I bought a Tata Indigo when it was newly introduced to Sri Lanka through Dimo (Tata agent). This car started giving trouble in the first 6 months when it was used. The problem was the Air conditioner. Took it to Dimo and they said nothing wrong!!! Time to time the engine has been given trouble and Dimo does not carry all spare parts. What ever the spare parts they do have are sold at exhorbitant prices. I complained this to Tata India and as of now nothing has happened. Dimo still doing the same. Now the fuel injector is giving trouble and Dimo says the rice of this unit is Rs.65,000/=. We bought this car for Rs.1,500,000.00 and the cost of the fuel injector is nearly 4.5% of the total value of the car. They claim that no replacement parts are available for the fuel injector and we need to buy the complete kit for which they can rip us off!!!

I sincerely hope that Tata India will look into the plight of the tata users in Sri Lanka. When we bought this car, we thought it is a common man's car. Now to see this is more expensive than maintaining a Crysler!!! As far as I know there is a FTA between India and Sri Lanka where Indian goods are imported at reduced tax. Dimo is ripping us from top to bottom and Ranjith Pandithge is thriving in business with poor people's money!!!

    Hello,

    I purchased a samsung product and got a voucher of tata photon 10GB free offer for 3 months.
    So, I purchased tata photon device on 11th Dec 2010. I had to take Rs 750/month plan to use the 10GB free usage option. So, I took Rs 750/month plan.

    My photon number is [protected].

    I received a bill in january and I did not see any details about
    - how much I have used out of 10GB
    - how much is remaining
    - till when it is valid

    I sent a mail to customer care asking these details, but no response.
    I called up customer care many times and I was told that there is no system to maintain these free usage details and we have to manually calculate every month from the bill to know how much is used and how much is remaining out of 10 GB (pathetic, no system in place for maintaining this even though they give such offers !!!)

    I again called up customer care later and I was told that I can use 10GB till 3 months or till 11th March along with 2GB free every month (my plan is 2GB - Rs 750),
    So, in 3 months, I can use 10+2+2+2 = 16 GB.

    I used it for 2 more months and in March, my connection was BLOCKED for excess usage than my credit limit !!!
    When called up, I was told that my 10 GB free usage will be calculated only at the end of billing cycle and hence usage was shown as exceeding the limit. I was made to pay Rs 2000 to re-activate it and was told that it will be discounted when the bill gets generated (STRANGE again).

    When I got my latest bill (2nd April), it gave me a SHOCK, as the 10GB free usage was not considered at all and I was billed for my total usage (just excluding 2GB free as per my rate plan).

    So, my current bill is Rs 3664 (out of which I have paid 2000 hoping to get it adjusted) without considering the 10GB free usage.

    In the last 3 months, I have called up customer care plenty of times, mailed them plenty of times, for details on my usage. But, none of them know the correct details of how this free usage works. Everyone has their own stories.

    Some tell me that I can use 10 GB in a single day or with in 90 days (3 months) when ever I want.
    Some tell me that 10GB is prorated for 3 months with 3300+ MB free usage per month.

    But now, when I called up customer care after getting the huge bill, the customer care guys told me that 10GB free period was completed in February itself as it was for 3 billing cycles (December, January and February) and not for 3 months !!!! Even thought I got my connection on 11th Dec, I was considered to have used 1 month out of 3 months free usage of 10 GB (Strange again !!!!)

    So, I am now charged heavily for the usage which was supposed to be free !

    Inspite of being cautious, I am now in helpless condition because of lack of correct information in the bills and because of wrong information given by the customer care guys.
    And because of trusting the tata group and buying Tata Photon.

    This is pure cheating and I don't deserve to be fooled like this !!!

    i agree with you the people of tata photon group are only a bunch of thugs and they can only be stopped from fooling others by mass campaign .you should immediately sue them in consumer court and publish it in the paper on your own responsibility
    I have been trying helplessly in getting this resolved, every time the customer care guys listen to my complaint and pause the call saying they will verify, but the call gets DISCONNECTED ... EVERY TIME ... they will not even call back even though they have my number registered. I have to again call up and tell the whole story to a new person ...

    No body called me from customer care after this compliant ... why can' t they call again if Im not reachable ... if we don't pay the bill on time, they will call so many times .. why not when I have a complaint ???

    I don't really know how to deal with this ...
    If you search on web, there are many people with lots of problems with TATA services.
    Is there a consumer court which really help people like us ???

    i got my problem resolved only after 1 month of serious following up them in their office and finally scolding them and threatening them in their office itself for legal and social actions

      sir,
      i am getting very low speed. i am paying for 3.2mbps speed but getting 345kbps speed...
      when i went for complain to tata docomo site,,, it shows that' page is corrupt and when goes for online chat they told that they cannot deal with this issue as a technical problem and suggest to call [protected]....
      when i called der and try to talk with cc executive it tunes that this number isnot valid.....
      please help with this issue immediately.

        I bought TATA DOCOMO 3G eStick (Broadband) in month of Dec 2010. The speed use to rise and fall ever since I bought. But atleast it was working.Suddenly in month of Feb-Mar 2011, it stopped working completely. I called the support team, they came to my house and couldn't resolve the isssue and told me somebody will contact you from network team. I never got any call from TATA DOCOMO support team. I called and they told we can't get connectivity in your area so page is not opening. If I put the same SIM in mobile phone, I get full connectivity. Also on laptop, it shows full connectivity. I have spend 3000 rs for this instrument.
        I don't know how TATA is doing such kind of business. TATA was one of the best business group in Indian history.Not sure why they have changed business principles.

          i am from vadodara gujarat. i have been using tata docomo internet services for long time now. i was receiving good speed of around 70 to 80 kbps. but from last one and half months i have been receiving speeds ranging from 7 to 15 kbps only. i have been calling customer care executives and they are not responding to me properly. they keep on barring my call so that i am not able to talk to the executives again. i visited the tata experience centre near my place and they checked settings on my handset and they were fine. they even inserted another sim card in my handset and the speed they received was good (90 to 100kbps). and i inserted my sim card in another handset and still i received speed ranging from 7 to 15kbps. on recommendation from the tata experience centre, i have mailed to nodal officer (gujarat) 5 times and i have been assured of resolution all the times but havent received any yet. i may have called customer care 50 times by now, the gprs technical dept. 30 times and have visited the tata experience store atleast 20 times. still i my problem has not been resolved. tell me what should i do nw?

            I cant get connected to the 3G service of TATA DOCOMO even when i activated the service
            and recharged my sim card with appropriate 3G data pack. with the use of a 3G usb modem
            i tried several times to get connected to the UMTS network but failed getting an error dial up failed.
            i talked to customer care several times but they did'nt help me rather they blocked my number.
            i lodged a complaint regarding this to TATA DOCOMO and also contacted them several times by email
            but even then they didn't resolve the problem. they only reply to the email saying sorry for the
            inconvenience.

            I TALKED TO THE CUSTOMER CARE OF TATA DOCOMO. THEY ARE SAYING THAT THEY DON'T SUPPORT USB MODEMS OTHER THEN PROVIDED BY TATA DOCOMO. I COMPLETELY DISAGREE WITH THE SOLUTION PROVIDED BY THE CUSTOMER CARE..THEN HOW IS IT POSSIBLE TO USE THE 3G SERVICES IN MOBILE PHONE AND NOT IN USB DONGLES??? TOTALLY FALSE REPLY FROM TATA DOCOMO.

                I called the customer care number for Tata Docomo 3G e-stick services and registered a complaint more than a week before and the executive told me that my problem will be sorted out in 24 hours.But till now i have not even received a call regarding the problem.They don't provide any service.My internet speed is most of the time is 0.00 kbps and also it gets disconnected more often than it gets connected. More than half of a month is wasted due to this problem. My complaint number is wk3g10043103 and my mobile number is [protected].
                Please don't buy Tata Docomo... Pathetic internet speeds. I also have a 7.2 mbps connection. Those people showed me 6 mbps SPEED in the DEMO in my area...
                The actual product when purchased doesn't even deliver 1 mbps properly...!!!

                And the pathetic on the callback told me that it is upto 7.2 mbps... so that means it can be any speed between 0 to 7.2... Can you believe these ********??

                In exchange of 1400/ month, all I get is occassional 3 mbps, and rest of the time, same mobile gprs speeds!?!?!?

                      I have been using tata docomo service from past 18 months, I had treated well but now a days from the past 2 months i've been facing problem as the service is deducting my preapaid amount and was downloading some Java Game called MCPACK recently, and last month as Java Game xyz.. As i call to customer care there are been saying that our data has not been updated so u can call up in the morning so that we can say the details... Last time i called to customer care and they had said that i've downloaded the game and my handset does not support the software... As first time i kept quite listening to them but again after 15 days again at the same time as 2am my amount has been deducted by Rs. 72/- the same thing happened last time.. I'm not getting the perfect responce from the customer care.. Hope you will help me...

                        TATA DOCOMO is the worst GPRS provider in India, at least in Kerala. Also their altogether attitude towards hearing and solving customers complaints is undoubtedly the worst in India.
                        Not much to say, their "Nodal Officer" Renu Moncy leads from the front with their infamous "Customer Service".
                        I was promised that I will get a speed of around 50KBps speed (not 50kbps) when I called the customer care. But by the grace of the "great company" and their efficient network I was able to get a speed of 3 KBps even though I was getting good signal. I called the customer care in wane for a number of times, at last they give me a resolution time which was a stunning one, "the issue will be resolved after 6 months", hurray "TATA DOCOMO", it's really a great company.
                        After that I called their Nodal Officer for my issue. I got the same resolution time from her too.
                        What you people think about this Great Public "Serving" company.
                        If we call the CC for this issue for more than 3 times they will bar your calls indefinitely. Nice customer service, is it?

                        From now on I will try my level best to discourage people from taking TATA DOCOMO connection.

                        One more thing I had to refresh the page about 15 time to load it properly to write this complaint.
                        I hope not. You people are changing your mind because it's going on public. If you are really are into resolving my issue first resolve it and then comment.
                        I am commenting like this because I have waited enough.
                        TATA DOCOMO did not take any action to resolve my issue even after making such a false promise.

                        -Worst network
                        -Frequent call drops (even in full network), atleast 20-25 call drops a day

                        I need to move out of this place in 2 months so i m stuck with DOCOMO.

                        STRICT NO NO for DOCOMO to any new user

                        Finally I have planned to swap my connection. An operator who has much better customer service which you people even cannot dream of and who has good data speed.

                        TATA DOCOMO the worst in India.
                        Not only in Kerala, it is worst even in Bangalore. I moved from Vodafone to Tata Docomo only because Vodafone has not started 3G services in Bangalore. Whenever i try to connect for my Nokia messaging service using my Nokia E72, it doesn't connect at all. Out of 24 hours, it connect just for 15 minutes. I'll move back to Vodafone again once 3 months limitation gets over.
                        That will be good for you...Docomo always the worst in india

                          month valadity for facebook or orkut with

                          i am helping docomo and they are not concerned about their profit.I should change the impression that I had in mind about DOCOMO.plz take serious action against the website they are illegaly posting tricks to use the internet at free of cost and they are exploiting the loopholes of the company plz do something regarding that.

                              Hello Sir.
                              I am Sandeep Kumar, a TATA DOCOMO GSM PREPAID customer with mobile no. [protected], purchased about a year back with providing the address proof (Sandeep Kumar, # 11A, 3rd A Cross, Seethappa Layout, Mannorayanapalya, R.T.Nagar Post, Bangalore – 32) and also I am residing at the same address.

                              I had logged in to the Tata Docomo Online Account (http://www.tatatele.in/myaccountgsm/index.jsp) But i was surprised to see that my address has been wrongly mentioned for which in no way I am responsible. It is showing as “Gopalapura, Bangalore, Bangalore, Blr, Karnataka-560001” which is not my address at all (it does not even show any sense of address) and I have never given this address when I purchased the Tata Docomo GSM SIM [protected]. But don’t know were it has went wrong.

                              On[protected], regarding this, from my email id ([protected]@yahoo.com) I had complained to Tata Docomo’s online customer care service “[protected]@tatadocomo.com” to solve the issue. The same day they replied via mail and requested me to “resubmit” my documents at the nearest TATA DOCOMO outlet.

                              As per their request, on[protected], I resubmitted my documents with the address (Sandeep Kumar, # 11A, 3rd A Cross, Seethappa Layout, Mannorayanapalya, R.T.Nagar Post, Bangalore – 32) along with my Address Proof (Driving Licence No. KA09/529/2002) at Tata Docomo Outlet, Padmavathi Agencies, Banasawadi Main Road, Maruthi Seva Nagar, Bangalore.

                              After resubmitting my documents, the same day, I mailed them with the scanned attachments of the acknowledgements given by Tata Docomo Outlet, Padmavathi Agencies, Banasawadi Main Road, M.S.Nagar, Bangalore, and told them to consider the address that has been given as the proof and sort out the issue.

                              On[protected], an online customer care executive mailed me and requested me to bear with them, as it would take 72 hours to get updated my name and address in the records.

                              Today it is[protected] and yet the issue is not solved. Still an unknown address is reflecting in Tata Docomo Online account (http://www.tatatele.in/myaccountgsm/index.jsp.) I have done my responsibility without fail and I am not a stupid to do it. I just want it to be transparent. But I am not able to understand why the name and address has not yet been corrected in their records. Why are they neglecting such an “important and sensitive” issue? Are they really concerned?

                              Hence I kindly request that my address to be corrected in all the records of Tata Docomo account of my mobile number [protected], and sort out the issue immediately.

                              With reference to my above complaint, i received a feed back from an online customer care executive on[protected] at 04:07 P.M. and has requested to coordinate with the retailer to whom I have submitted the documents so that retailer can forward my documents to the TATA DOCOMO dealer.

                              On[protected] they had told me to resubmit my documents to the TATA DOCOMO Outlet. I did it on[protected] as they said, travelling 10 kms. away from my home. They are saying that they have already forwarded my documents.

                              ARE ALL THESE GUYS KIDDING? WHAT IS THE GUARANTEE THAT THE SAME MISTAKE DOESN’T REPEAT?
                              I BELIEVE TATA DOCOMO OUTLET IS A HIGHER OFFICE THAN ANY OF THE RETAILER.

                              What about the documents that i have submitted when purchasing the SIM (That retailer is 17 kms. away from my home). What about the documents that I have resubmitted travelling 10kms. away from my home on[protected]? Does those documents submitted, have no value? Are that been misused? Do they think I dont have any better work to do? I have done enough. I just wanted to be TRANSPARENT. I feel I am been punished for that.

                              If the concerned person of TATA DOCOMO is not yet satisfied to solve the isssue, I kindly request them to send one responsible Executive personally from TATA DOCOMO to my residing address (Sandeep Kumar, No 11A, 3rd 'A" Cross, Seethappa Layout, Mannarayanapalya, R.T. Nagar Post, Bangalore - 32), “verify” and “collect” all the records (and also acknowledge the same) that are required to solve the issue. Let that executive make sure, that he calls me to my mobile number [protected], before coming.
                              I am not able to understand what's happening?
                              Why are they not responding? Isn't anyone from TATA DOCOMO concerned with this issue?
                              Have they turned blind? Are they doing it purposefully? What is their intention?
                              I have the same problem with my mobile number [protected]. I have resubmitted my documents and you people say you need 15 days to update a mistake from your side! For your information, both my name and address has been update wrong in the tata docomo website. Really scary. Retailers are creating havoc and Docomo does not care. I resubmitted my at the bangalore koramangala office, my application #[protected]. horrible situation to be in, identity theft!!!.
                              Now my issue is solved (still slight spelling mistakes in my address, due to the customer care executives typing problem).

                              With reference to all the above documents i provided and all the above communications, and also after many communication with the TATA DOCOMO Customer care executives, I thought my problem regarding address issue was solved, as the mistake done by them in my address in TATA DOCOMO online website "http://www.tatadocomo.com/myaccount.aspx" was corrected by them to "Sandeep Kumar, # 11A, 3rd A Cross, Seethappa Layout, Mannorayanapalya, R.T.Nagar Post, Bangalore – 32" (as per the documents I had provided).

                              If they had any issues even after that, on[protected] I had requested them to kindly send one responsible Executive personally from TATA DOCOMO to my residing address (Sandeep Kumar, No 11A, 3rd 'A" Cross, Seethappa Layout, Mannarayanapalya, R.T. Nagar Post, Bangalore - 32), “verify” and “collect” all the records (and also acknowledge the same) that are required to solve the issue.

                              But to a great surprise, on[protected] morning, I received a message from TATA DOCOMO that "Hi, documents provided for ur TATA DOCOMO connection are incorrect. Pls visit any of our showrooms & submit valid documents to avoid disconnections of services".

                              I am not able to understand why TATA DOCOMO is giving such a trouble to a customer. While I have provided the Xerox copy of my Driving License that has been issued by the Department that belongs to Government of Karnataka, and is widely accepted, how can TATA DOCOMO blindly say that the documents provided by me is incorrect and asking me to resubmit my documents again? What type of documents they want? Why should I "RESUBMIT AGAIN"?


                              I want TATA DOCOMO to stop giving unnecessary trouble to me and stop threatening me of disconnecting the services of my mobile number [protected].

                                    This is pathetic to understand that a service company has forgotten to give service from past 15 days my 3g data card speed is very slow connection mn am using prepaid connection where every is accountable for the rent i pay and i use net daily why are u all atleast not updating me about the process of making this proper and why are your call centres so poorly maintained this is an very bad service am really upset as i dont know wer to contact

                                        This complaint is with regards to TATA photon connection ,details below: A/C [protected] & Tata Indicom No [protected] in Name of I. Mohammed Riaz (Elder Brother) I had taken this connection in April,2010 with high expectations from TATA brand. But to my surprise the connectivity and service has been pathetic.
                                        Well I have taken this connecton in Chennai, since I had to work from home. Now I have shifted to Madurai. I stay in Thirupparankundram. To my horror when I tried to login, there was no network in my residence. I called up customer care to hear that there is no connectivity at my residence, I was left with no option to for cancel the connection immediately. I went to TATA PHOTON Shop on 14/03/2011 at Madurai Branch, but there is no proper response from the customer care executive, then I called to toll free no on 18/03/2011 and gave a request to cancel. with lot of pursuence, i was able to convince them to cancel my connection. I made the bill payment for that month and cleared all outstanding amt of Rs.820 on 14/03/2011, then the provide Cancellation request no :[protected]
                                        Now I received a bill from 27/02/11 to 29/03/2011 of Rs.762, without using TATA photon device for a single minute. My attempt to convince the customer care people has gone in vain they say they cant help. I had no option but to post my complaint on this forum. I would expect to teach a lesson to these people who play with customers. Please post this complaint as my request for cancellation was not processed and I am falsely charged money for no USAGE.
