I am user of TATA DOCOMO with mobile no [protected] in Gujarat, but from last 2 days when i am calling to custmer care they don't have enough information regarding custmer care office in junagadh even they don't know where junagadh is ? so they force fully transfer my call to other officer and put my call on hold about 1hr and then disconect. when I call second time they are not receiving my call. Please guide me about this matter.

    This is to inform you that i bought a TATA PHOTON PLUS post paid DATA CARD yerterday ie on
    14/02/2011, costing 1599.
    Mr.Vishal from delhi told me that it would be activated in an hour. Mr Rajesh came to my
    home and asked for my documents but he did not bring the application form for that.
    Today i tried almost throughout the day to activate it , but in vain.I called Mr.Gautam
    almost five to six times , but i did get any response.
    I am totally frustrated due to this.
    I would request you to look into the matter ASAP.
    Either get my card activated or return my money.

      I used to have an IDEA SIM, and one day I got a call from Docomo sales person for MNP to Docomo with certain offers, and I accepted it. She told me it would take 4 days for MNP, but it did not happen for even 20 days, and they took an action only after I registered complaints. I got a message 2 days ago saying the MNP has been complete, and the SIM will be off for 2 hours. But it's not showing network even now, i.e., for 2 days I'm unable to use both my IDEA sim as well as the Docomo SIM, and my number is totally unreachable. I get different responses from customer care each time such as:
      1. 'your request is still pending. I cannot give more status than that'
      2. 'please visit our tata docomo center'
      3. 'switch off and switch on your mobile and it will work' - I have been doing that all day long, but in vain
      4. 'try this sim in a different handset' - that did not work either.

      This is one of the most pathetic service I have ever experienced in my life.
      The matter has not been addressed yet. The process of MNP to Docomo has made my mobile inactive for 3 days. I have been registering complaints, calling up customer care, who assure that this will get fixed in 24 hours, but to no avail.

      I have become sort of inert, and feel as though it is all falling on deaf ears. I have no hopes on Docomo. I realize shifting to Docomo might be a big mistake. I was happy with IDEA.
      No progress, except for Docomo's unresponsiveness.

      My mobile number, that I have been using for 3 years is now inactive for 4 days, thanks to Docomo. And from the service of Docomo, I can say that it will remain inactive for many more days to come.

      Yesterday as usual I was registering a complaint for this issue with Docomo.
      CC: <Usual reply>I am going to escalate this, and within 24 hours someone will get back to you.
      Me: I have been getting the same reply each time I call the customer care.
      CC: No Ma'm I will definitely escalate this to my manager now, and someone will get back to you in 24 hours.
      Me: Each CC person says this, but none has got back to me in the 3 days, and my mobile is still inactive. Can I talk to a senior member?
      CC: Kshama chahti hoon ma'm. I am escalating this now, and someone will get back to you in 24 hours.
      Me: Can I talk to a senior member, please?
      CC: (Again) Kshama chahti hoon ma'm. I am escalating this now, and someone will get back to you in 24 hours.
      Me: Can I talk to a senior member?
      CC: Kshama chahti hoon ma'm.
      Me: Can I?
      CC: Kshama chahti hoon ma'm. We don't have that facility.
      Me: What do I do if no one reverts back to me in 24 hours?
      CC: You can call us at 121 and check with us
      Me: I have been doing that atleast 5 times a day, and each time I get the same reply that the issue has been escalated, but nothing happens in 24 hours, and none gets back to me. Is there a way to track this complaint? A complaint no. or a ticket no.?
      CC: Kshama chahti hoon ma'm. We don't have that facility. But you can call us on 121
      Me: But how do I track the current escalation or complaint?
      CC: Kshama chahti hoon ma'm. We don't have that facility.
      Me: So, I call 121 again, someone else picks up the call, I narrate the entire story, he/she registers an escalation and gives me assurances. I have been going through several times in 3 days. Can you give me a single point of contact or a tracking number
      CC: Kshama chahti hoon ma'm. We don't have that facility.
      Me: Ok. You assure me that the problem will be taken care in 24 hours. What should I do if it is nothing happens in 24 hours and none reverts back to me?
      CC: You can ask for me. My name is Mohini.
      Me: Are you sure that I can ask for you just by your name?
      CC: Yes ma'm
      Me: (helpless) Thanks.


      Today: (After 24 hours of no action)
      CC: Hi this is (some name). How many I help you?
      Me: I had raised a complaint yesterday with a person named Mohini. I need to talk to her.
      CC: Sorry ma'm. We don't have the facility to transfer calls to other sales executives.
      Me: But the person had told me to refer to her by telling her name
      CC: Sorry ma'm. We don't have that facility
      Me: How do I track yesterday's complaint?
      CC: Tell me your problem. I will assist you.
      Me: But I need a status on yesterday's complaint
      CC: Ma'm I cannot see any complaint, may be it was not escalated yesterday. But I assure you I will definitely escalate it, and someone will definitely get back to you.
      Me: (narrate the problem, previous Docomo encounters, complaints, etc.)
      CC: Sorry for the inconvenience ma'm. I will escalate the matter.
      Me: How do I track this complaint?
      CC: You can call us at 121.
      Me: Is there a way I can talk to you directly, or is there a way to track this complaint?
      CC: Sorry ma'm. We don't have that facility.

      And that's Docomo for you.
      Despite raising complaints atleast 3 times a day, there has been no response from Docomo customer (don't) care, and my primary number is simply unreachable and unusable for 7 full days, thanks to Docomo MNP.

      After 7 days of lack of peace, mobile unusability, follow ups with no responses, I have finally decided to go back to IDEA through a reverse MNP. I believe IDEA is 100 times better than Docomo, atleast I hope so.

      Good bye Docomo, for a lifetime.
      If at all someone has read this thread, I would like to inform you that (apart from the fact that my mobile is still not working and Docomo is still unresponsive as expected), one cannot apply for a second MNP within 3 months of applying one MNP. I.e., since I have applied for an MNP from IDEA to Docomo (which Docomo understood as MND (Mobile Number Disablement)), even if I am totally unhappy with Docomo, and am unable to use my number, I still cannot change the service back to IDEA or Airtel or another service for 3 months. So for 3 months I'm stuck, and of course since Docomo has almost permanenly disabled my number, I am forced to change my number that I have been using for 3 full years, thanks to Docomo. So be cautious when you apply for MNP, get enough reviews and inputs before you go ahead with an MNP, and if you ever plan for Docomo, be ready to go through a long time of frustration, stone age customer service, and unplanned events such as disconnect from the rest of the world.

      Further, thanks to Docomo, I had to waste my entire Saturday preparing the documents for MNP back to IDEA, going to IDEA office which was not that useful. Thanks to Docomo for 1 week of frustration, undelivery of my couriers and confusion among my family members and friends (as my mobile was not reachable), and the knowledge that such as pathetic service can exist even to this date.

      I now bought a new Airtel sim, and I am happy with the service, offers, and most importantly, it totally works (of course that's so relieving to me).

        I have charged my mobile (No: [protected]) with special recharge of Rs. 151 on 12 Feb 2011 in one shop at 5:00PM with Transaction ID [protected]. Special recharge of Rs.151 gives full talktime If Rs. 151 and 50 Minutes of Docomo to docomo free for 30 days. But when I check the balance by sending BAL to 121, I got only 130-135/- Balance in my account. Even I could not got 50 minutes docomo to docomo free. When I ring customer care, they told me , after 24 hrs, the remaining balance will get credited to your account, but after 24 hrs, I could not get that balance. When I ring up 121 again on 13 Feb 2011 at 6:00PM, he told me that you have done recharge with normal recharge of Rs. 151.
        My question is who has done the mistake? Shopkeeper has done recharge of Rs. 151 through his own mobile. I does not know a simple recharge or special recharge.
        My question is when special Recharge of Rs. 151 is available, why normal recharge of Rs. 151 is kept? Many peoples even does not know whether they have done special recharge or normal recharge. Docomo should keep normal recharge of Rs. 150 or Rs. 152 or so on. There could be facility of converting normal recharge to special recharge when the amount is exactly same.

        When I could get remaining balance?

          SIR TATA DOCOMO HAS DEDUCTED MY 43 RS. WITHOUR PRIOR NOTICE AND ACCEPTING MY APPROVAL VIA SMS OR VOICE CALL. THEY SAID THAT THIS MONEY COULD NOT BE REFUNDED . BECAUSE YOU HAVE MADE ACCEPTANCE.BUT TRULY NEITHER I SEND SMS NOR VOICE CALL DIRECTIONS. I RECEIVED MESSAGE THAT "HI YOU HAVE BEEN SUBSCRIBED FOR MY WORLD SERVICES, SERVICE WOULD BE ACTIVATED IN 24 HRS."

            i am a user from last 13 months but during last months ur unusal and automatic
            subscription services are disturbing me during my office time as well
            as my phone balance. In details services i have been unnecessarily charged Rs. 40/- for java software installation which till now i didn't subscribe. but i got msg for subscription and charged Rs.40/- from my balance . i called to ur one of the
            executive and by discussion she excuse and unsubscripted that service related to
            this i was convinced by executive that i will get my 40/- rupees back again after 15/2/11. It happened twice in the last two months . so i dont understand
            after making call u people are disturbing me again and again. i
            dont have such time to talk u time and time . if your service will
            be like this then we are 12 member in a friends group using docomo service
            forced to switch other services. kindly note my problem and refund
            all my deduction till now.Otherwise i will complain to your higher

When I call to customer care for knowing that why my balance has been wrongly deducted. Then I understand that any game pack has been activated in my mobile. This is for your kind information that I am not activated any game pack & not browsing internet in my mobile. The details of wrongly deducted my balance as below:

              Sub: Post Mobile Portability Problem with Tata DOCOMO

              Sir,

              My son has done prepaid mobile portability from Vodafone to Tata Docomo for his number [protected] at mumbai some 15 days back. His number is changed to DOCOMO but surprisingly the number cannot be recharged. The reason DOCOMO says is Technical Reason. My son has a recharge voucher which also is a cost.

              My son has continuously been complaining for more than 5 days but every time they say that within 24 hrs problem would be rectified.

              I have officially complained to them with complaint number CRRG09392240 on 10th Feb 2011 at 10.45 am with their assurance that in 24hrs this issue will be rectified but till 13th Feb 2011 nothing has been done.

              When contacted to Vodafone again to restore the old service provider they now say that for next 3 months it cannot be done as per TRIA rule. My son is helpless for next 3 months & at mercy of TATA Docomo's poor service's

              My son is in 10th standard & phone to him is so important. The DOCOMO helpline is not bothered to help & when we ask to speak to their senior they keep you on hold for hours with no one responding.

              If Tata DOCOMO is not prepared to adopt mobile protability why have they accepted this request.

              I think for benefit of all people who can be fooled by Tata DOCOMO please run this greviance in TOI. Your help would be highly appreciated.

              Tata DOCOMO poor service has changed my trust for TATA.

                just few days back i ported my number [protected] from airtel to docomo and i'm unable to receive delivery reports for any of my sent messages in tata docomo and i'm unable to receive messages quickly sent by my freinds and relatives.i stay in bsa road,bangalore-05.i hav already raised a complaint regarding this with the customer care and my reference number is NWK[protected].but the problem is not yet resolved.

                  This is to inform you about the periodic invalid deduction of Rs 3 from my tata docomo prepaid sim ([protected]) by the tata docomo network operators. During the past couple of weeks, 4 similar incidence occurred out of which they had refunded during the 2nd incidence. I noted that all 4 incidence (deduction) occurred when i change sim (BSNL to Tata docomo) in my phone. But when i called the customer care they told me that the amount was deducted due to the activation of a game pack. But there was no service message or called being called by them before the deduction process. The customer care also told me that the 3rd deduction was taken on February 5th but i’m sure that i had used the BSNL sim the whole day on February 5th. Hence i lost the faith in docomo customer care. The 4th deduction occurred today morning, just 30 minutes after i called the customer care to enquire about the 3rd deduction.This occurred when i changed sim (BSNL to Tata docomo) to check whether this occurs again. All this incidence is against the tata docomo advertisement “ no extra charges & no unnecessary deductions.” Please take this incidence seriously and kindly do the needful.

                    Hi Sir,

                    I had applied for MNP (from vodafone to tata docomo) on 3rd of February, 2011. My number is got ported on 9th February, 2011. I had inserted new tata docomo sim which I had already recieved. It is (till date) not working. I had enquired about same many times to nodal office ([protected]) with many nodal officer (Kishor, Aniket etc.). Nobody had given satifactory answer. Then I had visited nearby tata indicom outlet(Viman nagar, pune). They told me that the sim[protected] 2) on which they had activated my number ([protected]) is wrong and he had made request to start my number on above mentioned sim. After 3 hours I got call from nodal office that my number cannot be start on above mentioned sim and I have to bought new sim. I can't understand why should I suffer and spend money for mistake what tata docomo executives had made. Then he told me that he will arrange delivery of sim card at my place and he will get back to me in some time. He never call back.

                    I had committed for reebok wrist watch (after my number gets activated) by nodal officer (Rakesh Chincholkar) on 5th Feb, 2011 in written communication through mail (nodal.[protected]@tatadocmo.com, ref: M3529866). Once my number get activated I tried to contact him many times but he always avoided me. I had made request to arrange callback from rakesh (request no :[protected] yesterday. They told within 24 hours he will get back to me (which got completed today 15:00 p.m. without any callback). Thenafter I had called at least five times to nodal office to get a chance to talk with rakesh. All executives (aniket, kishor and one lady) told me that within 1 hour they will get back to me. Actually they are trying to avoid me so once office time over (18:00 p.m.), I can't contact them and they don't need to attend me till at least monday. Sorry to say but they all are liars.

                    I had also made request to change my sim (request no :[protected]. My current status is my number is gets activated but I cannot make call either from tata docomo or from vodafone and that is also due to tata docomo's mistake. And nobody is ready to start or stop my services and even not ready to give explanation. That is ridiculous. So my question is :

                    1) When can I expect my number will get started (I mean when can I call)?
                    2) When will I get my assured Reebok wrist watch ?
                    3) Can I expect some demonstrable actions against these all involved nodal officer ?
                    4) Can I get some compensation due to inconvienience cause by non professional behaviour of your nodal officer ?

                    My humble request is that just listen all the conversation carefully then you will get idea how rude and non professional your nodal officers are.

                      I am getting the bills for mobile number [protected].which I have not requested to Tata Docomo or not received the sim card from Tata Docomo. I am the customer of Tata Photon plus service since last 2 months. My complaint is Tata Docomo representative has used my documents and photos for new connection. Some one is using this number , and I am getting the bills from Tata Docomo since last 2 months.

                        This is Karthikanand.C from Erode. Tamilnadu. I have given a MNP request for conversion of Airtel Number([protected]) to Docomo on 27.01.2011.While asking both customer care(TATA DOCOMO and AIRTEL) both are giving that the late is due to the other operator.I didn't recharge my account till 27th of january due to the portablity will cause balance nill to zero.So please make confirmation about the date of my number conversion.

                        Hi,

                        I am Rajkumar from Bangalore, Karnataka. I have given MNP request for my Airtel no.[protected] to Docomo on 14.06.2011 in Koramangala DOCOMO office. Collected 19rs towards MNP and told that within 7 working days it will happen. Still now it is not happened (05.07.2011). I went to DOCOMO office 3 times to enquire about same but they told I have to wait. 3X26=78Rs I wasted towards bus charge. Still no response. If I call customer care they told documents not received, but Docomo office registery shows that documents already sent to concerned dept. I asked I will submit once again but they told already a request is pending we cannot take new request for same number. I called Airtel too to confirm any problem with operator they told they given clearance to MNP to Docomo.

                        my questions..
                        1. Who is responssible to delay in MNP.
                        2. How long a customer to wait for MNP.

                        kind request to DOCOMO, i[censored] are not willing to take new customer stop advertising... otherwise give response at right time...
                        hi Rajkumar. Airtel has to send their your documents regarding this.Go directly to the airtel office and ask them to release your number if your port request is processed. Else(As your port request has to be done before 15 days of the port request )you have to send port request again and provide your documents to any other operator except docomo(if you have to convert to docomo wait for 90 days).Before applying confirm with your nearest airtel office that this time they will allow your number.
                        As per the discussion with Airtel CC, they allowed me to take MNP on first instant ie on 17.06.2011. There is nothing pending with airtel as per discussion. When I call DOCOMO Cc they told that documents not received from there end which I submitted in Koramangala office. When went to submit fresh documents they are not taking new as already they sent my prev documents to concerned dept.
                        Like you only airtel has fooled me for many days. Confirm me
                        1-weather your number has been in live condition or not.
                        2-weather you recieved any confirmation about conversion of number from docomo.
                        3-Did you get any call from airtel about conversion suggestions.

                        Since docomo is the recipient operator they will not make any delay.Airtel is fooling you like me. Put pressure on them.(Better register for another MNP request with other operator other than docomo).Note that you are only allowed to convert form an operator with in 2 port request.
                        1. Airtel no. is in live status now.
                        2. On 14.06.2011 i received message from DOCOMo saying MNP request registed successfully. After that no message or call.
                        3. I did not get any call from Airtel regarding MNP.
                        As it was already registered(you got message) with docomo there is no problem with them.Then the problem is only with airtel.You have to move in some way to get your airtel number to be disconnected.if it get disconnected then docomo will activate your number.Go directly to airtel office and blame them and scold them.Put pressure on them.Send email to TRAI about the rubbish done by airtel.Every airtel executive believe that there is no body brilliant than tham.

                            My number is [protected](Kerala). I have ported this number from Airtel to tata docomo. In their website(please see screenshot attached) they have promised that for customers who have ported before 31st of Jan, they will provide 450 Rupees talktime with unlimited validity for recharge of 400 Rupees and this offer is valid for three months. I recharged with 400 Rupees yesterday morning at 9:28 am after confirming the same with customer care. But to my surprise I got 460 Rupees in a special account and not in main account and this special account is valid only till March 11th. When I tried to contact customer care again telling that the validity should be unlimited as per website they were not accepting it. I also Emailed the same with screenshot of their advertisement to their email id [protected]@tatadocomo.com. An automated mail reply came telling that they will respond withing 24 hours. But now it is more than 36 hours since I raised the complaint through email and there is no response. Now I am forced to publicise this in a forum like this so that they will respond atleast on seeing this.

                            TATA Docomo is only thinking how to give hollow words and assurances . They havent even contacted me on this either through Email or phone. I cant understand how such a trusted brand has degraded itself on values and ethics which they never used to compromise.

                              Few weeks back I recieved an sms stating that i have charged 30/- for activating BUDDY CHAT service. Which I didnt activated. I ignored it as i was little curious about the service. so i called up few buddychat numbers and spoke to few girls hoping them to be genuine people who is also seeking for friendship as me. But when all of them spoke in a same manner, i had a doubt on them, Last night i tactically asked about the girl who is a call center girl. her job is to call guys and end abruptly,then the guy for curiosity calls back. he is now in trap of the callcenter girl.. she ll make the guy engaged for hours until the balance reduce to few paisa. These CALL CENTER GIRLS are purposely hired by DOCOMo which i strongly believe.

                              My request is to all who are using this service dont fall for this trap else u ll be loosing money for nothing.

                                        I had ported my Airtel postpay number to Tata DoCoMo with the request given on 25 Jan and porting(disconnection) from Airtel side done on the night of 6th Feb. But, I was shocked when I inserted the new Tata DoCoMo sim. My phone showed SIM Registration Failed error. I tried 3 different phones (iPhone, Nokia and Sony Ericsson). All three couldn't register the SIM. So, I called up Tata DoCoMo next day. They promised to replace the SIM. But, refused to log a complaint initially. I insisted on logging a complaint and got a complaint number. It's the afternoon of 8th Feb now and the SIM still hasn't got replaced. Meanwhile, I have been noting down the "Interaction ID" and names of all customer service agents I speak to. I have been forwarding the detailed timeline and action taken/not taken by these ppl to Tata DoCoMo's nodal officer for Karnataka. But, even the Nodal officer hasn't responded to my mails. I will escalate it to the Appellete officer if the Nodel guy doesn't respond today. Then thinking of complaining to TRAI and also move Consumer Court against Tata DoCoMo.

                                        If you are affected by this issue. Please find the details of Nodal and Appellete officers from Tata DoCoMo website and send them your complaints. Follow it up with calls to their numbers. Also, start posting reviews and complaints like this on all online forums and warn potential customers.

                                        I think these people don't realize how serious mistake they are committing by letting the MNP users live without any mobile service for days and weeks. Lets mount pressure on them to act and don't give up till they fix it.

                                        This is a complaint against the service of Tata Docomo to which [protected] was ported to. I was told that the porting has been completed on 2nd February 2011. However, since then the phone is absolutely dead - not even the tower is showing up in the mobile. I have made more than half a dozen calls to their [protected] number and have got wide range of responses at different times. Here is a list of those responses in chronological order.

                                        1. I am sending a message about your problem and it will be set right very soon.
                                        2. It is not working because there is no balance in the SIM. When the free talk time offer was pointed out, I was told to go to the retailer to get it.
                                        3. The relevant papers have not come from the retailer and I was asked to chase the retailer.
                                        4. All relevant papers have arrived - only that I shall have to dial 12525 to choose the language and then everything will work. Without the tower even that is not going through.
                                        5. A complaint has already been booked (without my ever being aware of it) and things will get rectified by midnight.
                                        6. Senior at the call centre told me that no complaint has been booked as yet and he finally did that with the number GCM10007911 on 7th afternoon.

                                        Unfortunately, I cannot lodge a complaint through Tata Docomo website as it would not accept the above phone number as a valid one nor can I trace the complaint supposedly booked by their call centre as the webpage would not accept 11 characters as the complaint number.

                                        I got two calls from their technical folks after the complaint booking.
                                        1. First one asked me to go to Tata 'hub' to check whether the SIM has got any problem - line got disconnected.
                                        2. Second one asked me to manually register with Docomo by using the setting in the mobile set; however, there also 'Registering ..... not allowed' response was obtained.

                                        Meanwhile my phone is dead for last 5 days. I wonder whether I have moved from the frying pan to the fire. Hope some action is taken against inaction/inefficiency/cheating.

                                        I had ported my Airtel postpay number to Tata DoCoMo with the request given on 25 Jan and porting(disconnection) from Airtel side done on the night of 6th Feb. But, I was shocked when I inserted the new Tata DoCoMo sim. My phone showed SIM Registration Failed error. I tried 3 different phones (iPhone, Nokia and Sony Ericsson). All three couldn't register the SIM. So, I called up Tata DoCoMo next day. They promised to replace the SIM. But, refused to log a complaint initially. I insisted on logging a complaint and got a complaint number. It's the afternoon of 8th Feb now and the SIM still hasn't got replaced. Meanwhile, I have been noting down the "Interaction ID" and names of all customer service agents I speak to. I have been forwarding the detailed timeline and action taken/not taken by these ppl to Tata DoCoMo's nodal officer for Karnataka. But, even the Nodal officer hasn't responded to my mails. I will escalate it to the Appellete officer if the Nodel guy doesn't respond today. Then thinking of complaining to TRAI and also move Consumer Court against Tata DoCoMo.

                                        If you are affected by this issue. Please find the details of Nodal and Appellete officers from Tata DoCoMo website and send them your complaints. Follow it up with calls to their numbers. Also, start posting reviews and complaints like this on all online forums and warn potential customers.

                                        I think these people don't realize how serious mistake they are committing by letting the MNP users live without any mobile service for days and weeks. Lets mount pressure on them to act and don't give up till they fix it.

                                        As far as the executives address is concerned, i fail to understand how can I have access to it.

                                        It is very sad and pathetic to see how the customer is being constantly harassed and no concrete support has been provided to the same.



                                        Request you to resolve this issue by tomorrow EOP, at the earliest.

                                        Hope this issue shall be resolved without any further inconvenience.

                                        Ok. So I tried the online support mentioned in the above comment. That didn't helped. What I had to do finally today was I visited one of the Tata DoCoMo centers personally and requested them to change the SIM. They sent me back with an assurance that they have raised the request and the SIM will get activated in max 3 hours. I checked with customer care after 3.5 hours and was told that the activation failed with some error. This confirmed the reason for the non activation of my SIM for last 5 days.

                                        When I visited the service center again, they immediately replaced the SIM. They told me it was the 2nd such case today when the Tata DoCoMo SIM given to me was Duplicate/Faulty.

                                        The new SIM is working for me. So, for now, I am happy to get back my mobile service.

                                        I don't know the exact cause of this issue. But, I am sure lots of people who ported in to Tata DoCoMo are facing this issue.

                                        So, if you are thinking to switching to Tata DoCoMo, please beware of such problems.
