I HAVE BOOKED FOR TATA NANO 2012, BS IV MODEL ON 29/01/2012 AT SAKTHI AUTO CARS, OPPOSITE TO FATHIMA COLLEGE, MADURAI AND PAID RS.5000/- .THEY ADVISED ME THAT THE OFFER IS UNTIL 31/01/2012 ONLY AND TO REMIT THE BALANCE AMOUNT OF RS.1,87,288/- EXCLUDING THE OFFER OF RS.35,00,000/- BY URGING ME. AS PER THIER INSTRUCTION, I HAVE REMITTED THE FULL AMOUNT ON RS.1,87,288/- ON 31/01/2012 IN THIER COMPANY'S SAVINGS BANK ACCOUNT IN TAMILNADU MERCANTILE BANK, BEARING THE ACCOUNT NUMBER:[protected] AND BRANCH IFSC CODE : TMBL000093 AND THE SAME IS CREDITED WITH THE UTR NUMBER : [protected]. BUT IAM VERY SORRY TO SAY THAT MY VEHICLE IS STILL NOT DELIVERED TO ME AND THEY NEVER CALLED ME BACK FOR ANY FURTHER INFORMATION. I TRIED TO CALL THEM FOR ENQUIRES, BUT STILL NO GAIN. I CALLED MR.PRAGASPATHI, SALES REPRESENTATIVE AND SRI.VELMURUGAN, MANAGER, BUT HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY RESPONSIBLE INFORMATION FROM THEM. THEY ARE PURPOSEFULLY REJECTING MY PHONE CALLS. KINDLY DO THE NEEDFUL AND ARRANGE FOR THE DELIVER OF THE NEW VEHICLE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, OTHERWISE IAM FORCED TO CANCEL MY ORDER.

    I had ordered for a TATA NANO 2012 CX on the 31st of December, 2011. I had paid (22000 + 3000) Rs. 25000 for booking it to K.B. Motors. The car was promised to me in 15 working days. Since I booked the car I have faced nothing but harassment from K.B. Motors. Even after submitting every document they had asked for, they keep coming back with excuses that something or the other is still required and they cannot deliver the car until I submit more documents. I have given them all existing documents that is humanly possible. It seems ordering a car from TATA is more difficult than buying a gun! I have lost all hope as nothing has come through till date and when I spoke of cancelling the order because of their problems, they told me that they cannot refund the entire amount as some of it will be deducted as cancellation charges. My family has bought cars and no one has faced such harassment as I have with TATA. This seems to be an easy way of earning a few bucks from cancellations which is disgraceful.

        Hello,

        I am Kapil Vasani,

        I bought Tata Nano Cx in October/November 2010. On the third day of the delivery, my car started leaking drops of oil. I immediately went to Cargo Motors (dealer of Tata Motors in Ahmedabad on SG Highway) and they kept my car for nearly 20 days and finally gave me back. They informed me that Tata Motors has replaced the whole "gear box assembly" and to my surprise in no time it started leaking again! Again, I had to bring it to Cargo Motors, they did some sealing this time and rectified the problem and all worked well until January 30th, 2012, when again I started noticing a drop of oil under my car engine....the same old problem. I have fatched it back to Cargo Motors and they are not able to tell me when they can return the car. The car is working very well otherwise, but this problem of oil leak is just not tolerable. I would be really thankful if something can be done about this problem.

          Dear sir,
          We bought a Tata Nano on 6/10/2011, and while taking the delivery we saw that the rims of the Tyre were damaged and rusted. Immediately we complained the same to the Manager of KVR Tata Motors from were we bought the vehicle. He promised us that at the time of service he will correct the same. After some time when it was the time for us to realise that the mileage is less than 10 kms as against the promised 23 kms we were shocked and all our excitement of buying a car was shattered. We complained about this too all in return we got was a smile from the receptionist and the manager nothing more than that. Till date even after 3 months from the date of purchase the rims are still the same and the mileage as not showed any improvement. We feel cheated and have no where to go. Pls help.

            Hi,
            I have purchased a TATA Nano on loan from Tata Motors Finance in October 2011. During the time of purchase it was said that the loan agreement will be done for an annual rate of interest of 13.5 percent per ann.
            As per that we have signed an agreement with TMF (Details mentioned below).
            After booking of contract we came to know that the interest rate was 17 percent per ann. When enquired with the Sales executive Mr.Ajay (Concorde Motors, Kolar) we were told that since they used only 8 security cheques out of 18 provided hence the rate of interest was revised.
            How can rate of interest change without any notice. There were several round of communications with the officials of Concorde & TMF, No one is helping me out. Because of this on my loan amount of 1.5 lacs I loose more than 20 thousand INR. Requesting for Help.

              Sir/s,

              This has reference to the exchange offer that TATA MOTORS is offering, wherein they are also airing their ads on TV as well as in newspapers, giving Rs.40,000/- exchange offer + 15,000/- discount on new vehicle, totalling to Rs.55,000/-.

              Would like to draw your kind attention, that we have purchased Tata Nano Cx Model in Jan 2011. On the launch of new Tata Nano 2012, and on reading the above ad published by Tata Motors, we were very happy and excited and approched Tata Motors Showroom at Prabhadevi for exchange of our Nano for the 2012 model (as the features in 2012 are much more sophisticated than the earlier models). But we were very disappointed when we were informed that a Nano cannot be exchanged for any car and not even for a Nano. And if at all we were interested, we would have to sell off our Nano and go in for the 2012 model. They offered us only around Rs. 70,0000/- (max) for our Nano. We were shocked to hear this. The car is not even 1 year old, one service is yet pending and this is the resale value. We regretted having purchased Nano. The average covered by the car is very poor ie., around 11-12 on Mumbai road with AC on. (Half the time is AC cooling is not up to the mark). We belong to middle class family and cannot afford any other car with a high value. Earlier when Nano was introduced they advertised saying that 'ek lakh ki gadi' but actually the cost touches around 2 lacs clearing all their formalities. Would like to inform that the car is so delicate that even a push by a cycle gives a dent in the body of the car. Giving an instance of this- while driving a rickshaw slightly dashed my Nano from the rear end and to my surprise I found the bumper getting detached from the dashed end. I would only like to point out and bring to the notice of Tata Motors that when we consumers buy any vehicles of Tata, we only keep in mind the name Ratan Tata The very name gives a lot of comfort and assurance, but seeing to the pathetic quality of the vehicle we really have very high regrets. Lastly would like to point out what is the sense of going in for a vehicle where the resale value is equivalent to as good as nil.

              Needless to say, that Nano is not the first vehicle that we are using. We earlier had bought Maruti 800 (second hand) which we used for around 4-5 years, but when we parted with the vehicle the returns that we got were far better than what we are being offered for a 1st hand Nano which has not even completed 1 year.

              Need your assistance and guidance as to what should we do if we need to go in for the new launched 2012 Nano.

              Hey man, never look at these exchange bonuses offer. These are just for advertisement. Never give attention to these useless things. Just purchase a new car from the showroom and sale to a local poor dealer or individually. Again, move to a less stylish showroom, if available in your city. The stylish one's charges a lot.

              Last year, I want to exchange my Alto Lxi with SX4 ZXi. On SX4, they were telling that one will get a benefit of 50K i.e. Free Insurance (18K) + Gift Cheque (10K) + Exchange bonus (22K).

              Now, Free Insurance was great. About the gift cheque, one can install the accessories from the showroom itself. So, I felt to install a Sub-woofer + Amplifier for it. MRP of Sony's Sub-woofer was 6, 999 & of that Amplifier was 5, 999 i.e. in total 13, 000. In normal market, you will get the combination at 10, 500-11, 000. But, the showroom's price was at MRP. So, it can be said that Gift Cheque is not worth 10K but 8K instead.

              Well, this is also ok. But, exchange bonus was just a fake one. Apart from Alto, we have 2 other cars at home. So, it's from general logic that Alto was a lot less driven. My younger brother used it to go to school from it, which is around 6kms from my home. In total, the car had driven around 20, 000 kms when we get it evaluated.

              We had purchased the car at 3.03 lakh after all the discounts in June, 2006. We had installed Pioneer music system worth 15K; Maruti's genuine Anti-theft, body-coloured bumpers, electrical ORVM, leather touch seat covers (5K), fog lamps, White headlight & power windows. In total, the accessories costing were around 50K. Car was regulary serviced & there were only a few scratches at the rear left bumper & a little bit over doors.

              You can say that car's price to be 3.5 lakhs. Now, when I get it evaluated at Maruti's True (Fake) value, they had estimated the car's price to be 1.3 lakhs only and then added the 22K over it. In total, they were offering just 1.52 lakhs; on extreme pressure, they finally increased to 1.65 lakhs only.

              When I was arguing with those , they had found defect on my car worth 17K rupees (painting 8K) & other defects worth 9K. In 20K, you can get the whole car painted. I cannot figure out, how they are saying 8K for minor scracthes.

              Again, they claimed indirectly that I had changed the Odometer. When the discussion had turned to a war outlook, they proved their words by telling that how a car of 2006 model can travel just 20, 000 kms, as it is used very harshly. They were calling themselves as expert.
              I don't know what's the problem in the engine, acceleration of the car was great, mileage was again a nice one; but still was driven harshly according to those so called ****** experts.

              I **** those so called experts by saying that if you are an expert, then why are you working in a show-room with a salary less than 15K; my monthly expenditure on the cars is far above that. I had heard this dialogue in a serial but that's true. If they are really an expert, then why they are working with such a less salary. They might get a job in the car magazine companies.

              Again, while roaming in the showroom, I found that they are selling 2007 model Maruti 800-AC (with normal music system only) which had driven around 53, 000kms at 1.35 lakhs only (so called 'only' in their language). My car has a lot more things, but just was one year old, offering to me was just 30K more than it.

              I had not purchased SX4 from that showroom but moved to another showroom which is far below in style compared to that one. They were selling the Sony's woofer+Amplifier at 11, 800. Finally, we sold my Alto to one of our loyal employee. According to this new owner, he purchased our Alto at very good price, he still feels that deal was in his favor & not in our favor. It has been around 9 months, but he is a lot satisfied with the car; having no problems.

              While fixing the price with him, we had not spell anything & given him the authority to evaluate the price. Initially, he was not willing to quote the price. After thousands of experiments over our car, he concluded the price to the lowest possible value as he know that whatever he will quote the price, we will deny it & ask for a higher price. Remember that he is not a fool person but an experienced person of 55 years. He used to manage our all government related works. He must have scanned all the showrooms before uttering anything about the price.

              Can you guess the price?

              He had offered us 2 lakhs for the car which is the lowest possible quote. Finally, after a long discussion, we sold the car at 2 lakhs, 10 thousand excluding the cost of ownership transfer. The showroom was offering 1.65 lakhs after the exchange bonus. 45, 000 more than their offering. Again, the new owner feels that the we had charged a lot less as he had been loyal towards us family from a long time. Isn't that a joke!

              If that is not a joke, showroom would be making a profit of more than 50, 000 rupees on my car. Isn't it?

              i purchaged car india vista 16/12/2012. at the purchage time executive was says your bonus money will received with in 90 day. but now after 250 days till not provide my bonus money. so i request to all customer dont puchage any tata car during exchange bonus offer. and very bad customer care service.

                i have purchase TATA nano cx on 6th oct 2011.

                i have a big problem for car starting i again and again complain for battery change but they gave me false clues. i have 20 days for this still there is no solution.i ask for battery warranty card but they did not provide me.

                my car has not start with cell,so i visited at shraddha motors bharuch and also complain about battery fault and car wheel problem but when they check they have available brake cylider but i don't mind that....

                `Ipurches nano lx through auto link dealers on 12/8/2009 and getting good service from them at thier worksop at rama road workshop.Car No end at 1756.Maib problrm is nonavalability of spare parts viz side niror sid exhaust panel etc.kindly look into the matter.

                  engine overheated and check engine indicator coming on

                  on 05/11/2011 my nano car current problem and engine check indicator coming on constatntly.I booked my car for maintanece to car dealer at A S L Motors jamshedpur and handover the same.
                  after eight days struggling they can not rectified the problem.During this period an another problem is observed .engine over heated indicator appeared and engine stopped on the way. may car no.;- JH05AG-6124...

                  1) The audio system (TAKARA), which was forced upon me for installation, is over-priced and the audio speakers on the rear doors, which was promised, has not been installed. When I pointed out this problem, they bluntly refused to install the speakers and told me to do whatever I like. This attitude is not conducive with a group like yours. Please do the needful at the earliest.

                  2) After a month’s usage, I found a lot of rattling noise on the left side of the dash board. Further, at slow speeds, the engine kept getting cut off. When I try to start the car after this, it does not start that easily, creating a chaos in the traffic. The clutch has to be re-adjusted, so also the gear box which does not engage properly, especially in the reverse gear. The starter also needs to be looked into. Subsequently, as promised, they sent a driver, picked up my car, took it to the factory for necessary action. But I was shocked to observe that nothing has been done except using my entire fuel. When I again complained to your dealer (KHT Motors, Bangalore), they said that it is not their business and I should take it straight to the factory which is 20 Kms from my residence. This “Don’t Care” attitude should be taken into consideration in the business point of view. By this complaint, I request you to immediately attend to this issue, do the needful and also advice your dealer to be more polite with senior citizens like me.

                  Please note that as promised, the car (for either repair or service) must be picked up from my residence and brought back after the repairs.

                  I agree with you Mr.Acharya. Today I went to get a new car in KHT Motors, Indiranagar, and I must say, they have a very un-customer friendly way of dealing with things. There is this very rude and loud mouth talking Manager Mr.Rajesh Diwan (supposed to be the Branch Head) throwing all technical jargon and acting too smart (just because he's studied law it seems). For a first timer who had gone there to purchase a car, I was stunned to see his way of talking to a customer. Doesn't he realize that that his salary comes from customer like us who pay from our hard earned money to buy their products and then get this type of responses?! Shame to them. Isn't making the customer feel important in every transaction? Isn't there a moral obligation there, not just a financial one? Someday he will learn from his karma. What goes around comes around. When God judges us, all law and rules are set aside, only the humanity is there for judgement.
                  Well to make a long story short, I personally tore up all the documents given and took back all mine (who knows for what sinister purpose they may be using these if in their hands?!) and walked out from the showroom and have decided never to buy anything from there ever again. I have been to many dealers in my search for a car, but no one has made a customer feel like a piece of garbage, that too at the initial point of sale itself. I wonder how they deal with customers once they have bought the product?!! God save us! Your case seems to have highlighted this in it's true essence. Thank you sir for your review!

                    I believe that customer service has sent only a auto generated message and nobody listen/read or write any communication to their clients. Is this the behavior of the esteemed company like TATA.
                    For God sake kindly provide the solution to get my refund back. Should i assume that TATA has forfeited my booking amount or has taken voluntarily donation from our side.
                    I am a retired senior citizen widow, please pass this Message to Sh Ratan Tata to do the justice.

                      This is in reference to the TATA Nano which Was bought in 2009 november. We , the family , was very excited to have the dream product of TATA but all got shattered when first complaint of harness updation recd from dealer,After fue months we recd the call to get AC pipe line updated but during service ,we were told that condenser of AC is damaged for which we had to pay the charges. After few months we faced a problem of 4th gear not getting power ( Car did not run in 4th gear) for which TATA motors replaced the total gear box. Then there was a problem of acceration in nuetral position. Emergeny services had been taken from TATA motors.Therafter we complained about the tire wear (front) at mileage of hardly 6000 km. We were told that there was an error of wheel alignment which has been corrected on chargeable basis but the problem persists. Again we complaint and same answer came and correction is done by the dealer (w/o charges) but front tyres are getting wornout premature at mileage of 7500 km. My car has run for hardly 8500km and front tyres are wornout.
                      I request TATA Motors to get both the front tyre replaced.

                      TATA NANO — poor quality of product

                      i had a problem with the car from the day of purchase.
                      first the a.c. then gear box & now the suspension is broken in just one year
                      Car no. MH15 1853 it was my bigest mistake going for buying such poor quility product.
                      Seems that your car had been into TATA MOTORS operation theater many times :)

                      This refers to my complaint dtd 25th septemeber. Complaint has been attended by TATA Motors and a call from TATA motors came and had been directed to get the vehicle tested at Apex Motors Phase 2 Industrial Area Chandigarh. We took the car to them and same answer received that alignment is out. I donot understand that how alignment goes out at every complaint. They charged for realignment and told us to get the tyres changed as vehicle is out of warranty. When first complaint was lodged at Hind Motors, vehicle was in warranty. Dealer has nor attended the complaint well and tyres of my vehicle got wornout premature. Vehicle has already no of manufacturing flaws and TATA Motors has lost customers in plenty. This is another manufacturing defect which TATA Motors is not handling well. Therefore I again request to TATA Motors to look into the design or manufacturing practice and get the tyres of my vehicle replaced at the earliest as these will not run for another more than 200 Km.

                      On suggestion of M/S Apex Motors, I contacted Tata Motors after sales and service deptt in Chandigarh but did not get the satisfactory answer. I have been told that complaint is to be lodgedt to tyre manufaturer and TATA Motors will do something. Unforunately nothing has happened till date and tyres are wornout to larger extent.

                      I again request TATA Motors to attend the complaint and get the tyres replaced imediately.I donot have that much spare time to go to dealer again and again and listen the same answer of misaligned.

                      I fully agree with the complainant. I bought a Tata Nano in Sept. 2010 and within one and a half years the vehicle went to the workshop at least 4 times with different complaints. On two occassions it had to be towed to the workshop. The vehicle has barely run 4000 kms and within this all these problems. Further the paint also has already started peeling off. All this clearly shows that the car has been made with sub-standard quality material and the customers who believed in Tata name have literally been taken for a ride by Tata Motors. Nano is a shame on the name of Tata.

                        I, the undersigned, hereby putforth the following problems being faced by me for your kind perusal and earlier remedial action please.
                        I booked TATA Nano Car in the month of May 2009 through State Bank of India, Phaphadih Branch, Raipur (C.G) (ID No.[protected]. My name was in the returns list in June 2009 booking result. By sticking to the returns list, I converted it to Car Loan through SBI, Phaphadih Branch, Raipur (CG). The car loan A/c No. is [protected] and on 4th August 2010, I got the car from National Garage, Raipur, CG.
                        I took this opportunity to remind you that TATA Motors has announced that it will pay all customers covered under returns list 8.5% interest for the booking amount of Rs. 1,20,000/- from booking date to car delivery date. The same is also mentioned in the letter issued by TATA Motors.
                        TATA Motors has sent Cheque No. 653188 for Rs. 2,431/- (Rs. Two thousand four hundred and thirty one only) for the period from 23rd June 2009 to 18th September 2009 which I encashed. But, actually, I was supposed to get the interest from 23rd June 2009 (date of returns list) to 4th August 2010 (delivery date).
                        In this regard, I contacted the customer care service several times. Everytime I was assured for the difference of payment and was asked to wait for one more week. Then I started sending mails & letters in this regard but in vain till date.
                        I, therefore, once again request you to look into the matter and arrange payment of interest @ 8.5% for the period from 19th August 2009 to 4th 2010 (which works out approx. Rs. 9,780/-).

                          my name is sushama pal. i live in firozabad. i have a purchased a tata nano on 13/09/2011 from ashok auto sales, agra. they delivered me the vehicle in the night at 8 pm. when next day i was washing the vehicle i noticed that it is repainted from back and left side. when i go to the showroom manager Mrs shruti, she said it is the fault from workshop guys and you have to go to the workshop, when i go to the workshop, mr. vijay sharma was there and he said it is the fault from the tata motors, sometimes they send this type of dented and repainted vehicle. we can't do anything. you need to go to showroom. when i go to showroom , mrs shruti said, we can't do any thing. i dont know whose fault is this. there is no customer service at the dealership. they treated me like a fool. plz help me out otherwise i will go to the court and media and get justice from there. these guys are doing fraud with the customers. i will tell everybody that ashok auto sales and tata motors are selling defective vehicles to the customers. this is my first car but now this vehicle is like a mental trauma for me, plz help me out.

                            This is to inform you that I had received my Tata Nano in the month of December 2009 and it has been approximately a year and a half and has run about 8200 Kms. The details of my purchase and my car are attached herewith.
                            I regret to inform you that I am not at all satisfied with the performance of the said car. Recently I did a paid service at one of the authorized Tata Motors Service Center and to my utter surprise I came to know that the body of my Nano has been eaten by RUST at many places including the front and the sides at the gates and may be at places not visible from outsides. There was no anti-rust coating provided in the front as well as at the inner part of the four gates and they were even not painted before delivery. The mileage continuously remains a problem and the air conditioner also is not up to the mark, along with hard gear and clutch with very poor quality of the bumpers on both front and rear.
                            Now you only tell me what should I do? Where should I go and whom should I look up to? The person at the service center said that a thorough repairing will need to be done for the rust, but why should this rust happen so early? It is not even 2 years before which such an event took place and we middle class society people who thought this car will prove cost effective for us is turning the other way around and these kinds of things are not taken care of in the warranty even.
                            I am enclosing herewith some of the scanned documents regarding my car as well as some pictures of the rust eaten areas. I hope some major immediate action will be taken regarding my car and that my earnest request/complaint will be taken into consideration as fast as possible.

                              I paid 28000/-(Twenty eight thousand only) for registration and insurance of the car.I receive the Insurance copy but still today I have not receive the registration number and papers.several times I complained to K.B.Motors but they are not taking the matter seriously.
                              The sales person as well as the K.B.Motor are total fraud.
                              I don't understand what you mean by not getting the registration ! The agent delivers the car to you with a temporary registration number, and you are required to go to your area RTO with the vehicle and the necessary documents for the Registration . You bought the car in march. Are you still running it without insurance ?
                              I have already register nano car in 2009 firstly released nano car through allover India media and news paper . I already paid advance Rs.3500.00 through ICICI Bank, Nanganallur branch. My name is K.S.Narayanan, and address is 20/18th street, , Ram Nagar, Nanganallur, Chennai=600061.                                 But despite lapse of nearly nine months the booking amount of Rs 95,000/- has not been refunded to me. Repeated tele-conversation with call centre & email have also been of no result.
