The product was dead on arrival. The motors were installed only a few days later. Ever since then, the recliner has issues with reclining. It’s either the bush or the motor. Multiple attempts of repair have been made by the one and only RoyalOak service technician available in Chennai. Now the service team is holding me for 15 days saying that they are waiting for the parts to arrive. It is very clear that this is a faulty, waste of a product and the company does not want to admit the truth. As a customer whose product is under warranty, I will settle for nothing but the full refund of the amount paid/ new replacement of the same whole product. Otherwise, I’ll draft a notice and take this further in the consumer forum.
However I haven't heard anything from them yet.
Why the refund process is so complicated even after cancellation of the order. The helpdesk insists to provide a voucher which could be used in ICICI or SBI bank. Other option is refund to source Bank account from which transaction was made which as per him would take a while.
So I chose to opt second option and reached via email to [protected]@gmail.com today and got a phone call from the same number and provided a voucher code and I have no clue if it works this way.
