Swiggy — Charging more than the bill | |||||
I have experienced swiggy is giving a paper bill showing the right amount of gst 12% added but the app bill amount is more and hence they are charging an amount which is not reflected in the bill. I have uploaded the swiggy app bill amount is 228 whereas the paper bill amount is 211. The difference in the amount though not much but it is definitely a malpractice they are doing. The 2nd time i made the order cash on delivery and they refused to give me a bill. And i was contacted by swiggy [protected] to confirm whether i would like to cancel the order. I said no but i need the bill for the food to which swiggy replied that they would be unable to provide me with a bill and hence has to cancel the order. On top of that they charged me rs 75/- for the cancellation!. This is bloody loot! Was this information helpful? | |||||

Swiggy supports restuarants to do such mal practises, they help restuarants claim GST when the restaurant is not registered under gstin! I ordered from a restuarant called mr. Hongs in chennai, I ordered from them directly without using swiggy where I wasn't charged gst as they gave me receipt in which even the restaurants name wasn't printed. Next time when u ordered through swiggy I was charged gst and swiggy claimed that they don't have the bill from the restuarant and asked me to download it from their app! Even in that bill they have not mentioned the GST, when enquired about the same with swiggy, I didn't get any proper feedback yet! Swiggy keeps dodging me to give the gstin number for one whole week now. I suspect something really fishy here! I want to raise it to the next level, dono how to do the same!
For delivery to a place 2.5 km away from restaurant, Swiggy charged Rs. 50/-when the printed bill said Rs. 20/-. When asked what the additional Rs. 30/- was for they said that was the restaurant packing charge! However this 'packing' charge was not mentioned on the restaurant printed bill. When i mentioned this, custocare care said that concerned team will get back, however nobody got back.
If i am going to b charged so much for delivery, i'd rather order from restaurants directly.
