    I have purchased a Royal enfield Thunder Bird Twinspark from their Ernakulam, Kerala showroom on early this year (Feb 2010).

    I have a very bad experience from their service team. My bikes self start is not functioning properly and I get an abnormal (chain like) sound but they are not ready to fix it and told me that it is its natural qualities. My friend also have the same kind of bike and he does not have this problems.

    Please advice me... where would I get a better service?

    Many royal enfield owners have complaints about their service...Hope somebody could suggest me a solution for this.

    Absolutely right.
    I have also very bad opinion about their service.
    I bought the same model in Mar 2009 it has oil leak problem and its not solved after giving my bike for nearly dozen time in 2yr i had file complaint without lawyer in Distric forum which was reject based on my signature on "job card' which have pre printing mentioning "I have received vehicle with satisfactory service"
    as i was not aware about the same they have used against me and proved that my intentions are wrong as i have already signed the job card.

    in short if you face the problem with your bike, be very specific about making a note on both the side of job card saying you still face the problem after earlier repair, and if the problem will discontinue after 200 to 300km you will give satisfaction note seperatly.

    collect all the zerox copy of Job card (both side) after you put the above note, ensure job card is properly filled and no space is blank, if it is than put a big cross so no amendment can be made afterwards by dealer.

    You have send all communication to dealer or Royal enfiled via Register Post with AD to company and file complain at Consumer Dispute Redressal Forum through lawyer of your region. with in 2yr of purchase of bike

    Royal Enfield — Poor Service

    I from ludhiana Punjab. My name is Mohit Talwar I Have purchased Royal Enfiled Classic barnala automobiles. 350 about 4 or 5 months ago,Last month on the date 04/06/11.
    i met with an accident and my bike have some serious damages i.e head light broken,Mud guard suffers,Gear Panel, handle rods, tiger eye injured etc. I ask here my dealer BARNALA AUTOMOBILES.they people do not have a mud guard of a bike.
    they people again and again tells me sir within a week you will receive your Mud guard and we will serviced your bike well . But i fails to understand what kind of service they people provides to the customer an mud guard not been managed by the company

    FROM SHAHILA EXPOSITIONS PVT LTD GUWAHATI ASSAM ON 05/10/2012 AFTER FOUR MONTHS OF BOOKING.
    JUST AFTER PURCHASING I FOUND THAT REAR MUDGUARD IS SCRATCHING BY THE TYRE AND THE TYRE HAS BEEN WEARED ON THE SIDEWALLS BY 2 CM AND MUDGUARDS PAINT HAS ALSO WEARED OFF AND CHANGED TO BROWN COLOUR IN A LARGE SCALE WHEN I ASKED TO SERVICE CENTER REGARDING MY PROBLEM AND TO CHANGE THE TYRE AND MUDGUARD AS ITS WRITTEN ON WARRANTY CONDITIONS THE DEALER JUST SAID THAT THEY CAN PAINT THE MUDGUARD AND COMPANY REPUTATION ALSO. I REQUESTED THEM BUT NO USE. THEN THEY CALL ME FOR PAINT ON THE SAME DAY. THEN THEY INFORMED ME THAT IT WILL TAKE TWO DAYS. AGAIN AND AGAIN I AM GOING TO SERVICE STATION TO JUST MY BIKE GET DONE. THEN I NOTICED THAT LEG GUARD PAINT IS TOTALLY STRIPPED OF ON THE BOTTOM SIDE, I HAD TO GO THREE TIMES JUST FOR PAINTING. AGAIN THE COMPANY IS JUST REPAINTED MY LEGGUARD AND THEIR REPUTATION. AFTER FIRST SERVICE WHILE I WAS CLEANING MY MACHINE I NOTICED THAT THERE IS NO SIGN OF ENGINE OIL AND THERE IS NO SIGN OF OIL LEAKAGE. IT MEANS THEY EVEN DINT REFILL IT WHILE FIRST SERVICE WAS BEING DONE. I AM TRYING TO CALL THEM BUT ALL CONTACT NO ARE SWITCHED OFF. I HAVE ALSO PICTURE OF OIL SIGHT GLASS. IT WAS MY DREAM TO HAVE ROYAL ENFIELD. BUT I AM FEELING REALLY EMBARRASSED AFTER PURCHASING THIS MACHINE. MY JOB IS BEING AFFECTED BECAUSE THIS POOR MACHINE AND POOR SERVICE BEING PROVIDED BY THE COMPANY. I WANT YOU SIR TO TAKE SOME NECESSARY ACTION AGAINST THE QUALITY STANDARDS BEING SHOWN BY THE ROYAL ENFIELD. AND I WANT THAT COMPANY TAKE SOME POSITIVE ACTION TOWARDS MY MACHINE. I KNOW ROYAL ENFIELD HAS GOOD SERVICE AND TECHNOLOGY KNOWLEDGE BUT THIS TIME I DONT KNOW WHY THEY ARE BEHAVING LIKE THIS.

    Myself Mohan krishna Bellamkonda. I own a Royal Enfield Desert Storm 500cc Classic model of 2013 make.

    My Bike gave me trouble on 22 of April, 2015 and I immediately called Just Dial to get authorised service centre Details. Then Legend Motors from pallavaram, Chennai called me and picked up my bike for service. I went today, April 27 - 2015, to pick my bike as i have got message from them that my bike is ready.

    When i went there around 7:05 PM in the evening, they took around one hour to let me clear the bill. I understood the situation and kept calm. After paying bill (15627 rupees - petrol pump replacement), I was waiting to test drive the vehicle.But they kept on delaying.I lost my patience and went to them and asked them to give me the key so that i can leave, as it was around 8:40 PM.

    Then they said they lost my bike key. Also they said that they are searching for it and will give me in few minutes. I waited till 9 PM, but they failed to find it. After half an hour they gave me a duplicate key and asked me to leave.

    I said that i will not leave with out having my original key.They pleased me and promise me that they will return my key in one day.

    Then I started the bike, still found crank shaft sound coming from engine. I clearly mentioned, while giving to service, that this sound is coming and please rectify it.But they doesn't seem to be even cared about that. When I insiste,
    they said that they will rectify it next time when i come for service.

    All this drama made me wait till 10:00 PM in their service center and left with lot of frustration.

    I am seriously questioning, how Royal enfield is still continuing dealer ship with legend motors. There are many complaints on them already circulating over forums in internet,

    I paid every single penny they charged me. But in return they lost my original key and gave me a duplicate key, because of which I am not able to lock the handle and is prone of theft. full of mental tension and sleep less.

    when i called them to report the issue that the duplicate key is not working to lock the handle, the person who gave me his personal number doesn't even pick the call.

    Please take some action.

      I would like to draw your attention on that I had purchased a Royal Enfield Electra bike from the dealer Shree Mahadev Agency Sector 10, Noida (U.P.) on 15 June 2009 since the day of purchasing I'm continuously facing problem in my bike , from the very first day of puchase fuel tank of my bike was defective that was change in First Service, secondly there is problem in shifting of gears (especially IInd gear) whenever my bike comes in IInd gear there is knocking sound raised in every servicing I pointed this point to service engineer but they are unable to resolve it .

      Servicing of my bike was also performed at your authorized service center at Shree Mahadev Agency, Noida (U.P.) details are as follows...Date of service KM Done Dealers Name

        Dear sir,

        The service of Cashmire sales , the only royale enfield dealer of pathankot is very poor . For this I want to submit u that i have purchased thunderbird twinspark , a month before through Cashmir sales the only dealer in pathankot while hardly i have used the bike i found the battery of this motorcycle getting discharged , when i checked the battery i found it slowly leaking , so i informed the dealer about that when he checked the battery they replied that they forget to do initial charge of the battery , so they suggested me to get it charged from outside which i did . After two days o[censored]sing the bike i again found the battery getting discharged and at the same time leaking and because of which it effected the bracket of battery as its colour came out because of Leaking sulphur . Again i informed the dealer , and deposited the battery which they say they took to Exide battery dealer. Now with there refrence they r saying that it just requires initial charge and denied to replace with a new battery and told me to try for one more time. As i already faced so much of trouble , so i insisted them to change the battery , but finally they told that the battery part has nothing to do with them , and told me to talk directly from the dealer of Exide battery. From last two weeks nothing was done in this subject and the battery was still with them . So finally i decided to move to consumer court .

        Dear sir,

        The service of Cashmire sales, the only royale enfield dealer of LUCKNOW badshahnagar is very poor . For this I want to submit u that i have purchased electra, in May 2010 Cashmir sales the only dealer in LUCKNOW while hardly i have used the bike i found the battery of this motorcycle getting discharged, when i checked the battery they found THE CELL IS WEEK, so i informed the dealer about that when he checked the battery they told me that there is one cell is very week, so they suggested me to get it changed. but they are not changing the BATTERY. for this i have to face the too much problems, my bike is not working and the dealier is tollrating me HE told me that i will replace it after 45 to 60 days, before this i will not replace it, just do you whatever you can, ego to the company to complane and remember its that the CO. also can't distory me, -I dont care about the company's rule& regulution, i will do as i wish..
        I think that the ROYAL ENFILD CO. is also not intersted for the customer service as promised in written.

          hi,

          i have purchased a Bullet Electra from Unique Motors aka Rahul Motors from Akurli road, Kandivali east. The dealer charged me a black sum of 6000 rs over the board price that is 98,0600. The dealer gave me the delivery on 31st January, 2010 and had promised me a helmet and front guards.

          however he had promised me the number and RTO papers with in 7 working days from the date of delivery. It has been 16 days he has not given me any numbers and relevant papers from the RTO. however he gave me the manual, the invoice dated 08th of Feb and the insurance cover note with some body else's signature and without companies seal.

          After reminding and following up with the dealer called Arun, who only says that the papers and number will come in some time there has been no movement but only dismay from my side.

          Please let me know if any legal or legitimate action can be taken against them.

            i have booked classic 350 on 25 november 2009 from marikar motors Trivandrum showroom by giving the booking amount of 10000 rupees .Today is 14 of feb.its been almost two and half months but i still haven't got the delivery.i called the person incharge there.they told me that the vehicle will be delivered on first week of february now they are telling that they will give the delivery on march first week.Am very disappointed .kindly do the needful actions..............................

            Average waiting time is now 6 months. Consider yourself lucky if you get one soon. Cant do anything about it. Apparently there is huge delay as the company didnt expect such a flood of bookings.

              Hello,
              I am sunil kumar, I have ordered for Bullet Classic 350 on 13th of December 2009 at New Delhi(India) and the dealer promised me that I will get the delivery with one month but now it is 31st of January and I am still waiting for possession. Can I have the details to which person I should get in touch with. I have talked to all the manager and they are saying that some of the machine part has been broken in the factory that why the delay occured.
              I hope I will get the proper response from you.

              Royal Enfield — not get possesion

              Hello,
              I am sunil kumar, I have ordered for Bullet Classic 350 on 13th of December 2009 at New Delhi(India) and the dealer promised me that I will get the delivery with one month but now it is 31st of January and I am still waiting for possession.               I have also booked on 17th Dec 09. I was promised delivery by 31-01-10. But now the dealer is saying it will be delayed further since there was some problem in the RE Production plant. The dealer took my email id last week and told me that I would receive mail from RE explaining the cause of delay and expected delivery. But till now I have not received any mail from RE and the dealer is not even giving any tentative date. On his promise of delivery withing a month I sold my old bike since I got a good price. Now I am in trouble. I have to use pathetic public transport of Mumbai and it costs me double what I was spending. I don't know what to do. If they don't give me any proper answer by the end of this month I am thinking of cancelling the booking. I will go for ZMA.I am finding it dificult to believe these guys since no body is giving any proper answer or reason. I don't know how long they will make me wait.

              I do agree with your frustrations... But RE is helpless at this moment. They didnot expect bookings at this rate. Daily they are getting around 300 bikes booked all over India and the plant is capable of manufacturing only 124 bikes per day. You got to wait. Bangalore has a waiting period of more than 4 months.
              Well I had booked it in the month of November 2009 and have not yet received the bike.
              I feel the unit is not yet prepared to handel these bikes.
              If it is taking so long for the production, think of the spare parts you need to procure after buying this bike...

              Yeah Guys, its really frustrating. I had booked the classic 350 on the 5th of Dec at the RE showroom Bandra, Mumbai and was told that it will be delivered in 2 months. Everytime I call them up with regard to the status of delivery, it gets posponed by 10 days. Last week when I called them up they said that I should get the bike by March 15...now I dread to call them...in my next call it might get postponed to March end...u never know.
              I have booked RE 350 Classic in the month of September 2009, but Still I am getting the same answers from the delaers, Pl give me exact date when will delivery of the vehicle starts, This is really Embrassing
              Waiting a Customer for such a long time really does not meet Customer Satisfaction.

              Me to have the same problem. I had booked RE classic350 and there is no response from the dealer. they don't even mind to call me and tell the matter, we should call them for any inquiry. as i call they are extending the period of delivery.
              hi i booked my thunderbird on 20th jan...i asked for instant delivery but they told to wait for a week... but stil that week didnt finish...my friends who booked car got it, , who booked other bikes got instant delivery but the legend bullet didnt come...i lost some 2 liters of petrol and around 20hrs lost till now...the dealer doesnt..they speak like a politicianss...we are trying, , you speak to this guy that guy, , , , , anybody knows any showroom where we get bullet instant delivery in and around bangalore...i am really really loosing hope and interest on royal enfield
              I called the showroom today and they said the waiting period for the classic was 6 months!!! :( Now i'm definitely considering getting another bike.
              same story guys... dunno what to du... booked in november at the bandra dealer... says its in transit will get it registered and delivered in 8-10 days (hopefully)
              Even i am not getting my Bullet classic 500cc, booked it in jan and got a 60 day waiting period for the bike, but now everytime i call in i get a new date, aleast 2 weeks for my day of calling. talked to Royal enfield north region sales manager and he starts with his story of supply and demand. i dont care if royal enfield is having issues in production or fire in thier production plant. what i know is i am playing rs1.5L for this bike and still not getting it on time is their any way we could sue royal enfield for doing this to its customers. Managers also says that bike is bike on first come first serve bases but i have seen many posts on website of royal enfield for people getting bikes way before their promised date.
              same here...even i booked my bike on january...but now its june and still i dint get any response from the dealers...its really bad...
              Guys good news...finally the dealers called me up after 6 months and 10 days of waiting...They told me bike will be definitely be delivered without fail...after 1 more month...We will try our best to deliver...Royal Enfield is not " Royal " any more...any suggestions...?
              when will the booking of bullet classic 350cc starts ???

              TAPPET NOISE

              There is an any fix for tappet noise. RE services center didn't fix the issue. Every time they will say noise will reduce automatically.

                Upon reading the information available on the internet on the Royal Enfield official website I booked a Royal Enfield Classic 500 CC bike by paying a cash advance of Rs 20000/-.
                The website promised a waiting period of 45 days.
                When booking the bike I was told by the dealer that the waiting period could be extended upto 2 months.

                Now when I called the dealer DHONE AUTOMOBILES i was told that the waiting period is of 3 months. I am going to pay 1.5Lakhs for the bike and this is what thay are telling me.

                Can someone help me please.

                i have booked classic 350 on 18 november 2009 from bandra showroom by giving the booking amount of 10000 by cheque.today is 12 of feb.its been almost 3 months but i still haven't got the delivery.i called the person incharge there.they told me that the vehicle will be delivered on first week of february now they are telling that they will give the delivery on 15th of march.they are also ready to give my cheque back but what i want is my vehicle.kindly do the needful.
                I have faced the same problem. While booking the bike at the dealer they confirmed that the delivery will be made within 45 days of booking. I paid the token money on 11th of Dec, whenever i call the dealer they give a new waiting period, i had talks with the Maharashtra and Goa Sale Manager Mr.Rajesh he had confirmed me that the delivery would me made by the end of Feb-2010 but when i called him later he said it is not possible for them to delivery the even in march.
                I am really dissapointed with ROYAL ENFIELD team at chennai and my dealer(ESS AAR MOTORS, NEW DELHI).i booked a CLASSIC 500 on 25th jan, 2010 paying Rs 10000/ cash and was assured to be delivered within maximum of 60 days delivery time.however upon checking the status, i was told it would take another 4 months time and they weren't sure either.above all i was never told about the extended time period until i enquired myself.i am sorry to say that your production team, marketing and dealers are not synchronised.i really hope you take some action asap!!!
                i have waited for 5 months for the classic 350 and still noting, is it possible to claim a compensation for the ordeal.

                I booked by paying Rs. 10, 000 for my Classic 500 (black) on December 8th 2009 and its now more than 90 days and i still havent recieved delivery. Everytime I enquire with the dealer, all I get is, "Sir, I am sorry, we are having production delays and we dont know when we can make delivery". This is truly frustrating and I am seriously re-considering about it. I am pretty sure that there have already been a lot of customers who have cancelled their bookings because of this delay.

                Can someone please provide more clarity on the situation and let me know for sure when delivery can be expected?
                yes, it's truly said that royal enfield management team has some problem in coordinating with customers.
                I think they had not forecasted well and hasn't prepared any pre expansion plan for their production capacity at chennai. I also want to buy royal enfield 350 and i had talk with dealer at dehradun and delhi (rohini), they told that booking is closed for atleast i month. They can't do anything.

                This is to put forward my case of psychological stress and mental trauma faced by booking a Royal Enfield Classic 500.

                BACKGROUND:
                I am a die-hard fan of Royal Enfiled motorcycles and proud owner of a Machismo 350. .
                I love to tour on my Machismo and even the Royal Enfield official website has acknowledged the fact by publishing my photographs in the "Picture of the week" section, several times.

                CASE:
                I had been eagerly waiting for the launch of Classic 500 in India, since its introduction in the International market.
                After the launch, as soon as i could manage to arrange for the finances, i went ahead and booked a Classic 500 and put my machismo on sale.

                FACTS:

                Booking Date: 8th of December 2009
                Booking amount: Rs Ten thousand only.
                Booking for: Royal Enfield CLASSIC 500
                Booking at: Royal Enfield Brand Store, Bangalore.

                On-Road Price at the time of booking: Rs 1, 43, 000. (+ - Rs.500)

                Promised delivery date: 8th of February, 2010.

                Since the day of booking, i have been eagerly waiting for the bike and have been regularly following it up with the Brand Store.
                I got a letter from the Royal Enfiled Brand store (dated: 9th March 2010) stating that i would positively receive the bike by the 4th week of March.

                Today is 8th of April, and still there is no news on the bike.
                THE ISSUE:

                At the Brand Store, i was also told that the Price of the Bike has increased as a result of the union budget, and i would have to pay the increased price for the bike, when it is delivered.

                Now, why should i pay the extra amount for the delay caused by the compnay? Or is it the price one has to pay for being passionate ?

                I booked the bike with initial booking amount, and was given delivery date of 8th Febroary, 2010. ( before the union budget)

                Its not my fault that Royal Enfield company did not deliver the bike on the promised delivery date, ( and still there is no surety of a delivery date), and in the mean while the new budget has increased the price of the bike, and finally i, the customer has to bear the extra cost. Is this my fault ?

                If this was mentioned during the time of booking I would have prepared myself for this.

                The last 4 months of waiting for the bike, without any realistic delivery date, has given me enough mental tension and trauma, and on top of that, now i am also expected to pay a much higher price of for the bike.

                I would request someone to look in to this matter, and take some appropriate action, before people like me get dissapointed and loose the Passion towards the Royal Enfield Motorcycles.

                Same here. I wanted a new Electra Twinspark. But knowing about these complaints has made me think twice about booking the bike. I was told it would take 2 months but after getting all the knowledge I feel its justa play to get the customer hooked.

                Lets be honest, the bike is great, I already own a Bullet 350 but this attitude of Eicher Motors sucks big time. They are taking the customer on a ride in a time when the customer is the king. One who is willing to pay over Rs. 1 lakh for a bike can also go for others...

                Royal Enfield — Problem with the Two Wheeler

                The Bike is 8 months old, but after 6 months there is a problem with the vehicle. It does not move smoothly, the same was communicated to the vendor but he is unable to solve my problem. Whenever i take the vehicle to him he rectifies it which works properly only for a few hours. After i get back the vehicle from the service centre the same problem persists. Request you to solve the issue.

                Hi all. my name is Guru. I booked my Royal enfield Thunderbird black, on July 3rd 2010. When i made the booking the they said me my booking period is 4 months. So its suppose to be delivered in November 1st or 3rd. But, when i asked the sales man of the royal enfield showroom, who took my booking, he says the booking period is 5 months for me. and i may get the vehicle in december.
                This is atrrocious. I am great lover of royal enfield bikes and i have a passion owning a Thunderbird. I booked the bike with great excitement and was wating for november. But now i am really, greatly frustrated, and lost respect on royal enfield company. I feel like they r wantedly delaying. I am upset by the delay time being extended for me. No good response from the show room dealers too. A vehicle can have a delay period of some days. not months. even cars doesn take this much time.

                Please help me get the bike soon. I want to have it this deepavali. Please help me.

                but i feel its worth waiting...by the way i was also informed that RE is increasing their staf[censored]pto 20% to get the waiting period down...and they are planning couple of new manufacturing plants...
                just an FYI...when classic model were rolled out RE expected 200 bookings per month and now its gone upto 6, 500 per month thats one of the reasons for the delay...for all the RE fans and people who are waiting for the vehicle dont loose your patience, RE is worth waiting as they say Don't compare RE with cars or bikes because its a 'BULLET'

                Really I just don't understand the mentality of these people, An RE lasts a life time that too on highways and you guys can't wait for few months, If you are in such a hurry go buy a Plastic Jap-Craps, which Burnout before you could even reach the highways let alone survive one. Promise you, 15-20 years from now you will never even remember the name of that Crap-bike again.

                I booked my 500 in Nov 2010 knowing that it had a 10 month waiting period. what the heck I don't mind even if they take another year builing it. Till then I have my Dad's STD 350 to keep me Thumping.
                I bought the same model in Mar 2009 it has oil leak problem and its not solved after giving my bike for nearly dozen time in 2yr i had file complaint without lawyer in Distric forum which was reject based on my signature on "job card' which have pre printing mentioning "I have received vehicle with satisfactory service"
                as i was not aware about the same they have used against me and proved that my intentions are wrong as i have already signed the job card.

                in short if you face the problem with your bike, be very specific about making a note on both the side of job card saying you still face the problem after earlier repair, and if the problem will discontinue after 200 to 300km you will give satisfaction note seperatly.

                collect all the zerox copy of Job card (both side) after you put the above note, ensure job card is properly filled and no space is blank, if it is than put a big cross so no amendment can be made afterwards by dealer.

                You have send all communication to dealer or Royal enfiled via Register Post with AD to company and file complain at Consumer Dispute Redressal Forum through lawyer of your region. with in 2yr of purchase of bike

                I Booked a RE Classic 350 in January 2011, and this is the 4th month, if RE is unable to deliver vehicles why are they taking order they should take order and stop booking if they are not able to deliver it in time, i guess max waiting time could be 3 months and you need a lot of patience to wait for 8-10 months.
                I am loosing interest on Bullets just because of waiting period.
                Its been 6 months I booked my Royal Enfield Classic 350. The dealership had promised me last month that it will deliver the vehicle by the end of this month. Now they say that it will not be possible for at least 2 months. I was told last month that there are 51 customers lined up before me, and now the number is 46. what makes me wonder is why is RE not gearing up to meet the customer demands? I have no faith or passion for the japanese bikes... those are for kids no doubt, however they atleast understand the growing demand and bring in new strategies to take control of the situation. I understand there cant be a drastic change but at least it should not take 3+ yrs for Eicher Motors to understand the gravity of the situation. If the Bike is becoming popular among the crowd from unexpected qaurters then they should have something in place to maintain the same demand. Its rather making us frustrated.

                Dear RE Fans and Followers, I have my own dirtiest experience with RE. Every RE owner and prospect, please go thru this. When i was 14 yrs i rode my uncle's Bullet STD, from that day i dreamt of owning one RE for me. In my college day i almost bought an used RE but some how bought a splendor as my first bike. After education started working for a sofware firm, decided to buy an RE. But some way or the other due to finance probs, personal probs and other commitment, owning an RE was left a dream for 5 more years. I got married, got a flat, got car too. When my wife learnt about my passion towards RE she persuaded me to book a RE and we both went to RE showroom in Bangalore and paid 10K as advance for TB twinspark on May 2010, i have been said the waiting time is 45-60 days.
                As usual i faced with the delays and postponing of the delivery date and letters from RE explaining the delay etc etc...
                One fine morning on October 22nd i completely lost my patinence and went to RE and wanted a final say about the delivery they said they cannot promise the D date and if i wish they will give back my advance money. They also said that there were customers who have paid full payment and waiting for the bike for months. God save those guys!!! Atlast i opted for taking back my advance. i got the cheque next week to my home.

                Some how i cant able to digest or forget this experience. When ever i and my wife go out, i used to talk about RE when ever we see some one riding a TBird.

                one fine morning on my Birthday on December 15th my wife gave me the surprise for a life time to cherish.
                she gave the key of a brand new silver color TBird.

                I was shocked how she managed and what i got to know was the horrific stab for every prospective customer waiting anxiously for their REs to get delivered.

                My wife got the Thunderbird by paying the full amount + **********(12K extra as commision)********

                Is not it cruel enough... i got a TB which is scheduled to be delivered to some one...

                I thought of disowning the Tb gifted to me but i dont want my wife to get hurt and kept the TB with me.

                Now all the people please know there is a nexus operating and cashing in the passion of the Customers'...
                Dont know how will it be tackled...Just wanted to share my experience...

                More importantly...every customer, whose delivery date is skipped or postponed...the fact is your bike is getting delivered to some other who is paying an extra premium...
                Passion is passion. I agree that there might be delays but that might be through your local agencies or dealers who might be the culprits to extend your delivery dates and might have a million excuses for the same. If you are buying a Royal Enfield then you should have enough influence to own your bike way before your Delivery date. Well Im waiting for my finance arrangement once it is done no stopping i can manage to get the bike delivered within a month without paying bribes or commissions. For rest either try to find a way to pressurise your dealers by influence or pay commissions or wait in que.
                I have booked a Royal Enfield Classic 350 6 months back, they told me the waiting period is 10 months in Bangalore.I agreed on that but 2 days back one of my friend booked a Classic 350 and the delivery is with in a week and reason is he got influenced people from Royal Enfield behind it. Do u guys think is this fair, that we should wait for 10 months.I Don't think ...

                I am a die hard fan of RE, owns a RE Bullet 350 and desperate to buy Classic 500. But after going through the (blogs/forums) booking procedures i don't know if i book it today when will i get it delivered (maybe 7 months). I know its not the mistake of the showroom agencies.At Least the manufacturers can increase the production to meet the requirements of the people If the manufactureres are reading these comments. please take some measures to fulfill the demands.

                I bought a Bullet Classic350 in Fab-3- 2010 from Lamba Enterprises pvt Ltd, and I suggested to My Boss to buy Classic 500cc bike its really good bike. we booked that bike and have got this day[protected].Bike number is DL-3S-BP-9679. problem is that we did not get Registration Certificate I continuously follow up but no luck. Permanently no action has been taken till now they are ignoring it continuously. So you are requested to kindly solve my problem at the earliest.

                I am Samiulla. My order booking no is 7122 dated 12.08.11. chennai.

                I have booked Thunder bird vehicle in Adyar brand store.

                9.1.12 When I approached your store they asked me to pay full money and within Jan’12 will provide the vehicle.

                The same day I paid cheque for full value. the value is XXX rupees and I have already paid 1000 for booking.

                On 11.1.12 the cheque has got clearance from my icici account.

                I got a call on 19th from the store stating that to pay additional 6000 rupees. :-(

                Now where I will go for additional 6000 rupees..

                I am amazed to the kind of treating customer. I am a sales person from service industry and I know how to keep my customers in my hand.

                1.At list when I paid full money that day itself somebody could inform about the price hike. No communication thru e mail or phone. Poor service. Since you have got the good riding machine this is not a way to behave with the customers.
                2.If you do not have the vehicle to bill then why should you guys are insisting to pay the full money.
                3.After paying full settlement the customer has to wait one month ….what is this…Since the market demand is high I know you guys will not provide me the answer.

                When I approached the store the answers are lethargic…they are saying if you want a vehicle just pay the additional money!!! Amazing!!.

                The beauty is till today I am not aware when I can get the vehicle….

                People who have booked the Classic 350, the waiting period is 10-12 months. If your dealer tells you otherwise, her's you.
                For the Classic 500 or any other 500CC RE, the waiting period is 6-7 months.

                people are getting crazy about Bullet, but i think this dealer are keeping Bikes in there warehouse and charging more money then actual price for On the spot bike .. within 1 week ... like those who don't want to wait for 3-4 month they can give 30k-40k extra and take bike immediately. else wait till ur number coming ...

                same is the case for me. I booked a RE himalayan in april start. The dealer said that i can definitely expect the bike by 1st week of may. when i called up in may start, they said that it may take a week or 2 more. I hadn't looked for the waiting time on my booking receipt until now (i know my mistake), but when i did it was written as 2 months (i was shocked). I called them again today, and now they are saying that waiting period will be 2 more months (that means a total of 3 months and a week). What's wrong with RE guys ?!? When will stop creating this false demand?

                  I have purchased Classic500 on 26.11.2009 from Kolkata Bike Zone and till date there are lots of problems in riding.

                  Lots of Defects:
                  1) Front fork defect (Loud noise)
                  2) Spark Plug Black
                  3) Black Smoke from exaust pipe
                  4) Paint defect
                  5) Bike knocks while in slow speed
                  6) Excelator cable defective
                  7) adjustment problem


                  The bike is totaly unpredictable.(born itself for complaints RE )

                  i brought a RE 350 classic 2016 MODEL ON JULY 11 . first i heard a noise form swing arm and the mechanic of re changed the swing arm bush. the second time the swing arm bolt cut they also replace the bolt .now three times i replace the bolt and two times i replace the swing arm bush and now engine making tik tik noise from tappet . RE please help i spend lot money on this problem

                    I am the proud owner of bullet Electra 350 from Feb. 08 onwards. My vehicle purchased from M/s BLUE MOUNTAIN auto agencies, cherooty road, Calicut. I paid Rs.93000/- inclusive all. I have much expectation on my vehicle but from the beginning itself the vehicle showing fork complaint. This complaint reported to your dealer for several times, but they cannot resolve this problem till date. I approached the dealer on 23/08/09 and 13/11/09 regarding this complaint but they are not resolving this problem. Whenever I approached them they got a clean answer that no stock for sparers. As per their opinion my vehicle showing complaint on fork BOLT TRACER. And these spares should replace. But whenever I approached them I got answer that NO STOCK or ORIGINAL SPARE NOT AVAILABLE. Sir, I need a permanent solution for my beloved vehicle. If you cannot resolve this issue I will be compelled to do for the further legal proceedings. Recently I received lot of enquiries for bullet Electra, if the things like this how can I recommend for this vehicle, Kindly advice?

                    I own a Mac350AVL 2008 model, when I bought this bike even I face some issues like you ... I would register a FORMAL COMPALINT at their website stating your problem...I am sure they will revert and screw the dealer's happiness and DO NOT FORGET to put a note that if your machines cannot work properly GIVE MY MONEY BACK WITH INTREST...this is going to work for sure and you will get rid of pain in vain.

                    As i own a ThunderBird Tiwn Spark - Model - 2009 / Reg No.TN-18-A-6169. I Given my vehichle to your service center name : Southern Motor in Anna Nagar. Ur service person took three days to complete the service & charges comes around Rs.386 Vide Inv No.7585 / Dt: 07.09.2011. After lots of arguments i paid the service charges and came out from the Worlds worst service center.. Ur manager & Service person are agruing with that the vehichle is clean like this only.. Still iam facing the same issue Engine Noise, Jerking, Stroking. Who ever owining a bullet my humble request to them that donot visit the anna nagar service station.. Kindly take some necessary action or else i have to move to Consumer Court with ur service issue.

                    I have purchased Royal Enfield motorcycle Electra 5SESDB from Paragon Traders, Dealer of Royal Enfield at Nagpur on 24/06/2014.
                    Since the purchase of the vehicle I am continuously complaining about a loud, strange &amp; irregular &amp; recurring noise from engine of my motorcycle. For resolving my issue I have visited the showroom not less than 7 times in a year’s time. But till date no solution is given to me. I am requesting n no of times to service manager Mr. Ajay Salodkar of the showroom but he is avoiding the issue.
                    Lastly I have mailed to Royal Enfield Customer Care &amp; also called up Territory Service Manager of Royal Enfield Mr. Anup Zode, but I am surprised to get answer from TSM of a company, he said I am not the right person to give you one stop solution &amp; nor I can give you my senior’s number as per your request. As you got my no, get it from company by mail.
                    What to do with such kind of answers from executives? What when my vehicle will be out of warranty, if this is the behavior of service people in warranty…I have paid 128849 Rs for a bike &amp; minimum Rs 20000 for local transport when my vehicle used to be in showroom for repairing, , I am feeling like harassed by Royal Enfield.
                    Please provide me final solution or refund my entire money along with local transport cost I have incurred during the year.

                      Sir, I have purchased Machismo - 500 on 19 Sep 09, and till date (29 Oct 09) my vehicle is not registered with RTO (Pen). Whenever, I approach Enfield Showroom, Nerul, Navi mumbai, They dont have time to talk and explain the situtaion to customer. This is the worst customer experience i ever had in my life. I brought the same to Region Manager, navi Mumbai, but he is also not responding well. in view of the above request register a complaint against Royal Enfield Showroom, Nerul, Navi Mumbai and take necessary actions for not to refer in future with any customer

                      I put down a deposit of 10, 000 rupees each for two Royal Enfield Classic 500s. On my receipt it was written that I would receive the bikes within 30-45 days. The company failed to deliver. When challenged, they evaded answering direct questions and only under pressure admitted that the only reason for their failure to honour their contract was that they have over committed themselves. The assumption that I (and 25 other customers to date at the same Pune dealer) should be happy to just wait is unquestioned by Royal Enfield. They should be ashamed of their dealings which are not only irresponsible, but also illegal. It is not only the dealer at fault, it is the whole ethos of the company which has failed to institute ethical business practice.
                      This must be brought to consumer forum and a big compensation should be made to these sellers. I am too suffering with the same situation. This is not good for such a royal brand.
                      My name is Ratheesh Kumar and I am using classic 350 new model. I purchased my classic on 04.11.2011. And I am not having a good experience with that bike. I found many problems on my bike. My first experience was with the chain, that the chain damaged and you people replaced it. Second one with the carbarator(missing), and they changed the piston valve and the problem cleared. Third one with front disk brake, there is a bend on the disk and after many complaints that also replaced yesterday. Forth one with the petrol tank door, and the mechanic people said that full key set have to change and they changed the full keyset. Now the problem with the wiring, last month exactly on 18.11.2011 friday night when I was riding my classic, it stopped on the road and i cannot start the bike. I called the servicing center and next day they sent one mechanic to my house. He checked the vehicle and said the fuse got fired. He replaced the fuse for me and the very same day (on 19.11.2011) evening again my bike stopped. Problem was the fuse. This time I kept my vehicle on someone's house very near to the place where it stopped. Next day (sunday 20.11.2011) the mechanic came and managed to take the vehicle from there and take it to workshop. After three days i got my vehicle back and they said the problem was cleared. After two days (25.11.2011) it again stopped that also at night time(that means the problem not cleared). Again the mechanic came and he took the vehicle to the workshop. He is saying that the proble was related to some short circuit. From that day my bike is ther in the workshop. Yesterday they replaced front disk brake and tomorrow they will able to give my vehicle. I dont think that the short circuit problem cleared. I spent a lot of money to purchase my new classic. I want to know you people can help me or not ?. One Royal Enfield was my ambition and now I am fed up with the same. I will give you my vehicle details.

                      I am suffering from the same issues as Mr. Ratheesh Kumar. I purchased my bike from Royal Rhino Inc, Baroda on 31st August 2011. Now my bike is lying at the workshop since last 4 days and they want to open my engine as there some default in the engine itself.

                      I have been complaining to the customer services since last 4 months, about the Royal Rhino Inc workshop inefficiency, unacceptable behavior but nothing has been done from the company's end.

                      Please i want to register a legal complain and file a case against the company as i suppose there is a manufacturing defect in my bike and even they are not sharing on paper that whts the problem. I demand a replacement and they are not willing to guide me on the procedure.

                      To have a Royal Enfield was a dream but now it feels like a nightmare. I am not able to share engine number and other details as my book is with them at the workshop.
                      I have purchased a royal enfield thunderbird motorcycle 3 years back my bike no. is dl9sab0754 on the name of Jameer khan . You know why people want to buy this bike because it is a strong bike . When I buy this bike there is no problem, in last three years I had drive it only 5400 kms . You know this is not a bike this is a problem bike, after one year a part of engine is broken, next the bearing of self is broken, when the mechanic open the bearing it falls like it is made up of glass . In last three years I have spend Rs. 30, 000 on this bike, i had purchased it for Rs. 100000. I am a customer and I have full right to ask what is this happening with the bikes these same problems have been faced by other people also 4 people I know who are facing these same problems . Now I am not able to find the self start bearing, can you replace the bearing for me or I have to take strict action against the company, I am not going to leave the company because this codition of my bike hurts me alot .

I'm observing peculiar sounds and informed the same to the showroom guys, the service guys the way they speak is very sad. They really dont know how to talk to a customer. one of the service guy said to file complaint to consumer court and nothing would happen to them. this is how the vizag showroom is. guys. beware.
                      I have purchased a royal enfield bullet 500cc Desert Storm 6 months ago. I observed that there is a leak from head and i informed the same to the showroom service team at the time of second service, they said that cleared and it happen again. Now its again under repair in your service station(Cochin). I heard its your manufacturing defect for this model, If its happen again what i have to do.                       Kings Auto Riders service center Pune is a shame on the Royal Enfield name. i have given them my vehicle for more than 15 days now and they are mentally unable to fix it. They behave like they have been servicing TVS scooty all there life and now after getting some money(as pune ppl are getting by selling there lands) they have bought the dealership. Never ever allow them to even touch your bike. they don't deserve it. bunch of losers. if royal enfield can read this than they should take their name off immediately from Kings Autoriders Baner Pune.
                      My Name is Paul Alexandar I purchased the Royal Enfield Thunderbird Twins Spark on sep 21 2012 in Chennai Adyar after a month i was taken my vehicle to service in Sri Kalikambal Motors vellore on oct 04 2012 I paid RS 1050 for engine oil and oil filter but within one month im facing problem in the clutch so i taken the vehicle to Chennai kottivakkam showroom on November14 2012 they removed the clutch plate and they said there is no engine oil because of that the clutch plate and the pressure plate has been burnt . Sri Kalikambal Motors Vellore this showroom was cheating the customers they putting the bill but they not changing the oil . Since i drive only 800 kms after service now I’m going to pay nearly 2750 for the spares because of their irresponsibility in the service.

                      hai paul the same thing happened to me too i took my re 350 in the tambaram service centre to change oil but they returned me the bike without changing the oil i doubted it as the bike came out of the service centre quite fast (generally they take around 5 hrs to change oil!!!)luckily i found out about this before starting. when i asked about this they where unapologetic.
                      Sonal Motors Thane are the worst service providers in Thane, any thing you ask them they say ask our Bhandup office, Then why has Royal Enfield given them Thane Branch to only Save Actroi and to do Actroi Theft and TAX Theft. Customers are suffering . The staff there is horrible it is little lesser than road side mechanic and Royal Enfield Executives are hand in hand with Sonal Motors. Dealers like Sonal Motors help in decline the brand and its popularity. Royal enfield should think twice while helping them in actroi and tax invasion and think again to close the showroom if service is not given for thane citizens.

                            Hi,
                            My name is Rohit Hariharan.
                            I have booked a a Royal Enfield Std 350 on 23/0028/2009 with payment by Cash+cheque.
                            The payment details include 52,000 cash and the 30,000 cheque(which cleared on 26/08/2009)
                            This was done at your Company Showroom (Nerul- Sector 1, plot 44) (Order form Number::656)

                            The story begins from here on.

                            I was promised that the bike will be delivered with registration on 30/08/2009.
                            I waited patiently all this while, however there had been no follow up from them on what the statius of the bike is.
                            Its been 17 days now, and the bike is nhot even been commissioned to my name, let alone me having the bike.

                            All this while i have had a really painstaking experience handling the unprofessional behaviour with the way my booking has dealt with and the it still continues.

                            The entire last week was lost with promises that the the bike will be delivered the next day.
                            I have had interactions with almost all of your agents/ managers etc. (Sanjay Yadav, Anis S, Amol, Shiva Ghizad)
                            All of them either chose to lie of the situation or not inform me of of what the correct status is.
                            I was lied to each time i called with regards to the status of the bilke and each time the lies were only better than earlier.
                            The lies include everything from blaming the company to not deliver the bikes on time to blaming RTO for not completing the registration process and also a rider (who is supposed to ferry the vehicle) meeting with a severe accident.
                            Every time i was given various numbers to call to check on the status (ideally this should be done by them) and the person used to pick up and would promise to call back and never did. best part is when i try calling the number- it used to either come as barred or switched off or not accepting calls.

                            for the last 5 days,after i spoke to Mr Shiva Ghizad, i saw some follow up happening from Amol who said thaere was a confusion and that they were under the impression that i will personally be doing the registration (whoever gave them this idea!-- or yet another lie!). so he said he will get the registratio0n done by Saturday and i should have the bike by Monday (07/09/2009).

                            Monday came, but the bike dint. Ah, one more thing came on Monday, the rider got completely wet in the rain and has fallen sick(these guys are brilliant i tell you). so the delivery deferred to Tuesday.
                            Tuesday, the bike was to be delivered (after i called them) by 05:00 pm. No bike, No calls!

                            Today, i decided to go to the showroom in Nerul and take a first hand account of what was happening(By the way, i stay 56 kms away from the showroom and definitely not a happy ride to make everyday). The story took a drammatic turn from this point on.

                            (IF YOU HAVE ALREADY LOST PATIENCE BY THIS TIME- IMAGINE ME LIVING THE STORY- but we are talking RE here, so the story better be interesting thanks to the star cast!!!!)

                            I met Anis here, who was surprised and asked me - "oh you still dint get the bike?". I was blank and dint know whqat to react.
                            Amol, on the other hand said " Mr hariharan, i'll tell you the truth. I've been busy. we are just waiting for the registration call from the rto"
                            I Decided not to wait and take the bike on a TC (CTtemp) number as it was already registered (as per them)
                            By then, i met Mr Ghisad and decided to make a complaint about the delay and unprofessional way this thing has been handled. He heard me patiently and said that i will get the bike today and the number tomorrow. This felt good.

                            In the Meanwhile Anis was preparing the bike for PDI- and asked me "aapne bike choice kiya?"
                            This hit me like a cruise missile- how can i make a "choice" when i am supposed to take the bike with the engine/ chasis number registered!
                            So while they were readying the bike, i decided to speak to Sanjay Yadav(who by the way deals with registrations- FYI).
                            I was just about to sign the delivery note when i asked him, "so i'll get the number tomorrow, righ??".
                            As cool as a cucumber, he replied "ek hafta lag jayega". I stopped righ there and asked him whether the bike has a CRtemp number and whether they have shown the bike in the rto.
                            Flashbacks!!!!!!(i could imagine the rider who had crashed- getting up and laughing at me). The answer was no- this is a fresh bike, without even the rto being paid.(they expected me ride a bike without any paper, risk the law??)

                            I cried foul and asked for my money to be refunded as this is the limit of my patience.
                            I was just wondering why a person like MR Ghisad (who i've know for a few years and also happens to be my good friend's uncle hide the truth and play with the game).

                            Sanjay, decided to speak to the owner to check what can be done.
                            I think but am not sure his name is Vinod( balding guy with wheatish complexion). I was called inside his cabin and "interrogated" on why i want to cancel- i spilled the entire story. Mr Ghisad/ amol/ Sanjay were all called.
                            Here the blame game (read sledging) started between Amol and Sanjay.
                            Amol made some starting revelation (which gives this story a unique twist) that he has been "ghumaoing" 35 such customers for over a month. There are no payments coming from Mr Owner to complete the formalities.
                            All this actually happened in front of me- A customer/ prospect!!!!
                            As per them 2.8 laks have been out of account (missing)for the octroi duties and payment of the RTO agents . The rto agents will not process requests for these 35 bikes (or should i say customers) as the company has failed to pay.

                            Mr Ghisad, who was patient all this while told me that you had spoken to me before you had booked the bike , i would have reffered you to Lotus automobiles as this branch is failing with process for more tan a Month now. 35 Customers waiting for more than a month??! he also said same is the case with another Dhoni Automobiles.

                            At this point, my patience had taken a new avtaar- let's say Angry young man?
                            I wanted my money back- to this i was replied (i am not sure if it was a threat)- you will have to wait longer, you might as well wait instead and take the bike instead.
                            He said that he will personally pay for by bike's octroi and get the bike formalities completed in 4 days. This was not ok with me. Sanjay to the rescue--- the answer was 3 days, "saturday ko mil jayega". At this juncture, i had to tell mr Sanjay that RTO is closed on a saturday (Thane RTO is closed every alternate saturday).

                            At this point Mr owner and sanjay were ore interested in the sugar levels of their Tea that was being served.
                            Any which ways Mr Owner when the drama happened seemed so cool that he knew everything(the look-- Baw!!! tell me something new!)

                            I asked Mr Owner, how can i trust you after all this has happened. "You take my card!"- and what??(the suspense continues). I asked him if i wait what's my benefit, he said "you will get the bike".
                            I replied- that i am any which ways supposed too long time back. At this comment a wicked smile came to him and he retorted- "so this is what you want"- at this point felt like getting up and stabbing him.
                            "i replied back if i wanted that, i would have asked when i booked the bike and not wait for 17 days for this to happen"- he just laughed in a way to say your'e fake.(this really hurt me- as i had paind the entire amount and waited patiently)

                            I am simple man, my hard earned money spent on my dreams (bike included), i do not want to get into legalities.
                            My only request to the company is, please stop tainting your reputation with such people and such episodes.
                            This is one customer's situation of apathy. Even write now while writing this hate mail, my only thought is even if i get the bike what would be its condition, whether the people that is spoke to will display their hurt egos' on my bike? will i get a truly substandard bike(i'll name it the substd 350). what ever happend to happy customer riding away with a smile on his face on his sparkling new bike- this feeling i shall never get any more with a Royal enfield.

                              I have been facing problem since the day I purchased new bike and still my problem is not resolved.

                              We have informed Royal Enfield (Lamba Service Station, Tilak Nagar Industrial Area) many times but still issue is persisting…..

                              Apart from that since day purchased i.e. 05th Nov’08; I have problem of Oil Leakage and while changing Gear and it’s been almost 10 months they are not able to rectify this problem.

                              I have reported these issues for than 7 times to them but still have the same issue ongoing….

                              I also had a problem with paint of Oil Tank and Headlight mask for that they have replaced headlight mask after 7 months but still Oil tank is not replaced….

                              Now I am really frustrated with the services provided by ROYAL ENFIELD as I purchased this bike to have Royal feel but now I am regretting for my decision as since starting I am facing issue and not getting any permanent solution…..

                              I will appreciate if you take serious action to take me out of this trouble….

                              I have been facing problem since the day I purchased new bike and still my problem is not resolved. I have purchased Royal Enfield Bullet from your kolhapur Branch.

                              I have problem of Valve knocking & CDI Unit totaly damaged from last one month.They are not able to rectify this problem.

                              I have reported these issues for than 4 times to them but still have the same issue ongoing….

                              Now I am really frustrated with the services provided by ROYAL ENFIELD as I purchased this bike to have Royal feel but now I am regretting for my decision as since starting I am facing issue and not getting any permanent solution…..

                              I will appreciate if you take serious action to take me out of this trouble….

                              I have been facing problem since the day I purchased new bike and still my problem is not resolved. I have purchased Royal Enfield Bullet from your kannur Branch in kerala state.
                              I have problem of fork and front suspension from the day i purchased it & my front mud guard get damaged .I have reported these issues for than 4 times and they painted and tell me that have been rectified now but still have the same issue ongoing….
                              i am really not in good mood to ride this bullet because of this problem so plz make me any solution in mean time .

                                hello sir,

                                my name is sameer jalali ...i recently purchased new royal enfield electra 5s from company showroom in nerul which is in navi mumbai...and i got problems with it now n then...they repair it and then again there is some problem...i had recently changed the electric start clutch which they said is faulty...again there came another problem with it...its been just 5 months since i have bought the bike...plz help me...i think there is some company manufacturing fault with it...plz help me...

                                  with reference to below complaints, would like to bring to your notice another unusual problem in your bike, yesterday evening on my way back to home from office, i was driving my bike on about 60kmph speed and all of sudden the oil level indicator(made of glass) got burst ed and engine oil started leaking from the same.

                                  today i have informed your reputed dealership Kay's Auto about the same and they said bring it to workshop without thinking that engine can seize due to oil leakage, after my request them to attained the complaint at my place since i don't want my bike to get any further damage they told me we will arrange the same, but as of now there is no action has been taken and they are not even bother to revert to me..after 3hrs i called them back to find out about the above said matter they said they are arranging for the part.

                                  i would like you to take necessary action ASAP.where in i have already lost my faith in Royal Enfield.
                                  kindly change this bike to me because i cant trust in this particular bike anymore even after rectification of the problem, being an Automobile Engineer by qualification i cant trust it, since it can develop any damages/problems any time.

                                  This bike has done only 700 kms and troubling me from the very first day of purchase

                                  By the time of delivery from showroom i have noticed that bike is wobbling in slow speed and the same also informed to dealer officials and assured me that during 1st service they will take care for the same.after my two visits for servicing and for the same this has not been resolved yet.they have even replaced the complete RR wheel swing arm, both frt and RR tyres with rim, which clearly indicate that there is some manufacturing defect in my bike.after all this exercise they have told me that they wants Engineer from Royal Enfield to inspect the same.

                                  2.Handle:-
                                  Handle was not straight100%. It was slightly distrubed, they have tilt it on other side .didnt even bohter to open the handle bar to resolve the problem.But still the problem is same.now it has started making noise on bumps or ruff roads.


                                  This bike has done only 700 kms till now, and giving me all troubles from the very first day as it wobbles, their is no stablity on the road, always seems that im driving a bike with puncher tyre.they want me to bring the bike again to their workshop to rectify above said problems which is quite impossible for me as im also into Automobile industry and looking after-sales for a reputated brand like HONDA cars india, kindly arrange to inspect/rectfy the same in Mahadev Agency, Noida as its near by my office and i can leave my bike for complete day.
                                  With this im lossing confidence in a big Brand like Royal Enfield.

                                  Kindly look after the same ASAP.

                                  Yes, i can understand your problem, you should have opted for the royal enfield std 350cc, which in my suggestion is the original bullet, while the rest are all modded.Remember RE is a british motorcycle, they did not make thunderbird, the original bike of royal enfield is only the Bullet std 350.

                                  This is P.Vijay Benedict, i am working as a s/w engineer in a MNC, at Chennai,
                                  I bought a Royal Enfield Thunderbird on 28th April 2010 from Adyar showroom(Chennai), and since then I was having Battery Problem, they replaced the battery 4 times, and still the bike has not completed the 400Km, and now the service person told that during the first service, it will be taken care, and now he is telling, he has to check the line or the coil, I think now a days Royal Enfield has lost their Pride, they are not producing good bikes, If it happens again, I will go to Consumer Court, I need immediate response...

                                  Royal Enfield has to do something to fix my Issue...
                                  I am also facing engine oil leakage problem. If it is a manufacturing defect then it should be fixed. If I have spent 1.1 lack rupee to own a bike then I can expect a tention free bike.

                                  i have also booked a thunderbird black on 15 Jun 2010.The bike was to be delivered on 15 Sep, now they say that it would take some more time. what nonsense is this?

                                  I have booked Thunderbird 350cc four months back i.e dated 5-8-2012. in ravi motors, Vadodara, Gujarat.
                                  but since from two months i am waiting for delivery of my Thunderbird but suddenly model was changed from the royal enfield, i agree to buy new model but as per your dealer at vadodara, they says that it will take another 4 months.

                                  so you are requested to do needful at your end.otherwise i should cancel my booking.

                                    i had purchased my bike from a a bike co in south delhi under the name of south delhi motorcycles kalkaji on 25/2/2008 but the bill was provided to me from a different location and of different company m/s lamba enterprises p ltd, jail road, delhi . now the problem is since the date of purchase till now i have not been given my registration card and its been almost 1 year 4 months the company is harassing me and making all sorts of excuses.
                                    now my main reason of concern is first of all i am not able to to take my bike anywhere without registration card and the second most imp reason being is my suspecion if i have been given some king of defective or some hanky panky stuff . i fail to belive if the registration takes that much time, this shows a high level of incompetance of the company . nothing has been done even though i had made a complaint to enfeild bike co too .
                                    please can i expect any help in getting registration card from consumer complaints forum

                                      Respected Sir,
                                      Myself Sunil Kumar, I had purchased the ROYALENFIELD BYKE 4S ELECTRA, CHASSIS NO- 6B700919, ENGINE NO-6B700919H from BRAWAN AUTOMOBILES, GURGAON in the year SEP, 2006. Since that time I have been facing various problems due to negligency of authorised servise station.Please note below mentioned problems.

                                      1. WHEEL RIM:-
                                      While purchasing, I wish to replace the rim into OLIVE WHEEL. The dealer did the same with extra payment(4000/-) and origional wheel rim put by himself.And told that this is scrap and has not value.After three weeks bearing has broken by front wheel and was changed with payment.Again after two weeks the bearing broken.I said to dealer to solve the problem permanently.He said the wheel are not origional and the problem will be persist.He never told before this thing. I said, you should make me aware before purchasing.He said this was your wish.I said ok. Please change into origional.After all the wheels were changed with extra payment(3000). I asked him for my old origional rim, but he refused.
                                      I am not a technician, who can take this type of decision. Such decisions should be taken firmly by the dealers. Ultimately i suffered and piad extra.

                                      2. Shocker Problem:-
                                      Front Shoker left side leakage is continious from purchaging time.At every time they make me foolish by making temparory solution.i.e- Washer changed. During last service I said strongly, than they said shokerrod damaged.
                                      What should i do, please advise.

                                      3.Handle:-

                                      The same problem I had shown to your engineer, who was on visit that time.But he also replied casually, said this is ok.

                                      4. Pick-up:-
                                      Byke doesnot run properlysince first service. It vibrates above 50KPH speed and increase simultaneously to the speed. Gears doesnot insert properly. To resolve this problem, once they have changed the clutchplates.But the problem is same.

                                      During last servise I decided to leave the byke at dealer servisestation.But they said this is the best.We cannot do more.Last servise was done by 13-14 years old child.Can a child do this properly, and on this basis they said this is our maximum.

                                      I suffered a lot of since the byke purchased.Now I am leaving 100km far from servisestation, so cannot go in a week or two week.
                                      So please advise what should i do.

                                      Hi,

                                      I have been facing similar problem. My bike(TB Twin spark) is just 4 months old and on my way to munnar from chennai, the gear box jammed, stopping the vehicle with a huge skid.
                                      I had been walking to the RE service center for a month with unfixed gearbox problems, registered a complaint to service manager(Mr.Sakthivel) and then they took good care of the bike and gave me in proper running conditions.

                                      Now 2 weeks past, Iam hearing engine noise and the gears not applying properly. The next time, this problem occurs, iam going to drive the bike the FACTORY at Chennai.

                                      what do you think I must do? and our friend Sunil? We bought Royal enfield for our LOVE for the thump and assuming its the Harley davidson of India.

                                      RE DO DISSAPPOINT US FROM TIME TO TIME
                                      Hello Royal Enfield Team,

                                      I have been an Enfieldan for the past five years and the trauma I have been in these days is very worst. It is really shame full for a company like this for not giving much importance in the after sales market. Many Enfield bikes are just stripped and getting rust in the garage just because there is no availability of spares parts. Many are loosing hearts on this magnificent legend because of the pain they receive on owning these bikes. The condition is not only in India but the same in New Zealand, UK and other countries where the dealership exist. We can get the spares of a Norton or BSA very easily but not Enfield. The company is as good as non-existing even it is. A good company’s responsibility does not end only in production but an extended responsibility in valuing its customers and a good reputation in the after sales market.

                                      The company should seriously look into these issues:
                                      • Customer value.
                                      • Well trained Mechanics
                                      • Availability of spare parts.
                                      • Address the customer queries
                                      • Maintain a good after sales market
                                      If this pain of an Enfieldan goes on deaf ears, there is nothing much he has to loose except the passion on this machine, but in the track of time you will be a big looser.

                                      I am fan of Bullet, But i am speaking with most of Bullet'ers and they are having bad experience with Service and Response from company..Seriously Top management need to take serious steps to satisfy the customers... Or otherwise your organization will loose minimal crazy crowd also...

                                      I am sunil kumar, I have ordered for Bullet Classic 350 on 13th of December 2009 at New Delhi(India) and the dealer promised me that I will get the delivery with one month but now it is 31st of January and I am still waiting for possession. Can I have the details to which person I should get in touch with. I have talked to all the manager and they are saying that some of the machine part has been broken in the factory that why the delay occured.

                                      on 14th of may 2010, from one of your dealer KOLKATA BIKE ZONE, MAUHA APPARTMENT, TEGHARIA, V.I.P ROAD. KOLKATA=700157 for passing class 12 as a gift from DAD.
                                      since that day my good time converted into worst.

                                      1st battery problem.
                                      bcoz after 15 day of my purchase my battery was not responsing properly when i talk with that dealer they just answer we cant help it you have to go exide office for battery Quary i went there they told that one cell is damage on ur battery and for that it will take 20 days to replace but it happend after 34 days.

                                      2nd problem is my k.m is not showing after 29.9 i talk to dealer they have replace my machine with new one but this is also not showing after 699.9.

                                      3rd engine noice... some different sound is comming from engine like it is leak from some place i told told in my second service but they have not taken any action just told come on next service we will go to this...

                                      4th disk plate is slight tilted i went to service center on my third service service he accepted that my disk is tilt and he told me that he will replace my disk plate but when i went to receive my bike they told some tilt will be there...
                                      but i didnt find at any other bike this problem.

                                      5th back madgard is tilted one side again in service center they told it is tilted in every bike so they cant help it.

                                      6th few screw were not tight properly bcoz of that my back light is shakind and making noice...

                                      i suffered a lot since i purchase the bike and heard lot from my dad for choosing this company and i have decided to take my last service on 24th nov, 2010 if my problem will not taken as seriously by your man i will sell my bike and switch to another company.
                                      and have to think a lot to purchase another bike which i was suppose to purchase by this december, 2010.
                                      what is your advice for me ?

                                      sir, we dont have any service center on howrah for that we suppose think a lot to buy a new bike becouse it consume to much time for servicing as compair to other company bcoz we have to go to KOLKATA BIKE ZONE. tegharia near dumdum or A, G.C road which take more then which take not less then 1 hr to reached.
                                      and we dont want to show our problem to local machanic.

                                      in howrah most of people intrested on bullet but just for service center they were not selecting...

                                      and i also want to complain about service center which is at 309, A.G.C bose road, name AUSTIN service center they just charge a lot of money but dose not give a good performance...

                                      I brought Royal Enfield just 2months ago from bandra showroom, Recipt no 2700, it was working excellently well untim and unless i gave my bike for servicing at andheri which is an aithorsied servcie centre for royal enfeild, this person has screwed my bike, it stops in between of the road as well as it takes a hell lot of kicks to get the bike on, its so fustrating that the bike which was working fine until i gave servcing is giving me this problem im really disappointed with the outcome of the bike after paying so much of hardwork money ..as well as paying 1000rs to servcie person as well .its realy im possible cause after the bike was servcied the clutch plates were burnt which were changed by them free but the bike has really gave me so much of problem that i cant imagine the pain in driving this bike as it also insults me in front of my freinds and family people that i keep giving kicks to my bike please check in please getthe feedback delivered

                                      I have the same problem instead i have bullet 350 elektra 5s and it starts vibrating at 80kmph and i did a service check but after that the pickup was low and had an affect on avg. and when i used to start my headlight or tail light or horn it used to stop immediatedly, and when i gave my bike to service AGAIN they stole my petrol about 3 litre.

                                      I have also purchased Thunderbird Twinspark from same dealer (Brawn Automobiles, Gurgaon) and since then my bike is giving me one basic problem apart from numerour other problems. The problem is that I get jerk while driving. It feels as if engine is losing current or petrol supply is not proper due to which I am getting those jerks. I had reported this to the dealer and they tried to fix it but no fix was done yet. Later on, 02nd, 03rd and 04th service were done by Lamba Automobiles. So far they have not been able to fix the problem. After service bike works fine for maximum a day or two and then again problem comes up. As per the representative of Lamba Automobiles, whenever I need to visit them, I should have at least 05 to 06 hours and I should not expect the work to be done before it. So, I cannot go there every alternate day reporting the same problem. Coming back to Brawn Automobiles, I had a problem that bike used to turn off itself when stationary. Mechanic in Brawn Automobiles changed the setting and now whenever I turn on the bike, Rev/Min meter always stays at 1.5, which logically means that "ITS FINE THAT I AM STATIONARY BUT MY BIKE IS RUNNING AT 1500 REVOLUTIONS PER MINUTE". When I asked the logic of it, he said that this is the only fix to the issue. If I want to get it done, then its fine otherwise live with the issue. So, I had to get it done. There was no fix for them.

                                      I would like to ask to Royal Enfeild, if this is the problem that is same with every Thunderbird or if this is the problem with my bike specifically. Here I am referring to two problems as said above:
                                      1. Jerks while driving
                                      2. Bike getting turned off while stationary and tuning has to be setup at 1.5 to keep it alive.

                                      I hope to get a positive response from Royal Enfeild regarding the issue.

                                      Iam Rajan i booked a royal en field vehicle 10 months back, it was booked on my mobile number that is [protected], it is already 10 days remaining for my vehicle delivery, there is no response from the showroom till date, i have been calling those people since 1 week no one is giving proper response to me, one of the executive lifted the call and he is saying that there is delay of the vehicle from the company, there are some rumors that the vehicle are sold in black by taking excess amount, i kindly request you to look in to this matter, hence the people will loose interest towards royal enfield. i was counting the days of my vehicle, plz take this matter seriously..

                                      everybody is suffering from a very long waiting for 14+months. but some of rich people are getting easily by buying in black market (Classic 350 for Rs157000 where as original price is Rs127000 on road), that is in "RAMKOTI" IN HYDERABAD.                                       but after getting this and a ride of 15 km there was a leakage in engine oil
                                      regarding that leakage i informed to shoroom dealer he took the bike to service center and fixed i...
                                      but after 5 days on 07 jan when i was on a trip on my bike almost 40 km far from my living place same problem comes
                                      i think this is the poor show

                                      My true feedback for kings autoriders is they need to be customer focused in this competative edge. My personal experience is very bad with Kings autoriders. I have been following it up for my RC/TC card over a year and the sales representatives are not at all keen to sort out the issue in any manner...After multiple reminders they are not even calling my surname correctly..I'm sure they will train their representatives on how to pronounce their customer names correctly.
                                      Now the situation is so bad for me that my bike is out of insurance and to renew it I do not have RC/TC with me.
                                      I have been getting answer that my RC/TC has been dispatched in Oct. 2013. On serious note this is a joke done over me as a customer. any post or courier can be delivered to any destination in a months time (by max)..
                                      The worst part of kings atuoriders is you will never get a call from them. I must have called and visited their office every month since I received the faulty RC/TC card..and the response is always -ve or no response in favour of you.
                                      I'm very disappointed with the service with kings autoriders.

                                      I had purchase a enfield electra silver on 09.09.2013, from Marikar motors kollam, Ch.no : ME3U3SSCODH301130, Eng no : B355COH301130.
                                      Deaker code : 247. Reg no : KL02AP.9499.
                                      I regularly use authorised service centre and timely service. But Today I appear Marikar motors service center for my 4 the free service (KM=9040) But your people not accept my vehicle and treat me rudely. They told me the free service was expire, and need to paid service. Then he need my coupon but I am not ready to pay it off. So he compel me to do the paid service. Is it correct as per your company instruction . If no pls do suitable action against my complaint.
                                      We want justice.

                                      Regarding: Non redressal of complaint within warranty period.

                                      Sir,

                                      This is to inform you that I had bought one Royal Enfield Thunder Bird 350 on 28th September, 2013 from Chandigarh because there is no authorised showroom or service centre in Gorakhpur, I had to go to your authorised service centre at Deoria namely Supreme Motors for getting the service done (about 50 kms away). Through this letter I would like to bring to your notice the hardships and trauma which I had suffered at your authorised service centre and would really appreciate if steps will be taken from your side to resolve my issues on priority basis.

                                      The first and foremost this which I would like to bring to your notice that on the service coupon it is very clearly written that bike should be washed but there is no system of washing of bike in the service centre, they say that Bullet is never washed.

                                      On the first servicing I had complained about the following two things:
                                      1) Meter
                                      2) Difficulty of putting the Bike on neutral in start position.

                                      The service Manager Mr. Jitendra Sahai assured me that the problems are minor in nature and will be resolved. After some time the bike was returned to me and I was told that the meter will be replaced on second servicing however regarding the second problem I was told that the same has been rectified. I took the bike and went for a ride however I felt that the second problem was still persisting. I again returned and complained about the same however I was told that the problem is temporary in nature and after covering some distance this will automatically resolved. Upon their assurance I returned back.

                                      It is important to mention here that there was no improvement in the condition of bike and the assurances which were given were all fake and misleading.

                                      That I went for second servicing. The meter was replaced this time. However the second issue remained as it is. I was informed that this issue of gear problem was raised before the company and one expert will be coming to teach the mechanics. I was further assured that in the third servicing it will be definitely resolved.

                                      In third servicing, I complained about meter which was changed on the second service in which the digital clock was getting slow day by day, in addition to the above mentioned problems/defects. I clearly told the manager that I will not be taking my bike this time if the problem will not be resolved. Upon this the right section of the engine was opened and the mechanics worked for about 4 hrs. I checked the bike, there was a little improvement in it but after few days the condition became same.

                                      In 4th and last servicing which was done on 7th July, 2014 I again complained about the clock getting slow and the problem of gear. As far as my first problem is concerned I was told that the meter has to be changed. Since they were not having the meter a requisition will be sent to the company and will let me know as soon as they receive a new meter.

                                      However with respect to my second problem I was told that one rod has to be filed (Ghisna) on leath (shop) on which the selector runs which changes the gear and I was further told that the charges for the work has to be borne by me. I requested them that since my Bike is in warranty period it is necessary and incumbent upon the company to change the part which is not functioning properly. I was further informed that the company doesn’t entertain this type of complaint hence it doesn’t changes the part.

                                      I, bonafidely believed on his statement and thereby agreed to his proposal. I was told to pay Rs. 100/- which I did for which I didn’t got any cash receipt. After taking the money the mechanic Mr. Shamshul insisted me to sit in the customer lounge as it will take approx 1 hour. After some time I heard a sound that something is getting filed on a filing machine. I went to the mechanic and complained that when he was doing the work in the service centre only then why was he charging. Upon this the mechanic became angry. I complained this to the Manager who intern replied that do whatever you can but please don’t visit the service centre from the next time. After the servicing was over I took my bike and returned.

                                      Sir till today both the problems which were existing at the time of first servicing are yet to be resolved and I am unable to find the solution to my problems as the act and conduct of the mechanic as well as the service Manager of your authorised service centre was highly derogatory and unethical.

                                      Please look into the problems stated above and suggest me the solution as my bike’s warranty will be over in the month of September 2014 failing which I will be forced to initiate legal action for the redressal of my grievances.
