I would like to inform you that i have one rembrushment claim for my on dated 15 th feb 2016. The operation of my mom done at 24th feb 2016. After that i submitted all relavant document to the star health.In month of april16 the claim settlement team raised some quary which i submitted.
I am facing so much problem for arranged that paper because the hospital is so far from my place. But after all submission of paper, i was informed that my claim was rejected due to policy term and condition.
This is so shock me that after three month communication now star health company told this, why not earlier. Why star heath entertain my calim. Why you people asked so many paper. I think this is do intentionally.
O i would request to you that please resolve my issue as early as possible.

    Star health insurance is one of the worst health insurance company in the world.

    They collect money for insurance and said your claim is completed within 10 days

    But my father claim pending 3 month and after three month they said your claim was rejected.

    And i suggest all persons

    Please not accept star health insurance they said many things but not do one thing

    O please don't wast your money

    I give all poor star because of poor is last one if i give -0000

      My name is rajiv.And i am recently admitted in apollo jubilee hills for back pain related complaint.As usual hospital have done some routine investigations and after 2 days discharged, stating that i may have a lesion on dorsal vertebral column, and asked me to undergo contrast mri, which i rejected as i dont want to expose for too much radiation.

      Before i was admitted i filled a form at the hospital and also informed star health people.

      Policy start date: thu jan 28 00:00:00 ist 2016
      Policy end date: fri jan 27 00:00:00 ist 2017
      Premium amount: rs. 9120/-

      Bill was around 70k rupees for 2 days and it was rejected stating that its a pre existing disease.

      2 interesting statements to be noted here.

      1)apollo hospital doctors leaked a false info about me that it is a pre existing disease, which they them self contradict.

      2)because i lack confidence in apollo, i disagreed to undergo further treatment, doctors and star health "hand in glove".

      I have 4 other policies linked with star health.And i am religiously paying the premiums every year.

      So my question, why these hospitals and star insurance doing these dirty jobs?

        I was admitted in orchid hospital c-3/91-92, janakpuri, new delhi
        When i went for my problem in hospital at that time all star health insurance intructors were talkig very politely with me.
        When the time came for claim after 2 to 4 days then they denied my approval and made us excuse that uti diagnosis is done after 2 years of our policy
        Now i have paid the bill of 23, 140 then i called in star health insurance helpline
        They said you should contact to hospital ospital should have warn you first now no benifit i have got from the star health insurance

          I have taken a mediclaim insurance for my parents from STAR HEALTH starting February 2015, my mother was admitted to the hospital in the month of December for Acute Pyelonephritis, AKI, SAIO.

          The company took almost 35 days to revert on the claim status, finally after regular follow up I was informed that my claim was rejected due to the following reason:

          Although the present admission of the insured patient is for treatment of Pyelonephritis, AKI, SAIO, it is
          observed from the letter dated 06.02.2016 furnished by the son of the insured which is also countersigned by
          the insured patient and the discharge summary of Lok Hospital for the admission from 28.09.2007 to
          12.10.2007 furnished during the course of claim verification arranged by us, the insured patient has
          undergone total knee replacement surgery in 2007 for bilateral end stage OA which is prior to inception of
          medical insurance policy.
          At the time of inception of your policy which is from 21-FEB-2015 to 20-FEB-2016, you have not disclosed
          the above mentioned medical history/health details of the insured-person in the proposal form which
          amounts to misrepresentation/non-disclosure of material facts.

          what is the correlation between the two as the nee replacement is not a desease.

          I have sent them a response email and registered letter, however there has been no response the calim amount is for 2 lakhs.

          Can anyone help

            I had taken health policies for my senior citizen father, my mother, my family (my wife and my dependent child) and my parents-in-law from Star Health and Allied Insurance company.
            As I was making the payments, I was recorded as Promoter for the aforesaid policies.
            It had been a practice maintained by the Star Health's concerned person to inform us about the policy annual premium amount on the phone or in person and, collect the banker cheques for the policies annual premiums personally by him or his office boy from our residence. We had loyally paid the annual premium amounts of the policies without evening making a mere single medical claim because we had taken it for our future health cover.

            After we completed the mandatory 4 years initial waiting period the company persons stopped calling us for advising the annual premium amount and to collect the annual premium cheques from us.

            Initially we thought maybe the concerned person (a designated Sales Manager) would have paid the annual premium from his end itself due to his workload and would arrange collection of the amount from us once he is free from his workload (because in the past he had done such collection arrangements from his end).

            Like this the whole year passed by and finally the next year's premium time came but, still no one from Star Health and Allied Insurance company came to advise the premium amounts and collect the cheques for the same. Over the past several years a 'trust relation' had developed between our family and the Start Health and Allied Insurance company's relevant persons so we didn't doubted the company intention behind such avoidance.

            Finally one day I decided to call the Star Health and Allied Insurance Company’s relevant manager on his mobile number but it was not answered so I called the land line number of their office. It was answered and the concerned person said he would call me back once he is free from office work that day.

            Finally I was able to communicate with concerned Manager on phone and was shocked to know that he had not kept the track of our policies!
            When I countered him by asking that if he had not monitored then why none intimation (email, phone call or SMS) was sent to us regarding the policies premium amounts? Over this the manager replied that the company doesn't have a practice of intimating customers like the intimation way I had stated.

            The manager plainly informed me "your policies stands lapsed" at that time however; he assured that he will get them reactivated. I felt helpless on the phone and was left with no option than reluctantly believing his statement.

            The Manager sent his office boy to advise the annual premiums amounts and collect the cheques and this office boy then informed me that prior the annual premium due date he had casually messaged me on WhatsApp messenger but I didn't replied to it. Now somebody please tell me is WhatsApp an official way of intimating premium payment notifications to customers??
            This office boy also updated me that now I can't be the Promoter for the medical insurance policies of my Parents-In-Law for which again I had no option but helplessly agree to reactivate at least the remaining policies which had lapsed solely due to "LACK OF PROFESSIONAL POLICY PREMIUMS COMMUNICATION" practiced by Star Health and Allied Insurance company employees.

            Post this till date we are still waiting for any feedback from the Sales Manager or his office boy. Neither that have we had our health policies reactivated nor the refund cheques. We have realized that we have been cheated in a systematic way by the Star Health and Allied Insurance company so finally we decide to approach the Consumer Forum to seek justice.

            In today's polluted environment one thing which surely deteriorates with years is a human's health condition. After trusting Star Health and Allied Insurance Company what we have got is NO HEALTH COVER, LOST YEARS OF HEALTHY AGE and A DETERIORATED HUMAN HEALTH CONDITION AT HAND. My father was hospitalized and we lost him in July 2015 due to lack of funds for medical treatment and, we had tough time even to arrange his funeral at our native place. My father's medical expenses should be compensated by the company at least as per the policy terms and the company has to reactivate all our remaining health policies. The company needs to be penalized heavily for the trouble and hardship we have faced due to their act o[censored]nprofessional-ism.

              I am a Star health Insurance policy Holder. I underwent Treatment for dengue In Fortis hospital, Bangalore and after discussing with them sent a re-imbursement claim. They asked me to send it to Delhi. They received it and kept it from 13.1.2016 till February 2016 and then they sent it to their chennai office. The chennai office received it on 11.2.16. Till today 11.3.2016, I have not received any feedback from them. I am calling them and checking up. When I called them about 10 days back they told me that within one month of receipt of document they will settle. But one month is over. When I called them today I was told that it will take another 5 days. They have been stalling me.
              Please tell me what to do.

                I had filed my claim in the month of July 2015 while there was still a month to renew the policy, but Starhealth deliberately kept on asking same documents repeatedly and not informing me of rejection of my claim.

                Had Starhealth intimated me before renewal of policy i would not have paid Rs. 15, 846 as renewal premium and at least saved amount of Rs. 15, 846.00

                however Starhealth had intention of collecting premium amount before rejecting my claim so kept calling for renewal while no response was given on the status of claim apart from asking same documents again and again.

                This is a well planned act of cheating and fraud by star health

                i can provide chain of mails on this subject which clearly indicates deliberately delaying intimation of rejection of claim

                  Unfortunately, my wife slipped & got fractured leg for which doctor has
                  asked to operate post checking the MRI scan.


                  Now we got an update on claim stating it was pre-existing disease named
                  : Diseases of the musculoskeletal System and their complications
                  which is baseless.
                  & in their website the reason mentioned is again contradictory.

                  I have sent an email 7 days back & waiting for reply, need to file this with consumer forum, pls help.

                    This is with regards to my mediclaim policy (Policy No P/141125/01/2015/008741) which I last renewed on 13/01/2015. As i had purchased this policy through an agent, i used to get renewal notice every year and also get calls on my phone number. But this year I had changed my mobile number and also sent a phone number update requesting email to [protected]@starhealth.in, but nobody bothered about my email and also I forwarded the same email again but no response yet. However even if they were not able to reach me on phone, my Email id is still there and also my residential address also remains same. They didn't bother to Email me even. Fraud company, i'm definitely going to file a police complaint on this. They have cheated my money.I again called Jayanagar branch office and spoke to Ms. Neethu now she says my policy is expired and asking to pay and purchase a new policy. Stupid people cheating us, Now they are cheating my money which I paid as premium for the last 2 years. Fraud insurance company...

                      ID Card Number:[protected] and Intimation Number :CLI/2016/161200/0309059. I was admitted to hospital for 7 days at Sitaram Hospital. While applying for cashless claim that they rejected that patient is admitted without having any disease or sickness and they also mentioned that doctors at Sitaram Bhartia are fraud. I am wondering whether i am patient or star health. Now I unable to make my hospital payment ever after giving premium to star health. They are fraud and fooling their customers.

                      I am also attaching their stupid reports which they have asked from me. And they took 4 days to inform whether they are processing my payment or not. I am going file complaint in consumer court, IRDA and also submit FIR against them.

                      They are fooling customers. If they didnt give my hospital payment, I will make sure stop fooling customers and also shut down their services.

                      Access to health services is basic human right in India. I will also go to Human Rights Commission and Women commission as one of their agent and doctor has harassed me over phone.

                              Hi All, Name : Kanthaswamy D Consumer ID :[protected] Date : 13/12/2015 I was suffering from sever stomach pain, back pain and fever for quiet a long time, I thought of consult a doctor in Kims Hospital when i went to the hospital I gave my health card and consult the doctor and the doctor advised to admit in the hospital mean time I have informed the insurance company about the admission and they asked some query to filled by doctor and submit I did that in the day when i got admitted when i took the Insurance the agent told me any hospitalisation for 24 hours will be covered as cash less in the hospital listed in star health hospital list. between this one of the representative came from star and visited me in hospital and said they are processing the claim, I was in hospital for 8 days and the insurance company send me an email to hand over to me and in that it stated as denied. I was really stressed and called the customer care they keep saying i was not eligible for cashless treatment. They said i have to complete 2 yrs after joining the insurance this was informed me at the last minute I have to raise a fund of nearly 110000 for the hospitalisation bill. Those people from star helath insurance answered me in very hard tone they cannot provide any assistance in this and . I suffered a lot and cleared my bills and I have to go back to hospital after 10 days i dont know will this insurance company help me or not.and now I am planning for submit the bills for reimbursement from Insurance company but I dont have any hope they will help me in reimburse my bills. this is just my first step against Star health insurance . I an going to court fo filing a case against this Insurance company for the mental depression caused to me and not helping me in my bad situation at hospital.

                                Policy no: P/700001/01/2015/000298 customer ID:[protected] Claim No:0270018 Complain No: CR[protected] Name: Somenath Roy (Proposer) Reimbursement for the cost of treatment of Mr. Dharmadas Roy (Father) My father is currently suffering from cerebral attack. i)This is not a pre-existing disease. ii)I have filled-up the application form online in consultation with their executive Mrs Jaysudha (In the year 2013). iii) After paying 4 years premium as per law you are suppose to give me all claim but as I have already paid 3 premium and this is not a pre existing disease also, if you denied the claim it will be a serious contravention of insurance rules and law. iv)They have recently told me over telephone that after 24 month you give cashless pre existing disease also. Once again I mention this is not a pre existing disease. v)For getting cashless facility as well as reimbursement I have done this policy, but they used to dilly-dally in paying me cashless facility. Despite of several request they denied cashless treatment of my father So, I want to take legal resource.

                                    Policy no P/700002/01/2015/032142, recently my daughter has suffered from viral fever, 2nd time i had admitted my daughter in same hospital but first i got full claimed amount, 2nd time they have rejected my claimed, they are telling that Follicular Tonsillitis - Viral Fever diseases is does not cover in my first year policy, when i purchased this policy anywhere its not mentioned, Claimed was only Rs 4169 only

                                      Dear Sir, I am a customer of Star health medical insurance where-in I had purchased a medical insurance policy by the name "Mediclassic", bearing policy number P/700002/01/2014/012120, that is invogue till 05 December 2015, (unless renewed). I had forwarded a small enquiry about the insurance policy coverage. The query is :- "Whether the surgical procedures for treatment of the ailment "OBSTRUCTIVE SLEEP APNEA", namely Uvulo pharyngo plasmo plasty or UPPP, or RF Coblation etc, are covered under the "Mediclassic" medical insurance policy of Star Health or not?' The customer care and support team of Star health medical insurance have pended the matter for more than a month, providing answers that are irrelevant to the subject query. Major contention by the StarHealth team are as follows:- (a) Personal policy number to be provided to answer the query. (Same was provided, still no satisfactory answer.) (b) One has to actually fall ill and get admitted in the hospital to get a suitable answer. (c) Relevant medical documents to be processed for cashless treatment through a networked medical hospital, then only the query, whether a particular ailment is covered under a particular medical insurance policy or not, may be answered. The above answers are irrelevant and non-contextual to the subject query, since it is generic in nature. The above described action by the Star health team is deemed as failure to disclose and provide relevant information to a paying customer with a criminal intention of fleecing money, and it amounts to deficiency in services. It is requested that the matter may please be investigated and the defaulting insurance provider, that is Star health medical insurance, may please be directed to kindly provide the correct information with respect to the query raised forthwith.
