My father opearted in AIIMS hospital costing only 1.50 lac instead in private its take around 6 lac .this stupid company people says why u have operated your patient in AIIMS and they donts know what is AIIMS .All ministers and our Prime minister is also treated in AIIMS.they enquire and cut 40 percent of our money.we have given in written to company but no reply i dont know why they cut this money .company branch is

You may check your policy document for T&Cs to ensure that claim amt paid is as per the policy & amount covered. Insurer cannot say that they don't know all India institute of medical sciences & where it is, if claim amount paid is 40% less, insurer has to issue memo for less amount with details. You may insist the insurer to furnish details in writing. If no response or not satisfied with the same within 30 days of your request in writing, pl approach insurance ombudsman for your grievance.

whom so it may concern who write this post, what do you mean by cashless insurance, what we have by your agent that you just go and admit yourself and company will take care of you .you dont have to pay asingle penny from your pocket during treatment.ha ha ha my foot after admitting the pateint your company shows the real face that you know better because you people sit and have party on that money and make this stupid rules later.you asked me to give it in written bose 2 times full incident written by me and submit to company and your inspection person who visited to our house, all the paper work is done by me behalf of your company, your company is paying them only to sit and drink tea and to irritate people.my name is prashant yadav no is 9990007566 any inquiry call me

I am one of holder of health insurance of other insurer, based on my experience of claim, i have given some useful infmn for your infmn & further action if need arises. I think that you have assumed as comment from insurer, which is not correct.

    Implant cost should be 100% reimbursed.
    Inaopropriate additional propotional cost
    INR 7962/- to be sanctioned.

    is imposed to patient on below headers -

    Professional charges - 8229/- ( why room tariff should affect the proff.charges, it should at max be INR 4000/-)
    OT charges - 2753/- ( why room tariff should affect the OT charges, revoke it)
    Medicine - As per bill it should be INR 6065/- and a sanction of INR 2000/- should be given.

    Total further sanction expected - INR 16715/-

    Please take this up with Star health Insurance and support.

      I was admitted in hospital for three days for back pain, and requested cashless which is approved, execp MRI scan which we have to claim separately. Normally we have to give stamped report and invoice of payment. But the stupidity they need MRI film too.. For what they need. I didn't understand. This supposed to be with the patient for their future investigations. Please don't elaborate the subjects and irritate people. Already your representative is visiting the patient. Then what you need more. Also hospital is make run patients rep. For moving files from one department to other...your monitorization on this subject would be highly appreciated. Thanks

        I am paying health insurance policy to My father from last three years Plus, and wanted to cataract operation to my father claim No. 0338180 policy no.009337.

        I was told by their agent and policy also they pay 50 % of the amount, when the time of operation i contacted and submit the cash less, they said due to rains in Chennai could not do, however can apply later, but it was rejected saying now they only give 20 K . I spent almost 60 K .

        Initially their employee Mr.Suresh told me that 40 K can be done, later he said 30 K, Now he gives reply do whatever u like .

        I want to go for consumer court even its money or time waste, but sure do not want to leave this people

          This is in regard with Star Health Senior Citizen Policy for my mother, insured amount is 2 Lakh. I had submitted the claim request on Oct 2017 (billed amount 4.4 lakhs). With multiple round of documentation ask from the claims department zonal office Mumbai.
          After 5 months of running around and follow up, I have been told the approved amount is a mere 22.7% coming up to 1 Lakh. I have asked for details on how the claims department ascertain the claim approved amount, There has been no information provided. If someone has faced a similar issue with StarHealth please drop me a mail at [protected]@gmail.com I would like to approach the Ministry of Heath and run a campaign to educate policy holders on why not to choose Star Health

            I purchased star health insurance from policy bazaar. But there were some exclusions so I immediately cancelled the policy. The company told me that your amount will be refunded in 10-12 days. But even today no amount has been refunded. No they are saying that they have deposited the amount but no amount has been deposited. Dont buy policy from star health

              पिछले वर्ष जुलाई महीने में मेरी मुलाकात "श्री आशुतोष श्रीवास्तव जी" आपके स्टार हेल्थ इन्शुरन्स के ऑफिस स्टाफ जो अपने आप को ब्रांच हेड बताते रहे है से हुई उन्होंने पालिसी से सम्बन्ध में मुझे समझाया और एक पालिसी लेने का आग्रह किया तो मैंने उन्हें दिनांक 20.07.2015 को 750.00 रुपये पालिसी के लिए दिया और उन्होंने कहा की इसकी पालिसी रसीद एक हफ्ते में आएगी उसके बाद आज दिनांक तक मुझे पालिसी रसीद नहीं मिली

                I am c.manigandan taking mediclaim for father and mother policy in past 3yrs through agent in t.nagar branch every year my father renwed the policy directly but agent not support any problem not satisfied the agent now cousin working in annanagar br they have doing all services so this year i have transfer the policy change the agent in annanagar br. Give the letter and cheque in annanagar br pls give Nov and transfer the policy and renew in my renewal date . cheque give on 31st jan 2017 in annanagar br pls hange and convert the policy Ihave submit auditingpurpose.

                    I have taken Star Health & Allied Insurance's MediClassic Policy (Individual) Insurance Policy on 22 - Dec - 2016 through online. Even after making so many calls they have send details of Medical test and its conducted on 10-Jan-2016. I have waited for all most 20 days to get a feedback from Star Health and on 1-Feb-2017 have raised a complaint (CR[protected]) with Star Heath regarding the policy. Even though i call them from 1-Feb to 10-Feb, i didn't get a response from Star Health about the policy.

                      Dear Sir/Madam,
                      Star insurance Insurance policy P/141211/01/2017/010080 of 15L . They have declined my cashless claim for a shoulder surgery by stating that it was preexisting. I had a severe fall from a cycle on jan22 2017 and immediately shown the doctor next day and after the MRI scan was advised a arthroscopic shoulder surgery which has been declined by the insurance company. Their argument is not convincing and I feel cheated by this company.Tomorrow they can decline any claims as pre-existing.

                        I had purchased star health family optima plan in the month of november but in between the process after medical diagnosis, I disapproved policy and sent mail to starhealth to discontinue it but now they are not entertaining my calls and not even replying to me.
                        Person who was looking after my policy and used to call me many times a day, now not responding to it.
                        This seems like fraudulent activity on their side.

                          I have submitted the original documents including x-Ray, Malaria Test Strip to Star health in September month
                          Query was raised by star health and requested the Complete Indoor case papers and Duration of the disease
                          Query raised documents was sent to Star health(Indira Nagaer Branch, Bangalore through DTDC courier) on September-26th-2016
                          Courier was received by Star health Insurance Indira Nagar branch, bangalore on 28th-September-2016
                          But the Above same courier documents was misplaced by Indira Nagar branch
                          Star health people said we have not received any courier from your side. Upon Showing proof they agreed and accepted that they received the documents and this was communicated on 23-October-2016
                          I have called couple of times for the claim status in the November an, December month(more than 20 times) and i got reply like documents are approved and Doctor will visit the Hospital/You home for the verification but nobody came and visited the hospital
                          Upon too many calls and mails On 27th-December-2016 they have requested again Chest X-Ray report and all original papers
                          Sent a mail communications happened between me and Star heath and proofs to Star health again about the missing documents(bfrom star health side)
                          Again i got the information from the star health like we have not received any X-Ray report
                          I have sent the mails again to star health and they accepted that X-ray was received by star health but X-Ray relates to Kiran.
                          I have requested Star health to provide the proof of that X-Ray report(relates to Kiran) and then they accepted and replied that they have received all the documents and claim under process(on Jan[protected]

                          But after 20 days again they sent claim rejection mail due to incomplete documents.

                            With reference to above mentioned policy, I would like to inform you that we do not had any per-existing disease at the inception of the policy on 20/10/2015 and almost one year has been passed since opting the policy. Now My wife Nishita Vyas got severe pain in her stomach on 9th Oct, 2016 late night after which we had rushed to Dr Madhavi Goel (Padmavati Maternity, Bhayander East, Thane) where she had given injection for pain relief and informed us go for the medical reports next day, Now after going through the medical reports my wife diagnosed with a Cyst in her left Ovary and Doctor suggested to go for immediate surgery or else there was a risk of Cyst torsion and it may threat to her life so we have decided to go for the Laparoscopy surgery as suggested by the doctor.

                            However I admitted my wife on Wednesday i.e. 12th Oct, 2016 to the above mentioned hospital as the Surgery was been scheduled on Thursday i.e.13th Oct, 2016 morning at 10 am and since the said hospital is tied up with your insurance company we had given all the policy documents for the approval of Cash Less Treatment. Now after admission in the late afternoon I received a call from your executive that we have rejected your approval for the claim on the basis that the said Complication is excluded and will be covered after two years from the inception of the policy and the same has been mentioned in the Terms and Conditions of the Policy documents.

                            Facts of the Case

                            At the time of selling the above mentioned policy Companies executive had only informed me the two things as follows,

                            1) Policy will come in force after completion of one month except Accident.

                            2) Pre-existing disease will be covered after two years.

                            Now on the basis of above mentioned conditions one month has already been passed since the inception of the policy and neither my wife was suffering from any pre-existing disease, Also none of company's executives had disclosed any information and facts regarding the Exclusions at the time of inception of the policy nor I had received any document specifying the Terms and Conditions i.e. their so called “Exclusions” along with the original Policy Documents and the soft copy of terms and policy mailed is not to be considered as a valid document since it was not digitally signed so they do not have any right to reject my claim unless they had sent me a hard copy of Terms and Policy list duly signed with original policy documents, also my policy is already in force.

                            Conclusion:

                            The above scenario clearly shows the company's intention to defraud the customers by selling the policy by giving fake & incomplete information which is not only against the business ethics but against the interest of the General Public as per the constitution, Also I got the information from google that many fraud cases has been registered against the said company in relation to Cheating and Defraud the Customers which proves the company's intention.


                            However the said matter was been taken up with their grievance redressal cell and subsequently to Insurance Ombudsman vide Complaint no INS/OMB//PUN-G[protected] where all the required documents was duly submitted and hearing was been held by the Insurance Ombudsman on 16/01/2017 in which i would like to inform you that the Respected Ombudsman had only favored the Insurance company where all the misconduct of the said insurance company such as incomplete communication, irresponsible behavior and inappropriate business ethics has been ignored and only mistakes of the innocent customer like me has been focused that why i had not asked for the original Terms & Condition documents when i received the policy and given the judgement in the company's favor dismissing the claim.

                            Sir I would like to convey that this is not a defeat of a common men but it is a defeat of our country's system where this type of fraudulent companies survives on the hard earned money of a common men.

                            Prayer :
                            Hope for your intervention in the above matter and direct the company to grant me a reimbursement of the medical expenses incurred amounting to Rs 76, 070/- along with an appropriate compensation for unnecessary harassment, details of communication with the ombudsman along with a copy of bills is enclosed herewith for your ready reference.

                            Medical Reports (MRI, Citi Scan, Sonography) 13, 500/-

                            Medical Reports (Blood Test and Cyst Test) 4, 070/-

                            Medicines as mentioned by Doctor along with dressing charges 1, 000/-

                                Yesterday, my brother in law had an heartattack so he was admitted to the nearest hospital .My sister(his wife ) had him insured through corporate policy.Even after providing all relevant docs, the tpa are asking irrelevant questions as why angiogram was done instead of other treatments which was but obvious done after doctors suggestion since ECG showed ST Depression.They need to understand the delicate sitution of the patient and the family members instead of asking them such questions and complicating and delaying the approval process
                                PS:Insurance is not free of cost.Employees account for that as CTC.Please be judicious

                                  Since last 5 years we are taking policies of our employees. We changed the sales persons 3 times for quick service issue.
                                  This time we are dealing the task through Mr. Rajendra Badgujar ([protected]) who is working under code of his wife.

                                  We have given a request on 25th Nov16 & after many calls reminders he NOT given us policy on 23rd Dec16 which we require as per our customer's (Siemens) requirement. So unavailability of policy they stopped entry to our engineering team of 22 as we fail to renew the gate pass due to policy not there.

                                  Now as per contract now our customer ll deduct Rs.11000 per day as a penal from our invoice. To save that Im given many calls & reminders but they not bother about the emergency.

                                  IF YOU ARE NOT TAKING CARE OF CUSTOMER WHO LL HENCE FORTH LL COME TO U. SO BY EXPERIENCE WE STARED SHIFTING OUR POLOCIES TO OTHER CO. THIS IS A DIRECT LOSS TO STAR HEALTH.
                                  Also Hadapsar Sr Br. Manager dont know about anything.
                                  Even he forwasrd a approved quote after 4 days after our 4 calls

                                    Medical report received 2oth of november, too late,
                                    As per report star health not agree for insurance,
                                    I ask for return of money on 29th of november,
                                    Till date money not received???[27th of december
                                    It is almost two month of money deposit to star health, ]

                                        I brought Red-Carpet Start Health Insurance online for my parents-in-laws on7th Jan'16. My father-in-law had an accident at our house and later he had admitted at Nursing Home and Shoulder has been operated on 22nd of July. We have submitted all the necessary document at local Star Insurance office. But till today we did not find any progress on the claim reimbursement process. Always from customer care, they are saying they need some more time.
