TATAs claim to never be in the news for negative things. But it was very shocking to see the kind of service that they provide.

I bought a TATA Docomo pre-paid SIM card from the gallery in Borivali West. My services were activated and I was having some trouble surfing the internet. I ignored it thinking it must be a temporary technical issue.

After a few days I started getting messages on my phone saying that my documents haven't been processed. I ignored it initially thinking that it does take a while for them to receive the papers. But later they sent me a message saying that my address proof (passport photocopy) wasn't accepted. No reason given.

I filled another form and submitted a new photocopy of my passport. However, this time all my outgoing calls were barred.

I took a half-day from work to go to the TATA Docomo gallery in Borivali East and the customer service executive was very rude and impolite to me and said that it would take minimum three days to get my services back.

When I didn't comply and when I went to the Borivali West gallery and when I raised my voice, one of the employees unbarred my outgoing calls within a second. I was happy that I could use my number once again.

Next day - back to square one! I have been deprived of my rights and I am not getting a proper service.

Why do people trust this TATA group so much? It is no better than any other money-minded, cunning business group which doesn't want to give a good service to the people.

      Sir,

      here again i come into same situation o[censored]nusual balance deduction, let i give you the details, i got an sms for my 69 gprs pack validity to be ended, on 4 sep 2012 in the night it was deactivated and in the night my total balance used remains to zero, then i recharged online Rs. 150/- on 05 sep 2012 and again recharge with Rs. 69/- for gprs online by the option of pay by your mobile balance, my balance remained to Rs. 87/- that time, after few hrs i got an sms of your rechage cannot be done due to insufficiant balance, i called customer care, they told that recharge successful you dont worry.

      On 6th sep evening i got an sms that Rs. 69 renewed and again Rs. 69/- deducted balance remained to Rs. 15/-, it means that i have to pay double of Rs. 69/- for using this service

      i called customer care firstly he told complaint registered i asked for complaint no. he told u will got an sms, i again told him the situation, he told i will transfer your call to senior, my call cuts automatically be their hands. then my call didnt connect to customer care.

      Today on 7th sep, in the morning i again called customer care, they told it is not updated yet, i told to register my complaint for balance deduction, they denied.

      I have the call recordings for further proofs.

      Kindly do the needful

      Tata Docomo — Regarding My Balance Deduction

      Hi,

      My name is Harish I am from Karnataka Region located in Bangalore.
      I am using TATA Docomo GSM mobile number. My number is [protected].

      The amount 149/- R.s are deducted from my account on Feb 28the and I given
      complaint so theey credited back only 130/- R.s but 19/- R.s are not refunded
      into my account already 16 days completed every day i am calling to customer
      care theey are saying theat withe in 24 hours thee balance will refund. But it is not yet happened till now.. Please take serious action on TATA Docomo.
      TATA Docomo service is worst service if theey continue theis type of service all customers will choose otheer network service providers.

      The people wouldn't use thee TATA Docomo down thee line.

      Worst worst worst service ever ever ever i see till now theis type of TATA Docomo service.

      Till now i called 28 times to customer care people theere is no response from theeir end. That's thee reason I am approaching TRAI.

      Please help me regarding theis. I want my balance ASAP.

      Tata Docomo — REGARDING BALANCE DEDUCTION

      I got my TATA Docomo no. a Rs 59 recharge so that I could make calls to Canada at 1p/sec. My scheme is valid till 26 march.This I have confirmed with their customer care representative. But for the past 2 days when I make a call to Canada the actual amount is being deducted as if no top-up has been done.I had to suffer a loss of around Rs 250 because of this. Kindly look into the matter as I have tried 10 times and their customer care representatives are not taking my call.My cell no. is [protected].

      Iam Hemanth and my mobile no is.[protected] and using Tata docomo service. My problem is that they have deducted Rs.52 from my account. when I asked for information about my balance deduction, I did not get correct reply and, even I did not get any message regarding the subscription.Who the hell gave right to deduct balance from my account.
      I want you to look in to the matter seriously or else I would look for this in consumer court.

        TATA PHOTON boasts about high speed Internet seriously, are they competing with carrier pigeons .they promise 3MBps and give 9kbps ,for days the thing stops connecting altogether,so much for the name tata.

              Hi,

              I would like to bring an unfair balance deduction which has affected me a lot. Recently, I have recharged for Rs.150 and got full TT. after two days, they have deducted Rs.99 for no reason and I still did not get any proper answer.

              Also, today they've deducted 20 rupees and I was not properly notified for why the money has been deducted.

              I tried to reach them through phone and while selecting the options to speak with the customer care rep was also not working at all. I have tried thrice and left it.

              Now, I would like you to put Rs.99 + Rs.20 into my mobile account.

              If this is not sorted out, I will sue them whoever responsible for it. Now I realize why people don't like this company at all.

              It's another instance !!!

              I would like to bring an unfair balance deduction which has affected me a lot. I am very much frustrated as this has happened second time. Recently, you have deducted Rs.101 (45+30+15+5+3+3) for no reason and I did not get any proper answer.

              Also, today they've deducted 5 rupees and I was not properly notified for why the money has been deducted as it shows only the deducted amount.

              I tried to reach you through phone and while selecting the options to speak with the customer care rep was also not working at all. I have tried twice and left it.

                This is not the first time I am lodging a complaint against TATA DOCOMO for unfair balance deduction.

                Here's another story,

                Yesterday I activated 50MB/5Rs gprs data usage pack which is valid for a day(until midnight 12:00 am), TATA DOCOMO unfairly deducted about 45Rs for data usage whereas I was still left with 1.5MB out of the 50MB Quota for the day.

                Their customer care as usual did not lodge any complaint. I called twice and lost another rupee in vain.

                My DOCOMO number is : [protected]

                I have a TATA PHOTON connection - [protected] & have a pending bill of 1000Rs, I am thinking not to pay this bill to teach TATA GROUP a lesson.

                I would strongly recommend everyone to "SAY NO TO TATA DOCOMO".

                To name a few reasons:

                1. Pathetic service
                2. 3rd class network.
                3. Big time fraud.

                so it's not only waste of time and money with TATA DOCOMO, but a mental harassment.

                Please Note : Mathematically if do not pay the Photon plus bill I will be at a gain of

                Rs1001 - Rs45 = Rs955

                Here's another story, My billing cycle is 7th to 6th of next month. So new bill starts with 7th. This is third time I am receiving a bill in which data use of 5th of last month had been added, not just 100 or 200, but of 1.2 GB !!, which costs to 600 rupees @ 0.5 per mb. Earlier they did this twice, which I ignored because it was of 50 to 60 mb only, but this time they thought I did not notice and they put 1.2 GB o[censored]sage into the new bill, as if I am stupid who should keep paying for their frauds.

                Their network service and speed sucks, speed is only high when you don't have to work, that is late night or very early morning. Whole day speed sucks. On many days there is no HSIA network for whole day, so I have to keep working on dialup speed whole day, what a shame.

                I tried calling them at customer, they don't even pick up. I emailed them, they say they forwarded the mail, but to no avail.

                They on website say we will give 25 rs if you show unfair bill, but when you call on the number, no one picks the phone. If you register the complaint on their webpage, after filling the form if you submit, it ll show "page does not work" WHAT A BUNCH OF clever cheaters. I have no respect for this company at all. I have two connections of them, each with credit limit of 5, 000. I thnk I wont pay and let them come after me chasing.

                So what I will do is when they come to my house to ask for bill, I ll give them 10 rupees per day to pay their 5000 each for each connection. So they learn will learn, what reciprocation is in terms of service and payment.

                I did this with reliance, they were ashamed and stopped coming LOL.

                on 11 august, 26 rupees automatically deducted from my mobile i.e.
                [protected]. when i asked to customer care they told me money had been
                deducted due to multiple session running when your data is lesser than 30
                MB.
                i am not understanding what is that and where this condition has been
                written.
                Why we can not use our data if 30 mb was remaining. It is a fraud, we have
                full permission to use data till last mb.

                    My docomo mobile no. is [protected]. I received message on 29/07/12 many times from docomo no. 'TA-610106' that benefits “only today 100 local t2t mins free for 30 days & 1p/6sec local t2t & 1p/3sec std t2t call rate @ Rs. 27 for 60 days instead of 30 days” are available for my number on 29/07/12. Accordingly, I recharged with Rs.27/- On 29/07/12 to avail the said facilities. However, I found that when I called to any tata local number, though my account was deducted @ 1p/6sec but 100 local tata to tata free minutes for 30 days as promised in the message was not credited. It was also not clear whether the said special recharge was applicable for 60 days instead of 30 days as promised in the sms. I sent complaint to them through mail on 30/07/12. After that, their executive called me on 08/08/12 at 16.20 and 16.30 hours from the phone no. [protected] and credited the free 100 local tata to tata talk time. He further informed that the said power recharge would be applicable for 60 days. But, surprisingly, I have found that the said benefit for t2t low call rates @ 1p/6sec has been ceased on 28/08/2012 i.e. after the completion of 30 days from the date of recharge. They charged my call to tata local no. at normal rate of 1p/Sec on 29/08/2012 charging Rs. 18.24/- for 1824 sec local t2t call incurring a loss of Rs. 15/-. They have therefore compelled me to recharge with Rs 27/- again to avail the t2t reduced call rate benefit for 30 days and I have recharged with Rs. 27/- On 30/08/2012. Thus I have suffered a loss of total Rs. 42/-(Rs.15+Rs.27).

                    They are giving false promise. Even their executives are giving false information harassing the customer. I, therefore, request tata docomo to credit me the amount i.e. Rs. 42/-Which I have incurred loss due to their false promise.

As per the plan mentioned on the website call rates will be 1ps/2 seconds but actual call rates for 1st minute is 2ps/seconds after that its 1ps/2seconds. When i asked customer care they told its your mistake that you recharged from website. And now i want to move to different plan but they are telling its not possible, you have to complete the validity of this plan than only you can move to other one.

I would like to register a complaint that everytime my balance is deducted from my main balance for surfing net although i have recharge for net and got net balance yesterday around rs.100 was deducted from my main balance and i dont know for what as cc is not attending my call so i request you to refund my balance back, day before yesterday also rs.75 was deducted from my balance and the reason they told was my gprs balance was over although it was showing that i got. 37mb data left so i request you to refund my balance as this thing is not fair.also a new service is activated on my no.called mvc and they charge me rs.5O for that and also barred me from calling to coustomer care please take legal action and help me.

                          We had paid a refundable deposit of Rs.2000 towards ISD activation to Tata Docomo in 2011. But when we went to surrender the connection and get back the deposit, their system did not reflect any such amount or deposits that are refundable to us.

                          We produced a receipt for the same duly stamped and signed by a Ms. Shalini, an employee who worked at Tata Docomo Panjagutta during that period.

                          They promised to get back to us on why it was not reflecting in their system as well as on how we can get our refund back. Sadly, we were moving out of Hyderabad on an assignment for a short while and was not in a position to run behind this. But until now. they have not only mailed us or called us but are not even responding to our emails. We have no idea what to do!

                          If they can take bill payments over the counter and give connections in a day, I am sure they must not idellay find it too difficult to give us back money that's due to us in at least a month's time. Are we asking for too much?

                            I have ported in from uninor to docomo, with expectations, we have 4 numbers got into docomo from uninor, but the first day itself they deducted Rs.3 for breaking news, and i cancelled it by calling to 198. disappointed, that doesnt stops there. today morning i got sms that Rs.20 have been activated for GPRS 750 MB, which i have not activated, by prepaid balance got deducted. when i asked 121, 198, they said i have activated it. but i do not use GPRS in mobile, for which i have been charged, please credit back Rs.20 in my account of mobile number [protected] (TN circle), We had excellent relationship with uninor, not an single rupee had been deducted without our knowledge , in all 4 numbers. But now i feel, i have made mistake by opting for docomo. credit back the Rs,20 which i have not opted.

                            I do not want any VAS SMS, or message displayed in my number

                            The weird thing is i have already been got activated GPRS without my consent on 4/9/12, with days validity, am i fool to again activate GPRS on 7/9/12, which i have not used an single byte, i never ever browse net in mobile, i complained to 198 on 7/9/12 on second GPRS pack deduction, while my first complaint is in process,

                            the same evening at 5.21 pm i got another Rs.30 got deducted for Mdeals pack, i dont want any of VAS from docomo, i was happy user in uninor for about an year, within 2-3 weeks after shifting to docomo, i lost my money about Rs.70, I need this Rs.70 back, and i do not want to receive any more VAS,
                            give me the nodal officer email, or appelatte authority, so that i can escalate this matter, by whatever means possible, by facebook, twitter etc. I have raised the complaint of facebook, but no response from your side, i think you will just reply only when anyone praises your network.

                            these are sms i got from docomo after activation, on4/9/12, the balance was about Rs.183, after receiving the GPRS SMS, the balance had gone down to Rs.163, again on 7/9/12, after getting GPRS STV 20 sms, the balance got down to Rs.143. on 7/9/12.

                            we use STV 198 to make calls(almost local calls), so the main balance will be reserved for STD calls/SMS. but we often use only local calls
                            Still no result for my complaint?, I think Docomo is not serious is accepting and resolving complaints, it just wants money
                            The complaint have been resolved through online chat of customer care of docomo, though they took time, for about 3 weeks, but the complaint have been resolved, and amount fully refunded, one by one. Thanks for serious customer care representatives, who took care on my complaints, the persons in chat session on docomo is helpful, unlike those in 121 or 198,

                                I activate Rs69 for 2,5 Gig for 1 month but I tried to test a 3G connection for a day and the old plan of 2G disappeared and after many complains, TATA DOCOMO told me by the RULES ( I did not find where is write it) when I activate a new plan the old LAPSES.

                                I asked:
                                1- Can you show me where in your website I can find this RULES?
                                2- If my Rs69 lapsed, is it on the trash or just with TATA DOCOMO?

                                I still waiting the answer and probably I will not receive because I have received 3 contradictory answer and I think the best way is give up TATA DOCOMO because this is not the first time that TATA DOCOMO charge incorrectly.

                                  Even after many efforts your Customer service executives are hesitant to give your contact details so I have to get the same from some other source.

                                  I have switched from Airtel to TATA DOCOMO about 4 months ago and during this short period I have few problems as mentioned below -

                                  1. I am using TATA DOCOMO internet by activating 48 Rs. Pack and during the pack validity is able to use only around 30 MB using 4-5 hours of internet in a day.

                                  On 25th Dec11 I have activated 1 day Internet pack with 50 MB usage and have got the confirmation message from TATA DOCOMO, but after routine surfing for around 2-3 hours I checked my balance and it is deducted for around Rs. 110 for data usage. I am surprised how even after activating Rs. 5 pack for 50 MB this deduction happens from my account.

                                  2. On a find day ( i.e. 20/01/2012) I got a message from TATA DOCOMO that

                                  "Rs3000 ka assured GIFT paye! Aaj hi SMS karein TICKET 52121 (Toll Free) aur 24 hrs mai paye Rs3000 ka assured GIFT! Bina Koi Condition. Offer sirf aaj ke liye!"

                                  I had sent the message as per the instruction on the same day but have not received any kind of gift from TATA DOCOMO. To my surprise again TATA DOCOMO backed out from their commitment.

                                  3. Continuing the tradition TATA DOCOMO sent me a message on 28/01/12 that " Thank you for renewing Mirchi Mobile Service.You have been charged Rs10 for 10Days valid till 07/02/12.Dial 59830(TollFree).To unsubscribe,dial 155223 or SMS S"

                                  I had dialed immediately on 59830 and wait for many minutes to get the information on the Value added services activated on my Number so that I can get the same deactivated. After half an hour of hard work I got information that there is no service activated on my Number .

                                  Even After that confirmation Rs. 10 is deducted from my account.

                                  Kindly advise should I use this number as my primary Number. If yes, when TATA completes its commitment as mentioned above and retain its brand value.

                                    I have been requesting to disconnect my Tata Phone + data card [protected] for the past 2 months I am always told my bills clearance , this loop or cycle of bill clearance never ends. I call up customer care no. they tell me to gift to someone else, new plan etc. Its really pathetic. Hope their customer care executive are not educated enough to understand the meaning of DISCONNECT / DISCONTINUE.


                                    Is there any way to get my datacard disconnect or should I just ignore the bill that I get every month.

                                      iam facing serious problem with the TATA Docomo prepaid connection, daily unnecessarily , without any activation or usage my amount is getting dedected, when checked with customer care -the response is as usual ( will come back to you ) till this that no care is taken for the customers in this services,
                                      they are very smart in replay saying - it will be checked and deactivated immediately ...but the result is the same.....for the past one month amount for photoshoot has been detected from by account , for which i have subscribed for ....... my hard earned rupees are stolen or unauthorised detected from my account....
                                      i don't know why this type of cheating and culprit activities are done......


                                      also the SMS which we receive from TATA is also very tricky.... saying " we are introduction this special facility for you by just -----rs, and if don't like ple send SMS :"don't like " to the CC No....
                                      my question is - when you get 100 SMS daily -is this our job to read all the SMS and keep replaying ...people tend to neglect the CC SMS... TATA services that advantage of the same by sending such SMS.....

                                      i would say its white Collete day light roberrly......

                                      i would be happy if i have given these amount to any beggars.... instead this robbers.

                                      Tata Docomo — Unnecessarily Deducting Amount

                                      This is the 1st time i'm mailing u ppl, but fr this same issue i have spoken to your customer care more then 3-4 times but the problem still exist. I am really fed up with this issue & feel to stop using this Docomo connection itself. 2months backs the Job alert has been activated by mistake & everytime i recharge i gets deducted fully & i spoke to your people & took the Deactivation code & deactivated but agin i had to face the same problem again & agin. & Even today from mrng i hv told about he same issue to ur ppl that is last night i had recharged for 30Rs & i had made no calls or msg bt now i have only 1.70ps. PLS pls pls take action at the earliest & try to refund my amount back, plssssssssssssss
                                      Docomo has no deactivation codes... Once you loose your money forget about getting you money back... Thats how the Docomo works.

It was working absolutely fine, untill i went out of station for a month, after coming back from which it showed 'Sim card registration failed'.
