I am a practicing CA and need internet connectivity regularly to discharge official assignments for my clients. Recently, TATA Docomo launced 3G Life services at Haridwar. I requested for a live demo at my office. The guy who gave the demonstration at my office showed off a 4+ Mbps speed on his dongle so I decided to purchase the same. I purchased a Tata Docomo 3G Life connection with a 7.2 Mbps dongle on 9th December 2010. But just two days after the purchase, the signal to my area dropped and connectivity vanished. I started complaining on their toll-free no., in response, the network guy visited my office and acknowledged that signal is extremely weak. He assured me that the network would be corrected in 2-3 days. Since then, I have been asking for resolution of the fault. After telephone calls fell on deaf ears, I started writing mails on the given ids. I have written at least 6 times to all concerned. They generated a complaint id no. M3373823 on 7th January 2011 and logistic information was called from me by some Mr Sandeep Kumar Jha. I submitted the information immediately - but no response. I sent reminders again and again. After 18 days today, another officials (Ms Neha Sharma) changed the complaint id to M3171192 (to wash off the delay in resolving the issue) and instead advised me to contact[protected] no. to get a solution - shows how TATA group cos. are going to treat their customers.

every one is facing the same problem with TATA DOCOMO 3G stick.please don't go for tata docomo 3g.
its fraud business.Don't believe their adds and their speed test, speed test also a fake one, dear new costumers please don't go for 3G.

Plaese don't take this and don't suffer with this.

    Hello,
    There is a offer going on for Tata photon plus which is offered just to Kotak Mahindra Bank customers. I being a Kotak Bank customer visited the head office of Tata service provider to get a new connection for Tata photon plus. The offer is to receive the data card in Rs 1500/- and also two months rent would then be free. I completed all the documents and submitted but the first day i did so the swipe in machine was not working. Thereafter they told that they would get it repaired and call me. I got a call and then again i went to the head office. This time they told that there was some error due to which the transaction could not be completed. Since i was in urgent need i kept on going to the office to inquire about the connection, but it has now been 1 month and no response by them. This was in Gujarat State.
    I am presently in Pune and thought that i may try the offer in Pune office. Here i went the tata office yesterday and here they created many problems regards to address proof. I took the normal rent agreement but they denied it talking about some registration. I dont know what they require exactly. Our landlord has executed the deed on judicial stamp paper completing all the formalities which is required by the custom. What more in documentation the office need.
    The response of the Tata service providers is not at all good.
    The lady named Preeti is so arrogant and think as if she is the PM of our country. She doesnt seems to care about the customers complaints and request. She gives a damn look and ignores the customer.
    Besides one thing i always wonder is why always at these service centres only girls are appointed, even though technically they do not have any qualifications. Yes they are highly qualified in just showing there attitude to customers.
    Really frustrated with the service provided.

    I have purchase a sim of tata photon last one month, and have also submit my document and, also send my vendor sms for activation my tata photon number,
    but but till date not any respons from your side, no menner your custumer care esicutive and talking of way is very poor.And i purchase that sim only for watching live tv and also purchase a set of eg333 mobile.and write now that set useless for me.thats why i am very fade from your side. so kindly active my sim.

      I requested Tata Docomo Customer care for providing the incoming call details for 19th January 2011 for which they deducted Rs.25 from my prepaid account balance and provided me with outgoing calls details which I never requested for and later they say they do not have those details with them.           from the last 3 month we are trying to get the resolution from the unskilled customer care of tata docomo regarding network and msg delivery status but from last 3 month they point out mistake in my handset. by informing again and again still they are uncap able to solve the problem & giving excuses that problem will be resolve as early as. till now i got about 10 reference no. regarding my comlaints which is submitted through their website and customer care.
          they need to improve their services for which they are charging by installing improve network equipment & technical persons.

          Docomo — regarding sms

          Two days back i purchased new sim of docomo and no-[protected].
          As sim seller told that daily 300 msgs are free but now each and every msgs have been charging.hence i called to customer care executive but he told reluctantly msgs will be charged with out checking.so plz do the neeful n provide me with free msg pack to above said number.
          if not i have another sim which i am using from past 4 yrs so i will surrender all of my docomo sims and i will tell my frnds not to use the docomo sim.

              hi while i am using tata docomo sim during the call my ear feel hot due to signal . and i am using nokia3110c mobile phone so i would like to know the frequency range of tatadocomo and how it will be safe for the user health. what are the precautions actually the company is taking regarding frequency range. and tatadocomo sim is hanging while i am using the sim in basic mobile models may i know the reason for that...

              i bought samsung e2152 just 1 week ago, dual standby mobile, but enenthough dual sim sometimes it works only with 1st sim, 2nd sim network get fail automatically so i loose lots of call.
              Also it cant play video files, please help me

                Sir,
                This is a user of tata docomo prepaid service in karnataka. There is unwanted deduction of balance from my account through the automatic(default) activation of some Value Added Service( Message Pack,etc).
                I m facing this problem since last 5 months. I have to call customer care people every month regarding the issue, but no body response properly. I have to many times still, the matter remains unsolved.
                Please take some strict action on this unethical people.
                Please Help me out.

                Tata Docomo — false billing in prepaid

                respected sir
                on 8.11.2010 morning i have done phone prepaid recharge of Rs 50 but only within a day 50 Rs got vanished now on 9.11.2010 it is only Rs 8.70 how all the money had gone we dont know when i might have made at the most 2 or 3 calls
                costing only 4 or 5 Rs at the call cost docomo which claims of charging only 45paisa
                per call is cheating us we had trust on brand TATA so we took this service provider,
                sir please solve our grievence and settle back our call charge

Bt taday after 40 days my no. is not ported in.I contacted your contomer care so many times but the exe say “please visit your local dealer”. I visited your local dealer & also to your local distributor 4-5 times. There mr vishal said that your problem will be solved soon. Bt result is nil. Mr sumit submitted my request for port in 3-4 times but revert from 52291 say” For the given del [protected] or RSN. Request is received. Your exe say “your request is in process”. But airtel say we havn’t received any request. please solve my problem.

                  Tata DoCoMo & Airtel — Disturbance from a Unkown person

                  I am getting calls from unknown person, and they a disturbing me a lot, here is their number

                    We have taken Tata Photon with 3.2Mbps .
                    During its first month only its speed was always 0Mbps (less than 10 kbps) . I could not open irctc or youtube .

                    My brother take Tikona . Tikona told their speed is 128 kbps for 8 users . Also their speed is 128/8 = 16 kbps approx. I can easily open irctc & youtube .

                    Also now Tata Photon is not giving back 2500 Rs for the device . This device is of no use to me.

                    The moral is :
                    "Tata Photon Cheats customers. Tikona is Honest"
                    Same here. Used to have Airtel 4 MBPS plan and altogether using Airtel Broadband for 6 years now, however here in Sec 57 Gurgaon Airtel is not present. Got Tata Photon ( New One with Mp3 Player for around Rs 3500 ) this month. Download speed is average 20 kbps when i am paying for their Rs 1500 plan. During 9 AM to 8 PM it is 8 kbps average. Being in IT industry i understand that its the frequency issue. Still it hurts you if you are used to paying Rs 1500 per month and getting a 450 Kbps+ (Average, Generally it used to be 550 Kbps+ ) download speed throughout the day. I play online games and everyday suddenely internet goes down for 1-2 minutes that means i have to start the game again and i have lost the one that i was playing. You Tube and other videos work like snails and have to wait for 10 - 15 minutes to let them buffer. On Airtel You Tube worked better than a TV. I will never go for MTNL however now thinking about Tikona.

                    PS: I do a speedtest very randomly from http://www.speedtest.net/and in case of Tata Photon the maximum Download speed i got was .78 Kbps. In Airtel it was average 3.9 Mbps. Have been using Photon since 15 days now.

                      I am Sandeep KS from Bangalore, and am using a Tata Docomo Post Paid number, bearing [protected]. I migrated to post paid from prepaid on 12th January 2011. I was also told that the active Blackberry service on my prepaid for which i had paid Rs.399 will be transferred to the post paid account. From then on Blackberry service stopped working. However I thought it wont work until the activation process of Post Paid account is complete. I got an sms on 14th saying the account is active and customer service executives also told me that my account is completely active with blackberry services. But unfortunately the Blackberry service was not working. Even after raising several complaints, no action has been taken regarding the problem I am facing. When ever I call Tata Docomo blackberry technical support or 121, they take my details and tell me that the issue will be escalated and will be resolved soon. I was also promised that it will be resolved by 18th Jan 2011, evening 8pm but it did not get resolved.
                      The blackberry service costs 399 rupees per month and hence i am losing Rs13.33 everyday. I am having a very tough time dealing with the 2 customer cares, one the blackberry customer care and the other normal customer care. Both blame each other for the problem and I am suffering in between. Even today when i called, one of the agents in blackberry technical support of tata docomo told me that it will be resolved in 48 hours and in the afternoon, another agent had told me 24hours. I want to close the post paid account if it is not resolved at all.

                      The complaint, bearing the number 2696583 CCM, is still not resolved. I am still facing the problem of not being able to use blackberry internet services.
                      The problem is that my Blackberry Internet Services is associated with my OLD sim card. If the system is updated with my new sim card number which I have provided, everything will work fine. For this to be done, everytime I call, "Please give us 24 HOURS to resolve this issue" is the only answer I get.
                      PLEASE TELL ME WHEN YOUR 1ST HOUR STARTS, so that i can start counting the rest 23 hours. This issue was to be resolved on 18th Jan 2011 as per your records.
                      The blame game between network team and tech support team continues though, but the issue remains unsolved.

                      The worst service ever I have opted for in my life...
                      Technical team does not work at all...
                      Managers arent available in the so called "24/7 technical support" office to resolve the issue.
                      THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT OF TATA DOCOMO ARE THERE ONLY TO CONSOLE THE CUSTOMER AND NOT TO SOLVE THEIR ISSUES
                      Standard dialogue since 15th January 2011 till date "Sir we have escalated your issue... it is being working upon by our technical team. Please give us 24 hours to resolve this".
                      I wonder when their 1st hour starts ... for me to count the rest ..

                      I have till date talked to Blackberry Technical Support team at Tata Docomo so many times that I know almost everybody over there.... Mr Karthik, Mr Fiaz, Mr Lokesh, Ms Reshma, Ms Anshu, and the list goes on ...
                      All have falsely promised me it will be resolved by the end of that particular day i had called or 24 hours from the time of call.
                      Mr Ranjeeth, The supervisor was RUDE and disconnected from the customer support chat application.

                      I have also talked to one of the managers in the "121" customer support service named Ms Nirmala.
                      She promised it will be solved by yesterday evening

                      IF TATA DOCOMO CANNOT SOLVE THIS ISSUE, THEY CAN AS WELL TELL ME THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE, MANPOWER OR THE TECHNICAL SKILLS TO SOLVE IT AND DISCONNECT MY SERVICE AT IMMEDIATE EFFECT.
                      I WILL BE VERY VERY VERY HAPPY TO MOVE OUT OF TATA DOCOMO POST PAID ACCOUNT IF THEY TELL THIS TO ME.

                      My Blackberry services have not been activiated yet... seems like the problem similar to the one Sandeep, has started for me.

                      Its aleady been 24hrs I raised the complaint (#[protected]... waiting... docomo guys says 24hrs more... lets see... if not resolved.

                      I am currently using Vodafone Blackberry Plan of 299. The vodafone plan of everything free is of 799/- which is very expensive, and hence i plan to do Mobile number portability and shift to Tata Docomo.. Another reason why I plan to shift to Tata Docomo is bcoz the coverage is very bad in my own house in Vodafone.. I have to go to the balcony and talk. Its very irritating.

                      So let me know whether your Blackberry Issue was resolved, and how is the service at present?

                        I am getting unnecessary many SMS-s from 54321 which seems to be an advertisement. Also TD-58888. They are charging Rs.10/- every week. I want to stop it immediately. I have already called the customer care and activated DO NOT DISTURB service but there is no use.

                        Daily I receive nearly 15 - 20 messages from 54321and TD-58888 loosing money like anything. Please stop them ASAP.

This no. was transfered to other person and same was confirmed by me from customer care of tata. he paid some bills after that he disconnect the no. and one bill was due . Now tata is asking those recoveries from me even this no. is not belongs to me. One day i got a call from one person and he asked to come to court tees hazari delhi for this problem and give me chalan no. that chalan no. is 4533. After that i talk to tata person and call to Nodal officer Mr. Manoj Semwal and i got reply from his team taht it was a mistake and in future you not receive any call but still i got calls from tata and today i r eceived call again from [protected] on dated 20 jan time 15.48 and again ask for the payments . Kindly do the Needful. I shall be thankful to you

                            Tata Docomo — unnecessary Blocking of mobile phone

                            About a couple of months back, i changed my Docomo Number [protected] from post paid to prepaid.

                            At that time I handed over all my documents to Jyotsna at your Shivpuri Tata Docomo office (Chembur, Mumbai).

                            Subsequently there was a call from Docomo for verification.

                            One week later my phone was disconnected - the reason given was non submission of documents.

                            So I resent all my documents to the same docomo outlet and took it in writing stating that they had received my documents twice.

                            My phone was reactivated - but in a week's time it was blcoked again - reason given was non submission of documents.

                            I have been going to Docomo Chembur outlet and interacting with Jyotsna, Priya and Nisha - every time they reactivate the line, it gets blocked within a week.

                            The line was blocked again on 18th Dec. After interacting with Docomo it was activated. (everytime the reason given is non submission of documents)

                            Now again it has been blocked.

                            What does one do???

                            I am sending a copy to consumer forum - to complain against this mental torture.

                                  1) Network coverage issue since last year in the center of city (H-50, Shastri nagar, Meerut, UPW).
                                  2) 3G network fluctuates frequently at my office place, which is also situated at the center of the city. I can use the internet continuously for 30 mints.
                                  3) I am not able to access internet in roaming. I have gone to punjab (ludhiana) where i get latch on the network of idea. I am not able to use that. I have raised the complaint so many times but nobody listens.

                                  4) TATA represtative says that charging in roaming will be done according to th IDEA. But i am the customer of TATA. i am very frustrated with TATA. in roaming in harayana (ambala) charging is done different than in roaming in punjab.

                                  i getting very much harrassed by your services, Please provide the resolution for the problems.

                                  I got a recharge for Rs95 done for 1Gb pack. I did the recharge online from tata docomo website. Money has been deducted from my account and yet services has not been activated. I called customer care to resolve the issue. They told me i should not recharge online and go to my nearest store as their online services are not working. Why is no mention of this on their website. And customer care did not even listen to my problem and hang up.
                                  This is not how customers want to get treated even after they have paid for the services they cannot avail

                                      Dear Sir,
                                      This is with reference to the Rs.10/- weekly service called DO CHAT on sms. I had activated this service around a month back in the expectation that this service shall be de-activated after a week and no further auto deduction from my prepaid would happen after 7 days (as per the understanding I have of the Daily/Weekly packs activation number). The service did not get activated after the said number of days and even after repeated requests placed at toll free# 121 (for which they did not even provide me a reference no.), the service has still not been discontinued to the extent that it has depleted all the credits that I had. Now, my sim card does not have any credits left, still the service is active and whenever I make even a small recharge of Rs.10 (approx Rs. 7 talktime), the entire amount barring Re1/- is deducted despite the fact that the service costs Rs. 10/- for a week.                                         I live in Alpine Eco near Kartik Nagar bus stop (near Marathalli). In apartment complex itself, there are 750 homes. Next to our apartment complex, there are more than 20 apartment complexs. Inspite of all this, I found that tata docomo signal is getting poorer day by day.
                                        I have around 1500/- In balance and don't know what to do even if MNP comes as it can't be transfered.

                                        Many of my friends have shifted to Airtel (as i gives full signal even inside house !! so does Idea Network).
                                        I request you to kindly consider this and optimize the signal strength in our area which otherwise would be a loss of huge business opportunity.

                                        I also noted that in places where you get 1 bar signal, it becomes zero if you select 3G network. It seems their 3G network has very less coverage range. (so buying docomo 3G stick is completely useless)
