With Due Regards, I Vinod Nayak, would like to bring it to your attention on the un ethical practices adopted by Starhealth. Case History: We @ MarksMan healthcare Solutions wanted to avail the insurance for all our employees. We had get in touch with the tele sales of Starhealth for the quote. Below email which we have received from Saranya from the tele sales which clearly mentioned that the policy included Maternity Benefit. The quote was forwarded to Mr Mane who is a Sales Manager in the company( Mumbai- Dadar Brach). We had made the payment and the policy was activated as on 12th Jan 2015. Now we came to know that Maternity is not covered for the employees. When we wanted to take this up we were informed about cancelling the policy by Starhealth. This procedure clearly indicates that this is not the first case like this. It looks like Starhealth has mastered in such unethical activities, and if any one raise any issues on the ethical practices by Starhealth, they simply offer to cancel the policy and refund the money. I hope Ministry of Finance and IRDA will look into the same on utmost priority as thee practices might look larger that what we experience.     Sir I had two health policies of Rs 10 Lak with your company in hope that i will get the best treatment through you. But as I contacted the BAnsal hospital managment of Bhopal M.P got the information that Star health management is not interested in having the relation with their hospital, where as many of the other company were listed for cash less treatment. This is a serious loss for me at Bhopal if i will not be able to get the treatment from a good hospital. May please look at the matter so that we can continue our trust with your organization.       I have applied for health insurance and money got deducted on 8th jan 2015 but company neither responded back nor refunded back money. What IRDA a is doing for such cases where company is earning at the cost of customer and keeping money for long without any response Such CHOR company should be banned immediately and penalised heavily, . Their CEo should be arrested for such malpractice

        I have taken star Health policy of 2 LAC in 2013 Jan and upgrade it to 3 LAC on Jan 2014 and in May I have taken a claim of about 70, 000 for my wife Gall Bladder Stone operation, Now I want to upgrade policy to Rupees 5 Lac from last 7-8 days they are ignoring it and now they just called as said I can’t upgrade policy and its pure company decision whom ever company wish they can upgrade, no law or no where written this on website nor any document for it. My Policy Number is P/700002/01/2014/014462. Please help us to solve this.

            We started policy from star health insurance from year 2010 onwards but we had taken 3policies each for myself, my brother, my parents ...till 2014 there were 3 policies each . Now in 2014we decided to get all the policies merged so that the premium amount decreases as we hadnt made any cliam till date . And till date we have almost paif rs. 125000As premium. 24900*5:-. Now when we have lodged a claim the onsurance company is not ready to pay the damages as they say becoz the policy has merges the premium amount has reduced to 18000rs. We can not process the claim. Our agent mr. Danish pervez was also the one who had made us more money by giving us false hopes ans promoises as zyadya premium bharoge toh cliam jaldi milega... Would request you.to take some strict action so as to stop such frauds from happening

              today in the morning i wrote an email to you that i did not get my remain calim money from star health insurance co.. In the evening i got a call from this no. +91-[protected] Kasif / Ravi. he asked my bank details/ card no. / pin no. banks all details and he said they will put money in the evening in bank account. But doubt that how he got to know my contact no.and not sure whether he was from consumer forum or not.

              i think someone misusing your data. waiting your reply. do the needful.

                My parents took a Health insurance for Rs.3, 00000 in Star health and allied insurance co limited on 22 June 2012.For the past 3 years we have been paying the insurance premium of Rs.10208 .We have paid nearly 31000 as premium in this three years My illiterate parents took the insurance through an insurance agent. Recently, i accidentally found that the Date of birth of both my parents were incorrect.So we brought this issue to the insurance company's notice.After few weeks we came to know that the insurance was cancelled without any notice First, it was the mistake of the insurance company because they provided the insurance without getting any proofs for age and they have entered a wrong DOB in their records Its their duty to verify the age and provide the insurance.These people are money minded, they just want to make profit by pulling illiterate people like my parents and extract money from them Why should we suffer when those people don't do their jobs of providing insurance only after verifying the age with age proof?                   Hello Sir, This is w.r.t. to hospitalization claim for my father. We have taken a policy for mediclaim for my father, the policy no. being P/700002/01/2014/015691. My father was hospitalized due to Chest Pain in Mar 2014 in Fortis Hospital Kalyan. During hospitalization, cashless was rejected for reasons unknown. Now while claiming for medicalim hospitalization expenses, I'm just being harassed by asking this documents and that which we have provided but still they have not given the claim amount of approx Rs 29000/- The customer care executives just do not care for my claim status and everytime I call them either they laugh off or tell me that my status is not visible in system.                     Hi guys, Here i write a complaint/review against Star Allied Health Insurance Co. which is one of the most pathetic insurance companies i have ever come across with. Recently, i underwent an operation of Arthoscopy Bankart Lesion where my shoulder was dislocated due to the accident. Firstly, when i met with an accident on 06/06/14, i felt it was just a jerk and with a small pull back of my shoulder, the pain subsided and I DIDN'T GO TO THE DOCTOR which is quite human actually as you really don't realize what happens during the accident. The next time it repeated, i went to the doctor and got it checked. He asked for a surgery to be done, that's when i applied for Insurance claim with these arseholes and firstly they denied my cashless facility and sadly i arranged the money and got it operated. In the cashless claim, they mentioned they would reimburse as per merit and all documents were submitted to them post my operations for reimbursement. Then the b*****, decline the claim saying on Medical Grounds saying there was no evidence of accident on 6th which was mentioned to them earlier as i never went to the doctor on that date. This could have been further clarified by my Dr. who is supposedly on the best OPD doctors in India today. These GUYS ARE A SCAM AND I SUGGEST ALL OF YOU NOT TO TAKE INSURANCE POLICY FROM THESE GUYS, THEY WILL STAB YOU IN THE BACK AT THE LAST MOMENT. I HAVE GONE THROUGH THIS TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND ALSO CAME TO KNOW, THEY HAVE DONE THIS FOR MOST O[censored]S. All they do is TAKE the premium from you and when you NEED THEM, THEY WILL MAKE YOU RUN LIKE MAD DOGS AND THEN SIMPLY DENY THE CLAIM. My statement to all of you insurers, this is the last company you should signup with. You might just end up dead and they would still require evidence that you are dead. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANY OF MY FAMILIES OR CORPORTE ORGANIZATIONS WITH WHOM I WORK WITH. This policy was taken from policybazaar.com. Regards, Suhaib L.                       Policy no: P/191119/01/2014/004604 previous policy: P/191119/01/2013/003553 Last year for the same policy we paid : rs 15396, this year they asked us to make payment of rs 26966 and take a new policy. As per their new rules they forced us to upgrade our policy to a new policy paying more money to get the same desired services as the last policy.

                        It was such a horrible and the worst experience I had till date with a policy selling company like yours. Your employees have no etiquette how to talk or behave on phone while they are selling their policies. I got a call from this number- [protected]. I don't know the name of this and crazy female who talked to me regarding the star health insurance policy on 19th September, 2014 after which another employee shared the details with me and then this female called me up on 22nd Sept, 2014 to follow-up with me. I have never encountered such an ill-mannered, nonsense, and rude person in my life like this lady who was shouting on me and behaving in a totally unacceptable manner just because I told her that I am not planning to buy the policy at present and will paln for it later. After that she was cutting my phones when I called her back many times. She didn't have the guts to talk to me or pick up my phone. Just an advice from my side- Escalate this to your higher authority that they should do a background check before they hire their staff. To hell with your company, your policies and your staff. Shame on you guys. It is a sincere advice from my side to all the customers not to go for any policy or any thing being offered by this company. They are just good for nothing. Regards, Shalini

                            This idiotic company is harassing us by calling in every fifteen minutes to me from last 6 Months.
                            This company has been a problem to me.
                            They have called me thousand times.
                            Every day they call me 8-9 times with different numbers and the stupid intercom keeps me awaited on the waiting line, after that the person speaks about the insurance policy.

                            Even after saying no for many times, the day by day numbers of call is increasing.

                                First of All, This medi classic policy wasn't required to us, but we forced to purchase along with Diabetic safe policy.

                                This is an EXTRA burden to those who bought Diabetic safe policy.

                                Again, Star Health is raised premium almost doubled Rs 3500/- for Sum insured 1 Lakh to Rs 7000/- for sum insured1.5 Lakh.you said you got an approval from IRDA for same, Kindly provide me a copy of IRDA.

                                I'd like to see a copy of same.- Tier 1 and Tier 2 for Sum Insured 1.5 Lakh remains same
                                ( Why this difference for 1.5 Lakh with the rest slab.- Health checkup cost reimbursement on completion of block of 4 claim free years - USELESS for those who's SUM insured is 1.5 Lakh.

                                This means, many people come under 1.5 Lakh amount sum insured slab. Star health try to keep them in DARK.Instead of forcing this on all policies, you could given option to policy holder to opt or else, you must have obtained policy holder approval.

                                  Hello, My maternal uncle is in hostipal (SPS APOLLO LUDHIANA) suffering from sever brain Hemorrhage, and he has a valid health insurance from STAR HEALTH, on the very first day, I had informed them about this incident and even submitted all the necessary documents to the hospital which was forwarded to star health. They had said that claim is not possible because of pre-disease but that is no true, patient was not suffering from any disease previously and even the doctor at APOLLO hostipal confirmed that by writing to them. Then also they denied the claim with the same stupid reason. He is still on ventilator and we are not financially that hard to continue his treatment this way. I have contacted them many times but they are not listening. The claim number is 0218727. The name of the patient is Sanjay Gupta. He was admitted at Oswal hostipal on 6th Feb, 2014 from where he was shifted to SPS APOLLO HOSPITAL LUDHIANA. He is still in ICU on ventilator and besides taking care of him, I am going through all this. They are really fooling their customers. I hope some one can help me regarding this.                                   Ha, Ha, this is the biggest scam happening in India right under the IRDA's nose. EAch and every time, they have ripped helpless senior citizens with their policy and deny them their rightful claim with some bogus reason or the other. Sad state of affairs and there seems to be no recourse to this outright cheating and stealing. There are thousands and thousands of such cases going by some hospital reports, and in some places the hospitals too are in cohorts with these health insurance companies. It is better to save for your old age and health in a FD than to hand over your hard earned money to these goons who cause you so much mental anguish, trauma and harassment.

                                      Dear Sir/Madam,

                                      I have received from Star health denied with reason fax Letter on dtd 28-Dec-2013.

                                      In this letter they have indicated below details for your ready information.

                                      [On a scrutiny of the details furnished by you, we are of the opinion that the claim of insured-patient is not admissible under the above insurance policy issued to him for the following reason.
                                      There is non disclosure of pre existing disease - CAD/IHD/HTN PRESENT LONG BEFORE POLICY INCEPTION during inception of the policy - POLICY WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ISSUED IF DISCLOSED, PRESENT CLAIM THUS BECOMES NULL AND VOID.
                                      Hence, you request for authorization for cashless treatment of the above insured-patient is denied.]

                                      I have requested Grievance department that why you have denial without did any physical verification. They have revert me on dtd 03/01/2014 that Reopen request in cashless claim.

                                      Star Helath you have to clarify: what is meaning of your e-mail sent from you? and I have also intimated by E-mail that my mother's Discharged.

                                      During brought Insurance policy, Star health arranged Medical treatment for my parents and same report collected by Star heath from diagnostic Centre without any information to us and Star Health issued insurance policy on 2010. So, Where, Who & Why will have hiding these kind of written above diseases information for this policy.

                                      I have followed star health Grievance Procedure's but Grievance team late responded that written in BLUE for your ready references.

                                      At last, I have totally disappointed and hopeless as basis of their procedure that means Grievance department not responded positively. so that I am marked this E-mail to IRDA authority for Level-4 because of they have been disappointed me.

                                      Kindly do the needful and my mother was discharged from hospital on dtd 05/01/2014.

                                      This policy was started on 2010 to still continuing.

                                      Star Health And Allied Insurance Company Limited customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
                                      Dear Sir,


                                      Today Morning I have eagerly to check my status of Claimed as mentioned in aforesaid subject through your online portal.

                                      I have found 3nos. queries you have raised at your end.


                                      1. As per discharge summary patient is a know case of CAD-IWMI.kindly provide the previous treatment details, ECG, ECHO, when was CAD diagnosed? First consultation report.

                                      2. Letter from treating doctor regarding duration of RA, CAD- IWMI.previous treatment details of RA.

                                      3. Copy of indoor case papers. - Mandatory


                                      First, I have called +[protected] to your customer care (Receiver Name-Ms. Chanda) for clarification regarding above queries from your end.

                                      Then I have called to Cuttack branch, Mr Rajendra Sarangi, Mobile No.: +91-[protected] in same matter.


                                      Previous &amp; Present Claim details elucidate:

                                      I would like to inform you that My mother admitted on Dec. 2012 (not clearly remember) in M/s Kalyani Hospital, Gurgaon under Dr. R. S. Rawat (+[protected] and Star Health Field officer Dr. Saurav Sharma (+[protected] visited for Physical verification.

                                      After that I have submitted all the M/s Kalyani Hospital documents with duly filled Claim form to Star health Gurgaon Branch handover &amp; got received from Mr. Shivnath Mandal and Mr. Manish Bansal (+[protected].


                                      Since Dec, 2012 to 24th Dec, 2013, She (My Mother) were not getting any treatment outside medicals or diagnosis except medicine as prescribed by Dr. R. S Rawat.

                                      So I have fully re-checked our self regarding raised queries documents endow to Star Health. although we are hopeless cause do not have such documents.

                                      If my mother is feel ill then I have took immediately to nearer network hospital. First do the admission in hospital then start her treatment with informed to Health Insurance provider for Cashless facility. This is the treatment policy of my mother.

                                      So, I hope you will do the needful as soon as possible without any delay from your end.
