I had called up the ST courier franchise in Injambakkam- 600115 to courier a painting from Injambakkam to Medavakkam with door step pickup, Mr.Bharathidasan had redirected me to his Mr.Siva who would do the pick up. Since Mr.Bharathidasan informed me that packing is not done by ST courier, we did proper packaging with Newspapers+ 3 layer of clothing + a cardboard box + gift packing.
Then yesterday (11th December) Mr.Siva came for picking up the delivery and cleary saw the marking we had put on the box which mentioned ' Handle with care' and 'glaas' as it was a framed painting. Since it was fragile, he never denied the pick up instead he charged Rs.200 instead of the earlier quoted estimate price of within Rs.100 told by his manager(Mr.Bharathidasan), as he quoted that this was fragile and has glass and hence they will have to charge higher to securely deliver.
This painting has been made by a differently abled person to a donor who bought it for Rs.2000, and now the painting has been broken. When I call both Mr.Siva and Mr.Bharathidasan, I have been getting really irresponsible answers and Mr. Bharathidasan went on to say why did you call us to courier your item and showed a lot of anger on call, I as a customer trusted the brand name ST courier and called them and the way he speaks was totally disrespectful. There was never a blatant denial of a courier service and we also did not beg them to deliver it.
Infact, even Mr.Siva has himself written it on top of the parcel with the black sketch to handle with care, so we have not begged them to deliver, Had they denied (As per ST courier's terms to not deliver Glass based items, I would have found another alternative). So, Do not tell me that it is not under the terms if ST courier to not ship any glass based items as they were very much aware of it when booking, hence I need a clear response from ST courier as both the professionals who handled this have stopped picking up my call and even if they do, they do not maintain the needed decorum and professionalism.
Find attached the images of the painting, the broken pieces and the top of the packaging which clearly says 'Handle with care' and 'Glass'.
I expect an apology for the inappropriate behaviour and a refund for the damage caused.
Hope ST courier will maintain it's brand credibility.
I had even mailed and called up ST courier's official complaint no and sent an email to their helpdesk but there hasn't been any response from their end and I'm not leaving this issue until my problem is resolved.
