I have been holding the health insurance policy for more than 5 years. At the time of entering into the policy, i was advised that i would have no claim benefits... Every year without any consent from the consumer the policy is being revised and the premium is increased without any wish of a customer. Not a single time the "no claim policy" benefits are transferred to the customer.
Last time i paid 17, 000 (All inclusive), next year the premium is increased to 21000 without any consent. The amount of policy insured is revised...

I strongly advise all the customers to be aware and be cautious about the malpractices and fraudulent behaviors of these insurance companies... Every year they burden you by making revisions in premium and at some point in time you will be made paid more than your claim amount...

Irda is useless and mute about all these malpractices...

    Patient satbir bhardwaj is admited in hospital due to chest pain because of slow heart pumping
    Doctor clear it after eco report
    And after that doctor refer the patient in icu

    And at the time of discharge hospital make a bill of 72000
    But the star health company denied the claim
    And give reason
    Of just having normal problem
    But we want our claim of normal admission charge too
    As i m a three year old customer of star health and pay all my premium on time

    Plz help me on the issue

      I have been paying this policy for the past 5 years and have not utilized the benefits in any one year.in this year the policy amount was raised suddenly without any notice. When we inquired about the staff (The communicator between start health and us), it was informed that the plan ratio might be changed by the star health insurance. If so that should not be done without customer's knowledge. Kindly give us the details of change in renewal premium.

        Respected sir,

        Sub: request for look into the matter of medical reimbursement. Regd.

        Dear sir,
        I p srinivasulu has taken the star health insurance policy on dt 14-oct-2017.

        Later my daughter admitted in local sravanthi hospital in vijayawad on dt 15-nov-2017 due to stomach pain.

        There she has been tested and taken mri scan and in that it is found some mass formed and then made surgery on 17-nov-2017. She discharge on 19-nov-2017.

        I have submitted all the reports and necessary document to the local star health insurance company in vijayawada. There they delayed nearly one month and repeatedly asked about our reimbursement. It was found that delayed in vijayawada and finally submitted the our application to chennai office.

        After one month i received information regarding the reasons for delay and summary report. I have submitted them immediately. After another 15 days i received a call and asked me the reason for hospitalization and i told them due stomach pain we have admitted our daughter in the hospital.
        Again another day they called me and they told your case is rejected.

        I asked the reason for rejection, that they told minimum waiting period is 30 days as per clause 3 (I).

        When i check it is 30 days waiting period. We i see it that waiting period is over on 12-nov - 2017. But our date of admission is 15-nov-2017.

        They are telling me that one week earlier disease is there in the submitted hospital report. We found the disease only after mri scan. Ladies may have different pains. This is found only after mri scan. They reject our medical reimbursement with this reason.

          Sir,
          I purchased a star health policy p/161128/01/2017/000863 on 17/01/2017 for my father mr. Lila ram through your agent mr. Umesh grover (Intermediary code ba[protected]).

          My father was suffering from coronary artery disease (Cad) and underwent an angioplasty with stent on 30 nov 2016. When we took the policy, we gave all heath records to the agent and told him clearly about the pre-existing disease and asked him to mention the same in proposer form.

          He went to the village, collected all the documents and got the proposer form signed from my father.

          After some days, he told us that the policy was issued. But, he didn't send the policy documents to us, neither we receive the documents through email or post. When checked, he told us not to worry and told that the policy has been issued and is proper. He told as per the policy, the pre-existing disease will be covered in the next year i. E. 2018.

          This year, the renewal was due and it got renewed on 29/01/2018 with number p/161128/01/2018/001320. We paid the renewal premium of rs. 42, 480.

          Unfortunately, my father got some issue with health and he was admitted to hospital on 07th feb 2018. Doctors prescribed him the angioplasty with 2 stents. When i checked with tpa desk, they tried to get a pre-approval for the claim and a claim no. 0582636 was registered with star health.

          To our surprise, the claim got rejected and the reason was "pre-existing disease" was not mentioned in the first policy by the agent.

          I checked with the agent and he told that he attached all documents and mentioned it in the form. But, star claim team was saying it is not mentioned.

          So, my claim was rejected and i had to pay rs. 2.5 lakhs to the hospital.

          This is a clear case of cheating by star health agent and their team. They are running a racket in which first they make false promises to the customers and then at the time of requirement, they reject the claims.

          What was my fault in this? I didn't receive the first policy document by email or post in 15 days, so couldn't see the pre-existing mentioned. If i would have seen it, i would have cancelled the policy or get it updated in time.

          I will also file this complaint in irds and will also file a suit in the consumer forum so that in future they don't cheat the customers in the name of health insurance.

            I am a customer of star health since last 7 years. Now the agent enrolled me, now he is a branch manager. As i got my renewal notice, i try to contact the branch manager because i needed to upgrade my sum assured, it’s the very sad thing i didn’t get a opportunity to know any answers because of the busy office.
            Provide more manpower on office or i need to change my policy with other companies

              The claim no is 0571709. Name : mrs. Rajeswari.. The patient has undergone a surgery in lkm hospital erode and still she is hospital but we got a msg stating that she has discharged... And more over the total claim received is rs 48000 but hospital has requested for rs 58000... So before discharging they are asking us to pay the remaining 10000rs and during initial stage of admission we have paid from our pocket around 6500rs for emergency medicines and echo test, ecg, blood, etc.. The hospital team said that they will pay back us at the day of our discharge and we have submitted all the bill details to them but still we have not got refund for that as well... Kindly look into the issue and do the needful on urgent basis

                With reference to the above cited subject, kindly change my intermediary name mr. Santhosh n u bearing code ba[protected], because i met with an major accident in the month july 2016 and at the time if we call mr. Santhosh regarding discuss about what is the procedure for claiming the insurance and etc., but he is not received our call after attempting several time and ignore our calls. But, fortunately star health settles my partial amount to the hospital.in this matter i am very much disappointed with the behavior mr. Santhoh even i am with star health policy since from 2014.
                In this issue i already discussed with the branch office several times, now i strongly request you to change intermediary name from mr. Santhosh n u to mrs. Asha g s bearing code ba[protected] for further my policies with star health. If you are change or alter the same in future i completely transfer my policy with other insurance company.

                  My father had taken a family health insurance policy with the company (Policy no. P/161120/01/2018/002133), three years back, which also covered me and my mother. At the time of taking the policy we had submitted all the required documents regarding my medical history to the company's development officer.

                  Last month, i met with an accident. My claim was rejected on the ground that the medical history is not disclosed. However, mr. Himmat singh, abm, jaipur branch, mr. Babulal meena, do & mr. Shankarlal chowdhary, agent; has acknowledged their fault through an official e-mail addressed to zone's claim department regarding the disclosure of my medical history together with the discharge summary submitted to the company. Even-though the claim has been rejected and moreover, the company has suo-moto cancelled the original policy and issued a new policy throwing me out of the insurance coverage.

                  I am amazed on this oppressive step taken by the company. I believe that rejecting my claim is a clear case of fraud, mislead and corrupt intention. I have written numerous e-mails to the company, registered complaint, but nothing happened. Even the customer care do not hesitate in saying that they did not receive any e-mails from me where i have sent numerous e-mails on various different dates clearly sitting in the my sent box and in some cases i have received their lame replies as well.

                  I have an e-mail from a person holding reputed position in the company clearly acknowledging their fault.

                  I want my claim amount of rs. 77, 280. I also want that the new insurance policy suo-moto issued by the company to stand cancel and the old policy continues.

                    I am registered with dnd.in spite of this i am disturbed my untimely calls from this company. I have never interacted with this firm. Emails to the ao and zo # of this shameless firm, to stop this nuisance, has not helped. Wonder, where this rogue company got my details from? When i scolded the telemarketer, that rogue has added my number to other databases and i am getting more calls. My service provider vodafone is equally incompetent in addressing such issues. I hope this complaint stops this nuisance and also prevents other rogue telemarketers to stop this filthy practice of telemarketing

                    Emails sent to the ### mentioned in their website are unanswered. This cheap 3rd rate company steals customers data and gives it to third-party telemarketers, who harass the public with their calls. This company has no culture, ethics, decency or value. even today I got a call.

                      Star health insurance customer care ref no: CR[protected]: I requested kodambakkam branch to provide NOC to transfer the policy from them to Vyttila branch, Kochin. They are not ready to provide NOC. They are convincing me to go with global renewal so that they get all the benefits. If a customer is not happy with their service, why are they forcing/recommending me to do a global renewal? I never got any service from them for the past few claims. If I try to reach them to their given number, no one will be present to attend the call at business hours. When I was working in Chennai, I got this insurance from them for my parents 7 years back. Now I'm no longer living in India. My parents (60+ and 70+ years old) do not know Tamil and for their convenience I need to transfer the policy to Kerala, so that they get immediate service and assistance from a local agent. Last few claims, I had a hard time to deal with these people. I live in the United States and I have to be awake until 11:30pm in the night to reach these people, 10am India time. I never could reach anyone all the times. I wasted several days and time for their service. I do not want to continue the same with them. Took more than 6 months to get a refund on the latest claim. No one responded or helped from kodambakkam branch. I finally ended up reaching customer care to resolve it. If I do not get any proper service and I'm not beneficial by their service, why should I do a global renewal and give them all the benefits? I sent more than 10 emails to get an NOC from them. They are not willing to provide one. I'm again requesting them to provide NOC within a day. My parent's current policy expiries today Jan 30th, 2018. I'm not responsible for the lapse of my parents insurance policy. Kodambakkam branch delayed the whole thing. Policy details: Insured person 1: P Devaki, policy no:P/111116/01/2017/008298

                        I anil kumar rathi s/o shri mir singh having policy (011655) of star health& allied insurance co. Ltd.
                        Due to illness i was admitted on 27th in kailesh hospital ltd. – greater noidaa and discharged on 30th nov 2017.
                        During investigation tests were conducted by drs., star health made payment of some bill not made.
                        Bill no ipd/c/17/10671 dated 30th nov. 17 of amount rs 36, 611/= raised by hospital but star health deducted rs 2300 approx. And during follow up i found that echo colour doppler test payment of rs 1950 approx not paid by star health.
                        How star health can denoy for this payment?

                        After that i submitted bills of rs 7, 454/= for reiumbrance on 28th dec 17 but till date amount not paid by star health.

                        I request you kindly release my payment at the earliest.

                          I receive phone calls from star health insurance on regular basis on my phone.
                          I has become a headache now, even during driving, during meetings and many such occasions. I do not have any idea how they have accessed my number.
                          I have tried a solution for this in their website and other portals, none of those helped to sort this issue out.

                          Even, I have the same problem. The rogues are shameless. I have complained to IRDA and TRAI as of now. Planning to put it in FB also.
                          Keep receiving calls from star health insurance on regular basis on my phone. Even after telling them not to disturb me. DND is waste.
                          I will never ever buy this insurance. There is no point in telling them to remove my number. On a daily basis i am getting 3-4 calls.

                            My company is insured with star health insurance noida and i submitted my claim on 26th november and as per there policy the amount should be refunded back to you with 15-21 working days but its nearly about 2 months i haven't received any of my two claim and person working with star health and unison daily say to me that my claim is settled and amount will be refunded to me by 10 january but now its 19 january i haven't received a single amount and the person told me that the amount which will be refunded to me in future is 17k out of 30k. I don't have any information about why they are deduction my 13k for the claim and person pay huge amount to hospital in cashless but the insurer company deduct huge amount from it

                              I bought senior citizen red carpet policy for my dad. Now my dad is in hospital, i registered for a cashless process from the hospital. Instead of approving the process, they sent their agent to talk to my dad soon after his operation and took signatures from him without understanding his condition. Now they deny the claim by saying the patient had on and off chest pain for past 6 months,

                              I don't understand how the came to an assumption that he had on and off chest pain and how that is related to deny the policy.

                              We take senior citizen red carpet policy and they not given claim us we call many time on toll free but no respionse given our claim no 543190 and policy no 004739 no doctor meet us in hospital and no represntive of insurance company meet us they directly cancel claim and we paid hospital 70 years women is in big trouble
                              If the official staff’s are sleeping, instant of working, customer relationships will destroy.how come these irresponsible staffs working on star health firms. It’s shameful in this social media generation

                                  I have opt a policy senior citizens red carpet policy for me and for my wife on 20/11/2017 registered with policy nos p 161130/01/2018 /006668 and
                                  P 161130/01/2018/006667, after receiving policy i found some conditions unmatched with my requisition form witch i made, so after discussions i was forced to make a cancellation option, all the related documents which are required by co. Was provided after that i was informed by the co, that my policies are rejected w e f 3/12/17 and will gate refund within ten working days from _.
                                  But after many calls and emails to the policy bazaar, co and star health, co, i have not found neither any refund nor any satisfactory reply
                                  After a month of rejection of my policy they have not made any refund till dated
                                  To day after many tries on the toll free no i found connected but regret to say no buddy was serious in my concern they (Call center executives mr jetendra kumar and seeta) are not able to surch my id or policy through my registered mobile no and by my name which is not possible. After that i request to connect me to the senior person of the team after many request i have been connected to mr peter thomas but sorry to say he is also not able to solve my issue and not satisfy me in any concern, he was telling that your complaint has been registered today only. Is totally wrong because a number of call has been received by me regarding refund payment from health care insurance and policy bazaar, co with an assurance of payment with in 5 to 7 working days, promise
                                  Till this time i have not received any payment also i wants to know whenever i got my refund and why i should not be given an interest on my amount due to delay payment at your end,
                                  I found me forge and cheated, first when i found an added condition and know not received refund after a month of rejection of policy by company,

                                    I had admitted my wife in emergency in hospital at 2.30/midnight as per doctors recommendation due to sever weakness and fever and was discharged after 3 days. When i submitted the bills for reimbursement star health rejected the claim saying that the treatment could be done out of hospital at home also.
                                    Kindly look in to it.
                                    The reports have also been submitted which shows platelets deficiency and also i have given doctors undertaking saying the admission was necessary as the treatment could not be done elsewhere but hospital.
