otherwise I will be forced to knock the door of court, for which your company will solely be responsible for all the expenses.

              I had received call in the month of Mar-2010 for reliance genereal insurance mediclaim policy and i was agreed to deduct apr amnt 7780/-.and same was deducted from my ICICI credit card in the month of Mar-2010 . I am really sorry to say that i have not yet received Policy. To my surprice none of representive of reliance general insurance mediclaim representative called me even after lodging complaint.I had complained 10 days back and complaint no is :

              Loss no 1.

              i could not avail tax benefit for which i had taken.

              till date i have not received the policy.

              Relaince general Insureance — Policy Not received yet

              Dear Concern,
              My self Partap Singh s/o sh Diwan Singh R/O 2-j / 73 N.I.T. Faridabad. I purchased a Bajaj Platina Motorcycle on 25-11-07 from ARORA Motors Ballabhgarh Faridabad.There i Get Insured by Relaince general Insureance i.e. i paid rs 876 for insureance policy for the same vehicle.payment Mode was cash. And the agent there named SANDEEP having code 537283 Provided me a COVER NOTE with serial number [protected]. But I havn't received the policy letter yet. a Few Days ago i communcated with company's cust care toll free number and place a complaint whose no is 477370 and the executive asked me to wait 24 hrs and With in 24 working hrs i'll get a revert from the company.but there is nothing like this. Then i communicate with Branches o[censored]r company in Faridabad and Gurgaon. Ther they refused that no policy has been issued against this cover note. Because the chaque provided by that agent was dishonoured. It is not my fault. I have paid cash. Mr sahil and Mr. manoj goyal refused to take any responsibility for theat cover note. If company is not responsible for that cover note thn why do ur company provide any cover note if not responsible.

              I want solution. If Relaince general Insureance can or cant solve this problem please give me a revert. I m waiting for your reply.

                the agent gave me the photocopy of policy not original and not even they sent me. in this 90 days i have charged 5 times for the not carrying original insurance documents. i have mailed and complaint about it 7 times they sent me 3 times policy according to company but i didn't received a single document.
                they first replied my mail on march 20th my request no was : 01031218.
                after that i received a mail again on 31st mach

                Express IT Courier — Insurance Documents missing

                Hello

                My Name is Guru Brahmam Kotha

                I did not get Insurance documents from Royal sundaram general Insurance AWB no : [protected] and also no one is not lifting the phone.
                Please update me in this regard.

                you people have been updated that the documents have been dispatched on 09/08/2008, but i did not recieve those

                these courier guys are making forgery Signatures on the Documents and informing to the Clients, The Documents have despatched

                in my case the courier company has updated on the documents they have visited my Company premices on 13/08/2008, 16/08/2008 and 19/08/2008 finally they (Courier Office ) got a call from Insurance Company and they have asked my signature acknoledgement.

                So the courier guys called to my mobile and they asked my aaddress where is this.

                i told them that you have visited three times to my company why are you asking my address?

                they have no answer

                please be ware of this type of courier offices.they are making forgery signatures and informing to the banks and insurance companies they have despatched the docs.

                  I HAVE PURCHASED A POLICY OF HEALTH WISE FAMILY MEDICLAIM ON 03.05.08

                  IN THE PREVAILING INSURANCE COVERAGE YEAR OF 2008-09, I HAD CLAIMED FOR A MINOR ACCIDENTAL CLAIM FOR MY DAUGHTER AMOUNTING TO APPROX RS.10K.

                  AT TIME OF RENEWAL ON 03.05.09 I WAS CHARGED WITH LOADING OF PREMIUM WHICH I ACCEPTED AND PAID. AND THE SAID INSURANCE COVERAGE PERIOD BETWEEN 2009-10, I HAD NOT CLAIMED ANY AMOUNT.

                    Subject : Policy no. [protected] & renewal cover note[protected] issued on 28th july 2008

                    Dear Sir,

                    This refer to our company car TATA Indigo DL-3C-AJ-8527 insured under Reliance insurance Policy no. [protected] for 6.8.07 to 5.8.08
                    and also having paid Rs. 13525/- for renewal of same policy vide your cover note[protected] issued on 28th July 2008..

                    It was surprising to note that after issuance of cover note and having paid the amount by Company cheque, Reliance did not renew the insurance.
                    Moreover, I was informed about not acceptance of renewal after one month of expiry of Car insurance.
                    Even after lot of my persuassion with the person issued cover note, no reason and explaination was found.

                    Car on road without any insurance is something not acceptable by traffic rule as well as by our company who is committed to the society and its employee using this Car for official cum personal purpose. So this issue is very serious for our company and all employees.

                    Reliance being also a private company was perceived as a committed company to deliver more value and care for the customer. But this proves wrong even after two years.

                    Towards this I would like have a written assurance from Company as well as a amount of Rs 1.7 Lacs (50% of insured amount) to be paid by reliance within 15 days of this email.
                    Otherwise I will be forced to take legal action.

                    We are hopeful with Reliance for having realise their guilty and willingness to pay penality inorder to confirm/ensure that such mistakes not to be repeated.

                      I have sent eight attachments,Discharge letter,Cash prenumbered paid receipts No.2784 for Rs.20,000/- and 2787 for Rs.3000/-,Detail Bill Summary,Medicines used in Hospital details,Admission sheet,Name Correction letter,Receipts of Original bills along with claim form at your office,Claim Form Submitted Twice.

                      All investigation reports supporting diagnosis and break up of lab charges and medicine charges against final bill were added in final receipts . The investigation and pathological tests were done in house of Ayushman Hospital.Hence they have not charged separate.
                      Medicines detail given to me time to time after conducting my Ulta sound of whole stomach and chest X-rays in house of Ayushman Hospital and diagnosed Hepatitis.

                      I was admitted in Ayushman Hospital &Trauma centre,hero Honda Chowk,NH-8,Gurgoan(Haryana) on 03/02/2010 at time 1.15P.M. due to stomach pain and problem was diagnosised Hepatitis.I contacted to your TPA Medi Assist India Pvt.Ltd. on his toll free no.[protected] so many times but TPA has not picked my phone. If TPA picked up the phone then i will take cashless treatment after approval by faxing my Ultra Sound of whole stomach Report and X-rays Report and other paper of Hepatitis diagnosed.

                      Now I have been waiting for my claim settlement since 11/02/2010 .

                      How long i wait for pending claim settlement.

                      Dear Mr.Rajender Pal,

                      Today is 24/04/2010 and i had submitted original documents in two phases to TPA office personally as TPA persons demanded and satisfied them on 11/02/2010 and 06/03/2010 personally and taken receipts for submitting original bills.

                      Now on 24/04/2010 you again demanded .After some more months again any new person come and he will further demand for bills.

                      Neither TPA picked up the phone when his customer availing hospitalization facility nor settle his claim after discharge by harassing customer to submitted bill again and again in three months gape by deputing new representative in every three month.
                      Ultimately customer harassed and left hope for claim payment.
                      I think TPA never settled any claim for payment simply harassed customer.

                      Consumer form is requested to handle the situation for fraud company with respected name Reliance Health Insurance as it cheat consumer.

                      I was admitted in Ayushman Hospital &Trauma centre,hero Honda Chowk,NH-8,Gurgoan(Haryana) on 03/02/2010 at time 1.15P.M. due to stomach pain and problem was diagnosised Hepatitis.I contacted to your TPA Medi Assist India Pvt.Ltd. on his toll free no.[protected] so many times but TPA has not picked my phone. If TPA picked up the phone then i will take cashless treatment after approval by faxing my Ultra Sound of whole stomach Report and X-rays Report and other paper of Hepatitis diagnosed.

                      Now I have been waiting for my claim settlement since 11/02/2010 .

                      How long i wait for pending claim settlement.

                              I know you are not right person to attain this complaint but i dont have other option because i am not getting satisfactory answer from those person who have to reply me on this matter:

                              1.) I have buy a mediclaim policy thought IVRS on 03-April-2010 & the policy no. is[protected]
                              2.) On 7th April when i check the softcopy of my policy than i found a mistake in this policy (In this policy you have mention wrong gender of son Mstr: Aayush Bhardwaj)
                              3) When chat with you executive he told me that i have to register my complaint though mail and then i have send a mail to Services.[protected]@relianceada.com on 07th April on the same day i recieved a mail from that id in which you have mentiond that escalated this matter to our concerned branch personal with complaint no[protected].
                              4.) in between i have log a another complaint (related to this matter) though phone[protected] & the complaint no. is 1087385 and your executive told me that this correstion is done only though branch so i have to contact nearest branch with the copy of this policy & date of Birth poof of my son.
                              5) on Saturday 10 April 2010 around 11:00AM i have visit to your coanught Place branch (2nd Floor Mercantile House, Kasturaba Gandhi Marg New Delhi) you can check the visitor registor of that branch. After waiting 1 hrs your executive told me i have to given a request letter from my side for this correction.
                              6) when i given a request letter than your executive told me that this correction is not done form here because this policy is issued directly from the head office name of that executive is Amit (Mobile No. [protected]) and he confirm me this change is done by evening. He is also given me assurance after this change he will call me or i can contact him on his mobile.
                              7) on saturday evening i am tring to call on this no but no attin my call
                              8) on Monday 12-April-2010 i finally decide to surrender this policy (Service Request No. Is 1096785) than i came to know i will get on 75% of the premium amount. But your Executive Mr. Aditya at the time of issing this policy told me if i surrender this policy within15 days than i will get the full amount.
                              9) i have also chat with you executive Mr. Bejon/ Ms. Neeta/ Ms. Mahalaxmi/ Mr. Sachin in this regard but did not get any satisfactor answer
                              10. ) I dont have any idea what i have to do know so i am sending this mail to all of to please check this mail and let me know what i have to do know

                              Sorry because i dont know who is the concern person who can help me on this matter, It is a very bad experiance for to buy a policy from you.

                              i am agree with Mr. Naresh please don't by any policy from reliance
                              hi.. guess what, i have been buying mediclaim policies worth 5 lakhs of sum assured since past 3 years from reliance. i claimed for approx 14000.00 and they are not settling my claim since over six months inspite of repeated complaints via phone and email. i am so frustrated with this company and their TPA mediassist... i am not buying any reliance product in my life!

                                i am a policy holder of reliance general insurance company . as on
                                dated a accident occur on my car on dated 17.03.2009 a claim was
                                registered with me on telephone , the customer care executive given me
                                the claim registration number [protected] . my policy number is

                                AS ON A SURVEYOUR MR. SANJEEV KUMAR came at site and told us , he is
                                surveyor deputed from company, after checking the vehical , he
                                demanded the money from workshop owner for pass the material which was
                                damage . my work shop owner refused to do so, then mr. sanjeev kumar
                                not inspected the damaged car nor any information was provided by him
                                , what will be repair cost and leave the site with given the threating
                                that they will see how cal you get the claim, in this matter i several
                                time given the intimation to the company to depute the senior or any
                                other surveyor . dut i am sorry to say that instead doing the right
                                procedure they not depute other surveyor and protecting him.
                                i request you take the necessary action against the surveyor sanjeev
                                kumar and the company . company is harassing me and my car is damaged
                                condition last 16 days. in this matter i already written to reliance general insurance companyt no response received from your side till date

                                  I have paid my car Insurance amount to renew my insurance to a Reliance General Insurance Agent, whose name is Ramesh Babu on December 25th 2009.

                                  I have not rteceived my policy yet irrespective of number of phone calls and messages from me.

                                  This is Pathetic service from the Reliance Agent, Ramesh babu when ever he answers my call, he tells there may be a delay in courier.

                                  I can not understand in Hyderabad whether any courier takes more than five months to deliver a consignment.

                                      My car was parked near Auto Exchange, Raipur(C.G) on 26/12/2009. Around 3:00pm a car thief broke opened the door, tried to stole away the car, luckly due to breaking up of Steering wheel lock he was unable to take away the vehical, thankfully the Hyundai service persons came, some how managed to start the car.I went to Service center filled all the details left the car. After repairing made payment and was told the cheque will come to home. Now after more than 3months Reliance General Insurance Company Ltd is giving absurd reasons. Kindly do the needful.
