I hope the person who reads this will take some action.
My Tata Nano silver color bought in May 2010 MH-01-AR-3583 has gone to the TML workshop at E Moses Rd 5 times for battery discharge and starting problem but even as of today the problem is the same. The Service engineers at the TML (e. moses) workshop are not at all knowledgeable and are only interested in doing sweet talk so that we give them good rating of abt 9 to 10 points during their review call from the workshop or the Pune HO, as they say that will help them in their promotions and incentives.
I am absolutely hassled and have spent quite a lot of money in travelling due to the unavailabilty of my car as during one instance it was at the workshop for almost 8 days.
I also plan to get in touch with Mr. S. Sreeraman or Mr. Ravi Kant on this matter.
Hopefully good sense will prevail and you will be able to maintain the prestige of the NANO

TATA NANO — service

During third service I told that 1.oil chamber was leaking bht after serviced still oil chamber is leaking 2.body is being corroded but it si not attended

we have travelled along with my family kids on 04.07.2011 at about 8.30 pm we found that burnning smell with dark smoke came from the back side of the car.we just started the car and travelled about 2-3 kms.only.My children cried and i was surprised and unable to manage the situation.I called help line ,but i got only unfavarable answers.then i took auto and reached home.then i sent a driver to leave the car to the dealer.we got poor response in the service centre also.i regrett to inform.

    i am a consumer really upset of my payment i hav sent for booking tata nano car..., its 3 months that i hav cancled it ... but co. is not refunding my money... ... three reminders hav been sent to "cpm-03649 dt:-22-7-10", "cpm-0345, dt:-8-8-10", and cpm-05335, dt:-18-8-10, i wish u can help me. thankyou!!

        Sir,

        Purchased TATA NANO on[protected] having Chasis No. MAT612201AYD14149, Engine No. 273MPF101CZYE13130, from SHANKER MOTORS (P) LTD., PURNEA, BIHAR it has done only 500 kms and even the first Service is not done as yet, its Self-Starter is not working since 10 days. They are unable to change the starter saying "they have no spares" also a definite timeframe is not being given by them. Did not except this type of problem and response from a reputed company like TATA MOTORS and its dealer.

        Maybe I can get some help from your forum to sort out the problem in the only vehicle driven and owned by my aged father, who is immobile right now.

          dear sir,
          I was a proud owner of TATA NANO. Just like Mr. Ratan tata.
          Now , I would like to tell you tht my car had started giving me lot's of promlem from the first month itself. The gear box was damage and was replased during the first service it self. I have been regularly going to the service station for wiper motor not working.
          Now the axel is damage and Strling motor's your authorised dealer is insisting to pay first and the claim from the insurance company. Sir this damage is noticed during warranty period, hence your company should do it as per the term's of our deal.
          I am a seinor citizen and your people are harasing every time.

            Sir, With reference to News in national daily Rajasthan Patrika Dated 10-December-2010 about the extended warranty upto 60000 km or four years to all consumers new and old of your well known product TATA nano
            I am one of the first consumers of nano thus I've paid Rs. 1,40,842 including RTO and insurance + extended warranty amount Rs. 2750 Approx.

            Since I've paid the amount for extending the warranty I want my refund as mentioned in the newspaper that the facility will be available to all the customers without any extra money

              Had given cancellation of my tata nano allotment on 28.8.2010. My UIN is[protected]. While the company promises to refund by 45 days. It is almost 3 months and I have not got the refund. Reason provided by the parrots (Call centre) are:

              1. Received the cancellation application for processing too late from the dealer (VST Motors Chennai)
              2. The date of refund starts only from the day that the forms are received from dealer
              3. It is not 45 days but 45 working days and they work only 5 days a week and includes all festivals and holidays applicable to all states in India
              4. We have escalated to [protected]@tatamotors.com and you also write
              5. Cheque is being done and would be sent within a short period of time (not mentioning the time) while tatanano gives one standard reply please provide us bank account number and IFSC code for us to remit through NEFT !

              TATA NANO — TATA NANO refund not received

              Hi,

              Tata motors is cheating me and not replying to any of my emails as well.
              My UIN[protected]. I cancelled my nano booking on 19th July 2009. handed over all papers to Concorde motors, dairy circle Bangalore.

              Till 10 september 2009, they have not sent my cheque and tata nano call center is replying evasively. I have called them multiple times.

              Please help me about how to file a consumer case against tata motors.
              They are cheating common people in name of peoples car.
              This is to inform you that I was booked Tata-Nano car but during the allocation I came to know from TATA Motors regarding delivery time is Jan-2011 hence I cancelled my booking vide cancellation no BTLMY-27398 .

              Now almost 60 days passed after cancellation but still I could not get my refund or satisfactory reply from your customer care.

              You are requested please look in to the matter & arrange to send my refund at the earliest.

                My vehicle Tata Nano beraring Reg.No.KA 22 P 1200 met with an minor accident on 26/09/2010 and immediately on the same day I gave the vehicle for repairs at Manickbag Automobiles Udyambag, Belgaum, Karnataka State, who is your authorised Dealer. It is almost one month passed, they are not ready to repair nor deliver the vehicle giving reasons that parts are not being supplied by the manufactorers and it will take some more time to repair and they have kept the vehicle on as is condition. This has been a common reason given by them on every personal visit to the Showroom. Thus I feel it is an harrasement to the customer.

                Hence I request you to take up the matter if the matter is not correct. If there is non supply of parts from your end, it would be an injustice and negligence on your part.

                Hope you will take up the matter and reply me immediately.

                Your reply in this matter shall be highly appreciated.

                  I had purchased a Tata Nano on 31.01.10, bearing Engine No. 273MPF10IPQZE16196 and Chasis No MAT6122519YP17307. I was actually very satified with the vehicle's performance. However on 18th Oct', 2010 while coming from a near by place, my wife suddenly told that there is some burning smell coming from outside. Initially I did not pay much attention thinking that the smell is coming from outside. After about few minutes the smell became acute & we realize that it is coming from the Car itself. Then I asked my wife to get down immediately & I tried to switch off the engine. To my utter surprise the engine did not stop even after I took out the key. After few minutes the engine stopped on its own.Then few minutes I thought since the car was on the middle of the road I should park it a tleast on one side of the road. This time when I put the Key even without switching the ignition on the car started on its own. This happened few times. Then I called the service team of Tata Nano (Swapna Motor, Bhubaneswar). They also had no clues but advised me take the car home. Since my house was nearby I pulled the car to my house. The next day the Dealer has taken the car for repair. On telephonic contact the Dealer informed me that the starter kit of the car had some manufacturing defect. I just want to ask had the vehicle been on a long ride and if the A.C was on, then we could have never smelled the burn.I now feel it is extremely unsafe to drive the Nano on road. Either Tata should replace the car entirely and give me certificate that the Car is safe for driving or should refund the cost of the vehicle. It is extremely sad as to Tata with all its reputation allow such low quality and unsafe product to be sold. I need your help to take it up with Tata as many more such vehicle are on the road.

                      I booked my nano CX at the time of initial booking and paid Rs. 1,20,000/- as booking amount and got delivery in September 2010. I have upgraded it to Nano LX by paying diffence of amount and got Tata Nano Lx On 30/07/2010 thr dealer ASPI Cars Ahmedabad

                      Following complaints

                      (i) Inner lining, in front and back is very stiff, cutting is not accurate, not enough margin so every day that lining comes out from the body. Quality is very inferior type compared to other nano cars of the same model or CX. It is very stiff and rough material.
                      (2) On backside above engine, cracked and lower quality body material is used
                      (3) Rug material used in dikky portion is also of inferior quality
                      (4) Bonet portion was damaged, which one could see.( At the time of delivery ) So ASPI men changed the bonet and took two hours. We have to sit their and wait for 2 hours at the time of delivery. It was too late so we could not check much.
                      (5) After coming home we noticed one dent below car But ASPI men are saying no it was not there at the time of delivery Bottom metal sheet is badly bent, I[censored] want I can sebd u some photographs also
                      (6) One thing I want to say about ASPI cars your dealer - Not at all satisfactory Some of the scratched and complaint about door they promised to cover up in first service but we suffered a lot. The car was not ready at the time of delivery and also at the time of first service.
                      (7) A.C. Jali shutters are not finished well

                      I was very much exited about my new car and which was world's the best cos. smallest car and praised by world's great people. I m fan of Tata Group. I m possessing Gold Card of West side and also of Tanishque. I m using many TATA items like car, watches, ornaments, clothes, mobiles, phones, etc etc and very much satisfied with all the items. i m also holding shares and mutual fund s of TATA group of co. since long.
                      But this nano car disappointed me. My sister has also same nano car but has very nice finnishing inside and outside so we were very much happy aout the car but particularly my piece of car given by ASPI is not worth and it totally disappointed me.

                      So what u can do in this matter Please help me to find a way and guide me

                      NANO LX — PLEASE SEE THE DETAIL

                      I regret to inform you that inspite of my repeated complaints to your office as well as to your Jamshedpur Agent: ASL MOTOR, ADITYAPUR,JAMSHEDPUR.both of you are not at all keen in solving my problem. I am again informing the complaints for your early action.
                      I purchase TATA NANO (LX model B4) on 20th September 2011 from the above mentioned Agency. The detail of my car:

                      While go through the car service manual/service book, I came to know that the unique code no plate is to be attached with each key set. But o have not yet received the same from the agency or from your side.
                      Even after 2 month, I have not yet received the Registration No of my Car. It became real problem to us to take out the car without registration no.
                      On 25th Nov. my car got starting problem, I informed to the helpline and they contact to our local Service centre. After checking they informed that the Alternator is not working and they are going to repair the same, but my question is why repairing instead of replacement of the same?
                      I feel proud to say I am working in a Tata house Company (TRF Ltd.) since more than 30 years. So I believe that Customer Satisfaction, honesty and promise made towards them are the primary tasks of all Tata House Companies

                        from mareena motors,calicut I booked to change the spairparts of my tata nano car reg: no: KL 11 AE 1530.on15 09 2010.they said to me that you come on 16 'th morning we will give the car in the evening.From kalpetta (there is my working place)in the early morning I reached at mareena motors and gave the car. but they denied my request todo the work.then I returned from there.And also I complaint to tata motors about my problems.but they did not take steps to rectify my problmes.Ihad occured so many economic losses.so do the needfull actions
                        from marvellous motors, calicut I booked to change the spairparts of my tata nano .on15 04 2011.they said to me that you come on 16 'th morning we will give the car in the evening.From devale (there is my working place)in the early morning I reached at marvellous motors and gave the car. but they denied my request todo the work.then I returned from there.And also I complaint to tata motors about my problems.but they did not take steps to rectify my problmes.Ihad occured so many economic losses.so do the needfull actions

                          The Tata Dealer RD motor in VIP road. The peoples are working in Nano department regularly harasing and telling lie.

                          From Tata there is nobody to look after their behaviour. Every time Nano retainee customers are facing different type of stories. like your billing has been done, sent for registartion, Your payment aggreement is balance.

                          It is very sorry to feel that, From tata there is nobody to control over such type of fraud peoples working in RD motors, VIP road.

                          Everyday from puna Tata representative calling and asking, have you got your nano?? when asking to dealer the fraud and lie things are coming.

                          Can Ratan Tata help to get peoples car to peoples waiting from 1 year ???

                          I have bought Tata Nano std. in Nov 2010, An executive Mr.Prakash Singh has completed all paper works, he has taken all the documents related to purchase nano also he has taken an amount of Rs.8000/- for registration but there is a 4 months passed but I have not got my registration number of my vehicle. Please suggest me what I have to do.

                            I have booked Tata nano last year in 2009. I cancelled my booking in 23rd March 2010 but as of Sept 1, 2010, I still have not received my money back. I have been following with their customer care center in Pune but did not got favorable response. Just assurance that they will credit money in week which did not happen since 5 months.                             I have been alloted the tata nano. However, due to ,some family
                            emergencies, I cancelled the allotment. I have applied for the
                            cancellation of my alloted Tata Nano on 13/05/2010.
                            As Its over 90days now, I have still neither received any response
                            from Tata Motors nor the refund of Booking Amount. I have made
                            several calls to your TML call centers[protected] but didnt get
                            any satisfactory response.

                            The status on the Tata nano booking status site was previously shown
                            as " Cancellation is in progress". But now its showing " Your Tata
                            Nano has been retained" However, I haven't applied/requested for any
                            retention. I need my REFUND BACK.

                            Request you to please look into this matter with urgent priority and
                            please provide my refund amount asap.

                              It is really a big matter of sorrow and really sad to inform you that ‘nano’ which is getting worldwide attention and desired to be an ambitious project of TATA, is actually creating problem to its esteemed customers.

                              I bought nano last year in the month of November from A One Dealer in Connaught Place, New Delhi having No DL10C 0622 with great joy and expectation from TATA Group but it’s really unfortunate since from the very beginning of my purchase that I am facing problems on regular intervals. Firstly there was some discrepancy in my R.C as there was spelling mistake in my Father’s name, then I spoke to my dealer to get it rectified and submitted the R.C back but till date neither I received my R.C back nor any sort of communication from their side. And I think there is no need to tell you that driving in the capital without R.C is quite a risky task.

                              Now the recent and major problem which arises is regarding water logging in front rear seat of my car due to rain. This problem is comes only during rainy period despite repeated attempts to A One Motor Workshop, nothing has been done till date and the problem of water logging is still there due to which the interiors of my car are getting deteriorated due to water logging, It seems that the TATA Nano has some manufacturing defects. Smell is coming out of my car and the risk of short circuit has arisen due to this defects . The service personnel of Motor workshop are not doing their job with due perfection and simply misguided the customers as I think they have inadequate knowledge about how to deal with this problem.

                              So kindly look into this matter and get it resolved as soon as possible otherwise I have no any option except knocking the doors of consumer court as my problem is still unsolved and going to deaf ears of dealer workshop personnel.

                              My previous request to tata motors is 1-[protected] dated 13/082010.

My car booking has been cancelled by the Tata motors company due to finance problem. When I enquired about the refund of the booking amount, I was informed that my amount will be refunded shortly.                                   I have Tata Nano LX Sunshine Yellow since 6th May 2010. Car gives a mileage of just 10 Kms per litre Delhi traffic.

                                  I have tested my car various times and each time the mileage was around 10 Kms per litre

                                  I can also aceept a mileage of 15 Kms per litre but a mileage of just 10.5 Kms per litre is totally unacceptable especially when the ARAI certified mileage is 23.6 Kms per litre.

                                  There have been absolutely contradictory reviews about the mileage of the Tata Nano on portals like Cardheko and Mouthshut. While some Nano owners have written that they are getting an excellent mileage of 21 Km per litre in City Traffic with the AC on there are other Nano owners who have written that they are getting only 10 Km per litre or even lesser in City Traffic with the AC on.
                                  How can there be such a wide variation of over 50% in fuel average whatever the driving conditions or driving skills may be ?
                                  I am a Nano LX owner and my Nano is consistently giving just 10.5 Km per litre for the past nine months having covered 4000 Kms. I have carefully tested my Nano for the last six months running 2500 Kms and have with me irrefutable data to prove that my Nano is consistently giving a mileage of only 10.5 Km per litre in City Traffic. I have passed on this data to Tata Motors.
                                  Mr. R Gopala Krishnan - Senior Manager - Customer Support, Tata Motors Chennai has driven my Nano along with a two member Plant Testing Team for three days and has orally confirmed that my Nano gives only 10.5 Kms in City Traffic. He has also confirmed that my Nano also gave him a mileage of 23 Km per litre when he tested it on the Highway which is a blatant lie because I have tested my Nano on the Highway with a diagnostics laptop attached and the mileage recorded was only 18 Km per litre.
                                  From what I have gathered in the last six months speaking to several Nano owners in Chennai and Kolkatta is that most of the Nano’s are giving 16 to 18 + Kms per litre in City Traffic with the AC on and the mileage apparently goes as high as 21 Km per litre in City Traffic with the AC on which is really fantastic.
                                  At the same time, there are a handful o[censored]nfortunate defective Nano owners like me who are consistently getting just 10 to 11 Km per litre in City Traffic with the AC on.
                                  This kind of variation is absurd and what is even more absurd is the statement of Mr. V. Ramesh Kumar (another Senior Manager with Tata Motors, Chennai) wherein he has confirmed in writing that “Your car is absolutely trouble free and the fuel average you got in such conditions is very appreciable”. Absolute nonsense and pasteurised .
                                  I am still waiting for Tata Motors to break their silence and come forward to do whatever needs to be done so that I also get a mile of 16 to 18 Km per litre.

                                    I purchased One tatanano standard model in Feb this year and one Cx Model in may
                                    this year

                                    While brakes of Cx Model are ok but in stanard model it does not operate properly
                                    Because of this I had a nearly fatal accident on this 20th march.

                                    I have long experience of driving. My stanard model car did not stop at desired point
                                    Hence I met with collision with another car at crosing.

                                    Now either make the brake like Cx model or hange the car I am afraid of driving

                                    TATA MOTORS PROMISED TO DELVER ONE LAC TATA NANO CARS WITHIN 90 DAYS OF BOOKING. I BOOKED CAR THROUGH SBI LALAUDA BRANCH SECUNDERABAD ON 13/4/2009 WITH APPLICATION NO.[protected]. BUT TO MY SURPRISE I RECEIVED A ALLOTMENT LETTER FROM TATA MOTORS AND THE ALLOTMENT WAS GIVEN SOME WHERE BETWEEN JAN AND MAR 2011 THOUGH I TICKED TO REFUND MY AMOUNT IF NOT ALLOTED WITHIN 90 DAYS. I SPENT MY HARD EARNED MONEY RS.5000/- FOR BOOKONG. THIS IS CLEAR CUT CHEATING CASE. KINDLY DO NEEDFUL IN THE MATTER IN GETTING MY RS.5000/- .THE SBI BANK ALSO DEEMED FIT FOR CHEATING CASE SINCE THEY ASKED ME TO CANCEL THE BOOKING BY 13/7/2009 OTHERWISE THE EMI WILL START FROM NEXT MONTH NOT EVEN THE PRODUCT REACHED MY HOME.

I have learnt that first one lac cars will be released within 90 days of booking closure i.e 21/4/09. but i got allotment letter from tatamotors saying i have been alloted car within one lac customers but the car will be delivered around jan and mar, 2011 with immediate starting of EMI when even the product reached me.my apllication no.is[protected]. this nothing but cheating the middle class people like me. I have spent my hard earned money rs5000/- for booking kindly do needful to me.

                                    Yes, he is true! I have also been allotted a Nano Car vide Application No[protected]. The car has to be delivered between July-September, 2009. I have also got converted my booking loan in to Tata Nano Car Loan from SBI/TANUKU on 13.07.2009 vide loan a/c No:[protected]. But, to my dismay, I found my booking has been cancelled by TM on 09.08.2009. Despite following the advise of the Nano call center, I could not get satisfacyory reply. My booking status has also not yet been brought to 'LIVE', so far. I have also paid the EMI due 13.08.2009. Wrote letters, sent e-mails to the Tata Nano Group, but in vain... Can some body help me in getting the status of my booking of the car changed to " LIVE " ? and the delivery of the car before September, 2009- as scheduled ?!...                                     I purchased Nano A.C model from Kamal Motors, Tonk Road, Jaipur in 2010. That was the period when persons were reluctant to buy this car because of poor opinion of fuel consumption & other engine problems. But still I purchased because of Tata's name was involved who never disappoint their customer.
                                    Sice last 3 months Nano developed a fault inside Master Cylinder who control brake system of the car resulting exerting 3 or 4 pedal to build hydraulic pressure to apply brake initially 1 pedal was sufficient to stop the car. Generally the brake fails because of leakage of brake oil from tubes. Master cylinder problem is rare. So I have stopped driving this car because non availability of Master Cylinder in the market. Will Tata motor inquire why such problem developed in such a short period.

                                      My Tata Nano Uniique ID No. is[protected].I received a SMS on 16th JUly that My Tata Nano is ready for delivery.When I contacted to M/s Basudeb Auto,Ranchi a dealer of Tata Motors ,they said that it is not ready.Pl. confirm when I have to get it from the showroom.
                                      Also I am the Retainee of one year ,hence why Rs. 6,000/- has been increased in the car?

                                        TATA — tata nano booking

                                        I am NRI, booked tata nano via NRI a/c. The booking time the nano website asked refund information in case o[censored]nsucessfull. Bank A/c, IFSC code, Bank name etc. was given for refund. Now, Nano has send me a cheque with for NRI a/c and bank refuse to deposit. Who is responsible for delay and lost of interest as well as principal.
