TATA DOCOMO SIM — blocking of sim

i have purchased a tata docomo sim before 3 months , it was working properly , i have submitted aal the documents wen i have purchased that sim . but after a month , frm this company i got messages to subimmit my documents. i was out of station at that time , n they jus block my sim .i have 450 rs. in that sim n that sim is not workin . wen i have given all the documents at the time of purchase , then why this company is creating problem for peoples.

Docomo sim card — Hopeless customer service and supervisor, Mr. Vikas

A list of six complaints which may mount upto sixty if no action is taken.

I am Dr. Neal Shah from Lokmanya Tilak Hospital, Sion. I purchased a sim card from Tata Docomo from a store in Sion Circle with a recharge of Rs50 and Scheme of Rs 94 for 1GB GPRS free every month. No doubt the excellent GPRS scheme is very attractive and enticing for customers including me. I took it mainly for GPRS and was told that it would be active within half an hour.
First complaint is that it wasn’t activated in half an hour or even till night. I called again saying that I need GPRS badly for my work, so kindly activate my recharge and GPRS scheme. I was told that he would do it by 10:30pm. I got a message that my account has been activated and Rs. 50 deposited. Next day afternoon I called the GPRS provider to activate GPRS on my phone, after which I started surfing and my balance went down to zero in an hour. I called the customer service again and was informed that my scheme of Rs94 is still not activated.
Second complaint is that why does it take so long to activate GPRS and if it does so, why wasn’t I informed? I called the retailer in the store on 8th and he said that server was down on 6th and 7th. I asked him to recharge my account with Rs50 for not informing me before hand. He said the server was down so he was not able to activate.
Third complaint is why is the server of such a big company down for two whole days? The retailer told me to ask customer service.
Fourth complaint is that the customer service said the server was down only on 7th. This means either the retailer or service provider or BOTH are lying.
Fifth complaint is that neither the retailer nor the customer service provider were ready to accept the mistake or communicate with each other or settle the matter by recharging my account with Rs50 again. I asked him to let me talk with the supervisor of office, Mr. Vikas(as he told me).
Sixth complaint is that Mr. Vikas was even worse, not helpful at all. I explained to him that the issue is not about Rs50, but about customer satisfaction which is his job. He was reluctant to speak to the retailer or provide me any means by which I can lodge a complaint. On the contrary he said that it is not his job and wasted my 1 hour.
I have handled many such case like this and fought till I got justice. You may be thinking that I may give up or let it go or forget it after some time. Let me make it clear that you are mistaken in that case and you may fall into trouble too. I recently went to Harvard Medical University in Boston USA, and was asked to pay 25$ for every check-in bag for local travel. The law says that one does not have to pay if he travels on an international PNR. I fought with the airport authority and got it free. There are other such instances too. This fight is not only for myself, but for others too. If I don’t get proper justice, I am going to discard my Docomo sim card and advice people not to purchase it. You may have to repay for it later.

    I have tried to recharged my account on 10/02/2011 online which was not successful and yet money is deduced from my ICICI bank account. When I raised issue with customer care, they take complaint and give a callback giving excuses like i need to check with bank, they have not received money, etc. even after I attached bank statements in email and sent to them; this happened thrice. I checked with bank regarding it also and they say money is paid to the biller (tataphoton) on 10/02/2011 itself and the error happened during transaction after I came out of bank page in ccavenues while recharging. What kind of service is this...how can they take somebody's money without providing service..??

    Any help in this regard will be greatly appreciated.

        Hi Tata,

        As per below mail, the complaint is closed but I have not yet received the deductions reversed back on my account. Please check the attached mail for your reference.

        I need the entire total deducted amount reversed on my account ASAP.

        30 (Monthly Feng Shui pack service)

        +19.39 (CRICKET_chota_30 Pack)
        +5 (Daily Auto renewal Cricket alerts Pack)

        How come without the customers feedback you can close the complaint? This is not the way of customer satisfaction, wherein I have not even got the deducted amount reversed back!..

        Hi Tata,



        For your Kind Information, Please check the last 50 transactions done on my number [protected]. You can notice that apart from monthly recharge of sms-pack-85 & recharge of 30 or 50, apart from messaging there are no calls made.



        I would like to inform all the services were not activated from my end. I have also come across with my friends facing the same concern on their tata docomo’s no. I have also checked the no of complaints raised with tata for the same reasons, wherein services are activated on any particular schemes automatically without prior customer’s permission. I feel it is wrong on tata’s part & the same issue should be taken seriously with immense concern.



        As per your tracking, you have mentioned that Monthly Feng Shui pack service and Cricket alerts Pack were activated from my end. Please first make it clear with proper justification that the same services were activated from my end or not. For your kind information & as per your reply, I had deactivated the services for Feng Shui on Friday, 25th Feb 2011 via sms and also on IVR (155223) & Cricket Service Alerts was deactivated on Saturday, 26th Feb 2011, by placing request on cc and also by sms.



        With Respect to the records mentioned below, CRICKET_chota_30 Pack for Rs.30/- was activated on 26/02/2011 at 5:35 PM. But if you check on your records I had placed a request before 16:00 Hrs on 26th Feb 2011, with tata to stop all services & cancel unwanted services. I had also send an sms START DND to 1909 to stop all services henceforth & still the CRICKET_chota_30 Pack was activated from your end wherein my balance was 20.64/-.



        You have mentioned the same deducted balance will not be reverted. But yesterday on 26th Feb 2011, for the deducted balance for CRICKET_chota_30 Pack, I got a reverted balance of 19/- from customer care executive.

        How it is that cc does not have information about their own processes?



        Now, to display the worst system & process how tata docomo works. Even after activating the DND service & stopping all services via sms & cc. Today 27th Feb 2011 again 5/- got deducted via auto-renewal scheme at 11:39 AM. Now the Balance on my account is 15/-.



        The Format of the SMS (Hi, Your Subscription for Daily Cricket Service has [protected]@ Rs 5/1 days. To unsubscribe, dial 155223. (Toll free) – sent from 54321)



        HOW COME ANY SERVICES CAN START AFTER SENDING STOP SERVICES ALSO? THAT MEANS THE PROCEDURE & PROCESS WITH TATA IS WRONG. PLEASE RECTIFY THE TECHNICALITIES FROM YOUR END FIRST.



        I need the entire total deducted amount reversed on my account ASAP.

        I, Charlie Varghese, have been using the tata Docomo Prepaid Number, [protected] from last 1 Year.

        I have been using this number to just send messages (no web services/ no calling/ no download services is used). There is just 1 recharge of sms pack 85 done on my number every month.



        To provide a Brief Description about the Complaint regarding this number, there have been some services activated without prior intimation, to be precise.

        On Wednesday, 23rd February 2011. The Balance on my number was 79.34/-.
        On Thursday, 24th February 2001. The Balance was 47.51/-, as some services was activated without prior intimation. (unknown)(Not needed by me).
        On Friday, 25th February 2011. The Balance was 42.03/- as some auto-renewal services got activated without any updates (Cricket updates)(Not needed by me).
        On Saturday, 26th February 2011. Again 5/- was deducted via auto-renewal. I got a sms from 54321 stating the same. (Cricket updates)(Not needed by me).


        I had spoken to the customer care no 121, they gave some deactivation number. I tried but to no vain, it shows no services are active on my number. I have even tried calling on 155223 to deactivate the services, it also shows no services are active. I have even tried to deactivate services via sms also. The CC agents are also not ready to help in regards to customer needs.



        Is this the way a Telecom company works? Is there no proper way of prior intimation to be given to the customer before starting services on any number?

        I Need a Proper update in regards to the same. Justification should be given for points 2, 3 & 4.



        To be Clear, Please revert back me the amount which is deducted from my tata docomo account.



        If the same services are not deactivated & deducted amount is not reversed, I will raise a complaint with TRAI.

        In the morning of the same day, i complained about the activation of service which was out of my concern. But at that time,i was refunded the balance.
        But in the afternoon, again a service got activated which was out of my concern. When i asked customer care, he told that i have downloaded something. But during that time in the whole day, i have not used internet, infact, my internet was not working only. When i asked for refund, they refused that it will not be done.         i Gopal Raturi Registered on the Tata Indicom Site, Get an email from a guy called Jaiparakash- Vriti-Interactive. He seems to have my e-mail ID and my telephone number and he also seems to know that I want an Tata Docomo usb net connection. I make a payment by clicking on that link provided in the email. Got confrimation the payment is succesful also and gave his phone no also[protected]. but after that no signs or responce from them. Trying to call the number provided is absolutely useless.

        Now they have taken 1600 Rs. not initializing connection and even not responding through mail or phone what to do. How these type of services is doing work in India is there no authority to check and shut there store down.

          This is reg. My new tata photon connection. I got this connection from online vendor VRITI. Person who sell this product are Deepika & Vishwas. there IDs are Deepika Khatri (deepika.[protected]@vriti-interactive.com) & vishwas.[protected]@vriti.com .I just got device from them. no response after that from there side. When i am trying to connect customer care , it requires some number and i am not having the same. When I am trying to active this, it require 14 digit number. i am just fed up. Its more than 2 days, i got this product. When i am trying to contact Vishwas's number, it is always busy...
          Please help me what to do.... :(

            im prepaid card holder of tata docomo service and facing huge problem due to unwanted value added services which are forcefully levied on my cell phone,,, i have called customer care on[protected] mentioning nature of value added services which was automatically got activated without my knowledge,on the very same day i instructed them to stop all such foolish services immediately , inspite of all this again on[protected] re 30/- got deducted for buddy chat service.. i m failed to understand nature of this services which are not all useful and doesnt make any value addition.... being a growing organisation these services should not impose on customers to make small amount profit... .Foolish part of service is Love tips, horoscope etc these types of services are already subscribe to customer and will automatically get activated within 72 hours if customer didnot deactivate it by himself.

            I have got message of magic sms pack free...but after activation its only for 3 days and after that Rs.30 will be deducted for a month...and this facility cant working on my mobile...for sending sms there was charge for each sms...so i want to deactivate this offer...and request to the custumer care members that before activation of any service please inform to the customer about that...and then activate particular service...so now i want top deactivate magic sms from my number [protected]...udaysingh bhosale(customer)

              Hi,

              I was pretty impressed with the TATA Docomo's GPRS performance.
              I went for this Prepaid connection - [protected]

              But I'm surprised that it is having lot of issues. I think other service providers are better.
              I tried to recharge online. But the site says this number is invalid!!!!!.

              I tried to rechargr using my ICICI account.I recharged for 150. Balance is deducted. But no balance improvement. I tried to recharge using freecharge.in. Again I tried with 150. But the same thing happened.

              I'm at a loss of 150. With my balance showing below 2. I guess TATA Docomo is not a competative service provider.

              Just hope Docomo corrects these issues.

              THere was a typo in the above section I have posted. The total loss is 300 not 150.

              TO add to the above problem. I had recharged for 95 and my data balance showed 6GB. But suddenly got a message from Docomo. That for 90 days you can acess 3G for 3G data, 30 videos...blah..blah...
              Why was this message sent without confirmation?

              Also when I checked. My data balance became 3GB. I lost 3GB data instantly, for absolutely no reason. This is really bad on the part of any mobile service provider.

              PLEASE CALL/CONFIRM BEFORE DOING ANYTHING...This is my sincere request.

                Now i am facing problem with the SIM in my Nokia 1100 handsets. so what i do to solve this problem. Please let me know as early as possible. Distributor are not giving any solution for that and i told that if the SIM is not working then please take it back but they didn't reply me. Please help me out........

                  I have been using services for last 7-8 months regularly and have made payment always around 1300/- for 10 GB plan and had no issues. Since Janurary service quality in Noida-Sec-20 have dropped like anything and I could use only 2 GB some how. Condition has become pathetic towards Jan end and Feburary I lodged complain with their technical department. One executive came and after 2 hours of debugging , working with network guys told me this situation will last till March end due some update on Disha website (No 353 ).

                  Now I called billing dept to adjust me last/current bill as I have been suffering due to their issue they said they will settle bill for Jan usage and no question to pay bill in Feb. They call me 10 times and always said Sir we'll come back to you which they never did.

                  Can you believed that another executive called me to pay 75/- for their tech support visit ? funniest thing of my life , I have seen, damn.

                  THIS IS WEIRED AND UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOUR FROM TATA PHOTON - Based on my current service status I cant recommend them to anyone.

                    I think it is totally unfair to unilaterally disconnect a number
                    permanently due to what the service provider feels is
                    "negative address verification".

                    The address given in the form is correct, so it is not clear
                    what is meant by "negative address verification".

                    To say the least, it is "highhandedness" to just disconnect
                    the number on pure whims, keep the money and put the
                    subscriber to trouble.

Everytime i call the customer care regarding assistance of internet, but everytime the customer representative say that there is no information regarding this number. They alwys divert me to another number. Please do the needful..
                      As i have spoken many times with customercare and its senior Ms Rupali but their no positive result according to them they activated ma plan of 277 min free tata -tata adn 1 gb download free on this number [protected] on 12th april 2011 and i used it by 13 april 2011 at 8.00 pm this is really a if v use a coomon sense v cant download 1 gb in a day via mobile and due to their techniqual problem that they did gave me benifit of ma free plan they deducted 13 rs so i hope i will get ma refunda as well as plan by 21 april if this is not gonna be then i think i sould switch to another network and will inform for this problem to the docomo users so that they can change even their number in ma friend circle ...

                          Signal is very very very poooor. even in center of the mumabi city also im not getting signal properly.my num is [protected]

                          Call getting disconnected in 30 secs or 50 secs....
                          Sir my name is N.C.Yogesh waran.My number is [protected].When ever i connect to the internet it appears only after 20 minutes and the signal is not constant.It is always showing the signal bar with 2 to 3 bar.So i request you to please take some offer over it.

                                  I am Dipayan Aich. this month 8th I ported from Airtel to Tata Docomo, my number remains same [protected]. All was going well till yesterday. Suddenly I checked my balance today and found out that they deducted Rs 42. When inquired (I had to call 4 times to get the information) first time they said it is due to GPRS, then I said as I am using 3G and I have data balance left for 1gb, they looked further and said it is because I send SMS to 56767661 for 14 times. Which I never did. Now I asked for a call reference number, they refused to give one infact he refused to tell his name again.

                                  Is there any way to find out how this SMS are sent from my number without my knowledge (no one used my mobile). I can assure that I have not sent any SMS. How can this be solved? Can anyone look into this issue? If this continues to happen, this would be a bad experience for me and I would be forced to port to some other operator.

                                  well I found out the issue lately. Thanks to Google. It is not a SMS sent from message box, it is iMobile application of ICICI bank which sent these SMS. I apologize for this. But the behavior and knowledge of customer care representative is still remains questionable :) ...

                                        Hi,

                                        This is Phanindra holding TATA photon connection with number [protected] and account number[protected].I have given request for cancellation of my tata photon connection on january 11th 2011 with docket numbers[protected] ,[protected] and[protected].My connection is still not closed and I received a bill of Rs 944 for whole january month. Please let me know when it will closed .I don't want to pay the bill for whole month,as I have given request on 11th of January 2011 and it should be closed by maximum 15th of January 2011.So i will pay the up to 15th January.I have not been using my photon from the January 11th of 2011.

                                        I have been calling customer care for every 2 to 3 days .But nobody responding properly with correct estimated date of cancellation.This is the worst service I have seen in cancellation.
